the heck even happens in Rick and morty

Just gonna infodump on you cause you asked for it! Spoilers ahead! Infodump under the cut

So there is the Smith family, they are the main characters, you have Beth Smith, the alcoholic mother, Jerry Smith, the bumbling unemployed dad, Summer Smith, the badass sister, and of course Morty Smith, the 14-year-old anxiety-ridden poor boy, and the main character, Rick Sanchez, he's around 70 and is Morty's grandfather, and he has A LOT of issues. He's an alcoholic, definitely depressed, hates himself, and loves Morty more than he loves himself (Which isn't saying much since he hates himself, but still, he loves the kid a whole lot)

Ok, now we got them, I'll just quickfire everything that happens in season one, Rick has Morty shove megaseeds up his butt so they cam go through interdimensional customs with the megaseeds, and he almost gets kicked out due to pulling Mourt out of school, but the megaseeds dissolve just in time giving Morty temporary superintellgence, leading Beth and Jerry to believe that Morty spending time with Rick is making him smarter, when it's not, they leave and that opens to the first garage rant and brings up the iconic quote "100 years Rick and Morty!" Which will come back. Next Rick incepts Morty's math teacher to give Morty As in math, Scary Terry follows them, but they end up becoming his friend after Rick and Morty stop him from having a bad dream, and they get Morty's math teacher to get him an A. Next Morty goes inside a human body and tries to save anatomy park, a park inside of a human body, it breaks down at the end though soooo. Next up Rick gets trapped inside a simulation that aliens trapped him in so they can get his recipe for concetrated dark matter, the fuel for accelerated space travel. Nothing much of note, but we do get a cute protective Rick moment, when he finds out Morty was simulated, his first response was "You simulated my grandson's genitalia!? You diabolical sons of bitches!" He even tries to attack them, but is held back. Next up in a personal favorite of mine, Rick and Morty make a bet that Morty can have a simpe, fun adventure. It starts off rocky, and gets even rockier when we get to that infamous Mr. Jellybean scene, I assume I don't have to talk about it, you already know it probably. Thankfully, Rick is super sweet and understand, not only does he throw the bet so Morty will be happy, but he also kills Mr. Jellybean which has me CACKLING!

Next up is a plot important episode, Morty asks Rick for a love potion to make Jessica fall in love with him, for context Jessica is Morty's crush, Rick at first says no, but eventually relents, but since Jessica has the fuel, it spreads to the entire school, Rick comes to get Morty since he isn't affected by it, since the love potion doesn't work on any related to Morty gentically.A VERY tasteful choice in my opinion, Rick tries to fix it, but just makes a bad situation worse. Rick travels to another dimension where they died, Morty understandably freaks out, but then Rick explains the plan, they just slip into the places of their dead selves, and continue as if nothing happen. Morty is understandably traumatized from this experience, and then we move to the next episode.

Next up is a pretty meh episode, Morty gets an uhm robot, but it was actually a birthing machine, and because of this Morty gets a chld, he tries to be a good father, but fails since well, he's 14, and the baby was naturally very aggressive from the day he was born. There is a sideplot with Rick and Summer, but it's mostly just Rick being a sexist asshole

Next up is an episode I admittably really like, basically it just resolves around Rick and Morty watching interdimensional cable, and it's just nice to see them bonding, there is a pretty good side plot with the rest of their family seeing what their life could've been. Eventually Beth and Jerry divorce but get back together when they realized that they would've gotten back together in a nother dimeson. It's a very sweet scene

Next up Rick drives Summer to work and meets the devil, where his store sells cursed items, eventually he beats the devil by setting up a store that uncurses his items for cash, yeah, he's petty, and I love him. There's a side plot where Jerry goes to Pluto, but there's nothing of note there, we do however gets a sweet moment where Rick is happy to see Morty but hides it, he sees Morty and says while smiling "Hey!" then clears his throat, frowns and says "Hey." very slick Rick.

