Title: I know you’re not such a bad guy

Synopsis: Anderson is bored and makes Gehrman drunk to attempt to make him drop his mask. However, every time he finds a human corner in the facade of the pirate hunter, another secret that makes Gehrman seem even more terrifying comes out.

But Anderson is not discouraged! Strangely convinced that Gehrman is actually a good guy, the adventurer won’t give up until he succeeds!

Meanwhile, Danitz is traumatized.

LOTM GAME UPDATE!!!!

The lotm discord just released an update about the LOTM game. It seems like the developed have already done some beta testing under wraps and have decided to pivot a little with the story line and the locations of the game. The name of the game has changed from Code: Mysteries to Lord of the Mysteries Game. (Personally prefer the old name but it’s been copyrighted and everything so we are sticking to this new title.)

We will be starting in Tingen and then will take a train to Backlund (which is currently under development). They will be building the Hall Family’s Estate in Backlund so we will be able to see Audrey having her tea parties and Susie staring judgmentally at us in the background. They are planning to build the Giant King’s Court as well!

Your character will be able to fight. It is currently unknown how gory the game will be (censorship) but many readers on the chinese side have asked for the fights to be book levels of grotesque and action packed.

Release date and public beta testing dates still remain unconfirmed but we did get a long update after half a year of silence so I’m happy about that!! I’ve included the still that they posted on the discord and it looks amazing! I feel like they nailed the ambiance.

The Danitz and Anderson dissing contest never fails to make me smile.

And then there's Medici and his buddies always arguing but are literally stuck with each other.

Love Klein's lampoon when talking to Medici. He's like a mom pointing at a relative and saying, "Why can't you be like Medici, Danitz? He doesn't always say "dogshit" but he pisses people off." "See that Angel, Danitz? Even looking at him makes people want to punch him. But he can defend himself."

I feel like whenever I look up what Lord of the Mysteries characters look like, they are always a lot prettier than I imagined them. Although, to be fair I'm not very good at imagining stuff...

“An elf! She’s identical to the elves drawn in the ancient Church drawings!” Anderson suddenly became excited. “I have to negotiate with her to get her to be my model so that I can draw a few portraits of her!”

By the side, Danitz scoffed. He mocked in a succinct manner, “Boorish!”

Clearly, he hadn’t forgotten Anderson’s previous mockery.

"Let's head over there!" Edwina idles at the sight, watching Anderson perform ridiculous poses as he aims the dart, slinging it at the target. She's starting to wonder why she bothered to come when Anderson bounds back to her with a huge grin and a floating blue balloon. "Check out what I won!" He declares, proudly showing off his prize. "With only three darts too! Here, you can have it!" She blinks, hand stretching out hesitantly to take hold of the string, watching the balloon bob mid-air. “Why?” “Because it’s blue, just like your eyes!” Anderson chirps, and Edwina blinks back, before averting her gaze. "...Thank you." She says finally, and Anderson smiles even wider.

Chinese LOTM Fic Recs

I was asked about this, so here we go! (rubs hands together =D)

A few things to know:

I'll only separate by site (either AO3 or Lofter) and whether it's gen or has a ship. None of these recs have smut as far as I remember, as I rarely if ever read it.

I am not Chinese and know nothing about the Chinese language. I've read these fics through the browser translator. Likely there are errors in the translated English titles provided, please feel free to correct them.

For Lofter fics, I'm using the blog url (x in "x.lofter.com") as the writer's name, though idk if that's how it should be done.

Also for Lofter fics, I've linked the first chapter for multi-chapter stories. The rest can be found by going to the user's archive, or (with a bit more difficulty) by clicking on one of the tags at the bottom and going through that.

This leads to several things, but mainly the Tarot Club's utter confusion on the shape of the love polygon between Mr. Death, his many students, Mr. World and Mr. Star. (all ships present are mainly in the minds of the Tarot Club :p)

(*according to this post, "Shura Field" is a phrase used to refer to an intense struggle on a battlefield but also for shows where multiple characters are in love with the same person)

(pre-canon, warning for Canonical Character Death, slight hint of Azik/Klein but only as a student's crush) (this is the fic that shaped OG Klein for me, and made me fall in love with the pre-canon possibilities)

［海上组］冰山浮出一角 / [Sea Group] The tip of the iceberg emerges, by wangyouwushang86832: After the journey in Groselle's Travels, Gehrman loses his memory, only retaining the beginning of his time in Tingen. Danitz, Anderson and the rest of the Golden Dream get to see another side of the crazy adventurer. (incomplete, ongoing)
