The Clima-tact
Yes, Nami absolutely maximized Usopp's invention, adding her own weather combos and battle-ready tweaks with impressive smarts and creativity. But let's not forget that it was Usopp who crafted the Climatact in the first place, and he’s the one constantly upgrading it—free of charge, might I add. If the roles were reversed, you can bet Nami would have an invoice ready. Usopp even enhanced it before Whole Cake Island, which directly contributed to her MVP status in that arc.
I don't mean to sound critical, but when some Nami fans downplay Usopp's role in creating the Climatact, it's like saying Steve Jobs didn’t make the iPhone. Sure, a smartphone is only as smart as its user, but without Usopp—our very own Steve Jobs—there wouldn’t be a Climatact to trick out in the first place. So, yes, Usopp is the genius behind the hardware, and Nami’s the savvy user who downloaded every app and just upgraded to the iCloud storage plan.
Let's not forget that the Climatact isn't just any pole staff. Usopp's craftsmanship is what makes it unique, tailored specifically to maximize Nami's abilities. If she could achieve the same results with any ordinary staff, then her contribution wouldn't be as impressive. But the fact is, she can't—her abilities are amplified because of the specialized weapon Usopp designed and continues to upgrade.
Also, it’s important to remember that Nami’s weather techniques rely heavily on combining elements like water and other components. She can't do that without the Climatact’s unique features. Downplaying Usopp's role undermines the significance of his genius. Without his foundational work, there wouldn’t be a Climatact for Nami to trick out in the first place. Both their contributions are vital, but Usopp's craftsmanship is the cornerstone of Nami's success.

Daniel Ricciardo x Lando Norris | Mentions of Daniel Ricciardo x Fem!Reader, Lando Norris x Fem!Reader Fluff | Warnings: Suggestive Themes | Word Count: 1.1K Daniel and Lando's story after Knock, Knock.
The energy in Mexico was addicting. It had Lando buzzing with excitement, which did nothing for him when trying to drift off to sleep. The cheers from the fans still rang in his ears, and his cheeks hurt from the perma smile he had plastered to his face. As sleep eluded him, Lando began the mind-numbing task of scrolling through Instagram, hoping the endless posts would act as a modern-day lullaby.
Upon opening the app, the first post was from Daniel’s girlfriend. It was from her time in Austin, snippets from the weekend: her time at the track, the few outings with Daniel, and that night at the intimate club. The last picture was a bit hazy. But, it was clearly the three of them standing close, bodies pressed against one another as someone candidly took a snapshot of the moment.
Lando’s breath hitched. His cheeks warmed at the thought of that night. Remembering how she reacted to his touch, the noise she made, and how she tasted. It was not only Daniel’s girlfriend that influenced this reaction but Daniel himself. His teammate. A taken man: in a committed relationship, who he believed was straight. But, the same man that grabbed him by the hair and called him good boy, fed his release to his partner and covered him in his clothes.
To say that Daniel had him questioning his sexuality was an understatement. Before his spiraling thoughts could consume him, Lando heard a ping from his phone.
You up?
Im so wired, can’t sleep
Of course, it was Daniel.
Same here. My mind just won’t turn off. Lando responded.
Daniel typed back quickly. Would you mind some company?
Lando’s hands stilled, and his heartbeat increased. Just the thought of being alone with Daniel amplified everything. Though they spent plenty of time together, recently Lando ensured someone was always present when interacting with Daniel. It was never just the two of them. Lando didn’t trust himself to be alone with Daniel. But, before he could stop, he was typing back.
Not at all. Room 1034.
As soon as he sent the message, he jumped from the bed. He tossed some abandoned clothes in the general direction of his suitcase on his way to the bathroom. If he was going to see Daniel, he would make sure he brushed his teeth at the very least.
A couple of minutes later, and T-shirt change, a gentle knock echoed throughout the beige hotel room. With one last glance at himself in the mirror, Lando bounded over to the door. Making quick work of the locks, Lando yanked back the heavy door to find Daniel standing, almost timidly, in the garishly lit hallway.
