This isn’t an exhaustive list, but I’ve run into some of these organizations as places to donate, and it's fine for my followers to share other lists that have gone around. (I'm not going to be offended.) This is version three with some organizations that include long-term goals of Israeli-Palestinian cooperation and peace in addition to the initial organizations offering emergency aid. Organizations are listed alphabetically.
Alliance for Middle East Peace
ALLMEP is a coalition of over 160 organizations—and hundreds of thousands of Palestinians and Israelis—building cooperation, justice, equality, shared society, mutual understanding, and peace among their communities. We add stability in times of crisis, foster cooperation that increases impact, and build an environment conducive to peace over the long term. (Even if you're not really keen on supporting AllMEP itself, searching Member Organizations may also be a way to find organizations based on sectors - environment, women, youth, etc. - or type - Palestinian, Cross Border, or Shared Society.)
American Friends of Magen David Adom
The most common way I’ve seen recommendations for USAmericans to donate to Magen David Adom. (Additional Friends Societies are on Magen David Adom’s site for other countries.)
As a fully-fledged member of the International Red Cross / Red Crescent, Magen David Adom serves as the Israeli Red Cross organization.
Anera
Anera, which has no political or religious affiliation, works on the ground with partners in Palestine (West Bank and Gaza), Lebanon and Jordan. We mobilize resources for immediate emergency relief and for sustainable, long-term health, education, and economic development. Our staff serve in their communities, navigating the politics that constrict progress to get help where it’s needed most.
A Land For All
A Land for All is a shared movement of Israelis and Palestinians who believe that the way towards peace, security and stability for all passes through two independent states, Israel and Palestine, within a joint framework allowing both peoples to live together and apart.
Doctors Without Border/Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF)
An independent organization “focused on delivering emergency medical humanitarian aid quickly, effectively, and impartially.” This link goes to the Palestinian Territories section.
Friends of Roots
We are a network of local Palestinians and Israelis [in the West Bank] who have come to see each other as the partners we both need to make changes to end our conflict. Based on a mutual recognition of each People's connection to the Land, we are developing understanding and solidarity despite our ideological differences. Ongoing Initiatives include interreligious exchange, a women's group, partnership lectures, a children's summer camp, youth group, after school program, incident response team, and community de-escalators.
Hand in Hand
Hand in Hand is building inclusion and equality between Arab and Jewish citizens of Israel through a growing network of bilingual, integrated schools and communities. [...] The curricula in Hand in Hand’s schools are based on values that reflect both cultures and languages, oriented in multiculturalism and shared and equal citizenship. In our bilingual educational model, Hebrew and Arabic have equal status, as do both cultures and national narratives. Our thousands-strong adult community members come together year-round in celebration, solidarity, and dialogue. These community activities are geared towards parents, staff, and other active citizens who are interested in taking part in a shared community. We believe it is not apt to place the burden of creating a shared future on the shoulders of our children. We, the adults, must lead the way. These community activities are an inseparable part of our work towards building a shared society.
MAUSA - Muslim Aid USA
An international charity that provides assistance from natural disasters and conflict. They have a specific Palestine Emergency page.
Mrs Najah’s Kitchen
Emergency food relief in Gaza.
Off The Grid Missions
Off-The-Grid Missions (OTG) is a global humanitarian aid organization filling the gap in disaster-response by providing Deaf and Hard-of-Hearing people with critical life-saving resources in high-risk and disaster-stricken regions around the world.
Depending on the mission, aid can include assistance with evacuations, providing food, solar lighting and emergency electric sources, and assisting with alternatives to sound based warning systems. (Assistance with Deaf and Hard-of-hearing individuals in Palestine and Israel has been mentioned on quickly updated social media sites, like Facebook.)
Palestine Red Crescent Society
The Palestine Red Crescent Society (PRCS) is an officially recognized independent Palestinian National Society. It is part of the International Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement.
