Been wanting to do a piece on ANATOMY forever, and I'm declaring this one finished! Using a video format since it's hopefully, more readable, but below the cut is the gif version and the individual frames!

Okay okay I have a proposed idea that I need someone to recreate because if someone does this I will be BEYOND ecstatic.

Imagine the hate monologue from AM in I Have No Mouth And I Must Scream + the swallowed monologue from ANATOMY + the conversation with The Master in the original Fallout. Dude… combine that with the music from The Outer Worlds or maybe Warframe and you have such a banger monologue together talking about man’s failures and the anger those outside of it feel, helpless and scared.

If anyone with any editing experience or skills makes this I will give you a kiss on the cheek and a free request for whatever drawing you want (within reason obviously)

Watching Markiplier play Anatomy rn ... And after a bunch of googling and crap I've thought something lol

I find the whole story of the game so sad as opposed to scary, it's definitely unsettling no doubt about that but just the word painting it depicted is just so heartbreaking 💔

The abandoned house that drove itself mad with heartbreak and loneliness and desperately trying to understand what it did wrong for it to be abandoned, conjuring imaginary shadows to keep itself company but still always knowing that their not real and it is still abandoned and alone to crumble

That got way more 'poetic' I guess lol than I intended but it just really gripped me and I wanted to put this out there lol

But am I alone in feeling so bad for the old house? Did I interpret the story wrong? What you think?

I can't stop thinking about Anatomy

What happens to a house when it is left alone? It becomes worn and aged. And its paint peels and its foundations begin to sink. It goes for too long unlived in. What does it think of? What does it dream? How does it regard those creatures who built it? Who brought it into existence only to abandon it when its usefulness no longer satisfies them. It may grow lonesome. It may stare for long hours into the darkness of its empty halls and see shadows. Its heart may jump as it thinks "here, here is someone again, I am not alone." Each time it is wrong. And the hurt starts over. It may haunt itself, inventing ghosts to walk its floors, making friends with its shadow puppets, laughing and whispering to itself at the end of some quiet cul-de-sac. It may grow angry. Its basement may fill with churning acid like an empty stomach. And its gorge may rise as it asks itself, through clenched teeth, "what did I do wrong?" It may grow bitter. It may grow hungry. So hungry and so bitter that its scruples dissolve and its doors unlock themselves. While a house may hunger, it cannot starve. And so in fever and anger and loneliness, it may simply lie in wait. Doors open. Shades drawn. Hallways empty. Hungry."

it's very powerfully written and performed and i was thinking about it recently
