The Danitz and Anderson dissing contest never fails to make me smile.
And then there's Medici and his buddies always arguing but are literally stuck with each other.
Love Klein's lampoon when talking to Medici. He's like a mom pointing at a relative and saying, "Why can't you be like Medici, Danitz? He doesn't always say "dogshit" but he pisses people off." "See that Angel, Danitz? Even looking at him makes people want to punch him. But he can defend himself."

Alysmond also reminds me of Henri II of France and his long-term mistress Diane de Poitiers... she was almost twenty years older than him. Their relationship began when Henri was a teenager and he loved and adored her until his death. And she helped and advised both him and sometimes his wife Caterina de Medici. From what I've read they aaaaalmost kind of had a throuple thing going on. Sometimes.

Yet another blorbo drops
This time drumroll
An Order heiress, because I thought it would be funny for Sanctus to depend on someone financially for his big bad evil plan oh no
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
To make her very much still in progress backstory simple, she's a childhood friend of Nero's and Kyrie's, she fell for Kyrie first and then bc her and Nero butted heads.. well. Shithead managed to catch feelings x2 electric boogalo.
Her family is kinda loaded on her dads side, because he is a descendant of one of the De Medici branches, big failboy that managed to snag Odessa (Dahlia's mom) and had Dahlia in Florence, before moving to Fortuna per Odessa's request as she was born there. Him and Sanctus are rat bastards and Federico (Dahlia dad) decided that he will indeed try to sneakily worm his way into the order (spoiler he was obnoxious about it) and try to take over as his last hurrah at having done literally anything in life.
Dahlia has to fight her parents in 4, aswell as she also makes a pact with a demon out of desperation. Her patron is demon Razikel, a Kar'niss bg3 looking ass, that asks her to be a vessel for him and to give her soul to him as pact terms, in exchange she gains knowledge and hybrid level stats.. and stronger magic. Why did she do it, I hear you ask, Nox why was she such a dumbass, well, it's because she is whipped for the KYYYYRIEEEE guy and Kyrie; she didn't want to feel useless and get Kyrie back, aswell as protecting Nero.
After the entire order shit goes down, Nero has to exterminate the spider but then all 3 realise oh shit, Dahlia nearly died fuck okay you know what, fuck it we a throuple now. So yeah, Nero and Kyrie have a goth gf witch, package deal babey, don't separate them.
Oh also snek familiar she summoned at a really low point in her life when she discovered witchcraft, that actually became her passion and genuine interest.

It would be more painful if Desmond heard it all and misunderstood what Ezio meant when he said “That’s my duty as your son.” and assumed Ezio meant that he’s trying to save his father, which he is, but Desmond doesn’t see that Ezio is also trying to avenge the injustice done to him and his family.
So Desmond had been staying outside of the room and when Benedicto went outside, he goes, “Wait for me at the gates… I still… I still have one last thing I need to do.”
And Desmond takes the Armor of Altaïr, donning it, before leaving Monteriggioni with Benedicto without talking to anyone.
Here are more wonderful ideas to make this more painful!
From @halfpintofanxiety
Well now theres gotta be angst with Desmond and Ezio, after all this Desmond in a maybe sorta throuple with maria and Aguilar and Ezio is like noooo my bestie pls…or maybe angst the other way around cause desmond still has no interest in becoming an assassin and Ezio is just grasping at any straws he can get his hands on for his “totally platonic” bestie from childhood
From @zero-saito
The Spanish brotherhood would leave someone behind to report back that the deed is done. Maybe agular and another and Desmond snuck over because it’s him. Agular, Maria and Desmond can act all couple like and affectionate but platonically cause then we can give Ezio a gay crisis. Also agular messing with ezio to get him to realise he gay for desmond. Desmond just being a badass and running from everyone trying to recruit him lol
From @witchofthecoffee
OH I LOVE THE UPDATE! Love the idea of Agular, Maria and Desmond. Also Desmond taking altair's armor is just a salt in the wound for Auditores.
.
