I wish the pace was better in the donghua. It’s so disappointing because I think the animation is spectacular but it’s not very good at getting us attached to the characters. I understand that not everything in the novel will be included in the donghua and I’m okay with that, but they should have gotten rid of all the fights in the beginning and focused on building up the characters.

It would have been better if episode 1 focused only on Klein’s transmigration and how he was dealing with it. Episode 2 should have focused on his relationship with his siblings and how poverty affects them. It would have been great to hear them talk about the Grain Act repeal so we understood how it affected basically everything in the later parts of the story (it’s actually what I feel is one of the top 3 most important plot points about Volume 2 and the climax of the plot in Volume 5). Episode 3 should have focused on Klein the Tarot Club and built up Klein’s relationship with the Nighthawks. Episode 4 should focused on Klein getting a job at the divination club and the Trissy conspiracy. Then episode 5 could be the first fight with Ray Beiber and then we should have had a foreshadowing of 0-007.

I wish they made this season a 24 episode season or a 28 episode season like animations used to be. Somehow, even though the donghua is gory, it’s not scary. And LOTM needs that element of horror to shock you later on. And I’m confused how there’s a fight with a monster in every episode. The monster transformation is already strange but I’m willing to overlook that. The one thing I can’t stand is how much fighting there is but how little character development there is.

The ENG dub actually making me like the donghua more…dang. Kinda surprising, I like watching everything in its original language…but technically Loen is based on Victorian England so the original language is English??

I wish the accents were better tho or that they got actual British VAs. But Phainon’s VA being Kleins VA is so clutch for me. My fav x my fav is crazyyyy I love it so much

Watched Kpop demon hunters and it was so fun :D Songs great, animation great, and of course I had to draw these hot demon kpop boys X3 Ended up making two versions I liked a lot, so, here you go ^^

lotm donghua nailed the art direction, visuals, atmosphere, and sound design. amazing work by the staff. but ngl, I got a little confused felt like it was a bit too fast-paced lol

It’s so funny how Mingrui’s opinion of Roselle went from admiration towards another transmigrator to beefing. Mingrui is so exasperated with Roselle lmaooo. He spots chopsticks in a bar and conjures a mental image of Roselle to go “YOU. 🫵”
