Alas, no cool Waster colonist. It's probably for the best, our colony is growing too fast from all the babies anyway.

Speaking of growing, Dire Wolf has reached double digits!!! Hooray! She's acquired the "cat person" trait from growing up around Salvatore, Cecil, and our new phoenix owlcat, Cannibal (I swear that name was randomly generated).

Vasso and Euclid have been working away on some wholesome, family-friendly research to amuse themselves while we prepare for the next leg of our journey towards the starship.

Finally, we received a distress call from a man named Vance who wishes to join us. What do we think, everybody?
Thank you for your votes, and enjoy your day!

Hello darling 😘
Here to ask you a few questions from the Writer (& Artist) Ask Game: 18, 24, 25 & 26.
Looking forward to reading you ❤️
Ah thank you so much for this lovely ask @cleverblackcat . I actually had to think about some of these, which was the point of the exercise of course! Hoping to see yours soon too! 18: Describe the setting of one or more of your wips Oh gosh.. *eyes twitches as I look at my WIP folder* .. For TWC I'm currently working on chapter 2 for "To break the Unbreakable" The setting for this is Catherine/Kitty struggling with her feelings for Mason when they explictely agreed they would keep it purely casual. Then there's Chapter 7 in Gwen's playthrough write-along (which, tbh, is now already 2 books behind and will probably never end). Currently the setting for this is pretty much still the beginning of Book 1 TWC *laughs somewhat nervously*.. so yeah.. The rest is under the cut ^^
24: Do you have/want a career in your medium? If not, what do you do/want to do instead? Ah, that ship has well and truly sailed. It's definitely a hobby for me, both the writing and my dabbling in digital art on the side. I really want to learn to work with software like CSP and PS, but I don't have the patience and dedication it takes to become an artist. Out of the two, writing has always been my first love, ever since I first started scribbling my little make-believe stories in my notebooks at age 9. 25: What’s your favourite genre to write? Is it also your favourite genre to read?
Fiction, with my favourites being Fantasy in any shape or form, although high-fantasy/medieval fantasy and Urban fantasy are at the top. Gothic/Horror next and SF/Crime after that. Although tbh I enjoy pretty much any well written (fictional) story. Anything that helps me escape reality for a bit. And yes, both for writing and reading.
26: What are your favourite books?
This pretty much changes with the latest book I read, there are so many amazing ficton authors out there. I love epic stories, seeing that there's more than 1 book instantly gives me a sense that a world is worth investing in, that I won't get invested in characters who will just be gone in 400 or so pages. So for that reason:
Robert Jordan's Wheel of Time. The first fandom I ever got heavily involved in and my first foray into fan-fic writing.
The Earthsea trilogy by Ursula le Guin
Black Jewels series by Anne Bishop
Any of Robin Hobb's books
A song of Ice and Fire (GoT) . Read this before it became popular and always loved the characters and the world (George R. Martin)
Kingkiller Chronicles (Patrick Rothfuss)
Malazan Book of the Fallen (Steven Erikson)
Any of Terry Pratchett's books.. I mean.. c'me on.
The Chronicles of Thomas Covenant/Mordant's need by Stephen Donaldson It's honestly painful to pick and choose, I also have great admiration for Brandon Sanderson, Neil Gaiman, Joe Abercrombie, Jack Vance, Stephen King, Tanith Lee ... the list goes on and on. Thank you for letting me think about this, it really was a great exercise. Tagging @cleverblackcat @serenpedac @glitchthemimic and anyone else that would be so kind to indulge me. Would love to see your responses to these! Please tag me!

The Reaper and the Death Angel Part 54
This hasn't been updated in more than a month and I'm sorry but my life got rough and I had to take a break. Be warned going into this chapter, it's rough and is too important to the plot to be skipped. Stong content warnings for torture and death (it's Clay so it's not like it's sad)
Series Masterlist
Part 53
Contains: Violence, torture, major character death, family drama, Gemma being Gemma, discussion of adoption and drug addiction, angst, fluff.
6k words
Comment if you want to be tagged/removed or follow #the reaper and the death angel.
The end is here