Honestly, I like the idea that Ezio and Desmond would finally have their talk after Lorenzo’s death but… let’s make this much more dramatic, hehehe…
.
Aguilar is the one who was tasked with keeping an eye on the Medici because it’s easier to spy on the Medici than the Auditores. All they have to know is that an Assassin has to kill Lorenzo de’ Medici, after all. Whatever ‘schemes’ the Auditores make was none of their concerns.
And then… one night, Desmond and María joined him in his surveillance and Desmond’s left finger had been amputated and he now wore a hidden blade, showing how he had been initiated into the Spanish Brotherhood.
Aguilar had assumed that Desmond was there because he wanted to see how the Italian Brotherhood had been doing and if they’d done the task already but Desmond stares at him with a blank expression as he said…
“The mentor has deemed that the Italian Brotherhood was taking too much time.”
Aguilar’s eyes widened as he realized the implication of those words. He nodded gravely as he said, “Who will we execute from the Italian Brotherhood? Mario and Giovanni Auditore?”
“No. I talked to the mentor… All Auditores will be stripped of their ranks but will not be executed. Their deaths will only bring war between our Brotherhoods.” Desmond stated, “We will have La Volpe take over the Italian Brotherhood after all the Auditores have been stripped of their rank.”
“Understood.” Aguilar nodded, “Shall we make contact with La Volpe first then?”
“María knows where he is right now. Both of you stay here.” Desmond stepped to the edge of the roof as he stared at Palazzo Medici, “I’ll clean up the Auditores’ mess.”
.
There was finally a gap in the Medici’s defenses... For once.
Ever since Ezio returned to Firenze, it was like House Medici had formed an impenetrable wall around their head.
Ezio didn’t want to believe it but there was a high possibility that someone had given Lorenzo a warning of Ezio’s mission.
But… he didn’t think it would be his father.
His father would know what would be at stake if Lorenzo continued to live…
Unless…
No.
Ezio couldn’t even let himself think that.
He slipped inside Lorenzo’s private chambers, ignoring that small part of his mind that wanted him to question why Lorenzo was sleeping in a separate room from his wife when everyone knew they always slept together since they’ve been married.
He made his way to Lorenzo’s sleeping form, his footsteps so silent he could only hear his breathing.
… and not Lorenzo’s.
Ezio stood on the side of Lorenzo’s bed and…
Lorenzo de’ Medici was already dead.
Natural death?
No.
Ezio grabbed Lorenzo’s hand and…
On his left ring finger, there was a small wound.
A puncture wound the size of a needle.
Poison.
He’d been poisoned…
But who?
Ezio turned and walked towards the closed window.
He froze when he noticed…
A white feather had been left on the window sill.
No.
It was white with light brown tips that formed an A that Ezio now realized looked a lot like the Brotherhood’s insignia.
This…
This was the feather he had given Desmond when they were both young, back in Firenze when everything… everything had been…
Ezio gripped the feather tightly.
“Desmond…”
Another Desmond reborn as X, but this one is as Uberto Alberti's kid. Who we don't know anything about but "family" is the reason he betrayed his friend supposedly so I'd be interesting if Desmond could try and avoid it this time around.
According to the transcription of Uberto’s database in ACII:
Now, I found a backdoor into the Templars' database server, I've been combing it for some kind of smoking gun. I found it. Apparently, Uberto's family was evicted by the Medici bank. Uberto's been aching for revenge ever since, and the Templars promised him support. Ezio's father was standing in the way AND Uberto was jealous of his influence over the Florentine government. Two birds with one stone, isn't it? It looks like Uberto used his election to the Signoria as his opportunity to strike.
Apparently, he joined the Templars because the Medici evicted his family.
If he is part of the real House Alberti, there is no mentions of any evictions in wiki nor any mention of an Uberto. The Albertis were allies of the Medici as far as I read.
Returned to Florence, in the 15th century they were first allied to the Medici against the Albizzi. Main members of the period include writer Antonio Alberti, cardinal Alberto di Giovanni Alberti and architect and Renaissance theorist Leon Battista Alberti.
