Chapter 8: That’s Not How You Eat a Banana
Hanaka’s freak out caused a whole lot of hassle for her and Tensei. The staff had to go all hands-on deck to keep things peaceful to appease the mother of the twins (aka the school’s biggest donor and contributor). It’s not looking too good for the twins.
-Lunchtime, at school-
“Hey, you girls go ahead” said Hanaka to her friends “I’m just gonna-”
“What’s wrong? Are you feeling sick?” asked Petti “You always want to have lunch.”
“Yeah! I even brought those strawberry Koalas Nya!” Kyanka presented the colorful box of snacks in her paws “Your favorite!”
Hanaka eyed the snacks “Thanks but I’m just not feeling myself today.”
Twinkle gasped “What did that school counselor tell you?!” she furrowed her brow “Because if he said something bad, I’m going to-”
“Guys it’s not what the school counselor said” Hanaka waved her arms to dismiss any escalation of anger “I’ve just doing too much talking to people this week. I need some quiet time with no talking.”
The girls looked at each other with worry, Hanaka was usually the high energy one and seeing her so worn down like this was concerning.
“Okay, you go have your alone time” assured Petti “We’ll see you later.”
The other two nodded, making Hanaka feel a little better.
“Thanks guys” sighed Hanaka in relief “see you later.”
The girls waited for Hanaka to turn the corner that led to the stairs for them to scurry off to the roof top. They sorta had the same idea to spy from afar to make sure their friend was okay. The girls have been worried about Hanaka since the freak out a few days ago and wished they could do more to help.
“Nya! Good thing I got my multi-use googles today!” Kyanka said as they pulled out her support tool out of her bag “Could use the practice before the license exam.”
“Girl isn’t that after the training camp?” Twinkle asked as she tried to scope out Hanaka in the courtyard.
“Wait, didn’t sensei say that was pushed for after the licensing?” Petti was trying to recall “No wait, that doesn’t make sense.”
The girls were trying to remember meanwhile Hanaka strolled near the mindfulness garden. She really hasn’t had the chance to see what it was all about other than that her mom got this built when she made her first big donation many years before she had kids.
“Mindfulness Garden, built to give students a place to reflect and heal mentally. Bulit in honor of Intelligence alumni Agent 19, CEO of Robodog Inc and Inner Circle agent of the Emperor’s Coup.” Hanaka read the plaque at the entrance of the garden “Huh, I forget that mom is an agent. What a girlboss!”
She makes her way into the garden and sits under the willow tree that’s tucked in a more secluded part of the garden. Bringing her knees up to her chest, lunch bag set next to them, they give a large inhale and exhale into a heaving sob. God, they were so mentally exhausted! They didn’t want to talk about their feelings or performance in school to teachers or counselors anymore! And they don’t want to burden their friends with their feelings. With things at home being limited to basically talking to their dad that doesn’t know the meaning of being so mentally tired, Hanaka feels so alone. She could wait until their mom is done with her company stuff, but she wants her now, not a week from now! Her boiling hot tears flow out of her tired, little eyes. Tears so hot that they sizzle upon contact.
“What do you see?” asked Petti to Kyanka, trying to toggle the settings
“Nya hold on! I’m trying to find the right setting, but the buttons are too small!”
“Just use your nail Kya” suggested Twinkle.
Kyanka groaned “My daddy made me file them down because I was snagging on everything in the house” she flexed her paw to show the other two “I can’t do shit with just my beans!”
“Yeesh! Here I’ll click through for you” Petti grunted “Tell me when.”
“Okay!.....NYAH!” Kyanka signaled “Where did you lose her Twinkle?”
Twinkle pointed toward the garden “Over there, she went under those trees and I’m not sure where she went after.”
“How are you going to see through the trees?” asked Petti
“These googles come with a heat seeking setting” Kyanka looked toward the area “And since Hanaka radiates high heat, she’ll show up as bright white on my thing.”
“Wow look at you kitty girl! Having the braincell today!” praised Twinkle
“FOUND HER! Wait, nya?”
“What is it?” asked Petti and Twinkle
“Well I found her but theres another thing I’m picking up, nya” Kyanka was trying to explain “Another, person? Thing? Person shaped thing?”
“What’s got you confused?” Petti was trying to piece what Kyanka was seeing.
Kyanka pursed her lips in concentration “Like, why is this thing pitch black? Like it’s made out of the coldest ice ever. And it’s...moving around? So it’s not an ice sculpture, nya.”
Twinkle gasped “Hanaka’s direct opposite?! What are the chances!”
Meanwhile, Hanaka wasn’t aware that she wasn’t alone until she hears a very soft but close by “Damn!”
That startled her out of her thoughts, looking around to see who was there. But she didn’t see anyone next to her, maybe somebody was behind the tree? She crawled to peer behind the trunk of the tree, at first there was nobody there but in a blink of an eye, suddenly appeared a male uniform with a presumably invisible person in it. Hanaka flinched in fear but didn’t want to look away out of curiosity, she’s never met an invisible person before! Even though she couldn’t see their face, she felt their eyes on them.
“I- um, I-I-I” the invisible person stammered, like they just got caught.
Hanaka wasn’t sure why they were acting like that but then noticed the spilt soy sauce on the knee of their pants.
“Ah! Here, I have a detergent stick” Hanaka reached into her bag to pull out a pen detergent stick “I eat really messy too, don’t worry.”
The person was hesitant to reach for the pen she offered but slowly leaned over to grab it “Th-thank you” they said in the same soft voice.
Hanaka looked on as they removed their stain “Oh uhhh, I’m-”
“You’re Hanaka R. Iida, Hero course student in 1A” the person finished her sentence “I know who you are.”
“Whoa, how do you know my name and class?”
“I um, I studied you closely- NOT IN A PERVY WAY!” they clarified in a panic “I mean, I’m a business student here. I’m Tenten Chuubei, class 1A. The business course has us predict trends on things like top students or who’s more likely to be a top hero or sidekick.”