He looked adorable in his matching Enchanté sweat shorts and sweatshirt. His beautiful unruly curls and soft features were obvious indications of his lack of sleep. Everything about him made Lando want to pull him close and gently kiss him until he fell asleep in his arms. But that was not something he could do. Daniel was not his.
“Hi,” Daniel said softly.
“Hi,” Lando responded.
A small smile graced Daniel’s lips, “You gonna let me in?”
“Oh yeah,” Lando rushed out, quickly moving from the doorway.
Daniel flashed Lando a bright smile, passing by close enough that Lando could smell his body wash and feel the fabric of his sweatshirt graze the raised hair on his arms.
Lando let the door close behind him as he turned to watch Daniel move around the room as if he was familiarizing himself with the space. A calmness had settled over the room, and Lando did not want to disturb it. It was not until Daniel met Lando’s eyes in the mirror that Daniel seemed to remember that he was not alone.
“So…” Daniel dragged out, his hands stuffed into his pockets.
“So…” Lando chuckled.
“Sleep?” Daniel suggested simply.
Without hesitation, Lando nodded. As if in tandem, Lando and Daniel made their way onto the bed and under the covers. Lando left enough space between the two of them. The last thing he wanted was to make Daniel uncomfortable. Though it was not the first time they shared a bed. The only difference was that Daniel’s girlfriend was not sandwiched between them.
As he melted into the mattress, Lando reached over to turn off the bedside lamp, cloaking the room in darkness. Electricity zipped through the air. Though they were not touching, it felt as if Daniel’s body was pressed to his. The feeling was almost suffocating. Warmth spread over his skin and settled in his lower belly. The room was so silent he could hear Daniel breathing.
“Lando,” Daniel whispered.
“Yeah?” Lando responded just as quietly.
“Come closer,” Daniel commanded.
Without a second thought, Lando shuffled closer to Daniel. His head came to rest on Daniel’s chest as he enveloped him in his arms. He pulled him in close as his lips grazed Lando’s smushed curls. Lando could hear Daniel’s heartbeat ring in his ears. A beautiful melody lulling him to sleep.
The weight of the busy week finally began to pull his eyes closed.
“Lando?” Daniel questioned.
“Mmm?” Lando groaned.
“Can I kiss you?” he asked hopefully.
Lando gasped. His mind struggling to catch up to the question. Kissing Daniel was all he could think about for the entire week, and what he wanted was right in front of him. The man he wanted was lying in his bed, wrapped around him, asking him for a kiss. It was almost too good to be true. Lando nodded.
“Words, Lando,” Daniel prompted.
“Yes, please kiss me, Daniel,” Lando breathed.
Daniel wrapped one hand around the back of his neck, his thumb resting on the hinge of his jaw. He tilted Lando’s head up until their noses brushed against one another. Daniel let the desire wrap around them until he reached down and gently pressed his lips to Lando’s. A sigh of content fell from Lando’s lips as he relaxed into the kiss. Returning the lazy late-night kiss with a juxtaposing amount of passion. He wanted more.
Lando bit Daniel's full bottom lip before slipping his tongue past his parted lips as Daniel moaned. Lando chuckled, loving being able to elicit such a reaction from his teammate. Daniel returned the kiss with the same amount of enthusiasm, tangling his fingers in Lando’s hair.
Many kisses later, Daniel pulled back from Lando. Lando whined at the loss and chased after Daniel’s lips to continue the makeout session.
“I think we should get some sleep; big day tomorrow,” Daniel suggested.
“Ugh,” Lando complained.
Daniel giggled, “Sleep now, kisses later.”
“Fine.”
With a final kiss to his forehead, Daniel readjusted Lando in his arms. Soon, sleep took over Lando even though he fought it the entire time. He wanted to fully enjoy being curled around Daniel for as long as he could, but the comfort he provided was too much to deny.

Arcana Twilight and Obey Me (OG) Comparison
Background: Obey Me (OG) was officially released on December 11, 2019, while Arcana Twilight was released on August 25, 2022 for worldwide audience. People have said that Arcana Twilight have similar mechanics with Obey Me (OG), but to what extent? I've played both games, so I'll write this comparison.
Disclaimer: The things I would write here would be based on my observation of the game mechanics and features present in both games. I did this post to list down the similarities and difference between both games, and not to cause dissonance between two fandoms.