"Clay is going to have to tell all of this to Gemma himself, don't do his dirty work for him."
Jax rubbed his face, "he'll try and twist her up."
You nodded, "then make him do it in front of everyone at chapel. He can't twist words when everyone is watching."
Jax huffed, "that'll go over well, she's going to spiral again."
You sighed, "well then Nero can deal with it. I'm done babying her Jax, she almost killed our child and we've let her back in, if she makes this out to be my fault or pulls anything, she is done. It's going to take a lot for her to be even allowed near our niece or nephew, if this goes bad I'm pretty sure Ima won't even let her in the door and I'm inclined to agree."
Jax rubbed his face, "yeah, I know. I'll talk to her afterwards and tell her where she stands, this can't become another thing she uses to push her bullshit."
You flopped into the chair, resting your elbows on the table, "we have a few hours before everything goes to shit. I'm going to go to work for a while, then I have my second last meeting with Vance and then I'll come to the Clubhouse."
Jax leaned closed and kissed you, "text me when you're on your way and I'll start church, just walk in with all your evidence and start talking."
You nodded, "will do, I'll see you this afternoon."
Jax smiled softly and pressed his lips to yours, "yeah darlin, see you this afternoon."
****
The day wore on you fast, when Vance's call came, you were well and truly ready for it. "Hey,"
he grunted, "no usual chipper, things must be bad, in that case, I'll be quick. Call me when Clay is dead, after that all you need to do is ensure a smooth transition, we'll talk once more for a debrief and your status will go back to former operative."
You relaxed a little, "that's it?" You could hear him typing at the other end, "yep, I look forward to your call."
****
"I'm on my way."
Jax smiled at his phone, it was show time. "Everyone chapel now, I've got a lead on the who might have hired to Nomads."
He and Opie shared a knowing look vengeance wouldn't be far away. They all piled in, Clay seemingly none the wiser about what was about to happen as he sat at the other end of the table and Jax sat stoically as everyone settled in.
"What do you know?"
Sam's face was like a mask, Jax moving to clasp his hands together, "I'm waiting on someone, they'll be here soon, until then we need to talk about this transition, I spoke to Galen last night, he's ready for the change."
Clay swallowed, "are you sure about that son? He didn't seen ready to me the last time we spoke."
Jax smiled, "y/n helped him see reason, she's very good like that." For a single second, he saw fear pass on Clay's face. Jax must have been right because your signature knock at the door had him give a barely perceptible jump.
"Hello gentlemen, I'm here with good news and bad news, what do you want to hear first?" Your eyes were locked on Clay's, something told them this was going to turn into a blood bath if he didn't step lightly.
"First things first, Rat, please go get Gemma, she needs to be here for this."
Rat looked at Jax, who gave him a nod, "go on prospect, do what My old lady told you to do."
He scurried off, "thank you, Rat." You started pulling items out of your bag and laying them on the table, "my proof, every last bit of it." Gemma came in the door, her eyes suspicious, and you turned to her with a soft smile, "you are here as a kindness Gem, if for one moment I think this is going to become and issue for you, you will be ask to leave."
You turned to Clay, "this is your last chance to come clean about everything, I had your house bugged and I didn't kill the Nomads on sight, they spend some time in my basement and you know what happens down there, don't you Mr Morrow? I'll be here, making sure you stay honest." Clay was as pale as death itself.
"I was lying in that hospital bed, thinking about all the shit I lost, I wasn't ready to let it go. I reached out to Franky Diamonds, he was the one that suggested the home invasions figured we could rattle some of the folks close to the Club and make it look like Jax couldn't protect his own. Franky pulled in Gogo and Greg and I promised to split my percentages when I got the Gavel back."
They could see the lies, Jax clenched his jaw and shifted, trying to dispel some of his anger, "and getting them to shoot Sam, hit y/n while Ima and Abel were there, going after Gemma?"
Clay inhaled sharply, "I told you your house was bugged and the Nomads talked, does your soon to be ex wife know that you're the reason she can't be alone with her grandchild anymore and why it's very likely she'll never get to spend any time with Sam's child."
Gemma's eyes went wide, "yes Gemma, your ex husband sent his goons after a pregnant woman. Your empire of sticks is falling fast, your place in what rises out of that is your choice."
She swallowed, "I'll do whatever I need to do, he's already dead."
You smiled, "I'm glad to hear that. You need to go and tell Nero what's just happened, he needs help setting up for Diosa's grand opening anyway."
She left without casting another glance at Clay, "you have much to answer for, I promised you if you ever hurt her again, I'd break your hand, and I'm going to make good on that promise. How you die is Opie's choice, what happens before that is mine."
Clay turned nasty, his mask falling, "you've got it all figured out don't you. I did this because I knew Jax wasn't ready to lead and that's clear now, he's rolled over and let you take the gravel, must be some pussy because you've got him lock down tight."
Jax shot up, his eye filled with hatred, Sam followed, putting a hand on his shoulder and leaning in, "let her handle it man."
You smiled and walked over to him, "how many times do I need to teach you this lesson old man? I am better than you, I am more intelligent than you and you can't do anything to change that. You think I'm running this Club? Every man in this room owes me his life and freedom ten times over, you on the other hand, owe me so much more than that, no you owe me a pound of your flesh and I'm going to collect it no matter what anyone else says."
The room had gone cold, like any life had been sucked out of it, "I'll leave you to your vote."
You went walked out with one last death glare at Clay, but Jax sat down, his eyes fixed on the other man, "stay, you're right, we all owe you our lives and freedom tens times over. You're the reason we're all here and know the truth, you should see this through."
Clay deflated at your smirk, "thank you my love."
You pulled up a chair and sat next to Jax. Jax's voice was harsh, "get the fuck out." Clay left with his tail between his legs, "all in favour of Clay Morrow losing his patch?"
Yea, all around, "as for the Mayhem, let's hear pros and cons."
Sam's hand went up first, "he tried to kill me and he went after my pregnant old lady."
Chibs was next, "he's a traitor. I don't buy this all for the good of the Club bullshit, he's done."
Opie didn't miss his chance, "he went after Abel and Gemma."
Happy voice filled the room, as cold and hard as a wall of ice, "he was going to hurt my mum and aunt."
Jax swallowed, "all in favour of Clay Morrow meeting meet Mayhem."
Not a single person said nay, "I'll go get him."
Bobby hopped up and returned with Clay, whose head was hung, "the Club has made its decision, you'll be meeting Mr Mayhem but not before you lose your patch."
Clay swallowed as you looked on in victory, "get to it Mr Morrow, the sooner that leather comes off your back, the sooner fun can start."
He smiled a nasty smile, "your time will come, don't worry. Sooner or later, they'll all see you for what you really are."
You stood up, your fast action preventing Jax from responding, "and what is that? A liar and a traitor like you? A meddling bitch? I'm not the one that almost got a three year old boy killed."
The air was tight, "you think Jax will stay around, the moment he realises you're more of a man than him, you'll be out on your ass and he'll take up with some easy whore. My guess is it will be Sam's bitch because you clearly raised a…." You launched yourself at him, Clay flinching violently.
Jax grabbed you, using all his strength to hold you back, "darlin, he's not worth it."
You struggled in Jax's arms, "I just want two minutes, two minutes to beat him with my bare hands and then Opie can have him all to himself."
Jax squeezed you harder, "is that really your pound of flesh, come on, cool down and have your fun later."
Clay chuckled as you calmed down, "maybe I was wrong, bitches like you do like men who toss you around." There was a moment of calm before the sound block Jax's Gavel fell on so many times was lobbed at Clay's face, and you were ripping yourself from Jax's grasp and running at Clay.
