Funny Gaming moments with Lando and Max (F) x QuadrantStreamer! Reader

Plot: Just funny moments where Reader is a member of Quadrant and is a big UK streamer that does everything on Twitch and YouTube.

A/N: this is only small and just for fun, better Lando stuff is coming out.

Moment 1:

"Do you earn more than Lando Norris, chat you guys are wild ... but honestly with my individual sponsors, YouTube and streaming and any of my weird side activities I think it'd be up for debate" you giggle not actually knowing how much difference there was in what you or Lando earned.

"Not girlie casually admitting that with her side hustle she earns as much as an F1 driver, yeah guys, you gotta think I stream and upload full time. So i get paid for each YouTube video I do, I'm a twitch affiliate and you guys are so so generous. I game competitively and earn from that. I have sponsors, so ... lets just say i had no trouble buying Lando's Christmas presents" you grin, knowing the man had widely expensive taste.

"Who am i spending Christmas with, well Lando's family has asked if I'd like to join them, but I'll be spending the holidays mostly with Max and Pietra. Oh my gosh guys, did you see Instagram? I met Martin Garrix! How cool is that!" you laugh.

Moment 2:

"So I'm here today with Lando, and I'm teaching him Valorant, he knows that I'm in good but I don't think he knows I'm Immortal" you say until you unmute yourself in discord.

"Hey Lando baby" you joke but all you get from the otherside is silence which makes your chat go absolutely crazy.

You hear a few coughs that sound like choking, so you check his stream making sure not to tab out on stream, seeing him sat there in shock in his chair blushing.

"Lando?" you ask, and you watch as he rearranges himself in his chair pulling the mic closer to him.

"Hi, hello yes. Sorry you just threw me off guard" he laughs, wiping across his face with his fingers.

"What are we?" he asks, and you burst out laughing at the question which makes him laugh too. Chat on both ends starts going crazy, with the spam of Lando Norizz <<< Y/N the Rizzler and you were both dying.

Moment 3:

"Argghh fuck" you scream leaning back and fulling falling back off your chair. You were currently playing the horror game ' In Silence with Max, Lando and Ria.

"No way did Y/N just fall?" Max asks laughing at the girl whose stream he pulled up seeing her laying on the floor gripping her shoulder while her chair was now also laying in the floor.

"SHE DID" Lando laughs and you groan out in embarrassment.

Moment 4:

"What was that chat? My door reopened and closed shut while I was gone?" you ask looking back at your door. You knew you were home alone, the only people having a key to your apartment being Max and Pietra and Lando. But they were all travelling right now and were on the plane.

"Chat, stop messing with me" you scold jokingly, you start to load up the game your changing too. However a knock at your bedroom door has you stilling.

"What" you mouth looking at the camera. You go to the door, chat spamming saying how by opening the door that how all the dumb movie characters die. You here another knock making you flinch, you rip open the door, screaming when you see the scary mask, jumping and tacking the person now.

"Ow Y/N fuck" you hear and you rip the mask of, knowing that voice but not wanting to assume.

"Lando?" you ask looking at him.

"I thought it would be funny" he jokes laughing.

Moment 4:

"So Lando, Max and I thought it would be funny to play Valorant but for every kill we get we do a shot" you exclaim.

"Y/N gonna need new kidneys by the end of this? Hmmm very true, maybe we change it to every time we die we do a shot?" you ask seeing what chat's opinion would be on that.

"Then Lando and Max will be needing new kidneys? Well, I'm playing on my alt account and I'm just chilling so we'll be in gold/silver lobbies. Last time we played on my normal account, it was a struggle.

"Lets ask what they prefer! Guys? You want to do shots every time we get a kill or when we die?" you ask after unmuting yourself.

"We playing with MILF account of FnaticY/N?" Lando asks.

"MILF of course. And no comps, I'm not being called a booster" you grin and Max groans, Max was gold 2 and was asking for you to coach him, you had watched him in unrated's but refused to do comps together.

"Wait, when did you change your name...didnt it used to be Ilovetits6?" Max laughs.