“Oh, cool! I didn’t know the business course did that” Hanaka was even more intrigued now “Say, I’ve never met anyone with your quirk! How does it work?”
“Huh? You’re curious about me?”
Hanaka nodded eagerly.
“Well, I have three quirks, according to the registry here” the person explained “I have invisibility, clairvoyance and sheer cold.”
Hanaka gasped “Cold?! I’m a fire user!”
“I was kind of hoping we’d never cross paths for you to see me like this” Tenten sighed as they recapped the pen “Don’t think you can-”
“Can I shake your hand with my hand at max heat?”
“Huh?” Tenten was confused as hell
“I’ve never experienced the cold before, and it doesn’t snow where I’ve lived my entire life” Hanaka stuck her hand out “I’d love to see how it feels.”
Tenten looked Hanaka’s hand and gulped hard “Now that I think about it, I’ve never felt warmth” he reached out his hand slowly “I’m curious too.”
Even though Hanaka can’t see his hand, she certainly felt it when his fingertips touched her palm. Their hands fell into the handshake position, but they didn’t do the shaking part because they were too focused on the new sensation. They didn’t know how long they were holding hands or how the other was feeling, all that Hanaka could do is give a big dumb grin and wide eyes.
“Why the hell are they just holding hands?” Petti squawked “I just know she convinced them to hold hands, Hanaka always wants to touch things with they’re quirk related.”
“Hm? I didn’t take Hanaka for the curious type” commented Twinkle as they munched on the abandoned Koala snacks “How do you know?”
“Nya, she asked me what I was hiding my mittens when I was the new kid in preschool” Kyanka clapped her paws “She said my paws were cool and would poke my beans. And we were friends since!”
Petti groaned “When we were babies, Hanaka would collect my feathers when I was preening or molted” she lifted the back of her feathers on the base of her neck “She burned me on the neck when we were toddlers when she tried to put my feathers back on when I molted. I like to say she branded me as her friend at that point.”
“Nya, I have mine too on my wrist!”
Twinkle gasped excitedly “Wow! When will I get my friendship branding?!”
The two branded friends looked at each other, then at their unbranded friend.
“You don’t wanna, those burns were painful as hell!”
“Humph! I just want a friendship thing!” whined Twinkle, crossing their arms “Bracelets are so cliche! I want to get branded!”
Back to Hanaka, only 5 minutes has passed in the hand holding position, but the boy was starting to feel a bit weirded out.
“Alright, erm” he spoke as he loosened his grip.
“Hm? OH!” Hanaka quickly let go at his hint “That was nice! So that’s how being cold feels like.”
The boy was looking at his hand “Yea, nice...Like I was going to, melt? Turn into water?”
“Do you have lunch here every day?” blurted Hanaka “Can I join you again?”
“Erm, I come here to hide” said the boy meekly, making himself invisible again “I gotta go.”
“WAIT!” Hanaka bolted up but it was for nothing, he ran off and she couldn’t see him.
Now Hanaka wants to get to know Tenten and become friends. She was excited to tell her friends that she experienced cold for the first time. But the others already had an idea of what happened.
After School, walking to the nurse’s office
“YOU WHAT?!” yelled Hanaka
The girls winced at the outburst.
“We were concerned for you!” Petti defended “We gave you the space.”
“Nya! I didn’t say that we knew who that was or what was said” Kyanka crossed her arms “It was just predictable and surprising that the one time you want to be alone is the time you find your direct opposite.”
Twinkle was pouty and slowly inching their hand toward Hanaka “If you’re mad, you can take it out on me.”
Petti and Kyanka slowly lowered their friend’s hand away, making them more pouty.
“ANYWAYS! Who was the person?” asked Petti “are they nice? Bitchy?”
“Are they pretty?! What class are they in?” asked Kyanka “I don’t think there’s an ice user in the B class next to us.”
Hanaka raised an eyebrow and recalled “Hm, actually. They’re an invisible quirk user with 2 other quirks. And they’re a boy in the Business course.”
The three girls gasped and eyes widened.
“A boy?! You held hands with a boy?!” screamed Twinkle before Kyanka shoved a paw in her mouth to silence her.
Hanaka looked at her hand and fully processed what she said to Tenten earlier. Once it clicked she turned red and set the top of her head on fire.
“Oh my god why did I do that?!” panicked Hanaka, hands on her cheeks “I’ve never talked to a boy that wasn’t my siblings’ friends! I was just curious! Oh geez what if he thinks I was flirting with him?!”
The squak were in hysterics right outside the nurse’s office, thankfully nurse Eri put a stop to it before anything caught on fire. The girls calmed down and got the band aid for Twinkle before leaving. Hanaka was very bothered by this realization but didn’t really know how to express it or explain it. She just went straight to her room once she got home, no words exchanged to her twin or dad. She even forgot to lock her door! That’s how bothered she was.
“Hanaka? You want a snack?” her dad asked carefully before opening her door a bit wider “We just got our shipment of hot chips, mom got your favorites.”
She looked over to her dad in the doorway with a bag of Exxtra Hot Cheetos. No words were spoken, just her holding her hands out with the grabby hands.
Her dad sat at the foot of the bed and waited to see if Hanaka wanted to talk about what’s bothering her as she popped the chip bag open. Hanaka just crunched, unable to find the words but just a singular sigh.
“Ah, so you talked to the opposite sex and your friends/classmates are teasing/shocked about it and you’re not sure how to feel about it because you’ve never talked like that and wonder if they took it the wrong way but you just wanted to make a friend.”
Hanaka stopped mid crunch “What the- how did you?”
Their dad chuckled “That’s what happened to me when I held your mom’s hands for the first time when they told me their secret” he reminisced “I told my brother when I got home and my classmates saw me from the third floor window hold her hands. I was embarrassed and unsure about my feelings, because I wanted to be friends with her. But at the same time I developed feelings that never truly went away.”