But wiki did say that they “divided into different lines, who owned several houses and towers near the modern Ponte alle Grazie” and “Some of them were admitted in the Venetian nobility late in the century” so maybe Uberto’s family wasn’t one of those few fortunate Albertis to gain nobility.
So, really…
Giovanni died and dragged his two sons with him because of his ties to the Medicis.
And Desmond would point that out.
In this setup, Desmond would probably think of Uberto as a good father as he did stress he did it for his family (although another setup is that Uberto is using the whole “I’m doing it for my family” to hide his greed and thirst for power but that would be a bit boring so we’ll go down the ‘a good man wishing to avenge his family’s misfortunes’ route instead).
So Desmond would want to protect his new family (especially if he has younger siblings). When they get evicted, Desmond understood why Uberto did what he did. Maybe add in the drama of the eviction being all of a sudden or not given any warning before they were evicted during a time when Firenze was having ‘money problems’.
Desmond knew that the Templars would contact Uberto then and tried to stop Uberto from saying yes to the Templars but he’d say that this was their only choice if they wish to protect their family.
(If you really wanna drive in a conundrum, one of Desmond’s siblings or his mother falls ill during this time and the financial support the Templars gave them is what kept them from dying or maybe said mother/sibling was already ill and almost died had it not been for the Templars’ money)
In the end, Desmond tries to leave the Auditores alone but, instead, Ezio found him and started to talk to him. Desmond couldn’t help but form a bond with Ezio anyway, maybe become a close friend who doesn’t really like to be seen with others.
Ezio knows Desmond spend most of his time caring for his ailing sibling/mother, and he remembers Petruccio so he has a soft spot for Desmond.
Anyway…
Uberto still becomes a Templar and Desmond tries to undermine him, first by trying to save the decoded message that Giovanni needed but that failed because Uberto knew that Desmond was trying to stop him so he’s become more ‘suspicious’. He never scolds Desmond though and he understands what his son is doing so he tells Desmond to continue to try and stop him…
“This way… no matter which sides wins, our family will be safe.”
And Desmond realized then and there that Uberto was ready to die if it meant their family would be safe and financially secured.
In the end…
Desmond helped Giovanni, Federico and Petruccio escape by unlocking their cage and telling them that Uberto’s a Templar. Desmond begs Giovanni to not kill Uberto, that he’ll be able to make Uberto understand that they have failed and they’ll leave Firenze, hell, they’ll leave all of Italia, just…
“Please… don’t kill padre.”
Giovanni promises not to kill Uberto if they leave Firenze as soon as possible.
And Desmond is able to persuade Uberto to do just that, telling him that revenge means nothing if it would lead to his death.
.
Now.
The happy ending would be that Desmond and Ezio would see each other and there will be this strain in their friendship because of Uberto’s betrayal that they will slowly get past.
But…
The more angst-filled route would be…
Lorenzo wants all the conspirators of the Pazzi conspiracy to be killed and Uberto was one of them. He orders Giovanni to kill Uberto and Giovanni tried to say no, at first, only to acquiesce once Lorenzo reminded him who he was ‘allies’ with.
Desmond finds an Assassin standing in front of his father’s bleeding corpse and the darkness and his shock made it hard for him to see the Assassin clearly.
All he knows…
… was that the Assassin was wearing Ezio’s robes…
.
.
In this setup, Desmond would be torn between wanting to take vengeance or being the person to cut the noose of revenge that keeps looping and looping around all of them.
His trust in the Auditores would be destroyed and Desmond would want to believe that it wasn’t Ezio, that maybe it was Giovanni or even Federico but a part of him would whisper that it could have been Ezio. Ezio wasn’t there when Desmond begged for his father’s life.
Last time he saw Ezio, he was wearing those robes…
And Desmond can’t…
… will not kill Ezio even if a part of him wished to avenge Uberto’s death.
They had no reason to kill him.
His family had exiled themselves away from Firenze, living as normal farmers of all things.
He…
He needed to know the truth.
And, once he knows it…
That’s when he’ll decide how to end this chain of vengeance.
With blood spilled… or not.