Clay's cowardice betrayed him as he shrunk away from you, it meant nothing as a well placed blow to his throat has him sucking in air. He was already bleeding from the wood striking his head and the lack of air was making his face red, Jax managed to grab you again before you could climb on top of him. He dragged you back to his seat at the table, kicking and struggling, "calm the fuck down."
The look you were giving Clay would have frozen hell, "I'm not fucking done Teller."
Jax took a deep breath, "for now, you are."
His hands around your upper arms tightened until you relented, "fine." You turned to Opie, "you better figure out how you want him to die because by the time I'm done with him, he'll already be halfway there."
Your eyes never left Clay as you walked out of the chapel. Jax sat back down, Gavel in hand, the sound block back in its place, having been retrieved by Kozik, "we finish this tonight."
The bang of the gavel sealed Clay's fate.
****
You waited in the office with Gemma while the other watched over Clay in the garage, "are you good?"
Gemma did meet your eye, "I'm fine, Nero knows what's going on. Where does this leave us y/n?"
You sighed, "put in the work, stay off the shit and keep your head on straight and I'll do my best to make sure you have a place in the family. Ima and Sam will come around if you show you can keep up what you've been doing since the crash."
"You mean that?"
You nodded, "I don't say what I don't mean, Abel needs as much love and support he can get so does Jax. You being apart of that is your choice." There was something there that you didn't want to name and it had you worried, you always knew Gemma would have a problem losing her crown.
"How magnanimous of you."
You huffed, "don't Gemma, you almost killed my child and I'm doing my best to make sure you stay in Abel's life, if you want to take this up with Jackson you're more than welcome but he's going to be much less understanding than me. Don't push your luck."
"Maybe I will take it up with Jax, see what he says about how you're keeping me from my grandbaby, because let's be honest y/n, after what you pulled with the letters and the cartel, I can't trust anything you say and I think you're behind all of this, whispering in Jax's ear."
You smiled, "good luck but you might want to be careful Gem, you're a few missed steps away from never seeing your son again and I won't let you keep hurting him or Abel so don't fucking test me. Your ex husband is going to die for what he did, don't make me add you to that carnage. You forget yourself too easily, Jax is not the man he was five years ago and with everything you've done, I don't think he'd miss you if you keep this shit up."
"Are you threatening me?"
You shook your head, "if I wanted to threaten you, you'd know it. Keep yourself in line or I will do it for you. This line might sound familiar to you, if you ever put my child in harm's way again, I will kill you myself."
She stepped back, a smile on her face, "there's the old lady my son needs, I'm not the only one who needs to be careful, men don't stick around when their woman isn't soft and vulnerable."
****
As night fell, Gemma left and everyone else filled the garage, Happy readying his tattoo machine. Jax was standing there stone-faced as Clay removed his kutte and kneeled on the ground, cutting his top off as the needles started up. You started pacing, the energy thick in the air.
"Hey y/n, what's the bloodiest thing you've ever done."
Of course Sam's nasty side made its appearance right now, "I skinned a man once, that was pretty bad, he lived for ages too. There was the guy I blood eagled, he didn't make it to Valhalla. In fact, he screamed like a dying animal. Why do you ask dear brother?"
"I'm just wondering what you're going to do with Clay."
You smiled, "oh, I'm going to break his hand first and then I'll go from there. Opie, how are you going to send him off? I don't want to interfere with your plans."
Opie lifted a gas can, "ooo, fire. I like it. I set someone on fire once, I'll lend you my shampoo, you'll never get the smell of burnt flesh out of your hair. Bonus is that the CIA already have everything sorted so it doesn't matter how the body looks."
"That's enough, you're freaking him out and he's bleeding more."
Happy was being half-hearted but you stopped nonetheless. "Sorry Hap." It didn't take long for Happy to black out the tattoos, considering he was ripping Clay's skin to shreds. When the machine was down, you walked over to the table and picked up a hammer, "time for my pound of flesh."
Clay genuinely looked scared, "I make good on my threats, you know that, so if you put you hand out on the table, I'll do this one thing and leave the rest to Opie."
Happy's eyes wrinkled, "what?" He sounded upset and unfulfilled.
"I have a child at home and a wedding to plan, I'm done with this shit. As much as I want to slice him open and bathe in his blood, it won't bring me anything other than fleeting satisfaction and then I will never think of him again. It's also not my place, I'm not a member and this is Club business. Now put your fucking hand on the table or I'm going to cut it off."
Clay swallowed and lifted his hand, placing it on the work table as you walked up to him, clenching the hammer. The hit came hard and fast, Clay grunting as his bones cracked. You took a deep breath, "I truly don't have a taste for this anymore, you've not worth the fucking energy it would cost me to keep going." You waved your hand, "he's all your Ope."
You took a seat on a bench next to where Jax was standing, "you wanna watch this?"
You nodded, "yep, just because I'm not in the middle of it doesn't mean I don't want to see this through."
Jax huffed, "this is it you know, after tonight the Club is legit, we have one more run and then we're one."
You smiled, "I know, you did very well beloved."
He shook his head "nah, this was all you darlin." A grunt from Clay caused you to break eye contact from Jax, Opie was breaking his other hand one finger at a time, "how long do you think this is going to go on for?"
You shrugged, "hard to say, Ope never really struck me as someone who could stomach this but rage does things to people, I'll step in if I think he's drifting into something he's going to regret."
To Clay's credit, he was taking it well. You have never seen Opie so quiet and so impassive, "I saw you and Gemma in the office before, what was that about?"
You sighed, "she's going to talk to you, be nice to her Jax, she's going through a lot." Jax stiffened, you couldn't tell if it was because Opie was cutting off Clay's Marine tattoo or because you wouldn't elaborate on what Gemma had said.
"You wanna tell me why she's going to talk to me?"
You sighed, "she thinks I have an angle was wanted her to spend time with Abel, since everything came out a few months ago she's been suspicious of all my intentions, I understand it but she's lost everything she's ever known and now she thinks I'm replacing her. You won't be able to get sense out of her, she just needs time. I did threaten to kill her if she hurt Abel again and I don't regret it and I'm not saying sorry, I meant it."
Jax huffed, "fuck her needing time, if she doesn't grow up she's going to end up alone."
You went to respond but Clay was starting to get loud, "can you shut him up? I'm trying to have a conversation over here."
Opie blinked, "should I cut out his tongue?"
You shook your head, "he can still scream, just gag him."
Opie shoved something in his mouth then his thumb was moving to Clay's eye, Jax looked at you as if to ask you to stop it but you shook your head, "give him a bit more time, he's got to exorcise his anger so he can move on."
Jax nodded, "how's Ima doing?"
You shrugged, "she's very worried about the baby, I've done my best to calm her down but one asshole told her that stress does XYZ and now it's all she thinks about."
Jax smiled, "Sam's the same, they're going to make great parents."
You nodded, "I know, that kid is going to live a good life."
Something in the room changed and you looked over at Ope again, and then tapped Jax before you spoke, "you're done man, he's done."
Opie's chest was heaving, Clay was a mess. His bones were broken, his skin cut, he was missing an eye and a part of his arm when the Marine Corp tattoo used to be, "yeah, you're right y/n, he's not worth the effort." He swallowed, "get him outside and get him on his bike." It was done with very little care, Clay was lifted up by Happy and Kozik as Tig opened the door and brought his bike to the middle of the compound.