Differences
a. Amount of ads
The very first thing that will greet you when you open the Arcana Twilight is an ad. Both games have ads to support their game mechanics, but the amount of ads you could find in Arcana Twilight is more than those in Obey Me.
The Obey Me ads are mostly there to help the players gain more chances to battle the stages - thru gaining more AP or gaining more battle chances in hard stages or event stages.
The Arcana Twilight ads, however, are mostly found everywhere, since the ads can be used to double the resources drops/gold and to obtain materials and gold if you don't have MP to farm battle stages. You could even use the ads to reduce the time for Visits, which then you don't have to wait long to get gold to upgrade your cards. The ads in this game is like a massive cheat to progress faster thru the game. All you have to do is watch ads and you'll have your resources as reward.
However, there are times wherein forced ads would sometimes pop out after you complete a battle stage in main story or when you'd open the app. If the player wants to opt out of the ads, unfortunately, they can't do so. I'm not sure if the Arcana Club membership implements a "No-Ads" perk though.
As for why are there so many ads in the game? There's a speculation that the reason might be because of this. The link discussed about the reason for why it looks like they are in need of money. Since ads is an option to gain money in a game, they utilized it in order to make money because they are constantly on red. This is actually a good way for free-to-play (F2Ps) players to support the developers if they can't shell out money or buy the Arcana Club membership in the game.
b. Crystal Rewards in Main Story Stages and Daily Missions
One thing you'd notice right away is that in Arcana Twilight, each battle stage rewards 50 crystals for first-time 3-star clear. Then, after you clear out the whole chapter, you'll receive another crystal reward for 3-starring all stages in the chapter. The daily missions give out 50 crystals each day, so it pays the effort to open the game daily and clear out the dailies.
It is completely different from Obey Me (OG), wherein completing each stage in the main story, you'll only receive devil's tree items in the missions and occasionally, you'll get DP for the boss stage you've cleared for the chapter. The daily missions only give out a total of 18 devil points.
c. Events
Obey Me constantly push events every time in the game. There are times when there would be downtime, but it is pretty minimal. The events have story stages and reward ladders that players could opt to grind if they want the UR cards in the event. There are also event cards that is only available in time-limited event banners, which can boost the points for the reward ladder grind.
However, the Pop Quiz or Celestial Blessing events are mostly for spending players and not for F2Ps because of how much resources you need to put into the event just to get the desired rewards from the ladder. F2Ps could join the Birthday event grind but with proper preparation first. But the good news is that the past Pop Quiz and Celestial Blessing events do come back in Lonely Devil and you could rerun the event for a limited time to grind for the rewards as F2P.
Arcana Twilight, on the other hand, has event cards but there is no event story stages nor reward ladders to grind for. The event story is locked behind the event cards from the limited-time banners.
When it comes to limited-time event banners, Obey Me only have demon cards in the banners, whereas in Arcana Twilight, the event banners include both sorcerer card and wish card in the roster. The Obey Me event memory cards are only available in the event reward ladders.
Both games have event banner reruns and Obey Me rerun banners also retain the pity/total summons done from before, so that players could continue their pulls the next time the banner reruns. As for Arcana Twilight, I have no idea if the rerun banners also retain the pity/total summons from previous banner run.
d. Main Story Chapter Updates
There's this joke in the fandom that while Obey Me updates their main story chapter every week, Arcana Twilight gets update every year. It sounds like a joke, but it's not really far-fetch from what happened.
To start off, I'm not a day 1 player. I only started recently so the things I'm writing here are from what I understood in my research. I snooped around the archives of the official Tumblr account of Arcana Twilight and sub-Reddit and found their posts about the chapter additions in the game and noted their timestamps.
Their very first chapter addition is Floor 10, which means that on its initial release, the game has until Floor 9 only. Floor 10 was announced to be added on September 2022, Floor 11 on April 2023, Floor 12 on late October 2023, and recently released, Floor 13 was added on December 2023.
I still haven't reached Floor 13 yet. I stopped at Floor 8 at the time of this writing, because of the requirement needing me to be at least level 30 to proceed to next floor, which I'm currently low-leveled yet for that, so I could only bid my time and make my team stronger for the next floors.