Next up is a really really good episode, its the first canon episode and it is amazing. We get to meet two iconic characters, Doofus Rick who is a precious cinnamon roll, and Evil Morty who is an evil boy. The council of Ricks think Rick is killing other Ricks, but Rick found out it was evil Morty, we also find out an important detail, Rick hangs around Morty because he uses his brainwaves as camoflague. And we also get a sweet moment where Rick cries from his memories of Morty as a baby

The last episode of season one is eh, it's not great, but it's not bad. We get to meet Rick's friends Squanchy and Birdperson but they don't do much, basically Rick just throws a house party when Beth and Jerry are out of town on their titanic themed getaway. We also get a sweet bonding moment between Rick, Summer, and Morty which is cute.

So that's season one, there are 6 more seasons, go watch it, it's great!

Strange #9 Review

(Yes, I know the last issue is tomorrow and I’m super late. I blame my adhd. You know, the thing with deadlines? It’s a me)

Anyway, there are a few details I want to point out in this issue and some fundamental bits that I’d like to delve into. So let’s start with this panel.

I find it hilarious but I can understand why some people are not happy about Clea’s portrayal. It’s true she has never been this feral before but *IMO* I think it’s valid for her to have this side because 1) she was raised by Umar and Dormammu. Her father was a simp, her mother, a narcissistic queen, and her uncle is freaking Dormammu. Besides, let’s assume one cycle in the Dark Dimension equals 1000 years on Earth. We don’t know Clea’s age but we do know she was born during their reign so I assume she has a few centuries there at least; 2) she was the leader of a rebel army. My girl is not one sweet damsel in distress at all. She fought a war and saw many of her friends die; and 3) she has Faltinian blood. I’m glad she redirect their need to conquer towards love, though. So, in conclusion... I pretend I do not see it.

Now let’s focus on this part because it’s always reassuring whenever a writer confirms what I’ve been talking about since forever ;-;

I usually tend to describe him as a healer, but doctor is also a good word once he knew that was his call since he was eleven.

And this is why I can’t accept whenever someone calls him self-centered (partially due to his MCU portrayal). Stephen is altruism incarnate. He’s very kind and doesn’t hesitate to sacrifice himself in order to save people’s lives (which is also shown later in the preview). This is not my personal instance, it’s literally all over this volume and so many other books.

And this panel pretty much sums up what I was trying to say about both Clea and Stephen.

We never managed to see Clea’s past and what it felt like to be raised in such a place. But we do know that she finally learned love through him, which is super unusual because love is most often associated with female characters, not the other way around. And this happened in the 60′s!

And noooow let’s appreciate Stephen’s sappiness because omv how I missed this. He’s been looking for someone to be this sappy with for ages ever since Clea left! It didn’t work with any of his flings because truth be told, he’s a hopeless romantic 🤧 Clea is lucky 💜 (and she blushes!!)

Now my favorite part because they’d be talking about Marc and Victor, it was such a bingo for me (for those who don’t know, they’re part of my top 5 characters tee-hee)

I love that they're trying to justify their faves here. Friendly reminder that Marc once stole Stephen’s powers in (ew) Age of Khonshu, so it’s kinda shocking for Stephen to hear that there’s kindness in Marc (but there is!!!). Meanwhile, Clea doesn’t really know Victor’s soft spot (yet) and they don’t usually see eye to eye, but Stephen is far more familiar with Victor and has seen kindness in him a few times (although yes, Victor isn’t one to give things freely. Listen, he’s complicated! *my Stephen side vouching for Victor is showing, I know...)

Moving on, I’m glad there’s an explanation for how Clea managed to become Earth’s Sorcerer Supreme without a new tournament. People be discussing this and tbh I was kinda tired. I just wait for things to be explained and look! Turns out it was.

Also I cry.

Moving on... Here I am once more, praising Jed for showing impeccable knowledge on Stephen’s lore. Director None reveals that he was in contact with the Trinity of Ashes and also working for them.

Back in Sorcerer Supreme, the magic deities were forcing Stephen to fight for them in the War of the Seven Spheres. He refused and lost part of hs power until he finally agreed to serve them. Except that the war lasted five thousand years. In order to preserve Stephen’s sanity, the Vishanti suppressed his memory of it (Sorcerer Supreme #48; #80).

