I noticed Grian has been going in F5 more often in this newest series, but my silly brain has already thrown that into lore relevant so have another Grian drabble

If you weren't familiar with Grian, you might not notice it. If you hadn't known him for a while, you haven't been around him for a while, maybe you just never really cared about it.

It's important now.

In a way.

Grian was visibly growing more comfortable with his friends. Comfortable enough to let some of his carefully crafted mask slip. Sometimes you'd catch a weird purple glow in his eyes. Sometimes the blue feathers in his parrot-like wings looked purple. Sometimes his skin was just slightly too light, making him look sickly.

Now you'd often see a purple eye floating just behind Grian. It was weird, really. It was just slightly visible, like he had some sort of thing attached to him that only few people could see. You had to squint to really notice it was an eye.

People always saw the purple glow that formed. The way his eyes would go dim, the only thing left in them being a small purple circle around his pupil. It was like his eyes were unfocused, his entire face would drop to an expressionless mask. Then that glow would appear behind him. It was just enough to leave the back of his head purple. Just enough to leave a space in front of him purple. Just enough to paint him in a very purple light. It was never too bright. Just enough to be notable.

It was never there for long. Grian was always very meticulous when he did this... Thing. He was always making sure there weren't too many people around.

Now, however? Grian made this eye appear whenever he liked. He had gotten comfortable with these people, and now they were starting to see his true colors. Those purple hues that cast over him every once in a while.

JOKE-OGRAPHY: Following from the last cartoon, the notorious child, "The Boy," plays reporter and interviews laypeople about when they choose to sit or kneel during the time after Communion. When he interviews the young lady in this cartoon, she explains that she kneels and prays until the Eucharist (specifically the bread that's become the Body of Christ) is returned to the tabernacle (usually a shiny box that sits behind the altar under the big crucifix at the head of a Catholic church). A lot of the parishioners at my local churches follow this tradition, as if waiting for Jesus to be seated before seating themselves. However, this young lady has a slightly confused understanding of tradition, transubstantiation, and tracheotomies (though that last one isn't explored in this cartoon).
