The way I had to rewind "my fiance Nordvpn" twice, once to make sure I heard correctly (I had), and twice to yell at this man "Why Would You Say That"

its so fucked up how they grow a bunch of guys in a lab and don't let them go outside or interact with the world until it's time to stick them behind the wheel of a car and make them experience right turn lanes and merging into a different lane for the first time ever. someone should really do something about this.

I hope this tragedy opens people's eyes.
we know that, every year, rain will come and flood at least a handful of cities around the state. we know that, if it rains a lot in the countryside, all that water will funnel down to Lake Guaíba. we know that people living in the islands near Porto Alegre are going to be affected even if it's mild. hell, it hasn't even been a full year since the last time Eldorado was flooded.
the climate crisis is going turbo on everyone's ass but still, we know it. we have slang to call someone an idiot that translates to "1941's flood dumbass" because, you know, it's been happening for a long time.
it's 2024 and people still don't bother paying attention to who it is they give their votes to. you know, the people who can invest in preventive actions and make sure everyone's safe. it's like we forget that we are entrusting our own wellbeing and that of others to people who will say what we want to hear, whatever that is.
we can't see the future, but we can prepare, and read, and ask, and argue, and vote. no, not all politicians are the same. no, not all of them have good intentions. it's our job as citizens to see through the bullshit and hold them accountable - and I hope the biggest flood since 1941 makes people look at things differently. and for the love of all the gods, get your head out of your ass and stop with the canceling out your vote thing.
nas próximas eleições, sentem o dedo nessa merda, gurizada

I'm reading a book that has a lot of potential and all the ingredients are there for it to be a thing I will love and it is instead annoying me and I'm tempted to give up on it but also tempted to finish it to see if I'm being annoyed about it for the right reasons.

i am deeply saddened to inform you that it continues to happen
i did not want to wash the dishes and i did not want to pack my lunch, but i wanted them to be done, so i did them
...and it took FIFTEEN MEASLY MINUTES INCLUDING THE POTS AND THE CUTTING BOARD
it feels like it should take SO MUCH LONGER given how much i dread them what do you MEAN they're done and i don't have to fret about it and my space is clean and the cheese isn't slowly drying onto the grater and my lunch is tucked in the fridge ready to slide into my bag tomorrow morning

Interview with Ishikawa Satoshi (Music Critic)
Published in the hide BIBLE (by Akemi Oshima) 2008
Q1: When did you meet hide for the first time?
Q2: Please tell us what kind of impression you had at the time.
A: Uwah, I can’t even remember. Maybe in the dressing room after the Kyoto Sports Valley performance, but… Anyhow, the association afterwards was too tight, so time just flew by.
Q3: Please tell us of an episode with hide that left an impression on you. Q4: What kind of person was hide to you?
A: He was a man who put everything he thought was “interesting” into practice, and so I was able to realize a series of “different” conversations with Imai Hisashi, Fuji Maki, Otsuki Kenji and Oyamada Keigo. At the same time, he enthusiastically recommended promising “unknown newcomers” such as The Mad Capsule Markets or Zeppet Store, and I think we had a relationship of wonderful complicity. In the early days of LEMONed, the two of us would string together many a cunning scheme. As we consumed large quantities of alcohol, we would also get into fist fights with each other (distant laughter), but to me, he was a delightful and irreplaceable companion. Publicly and in private.
Q5: If you ever saw him live, please tell us of your impression.
A: Only the “Eternal Rock Boy” could do it, that tender-hearted live.
Q6: Out of hide’s songs, which is your favorite and why?
A: I deliberately give you the famous “HIDE’s Room” from X’s lives. Because that toy box filled with anything and everything is the root where everything of this guy came from.

Do you ever read a BRILLIANT story and then for some stupid reason, your phone decides to refresh the page and you scroll down in despair to find the post but the page won't show posts far enough so now that great story is lost in the meaders of the internet until someone else finds it hot enough to reblog it or until you forget about it?

something that drives me insane on a relatively regular basis as a body jewelry understander is talking to people who have sensitive skin who are like "oh well I just can't wear any earrings without my ears getting inflamed" and I say "well what have you tried" and they say "well I've tried sterling silver and I've tried gold..." and it's like. ok. I don't know how gold and sterling somehow got spun by the jewelry industry as being especially good for sensitive skin but whenever I'm like "well have you tried implant grade titanium" they're always like "no....... but I've tried sterling silver... and it didn't work ..." like. I don't know how this narrative about sterling silver somehow got so strong but when they put pins in your fucking legs when you snap your leg in half are those pins made of sterling silver or are they made of implant grade titanium or surgical steel????????? HELLO. HI. YOU MIGHT BENEFIT FROM TRYING IMPLANT GRADE TITANIUM I AM JUST SAYING
