I have Gravity Falls and Etc. fic(s) idea(s)

Which, I am going to write now while I am having this fic idea (probably going to be a short one, but in the future I might make a revised expanded version or something. Who knows).

I actually have multiple Gravity Falls and GF TAU and Reverse Falls and etc. stuff that stems from this specific The Book of Bill thing.

Specifically stuff exploring Dipper's nightmares.

(I have some other ideas for the other dreams and/or nightmares too. Sometimes even in relation to Dipper's in some way).

I love my boy, and his nightmares hurt my heart.

But also because I love him, I want to explore even more of issues/trauma/suffering and/or to do Dipper angst. And etc.

Because I want both happiness and/or suffering for my faves/the characters I love very much.

Like Dipper.

So he is going to be getting even more of that from me, probably.

Because he is great and I love him.

Lose former arch nemesis when he gets pulled through a portal to hell

Lose arm in the process

I've really put Mavis through the ringer in this book, and it needs some serious re-writing in it's second draft, but that's essentially all the major plot beats (except the kittens- they're not relevant to the plot, but it's nice to have something that's not doom/gloom/death!)

People like this have made me terrified that I am mischaracterizing my favorite character by playing into his strengths and emphasizing them so much... That I'm making things "too anime", "too over-the-top", and by doing that straying away from the groundedness that made the character compelling in the first place... But I think it's better to be a fan who loves someone so much they're willing to step into goofy over-the-top showcases of strength and morals out of love than being a fake fan who only ever rags on what they proclaim is so dear to them. I dunno. I don't think I'm wrong in saying that. I'm hella insecure when it comes to my own writing, especially with this guy because I want to do him as much justice as I possibly can as a writer. But I have to convince myself that it's not too much.

Are you me??? I literally left a reply on someone's post about wanting to see Lucifer more in season 2 and being scared it's not gonna happen cuz he's so OP and the main character is charlie and she has to solve her own problems

and I just went in with a reply like "OKAY BUT WHAT IF HE GETS TO TRAIN HER???" That solves both problems???? We get to see more of him AND Charlie gets to problem solve without him needing to just OP his way through the story

I am obsessed with how narratively convenient Lark's divinatory abilities are. She's the only one of the protagonists who is both pragmatic and has a working sense of self-preservation, so having some internal impulse that is actually the guiding hand of the cosmos pushing her into doing the REALLY stupid shit is both necessary and really useful.

Like, I am the type of writer who kind of scoffs at the idea that characters are beyond the writer's control and will completely screw over your outline, because on one hand, a sensible outline will follow the characters' personalities and tendencies anyway. Obviously in an ensemble cast you will need to do some wrangling, but in theory your characters are responding to varying degrees of stimuli in order to maneuver them into the places you need them to be for things to all come together in the end.

But more importantly, "curse from god" is the funniest and easiest way to push any character to do things beyond the realm of reason when necessary, and frankly, what the fuck is the point of playing god if you don't embrace that?

my headcanon with charlos is that charles loves when carlos is hairy bc he can rub himself all over him. plus he loves when his hair is longer because it suits him more and he can play with his hair (is this me projecting? possibly.)

The onesie

This was based on my post

Scully with William in tow has decided that she wants do some baby clothes shopping. She parallel parks in front of the store and goes to get the stroller and then William from her SUV.

“Jeremiah was a bullfrog, was a good friend of mine” she sings as she places William in the stroller.

She tucks William in “but I helped him drink his wine” she sings to him before headed towards to store’s entrance.

“Okay I can do this” she says to herself, already feeling the emotions of Mulder missing another moment in their lives.

She strolls through the store, picking up some socks, more bibs, and another baby beanie since cooler weather is approaching. She continues to distract herself from her emotions by continuing to hum the words to Jeremiah was a Bullfrog and then she hits the onesies section.

It's as if it was placed there just for her. The perfect onesies for the baby of Spooky Mulder. Holding back tears, she goes closer towards it. It is the cutest onesie she has ever seen. Baby blue with rockets, planets, stars, and a space satellite.

“Keep it together Dana” she thinks to herself as she takes the onesie off the rack. Her efforts to keep her emotions at bay are futile and she thinks about how Mulder would love it. Tears starts rolling down her cheeks as she realizes Mulder is missing out on another moment.

“William your father would love this” she says choking on tears bent over William’s stroller.

“Okay compose yourself” she thinks to herself as she heads to the checkout.

“Awe this is my favorite onesies” the clerk says as she is folding it up and placing it into a bag. “Yeah mine too” Scully says smiling, trying not to let the clerk see her emotions.

Scully places William in the car and puts the stroller up and heads back home fighting back more tears as she looks at William through the rear view mirror.