They threw Clay into the seat and Opie walked over to him, Clay too broken to make eye contact as Opie dumped the flammable liquid all over his skin, "this won't be fun, Jackson."
Jax huffed, "neither was seeing our kid in the hospital." You almost turned away when Opie lit the match and threw on at Clay's chest.
The fire caught immediately, Clay's body beginning to burn as he screamed, lacking the energy to run. Some of the Sons started to walk away, leaving only a handful of people behind as Clay screamed one last time then went still, "I'm going to put him out before the smell brings cops, someone needs to set some tires on fire just in case."
"Will do darlin, you need to call people?"
You nodded, "yep, it will all be dealt with. How are you feeling?"
He shrugged, "it's over and the man that murdered my father is dead, what's there to feel."
You smiled sadly, "spoken like a true soldier, don't shed too much of your humanity Jackson, that's how you end up like him."
****
"How long will you be?"
Vance sighed, "we'll have a team out of there to debrief Hale and stage the scene, everyone should clear out and just leave it to us, we want to give you deniability if people start to ask questions, I"ve already informed all out friends about the new development so you should be getting calls soon. Do you need anything else?"
"Yeah, I might need to tell Abel's bio mum what's going on, I have a feeling my future mother in law is going to be a problem."
Vance huffed, "that's fine, just tell us when and we'll send people down. To what degree to you think Gemma will be an issue?"
You were careful, "I have no idea right now, she's going off the deep end. She's going to talk to Jax soon, if all goes well we won't have any more issues but I want to make sure she doesn't try and twist anyone up."
"That's understandable. How's the wedding planning going?"
You sighed, "slow but it's getting there, we haven't even started the invites yet so don't worry, we haven't left you out."
He chuckled, "maybe just send me some photos, you should leave this life behind you y/n, we all want you to be happy."
You smiled sadly to yourself, "you're right but I can do that, there are lots of people who are just getting albums."
"Wonderful. Well, if we don't talk soon I'll look forward to seeing your photo."
You relaxed a little, "great, thank you."
"No y/n, all thanks goes to you, you've done your country proud."
****
They were all waiting in the Clubhouse for word from you, Jax standing up as you walked in, "where's Ope?"
Jax pointed towards to dorm, "in the shower, what do you need from us?"
You yawned, "everyone needs to go home. Hale is going to respond to a call about putrid smoke, he's going to come in here and find the body and then it will be made to look like an accident. You should show up to work tomorrow and act shocked at the mess and then be sad that Clay is dead, then it's back to business as usual. As for me, I'm going home."
Everyone left slowly, you and Jax heading home as the last man left, "we need to sleep, then we have some things to talk about over breakfast."
Jax looked worried, "it's about Gemma, I think she's going to cause problems and we need to get ahead of them. I'm sorry my love."
He sighed, "I trust you, we'll do whatever you think is best."
"You might not think that when you hear what I have to say."
****
You awoke curled into Jax's side, his arm draped over you protectively, "good morning beloved, did you sleep well?"
Jax rubbed his eyes, "morning darlin, what do you think?"
You chuckled, "I'll take that as a no, I'm going to text Wendy and ask if she wants to take Abel out for pancakes so we can all talk about what's going on, I'm sure she'll say yes."
Jax smiled, "that would be nice, you ready to head downstairs?"
You nuzzled closer into his side, "leave it for another half an hour, let's not ruin this peace just yet."
**
Wendy was there forty five minutes after you texted her, showing up at the door with a huge smile on her face, "how long do I have with him?"
You smiled, "all day if you like. I also need you to cave out a few hours one day this week, we have some really important things we need to talk about."
Her face fell, "don't worry, it's nothing bad. Have fun today."
She smiled, "can I go get him?"
You waved your hand, "he's in the library ready to go."
Abel came out of the library hand in hand with Wendy, giving you and Jax a hug before leaving for the day. Sam and Jax were fussing in the kitchen while you and Ima set the table, "how are you feeling?"
She smiled, "better now that this is over, you?"
You shrugged, "waiting for the other shoe to drop. I'm hoping to get ahead of it today."
She sighed, "it never fucking ends."
She stopped and put a hand over her face, "morning sickness?"
She nodded, "yeah, the doc gave me some shit, I'm gonna go take it."
You took the forks from her, "go, I'll finish here." She ran off and you fixed the table then went and helped in the kitchen. It didn't take long for the food to be done then everyone was sitting around the table, "you feeling better?"
Ima nodded, "a bit, I think a small meal will help."
Sam put some toast on her plate, "you want anything else babe?"
She shook her head, "you sure? I'll cook whatever you want."
Ima smiled, "no sweets, I'm alright."
You smiled, "God that's cute."
Sam huffed, "you are so mean to me."
Your eyes went wide, "how am I being mean?"
He shook his head, "I am not cute."
Ima leaned in and stroked his cheek, "yeah, you are."
Everyone calmed down and Jax took a deep breath, "you wanted to talk about something?"
You nodded, "I think we need to tell Abel about Wendy. I've already gotten clearance to tell her about the CIA op but I think we need to ge out ahead of anything before Gemma tries to use it to get back at us somehow."
Jax shook his head, "he's too young."
You sighed, "no he's not. Three is the age where it's recommended, I know you want to wait, so do I but we can't, not with Gemma."
Jax rubbed his face, "she's right man, if you don't get out in front of this she will go out of her way to make y/n look like a bad mother and a threat to Abel's safety." Ima had been less than charitable since the crash, but you agreed with her.
"You're both right, can your guys talk to ger today?"
You nodded, "we can do both if you want, the nasty stuff and then the fun stuff. I'll call her now so she has time to plan what she's going to say."
Jax sighed, "after breakfast and I'll do it, she was my wife, it's my place."
You smiled, "that's alright with me, I'll call Vance and let him know. Has Gemma spoken to you yet?"
He nodded, "I got a text from her, I haven't looked at it."
"Alright, we'll have breakfast and then make some calls and go from there then we need to plan out how we're going to deal with Gemma."
**
You came back out into the dining room after your conversation with Vance, "they'll be here at three when Wendy drops Able off, does she want Abel to know today?"
Jax nodded, "yep, she already knows what she's going to say, she's very happy."
You smiled, "this is going to go well, Abel is a good kid he'll handle it well."
"You're optimistic."
You smirked, "it's easy to be when you have the power I do."
Jax shook his head, "you should run for president."
You laughed, "I don't think they'd let us anywhere near the Whitehouse my love and while I have great hair and I'm a good liar, my bloodlust doesn't equal that of a world leader."
Jax chuckled, "yeah, but it would be funny to see you hit some GOP dick across the face."
**
Your nerves grew as three drew closer, just before Wendy returned with Abel, Director Vance showed up at your door, "I wasn't expecting you."
He shrugged, "I thought I should help, it's the least I could do after everything you've done in the last few months."
He sat down in the loungeroom and everyone waited for Wendy and Abel to get back. They were ten minutes late, Wendy arriving carrying Abel, "he's had a very busy day."
You smiled as Jax took him from her arms, "please come in, we have a lot to talk about. Abel has some more time to sleep."
She looked worried, "don't worry, it's not that bad."
She sat down on one of the chairs and you took a deep breath, "I think it's time you know the truth. This is Director Leon Vance, I wasn't a civilian consultant overseas, from eighteen to twenty eight, I was a CIA operative. Since the guys went inside, I've been back at my old job. The Club is out of guns and Clay is dead and I'm done with any espionage shit. He's just here to make sure everything goes over well, you can ask questions of you want."
"What did you do over there?"
