chapter fourteen — epilogo
➝ when the nature of their relationship is revealed to the world, fernando and charlie end up having a serious conversation about the direction they want to take.
➝ word count: 2,2k
➝ warnings: spanish media, insecurity
➝ author's note: tagging @christianpulisic10, @alonsogirlie, @he-is-the-destined, @sunnytkm23 and @enaticosencantados as requested.
Sitting on the couch with the remote in her hand, Charlie frantically scanned the channels on the television. Probably none of them would be broadcasting Brighton's game in Spain, after all, if the team wasn't facing one of the big clubs in England, nobody really cared. But, it wouldn't hurt to take a look to confirm.
However, she stopped on one of the channels when she saw a familiar image on the screen that made up the program's scenario.
Marina?
The screen split to a live entry of a dark-haired woman who appeared to be in a park. Dropping the controller on the couch, Charlie couldn't stop watching, even though she didn't understand anything that was being said. But in a way, she didn't even need to.
— Hola Anne, buenas tardes.
A familiar photo appeared over the screen. Charlie's stomach twisted.
Suddenly, the television turned off.
Charlie let out a gasp of protest, before turning around to see Fernando's serious gaze. She felt like a naughty child who had just been caught doing something she shouldn't.
— Why were you watching this? — he asked.
— I wasn't — Charlie stammered, feeling his face heat up — I was looking for the Brighton match…
— That didn't look like the Brighton match, Charlie — Fernando said.
— I know…
He walked around the couch, crutches clicking on the floor as he stopped beside her and sat down. Looking down at her hands, Charlie couldn't shake the discomfort she'd been feeling, not just at being caught watching a news report about what had happened over the past 24 hours, but at being exposed like that.
The day before, after visiting the museum, Fernando took her to the circuit, where the go-kart shed used by students from the school he had set up there was located. After meeting the crew that maintained the equipment, showing her how he tightened the wheels as a teenager, and hearing more about how they took care of the engines, Fernando asked her if she wanted to go for a ride on the track.
— Can I? — Charlie asked, almost as if she were a child delighted by the possibility of playing with a new toy.
— Of course.
Changing into a set of the school's blue overalls and a helmet, Charlie could see through the opening in the visor the smile that Fernando had on his face. Asking her to wait a bit before sitting in the kart, he took his phone out of his pocket and took some pictures of her, telling her that she looked like a real Formula 1 driver.
After the last instructions, Charlie put her foot down on the accelerator, leaving the garage in the direction of the track. Allowing herself to experiment on the asphalt, she couldn't help but laugh when she caught too much of one of the kerbs in one of the corners or when she almost lost the rear at the last chicane. Driving the kart around made her feel strangely nostalgic, especially when she thought back to the times she and her grandfather had gone to a track in Northampton for a few laps.
When she pulled up in front of the garage, Charlie found Fernando with a wide smile on his face, leaning against the wall.
— So, what do you think? — he asked.
Charlie walked over to him as she took off her helmet and balaclava.
— It's amazing, the kart is very well adjusted and the track is excellent! — she exclaimed, smiling, while the driver took one of his hands to her forehead, fixing her disheveled bangs — And you, what did you think?
— You still need some lessons — Fernando replied, receiving a playful pat on the chest from Charlie — But you've got potential, nena, lots of potential.
After laughing, she gave him a soft kiss, one hand on his face, caressing the driver's cheek. A moment Charlie wanted to keep forever inside her heart and not have it recorded and posted to the entire world. The sensationalist headlines were already sketching in her mind, one worse than the other.
“Fernando Alonso takes his own engineer to bed”.
"Meet Charlie Whitlam, Alonso's newest girl".
"Charlie Whitlam: how an ordinary engineer got one of Formula 1's most eligible bachelors".
— Look, Charlie — Fernando said, breaking the silence in the living room — I already knew this was going to happen.
She glanced in the driver's direction with a raised eyebrow.
— Did you?
— Well, when you achieve a certain notoriety in Spain, let's say your life becomes the object of scrutiny by the press, such as…
— Tabloids? — Charlie asked. She was familiar with abuse in the British press, especially by the tabloids. It was not uncommon to see journalists crowding around the drivers in Silverstone, in search of an image or a bombastic statement to put on the covers of their newspapers.