Director None is using the revenants to spread chaos and pain in order to please the Trinity, but he’s also preparing a vessel for them. And this vessel is... well, THE Sentry.

Which is not only super dangerous but also painful for Stephen due to their history. Stephen once assisted Bob with a spell to make the world forget that he existed in order to eliminate the Void - Sentry’s “dark side" manifest (Sentry #4-5). Stephen also helped Bob with his mental health by locking him in his own mindscape (it was not ideal but it was the only way for Bob to feel safe without the Void’s influence). Stephen lied to Bob about the Void (it was somehow locked in the Sanctum?) and for that Bob ended their friendship (Doctor Strange #381-385).

It’s true that Bob died several times (last one was Knull’s doing, a very graphic and violent death, to put it mildly). But hm, it’s the Sentry. He always comes back. He’s like Marvel’s Superman, and that includes his strength. He beat Hulk in WWH. He’s that strong. So yeah, Clea and Stephen are really screwed =D

I’ve already read the preview pages for #10. I’m saving it all for tomorrow, though. I’m very much excited and it’s been a long journey. Can’t wait to see how Stephen will come back to life and how they’ll rekindle their marriage I’m not expecting spicy tomorrow but I won’t be denied in v6!! Did you hear me, Jed? I want my spicy!!

he writes on the back of his hands when he needs to remember something: an idea for a campaign, a deal he needs to make later, anything but homework assignments

doesn’t carry a backpack, either finishes his work at school or doesn’t do it at all, never takes work home with him

is incredibly smart, can do math all in his head (he’s a drug dealer ok he’s hella good at it), just doesn’t have that academic incline to be smart in school/struggles in that aspect because he doesn’t care about what he’s being taught

has several fantasy novels scattered around his room, in drawers, in stacks on the floor, with writing in the margins: ‘campaign? henderson would love this!’

his dad is in jail for criminal activity (some of which he taught eddie), his mother left him when he was still little and he hasn’t heard from her since—but who doesn’t care, fuck it, having shitty parents builds character right???

his uncle is the only father figure he really counts in his life (but he still has a touch of the mommy and daddy issues, doesn’t want to turn out like either of them)

would definitely become a mechanic after graduating, or some easy job he’d excel in. but would still try to make it big with his band, would never give up that dream

joseph said that when eddie finds out someone loves him he doesn’t know how to take it/kind of thinks he doesn’t deserve it etc, which makes sense with his family issues, but also means (in my head) that when he finds someone who he shares those equally intense ‘love’ feelings for he’s literally the biggest simp

i’m talking constant mixtapes, letting you touch his guitar (no one touches her!!), play with his hair, lends you his favorite book only because he wants to see your face light up from enjoying it (but is hella nervous you might dislike it), lends you his band shirts because he loves watching you walk around in them (and only them), let’s you play your pop music in the van (will fake grumble about it but loves to watch you dance and sing along, and oh wow are his fingers drumming to the beat?? is he singing along?? no no of course not…)

And that's all! I'd rate it a 6.5/10 because it's definitely the weakest of all the sequels but still had amazing animation and some good plot points. It's just really hard to look over the bad stuff enough to rate it any higher.

Yandere Kakashi Hatake Headcanons

These are my interpretations of his persona and none of these are 100% accurate. I don't condone any of these actions in real life and all of this is purely fictional.

Second Naruto ask, hell yeah. Kakashi was a character who a lot of people would simp over, except me because I decided that the redhead with parental issues and a long brown-haired man who ranted about fate and destiny was it. However, I see the appeal ngl so here we go with some basic headcanons on what Yandere I see him as. Overprotective, obsessive, manipulative, and possessive. 

A little bit of background so spoilers you can say. His dad abandoned the mission to save his comrades in the third ninja war (I think?) and it resulted in him being shunned and his honor was sullied. His father killed himself and it leads Kakashi to believe that the mission is a number one priority in the world. Well, Obito shows up and fucks all that up when Rin gets kidnapped and he wants to save her. He understands the true meaning of a comrade and suddenly, his friend died like -_-. 