You took a deep breath, "I didn't lie about that, most of what I did was identify dead bodies but I also ensured certain interest through the elimination of threats and political agitators."
Her eyes went wide, "how many people?"
Vance spoke first, "more than twenty, less than fifty, I'm sorry but there's only so much Dr y/n is allowed to tell you."
She looked scared, "I' not telling you this to threaten you, I would never do that. Gemma has become a problem and we need to get ahead of it, I didn't want her tell you anything that could put you at risk."
Her face fell, "so you telling Abel about me, that's not what you want to do?"
You waved your hand, "oh no, we want to tell him, we just hoped we would have more time to make it a nicer experience."
"Dr y/n is telling the truth, how do you think you got that job as close to the lab, she wrote you a recommendation and told them not to say anything to you."
She smiled, "you did?"
You nodded, "yep, a child can never have too much love Wendy."
Vance smiled, "do you need me anymore?"
You shook your head, "nah, thank you Leon."
He put his hand on your shoulder, "it's fine. Jackson, Ms Case, I'll leave you to your night."
He left and you took a deep breath, "I'll go get Abel, I'll give you some time alone."
Jax was unsure what to say once you were gone, "thank you for this Jackson."
Jax blinked, "you're not going to fuck with us?"
Wendy shook her head, "no, it's honestly kinda comforting that y/n what she is, I mean, nothing's ever going to hurt Abel with her around."
Jax snorted, "you've got that right, she's made it clear to everyone that anyone who hurts Abel won't last long."
The inference was clear, "I promise I won't do anything to hurt him, I would never ruin this opportunity and if you think I'll try and take Abel away I'd never do that."
Jax relaxed, "good, because you have no idea how much y/n has done for Abel."
Wendy waved her hand, "I know that and I would never try to replace her, I'm just happy you let me be a part of his life."
You rounded the corner with Abel soon after, taking another deep breath before sitting him next to you. You smiled and gathered your thoughts before you spoke, "you remember when you asked me how Daddy and Wendy knew each other and we told you that Daddy and Wendy were married before Daddy and I met?"
Abel nodded, "well, that's not everything. So you know how Sam in your uncle because he's my brother but so is Happy and he's isn't Daddy's brother?"
He nodded, "ok, and you know how we told you that you're going to have a cousin soon and the baby is growing inside Ima's belly?"
He smiled, "yes mummy, I can't wait."
You giggled, "ok, well I have something to tell you and I want you to listen really hard and you can ask any questions you want."
"Yes mummy."
You looked at Jax who gave you a soft smile, "you didn't grow inside me, you grew inside Wendy because when the universe decided you should exist, Daddy and Wendy were still married. But Miss Wendy was very sick and couldn't look after you so she went away to get better and a few months later, me and Daddy decided we wanted to be together and then I went to some people and asked them if I could be your mummy too. Do you understand?"
Abel seemed consumed, turning to his father, "did you and Miss Wendy love each other like you and mummy do?"
Wendy spoke first, "no sweetie, your daddy and I didn't love each other like your daddy loves your mummy, and that's ok because we got you out of it."
This was going better than you thought, "so I have two mummys?"
You saw Wendy's eyes get wet, "yes Abel, you have two mummys."
There was a stillness before Abel spoke again, "ok, can I have some ice cream, please?"
You breathed a sigh of relief, "sure, how about you and Miss Wendy go and get it?"
He hopped up and reached his hand out to grab hers, "I'll show you where it is."
When they were out of the room, Jax finally relaxed, "that went well."
"I know, now we just have to deal with Gemma."
****
Jax answered Gemma's text late that night, having spent the whole afternoon answering Abel's questions, by the end of the day you were all hugging Wendy goodbye with plans to meet up again after Gemma was dealt with.
"I'm seeing her tomorrow, I want you there."
You sighed, "I don't think that's a good idea, she's going to feel ambushed."
Jax shrugged, "then I'll ask Nero to be there, he might keep her in line."
You rubbed your face, "I trust you, bringing Nero in was a good idea, let's just hope she doesn't freak out when I show up there."
****
She didn't freak out but she wasn't happy, "is there any reason you're here?"
Jax sighed, "because we're a family, Nero will be here soon, y/n went out of her way to make sure you didn't feel like we were ganging up on you."
Gemma put her hands on her hips, "how sweet of her."
"Mum, that's enough, if you keep this up, you're never going to see any of us again." Gemma paled, and you stepped in before Jax could say more, "I think we should wait for Nero, because right now Gem, he's the only one on your side."
Nero arrived fast enough that there wasn't time to feel out of place, then you were all sitting at the table, "now, two days ago, you told me you wanted to talk to Jax about me keeping Abel from you, you can do that now."
Gemma crossed her arms, "she threatened to kill me."
Nero didn't react, "yes, I did, my exact words were if you ever put my child in harm's way again, I will kill you myself, do you think that's an unreasonable thing for a parent to say?"
She swallowed, "mum, we're not keeping Abel from you, we're keeping him safe. You're not stable right now and you keep proving that to us, how are we supposed to trust you when you're trying to drive a wedge between us?"
Jax sounded angry, "Jackson baby, I just want what's best for you."
Jax crossed his arms, his face going hard, "y/n is what's best for me, she makes me happy mum, I'm going to marry her and you're trying to make her look like a bad mother."
Nero was quiet, "she let Wendy back into his life after she almost killed him, how is that her being a good mother. What do you think she's going to do when she finds out what y/n is."
The air was slowly leaving the room, "she already knows, we told her yesterday, along with telling Abel the truth. We couldn't risk you doing that for us."
She looked shocked, "see, she is trying to keep Abel away from me, I would never do that."
Jax huffed, "don't bullshit, why would you bring Wendy up when you know how we feel about her if you weren't planning to shit on it?"
She blinked, Nero stepping in, "Gem, they're right, you haven't shown they can trust you yet, I can see how hard they're trying my love but you're the problem here. Y/n is just doing what you'd do and protecting her child and her man."
Gemma looked blindsided, "so what, you're going to tell me how to live my life now, hold my grandbaby over my head?"
You shook your head, "no, but I will not let you put him at risk. What I said two days still stands, if you stay on the right track things can go back to the way they were before but this is your last chance, fuck this up and you're done."
"Jackson, how can you let her talk to me like this?"
Nero put his hand on her shoulder but she shrugged him off, and you could feel the rage coming off Jax, "I'm not a little boy anymore, I can make my own mind up and if it was up to me, none of this would have happen, y/n has been on your side this whole time and you've gone out of your way to ruin that. I'm done mum, fix this shit or you will never see me or Abel again."
Jax put a firm hand on your back, "we're leaving."
You didn't move, "Jax please, we can't leave it at this, let your mother explain herself."
Jax's hand made its way around your upper arm and you could tell he was getting distressed, "she can talk to me when she realises that I'll choose you and Abel over her. If she wants me to be happy, she'll accept that."
You didn't protest further, getting up the leave as Jax's hand never left your arm. When you were gone, Gemma fell into Nero's chest, "what do I do?"
His voice was calm, "you listen to your son and fix this or you won't be in their life anymore."
****
Jax lasted until you got to your front door before he broke down, falling into your arms racked with sobs, he didn't speak and you ran your hand up and down his back, "what do I do? She's my mum, I love her but she's causing me so much pain."
You sighed and pressed him closer, "you give her time, Nero will do his best to set her right and if she does come back, you give her space to grow from this, it's ok if it takes you a while to trust her again."
Jax wiped his face and pressed his forehead to yours, "I love you y/n."
"I love you too Jackson."