— Yeah — Fernando replied — The point is that, in one way or another, they would connect the dots between us. And then they would come after us, wanting more and more, just…
— Like it was with all the other girlfriends you had — she completed.
— Yes. I never felt really bad for them because they were people who were used to it. They lived off their own image, so showing up with me wouldn't hurt them. In fact, they even took advantage of this to boost their own careers, which seemed stupid to me…
— You know you can't judge them, right?
— Why not?
— Because you also live off your image and appearing alongside them wouldn't hurt you either. By the way, didn't you pose for a magazine cover with one of them?
Fernando gave an embarrassed giggle.
— Yeah, I did. But… How do you know that?
— I watched your documentary — Charlie murmured.
— Did you? When?
— On the flight to Vegas. By the way, I thought that magazine cover was shit.
He looked shocked.
— But the cover…
— It has a clear power imbalance between you and her, with the clothes and all. I would even say that it was sexist.
— I was shirtless.
— Wearing a suit coat and with her body covering your chest. It was ridiculous, Fer.
The driver stared at her for a few seconds before smiling, squeezing Charlie's hand.
— Okay, I admit, the idea was ridiculous.
— Sexist — she corrected.
— Ridiculous, sexist, any other descriptions you'd like to add?
— Disgusting. Idiotic. An offense to good taste.
— Okay, Charlie, I get it — Fernando sighed— The point is, you're different from them. You're not exactly a known person...
— People know my voice, they've seen me on television with you...
— Charlie, it's not the same as being my girlfriend. For these guys, you stop being a mere engineer to be a source of income. You stop being a person to be a character in their stories. And — he stopped, looking frustrated — Fuck, I didn't want that for you.
— No?
— You don't deserve to live in this scrutiny, in this monitored life, without any privacy, just because I love you — Fernando continued — I want my love to be something safe for you, to be something good and not a source of stress and fear.
Charlie looked at his hand thoughtfully.
— Where are you going with this story? — she asked quietly.
— I want you to know that you don't have to live through this if you don't want to.
— Are you giving me carte blanche to break up with you?
The driver's eyes widened.
— No, no, I don't want you to break up with me, Charlie. In fact, I want you by my side forever. But I don't want my life and everything that comes with it to become a burden on you.
— You would never be a burden, Fer.
— Maybe I'm not, but the spotlight is. Maybe the attention, the comments on the internet, the things people will say in the paddock, all of that is a burden. And I couldn't bear to see you fade just because I love you — he murmured — I want you to keep shining, Charlie. And I want to wake up every day with your light illuminating and warming me.
Something in his words made Charlie feel her eyes fill with tears. She had avoided love at all costs over the years. It was something too difficult, too terrifying for her. It wasn't worth investing in something that would only make her suffer and cry, clutching a bottle of wine and watching some sappy romance movie.
Then Fernando appeared in her life again. It was as if fate wanted them to settle the disputes that one had with the other. And the moment Charlie gave the driver a second chance, she allowed herself to discover a fantastic man, dedicated and loving, who cared about her and would do anything to see her happy.
Love was still difficult and terrifying for Charlie.
But, loving Fernando was the best thing that had happened in her life.
— I'll never fade as long as you're by my side — she said, with a small smile — I love you. And it won't be one article talking about me that will make me give up on you.
— Not even two?
— Not even a million — Charlie said, before approaching his face, giving a peck on his lips — Nothing in this world will make me give up on you.
Staring at her for a few seconds, Fernando smiled.
— You mean I can tell the whole world how much I love you?
— Well, it's not like nobody knows.
— But it wasn't me who said it, it was a bunch of nosy journalists. But, I think it’s time for me to say something and break the news on my own terms — he replied, taking his cell phone out of his pocket. Charlie almost immediately concluded what his plan was.
— Are you going to post a picture of us?
— Two, actually — the driver said, as he selected the images — If they want to know, they'll know.
— But — Charlie hesitated, looking at one of the photos — Do you need to post this one?
Fernando looked at her, one eyebrow raised.