Then he is forced to kill his best friend, the girl that his best friend loved, and his friend? Man can’t catch a break. Then his sensei dies as well? When he encounters Sasuke, it hurts a lot when he was threatened by Sasuke and he comments, “How about I kill anyone you’ve ever cared about.” Kakashi responding with “That’s impossible, they’re already dead.” Like that shit HURT. IT HURT A LOT MAN. This is why in the event that he ever does fancy anyone he would always look after them. 

Overprotective. This man lost all the people in his life that he has ever cared about, team 7 being his new admiration because they grew up with him and he was the parent that they didn’t have. If he ever had an S/O he would honestly love and cherish them to bits. They aren’t in a time of war anymore but anyone can die in a mission. Doesn’t matter if his S/O is a shinobi or a civilian, they are guaranteed protection 24/7 by yours truly. It could be keeping people off their back, dealing with anyone who has wronged them, small conversation to get any details, etc. 

Obsessive. He isn’t the extreme one in a sense where they need to know everything, but rather observant. He is quite observant in the sense that he stalks them on the lowkey. When his S/O is near, has his ‘book’ in his hand and pretends to read or is simply ‘on a walk’. It’s normal and no one would think twice,  but in reality he is doing it to see their life and make sure nothing happens. It’s the little things that really make it up, he would be in their home and looking around. The milk brand they own, the amount of the food in their fridge, etc. He totally seems the type to go into their home and bring groceries or clean up when they aren’t home. 

Possessive. He would be quite possessive. If he is close to them, he would joke with any other potential suitors with venom laced in his words when they approach them. If he wasn’t, he would indirectly find out and deal with them. Might Guy happen to want to take you out to eat? No the fuck he ain’t. Suddenly, Kakashi is proposing a new challenge to win. You’re paired up with some other shinobi for a mission, and suddenly Kakashi convinces Tsunade to put him in the team. He wants to be around his S/O all the time and he is one of the few members in the show who don’t show it as much. 

Manipulative. He would never guilt trip you because that’s beneath him, but like he would be the type to say dumb shit in a logical manner that makes you seem smarter. It’s Kakashi so saying something random for a joke wouldn’t be off putting or strange, it’s common. Common as when he says things that he has no proof to back it up but are 100% true. He would say things to his S/O, never revealing what happened but hinting at it. Would mention things that you can imply come from personal experience but you’ll never know unless you were a member of their team back then or close to him. I see him making his S/O think twice, that gut feeling they don’t know if they should trust it or not anymore so they go ask him, who directs the show behind his curtain. 

He is a dangerous yandere in terms of mental manipulation. He would never hurt his S/O willingly, placing them under a small genjutsu to calm down or pass out so that he can take them someplace safe. He always has their feelings and safety in mind, he doesn’t want a repeat of what has already happened to transpire again. He just can’t. He would take care of his S/O to such extremes, cleaning their home, buying food, etc. Some part of me headcanons that he wants to stay in his S/O’s life but also out of it. He wants to be with them, but he is afraid of getting too attached and them being ripped away from him. Once he conquers that fear, he would be a laid back man who wants a casual relationship while trying to keep the stalking, murders, intimidations, and any other non-causal relationship thing under the wraps.

Thoughts on, Invader Zim Quarterly: Holiday Special

WEEEE WISH YOU A MERRY JINGLY WE WISH YOU A MERRY JINGLY!

Ahhhhh It’s out! I’m so excited!

But I always get excited when it has my man Membrane and my man Eric Trueheart involved with the comics. 

Also santa..   Tbh, I was excited and nervous about this quarterly. 

Excited because it has Membrane santa backstory...

But I was nervous because that it means they might bring back the santa-blob monster from the Holiday special on the TV... and The Christmas special is one of my least favorite IZ episodes...   I mean... I rewatch it occasionally, and it’s fun, but I’m just kinda used to IZ having more BITE in it’s satire if you know what I mean? The Christmas Special in the IZ universe doesn’t really say anything about the capitalism of Christmas... it’s not like IZ hasn’t made fun of capitalism before. (that’s the whole show)  The Christmas Special in the show just kinda fell flat of my expectations of what an Invader Zim episode should be....