Hanaka turned red again, as bright as the cheetos she was snacking on.
“It’s okay to feel like this, you don’t need to figure it out right away” their dad opened his arms for a hug “take your time, you just met this boy right? Who knows! He might make a really good friend.”
Hanaka threw herself into her dad's arms for the hug “Thanks dad.”
He embraced her “Anytime Hanaka. Just take my advice, if you do find yourself that you like this boy: Don’t wait, just tell him you like him. You might regret it if you don’t say anything.”
“Is that what happened to you?”
“Yes and if I wasn’t just a denier of my feelings, I would’ve confessed 2nd year and married the day we were 20 years old.” he sighed and held his daughter tighter “But then you and your siblings wouldn’t exist! And I very much love you all.”
“Dad, are you crying?”
“....yes” he croaked “I just really love my little family and all my children are growing up so fast! It’s like last week you were crawling for the first time and now you’re talking to boys! I’ll blink and you’ll be married!”
“Dad! I don’t know if I even like this boy!” Hanaka tried to squirm herself out of her dad’s embrace “let me go you big sappy fool!”
“No, because if I let you go” her father didn’t budge “you’ll grow up! Stay little just a bit longer please.”
Hanaka stopped resisting and pondered on what her father said, almost in defeat.
“Fine, no promises that I won’t be a little taller tomorrow tho!”
-Later that night, before bedtime-
There was a knock on Tensei’s door
“Go away Rosa”
“STUPIDO TENSEI YOU DON’T EVEN KNOW WHAT I WANT!”
Tensei sighed and unlocked the door anyways “Que quieres?”
Hanaka barged in and front flipped onto her twin’s bed, almost missing the edge of the mattress. She turns to properly face Tensei.
“I have to tell you many things twin brother.”
“Uh huh? That’s why you come in to stand higher than me?” Tensei smirked as he sat at his desk chair “Pues? What do you need to tell me gemela?”
Hanaka takes a deep breath “Okay, first off! I’m sorry for letting my rage get the best of me at school.” She did a tiny hop on the bed “Secondly, I know I’ve been a shitty twin and dragging you into all my drama but I know it’s because I depend too much on you fixing things.” She did a slightly bigger hop, just enough to get the bounce back of the mattress “Thirdly, but not leastly-”
“Those aren’t words”
“Shut up! I’m trying to made amends with you!” Hanaka huffed as she did another hop “What I mean is that, I need your help with something not school related.”
“Oh? You’ve piqued my interest!” Tensei leaned in with his elbows on his knees, holding his chin “Continue.”
Hanaka carefully sat down on bed, leaning toward her twin “I uhhhh, I need help talking to this person I just met today.”
“Who are they?”
Hanaka gets shy “It’s a boy in the business class. BEFORE YOU TEASE ME! I want your help with talking with boys.”
Tensei gives his twin a look “You need help talking to this boy? Why, you like him or something?”
“I don’t know!” she threw herself back, laying perfectly on Tensei’s freshly fluffed pillow “I talked to him and since the only non-family boys I’ve talked to are your friends and the children of our parents’ friends, I literally don’t know if I said something that sounds like I’m flirting with him or it’s friendly.”
“Ay Rosa, talking to boys is so simple” sighed Tensei, folding his arms “Boys wear their emotions on their face.”
“Okay but what if he has an invisibility quirk and he doesn’t show his face in the first place?”
Tensei blinked and put a hand on his chin “Damn, I didn’t consider that, what the fuck Rosa?!”
“You see why I’m freaking out?!” Hanaka groaned “Help me Tensei! I promise to help you out with talking to girls!”
“Fine I’ll help, the offer won’t be needed” Tensei gave in “tell me about your interactions and I’ll say if that was friendly or not.”
“Yay! You’re the best twin ever!” Hanaka sat up quickly with her arms out “The offer will be on the table, just in case.”
Before Tensei could say anything, the robo-dog trotted into the room.
“Children, it’s 10:11pm on a school night” the robo-dog displayed a count down “You have T-minus 90 seconds to get to bed with lights off before I alert your mother.”
The timer starts ticking down
“Run Hanaka! Mama is letting dad chose the punishment this time!” cried out Tensei.
“Aw FUCK!” Hanaka ran with no quirk at high speed to her room. Not wanting to fuck around and find out this time.
The robo turns to Tensei, making him yelp and jump into bed “Goodnight doggy!”
“Goodnight Tensei” The robo starts trotting out the room, turning off the light “Sweet dreams, your mother returns tomorrow in the afternoon.”
Tensei waited until the door closed to breathe out “God that thing scares me! Why the fuck is that thing the reason for my family’s wealth?”

MHA as Stoners
Continued
Tumblr media
Izuku Midoriya
Izuku doesn't usually smoke by himself, he will only do it in a large group of people if they are all doing it.
He is a big cougher
Will take the smallest hits
Not because he doesn't want to
But because that's all he can handle
(God he's so precious)☺️
Eventually, he will get up there, though it takes a while
He is usually shy and VERY awkward around girls that he likes
Especially you
But when he is he turns into a whole new person
He is SUPER confident and will make moves on you till the night's end
He is super grabby
Don't worry he's still a respectful gentleman so if you tell him to knock it off he will (as he should)😌
Likes to brag about how you are all his
He is also super goofy
He will also be super affectionate 💕
———————————
“Izuku if you don't stop right now, ” your sentence was cut off by your outburst of laughter. Your hand tried to muffle the giggles and snorts resigning from your mouth. Izuku continued in his goofy manner of wiggling his eyebrows at you. His face moved from side to side until it was in front of yours. He stopped and just stared at you.