Maybe I’m your soulmate. || Robin Arellano
Tumblr media

CWS- cursing ..? i think thats it
Notes- HIHI uhm idk if im gonna write a part 2 for this atm but if you guys want one i will! uhm also sorry for shitty grammar LMAO i suck at stuff like that
Tumblr media
Moving was never easy, especially not when you join a new school in the middle of the year.
Although you quickly got situated when you met Finney Blake, you and he had been friends for a little over a week & it was safe to say you considered him your best friend.
That Friday morning when you walked to school with Finney and Gwen like usual, the second you neared the school, chanting was heard
“FIGHT FIGHT FIGHT FIGHT” the group yelled while a taller, much paler boy spoke, “I will pound you like a nail you scrawny little shithead.”
“then do it, unless you’re scared.”
You looked at Finney, “Who the fuck has the balls to fight moose?”

“Robin Arellano.” Gwen answered, “Who? Am I supposed to know him?” You were bombarded with questions as a fight broke out.
You watched intently while listening to your answer, “Robin was Finney’s best friend until he got sent to his grandma's for a week because he got suspended, he’s also the toughest kid in school next to Pinball Vance Hopper.”
“Was Finney's best friend?” you repeated
“Yeah Robin could never call so we kinda just drifted, I was sad for a while but then you came into the picture,” Finney spoke up at last.
you were about to say something else until the actual fight broke out, Robin demolishing Moose, he probably broke his nose.
“Holy shit!” Gwen gasped, her mouth agape, “Let’s go guys.” Finney tugged at Gwen’s arm that wouldn’t budge. When the girl finally moved she was already yapping about it.
“What the hell!! That was Moose!” the brunette said agitatedly.
“I don’t care” The short-haired brunette rolled his eyes, looking to the side.
“He probably deserved it!” You laughed, “Moose is a giant asshole, Finn.”
He nearly responded but someone else did for him, “Hey Finn, what’s happening” You rose your brow at the nickname, a hand snaked around his shoulder.
“Robin, you just came back! You can’t be getting into fights already” Finney laughed, shrugging off his arm.
“Moose needed the beat down if you ask me, ain’t that right Gwen?” He leaned forward, turning his head towards Gwen and your direction.
When he saw you instead of Gwen his eyebrows furrowed in confusion; “Who’s this? Your girlfriend? ooh, Donna won’t be too happy to hear that you’re two-timing Finn” He joked.
You smiled, “Nah me and Finn are just friends. I try giving advice but uh you know how he is, stubborn and hardheaded." you gave Finney a nudge in his side, and he rolled his eyes in response.

"finn? yo i thought i was the only one who called you that? since I'M your bestfriend n all. is she a bully? i don't fight girls but i know people who do." the long haired brunette said intimidatingly.
"hey man chill, finney is allowed to have other friends! especially after you ditched him!" gwen defended.
"i didn't fucking ditch him! i was suspended and couldn't talk to anyone for like a week!" the bandanaed boy exclaimed, an offensive look on his face.
you and finney both opened your mouth to say something, but the bell rung, and students started filling to their classes. "gotta go. later finn, later gwen. Arellano" you nodded before walking off, making your way to your class. shuffling with the other students.
"alright class, as you know.. or not seeing as most of you cannot read," the teacher sighed, his monotone voice staying through out his lecture, "you will have two big projects, middle of the year and end of the year. today marks the OFFICAL start of the end of the school year, hold your applause. you will be working in pairs of two, on the classical big bang theory." the teacher huffed and began explaining the rest of the project.
youy groaned quietly, putting your head in your hands, what if you get paired up with braxton rose? he was the worst! he put gum in your hair before winter break, it took hours to get it out.
"now i will be announcing the pairs. boo who cry me a river ashley. you're not getting paired up with vance OR kamala." vance was the boyfriend, kamala was the bestie. if you couldnt tell.
"right so first we have.." the names ran through and through your ears until you heard your name at last. "Y/N and.. Robin. thats all class, now you can go. projects are due next week."  you gasped, robin was in this class? the fuck? you hadn't even noticed. i mean you could always ask mr green to switch partners, but his divorce was already stressing him out. being a middle school teacher is even worse, so nah not a chance.
begrudgingly, you pushed your self out of the plastic chair, stretching  your joints. you grabbed your stuff and turned to find robin, your eyes didnt have to strain themselves for long because he was right at your desk. "hey robin, meet up at the library, five? bring your shit. we'll start planning?" you asked assertively.
"uhm can't we do it right after school? maybe i've got plans. plus we have study hall, we can do it then?" he tried his best to reschedule.
you sighed, "do you have something to do at five exactly?"
robin smiled, shaking his head left to right, "Nah, sorry. I'll see you after school?"
"alright see ya," you groaned, mentally slapping yourself in the face, robin areallno? of all people. Braxton would be better than this.
the day finished swiftly. leaving you an hour and a half to get home, freshen up and get to the library on time.
you had barely made it on time. three minutes till the clock struck five, when you entered the deserted library, apart from a few nerds studying, robin was nowhere to be found. you scoffed, sitting down at a table in the back, pulling your books out, shaking your leg anxiously until he showed up.
it was about five-ten when he did. you had sat there looking like a loser! he walked in coolly, sliding into a seat next to you. "you're late."
"sorry I fell asleep anyways I'm ready to work now." he cheesed, opening up his notebook, and helping

you two had worked for about twenty minutes before you hit a gigantic boulder. a boulder that stopped your work entirely for half an hour. "this isn't gonna work. you're too overbearing." he ran a hand through his hair.
had it always been that pretty? maybe it just looked better now that there wasnt crimson colored liquid in it.
you shrugged the thought off, "would you be more comfy in more well know space? we could go to yours and work on it there?"

