There is a LOT of Iron Man merch out there. One day, Stark Industries comes out with a line of Iron Man themed night lights that look like arc reactors. The marketing? "For kids who are scared of the dark: Iron Man will protect you."

In completely unrelated news, a whole bunch of child abusers across the country have recently been arrested as a result of  anonymous tips to local authorities.

Bonus:

It's an open secret at some point. Teens who are being abused start buying the night lights. Hell, adults start buying them. Charities pop up to cover the cost for anyone who needs it. Kids who are newly safe often send their night lights on to others ("I'm not scared of the dark anymore," they say).

Even with all of this, nobody snitches to the media or government. They all know grown-ups tend to complicate and ruin precious things.

It helps that the night lights clearly can distinguish between different types of situations. Kids whose parents need mental health or addiction support suddenly find they're being contacted by free services that actually help. If ICE is a concern, the people knocking on the door are not cops but immigrant rights activists. Kids who are hungry get food. Families who need housing support coincidentally find it.

"Iron Man will protect you," indeed.

Happy Lockwood & Co. Big Bang!!! :D I had the absolute pleasure of collaborating with @The_Dreamer_Half_Alive (on Ao3 :) on her fic for the @lockwoodandcobigbang2023 event; set post TEG, it’s truly so lovely and heartwarming, and I had so much fun doing a piece for it! We very much hope you enjoy :)

Okay, so I tried to put a bunch of little easter eggs from the fic and just in general in here, so if you’re interested:

Alright, to start off, I was generally very inspired by them getting a record player; I thought it was very sweet, and I loved the idea of them finally getting to relax and hang out in the library (the lack of chairs, I know; I couldn’t figure out how to put them in without blocking people lol) and locklyle dancing, with the record player on in the background, so that’s what I took as the basis of the scene!!

We had discussed that the characters were kind of a combo of both show and book versions, so I tried to add a smattering and hints of both when doing their designs!

The record is, of course, an Ella Fitzgerald record as mentioned in the fic (the record drawn is her Souvenir Album)

Holly is wearing her engagement ring, and wearing shades of pink and cream because that’s what she wears at her wedding (although shifted in hue to better match the color scheme of the piece lol)

Everyone (minus Flo) of course has their white strands of hair (which is *always* one of my favorite details to draw)

Lucy and George bake in the fic, but I think I had just read the Christmas mini story when I was doing my thumbnail for this, so Kipps ended up being the one bringing in baked goods; however, the baking mitts are orange and monogrammed with George's initials because I couldn't let that slip by, could I?

I wasn't quite sure what to put Flo in, because in the books she never takes off her boots or puffer jacket, but I wanted to throw in some sign that she was living at 35 Portland Row and becoming closer to all of them, (and her close relationship with George,) so I let her keep the boots, but traded the puffer jacket in for one of George's plaid shirts :)

The chess game also made it in because of the Christmas short story, lol

Lucy's blue star jacket!! When I read the fic, I was planning from the start to have her wearing the jacket, so of course it made it in :) I wasn't really sure what style it should be, though, so I ended up with kind of an odd mishmash of designs, but I think it turned out working alright!

The sapphire necklace, because, of course

I adore that Lockwood wears his pink socks throughout the entire show (well, most of the time they're the pink ones ;) so I wanted to include them (and then gave Lucy blue ones to match :)

The chipped blue mugs that Lockwood brings to Lucy for her tea after she wakes up from nightmares are on the bookshelf, and I couldn't find a way to directly include the Earl Grey tea they have, but I made the tea bag tags grey in honor of it

The green glow is the ghost lamp outside because if I can find a way to incorporate cool glows in my art, I will (and also on a more narrative-driven note, symbolizing the past danger they've been through and how some of it is definitely still present, but they have each other to heal with and finally be able to have some simple fun with, and are now curled up in the safety and comfort of 35 Portland Row :)

And finally, a big theme of the fic is them healing and building a happy life together, so I just wanted them to all be happy for once, and hence I put in my best efforts to draw them as such :)

Aka: It's Trans Visibility Day which marks the release of my latest fanfiction! This is a love letter to myself and the trans community at large, specifically the transmasc & non-binary community.

