The thing about Timmy Chalamet is that he’s truly a great actor and he even has good taste in projects and he’s not even overexposed when you calibrate for how overexposed all that group of 25-30 year old big stars are……however something is still off. any time he gets cast in something it feels like that movie instantly turns into a parody of a movie. I cannot explain this

the problem with reading and writing leading to a strong vocabulary is that you tend to know the vibe of words instead of their meanings.

if I used this word in a sentence, would it make sense? absolutely. if you asked me what it meant, could I tell you? absolutely not.

devon is so fucking cool. the way she hugs mark. the way she listened to innie mark’s concerns and not only does she take them seriously!! she takes them MORE seriously than outie mark himself!!! she’s the one insisting that they should be sure everything is okay with gemma. she’s exhausted from her newborn going MISSING and then finding her and she’s still trying to help mark. she DOES NOT trust milkshake. she tries to reconnect with mark after he (understandably) snaps at her. devon is such a cool fucking human being and sister. i adore her.

shows i'm currently watching:

trigun 98: only a few episodes in but i really like it. silly with a hint of more depth that'll probably come somewhere down the line. (a shared show).

rings of power: the first season was good, but the second one is testing me. (this is a shared show and i might've bailed already had it not been the person i'm watching this with really loving it).

severance: brain go brrrrr show. favorite. love love love. (sadly a shared show so i have to wait until the person i'm watching this with is able to watch it too. noooo i want to cheat and watch w/o them).

daria: this is my second rewatch. first i did back in 2014 and then i originally watched it sporadically in the 90s and 2000s. this is the show i watch when no one is around bc it's the only one i'm watching alone. good stuff still. this time jane's backstory and homelife are making me sad tho.

star trek: lower decks: love love love this. exactly what i want in my comedies. currently on season 4 and sad that 5 will be the last. (this is a shared show with two ppl so gotta make sure everyone is available before watching)

fullmetal alchemist 2003: after watching brotherhood last year, we decided to check out the og. just got to the point in the show where it splits off from brotherhood and the manga, so it's gotten a little more interesting. funny thing, i couldn't find this streaming, so i've been getting dvds from the library, but they're out of county libraries so i can't recheck them out. i HAVE to send them back when they're due, which in the end means I go like 2 weeks in between waiting for them to send them back to my library after I request them. lol (a shared show with two people).

solo leveling: just started season two and can't remember what happened in season one all that much. well, they got cool fight scenes at least. (a shared show)

show's i've given up on:

abbott elementary: idk i got so behind that i just feel like i don't want to catch up.

evil: it just got too weird for me. i was in the last season and literally just didn't care anymore. anti-christ baby whatever.