“What are you doing?” you asked, lifting your brow at him. He then raised his eyebrows once more, squinted his eyes, and pulled his lower lip under his teeth. You covered your mouth again in an effort not to laugh. He eyed you up and down and released his lip.
“Damn baby girl, did you sit in sugar, cuz you got a pretty sweet ass, ” he smirked at you waiting for your response. You began to laugh again and put your hand on his chest.
“You're too much Izuku.”
Tumblr media
Shoto Todoroki
He really likes dab pens
He has one of his own (can you blame him?)
He doesn't share much as it is or show much emotion and is usually awkward in social encounters
And he still is even when high
He doesn't change much while smoking, except for maybe talking a bit more
He will have actual conversations with you
If you're alone with him he will talk to you about anything
He is a lot softer
Doesn't pick up on social cues until like ten minutes later
He is a lot slower though, in his smarts
Will say the most random shit like
“My dad is a piece if shit”💩
“We know Todoroki” 💁‍♀️
Or he will ask personal things that he shouldn't without realizing
———————————
Shoto hit his one and placed it down in his lap. It rested gently in his hand, as he let out the puff of smoke he stared down at it. A million thoughts crossed his mind in a second. Then out of the blue he remembered something he overheard Kaminari saying to Mineta earlier that he did not understand.
“Wath she hot?” mineta clenched his hands and practically shook while waiting for Kaminari’s answer.
“Dude she was a total MILF!” Kaminari said, almost a little too excited.
What the hell did that mean? And why do I care?
At the time Shoto shrugged his shoulders and forgot about it. But as of now, stoned to the bone, he was curious. And who better to ask than his closest friends.
“Hey guys, ” he looked up at his friends who were all now focusing their attention to him awaiting his question.
“What is a MILF?” he said oh so nonchalantly. The rest of the group all began to start laughing and clutching their stomachs in pain.
“I just heard Kaminari say it earlier and I wanted to know, ” he shrugged again and glanced around the now hysterically laughing teenagers.
“Uh, Todoroki it's not that appropriate to talk about, ” Midoryia scratched the back of his neck, his face entirely red from the situation.
“Oh,” he plainly replied.
Tumblr media
Tenya Iida
We all know he isn't one for breaking rules, let alone the law
(though he literally almost committed murder👀)
He doesn't smoke very often but when he does he gets very paranoid😒
He always thinks that he and his friends will get caught
Honestly it's kind of a buzz kill
No one likes someone freaking out the whole time you are trying to chill
Be tries to cover any smells with WAY to much cologne
(it smells good though)
And is always chewing gum so you can't smell it on his breath
Eventually he will relax but only to an extent
He will make sure you're okay every five minutes and offer to get you anything
Like you're sick
But honestly he just cares and he can't help it
He likes to go for walks though🚶‍♂️
———————————
“You guys Mr. Aizawa will smell it!” Iida's hand flew through the air as he addressed the smell now filling the room. Iida frantically picked up the cologne sitting on the desk next to the best and began sporadically spraying it around the room and on everything.
“Iida, calm down it's going to be okay just come sit down, ” Tsu said from her corner, her finger pressed up against her lip, as usual. He turned to look at her.
“But I don't want to disgrace our school and have our homeroom teacher discover that we are smoking drugs in here, ” he sat down unwillingly as everyone choked on the cologne he sprayed and sighed.
“Fine, ” he looked over to you to see how you were doing. You smiled at the boy who was now flushed.
“Hey Tenya, would a walk outside calm you down?” you suggested grabbing his hand and interlaced your fingers with his. He looked down at your now intertwined hands and back up to you the flush beginning to grow deeper.
“I would love too, ” he grinned back.
Tumblr media
Ochaco Uraraka
This girl can't afford her own 🌿 so she's gotta mooch off of her friends
Not that they mind
She's a giggly stoner
She really enjoys getting high, in fact she does whenever she can
She also loves to get stoned around you
Because she loves to see you smiling and can't help but laugh at everything you say
You could literally as the dumbest shit and she will laugh💀
She doesn't like other people cuddling you and will tell anyone off if they do
They should know that she likes you
She might make a move on you if she's feeling brave
———————————
“Stop y/n, you're killing me!” Ochaco wrapped her arms around her stomach as she continued to laugh until she almost threw up. Gosh, she's so queasy. All you did was make a joke about how deku always breaks his bones while he's using his quirk. This left her giggling uncontrollably and deku as red as ever.
“I can't help it, man, I'm just too funny, ” you shrugged and watched the girl laugh.
Eventually, when you got tired and wanted to go to bed Ochaco offered to walk you to your room, which you accepted. Once you reached your door you said good night and reached to open it.
“Wait, y/n, there is something I've been meaning to tell you, but I just havent had the courage to say it, ” she grabbed your hand and looked at the ground. She squeezed your fingers ever so slightly and returned her gaze to yours. Her face made her way to yours and she planted a ever so soft kiss on your lips and instantly pulled away.
“I like you, ” she said grabbing your other hand. You stood there in shock, and looked at her. Suddenly, you kissed an unexpecting Ochaco right back. You kicked open your door, lips still attached, and pulled her into your room sealing the exit behind her.
Tumblr media
Tsuyu Asui
This girl is hard to read but I know if she likes to smoke, she would like bongs
She likes the bubbling sound it makes
She is very blunt as is and even more so when stoned
However if you can get her to laugh, she will not stop
She is also very funny, and will try her darn hardest to get you to start laughing uncontrollably
This girl is also apart of the alphabet mafia🏳️‍🌈
Try and change my mind😤
Will have the biggest crush on you but won't do anything about it
Will wait for you to tell her
Bottom energy
Definitely loves to shotgun with you
May lead to more things later
———————————
Tsu took a hit off of the long and passed it onto the next person. She turned to you, still holding the smoke in her lungs. You simply nodded at her and slowly leaned in towards her. Her eyes fluttered closed and she parted her mouth every so slightly. Your lips just barely touched hers, sending shock waves through your body and hers. But as much as Tsu wanted to kiss you she couldn't. She then released the smoke out of her mouth, sending it straight into yours. You inhale as much as you could and open your eyes to look at the girl in front of you. The smoke then was exhaled as you both held eye contact, lips still touching.