But from what I could tell, the players feel as if they were left with a cliffhanger with the recent addition, with many of them thinking that a lot of questions were left unanswered. They could see the potential of the story in the game but, a lot of lore details weren't really touched on in the story.
I'm not really sure what happened in Floor 13 since I tried to avoid the story spoiler, but this image below is what I saw mostly talked about.
People are either thinking that this ending credit means that the main story of the game is completely finished or that this credit is saying that this floor is the end of Season 1 of main story.
In my opinion, I'm not really sure how to react to this kind of news. I just recently started the game and wrote the newbie guide and card mechanic guide posts just a few days after playing the game, only to find out that the game is probably on it last leg. I'm not really sure what would happen next for this game and I could only wait it out.
e. Inventory
Obey Me (OG) doesn't have an inventory, while Arcana Twilight has one.
f. Friend list
Obey Me (OG) has friend list where you could gain 50 AP by exchanging with friends daily, while Arcana Twilight doesn't have one.

Taiwan FAQ Part 4: Activism for Foreigners Inside and Outside Taiwan

Is it illegal for foreigners to protest in Taiwan?
I have heard this on and off through the years, but have never seen or found anything stating it is absolutely illegal. It does seem to be a gray area. I have participated in several demonstrations and protests in Taipei without a problem. Unless you create problems, you'll be left alone.
I wouldn't recommend organizing or speaking at a protest, as technically you could be violating the terms of your ARC/visa for doing "work" outside the purpose of your residency/visit
I'd say if you have permanent residency with an open work permit, there should really be no problem in you participating in a protest
Always be careful about participating in direct action, as the reality is foreigners do not have the same rights and protections as citizens, and that is where that gray area would get you in a lot more trouble.
If you do get questioned during a demonstration, just say you were walking by and were curious about what was going on.
Should foreigners protest in Taiwan?
I've seen a few people (foreigners) recently bring up that foreigners shouldn't have a place in these protests. While this is obviously a matter of opinion, I see no problem in showing up in solidarity with Taiwanese people at these protests.
My opinion is:
I'm not showing up to these things naively. I'm informed on the issues.
I've lived here for years and will continue to live here forever. What the government does and decides will always affect me directly.
I will never be allowed to vote. This is my way of making my opinion heard.
I'm not speaking at these events, not speaking over the Taiwanese people, and am in fact doing my best to amplify the voices of locals at these events.
If someone thinks I shouldn't be involved in the politics of my home, how many years do they think I need to live here in order to earn that right?
How to use Chinese-language resources as an English-speaker / Keywords to search in order to do so
Twitter has been a huge resource for me lately and Threads is also playing a huge part in mobilization in all of this. I think it's important to read and learn as much as possible about all of this, and obviously many of what is being put out is in Chinese. Most social media/apps/web browsers/phones will translate that stuff for you. At worst, take a screenshot on your phone and translate it that way.

How Osama bin Laden’s ‘Letter to America’ reached millions online
By Wednesday night, the letter had become a point of discussion among left-wing creators on the video app, with some saying its critiques of American foreign policy had opened their eyes to a history they’d never learned.
But the letter didn’t rank among TikTok’s top trends. Videos with the #lettertoamerica hashtag had been seen about 2 million times — a relatively low count on a wildly popular app with 150 million accounts in the United States alone.
Then that evening, the journalist Yashar Ali shared a compilation he’d made of the TikTok videos in a post on X, formerly Twitter. That post has been viewed more than 38 million times. By Thursday afternoon, when TikTok announced it had banned the hashtag and dozens of similar variations, TikTok videos tagged #lettertoamerica had gained more than 15 million views.
The letter’s spread sparked a deluge of commentary, with some worrying that TikTok’s users were being radicalized by a terrorist manifesto, and TikTok’s critics arguing it was evidence that the app, owned by the Chinese tech giant ByteDance, had been secretly boosting propaganda to a captive audience of American youth.
But the letter’s spread also reflected the bedeviling realities of modern social media, where young people — many of whom were born after 9/11 — share and receive information on fast-paced smartphone apps designed to make videos go viral, regardless of their content.