Standing Together
Standing Together is a grassroots movement mobilizing Jewish and Palestinian citizens of Israel in pursuit of peace, equality, and social and climate justice. We organize protests across the country demanding economic equality, climate justice, and an end to the occupation. We hold workshops on grassroots power, organize get-out-the-vote campaigns, and run candidates for student union elections [related to university chapters]. Our alternative media outlet, Rosa Media, produces Hebrew and Arabic podcasts highlighting underrepresented political stories and perspectives from across Israeli society. We maintain a robust presence in Israeli social media – combatting extremist voices and advancing hope.
Women Wage Peace
Women Wage Peace is a broad, politically unaffiliated movement, which is acting to prevent the next war and to promote a non-violent, respectful, and mutually accepted solution to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, with the active participation of women through all stages of negotiations.
World Central Kitchen
World Central Kitchen is first to the frontlines, providing meals in response to humanitarian, climate, and community crises.
They have response teams and partners in Gaza, Israel, Lebanon, and Egypt.

Palestine Red Crescent Society: Arabic equivalent of The Red Cross
American Friends of Magen David Adom
American Friends of Magen David Adom (Red Star of David) supports Israel’s primary ambulance, blood-services and disaster-relief organization. When tragedy strikes in Israel, Magen David Adom (MDA) is often on the frontlines helping victims receive proper medical care. MDA also provides first-responder medical training to approximately 90,000 people each year throughout Israel. It is a non-government organization that works in association with the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent
The International Committee of the Red Cross
The International Committee of the Red Cross is working with both the Magen David Adom (Red Star of David) and the Palestine Red Crescent Society to promote the welfare and safety of the wounded in Israel, Gaza and the West Bank.
Palestine Children’s Relief Fund
Palestine Children’s Relief Fund (PCRF) is a U.S.-based nonprofit organization that sponsors volunteer medical teams to treat sick and injured Palestinian children in the West Bank and Gaza. It also brings children to the US for free medical care they could not receive locally. The group has built two pediatric cancer departments in Gaza and the West Bank and has treated tens of thousands of youth.
Instead of making posts about what people halfway across the world should do on a dying website, I'm going to link to organizations that you can donate to that can actually help.
Medical Aid for Palestinians (MAP) works for the health and dignity of Palestinians living under occupation and as refugees. They provide immediate medical aid to those in great need, while also developing local capacity and skills to ensure the long-term development of the Palestinian healthcare system.
Addameer Prisoner Support and Human Rights Association is a Palestinian non-governmental civil institution that works to support Palestinian political prisoners held in Israeli and Palestinian prisons.
Samidoun is an international network of organizers and activists working to build solidarity with Palestinian prisoners in their struggle for freedom.
Refuser Solidarity Network provides crucial support to Israel's military refusers in the toughest of political circumstances. They provide funds for for demonstrations outside prison, for legal fees, for media campaigns that tell conscientious objector’s stories to the general public, for education programs for Israeli and American audiences about their important resistance to the occupation.
Feel free to reblog with links to other groups and other places people can donate to.

Want me to give my opinion on Israel/Palestine? Want me to use my platform to tell you who is a lamentable byproduct of uncouth liberation tactics and whose loss is a tragedy that must be retroactively defended at all costs? I don’t want to tell you :) but if you donate 20$ to one of the following I will tell you one (1) opinion that I currently hold of my choosing (at the time of telling) on the topic

But What About the Palestinians?
This morning I received a robo-call from the Rehovot city government to tell me that, as a senior citizen, if I had trouble getting an appointment for my Coronavirus vaccination, they would help me, and here is how to contact them. I remembered that some months ago I got a call from a human social worker employed by the city, who wanted to know how I was, how we were getting our food (this was during our first full lockdown), did we have local family to help us out, and so on.
I’ve had my differences with the city from time to time, but I am really impressed by this. They are using our tax money (Israelis pay local taxes based on the size of their homes and other factors) to provide services to the citizens! I realized how little I’ve come to expect from government, so this seemed like a big deal to me. But it’s still remarkable that they have programs in place to help those of us who are no longer “productive citizens” in an economic sense.