The only thing I respect the Holiday Special for, is that it goes down the “Santa isn’t real” route in a kid’s show and sticks to it. (there’s no “real santa” that shows up and “solves everything”) All of the “Santa’s Helpers” confused the Santa mythos with the Christianity Jesus mythos. (”waiting one day for his return”) Which makes sense, since IZ is like dystopian future Suburbia Hell. I just kinda like that there’s no “real santa” that interfered to “fix everything” and that Zim himself ended up CREATING Santa when he didn’t exist previously. Like I find that kinda cool...

Other then that, I just kinda wanted something else from the Hoilday special then what I got. (It taking priority over scrapped episodes like “the trail” and “Ten minutes to doom” and “mopiness of doom” does not help it’s case in being one of my C-tier episodes...) 

So maybe this quarterly will fill the void of what I wanted out of a Holiday special? Well, let’s see.

Ways to get Dana off-board immediately: Monster Santa is canon. 

I always never liked to view the special as canon for ways that it fell flat before.

And I had the excuse of saying that the snowman was an unreliable narrator and I could adapt it down the line in my fic as a different story. 

I just didn’t like the idea of Monster-horror-blob santa...  Like... Cool design... but he just kinda represents everything I disliked about the special...  (including the major inconsistency of when Tak’s ship got fixed...)

But then again.. I need to remember IZ’s lore isn’t as consistent as I think it is sometimes... 

Okay, fine. Monster blob santa real... what else you got for me, Holiday special?

Also this being the THIRD ETF reference in a quarterly, It can be very safe to say the Quarterly issues take place after the events of ETF.

Clembrane exists in the Quarterly, Membrane has robot arms, Zim remembers this (kinda)  Yeah this is definately ETF verse and it’s here to stay.

He feels lonely and empty about it...  which tracks considering how Zim’s greatest fear in the Trial was to be deleted and never be remembered by anyone.

Like even if they were dead, if his parents founded Membrane labs, I feel they’d still be the face. of the company... (that’s how a lot of corporate faces are these days... they show some old dead guy who made the company as opposed to the son who inherited the Company.... Like everyone knows who Walt Disney/Mickey Mouse is, but unless you pay close attention to that kinda thing, not everyone knows who the current chairman or CEO is in the modern age....)

I just find that a bit odd. 

Anyways... I feel people can still do what they want with Membrane’s parents and get away with it. I’m not changing my “his parents were farmers” headcanon. Sorry comic..

I did find the stuff about Membrane’s parents a little weird... like I said regarding how Membrane’s face is the brand of Membrane labs...

Could be true that they were other scientists and that Membrane founded Membrane labs later... but that seems highly unlikely... 

Also... Why does the house look that hug when in the christmas special, it looked kinda like...well... just not that, and kinda more humble from the interior and not some big rocket lab...

So yeah... AMAZING character building for Membrane (which I eat up)

Anyways... The Quarterly was GREAT! 

I kinda find it funny the Zim story is the weaker one of the two again... But I honestly blame the Christmas Horror blob connection and the Christmas Carol parody. 

Or maybe my Membrane Bias is clouding my mind here.  I do have Zim bias but sometimes Zim can frustrate me. There’s just so many times Zim can do and say the same things you know? Zim is my baby, but sometimes his denial and annoyance with everyone can be very predictable at points. Zim was just way more fun in the last quarterly than this one. 