It also showed how efforts to suppress such information can backfire. Many of the videos on TikTok were posted after the British newspaper the Guardian, which had hosted a copy of bin Laden’s letter, removed it. Some TikTokers said the removal was proof of the letter’s wisdom and importance, leading them to further amplify it as a result.
“Don’t turn the long-public ravings of a terrorist into forbidden knowledge, something people feel excited to go rediscover,” Renee DiResta, a research manager at the Stanford internet Observatory who has advised Congress on online disinformation, wrote Thursday in a post on Threads. “Let people read the murderer’s demands — this is the man some TikTok fools chose to glorify. Add more context.”
TikTok spokesman Alex Haurek said Thursday that the company was “proactively and aggressively” removing videos promoting the letter for violating the company’s rules on “supporting any form of terrorism” and said it was “investigating” how the videos got onto its platform.
Haurek said that the #lettertoamerica hashtag had been attached to 274 videos that had garnered 1.8 million views on Tuesday and Wednesday, before “the tweets and media coverage drove people to the hashtag.” Other hashtags, for comparison, dwarfed discussion of the letter on the platform: During a recent 24-hour period, #travel videos had 137 million views, #skincare videos had 252 million views and #anime videos had 611 million views, Haurek said.
Ali said he made the compilation video Wednesday after seeing “thousands” of the videos and intentionally left out the “most incendiary examples” because he didn’t want the compilation to be removed from Instagram, where he also posted it.
He agreed the hashtag had never trended on TikTok but disputed the idea that the number of videos posted there had been “small,” saying, “Sure, in the context of a global platform. But not small enough to be minuscule or not important.”
Most of the videos have since been removed by TikTok, making it difficult to get a full tally. But a search for the letter Thursday morning by a Washington Post reporter revealed around 700 TikTok videos, only a few of which got more than 1 million views.
Such high view counts are common on TikTok, where videos are served up in rapid fashion and the average U.S. user watches for more than an hour a day. One viral video last month, in which a young woman discussed the pain of a 9-to-5 job, has more than 3 million views and 280,000 likes.
The videos featured many people saying they’d known little about bin Laden and were questioning what they’d been taught about American involvement around the world. Some said they were “trying to go back to life as normal” after reading it; in one video, a user scrolled through the full letter and said, “We’ve been lied to our entire lives.”
But while many pointed to bin Laden’s comments on the Palestinian issue, few highlighted the letter’s more extreme criticism of Western “immorality and debauchery,” including “acts of fornication, homosexuality, intoxicants, gambling and trading with interest.”
Many commenters also criticized giving the letter attention or worked to remind people that bin Laden had preached an antisemitic, sexist ideology that led to thousands of deaths. On the “_monix2” video, one commenter said, “You guys Bin Laden wrote this. Do y’all know what he did. What is wrong with y’all [oh my God. I guess] we’re supporting terrorism these days.” (Attempts to reach the @_monix2 account were unsuccessful.)
Charlie Winter, a specialist in Islamist militant affairs and director of research at the intelligence platform ExTrac, said in an interview Thursday that he was “frankly really quite surprised at the response” to the letter, which he described as “a kind of core doctrinal text” for both al-Qaeda and the Islamic State terrorist group.
In addition to long-standing grievances, the letter contains “blatant language that is clearly calling for acts of genocide … [and] for killing noncombatants in any nation that is democratic and is fighting against a Muslim-majority state,” he said.
“It’s not the letter that is going viral. It’s a selective reading of parts of the letter that’s going viral,” he said. “And I don’t know whether it’s because people aren’t actually reading it or, when they’re reading it, they’re reading the bits that they want to see.”
The letter’s spread online was celebrated Thursday by users on al-Qaeda forums, according to SITE Intelligence Group, which tracks online extremism. One user Thursday wrote that Islamist militants should capitalize on the opportunity, saying, “I hope you all are seeing ongoing storm on Social Media. … We should post more and more content.”
Some of the TikTok creators who shared the letter posted follow-up videos saying they did not support terrorism or violence. One of the first TikTok creators to share it, and who spoke to The Post on the condition that her name not be included in the story, said she had encouraged people to read it for “educational purposes.”