— Don't you like this picture?
— I look terrible in it, Fer — she replied — Look at my hair, it's all messed up, I'm not wearing any makeup, and…
He chuckled, placing a hand on her face, his thumb lightly brushing her skin.
— You can be either way, I'll always find you beautiful — Fernando murmured — The most beautiful woman I've ever seen.
After searching a little more in the phone's gallery and finding a photo that showed the moment they were introduced to each other for the first time — with a Ron Dennis watching the moment attentively — the driver thought for long minutes before typing something in the telephone.
— “Two people never meet by chance” — Fernando said, looking at Charlie — What do you think?
— Are you talking about fate?
— Well, let's just say you made me believe in it.
She laughed.
— So it's my fault?
— Well, not only yours, but — the driver hesitated for a few seconds — There are only two ways to explain why we're together right now. One is careful planning and a crystal ball, which I believe is not the case. And the other is fate.
— So it was fate?
— Always has been, nena. You have always been my fate — Fernando said, before clicking the 'post' button.

tahanan - a love lost and found
inspired by nica del rosario’s song
---
Chapter 1: The Beginning
Andrea had always been different. A freshman at the University of the Philippines, she was the kind of girl who effortlessly commanded attention. It wasn’t just her beauty or her sharp intellect that set her apart, but the quiet confidence she carried from her past life in New York City. She was the daughter of a wealthy family, and despite her opulence, she had a passion for business and a hidden talent for music.
Jaehyun, on the other hand, was everything Andrea wasn’t. Known for his charm and playboy ways, he had no trouble catching the attention of anyone he wanted. But his world changed the moment he met Andrea. At first, he resisted the attraction, brushing off his friends' teasing. However, as fate would have it, they ended up not only in the same program but in the same classes. Over time, their academic rivalry turned into an unexpected friendship.
Andrea’s past in the entertainment industry was a well-kept secret on campus. Once a rising star, she had given it up to focus on her studies. But one evening, her passion for music led her to the university’s music room, where she met with her best friend, Luisa. As she played the piano and sang her song "Tahanan," a heartfelt piece she wrote years ago for a boy she once loved, Jaehyun happened to be passing by. The angelic voice caught his attention, but when he saw Luisa leaving the room, he mistakenly assumed she was the singer.
Jaehyun’s heart was instantly captivated by Luisa, unaware that the song belonged to Andrea, the girl who had loved him since childhood. When Jaehyun eventually confessed his feelings to Luisa, she pushed him away, knowing Andrea’s deep affection for him. "If you really love me, love my best friend instead," she told him. Jaehyun, taking her words to heart, courted Andrea, and they eventually became a couple, spending five blissful years together.
Chapter 2: Betrayal and Consequences
The years passed, and Andrea and Jaehyun’s relationship blossomed. They graduated with honors—Andrea as Summa Cum Laude and Jaehyun as Cum Laude—and embarked on successful careers, Jaehyun as the President and CEO of Jeong Design, and Andrea as the COO and Vice President of Son Corporation. Their love was strong, and soon after their engagement, they married in a beautiful ceremony.
But happiness is often fleeting. At their wedding, Jaehyun saw Luisa again, this time with a child. A secret conversation revealed the truth—Luisa's child was his. Despite the shock, Luisa insisted Jaehyun marry Andrea, not wanting to destroy their bond. And so, they did.
Andrea’s suspicion of Jaehyun grew when she became pregnant, and she followed him one day to a condo unit where she discovered the heartbreaking truth. Her husband, the man she loved, was sweetly caring for Luisa and the child. In that moment of despair, Andrea’s world crumbled. A sharp pain gripped her, and she collapsed, only to wake up in the hospital to the devastating news that she had lost her baby.
The tragedy marked the beginning of the end. Jaehyun and Andrea’s relationship deteriorated as Andrea sank into postpartum depression. The final blow came when Jaehyun announced that Luisa and her child would move into their home. Andrea’s objections led to a bitter argument, and Jaehyun’s threat to leave with Luisa broke her. Alone and suffering, Andrea’s health declined rapidly, forcing Jaehyun to return and care for her.