"Yes, but chat started to call me mother? So i just rolled with it" you grin looking at chat and winking.

Moment 5:

"Are you and Lando Norris dating?" you ask, and then you open your phone and call Lando himself.

"Hey baby!" you smile and show the chat what Lando is saved as and the picture while he's on speakerphone.

"Hey love. I'm a little late coming back. I got stuck here with Zac and Oscar, but Max and P wanted to know if you would like to go out for dinner with them tonight" he asks and you laugh.

"Wait, Y/N are you live"

"Maybe, look you said you were ready to go public. So this is payback for what you did to Max on stream!" you laugh, knowing he wont be mad at you, as you'd talked recently about going public.

"Exposed? Yes yes i did" you grin.

Moment 6:

"Y/N your boyfriend is horny come sort him out" AngryGinge says adding you to the call forcefully mid stream.

"Mmmm that sounds like a job for you" you says seriously and you pull up his and Lando's stream to watch what was going on. Some people had come into your stream to say to get Lando to end the stream before PR has his head.

"He's been moaning on stream Y/N get your man and take him home"

"Yeah sorry let me just hop on the jet to Monaco..." you joke, knowing you definitely don't have a private jet.

"Wait, just how rich are you? Your boyfriends out here buying watches for 400k, you have a private jet. This just ain't right!" he exclaims making you laugh.

"I don't have a private jet. But... I've been in one of Max Verstappen's" you boast, you'd been introduced to him through Lando as Kelly wanted to meet you and set you up with her modelling agency.

"Huh? WHAT?" he screams and you just laugh before leaving the call. You shoot Lando a teasing message watching his eyes change as he reads it, and he lets out a groan that soon turns into a joke as Angry Ginge yelled at him to calm down again.

Moment 7:

"Salem stop" you tell your cat, which had jumped up and starting to paw in your lap where the blanket lay across before flopping down wanting fuss.

She started to meow at you not getting the wanted attention, but you were in the middle of an important rank up game, that would put you as radiant in Valorant.

As the game went on, you apologized to your teammates when you died after nearly clutching a round when Salem distracted you by pawing at your hand on your mouse.

"Salem please bub. 3 more rounds and you can have all the cuddles in the world" you whisper to the cat before she settles down, you proceed to Ace the next round and your team and you win the next two. The end of the game, with the MVP you get promoted to Radiant #497.

You celebrated by grabbing Salem your black Bombay cat and hugging her tightly, she leans into you wrapping her paws around happy for the affection she's finally getting.

"Treat?" you ask receiving a meow.

Search, Tags, and Tumblr

Tumblr's search functions are notoriously weird, but there's a few common things to know about how it works in conjunction with Tagging. First things first:

-Tags are for searching but also personal blog organization as desired. This is why some folks have weird/funny personal use tags. Tags can use dashes and spaces, but not regular double quote marks ("), though single marks are fine (').

-Tag for what's in the post; adding other, unrelated tags "for visibility" is against Tumblr's TOS and gets you reported for Spam!

Example: if you make a post for your new Clive Rosfield screenshots, make sure you're only tagging terms relevant to Final Fantasy XVI and Clive Rosfield (and any personal organizing tags like "screenshots"); don't add tags like "Star Wars" and "SpongeBob", as Clive has nothing to do with those!

-Tag without censoring words! We use filters/blacklists here to avoid things we don't want to see. Can also work for words in the body of a post. There's no rules here against using "kill" or "death" or other terms defining common human experiences determined "too negative/dangerous" on other sites (stay civil to each other).

-If you do alt-spell things, it's only in the body of a post and usually when it's dislike of a fandom thing as a courtesy to those enjoyers. If I make a shipping post and say, for example, "I can't stand R3y|o", that's when I want to use weird spelling and symbols--and no common tags for that fandom! If you do use tags for organizing, keep it to things like "#anti (thing) or "#(thing) critical", again spelled correctly for others' blacklisting purposes and to keep it out of the Reylo Search and Tags so those fans can enjoy their ship without seeing negativity. Because...