She said she did not “condone nor justify” bin Laden’s actions and was “distancing [herself] from this entire situation.” “It’s a sad world if we cannot even read a public document, simply to educate ourselves, without being smeared online,” she said.
TikTok has faced criticism and calls for a nationwide ban due to the popularity of pro-Palestinian videos on the app compared with pro-Israel content, even though Facebook and Instagram show a similar gap. In a video call organized by TikTok on Wednesday, first reported by the New York Times, some Hollywood actors and TikTok creators pushed company executives to do more to crack down on antisemitic content.
But the idea that the “Letter to America” discussion solely began on TikTok is challenged by Google data, which show that search interest in the “bin Laden letter” began gathering last week, days before it became a topic of TikTok conversation.
And TikTok is far from the only place where the letter has been discussed. Though Instagram blocked searches for some hashtags, some videos related to the letter — including those critical of it — remained publicly viewable Thursday on the Meta-owned app.
On Thursday afternoon, searches for “letter to America” on Instagram were still being given a “Popular” tag. One post, a series of screenshots of the letter, had more than 10,000 likes as of Thursday afternoon.
On Thursday, the letter and bin Laden’s name were also “trending topics” on X, the social network owned by Elon Musk. One tweet there from Wednesday — in which the writer said reading the letter was like feeling a “glass wall shatter,” and asks, “Is this what ex cult members feel like when they become self aware” — remained online Thursday, with nearly 3 million views.
The letter — a nearly 4,000-word translation of the al-Qaeda leader’s comments — had been originally posted in Arabic on a Saudi Arabian website used to disseminate al-Qaeda messages. The Guardian originally published an English translation in 2002 alongside a news article that offered more detail on how it had begun circulating among “British Islamic extremists.”
Though the Guardian removed the letter on Wednesday, its replacement, a page called “Removed: document,” had by Thursday become one of the most-viewed stories on the newspaper’s website. Some TikTokers voiced anger at the newspaper for, in the words of one, “actively censoring” information.
A spokesperson for the Guardian said in a statement that the letter had been removed after it was “widely shared on social media without the full context.”
The editors of the Guardian faced a “no-win scenario” once interest in bin Laden’s letter began to grow, Marco Bastos, a senior lecturer in media and communication at City, University of London, said in a phone interview.
“If they don’t take down the content, the content will be leveraged and it will be discussed, potentially shared and is going to go viral — if not out of context, then certainly outside of the scope of the original piece,” Bastos said. “If they take it down, they’re going to be accused, as they are right now, of censorship.”
At the time of publication, the editors “expected that this letter would be read critically, you know, adversarially … that you would process this within the view — or the bias, if you prefer — of the Western side of the events,” Bastos added. “And now it’s being consumed, distributed and shared to push an agenda that’s precisely the opposite of the one that it was originally intended for.”
Winter, the Islamist militant affairs specialist, said he found it “kind of ironic” that the letter was being shared uncritically around the web.
“People who consider themselves to be critical consumers of mainstream media are consuming this very uncritically and not thinking about the context around it,” he said. “Not thinking about everything that happened just over a year before it was published as well, in any meaningful way.”

DEV04 - Pican'te (trowel pico thoughts)
almost a year ago, amidst bbsprint development and trowel development i have decided to ask my small playerbase about the editor's fate and settled on further expanding the scope of the game's demo and allow people to make their own levels while they wait for the full versions. this would be done through something called "trowel pico", which is a version that is intentionally much more limited than the regular trowel, and is web-based for maximum compatibility (because trowel is a windows app that could probably be compiled to linux and macOS)
the route that leads to me developing trowel pico is a route that would amplify the game's deliverable and development time in general because i would need to juggle some things as well as 2 versions of a program to achieve the same thing with different targets in mind. i however believe it's gonna be worth it.
as it stands right now, trowel pico itself is about 80% feature complete, now reaching feature parity with trowel desktop in many aspects and able to generate a project file (yes, now they export project files by default instead of just the stage) that is cross-compatible with trowel desktop (except you can't load in stages from trowel desktop because i have intentionally added a guard to prevent using stages generated with desktop for the future)
i find that i am making some gui compromises compared to trowel desktop in favor of development speed, but i can't really stop myself from polishing the gui a little bit more adding things i've always wanted to add to a game/editor for game (read: startup screens) and as such, i have reached a milestone by finally being able to implement the startup splash artwork i made a few months ago as well as the startup jingle i made like 2 days ago
have a video.