"fuck no! you could be a murderer for all i know." he tried his best to look intimidating but his eyes weren't completely objecting to the scenerio.
you smiled cheekily, looking him in his eyes for the first time in a while leaning up in your seat slightly to get closer to him, "maybe i'm your soulmate." you could see him get flustered. it was almost embarrassing for you.

just then the old timey grandfather clock rang, "ah thats me. see ya robin." grabbing your things and walking out.
robin sat there however, what the hell just happened? were you flirting? wasn't this a rivalry for the companionship of finney blake? yeah okay that was weird. however, what was weirder is the fact that he wasn't absolutely disgusted by the fact that you were flirting with him.

well shit

Love is Complicated

Pairing: Hotch x reader, Gibbs x reader
Warnings!: angst, pining, kissing, fluff
Request: "well i was thinking about a criminal minds x ncis crossover, where the reader has a big crush on gibbs but then she meets hotch and she is really confused 😿" @wolviesbabes
--------
Your hand scribbled yet another word on the endless stack of paperwork that littered your desk. It really did never end. You set your pen down. You needed a break. You looked up and your eyes instantly found him. He was hunched over his desk, probably doing the same thing you were doing.
But God, did he look good doing it. Although in your opinion he looked good doing just about everything.
You noticed that about him over the past couple months on the NCIS team. You had been transfered from another similar unit in New Orleans on the recommendation of Dwayne Pride himself. Gibbs was quick to accept you to the unit, but he remained cold to you for the first couple of weeks. It wasn't until you saved him from a, for lack of better words, crazy gunman did he warm up to you.
After that, you two had gotten extremely close. So close that you developed a small crush on the man. Although, you hid it rather well. No one, atleast not to your knowledge, knew about your crush. And you intended on keeping it that way, but it was so hard when he was just sitting right in front of you, looking all handsome and just... him.
You wanted to tell him. You really did. But he was way out of your league, and you weren't even his type. But a girl could dream.
Vance suddenly came out of his office and called Gibbs up. He stood slowly and walked away. You prayed this wasn't a case. You really did not feel like dealing with a case right now.
He came back out a few moments later, a scowl on his face.
"What is it Gibbs?" You asked, he jerked his head towards Vance's office.
"He wants the team to attend an interagency gala on Saturday night." You scoffed. Of course he did. "FBI, CIA, and NCIS teams are all expected to attend. Including us." His scowled deepened at the thought of having to deal with other agencies.
"Great, just great." And you were so looking forward to a quiet weekened.
* * *
The night of the gala had arrived much quicker than expected. And of course Abby had insisted on going shopping for dresses. She herself had gotten a long black dress, with a slit. She said she would add a few things to make it more like her, and you couldn't wait to see it. You had gone with a more subtle dress. A long emerald green dress, with spaghetti straps and an open back. The front dipped slightly.
You had brought it with you to the office so you could get ready with Abby and as you were heading to the elevator to go to her floor, you heard Gibbs on the phone. Now you weren't one to eavesdrop, but you really couldn't stop yourself.
"I know, I know, it won't take long. I promise. Bye." Was he with someone else? You stood there frozen as he emerged from the room he was in.
"Hey y/n. Whatchtya doin?" He asked suspiciously.
"Oh, um nothing Gibbs, thought I heard you and wanted to say bye before we left, I didnt think you would actually go to the gala tonight, so I thought I could just stop in and-" he cut you off.
"Slow down, you're rambling. You okay?" You needed to get out of there.
"Yup, just been a long day. Alright well bye." You rushed off to Abby office. Once you got there, she instantly asked what was wrong. You explained everything. Your feelings, the conversation you heard, just everything.
"Awe, y/n/n. I'm so sorry. He's stupid if he doesn't see whats right in front of him." That made you smile.
"We should get ready." You stated standing up to grab your dress.
2 hours later, you and Abby walked up stairs looking amazing if you did say so yourself. Wolf whistles were heard coming from Tony as you two walked towards the group. You rolled your eyes, catching Gibbs smirk.
His eyes dragged up and down your body, which had confused you greatly. He had never showed any interest in you before, why now? Maybe he had and was just better at hiding it.
"Well, we should get going." You nodded, you all walked out to the SUVs ready for the night ahead of you.
* * *
The gala was interesting to say the least. Each agency decided to stay away from eachother, like elementary students. Each group taking up their own circle around the room.
You had spotted a rather handsome man who you had recognized as Aaron Hotchner sitting at the FBI tables and couldn't seem to take your eyes off of him. You new you had feelings for Gibbs,, but something about this man just drew you in. You had previously met him on a conjoined case with your old team, and you had developed the smallest of crushes on the man. You never expected anything to happen, and he was only in New Orleans for about a week.
Suddenly Gibbs popped back into your head, and you huffed slightly, turning to search for him. Finding him at a table nearby, talking with a woman. You scoffed and he looked over at you.
In a moment of impulse, you tunred away and walked across the empty dance floor straight to Agent Hotchner. He looked up from his conversation as you neared his table.
"Hi, NCIS Agent Y/l/n. We worked together on the Williams case about a year back." He nodded in recognition.
"Of course. Its great to see you again agent y/l/n." He paused looking you up and down in a way you welcomed. "Can I help you with something." He asked, not unkindly at all, but rather friendly.
"I was wondering if you would like to dance." He raised an eyebrow at you. "Someone's got to break the chill in this room." He nodded and stood up slowly, his team staring on in awe. You figured he didn't do this very often.
"I would love to." He took your hand bringing you to the dance floor as another song began. You two danced for about 10 minutes before more couples began to join you. You smiled in triumph and Hotchner laughed at your face.
"What? It worked didn't it?" He smiled shaking his head.
"I suppose it did." You two began talking and laughing and just getting to know each other. You soon found yourself at a table as you continued with your conversation.
"Okay but, im just saying if Strauss is anything like Vance, they would be perfect together." He laughed at this rather loudly, catching the eyes of a few people near by.
"That would never happen. If Vance is anything like Strauss they would drive each other crazy." You giggled softly. Soon it was time to leave, and Agent Hotchner, or Aaron as he had asked you to call him, offered to walk you to your SUV where the rest of your team was waiting. They all eyed you as this strange man walked you over, handing you a card and pressing a soft kiss to your cheek. You had blushed profusely and walked over, getting in the car.
"So y/n, whos the hottie?" Abby began interrogating you as soon as you shut your door.
"Thats Agent Hotchner. He's the Unit Chief of the FBI's BAU." You smiled to yourself.
"Must be an ass if he's from the FBI." Gibbs remarked, another scowl gracing his face.
"He was actually quite the gentlman." Was your only response before turning to look out the window. Gibbs was the one being an ass. You had just spent the night with a wonderful man and Gibbs just had to ruin it by spouting some snarky comment that only confused you more. The rest of the ride was spent in silence.
* * *
Once back at the office, Gibbs had called you to the elevator, not giving you a chance to respond. You had of course listened, and as soon as the doors shut, he had pulled the emergency button.
"What is it Gibbs?" You asked softly. He just walked closer to you, cupping your face. "What are you doing?" He leaned in slowly bringing his lips to yours.
And you had expected it to be perfect and explosive and passionate. But... it wasn't. He pulled away after only a moment.
"Hang on, let me try that again." And he leaned in once more, pressing his lips to yours. But once again, there was nothing. He pulled away.
"That was ... strange?" He asked, more to himslef than anything.
"I uh, that-that was-"
"Not what I was expecting." He finished for you.
"You know Gibbs, I've been pining over you for months, and I'm guessing you felt the same. But I think we both met someone else tonight that changed our minds." You recalled him spending the whole night side by side with the woman you had seen earlier. You smiled shyly at him. "Call that woman you were with tonight. Tell her you want to go out on a date." He smiled looking into your eyes.
"Only if you call Agent Hochie, or whatever his name was, and tell him the same." You laughed at not only his comment, but the absurdity of the situation. For the past 5 months you had been yearning for a man who ended up not being what you wanted at all. It made you think that maybe what you really wanted, what you both really wanted, was someone to love. So you latched on to the person who had become closest to you.
"I love ya y/n." He whispered as he pressed a kiss to your forehead.
"I love you too Gibbs. Now go get her." He stepped out of the elevator, pulling out his phone. You did the same, pulling out Aaron's card. It rang once. Twice.
"Hotchner." You giggled at his formal greeting. Taking a deep breath before going for it.
"Hey Aaron, I was just wondering if you were up for dinner?" He smiled.
"Of course. You know, I'm really glad you called."
"Me too." And you walked out of your office that night, a date with a man you had never expected, and a smile on your face.