Despite everything, Andrea agreed to let Luisa stay, desperate to keep Jaehyun by her side. But the marriage became a hollow shell, with Jaehyun moving into another room and Andrea’s mental state deteriorating. For four years, they lived as strangers, Andrea still clinging to her love for Jaehyun while battling her depression.
Chapter 3: The Fall
Andrea’s insecurities grew as she changed herself, trying to recapture the Jaehyun’s love she once knew. But nothing could mend the wounds. Jaehyun, unaware of the depth of Andrea’s suffering, pushed for a divorce. After a particularly intense argument, Andrea’s anxiety spiraled out of control, leading to a terrifying breakdown. Her loyal nanny intervened, revealing to Jaehyun the extent of Andrea’s struggles.
With a heavy heart, Andrea signed the divorce papers and left the country to seek treatment. For two years, she focused on healing, both physically and emotionally, while Jaehyun moved on with his life, eventually becoming engaged to Luisa.
But fate had other plans. When Andrea returned, she found herself entangled in Jaehyun and Luisa’s lives once more. She had inherited an ancestral house and unknowingly hired Jaehyun as the engineer and Luisa as the architect. As the renovations progressed, old wounds reopened, and the truth about Luisa’s child came to light. A man interrupted their wedding, claiming to be the true father of Luisa’s child, a truth Andrea had uncovered through a secret DNA test.
Jaehyun’s world collapsed. Devastated by the betrayal, he called off the wedding and drowned his sorrows in alcohol. Meanwhile, Andrea released her song "Tahanan" to the public, revealing her identity as the mysterious singer-songwriter "Isabella." The world celebrated her music, but Jaehyun was haunted by the memories the song invoked.
Chapter 4: The Reconciliation
Jaehyun, overwhelmed by the realization of what he had lost, reached out to Andrea. They met at their old house, where he broke down, apologizing for everything he had done. Andrea, still nursing her wounds, forgave him but told him she needed more time to heal. Despite his plea to start over, she knew they needed space.
For a month, they spent time together as friends, rekindling the bond they once shared. But Andrea knew she needed to move on. As she prepared to leave for the US once again, Jaehyun was left to reflect on his mistakes and the love he had lost.
Epilogue: A New Beginning
Andrea stood at the airport, looking back one last time before boarding her flight. She had come full circle, stronger and more resilient than ever. Jaehyun, watching her leave, knew he would carry the weight of his actions forever. But he also knew that this was not the end—it was a chance for both of them to start anew, separately yet forever connected by the memories of the love they once shared.
As Andrea’s plane took off, she closed her eyes, her heart lighter than it had been in years. She was ready to embrace her future, knowing that the scars of the past had shaped her into the woman she had become—a woman who had found her ‘Tahanan’ in herself.

Fernando Alonso reveals sad news on love life with Andrea Schlager after Australian F1 Grand Prix
Formula One superstar Fernando Alonso gives fans some very sad news about his love life just hours after taking third place at the Australian Grand Prix Came third at Albert Park with Aston Martin Made love life announcement soon after Also had a cheeky dig at Red Bull By Josh Alston For Daily Mail Australia Published: 01:20 EDT, 3 April 2023 | Updated: 01:20 EDT, 3 April 2023 F1 driver Fernando Alonso delighted his fans by finishing third at the Australian Grand Prix - but followed it up by announcing that he and his long-term partner Andrea Schlager have split. Alonso shared the news on his Instagram story with a photo of himself and Schlager, along with a caption that read, 'We wanted to tell you that our relationship as a couple ended. 'We have been lucky enough to share a fantastic time together, and it will continue to be so, but on a different form of affection. 'As you have probably seen, we have continued working on and off track on various projects together also during this time, and we will keep doing so with deep love and respect for each other. 