i do not quite have a release date, because although trowel pico is 80% complete, Scaffold (the online service hosting and serving stage info for the update's plans) still needs to be made and that is its own beast, but at least, i do not have to worry as much about a wildly customizable gui for that one, the bulk of the development there is backend.
i'm thinking of letting people in my server try out trowel pico before anybody else while scaffold is being developed.
now, there's one question i left for last intentionally one may wonder "why did you make these separate projects instead of implementing them in the game itself?"
the reason is that i wanted to challenge myself by making things for one common goal in different toolkits, that's how trowel desktop started, since it's made in monogame
second i wanted to update the editor irrespective of the game, and third, which is trowel pico's reason for existing, is that doing things in web is terrible as it is

I know I’m not totally u-g-l-y but I know that I’m also particularly attractive either, and I think those insecurities are amplified living in a big city when you open the apps™️ and see a grid of ridiculously handsome stylish people (or if it’s sniffles, dozens of 8” dicks and/or perky peach bubble butts) in a 20-minute radius.
There’s also some anxiety around misrepresentation. I’ve had a couple of experiences where guys don’t look like how they represent themselves online. Of course we curate our profiles to be flattering, but I hate hate hate the possibility of meeting up with someone and they feel like they have been deceived.
Bigger picture, popular culture has increasingly yassified itself over the last few decades. In the past you could be a successful actor or musician or author by being great at your craft, now you have to be great at your craft AND top percentile of attraction too.
Obviously a lot of this is subjective, and I think that there are very few ‘ugly’ people in the world, but out of hundreds of people I see during a day, if I were assessing their looks I think it would be a rare case that I consider someone unattractive, and if that did happen then I know my unattractive wouldn’t be the same as other people’s (I know lots of people get funny over larger or uncommonly shaped noses but I think that’s a great feature).
Unfortunately for me this is not just a psychological problem, but when I look in a mirror or try and smile for a photo these neuroses come to the surface and manifest in my physical posture, my expression etc. the photos I like of myself are definitely candid moments a friend has captured while I didn’t know a photo was being taken.
With all that said, I took a dick pic this week and shared with a couple guys (both who I consider way out of my league) and they’re into it. So like St. Moira says: take those noods! We’re all just crazy whores. Get into it!

There is so many call backs and additional scenes from Nakatani-sensei about the circumstance surrounding Kadoc in From Lostbelt ch 24 that I’m going INSANE
(featuring crude translation because I’m still learning and there is also translation app)
CALL BACK IN THE TITLE ITSELF, EVEN THE SAME POSE T_____T (Also the title of ch.1 translated by Amplified in Tumblr/Mangadex is “A Letter from the Permafrost Empire.” Using that take, ch.24 probably would be translated into “At the End of the Permafrost Empire.”)
The chapter is mostly about Kadoc’s courage that always ends with failures, from the Chaldea days, the resurrection, Russia, and then to Olympus. I can feel his desperation and worthlessness.
Akuta getting angry for Kadoc shielding her in the simulation. Now that we know of her true nature, this is pretty heartwarming in hindsight.

Fun kanji trivia that I just found, 足掻いた (verb: 足掻く) means struggling, flounder or striving. The kanji 足 means foot. So it’s clever for Nakatani-sensei to depict it as Kadoc’s footsteps in the snow as he begins to walk again.

I just love that Anastasia pushes him to be better even when his shallow self-confidence goes further south until he’s near dead. Conversely, her feelings for Kadoc is what moves her beyond her hatred, anger and otherwise hollowness, driving her to jump in front of a gun, the very thing that killed her, in order to protect him. Rasputin is right, they complement each other.
Back in Chaldea, da Vinci once said that just like Berserker, Caster is also difficult to manage, just in a different way. In the present, da Vinci-chan correctly notes that Kadoc manages to have a good relationship with Anastasia, his Caster. And isn’t that a good result?