“Uhhh, ” The moment ended once the other teens began to speak.
You both looked around at the confused teenagers, who were apparently staring at you both the whole time you were doing what you were doing.
“Sorry guys I don't know what happened, ” Tsu tried laughing it off but you knew better, and you continue to stare at her.
She continued to talk to her friends story and change the subject. And in that moment you never wanted to kiss her more than right now.
Let me know if you want more!!❤️ thank you for reading!!

Note
Maybe pregnant hcs for Todoroki, Iida, Shinsou and Amajiki???💓💓💓💓💓
-Ohoho!!!! This right here just melts my hurt. Even thinking about it makes me weak.Plus a little heads up, everyone is having daughters cause I’m weak to the knees with the thought of these four and their babygirls so be prepared. Hope I don’t disappoint.💖💖💖
*All characters are aged up so around the ages of 20-25 and up*
Todoroki Shouto
-You and Shouto have been together since your second year in UA.
-You got married when you both got well acquainted with the hero life and now live a happy , yet busy, life in an apartment near his mom’s house.
-We know that this boy would want his family to be close to him and the fact that you get along with everyone fills his heart with so much love.
-You two never really talked about children.
-Maybe a few suggestions of having a child in the future but nothing serious.
-Que the morning sickness.
-Shouto was really worried about you, I mean look at you.
-You’re emptying your guts in the toilet every single morning.
-You can’t eat most foods that you used to like and have a weird craving for tuna yogurt?!
-He doesn’t want to leave the house, he even convinced you to take some days off and try to relax.
-Give your body rest.
-He promised to get some days off himself to take care of you.
-You had your suspicions, tbh.
-You just didn’t tell him.
-Whether that was to not get his hopes up or to post pone the heartbreak you didn’t really know.
-So what if you were mildly panicking over the fact that the 5 pregnancy tests you just took were all positive.
-It was the first day of your mini ‘vacation’ and thankfully Shouto had been called in today.
-Because you’re panicking and legit losing your shit over this, you call....Rei.
-Okay maybe it wasn’t the best course of action considering you were on the verge of cardiac arrest, but what can you do.
-You asked her if she was home and if you could stop by.
-Of course she said yes, delighted to see you and mentioned that Fuyumi was also going to stop by in around an hour.
-You made your way to her house, arriving just as Fuyumi was pulling into the drive way.
-After greeting each other and going inside, you took your seats in the living room and waited for Rei to make some tea.
-Fuyumi was going on and on about what the kids at the kindergarten were doing and how cute some of them were being.
-Neither of the Todoroki women had missed your puffy eyes or how your smile would constantly waver, but they decided to let you tell them on your own accord.
-Once Rei joined you in the living room, they both turned to you.
- “So how have you been Y/n, dear?” Rei said watching you really closely.
-You looked down, feeling hot tears starting to form in your eyes and your throat tightening painfully.
-Fuyumi moved closer to you while Rei draped an arm around your shoulders which were shacking at the moment.
- “I-I’m p-pregnant.” it was barely a whisper, but they heard it alright.
-Mom mode activated 2x.
-They reassured you that everything was going to be fine and how lucky you are.
-They repeatedly said how excited Shouto will be and what of a push over of a dad he would become.
-After 4 long hours of baby talk, you returned home, collapsing on the sofa before passing out for a good 3 hour nap.
-When you woke up, Shouto was home and sitting next to you weaving his fingers absentmindedly through your hair.
- “Hey there sleepyhead.”
-How could his voice be so soft!?!?
-You buried your face into the blanket, which really confused him, I mean...what did he do?
- “We have a problem...” pause....awkward silence.... “I’m pregnant.”
-*Windows noises*
-After the mild stroke, he lifted you up so you were looking at him and just stared at you.
-Those seconds that he just looked at you felt like eternity.
-The torture ended however, when he lowered his head to your stomach and lifting your shirt, placed a small kiss right under your belly button.
- “Hey there, snowflake. Nice to meet you.”
-And with that, 9 exhausting months started full of mood swings, weird cravings, back rubs and a never ending list of baby names.
-You two learned you were having twins on your fifth appointment, but you decided to keep the gender a surprise.
-On a cold January night your two girls were brought into the world and it was one of the few times you had seen Endeavour and Natsuo in the same room bawling their eyes out.
-Your white haired baby was named Rei *after her grandmother* while your mixed red and h/c babygirl Ren.
-When Shouto held them for the first time, you thought he was going to have a mental breakdown.
-He’s a total push over and your girls are daddy’s girls to the core.
-He’s the best dad they could ask for.
Iida Tenya
-You and Tenya have been married for 6 years now and have been trying endlessly for a baby.
-You both agreed that you were ready for the responsibility and that having a little Tenya running around the house sounded like a great idea.
-Saying that you were exhausted form the attempts was an understatement.
-Tenya had incredible stamina and even more libido, so you can safely assume that during the week long process of baby making you couldn’t walk straight.
-However, your little shenanigans stopped when your doctor delivered you the news.
-You had been hit by a blood related quirk while dealing with a villain and had to get a check up afterwards.
-You were given a scolding the moment you saw your doctor because why aren’t you in desk duty you RASCAL!?
-You were confused beyond belief and it was written all over your face.
- “You don’t know do you?”
-Le sigh.
- “Mrs. Iida I’m happy to announce you that you’re expecting, so that means you are to be put in desk duty for the next 4 months or else I’m making sure you don’t leave the house for a good 9 months.”
-You. Were. Ecstatic.
-You ran to Tenya’s agency, bringing down the damned door to his office giving the man a heart attack.