'We thought it is appropriate to share this as you have all been very supportive. Thanks for that. Love Fer & Andrea.' Alonso and Schlager during happier days before their breakup, which was announced just after the Australian Grand Prix on Sunday The couple also thanked their fans for their support and noted that they would continue to work together on various projects with love and respect for each other. Schlager, a sports commentator with a history in the F1 paddock, met the Spanish racing driver through her F1 commitments. Very little is known about their relationship, which has been kept out of the public eye for the most part. Alonso is a two-time F1 world champion, winning the campaign in both 2005 and 2006. He has had a collection of relationships, having been previously married to Raquel del Rosario and engaged to Lara Alvarez. Alonso has also previously been in relationships with Carolina Costa, Dasha Kapustina, and most recently, Linda Morselli. Despite his past relationships, Alonso does not have any children. In 2018, he mentioned that his dedication to the sport had left him with 'no friends, no family, no free time, no privacy, no wife and no kids.' Alonso had preferred to keep his love life out of the public spotlight, but decided to let his fans know that his relationship has ended Alonso celebrates coming third at the Australian Grand Prix with Aston Martin after a gripping battle with Lewis Hamilton - but the weekend wasn't all good news for the Spaniard During the Australian Grand Prix, Alonso finished in third place, spending the majority of the race attempting to hunt down Lewis Hamilton from Mercedes. A tangle with Carlos Sainz looked to have ended his race, but he was granted a reprieve when the FIA opted to red flag the race again. Alonso's performance in Australia was noteworthy because, for the first time in 2023, a car other than a Red Bull finished ahead of him, with Hamilton coming in second. Alonso used the opportunity to make a tongue-in-cheek joke at Sergio Perez's expense while assessing the pecking order of the top cars in Melbourne. Perez had joked in Bahrain about him, Max Verstappen, and Fernando Alonso 'all being Red Bull drivers' and that 'it was nice to see three Red Bull cars on the podium!' Alonso responded by saying, 'No more three Red Bulls on the podium, if Checo was here.' Explaining one of VTMB paintings (pt 9)
Cain Killing Abel oil on canvas (Second quarter of 17th century) by Pietro Novelli
Pietro Novelli (March 2, 1603 – August 27, 1647) was an Italian painter of the Baroque period, active mainly in Palermo. He was born in Monreale, and died in Palermo. He initially trained with his father, a painter and mosaicist. His father died in 1625 from the bubonic plague.[2]As a young apprentice he was a fellow pupil with Gerardo Asturino.[3] In 1618, he moved to Palermo and apprenticed with Vito Carrera (1555–1623). His first dated work is from 1626: St. Anthony Abbot for the church of Sant'Antonio Abate in Palermo. The development of his style owed much to Anthony van Dyck, who visited Sicily in 1624 and whose altarpiece, the Madonna of the Rosary in the oratory of Santa Maria del Rosario in Palermo was highly influential for local artists. He was also commissioned works and paintings for many churches in Piana degli Albanesi, and various works to adorn the villas of the Sicilian nobility. Other influences on Novelli were the Caravaggisti or tenebrists active in Naples (for example, Ribera). Novelli also painted for the church of Santa Zita in Monreale, and painted a Marriage of Cana for the refectory of the Benedictines in Monreale. He was injured during the revolution in Palermo in 1647, and died from his wounds.[4] His pupils included Andrea Carreca, Francesco Maggiotto, Francesco Giselli, Michele Blasco, Vincenzo Marchese, Giacomo lo Verde, and Macri da Girgenti. He was also an architect and stage set designer. [1]
The term Baroque probably ultimately derived from the Italian word barocco, which philosophers used during the Middle Ages to describe an obstacle in schematic logic. Subsequently the word came to denote any contorted idea or involuted process of thought. Another possible source is the Portuguese word barroco (Spanish barrueco), used to describe an irregular or imperfectly shaped pearl, and this usage still survives in the jeweler’s term baroque pearl. Baroque art and architecture refers to the visual arts and building design and construction produced during the era in the history of Western art that roughly coincides with the 17th century. The earliest manifestations, which occurred in Italy, date from the latter decades of the 16th century, while in some regions, notably Germany and colonial South America, certain culminating achievements of Baroque did not occur until the 18th century. The work that distinguishes the Baroque period is stylistically complex, even contradictory. In general, however, the desire to evoke emotional states by appealing to the senses, often in dramatic ways, underlies its manifestations. Some of the qualities most frequently associated with the Baroque are grandeur, sensuous richness, drama, vitality, movement, tension, emotional exuberance, and a tendency to blur distinctions between the various arts. [2]
Below is an explanation of the Cain and Able story from real life and in the context of VTM. This is the same for all the Explained Cain slaying Able paintings in VTMB posts I’ve done so feel free to skip if you’ve already read this as it’s long.