And then there is the vaccination program itself. The State of Israel paid a premium price for vaccines, and set up a system to distribute them. The logistics are complicated because the Pfizer vaccine, the first to arrive here, must be kept at -70 degrees C (-94 F) and then used within several hours of being warmed. As of Tuesday, 1,700,000 Israelis had received their first vaccination, including my wife and me.
We went to the designated location, where the four HMOs that all Israelis belong to had set up stations to give vaccinations; waited only a few minutes in an open area, and received our shots (for those who speak British, “jabs”). Information was immediately entered into the nationwide computer networks of the HMOs, and our appointments for the second dose set. This was much more efficient than anything I have ever experienced in any bureaucratic setting either here or in the US, even in the IDF.
Of course Bibi is taking credit for the whole thing, as our next expensive, unnecessary election approaches. But in truth he does deserve credit for making the deals with the pharmaceutical corporations that got us large quantities of vaccine early, even while the HMOs put together the system which is expected to vaccinate the entire population by the end of March.
So this morning I have a feeling that this country cares about me, and about the rest of its citizens. The institutions like the national and local governments and the HMOs are doing their jobs, at least in this connection. They government has not done so well in managing the lockdowns, especially the last, partial one, which seems to have hurt small businesses badly while doing little to slow the spread of the virus. There are plenty of other things to criticize, but still, I am proud of my country.
But the response of the world media to Israel’s relative success in fighting the epidemic has been more hostile than anything I recall since the last time Israel was forced to defend herself against deadly rocket attacks from Gaza. “What about the Palestinians,” they screamed. Why aren’t we vaccinating them, too? “It’s because Israel is an apartheid state!”
The accusation is everywhere, in mainstream and social media, from the human rights organizations, and even from Jewish groups like J Street.
And it’s nonsense. First, Arab and Jewish Israelis, as well as Palestinian residents of Jerusalem are treated precisely the same. Second, the PA and Hamas are responsible under international law for vaccinating their citizens. The PA has said they have ordered vaccines from several manufacturers and are awaiting their arrival. Israel has promised to give surplus vaccine to the PA after our campaign is over. Israel’s public broadcaster KAN reports that Israel already gave the Palestinian Authority some 100 doses of the vaccine for “hardship cases” (probably the big shots in the PA). And the blogger Elder of Ziyon has debunked some of the accusations against Israel made by “human rights” NGOs here and here.
One of Israel’s greatest national concerns is the question of how it can become a better state, one that better performs the basic function of a state, to protect its citizens against man-made and natural dangers, and to provide economic and cultural opportunities for them. This is the purpose of our health care system, the IDF, and our Knesset, judicial system, central bank, and so forth. Although there is a certain amount of corruption it is incidental to the functioning of the overall state.
The vaccination project has been a positive force in our lives, illustrating that we need not always be passive and accept the blows that fall on us. And it shows that our big institutions (the HMOs are independent organizations, but closely controlled by the Health Ministry) can work smoothly when they have to.
The Palestinian Authority and Hamas are entirely different. Although they have government ministries, a health-care system, and many other services, they do not exist to protect their people and enable them to fulfill their economic and cultural potential. They have two functions alone: to enrich those Palestinians who are “connected,” and to fight the war against Israel with which they are obsessed. Corruption is essential, not incidental. Funds that don’t go into the pockets of the rulers go to prepare for war or to pay the soldiers. Palestinians know this and hate their rulers, but there is little they can do because the dictatorships under which they live don’t hesitate to use force against them. And in many cases, they are also slaves to their obsessive hatred of Israel.
Palestinian governments continue to encourage, pay for, and perpetrate terrorism against Israel, while “ordinary Palestinians” throw rocks at cars containing Jews, a pastime that has caused several deaths and countless serious injuries. A few weeks ago, an “ordinary Palestinian” viciously beat an innocent woman to death. Right now the concern in Ramallah is not how to vaccinate millions of Palestinians, but rather how to ensure that terrorists will continue to get paid despite Israeli restrictions on Palestinian banks.
