Offering candles to Amphitrite, queen of the sea, protecter of sailors and marine life. She is wife to Poseidon and mother to several sea deities such as Triton.

In ancient texts, such as Homer's The Odyssey, he describes Amphitrite as an independent spirit who beats the billows against the rocks and breeds terrifying sea monsters.

Hey lovely Devotees! How would you feel about a dedicated temple on discord where we can all chat face to face, receive rune readings (oracle and tarot coming in the future!), and more!! I plan to celebrate and honor all theoi, of course, but mainly the ones related to the ocean like Poseidon, Amphitrite, Aphrodite, etc! (Others can be made upon request as i am sure there are lots more)

I’m super loyal. I’m very self aware. I’m chronically tired so I lay down a lot. I am interested in working with other deities but I’m not sure who yet. People who got tattoos to honor your gods, how did you choose??

I want to get a few to honor mine, but I’m not sure where to start. I’m devoted to Aphrodite, Hermes, Hecate, and Amphitrite. I have an appointment in March and I have no ideas. 

I’ll happily accept any ideas or inspiration. I obviously want something unique but I don’t know how to start. Help???

Just sea witch things

Me, just now, freaking out about the fact that my friend and I are trying to study abroad in London next year and take a trip to Athens while we’re there.

If I bring good jars I could get sand/shells/etc from the beach of Athens and water from the Aegean Sea.

As a devotee of Amphitrite and Poseidon (Greek god and goddess of the sea), this is EXTREMELY, extremely exciting.

this is a list of small devotional acts to honor/bond with amphitrite, nereid/goddess of the sea and wife of poseidon.

➣ care for a pet fish

➣ go swimming

➣ incorporate ocean imagery into your daily life

➣ buy/collect seashells

➣ use seashells in your craft

➣ use crystals associated with water

➣ set up a birdbath in your yard

➣ drink more water

➣ use hydrating products on your face and body

➣ watch documentaries on/learn about marine life

➣ burn ocean-associated incense and candles

➣ clean up the beaches near you

➣ donate to an organization dedicated to keeping the oceans clean

➣ contribute by using metal straws and limiting single use plastics like water bottles, etc

➣ visit an aquarium (ONLY IF IT IS A HUMANE AQUARIUM)

➣ use ocean-associated products (like sea salt spray in your hair)

Lady Amphitrite is so wonderful

I see her in the gentle waves that embrace the shore, as well as the storms out on the open sea

I see her in the smallest of fish, and the largest of whales

I see her in the beautiful coral reefs, and I see her in the darkest trenches of the sea

Her voice can be heard in the sound of waves crashing against the shore, and in the beautiful songs of whales

Every creature in the ocean, whether gentle and beautiful or fierce and deadly, are her children

She is the mighty goddess of the sea

She is the mother of all sea life

🔱🐚Poseidon & Amphitrite Worship🐚🔱

Hi lovelies!

So as you may (or may not) know, I worship quite a few different deities (gods) and I want to make a blog about two specific deities that I worship. Which are Poseidon Greek god of the sea, earthquakes and horses, and Amphitrite Greek goddess of the sea, Poseidon's wife and one of the Nereids.

So first I'll start with devotions, this does not apply to everyone if you just want to do a more 'casual' worship I will include that in the next section.

Devotional acts.

Poseidon/Ποσειδων:

Vailing (Covering your hair out of respect)

Khernips or Cleanse scared space for him.

Water meditation, put your feet or hands in a body of water and ground yourself.

Scared prayers dedicated to him specifically.

Give him offerings of seafood, water, wine, olives etc.

Amphitrite/Αμφιτριτη:

Vailing (Covering your hair out of respect)

Khernips or Cleanse scared space for her.

Water meditation, put your feet or hands into a body of water and ground yourself.

Scared prayers specifically for her.

Give her offerings of seafood, water, olives, wine etc.

Cleanse your feet and hands with sea salt or cocoa and vanilla body butter before prayers.

Casual Worship.

Poseidon/Ποσειδων:

Prayers on the beach

Thank him for the ocean and his creatures.

If you are equestrian or own horses, make sure to take care of them as much as you can and dedicate each ride to him.

Draw his symbol of a trident into the sand for the waves to take with them.

Eat seafood and dedicate that meal to him, if you are vegetarian or vegan, a plate of olives and other Mediterranean fruits and vegetables can be just as good.

Go on boat rides or fishing and dedicate the journey to him.

Amphitrite/Αμφιτριτη:

Prayers on the beach

Making shell necklaces, crowns, bracelets and ankle bracelets and dedicating them to her.

Eat seafood and if you are vegetarian or vegan an alternative is Mediterranean vegetables and fruits.

If you look after fish of any kind make sure they are well cared for.

Cleanse yourself in sea salts

Drawing symbols of fish, dolphins and seals into the sand.

Explore rock pools (safely and responsibly)

Thank her for the sea creatures.