___________________________________________________________
The tale of Cain murdering his brother Able are nearly identical in Jewish, Christian and Islamic texts with the oldest known version coming from the Dead Sea Scroll from the first century BCE. Cain was the the first born son of Adam and Eve and became a Farmer while Able was the second born son and became a shepherd. Both brothers made sacrifices to God, but God favored Abel's sacrifice instead of Cain's. In Islam the reason for their offerings is to decide which brother would marry Adam and Even’s first daughter who was also Cain’s twin sister. Able also had a twin sister and Adam wanted the brothers to marry the others twin. In multiple religions each brother has a twin sister but there is no consistently with the names as Cain’s twin sister being named Aclima, Kalmana, Lusia, Cainan, Luluwa, or Awan, and Able’s twin sister is named Jumella, Balbira or to make it more confusing Aclima (though even when she is called this Able’s twin sister is never the one the brothers are competing to marry) depending on the source. In the Islamic text Able’s offers his fattest sheep while Cain offered only a bunch of grass and some worthless seeds. In Jewish and Christian texts the reason for the sacrifices and the exact nature of their offerings are merely described as the first born of Ables heard and products from Cain’s fields.[3] The most description we get is in Genesis when God sees that Cain is upset that his offering was not chosen God tells Cain “: Why are you angry? Why are you dejected? If you act rightly, you will be accepted; but if not, sin lies in wait at the door: its urge is for you, yet you can rule over it.”(Genesis 4:6-7) Cain then told Able to meet him in his fields where he then murdered his brother out of jealousy by hitting Abel in the head with a stone. When God asks Cain where his brother Cain, “I do not know! he answered. Am I my brother’s keeper?”(Genesis 4:9) to which God replies “What have you done! The voice of your brother’s blood is calling to me from the ground. From now on you’ll get nothing but curses from this ground; you’ll be driven from this ground that has opened its arms to receive the blood of your murdered brother. You’ll farm this ground, but it will no longer give you its best. You’ll be a homeless wanderer on Earth.” (Genesis 4:10-12) When Cain objects saying the punishment is to great and that whoever finds him wandering shall kill him which then God says “No. Anyone who kills Cain will pay for it seven times over.” God put a mark on Cain to protect him so that no one who met him would kill him.” (Genesis 4:15). Cain then leaves east of Eden to wander in No-Mans-Land with his wife (who is not named in Genesis but is assumed to be his Twin sister in all tellings regardless of what name is given to her). Their first born Child was named Enoch, and Cain named the first city he built after his son. After Abel’s Death Adam and Eve had a Third son named Seth and when eve gave birth to him Eve said “God has given me another child in place of Abel whom Cain killed.”(Genisis 4:25-26). In some texts Seths wife and sister is named Azura. Their son is named Enosh it is through Seth’s line that humanity stems from, though both Cain and Seth had multiple decedents and confusingly used the same names (see family tree below). None of Cain’s decedents suffered the curse of their father Cain but where still seen as sinful and apart from God and where killed in the great flood. How Cain died is not as an agreed upon topic. He was ether crushed to death by the stone house he built, an irony as he used a stone to slay his brother or in some versions part of the Mark of Cain had him grow horns and his descendent Lamech (not to be confused with Lamech who decedent from Seth and was the father of Noah) who was a blacksmith and had two wives(this is viewed as sinful) killed him mistaking him for a wild animal and killed his own son Tubal-cain in the process.
