Offering candles to Amphitrite, queen of the sea, protecter of sailors and marine life. She is wife to Poseidon and mother to several sea deities such as Triton.
In ancient texts, such as Homer's The Odyssey, he describes Amphitrite as an independent spirit who beats the billows against the rocks and breeds terrifying sea monsters.

Σχετικά με μένα!
{About Me! - Greek; Credits To @The-Aesthetics-Shop for the Dividers <33}
Χαίρετε! My name is Neptune, I am an older minor, and I am the main Host of the Digital Temple of Deified Heroes! I'm quite new with this gig--worshipping the Deities--so please be a little kind & lenient to my mistakes--I've already made many of them and will make many more as I learn about this side of History :)).
This is a religious blog dedicated to my spiritual beliefs; not roleplay or fandom.
Anyway, more on about me since The Blog will always be addressed everywhere else. My name is Camila or Neptune--I typically use Camila on Tumblr and Neptune on Discord, so it's however you know me best for it--, my pronouns are male-leaning--aka either He/They, He/Him, They/He, or He/It--, and I worship Lord Perseus, Lady Aphrodite, and Lady Amphitrite although I am welcome to everyone else, should they decide to ever stop by for a conversation :)). I have been in contact/aware of Greek Mythology for over 8 years, although I have strayed away from Rick Riordan recently because of... many reasons. I hold no Alters for the Gods/My Deities other than this Temple because I do not personally like it for me; instead I Write in Honor of Them, and so you might see many of my thoughts/excerpts/book ideas spread throughout this blog so watch out for my crazy ideas!
*This user is learning Greek but currently uses Google Translate because they are not fluent yet, so please excuse the maybe horrendous usage of it, I can only truly just squint at the wording with suspicion and not create it or correct it yet :)).

Hey lovely Devotees! How would you feel about a dedicated temple on discord where we can all chat face to face, receive rune readings (oracle and tarot coming in the future!), and more!! I plan to celebrate and honor all theoi, of course, but mainly the ones related to the ocean like Poseidon, Amphitrite, Aphrodite, etc! (Others can be made upon request as i am sure there are lots more)
I feel like there are a lot of non-centric temples so I want to keep this one a bit focused, and maybe partner with other trusted servers. If you'd wanna join, please let me know as this is basically an interest check! So like or comment, whichever one!

I really want Aphrodite devotee friends. Or other helpol friends. Just people who get worshipping these deities that aren’t “mainstream”. That’s such a dumb way to put it but idk how else to LOL. I love my friends I have right now dearly but none of them are helpol so I can’t really connect with them on that level ya know?
Anyway. Reach out in DMs if you’d like to be friends :3 no minors 🔞
A little about me so you can decide if you’d even want to be my friend: I loooooove the ocean 🌊 totally scared of it tho. I only barely go in LOL. You won’t catch me riptides 😤 I love animals. I’m not a fan of the government and I think both choices for new prez are both terrible. Idk what my political party is but it’s probably close to socialism and communism. I’d like to retire on a farm and start a homestead with my bestie and our future families. I have a huge crush on someone for the past year and I’m trying to manifest a chance with them. I’m super loyal. I’m very self aware. I’m chronically tired so I lay down a lot. I am interested in working with other deities but I’m not sure who yet. I prefer to work with femme or gender fluid deities. I worked with Loki, Lady Amphitrite, Persephone and Artemis for while in the past.