-General Search pulls from Tags and Also terms found in the body of a post. If I just put "Thancred" in the Search bar at the top of the page, it'll show me any and all posts with "Thancred" in them, including 1) if the name is in the body of the post, 2) if the name is in a tag that's a sentence/includes other words, and 3) even if not tagged for Thancred.

This caused some wank a couple years back for certain fans when someone tagged a lascivious picture set with what they knew was a triggery NOTP for many...but they also put the characters' names in the post body, not realizing simply searching for either of those characters would pull it up (They also, IMO, should have put the images under a Read More to be doubly safe, for themselves and for others they knew might be upset stumbling onto said images, but the crux was not realizing how Tumblr Search worked).

-Tag Search specifically pulls from the tags; per Tumblr's info pages, the first 20 tags (out of 30 total allowed) now will show up in search. Common, consistent tags first are good for visibility. You can also Follow tags you want to keep track of; there's even a tab on your Dash for it.

-Reblogs do not show up in the searches, even with additions and new notes. However, a blacklist filter will catch tags put on the original post, even if the reblogger doesn't add it when it ends up on your Dash.

-You can also blacklist blog names/URLs. Think of it like Twitter's muting rather than a full block (though one can do that too, and should as needed).

Example: someone following Seanan McGuire doesn't like frogs, but she reblogs a lot of frogs. The follower blocked and blacklisted the blogs she often reblogs frogs from to minimize the number of frogs they see while still following a favorite author for her book info.

-If people ask you to tag a thing cuz it's a squick or full-on trigger, you can just do it, or you can politely say no; that's valid. It's up to that person then to decide if they want to blacklist or unfollow or block or what. Just be civil either and both ways.

In summary: if you're talking about bunnies cuz you took pictures at the local farm show, just write "bunnies" normally in the body and/or tags of the post, so anyone with "bunnies" blacklisted can avoid it--and folks who want to see cute pics of bunnies can find it!

Even if you use proper tags, or no tags, or only use alternate spellings in the post body to keep things out of the tags/searches, consider still using a Read More as a last line of courtesy to any followers or random folks you don't want to catch in the crossfire. Also consider hiding your blog from Search results, and/or Private posts.

Tumblr's Help Center (On Desktop browser, go to the "About" link, and then the "Resources" menu; on Mobile App, go to Account settings, General settings, scroll down to "Help" under "Account") has further info about Searches and Tagging (and everything else!), and as that info changes, it's a good idea to keep track of those page updates, as well as the @changes blog to keep track of new updates, bugs, recent fixes, and upcoming info.

I woke up to your post about the stolen story and I’ve been trying to find the right words. I write too (privately) and my stories are very close to my heart and I’m very defensive about them. So I can only imagine that’s even worse when you actually publish your work and make yourself vulnerable. Still not sure I’ve managed to put my thoughts, but here we go:

First of all I want to tell you how sorry I feel for what a night/evening you must have had. I cannot imagine how much it must hurt to realise that people try to profit from and steal something that you have put and keep putting so much work, love, passion and dedication into. (English is not my first language so I hope I’m making sense here) I can only imagine that it feels like someone is using you and taking something away from you that is close to your heart and I‘m so sorry someone made you feel this way.

I also went through all my bookmarked stories on AO3 from the past two years to check if there might be some of the „similar“ stories you mentioned. Obviously I don’t know what stories you’re talking about. There were a few stories with a similar character dynamic, but nothing as blatantly copied as the one from your post. But (and I don’t know if that’ll make it less painful and disappointing for you): there are very very VERY few stories that I go back semi-regularly to re-read. There are even fewer stories that I go back to when I have a bad day. That are even less stories that made me tear up and keep making me tear up when I go back to them. And there are even fewer stories that are just open as a tab, just in case I want to read them again. But most of these very few stories are your stories.

If I want to cry and be sad and happy at the same time, I go back to the amnesia fic.

If I want to deep dive into Lestappen feelings and laugh and cry at the same time, I go back to Long Live.