- “Y/n what’s-”
- “I’M PREGNANT!”
-Que ecstatic air chopping.
-Tenya went into full dad mode during those 9 months.
-Buttt he’s also kinda nervous.
-Nervous like Tamaki in a crowd level nervous.
-You get the image.
-You have anything you want whenever you want it.
-The nursery is done the moment you find out you are having a gilr.
-Unlike Todoroki he isn’t patient enough to keep the gender a secret.
-When the day arrives, you’re just chilling outside with him when you nonchalantly blurt out ‘my waters broke’.
-....oh...oH.....OHSHIIIIIIIT.
- “WHY ARE YOU SO CALM?! GET UP! ARE YOU IN PAIN? CAN YOU WALK!?”
-This goes on until you are screaming and crushing his hand in the delivery room.
-Your little girl is born and she’s a carbon copy of Tenya.
-Same colored hair and eyes.
-The face structure looks like you.
-She has your nose and mouth, along with your eyebrows but apart from that she’s a mini genderbend Tenya.
-Because she was born early in the morning you decided to change her name and so little Asami Tenya was officially a part of this world.
-Tenya cried.
-You cried.
-Asami cried.
-You were one happy crying family.
Shinsou Hitoshi
-You and Hitoshi have been together for two years now, but you haven’t put a ring on it.
-Sure you live together and act like a married couple already but you’re not Mrs.Shinsou.....yet.
-You have been feeling strange for days now and your period was late which never happens.
-You are panicking but unlike Shouto you two aren’t married.
-He can leave with almost no complications.
-You were his girlfriend not his wife.
-The pregnancy tests you had taken were mocking you from the bathroom sink and your poor hormone ridden mind couldn’t handle the stress.
-You cried a river until you heard keys jiggling and HItoshi’s iconic ‘Kitten, I’m home!’
-You couldn’t face him like this.
-In a haste you shoved the tests into the laundry basket along with their packages and covered them with some sheets.
-Fixing your hair and washing your face, you straightened and walked out the door.
-After greeting Hitoshi with a kiss you calmly told him to go get ready while you made him something to eat.
-Your mind was running laps thinking how you could tell him or how you could solve your little problem as quietly as possible.
-That is until he walked in holding what seemed to be a box.
-A pregnancy test box.
-HOW CAN YOU BE BLIND?
- “Y/n, what’s this?”pause “Are you..?”
-Anddd more crying.
-You sobbed about how sorry you were and how you couldn’t explain how it happened.
-Both of you were so careful, how did this happen???
-After a good 15 minutes of you bawling your eyes out on the kitchen floor while Hitoshi was trying to calm you down, you finally stopped at the sound of his chuckle.
- “Well, damn kitten, your surprise definitely beat mine.”
-Then he pulled a small velvet box from his pocket and watched you closely.
-Now you are Mrs.Shinsou.
-These 9 months weren’t as bad as you would expect.
-Hitoshi was really good at giving you everything you wanted and during the whole pregnancy you didn’t lift a finger.
-One October night your waters broke and you found yourself in a long procedure of bringing your child into the world.
-Hitoshi was a wreck and had called Aizawa for emotional support who called Hizashi who called Midnight.
-Once you were finished, Hitoshi rushed into your room and found you utterly exhausted.
-He was the first to hold your baby and you have never seen him cry this much in your life.
- “Hello my little Kei.”
-Kei Shinsou was a happy little girl with an amazing father by her side.
Amajiki Tamaki
-Ah love.
-Something Tamaki found during high school and held onto it ever since.
-Now a well known pro hero, Suneater was more than happy with his life with you.
-He always wanted a little something more but never expressed it.
-He loved the idea of having a mini you running around the living room or waking him up in the morning with little squeals and kisses.
-He loved you to the moon and back, more than life itself but having a kid with you sparked a whole new sensation in him.
-So he tried to be sly about it.
-Forgetting the condoms or to pull out.
-You not being able to find your pills.
-A whole lot of fun.
-You were newly weds and your libidos were high af and with the prospect of children on the table Tamaki became 10x more driven and horny.
-So you weren’t all that surprised when your doctor gave you the news.
-You had gone for a plain old check up when he came into the room with a bright smile on his face and congratulations falling like a waterfall from his mouth.
-Once back home you put your plan in motion.
-You had a feeling Tamaki was trying to knock you up for some time now.
-He couldn’t forget to pull out every time like come on.
-But you were fine with it since you too wanted a kid with him.
-You just would’ve liked a little heads up first.
-You made your little bun and put it in the oven.
-And waited.
-And waited.
-And waited.
-Until finally Tamaki walked through the door,  a smile gracing his features as he made his way to you.
- “Hey bunny.”
-Giving him a quick peck you told him to check the oven real quick to make sure the food was all good.
-He obliged, walking to the kitchen and seeing the sole bun sitting in the oven.
-He was beyond confused on why you would only make one bun in the oven and not more, I mean you are two peop- ohhhh.
-OH.
-He did it.
-He let the news settle in before going back to you.
- “Are you sure?” nod “100% sure?” another nod.
-At that he fell to his knees in front of you, attacking your stomach with kisses and I love yous.
-To whom they were directed you couldn’t actually tell but you were happy either way.
-Calls the baby butterfly.
-Makes the whole nursery along with Mirio who is ecstatic.
-Butterfly themed baby room.
-Expect many back and belly rubs along with Tamaki coming home early because Fatgum cannot allow him to stay at work when he’s preparing for a baby.
-When your waters break you are buying some onesies with small octopuses on them.
-You have never been taken to the hospital so fast in your whole hero career.
-After many painful and stressful hours, your baby girl is born and she’s stunning.
-She has Tama’s ears and hair but your eyes and nose.
-She’s a perfect mix.
-The Big 3 cry as a team.
-When she’s given to him, Tamaki just cry laughs at how gorgeous she’s.