Israel struggles to be better. Palestinians struggle to be worse. And yet, which side do the media, the Jewish Left, and the human rights industry take?
*** Sheldon Adelson died on Tuesday. He was one of Israel’s greatest supporters. He loved this country, and contributed massive amounts of his own money to make it better and to help improve its relationship with the diaspora, including hundreds of millions of dollars to Birthright, which has probably done more to counteract the hate campaign against Israel in the universities than all other PR initiatives put together. He also gave large sums to AIPAC, the Friends of the Israel Defense Forces, Yad Vashem, and the Israeli-American Council. He and his Israeli-born wife, Miri, were the major donors to a new medical school at Ariel University. He donated several Magen David Adom ambulances and mobile ICU vehicles, including some that were armored to protect them against terrorist attacks. He started the free newspaper Israel Hayom (Israel Today), which is today the paper with the largest circulation in the country, shattering the almost total monopoly on news media in Israel held by the Left. His influence on Donald Trump was partly responsible for Trump’s pro-Israel policies.
Miri Adelson will certainly continue his philanthropy, but the Jewish people and the State of Israel have lost a friend who won’t easily be replaced. BDE.

6 Modern Countries With Shockingly Backwards Views
Racism and prejudice are as American as apple pie and mass shootings. We like to think that some of those foreign countries we incessantly make fun of might be more refined neighbourhoods. What could possibly be wrong with a nation that yields its citizens universal healthcare and paid parental leave? Well, if you happen to belong to one of the minority groups those countries have arbitrarily chosen to hate, you’re about to find out. 6 In Japan, Some Common Professions Are Goal As Subhuman Garbage collectors are criminally underappreciated everywhere, but Japan takes it to the next position. Sure, you might have a few strong messages if your bin goes skipped, but Japanese sanitation laborers are ostracized simply for subsisting. They — along with other “unclean” works, like butchers and morticians — are categorized as burakumin . Shintoism and Buddhism consider them spiritually tainted, which left them at the bottom of the social totem pole for centuries. They’re sometimes called hinin ( literally “nonhuman” ), and the period for the lowest burakumin , eta , is translated into “abundance of filth.” A 19th-century legal document declares that any eta who committed a crime could be killed freely by samurai, because “an eta is worth one-seventh of an ordinary person.” You ever had someone whip out a calculator and calculate your worth mathematically? It’s hurtful.( We had some harsh math teachers .) Utagawa Kuniyoshi At least the school board took our surface on that “expulsion via samurai” debacle. div > Read Next 6 Things Hollywood Always Gets Wrong About Being A Teenager Despite many attempted alleviates, sexism against burakumin and their descendants persists. Burakumin are shunned by civilization and often forced to live in their own communities, which are inundated with hate forward. Indices of burakumin communities and calls originated circulating in the ‘7 0s and were soon proscribed, but some of those schedules have lived to this day, and people use them to screen everything from possible employees to future in-laws. Hinder in mind, they’re not just checking to see if ( breath ) their daughter is wedding a garbage man. Anyone who has ever been relevant to one is off-limits. That’s about 50 percent of the Japanese population. It’s like an part person of Emily Gilmores. Things are coming a bit better. One high-profile buraku activist does beings are contacting “the organizations activities” about discrimination more, and hate discussion constitutions are starting to be enforced. But to this day, if a buraku is asked what they do for a living, it’s common to lie — not out of pity, but to protect their own children. Nesnad/ Wikimedia Commons Which may have gotten much easier, since one industry is very open to burakumin : the Yakuza. Hug your local sanitation worker. 