With Membrane it’s more of a blank slate what to do with him cause he ony started really mattering as a character since ETF. Yes, I do love show Membrane, but I admit he wasn’t exactly a character then. More of a presence and excuse for why Dib had access to lab equipment. With Dib’s Dilemma and this Hoilday special, the Quarterly folks seem determined to turn him into a fully realized character with the rest of the cast and I’m extremely excited to hear that!

 this AU spawned because i was thinking... in all the “touya doesn’t become dabi” dabihawks AUs, they always seem to fall in love pretty easily, but i think that dabi’s bitterness towards the system that spawned his father might actually cause some significant interpersonal conflict.

and then i fell face-first into a fully-fledged AU. uh... oops? i don’t have a solid plot yet, but i do have a few floating points around. genuinely considering hopping over to the pantser side of the pantser-plotter spectrum, because i have 0 snippets but so many bullet points to show for it.

spoilers for how i think this AU is going to pan out under the cut:

touya and keigo start dating first as their civilian personas, gradually building trust with each other, but when keigo opens up completely about how he feels about hero society and the status quo, cue the very fucking messy breakup + terrible communication lmao

this takes place a few years before canon, so the league of villains as we know it isn’t actually set up yet, but the HPSC sets up keigo to infiltrate this proto-LOV in a way similar to canon

as for touya, what i’m going to have happen to set him off in a completely different direction from canon is that enji actually ends up killing shouto during training and gets arrested. the fallout of his rage takes out a big chunk of the house, and it’s assumed that touya died as well, bones incinerated in a last-ditch attempt to use his terrible, volatile quirk to save his younger brother. that’s not what actually happened (which is a huge source of guilt for touya) but the reason why i chose to do this is because i needed something to force touya to realize that shouto was a victim and his father’s attention wasn’t something he should have been striving for.

i have a lot of thoughts on canon dabi, but one thing that needs to be different about touya here is that he takes moral responsibility for what he does. canon dabi, put bluntly, thinks of himself as an extension of endeavour; he thinks of himself more like a karmic monster whose actions are really his father’s and not his own. this is why he acts the way he does. and that’s why i decided to veer hard left like this in the setup for this AU; because it’s one hell of a wake-up call to see your father murder the little brother you were so jealous of.

i also needed touya to be plausibly dead, because otherwise i would have zero faith that the HPSC wouldn’t be watching him like a hawk. he needs to disappear, or he won’t be able to be a vigilante.

touya and hawks’ breakup is centered around hawks’ spy status coming out and touya flipping his shit over how the HPSC is so blatantly puppeteering hawks into really bad situations, except they’re both hot messes with issues, so it’s less of a productive conversation and more keigo feeling betrayed by how touya is reacting to his ideals and touya being frustrated because he feels like he’s looking at himself all those years ago, desperate to prove himself to someone who will only bring him to ruin. except neither of them can actually communicate that, so! breakup! the one person keigo thought he could trust turns out to be ideologically incompatible, and touya can’t get it through keigo’s thick skull that Hey, The HPSC Is Highkey Fucked Up

the endgame will basically be that keigo throws himself into simping for the HPSC with his spy mission, but it starts going downhill. he ends up implicating himself to society, but the commission tells him to keep going. they tell him it would be a waste to back out now. they keep pushing him to go further and deeper, but then keigo finally discovers the plans that they’ve been keeping.

it’ll be some kind of attack - on UA, a crowded shopping mall, maybe something to do with the noumus, doesn’t matter. the crux of it will be that keigo calls it in, expects them to finally respond to the huge number of civilian casualties, but... they don’t.

their take on it is that they've been given a unique opportunity to apprehend the league once and for all. they're willing to trade civilian lives in exchange for stopping the league and reasserting the power of heroes to always apprehend the villains.

keigo hangs up, slowly.

and it hits him. he is powerless. he's utterly alone. he's in the middle of the beast's den and he can't do anything to tie it down so that it doesn't kill anyone.

and then he remembers the one person who knows everything. someone with connections, or at least firepower.

and that’s about all i have for the plot outline! it’s very swiss-cheese, i know. i also don’t have a particularly strong attachment to the ship, but i do have a strong attachment to the character development arcs, so.... yeah

so... there’s this bad ending with one of characters, it’s jumin. he’s a rich ceo, and a lot...of people associate his bad ending as being good, kinky, a christian grey kind of thing. AND LIKE ANYONE WHO KNOWS ME FROM THAT FANDOM . .. knows how gross and manipulative it actually is. 