-Many thank yous are exchanged.
- Cho Amajiki.
-Tamaki cannot stop repeating the name even after they have taken her away.
-He curls on the chair next to you, holding your hand the whole night, falling into a deep sleep, imaging his new life with his little butterfly.

Ah yes, the match I’ve been looking forward to. I really love how this was animated in the anime.
[No. 36 - Bakugou vs. Uraraka]
Katsuki asks if Ochako is ‘the floaty one’, calling her Round-face (much to her annoyance) as he then tells her to back down now if she’s planning on doing so, because ‘crying uncle later’ won’t cut it.
Up in the stands, Tenya asks Izuku what the counter-strategy he’d offered to Ochako earlier was. Izuku replies that it’s nothing special, noting how Katsuki is strong - he’s got virtually no weaknesses in close-range combat. His quirk is stronger the more mobile he is, and he can maneuver in midair. But if Ochako can get Katsuki floating, she’ll gain the advantage.
The match starts, Ochako immediately ducking into a low run as she charges right at her opponent. She shouts that backing down is not an option; Katsuki tenses in preparation to act.
Izuku notes that even an accidental touch from Ochako can send Katsuki floating, so Katsuki wants to keep his distance. And if he knows Katsuki, he won’t dodge - he’ll confront her! Seeming to continue this train of thought, Ochako recalls how Katsuki usually leads with a right hook as Katsuki pulls his right arm back to swing at her. Ochako thinks of how she’ll dodge this, and-
Tumblr media
She doesn’t. Katsuki’s reaction time was just too fast for her. The crowds are also put off by the huge attack, calling it harsh and muttering about going all out against a girl. Katsuki himself doesn’t care, keeping focused on the smoke of his attack. He sees movement in the corner of his eye and jabs at it, telling her to not underestimate him-
Tumblr media
But she’s already behind him, sans the jacket he’s attacking. Present Mic realizes what happened and announces it to the crowd - she made her jacket float and went around the side, almost ninja-like! Ochako herself is entirely focused on just getting her opponent to float-
But again, Katsuki reacts too fast for her, sending her flying and skidding along the ground. Sero and Kaminari are put out, commenting on Katsuki’s reaction speed and how smoke screens won’t work when he’s so fast. Her quirk doesn’t work if she can’t touch him, and it won’t matter in the end because she’s slower than him.
Tumblr media
Ochako isn’t giving up, charging back in again despite how hopeless it seems. Katsuki blasts her away again, she charges back in, and it continues, all while the crowds grow increasingly unsettled. Izuku and Tenya are nervous for their friend, Jirou can’t even watch the match, and Mineta comments on Katsuki being ‘that type of guy.’ Even Present Mic is hesitant to commentate.
The crowds continue to murmur amongst themselves - it doesn’t matter how good she is at dodging, she’s just desperate now. Momoma huffs and calls whoever said that an idiot, much to the confusion of a few of his classmates. One person in the crowd asks Cementoss whether he should stop the match, since this is getting painful.
Tumblr media
Eventually, one hero stands up, stating that he can’t watch this anymore. He points down at Katsuki, stating that that is not the way someone who wants to be a hero acts. If he’s so much stronger than her, just throw her out of the ring and finish it! Stop toying with the poor girl! Other heroes in the crowd start to take the stand with him, booing Katsuki.
Present Mic notices it and starts to agree, only to be cut off with a painful elbow jab to the face from Aizawa, who takes the chance to steal the mic from him. Aizawa asks the hero in question whether he’s a pro, and how many years of active duty he has. If that’s what he’s taking away from this match, then the hero can leave. No point in watching. Go home and start looking at job-hunting sites.
Izuku and Tenya both look up at the announcement booth, surprised at their homeroom teacher’s defense, while Aizawa continues to speak. Ochako has come this far, and Katsuki knows her strength. His caution shows that he recognizes her as a worthy opponent. It’s precisely because he wants to win so badly that there’s no room for carelessness or holding back.
Katsuki judges his opponent carefully, determining that despite her exhausted state, she’s not ‘dead’ yet. Ochako wipes away some of the sweat on her face, murmuring that she’s almost ready, before thanking Katsuki for not dropping his guard - as she puts her fingers together in the ‘release’ signal. Katsuki is actually surprised, but Monoma is able to explain it to his classmates in the stands-
Tumblr media
By charging in low every time, she kept Katsuki’s attacks and attention focused on the ground, all to set up her weapons. With the constant attacks and the vision-obscuring smokescreens, he never realized.
Tumblr media
Ochako declares that she’ll win as a storm of debris comes raining down on Katsuki. Present Mic is just realizing that it’s a meteor storm, with Aizawa telling him to keep up. Izuku is shocked as well at such an extreme self-sacrificing strategy, completely unaware of the fact that she’s modeling herself on HIM. Ochako rushes forward, telling herself that it should be enough, and that whether he intercepts or dodges, she’ll find her opening. She will win! She can win! She’ll win just like Izuku did.
Tumblr media
Katsuki literally blows her attack away, the explosion large enough that it sends her flying back as well. Katsuki comments on how that must have been all that hanging out with Izuku, and that he knew she had some kind of plan. Ochako is somewhat terrified at how he undid all her work in one attack. As the lingering debris rains down around the arena, Present Mic comments on how Ochako’s secret plan went up in smoke.
Katsuki flexes his hand, muttering about that being a close one. Ochako forces herself back to her feet, thinking how that was the best she could do, but it wasn’t enough. She still rushes at Katsuki anyways, while Katsuki determines that it’s finally time to get serious - even using her actual last name instead of a nickname.
Tumblr media
But Ochako’s out of everything she can give. Her body won’t move; Izuku realizes that she went over her weight capacity already. Midnight rushes in to check on her, but Ochako desperately tries to tell Midnight not yet. SHe pulls herself forward on her arms, thinking about her dad. After a moment of silence, Midnight announces that Ochako is unable to continue, and Katsuki moves on to the second round.
