I like how people in the notes & comments are like “yeah who doesn’t like a person who listens to them” or “ he probably does this with other people LMAO you’re not special” yeah that’s not the fucking point! This is about men who are so simple & self-absorbed, they automatically assume their date/crush is genuinely interested in them (esp. romantically) because they didn’t interrupt or leave after minute 3 of him talking about himself . These guys don’t want or care for conversation, they’ll never ask how your day was or discuss actual topics. They only find themselves interesting & so long as you sit still and listen for however, they’ll think you do too & get so comfortable they let their true selves shine right through & it’s only the second date.

his spot on the bed, one he rightfully deserved in his mind, was occupied by your collection of the stuffed animals that he had gotten you over the years. winning them in arcades for you, buying you them as you walked through the mall, anniversary gifts, he never knew they all would come back to haunt him so soon.

one especially rough day, where he came back from an exhausting patrol and just wanted to lay with you, only for you to tell him he couldn't because your bears were laid there? that was his last reason.

so, he 'accidentally' used his quirk on a couple, charing their fur.

he miscalculated slightly though, because at the sight of your tears and expression as you held up your ruined bears, the first solution he thought up and immediately promised to you was..

to buy you more.

so as he laid in your bed, you finally hugging him by your side, though surrounded by your collection of sanrio's and miscellaneous animals that fit the theme of your room, he decided to bear with the things just because they made you happy.

but you couldn't stop him from squishing them violently once in a while.

his rage throughout this chapter was so quiet, it was definitely a slow build up of rage til the end. for him to have this as a last resort for sukuna, in trying to make him feel sympathy even if he knew it wasn't gonna work felt desperate to me. but that's kind of the beauty in it too, like after everything, the chaos and the deaths of all he loved. ofc he was gonna be desperate and at least he tried. i dont think it was useless. he made sure sukuna heard everything and i think this chapter was a nice one.

“Grandmother is visiting,” Damian suddenly said with no warning and with his usual not-quite demanding tone. 

“Who?” Tim wasn’t the only one to startle, seeing as Bruce had practically froze, a downturn to his lips in a silent show of confusion. 

Damian scowled. “Are you deaf Drake? Grandmother is coming to Gotham to, quote, make sure I am being properly cared for.” None of them had known that Ras was with anyone actually. At least Tim was pretty sure that would have been in the files. 

“Oh?” Dick didn’t quite crouch to Damian’s height but it was a near thing. “She-” “He,” Damian corrected, interrupting him. They all exchanged a glance before Dick continued. 

“Is he coming to the Manor or…” 

Damian scoffed again, a tiny bit of a flush against his face. “No, Grandmother will most likely be staying with Akhi-”