Kόρακας Kοράκου Mάτι Δε Βγάζει
Greek Proverb | "The crow does not take the eye out of another crow."
[Credits Unknown, Found Via "Mount Olympus Aesthetic Board Gold" Search]
How do cults form?
No, seriously. How do movements that cause so much damage come to exist?
Is it because of the promises they can make? Is it because of the collective individual misfortune and despair? Is it because of the innate human gullibility when one is approached with a being higher than themselves? Is it because of human curiosity that pulls us too far from the edge and now there are no handholds to pull ourselves up?
Is the destruction it brings the burden of the master or the servants?
[Or, as world events rise and humanity starts to destroy itself, a new power arises to "help" them. One man promises millions the ability to restore peace and prosperity. But, he is messing with powers far beyond what he could even start to comprehend. It is now up to three Pagan young-adults descended from the Greek Pantheon in three separate ways to juggle between the lines of myth and man, humanity and society, and collect the power and support of their ancestors to defeat this man once and for all before he could become a full god and make a mistake forever irrepleviable. All the while trying to avoid the wrath of millions of humans who believe they themselves are wrong...]
What is Paganism? [Wikipedia]
"Paganism," derived from the Latin root pāgānus, meaning "rural"/"rustic"/"civilian", is the belief in a religion/spiritual identity outside of Christianity + its facets. It was originally coined towards the end of the Roman Empire after the rise of Christianity when people were still worshipping the "old gods" and things outside the norm--including the Roman Gods. The word fell out of usage around the Middle Ages in Europe but is now used once again to a degree similar to what it once was created as.
Nowadays, "Pagans"--or "Polytheists" for those who also believe in multiple gods/religions--can be found in multiple forms: from those who worship Hellenic [Greek] Mythology, to Norse Mythology, to those who worship Nature as Spirits or as an entity Itself. They can be "witches," or "wizards," they can "look the part" or they could blend in between the walls of society. Some can even worship the Christian Religion to some extent, if they find peace within God or the Gospels. Deep down, to the roots, Paganism is the same as any other religion: the belief and comfort of something Else.
Good places to find out more about Paganism as it applies to the day-to-day person and society as a whole would could be: @within-the-water [a temple dedicated to Lord Poseidon, the Greek God and King of the Seas; this--especially on discord--is where I first started learning about paganism, polytheism, and the Hellenic comforts/practices (though be mindful that I started out an interest within the Oceans themselves, so the "helpfulness" may vary depending on your values, but it is a great start)], @hyakinthou-naos [a temple dedicated to Lord Hyakinthos, the mortal lover of Lord Apollo who was killed and turned into the purple flower we know today; they have a lot of great resources concerning the technical terms, formalities, specifics, and anything you might need to know about Paganism itself]. On their pages should be a list of the other Temples & shrines around for specific Deities that you can learn more about if you are interested or would rather learn a specific way <3.
[I am also always here to be asked more about this, as I myself am a Devotee of Lady Aphrodite, Lady Amphitrite, and Lord Perseus and I have "connections" among the others around here to ask if I don't know either <33]

People who got tattoos to honor your gods, how did you choose??
I want to get a few to honor mine, but I’m not sure where to start. I’m devoted to Aphrodite, Hermes, Hecate, and Amphitrite. I have an appointment in March and I have no ideas.
I’ll happily accept any ideas or inspiration. I obviously want something unique but I don’t know how to start. Help???

Just sea witch things
Me, just now, freaking out about the fact that my friend and I are trying to study abroad in London next year and take a trip to Athens while we’re there.
If I bring good jars I could get sand/shells/etc from the beach of Athens and water from the Aegean Sea.
As a devotee of Amphitrite and Poseidon (Greek god and goddess of the sea), this is EXTREMELY, extremely exciting.

Lady Amphitrite is so wonderful
I see her in the gentle waves that embrace the shore, as well as the storms out on the open sea
I see her in the smallest of fish, and the largest of whales
I see her in the beautiful coral reefs, and I see her in the darkest trenches of the sea
Her voice can be heard in the sound of waves crashing against the shore, and in the beautiful songs of whales
Every creature in the ocean, whether gentle and beautiful or fierce and deadly, are her children
She is the mighty goddess of the sea
She is the mother of all sea life