If I’m in the need of some laughter and banter with great smut on top, I go back to like a Vapor

If I feel angsty and want to feel comfortable and distract myself with some good smut with feelings, I go back to the Warming Verse

If I want to read great character dynamics and studies, banter and unhinged smut, I go back to lestappen + guest (although I sometimes skip Carlos, depending on how annoying he is in real life…)

And the list goes on!

They can try to copy your character interpretation, steal your dialogue and write stories that are similar to yours, but they will never get this. They‘ll never be able to get these feelings out of people, because it will never feel as real, BECAUSE A COPY CAN NEVER BE AS GOOD AS THE OG!

seeing that somebody had stolen my work was... an interesting wave of emotions for me. i was clearly angry, i think everyone can see that in my response to them because i'm not one to anger-respond to things on this platform or on AO3. i'm pretty good at holding my tongue and bitching about it offline to my gf or my friends. i don't like to engage in anon hate (which is why i never publish them. i think every creator who has a following similar to mine receives anon hate and i'm not immune from it, i just refuse to publish it.) and i don't like to engage with anybody who's intentions are not good.

i want my little corner of the internet to always be a safe space for everyone. i want everyone to have a good time. to be happy, to love each other, to feel like they can come to me with things they might not be able to say out loud. i never want that to change, which is why i try really hard NOT to respond to haters or other bad things that happen around my fics.

but this time, i couldn't be silent. and i won't apologize for it.

as a fandom, and as a society, we need to be better. tumblr and ao3 are an escape from the real world. it's a place you can go and be free, and happy, and goofy, and silly, and--frankly--embarrassing about the things you like. there is no reason any of us should be stealing someone else's art in any capacity. because if we do? if we let this continue? it's not fun anymore. and what the FUCK is the point if it's not fun?

this is not our real life. this fandom does not define who i am as a person, and it doesn't define who you are either. we all have real lives outside of this space. if we keep plagiarizing each other's art and sending anon hate and being cunts about everything, we will ruin all the good things we have here.

we need to recognize other creator's hard work and thank them for it.

appreciate their work and get inspired by it, without stealing it. make it your own. make it DIFFERENT. don't put the same quotes, don't put the same characters, don't put them in the exact same scenario as your inspiration. don't have them sitting the exact same way as the characters in your inspo were!!! BE BETTER.

Mutuals (or moots) are how we refer to each other here when we follow each other and have the same interests. Basically it's what we call our friends

Your 'following' tab is going to be your feed where you can see the posts of people you follow. 'For you' is going to be the feed that Tumblr gives you based on posts you like or reblog. 'Tags' is going to be the feed that shows you posts from the tags your follow strictly.

Reblogs are how to mainly interact with posts. It is NOT the same as reposting something. You're basically taking that person's post and sharing it with your followers and the op (original poster) is still getting the notes/credit for it.

Make sure to only tag your posts with relatable tags. If you're posting about one character, don't tag another. It can be seen as spam and some people may report you thinking you are a bot.

Filter your tags so you don't find things you don't want to see. You do this by going to your settings. Find the tab where it says filter tags and type in the tags you do not want to see. Then anything with that tag will be blacked out and you will have to click on the post to be able to see it.

BLOCK AND REPORT ALL BOTS YOU SEE!! Tumblr has a very bad bot problem and it is unfortunately one of the only ways to keep them away from you.

If there is drama, try not to engage. We try to just have fun here and not worry about drama. If someone posts things you don't like or agree with just block them and carry on with your day. Don't turn it into a big thing.

Make sure to explore and have fun. This isn't Quotev and there's a lot of things to look for and to engage with. There isn't groups but that's okay. We're just here to chat with each other and look at things we enjoy.

There's a lot I'm missing in this but it's all just things that I think are fun to discover on your own. Have fun with this place.

I used Tumblr's feedback function about the recent changes. But, fuck, it was hard to get it short enough. It had to be under "5,000" characters--but the system's broken so it required me to get it to around 4,700. I don't think the short version makes as much sense, but I'll provide it under a cut. And I'll follow with a long version.

You want to drive engagement: that means being more fun than nuisance.

We hate snoozing Live. Disrespecting users' preferences and giving busy work means you'll never convert us to Live users: you've only built resentment.