This fic has it all! We got:

The Professor transitioning into a non-binary puppet (ofc)

A healthy dose of angst over the uncertainty of being a visible non-binary person and pursuing transition

An unhealthy dose of fluff since an absolute flood of love and support will be smothered onto the Professor

Some humor sprinkled in! Some out-of-pocket jokes even

A father-son relationship between the Professor and Shane Madej so wholesome it made me and my beta readers kinda weep AHÆH 😭🙏🏽

I really hope you all will enjoy this story. A lot of myself, my friends and my community has been stitched into this, and it may not be perfect, but it was most definitely made with love. Most of all, I hope you will have a great day! Especially to my trans homies. Thank you for being here 🫶🏽

This was really fun to draw. I thought I'd struggle more with their outfit, but turns out Demon Slayer uniforms and haoris are fairly easy to draw.

I had originaly wanted to put Nezuko on Tanjiro's back on one of those baby carriers, but stuggled to make her face backward, so I changed it so that she was on Tanjiro's shoulder, but my friends told me to put her on his head. They prefered it that way, but I liked the lineart of my first idea and didn't want to delete it, so here have it !

A Cecaelia's Lament.

Last week i finished reading "O Homem Duplicado" and i watched its movie adaptation "Enemy" and got a little brainrot so i made a quick doodle of one among many frames i like in the movie (with the reference below).

SPOILERS: This scene does not happen on the book. but i loved the framing here. The contrast in their expressions, the background.

I loved reading the story. Saramago has this ability to create the weirdest scenarios, the kinds that make you say "wouldn't it be fucked up if...". I personally love the main character and the three women there (Maria, Helena and Carolina), especially Maria da Paz (my beloved).

The movie adaptation has a lot of changes from the book, and it has a much faster pacing. Most of what happens there only starts happening after half of the book. But still, i do love the book. The details in the writing are simply amazing. However, i also liked the way the story was adapted in movie (and Jake's interpretation is so GOOD. I loved how he managed to portray too entirely different characters, despite being the same person portraying them).

okay, i’m loving the theories I’m seeing, so i want to build on them:

Buck on an infiltration mission yes ✅ the firefighter puppet is a spycam yes ✅

Buck intentionally drops the “boyfriend” bomb trying to get Gerrard to say some out of pocket shit

But Gerrard already knows. “Oh right,” he grumbles as he lines up his drive, “Kinard, right? Well, let me tell you all about your boyfriend.”

And then tells Buck about how Tommy used to be, in ways that Chim and Hen always step around and Tommy alludes to, but none of them have ever said the kind of hazing rituals that Tommy didn’t just allow but participated in, the cruel things he’s done and said

This leaves Buck totally off-center and he gets no good intel and he goes home that night to Tommy and is like, is what he said true? It’s not real, right?

And Tommy sucks in a big breath and is like, no, he got it in one.

And Buck is horrified and conflicted and so, so, so sad. Tommy asks Buck if he wants Tommy to leave. Buck says, “Yeah, that might be for the best,” and Tommy does

They do work it out. Hen or Chimney are maybe like, hey, we forgave him a long time ago. Because he put in the work. We get more Tommy backstory. About what he’s done and how he’s changed.

Buck and Tommy still have to talk it out. Tommy is like, I’m sorry if you thought i was being dishonest with you, I’m sorry if you think i was hiding it, and maybe I was. Like I said, my history with the 118 is complicated, and I didn’t like who I was back then. I’m trying to become someone I like now.

And Buck, who likes him so much now tells him so, and they have one of those nights where they stay up til sunrise exposing themselves raw, showing each other their ugly bits, the things they’re ashamed of

“Do you think you could love me anyway?” Tommy asks in a moment of frightening vulnerability

Buck’s eyes are red and wet from crying but he nods, chin tucked, says, “Yeah, I think I could.”

for those that wonder how the medical stuff is going, I'll put that below the cut so anyone who doesn't want to see it can skip it easier:

Three of the 12 eggs made it to blastocysts and are now frozen! One is a boy, one is a girl, and one is a ninja who's test results came back 'unknown'. Unknown is a excellent gender. Very proud of all my little frozen snow babies. I really hope they live. Hopefully I will only have to do one more surgery before I can see if my body is fit to give these kids life. If you happen to pray, please send prayers to make these kids powerful. I really really really want them to live. I'm kinda worried sick.