Eddie Munson doesn't get bullied.
Not anymore, anyway. Not since he moved to Hawkins. He arrived in this small town a big-city kid with big-city britches- nobody could try anything he hadn't lived through before, and it quickly became known that that Munson kid? Is fucking weird. Push him, and he'll tell you to do it harder. Call him names, and he won't just embrace them, he'll come to school the next day with a brand new button pinned to his chest with pride. Once somebody grabbed him and Eddie's eyes rolled back into his head like he were possessed, convulsing, and speaking in tongues.
So he doesn't get bullied.
But that doesn't mean he doesn't get his ass beat every now and again- it just means its harder for him to predict.
Gerry Vance, Patrick Hayes, and Dean Thompson were waiting for him after the conclusion of this weeks Hellfire meeting. Eddie was alone. He's almost alone after a session ends unless one of the guys want to hitch a ride, or smoke- today, nobody did. He wrote the session notes alone, he cleaned up alone, he left alone. He didn't realize he wasn't alone until he got in the empty parking lot and saw another car parked conspicuously close to his. Eddie stops. A Jeep Cherokee. Who the fuck does he know who owns a Jeep Cherokee?
He shouldn't have stopped.
"Where do you think you're going, faggot?" Eddie's stomach lurches as hands snatch the handle of backpack and yank it back with enough force to rip the zipper open. Eddie lets them take it. He drops his shoulder out of the strap and tears forward in a blind panic. He feels his manuals hit the back of his scrambling legs, hears them slap the ground. Somewhere, his dice-cup bursts open, sending a torrent of dice clattering across the ground in a chorus of clicks and clatters. It's no use. As soon as he's freed from his bag, Patrick snatches him by his hair.
"Can't slip out of that, can you? Huh Cuntson?" He reaches down and snatches the bandana from his back pocket, raising it where Eddie can see. Dean is still holding his bag, and Gerry gigglesnorts as he watches Eddie wince and bend to Patrick's every desire. "What's this?"
Eddie feigns ignorance. "My hankie? Gross, dude- I blow my nose into that thing." Gerry isn't laughing as he gives Eddie a good sock in the stomach. He would double over if Patrick didn't have a good handle on his hair, Instead, all he can do is jerk and cry out, stomping his foot as the pain crescendos and wanes. "motherfucker-" Patrick tightens his grip on Eddies hair, forcing him to look at the bandana again. "Feels pretty clean to me. Now I'm gonna ask you again. What is this?" Eddie grits his teeth into a false smile. "Why? You been hitting the clubs, Patty?"
Eddie hits the floor like a sack of meat. He has only just begun to scramble onto his hands and knees when the first boot finds him. Then suddenly, there's three. "Shut the fuck up!" There's six. "Freak!" There's twelve. "Fucking cocksucking freak!" There's a hundred and they hit everywhere, they kick everything. They hit his guts, his nose, his legs, his arms- blood spouts into a steady stream when somebody catches his lip and kicks him in the teeth. They kick him in the nose, and it becomes a faucet. Their voices have long distorted and blurred into the panic and the pain his body sings with. He doesn't hear what they're saying anymore, he only feels their intent. There is a pack of dogs around him and they're all barking with hatred, with disgust, with malice and spite and- He sees a blinding light.
suddenly, one of them stops kicking.

5. Favorite ship you discovered this year.
I always know that if I go searching for fic, then a ship has captured my attention bc I'm not much of a fic reader, or I guess I am but not quite the connoisseur like some of you. My MO is to read a few oneshots and then hit a stage of either I'm so obsessed w/ this couple that I'm gonna write my own fic or I just move on to the next obsession. Going thru my ao3 history (TV wise) I read stories for Ted Lasso and Trent Crimm and Ted Lasso and Rebecca Welton from 'Ted Lasso', Agatsuma Zenitsu and Kamado Nezuko from 'Demon Slayer', Callum and Rayla from 'The Dragon Prince' (but this is obviously an old ship and any writing I did for them was for an old fic that I can't seem to finish), Deborah Vance and Ava Daniels from 'Hacks'
but the only ship that I read and also wrote for (or still writing, I guess) was/is Daisy Jimenez and Mac Morris from the 'Saved by the Bell' reboot. Which I guess they weren't so much a discovery bc the first season premiered last year, but season 2 had a little more plot development between them that I ended up caring enough about to search out fic and then attempt my own.
17. A TV show you’re looking forward to watching next year.
Pretty much any show that ended on a cliffhanger, so I guess 'Loki', and 'Hacks' but probably more so 'What we do in the Shadows' bc of that sad and also grossly shocking (I'm looking at you Colin Robinson) ending.
23. Favorite episode you’ve watched this year.
Probably 'The Casino' from What we do in the Shadows. There was just something poignant and hilarious about Nandor falling into depression while also becoming obsessed with a Big Bang Theory slot machine.
Tumblr media
But also the twist and the altered intro of 'Dancing to the Max' on sbtb was a nice surprise that I didn't see coming.