you are basically tearing apart his mentality, which is already pretty fragile as it is?? due to stress, constantly shoving his emotions away ( using alcohol as a coping mechanism as well ), his damn cat ran away, the one thing he got from the woman he pOSSIBLY LOVED/had a crush on and she supposedly died one day. that, and his father’s trying to push him into a marriage with a woman he has no information on except her first name, and the fact he’s falling in love for you/mc. 

basically what happens to get this bad ending is you choose options to make him obsessive over you, to not want to leave his side, thus making him miss work, be rude to his assistant, to basically even his best friend for over 20 years. and in the end?? he puts a tracking device in your shoes so he knows where you are at all times, you’re not allowed to be without him, and this anxiety is also due to the fact that there was a bomb in the apartment you were staying at, and a hacker who was possibly going to hurt you. 

now, everyone fetishizes this behavior and i just...find it extremely gross and obviously unhealthy. it’s a bad ending for a reason, but of course you have simps who are practically saying “oh, i prefer this sO MUCH MORE OVER HIS ACTUAL GOOD OR NORMAL ENDING. ZADDY CAN FU C K M E UP.” and yES, i’m getting salty, but it’s gross. it genuinely is, because it also puts his character into a bad perspective as well, and people either tend to love jumin or hate him - that’s just how this fandom is with just about all its characters. there’s very rarely anyone who’s tolerable or okay with some characters, a big reason to why i detached these muses from their roster. 

ANYWAYS, he’s clearly showing signs of obsession, mental abuse and even you yourself are doing the same to him with your manipulative behavior. it’s not a good relationship, it’s unhealthy, it’s abusive. it’s gross. so recently, one of the characters fINALLY got his after ending which i’m assuming is basically a dlc of its own, kind of like how jihyun’s was. aLONG WITH THIS, came  with “ life in the mansion” - bad jumin &&. after. this is the only?? BAD ending too, by the way, where you end up with him because you either make him dislike you so much he wants nothing to do with you oR?? you wind up dead somehow bc i think mc dies two ways in some of his bad endings. the only one i particularly recall was when you become scared of him and you jump out of his home ( which he lives in a multi-story penthouse, you did not make it ). 

so, the creators are clearly condoning this kind of behavior and it makes me...so upset and disappointed because again, they are a charity group who fight for these sort of problems. also, i’m sure it’s likely due to the fanbase because they did this when it came to jihyun and saeran’s route. they pressured the creators to make one, and when things needed to be delayed, they demanded it faster, and when the product wasn’t good when it came to jihyun’s ending?? people threw a fit. so, i’m sure they’re not entirely to blame, but it’s still a big problem to even allow a bad side of the fandom’s desires be fed into.

ooc: welp i went ahead and spoiled AoC for myself, under the cut are spoilers you have been warned

im super disappointed in nintendo for making everyone live. the game would have been so powerful to have the true ending that leads straight into botw. but they just love their split timelines don’t they. not every game has to end happily at risk of spoiling spider man: miles morales that game has a very bitter sweet ending with death involved, and no one is complaining. i just don’t get why they had to ahead and ruin a timeline they already firmly set up. like the game was described as being a view into what happened before the 100 years, but its not that if you go and change the whole damn story.

like ngl if botw 2 takes place after aoc i’ll be kind of disappointed, like aoc erases everything from botw

like all the heartache and shit is erased in aoc, and it takes away everything that link and zelda fought for in botw in order for it to not happen, which is fine, but at the same time like calling forth the “new” champions from the future to fight alongside you isn’t an answer to the problem. it just creates a huge paradox

so from here on out are basically my thoughts to watching the cut scenes

its just bad writing, not to mention straight up stealing the fact that zelda and impa can understand the egg from droids and their “masters” from star wars, the egg is her music box... and plays her lullaby. like stop forcing the egg on us please

it is weird seeing link without the slate on his armor, there’s a place for it, but its like not there.