Some users turn off push notifications for being annoying. What does Tumblr have that requires urgency? A friend who needs a ride to the ER is not asking on the fun meme site. When you push notifications, it's your decision to get my attention, instead of my choice. There's no way to spin this as a positive.

The persistent banner in "Activity" warning that notifications are off, is a rude reminder that you feel entitled to my attention. Your intention to SPAM users like me is worse, but we're the kind of users who are also motivated to click “Report Spam” to hurt your domain score in retaliation.

Users hate algorithms. Most users turn off “in your orbit” etc. They made your site harder to use--it's confusing and awkward to see posts of unexpected origin. I had a look at the separate feeds, but I haven't used them again. The chronological feed is more appealing.

Users don't want your vision of condensed reblogs. You'll destroy popular memes that only work in the current format, such as the speech bubble gag. You will lose users if this humor is tough or impossible. 2 better ways of rolling this out: 1. Offer it in the editor, like polls. Users will choose when threaded is better. 2. Offer a toggle on posts. This allows threads to be viewed when it makes sense.

Users like duplicate reblogs. This is social bonding, unique to Tumblr. duplicates show which mutuals share your tastes. The joke about seeing the same post shared by 5 mutuals is endearing, not derogatory.

Be more thoughtful with your ads. You have a lot of LGBT users. Why show ads from a hate organization like Chik-Fil-A ads? It's very offputting.

Don't "fix" the things you do well; improve where you're doing poorly.

Search needs work.

Users who remove their blog from search are confused when they can't use the search bar inside their blog. They turn on favorite tags which can't be used in that case. It would help to have an option to enable search only from within the blog.

Search is inconsistent. I can type a whole post from days ago, with no results. It's not clear why some posts aren't searchable.

I want duplicates in my feed, not search.

Sometimes I lose a post after an accidental refresh. An option to search blogs I follow would help.

Add search to the follower/ing lists. And if you follow someone called 1Funny1 now, it would help to know that they were NotJoking8 when you followed last year.

Fixing search might seem low impact. But it's probably the one thing that will stop users from calling the site broken. That will encourage new users to join.

We want a "mutuals" badge. You're mimicking the worst parts of social media, but we love friend lists. An indication of who's a mutual is helpful. It should increase engagement as well!

Your hate speech policy needs improvement. The bar to remove LGBT-phobic content is too high. The "mundane political speech" has deadly consequences. Allowing LGBT-phobic content if it's "not extreme" normalizes attacks on our human rights--you're influencing public policy by treating these ideas as if they're civil, despite the harm. And we deserve a place to escape the hate.

Next, there are better ways to spotlight content. You could build a tab for curation. 3 kinds: 1. Official Tumblr Curators 2. Sponsored Curators ($), and 3. User Curators. Users should be able to select which type they see at any time. This should include categories for browsing, and search. They should highlight bloggers, especially creators. This allows users to find new content organically, instead of being forced--this is a marketable feature.

For revenue: Editor+. A robust text editor that matches Google Docs, etc, with unique Tumblr enhancements, like a way to favorite gifs and emojis for faster use, and a meme generator--something that fits the most common meme formats but allows quick insertion of text and graphics. Those exist elsewhere, but integration is convenient. That means value to the user.

You should also leverage the Marketplace better. Gifting would be great for digital products. Send DoorDash gift cards, or gift an online watch party or music through Tumblr. The Marketplace is a lot more appealing if it can include useful services.

Closing thought: after a bonus at work, I was about to go ad-free. But the announced changes will be more nuisance than fun: I can't imagine staying here if you make the site unusable. These are obvious errors that will decrease your userbase, and it's surprising that you didn't immediately realize this.

From the same creator as RPG elevator! If I remember anything from RPG elevator (other than not really being good at the grind but having fun anyways), it was the story. Especially the prologue story. The tutorial sequence. The introduction. I got engaged so quickly with the atmosphere being so well made along with the mechanics being so clean. Hell, I was so invested that I got really attached to Haynes and after completing the prologue, a few days later went on an alt to do it again. And then I'd get my friends to join me on RPG elevator by ALSO making them play the prologue.