5 In Germany, Racist Stereotypes of Asians Are( Literally) Reinforced After gale up with some serious egg on its front thanks to that entire Holocaust thing, Germany became a quite progressive place. Today, culture and education is influenced by various categories of all-inclusive programs suited to its multicultural citizenship, about 20 percent of whom are foreign-born. One radical that isn’t quite so well-represented? East Asians. It’s hard to get an accurate count, since about half of Germany’s two million “Asian” citizens are from the Countries of the middle east( which is indeed part of Asia, but still ), but there are at most one million Asian-Germans in a country of 82 million people. Having apparently figured “what they can’t look won’t hurt ’em, ” Germany has become very cool with “re making fun of” Asians. In happening, they give out apportions for it. Exclusively, for this, an ad for a Wagner concert by Japanese conductor Kent Nagano. Scholz& Friends Berlin All the pomp and culture of the concert as reimagined by a morning zoo DJ. div > Yes, that’s Richard Wagner himself reimagined as your least-favorite uncle. This ad would provoke a tsunami of pique in the U.S ., but Germans predominantly didn’t maintenance. The one group of beings that did, a Berlin advertising organization called the Art Directors Club, awarded the ad a gold prize that time. Their spokesman said the ad “[ is] attractiveness and odd and presents openness and multiculturalism, ” and announced it “an excellent posting that goes beyond cultures to constitute a great work and that extremely strikingly and succinctly demonstrates Asian culture.” We’re gonna hazard a guess that the Art Directors Club doesn’t include a lot of Asians. 4 All Jews Are Welcome In Israel( Except Ethiopians ) div> In 1977, Israel decided to bring over 56,000 Jews from Ethiopia, and then gave them like a trendy domesticated that turned out to be more labour than they’d negotiated for. Thirty-five years after they were forced into ghettos and isolated from mainstream Israeli life, numerous canvas experienced Ethiopian Jews were dead last-place on the roster of desirable employees — 75 percent of non-immigrant Israelis wouldn’t allow their children to marry one, and fewer than 50 percentage reinforced mixed classrooms. Oh, and in 2016, Israel’s top police official said that it’s natural for police to be more suspicious of Ethiopian Jews ,~ ATAGEND as their “community is statistically involved in atrocity more than others.” Sound familiar? div > In 1996, it was discovered that all the blood Ethiopian Jews bequeathed to Magen David Adom( Israel’s equivalent of the Red Cross) was calmly destroyed ,~ ATAGEND for fear of HIV infection. Blood donation has been a hot-button issue for Ethiopian Jews ever since. They were only granted permission to donate blood without restrictions in 2017 . It gets worse. A 2012 film revealed that Ethiopian Jewish gals were forced to make contraceptives if they wanted to keep their healthcare. Some didn’t even know what they were being given. As a reaction, Ethiopian immigrants’ birth rate fell by half in one decade. You’d think that, as a beings, Israelis would be a little less pleasant with the relevant recommendations of eugenics. Benny Voodoo/ Wikimedia Commons Proving once again the almost infinite dominance of humans to not read a damn thing from their experiences. 3 In The UK, Poles Are Viewed As Job-Taking “Vermin” We’ve all heard foolish gags about the Polish for reasonableness we never quite understood, but they’re deadly serious in the UK. A 2014 examine reported that 81 percentage of UK Poles digested physical or oral insult, or knew somebody who had. In 2013, 585 beings were arrested for hate crimes against the Polish. This outburst of antagonism seems to stem from Poland’s entrance into the EU in 2004, after which Poles began immigrating to the UK en masse — though not quite as massively as the tabloids would have you believe. The Sun formerly claimed that an entire Polish metropolitan up and moved to the UK. The metropoli indicted, likely on the grounds that anyone who’s ever been to a city council session knows how hard it is to get an part township to do anything, much less physically uproot. This paranoia about foreign workers infiltrating the country and making everyone’s positions is at least in part what contributed significantly to Brexit. After the vote, laminated placards that speak “Leave the EU/ No more Polish vermin” were found in Cambridgeshire. div > Laminated, “theyre saying”! That means they were super serious . Kathleen Gaynor Youve gotta be genuinely committed to jingoistic hatred to take that shit to a print shop. 2 South Korea Has A Gravely Shambled Up View Of People With Dark Skin Until lately, racism was an tacit way of life in South