i know its hyrule warriors and you gotta have more than two people going but like impa being there at the spring of courage... like love her all you want but nah fam this aint it also it steals story elements away from link, i know the boy is selectively mute BUT JESUS give him something please

also its like link being the hero means nothing in terms of the slate and the towers, and then the shrines. its like all of it is meaningless in this game, which like revali says what’s the point of link then

purah being there when zelda breaks down and its not just link... like the whole story of botw is like fucked, and zelda has time travel tears now

like all the things that happened in botw that built the characters is erased, like everything is a group effort which like is disappointing. i love how the new champions come BUT at the same time it defeats the point of the champions ballad, and the solo battles that link has to face.

alot of the story telling elements are repeated like more obviously than in botw which is saying something

all that the new champions are seeing is for nothing... like they will go back with these memories and it will suck cause they know the current state will have been changed and so what they see will be burdens they carried alone and for nothing for their future people

link’s sacrifice is for nothing, so thanks for diminishing that for me AOC. like him fending off the four blights unlocks zelda’s power but like seriously what is the point of him in this game, he is literally useless, like he straight up disappears. and her power isn’t unlocked via her love, but seeing link fight, and then thinking of the loss of her father

her father isn’t dead but was transported to the temple of time cause of a relic zelda and her mom found. THE PLOT ARMOR, its a shield its literal plot armor oh my god. which lead to her power awakening having no real meaning

link gets flustered easily. revali revels in the fact that link will be the fallen knight and his reputation what little he has will be ruined, it is also well known that link is in fact a nobody meaning his family is not noble born, but that does not mean his family, read his father, on this blog is a nobody.

The story is very much zelda’s which it should be, but like every moment that could have been link’s was taken by another character because of how hyrule warrior’s opperates. like if you want to play as zelda this is your game

im just disappointed, it erases everything from botw quite literally. it gives the new champions memories that they bare alone because zelda and link wont be there in 100 years to help them with it...

link was useless in the game. like you could literally write him out and have the same game, having the master sword literally does fucking nothing because of how OP zelda is. like its called legend of zelda and rightfully so but Link becomes a literal footnote. purah and others takes his place in all the important scenes that were his before.

and like i said if BOTW2 takes place after this its gonna be disappointing and not as dark as nintendo is intending IMO, they should have let this game end the way it does in the lead up to BOTW, it would have been so much more rewarding in my opinion yes you “technically lose” but you would still get some awesome final moments with zelda, and it would hype you up for BOTW.

there were parts i liked obviously, but there were major issues, and this is JUST STORY BASED, im not even talking game play.

CHARACTERS THE MUN RELATE TO/COMFORT CHARACTERS:

(I made this because I’m a raging idiot who just wanted to talk about this)

1. Nate Heywood: I’ve always had a love for history. It’s just something I’ve always found interesting. I fundamentally relate to Nate on a deep level with things such as the anxiety and the strained relationship with my parents.

2. Ash Williams: I just enjoy him. A lot. Is he perfect God no, he’s a dick. But he’s just someone I always smile at whenever I’m watching anything from the Evil Dead franchise. 

3. John Constantine: Today on issues with self doubt and self hate and always blaming yourself for everything 

4. Scott Lang: You see, I’m sad and I needed a father figure to look up to, so I decided to stan unproblematic dad Scott Lang. Now he’s the only thing I enjoy about the MCU.

5. Clark Kent: Has been my top comfort character since I was 6. I got my name from somewhere. I look up to him, admire him, have done so since I was a kid. He’s like my idol if we’re being honest, lmao.

6. Abby Arcane: I too would simp for Swamp Man. But seriously, she’s just someone I see and I go “yeah, me too.” An emotional support character.

7. Ralph Dibny: I’m heartbroken over the shit happening over at the CW, because I do love the character of Ralph Dibny, and kinda relate to him. I’ve been a shit head in the past, and said and did some awful shit. I see Ralph’s growth and development and I relate to it, because I’ve changed from my asshole past, and seeing someone else go through that journey makes me happy, and feel a bit better.

8. Artemis Fowl: The books got me through a lot of shit when I was a kid, and when I read them again now I just feel a sense of warmth and joy.