To be short, I was really invested in Hyuno's storytelling ever since I played RPG elevator.

When I saw this in my recommended tab, I went into it blind because of course the thumbnail would hook me. Yet somehow, with only a few lines of dialogue on a black background, I immediately knew who made this game somehow? With the familiar way the dialogue played out, the small sound effects, and then the really cool way they do expressions on roblox avatars. It's very cool. Such a well made story game so far and I am beyond hyped for this hell yeah.

So far, as a refresher if this is future me because I don't trust myself:

Hyuno only finished the first part where your character moves out of their apartment due to their parents being busy people who move around. You are then faced with the reality that you left behind your best friend, Ember, with the broken promise of being there to preform for a high school performance (to prove to her parents that acting is right for her). Now, at our new home, we have to force ourselves to forget all of it. Start anew or hide away from it all entirely.

Made a new blog just so that I have all my roblox games in order. yippee!! a bit late ngl. anyways. I donated 10 robux before I left ('s all i had i literally only have 0 robux now exactly gAHHAHA). If this is ever seen by anyone and you do decide to check it out/ have checked it out already, send a lil robux their way. Roblox does NOT pay these independent game devs. Nor do they let them have 100% of the robux donated (THEY TAKE 75% OF IT ARE YOU SERIOUS?) I do actually despise roblox the corporation and the greedy decisions they've made over the years that have piled up exponentially. 10. Do you work on multiple wips or stick to one fic at a time?

it tends to come in waves for me. i'll get the idea for one (1) fic, which adds itself to the pile of "things i'm writing". i'll work on one fic as inspiration hits, forget about it for an extended period of time, and then pick it back up again. this happens for every single fic i'm working on, as well as all my original pieces.

it's not an ideal way to operate, since it slows down my process severely, but eventually my AO3 will be populated by a whole bunch of really, really good work. i hope. right now it's a baren wasteland. oops. i promise i'll have some good fic content coming soon! i just have to get back into the swing of writing characters that are not my own.

18. Do you enjoy research? Which fic of yours required the most research?

oh, i LOVE doing research. it's probably my favorite part of the process. for example:

sorry, i know it's a little hard to see, but this is a FULL rack of tabs that i was using for my writing at one point. it's all direct research pages, note-taking google docs, etc etc. my wife (love her to pieces) eventually told me "that's going to destroy your computer" and made me bookmark and close like 90% of them, though. they live on, though! hahaha.

generally speaking, any AU fic is gonna require a little extra research. i really want to do "it" right if that makes sense. so that's looking up common tropes for the AU, background history / knowledge if needed, looking at other fics that have the same AU, etc etc. i'm not a super published fic author (sorry), but Promise it to me. took a lot of external research to get the terminology and speech right.

20. Do you prefer writing AUs or canon fics?

if we're talking in terms of "traditional AUs" (coffee shop, flower shop x tattoo parlor, college, fantasy, rockstar etc), i actually don't write a lot of them. i was working on a flower / tattoo fic at some point with a buddy, but that was between our OCs and it kind of flickered out. i'm kind of unpracticed when it comes to AU fics.

but more broadly, every fic i write is an AU or canon divergence in some way. such is the way of fanfiction. but i tend to stick closer to canon than i do to AUs. that's not to say that i don't love me an AU fic, but they tend to take a little more time (see above) and they don't go down as smooth for me. maybe that'll change with more practice. who knows? :D

22. Do you title your fics before, during, or after the writing process? How do you come up with titles?

at the end of the day, i'm a song-lyric-title guy through and through. when i get a song in my head, it actually really helps me figure out where i'm going with a piece. so that's where most of my titles come from.

before i get to that point, though, i'll usually make my title a keysmash or some basic descriptor. sometimes i tag the piece with a temporary name or something else basic:

and it's actually pretty rare for me to pull out a full, original title. not impossible! but very, very rare.

in general, if i'm not actively stealing a song lyric, the title will just be some description of what the piece actually is. i'm not a very creative guy when it comes to titles, haha.