While in the lore of Vampire the Masquerade the tale of Cain killing his brother able as told in the Book of Nod stick to the original tale regarding the murder of Able but starts to differ in God’s punishment. "Father" cursed him with a mark, and cast him out to wander in darkness in the Land of Nod alone. There is no mention of a wife or if he was still cursed to be unable to farm however it is clear that Cain was not yet cursed to be a vampire by God. The Land of Nod was a place of utter darkness, with no source of light, where Caine was afraid and alone. There he found Lilith where they began a relationship and Cain realized that she possessed magical power and begged her to share them with him. While hesitant Lilith prepares an Awakening ceremony by cutting herself with a knife, bleeding into a bowl, and giving it to him so that he may drink. After Caine partakes of Lilith's blood, he is visited by three angels who are agents of God. Each angel offers Caine a chance to repent for the murder of Abel, but Caine rebuffed them out of pride. Michael, when denied, cursed Caine and his childer to fear his living flame. Raphael cursed Caine and his childer to fear the dawn, as the sun's rays would burn like fire. Uriel then cursed Caine and his childer to cling to Darkness, drink only blood, eat only ashes, and be frozen at the point of death, cursed so all they touch would crumble into nothing. A fourth angel, Gabriel, then appeared to offer the way of Golconda, the only way to "light", by the mercy of God. After the experience, Caine becomes officially "Awakened", possessing the following Disciplines: Celerity, Potence, Fortitude, Obfuscate, Dominate, Presence, Protean, Animalism, and Auspex. Caine then became aware of the Path of Blood, the Final Path from which all paths stem. And with all these powers, but now being cursed to be a vampire he breaks his bond with Lilith and leaves her.[3] While Cain never biologically fathers any children it is clear that their names of those he embraced and their decedents are inspired by the biblical names in his line though with massive changes. For instance the first city is founded by Cain in the land of Nod and and called Ubar and is explicitly stated to be settled by “Children of Seth with the human king being Enoch at the time Cain settles there. Enoch still becomes his son as he is embraced by Cain. Another example of the reuse of a biblical name of Cain’s line is Zillah (which in Hebrew means shade or protection). In the original story she is one of Lamech(decedent of Cain) two wives( the other named Adah). After both wives discover that Lamech unwittingly kills Tubal-Cain(one of Lamech and Zillah’s sons) they both refuse to have sex with him because of the deaths he caused, on the pretext that they do not desire to give birth to cursed offspring. The three go together to the tribunal of Adam; Adam rules that they must obey their husband since he killed unwittingly. This midrashic tradition portrays Adah and Zillah as respected women, whose position is considered in all seriousness by the court. [4] In VTM Zillah was a human woman who lived in Udar so beautiful, Caine could not resist the Embrace. According to Nosferatu Zillah is the one of Cain’s second generation who sired their Antediluvian. Interestingly, even after the Embrace, Zillah did not desire him. It frustrated Caine to the point that he was ripping his hair out of his head. He did anything and everything to make her desire him. Yet, she would not have him. Finally, Caine sought the Crone's magic, who ultimately tricked him into a blood bond, she forced the First Vampire to Embrace her. The Crone sent her new thrall away, telling him that his blood would have the power to bond others as Caine himself was bonded to the Crone. The discovery of the blood bond was what finally made Zillah agree to marry her sire Caine. [3]

VIDEO! DAGLI ABISSI EMERGE UN NUOVO MISTERO SU USTICA – MASSIMO GILETTI INFILA LA TELECAMERA NELLA STRAGE DEL DC-9 DELL’ITAVIA DECOLLATO DA BOLOGNA E INABISSATOSI NEL MARE DELL'ISOLA SICILIANA – IL GIORNALISTA, NELLO SPECIALE “USTICA, UNA BRECCIA NEL MURO”, IN ONDA STASERA SU RAI3 ALLE 21.20, MANDA IN ONDA LE IMMAGINI RIPRESE NEI FONDALI, DOVE SONO VISIBILI ALCUNI SOLCHI: UFFICIALMENTE I FRANCESI FURONO I PRIMI A RIPRENDERE I RESTI DELL’AEREO IN FONDO AL MARE. MA QUEI SEGNI SUL FONDALE APRONO ALL’IPOTESI CHE QUALCUNO SIA ARRIVATO IN SEGRETO, PRIMA DELLA MISSIONE UFFICIALE. CHI HA LASCIATO QUEI SOLCHI? CHI HA ANTICIPATO I FRANCESI? - VIDEO
“Critiche preventive”, risponde Giletti.