Penelope Smith
Daughter of Oceanus| Devotee of Lady Amphitrite | Attendant Of Lord Zeus
[Moodboard Created By Me | Images All Found On Bing]
Name: Penelope Smith
Penelope - "Weaver"/Namesake of Penelope of Ithaca
Smith - Common American Last Name; Associated With Blacksmiths, Armorsmiths, and similar workers.
Parentage: Daughter of Oceanus; Pagan Father
Pronouns: She/Her in the Nonbinary Sense
Age: 19
↳ My purpose will always be to The Gods. They are my strengths, as well as my weaknesses, and I am okay with that. Go ahead, use Them against me. I dare you.
Ethnicity: African-American
Backstory:
Penelope Smith was born to an African American Pagan Father deep down in the American South who was adopted by a rich, white, Christian family. Deep down, they still loved the one who did not look their own, but each day they spent trying to convert him and Penelope to their ideals. Her Grandmother spoke Christian stories to her each night at bedtime and for the longest of times, Penelope saw nothing wrong with it. She enjoyed the stories, sure, but they were no different than "fairy-tales," but eventually saw how angry they seemed to get at her for not being "inspired" by such tales and took it out on her father to his very grave. From then, she was forced to pray every minute with them--which she did not mind, the monotone and Higher Purpose calmed something in her--but she never found herself truly believing in what she was talking to. Eventually, while her father was alive, she started school on Olympus and learned about the Greek Gods and she hasn't truly looked back since. She is still a highly religious Woman, though, so she participates in her family's lives as avidly as she can, which sates them just a little bit.
Powers: Tarot Cards; The Power of Oceanus, Demi-Titan Strength
Weapons: Tarot Cards; Bow & Arrow
Characters That Inspired My Creation Of Her: Annabeth Chase, Rogue, Tim Bradford, Lucy Chen, Sky Tate
Likes: Allowing Herself To Be Angry [Hello Anger Issues]; Being Challenged; Playing Board Games [She Likes To Play With Her Food /j]; Her Fiancé [Michael. He The Greenest Of Flags <33]; Horse-Riding; Teaching
Dislikes: The Effects Of Her Anger Issues [Thanks, Reality...]; Anti-Zeus Rhetoric [That Is Her King.]; Anti-Hellenic Gods Rhetoric [Annoying. Simply Annoying]; Politics [She Was Born & Lives In Texas]
Enemies: "The Gatsby"
Fun Facts:
Penelope's Fiancé's name is Michael and they've been together for around 8 years now--when Michael first asked her to dance in middle school a few years after her dad died--. People either thought they were going to last or crash and burn, but they did neither and grew to be stronger people together. Michael didn't even mind her altars and Paganism--all he did was smile awkwardly and skirt around it as not to disturb it because he himself knew what it was like to love God and would hate his own things to be disturbed. Eventually, he went on a deep-dive to learn about the specifics but that was really solidified their relationship--his openness and willingness to learn more about Penelope to make it work. Penelope already had the habits of easily accommodating for people, and so they fell into easy steps as she moved easily to accommodate for him as soon as he entered and he rambled off about his day as soon as she was in earshot. They the cutest thing [he even learned how to Offer something and asked Lord Zeus, Lord Poseidon, & Lady Amphitrite for her hand in marriage!! So cute-]
Penelope's main strength is her ability to keep things up for hours on end. She can sit still for hours--blame Texas--and ride a horse for even longer. She can study for hours on end and write for days. She just has this ability to turn her brain all the way off and let time roll off of her in waves (heh? get it-) and it makes very few things become chores. And, she's just Used to it. The mode itself has always been there--especially since she was always a silent and observant kid--but it took a few years to harness it and be able to turn it on instead of the overwhelming anger that was her other automatic move.
Penelope is also very prone to overstimulation, which is a main trigger of her anger issues along with the lack of control that came with her fathers' situation + death. She's gotten used to handling it, but as soon as something starts, things just don't stop. And hell hath no fury than a southern black woman scorned. She doesn't like the fact that she has to do "damage control," hold back her anger, or even have to deal with it in general, but she begrudgingly gets it with the stern look of her Patrons.
Penelope is one of the main "Counselors" upon Olympus for both the Summer and various sports. Since there are quite a few kids who do not have families to return to or support to live with, Olympus hosts them year-round and so the older Demigods & Worshippers [some of whom are completely mortal & are invited upon Olympus under special/specific circumstances] put it upon themselves to host little mini-"camps" like mortals have on earth to both teach and entertain the little hellions. And Penelope teaches both Archery, Horse-Riding, and hosts Quiet/Study Sessions for them to attend if they just need something to quell their minds. She's highly adored among the kids--no matter her preference for silence and general stand-off demeanor she gets outside of her Worship--especially because they know she will defend them to high or hell water if anything happens to them. She's reprimanded gods to save "her kids" and has the backing of Lord Zeus at her disposal--the world truly is her oyster and everyone but Penelope knows that.
She's studying Marine Microbiology to help combat the pollution crisis plaguing the Oceans!