Korea. Biracial prototypes were called “mongrels, ” the 200,000 children of “marriage migrants” were often treated as second-class citizens, and a scandalou number of businesses can still legally refuse to serve natives. In South Korean media, black people face the same various kinds of stereotypes you’d expect from a Civil-War-era KKK pamphlet. We kid you not TAGEND Via Jezebel American culture exports arent always something to take pride in. div > We’re not plucking obscure content from the ‘7 0s. This was on state-run Tv as of 2017 TAGEND MBC Yeolum Entertainment SBS Entertainment So to recap, thats a shot at black people, Native Americans, and Polynesians in a single outfit. Like a Swiss horde knife of racism. section > Anti-discrimination monies designed to ease the abundant casual racism have recently been introduced, and the person lastly aimed obligatory HIV-screening policy for foreign-born works in 2017. The UN likewise requested that the person stop using prejudiced words like “pure” and “mixed” blood back in 2007. So, you are familiar, that’s something. 1 Concentration Camps Still Exist … For The Roma In Italy The Roma have traditionally not been well-liked by, well, anybody. But they’ve been frighteningly suppressed in Europe, and lately. The Czech Republic forcibly fumigated Roma until 2007, France evicted over 10,000 Roma from their agreements in 2013, Swedish police were found to have a secret register of 4,000( predominantly Roma) refers the same year, and Denmark cleared out 25 Roma tents in 2 months, after making them illegal in 2017. It seems like an unnecessarily large-scale fuss over the working group that doesn’t even crack 2 percent of the European population. div > But that’s all good-for-nothing compared to Italy. In 2008, Silvio Berlusconi’s government declared that the fact that there is Roma colonizations( one one-quarter of a percent of the population) constituted a state of emergency, and henceforth required that all Roma be fingerprinted and ejected from their settlements into “nomad camps.” What do you think the likelihoods are that those tents were in breathtaking Tuscan villas? Surprise: They were filthy, vermin-infested shanties, lacking in even the most basic services. This was -AOK with the person or persons of Italy, 86 percentage of whom have an unfavorable view of Roma ,~ ATAGEND as well as with the courts, who affirmed discrimination against Roma acceptable “because they are thieves.” Again, this seems like a number of countries that should be a bit more attentive of xenophobia-based roundups, but hey, as long as the civilizes run on time. Kent Nagano is really fairly the conductor, give it a listen . i > b> Support Cracked’s journalism with a trip to our Contribution Page. Trump’s Mar-a-Lago Resort Is Losing Events as Organizers Balk at Controversy
U.S. President Donald Trump's Mar-a-Lago estate in Palm Beach, Florida, is losing events business in the wake of the President's remarks about the white supremacist rally and counter protests in Charlottesville. Alex Brandon / Associated Press
Skift Take: While Trump's DC hotel might be benefitting from increased business demand, his Florida estate is losing events following his callous and ignorant remarks about the violence in Charlottesville, Virginia. It's another example that organizations will not hesitate to move meetings and events if venues or hosts conflict with their core values.
— Deanna Ting
A Florida-based zoo and conservation society announced Sunday that it would not hold its annual gala at President Trump’s Florida resort.
The decision by the Palm Beach Zoo & Conservation Society is the latest by a charity to move fundraisers from the Mar-a-Lago resort since Trump made comments about white nationalists last week.
The Cleveland Clinic, the American Cancer Society and the American Friends of Magen David Adom said last week they decided not to hold fundraisers at the Palm Beach, Florida-based resort.
The president has drawn widespread and bipartisan criticism for his comments insisting that “both sides” were to blame for violence at a white nationalist rally in Charlottesville, Virginia.
The zoo said in a statement it didn’t want “distractions” to deter from its mission.
“We have an unyielding commitment to inspire people to act on behalf of wildlife and the natural world,” said Andrew Aiken, the zoo’s CEO and president. “After thoughtful consideration by zoo leadership, we have decided it is important that we not allow distractions to deter us from our mission and culture.”