Tumblr media
Katsuki looks… disappointed.
Damn, what a fight, though. I think Ochako actually proves herself to Katsuki here, since she’s the first person whose actual name he uses in the entire series.
Now if you’ll excuse me, the end-of-chapter extra page isn’t here, so I have to go track it down. I’ll try to have that up in a moment. See y’all later.

The Skirt
Fandom: Boku no Hero Academia/My Hero Academia Summary: Denki wears a skirt in front of her classmates for the first time. Warnings: Coming out, genderfluid character Word Count: 1,796 Ships: Kamanari Denki/Sero Hanta
Archive link!
“You can do this, you can do this,” she chanted to herself over and over again. Despite the affirming words, her hands hovered over the handle to the door. She could do it, she could leave her room and go downstairs. It wouldn’t be any different than it had been the other dozens of times that she had done it.
“Except this time it’ll be completely different,” she removed her hand from the doorknob completely and sat down heavily on her bed. “Everything’ll be different.”
Panic began to creep up from her stomach and sit heavily in her chest. She ran a hand shakily through her hair, though she was careful to avoid the cute clips that she had worked so hard to get into her hair in a way that didn’t look stupid. A couple more deep breaths had the panic simmering back down for the time being. She could tell that it was there, resting in the background and waiting to spring back up and choke her at any moment, but it was dormant for now.
“Come on, you’ve been female for a week now. You can wear a skirt in front of your classmates and ask to be called your proper pronouns,” she encouraged herself. “Kyouka promised that she’d be there for you if things go badly anyway. You can do this. It won’t be like last time. They’re heroes, they’re not going to be transphobic.”
The other voice in the back of her mind, the one that had stopped her from doing this up until now, spoke up again. It reminded her that genderfluidity wasn’t really accepted as an identity by quite a lot of queer people, and that it was a burden to ask people to remember the correct pronouns when they changed so often.
She didn’t get much of a chance to mull that over as someone knocked on the door. She sat upright as panic fluttered throughout her again, but it quickly settled down as she heard the voice of her childhood friend. “Hey, you missed breakfast. I’m heading to class now, but I’m going to force a granola bar into you during break,” she promised.
The other teenager heard Kyouka’s hurried footsteps as her childhood friend left to go to class. Denki let out a small hiss. She was hoping that she would have been able to get some of the reaction out of the way before class started, but she had waited too long and now everyone would see her at the same time.
She stood up, a fierce determination taking over her. She flung the door to her room open and fled down the hall after making sure it was securely latched. She was going to do this, she wouldn’t chicken out. She had Kyouka by her side, and she logically couldn’t be the only trans or queer person at this school. Hopefully whoever the other queer people were would recognize that her gender and feelings were real and back her up. If they didn’t at least she had Kyouka.
The trip across the campus was quick and painless. There were very few people traveling over the green or on any of the sidewalks, and those that were didn’t recognize her and she didn’t recognize them. The nervousness that she had been feeling all morning returned to her when she reached the door. She puffed up her chest, smiling slightly as the shirt hung over her differently, giving her the illusion of being physically female like she wished she could be at the moment.
The euphoria of looking like the gender she currently was inside let her open the door and she quickly walked inside. She could feel the eyes of her classmates following her, though there were still the normal speckled conversations that usually took place before their teacher woke up and began classes.
She sat down at her desk, placing her bag next to her. Panic was heavy in her chest but she was doing her best to keep it down and away from the surface. She was doing something that scared the shit out of her, and she couldn’t let them see weakness like she had done in middle school.
Nobody said anything, though more and more of the conversations were dying down as people realized that something was up. Soon she had nearly every single person looking at her, and it was really beginning to get to her. She shifted awkwardly, staring down at her lap. Her nervous mannerisms began to pick up and she started to brush her hands over her skirt and fiddle with the loose strings of her button up shirt.
“Uh, Denki?” someone finally spoke up.
The blond responded by snapping her head up and looking directly at who had spoken. Mina was sitting closest to her and had apparently been the one to finish reeling first too.
“Are you wearing a skirt?” Izuku asked from the other side of the room.
The blond shifted again, swallowing down nothing as she tried to dampen her nerves. She caught the confident smile that Kyouka was wearing and then nodded. “Yeah, I am. I’m wearing makeup too.”
“Why?” Hitoshi asked.
“If my boyfriend wants to wear a skirt and makeup then he can, whenever he wants to,” Hanta said from behind Denki, immediately getting defensive of her.
Dysphoria flared up in her again as she shifted in her seat. “Actually, um, I’m wearing makeup and a skirt today because I’m a girl.”
“You are?” Hanta asked, blinking. He then panicked, “Not that that’s a bad thing! I just wasn’t expecting it. I still want to be here for you if you need me.”
“Well, I’m not a girl all the time,” the blond got out before any more of the chaos in the classroom could unfold. “I just… I’m genderfluid. It means that I feel like my gender changes. Sometimes I feel like both, sometimes I feel like neither, sometimes I feel female, sometimes I feel male. I know it’s kind of an annoying thing, so I’m not going to ask any of you to change pronouns all the time, but I just want to be myself.”
“Nonsense,” Tenya called over the top of the clamoring of voices from some of the students. “Everyone will respect Denki’s pronouns no matter how often they change, and if you don’t I have some firm words for you.”
“Yeah, same! Disrespect my friend and you and I are going to have a problem,” Eijirou called. “Transphobia is so unmanly!”
To her surprise, the next person from her friend group to speak up was Katsuki. “More than a problem. You might not live to see your birthday if you decide to disrespect her. Got it, you bunch of losers?”
“None of us want to disrespect her, Kacchan!” Izuku called, having become a lot more outward now that he was comfortable around the rest of the class. There were a couple of crows in agreement, before the conversations began to pick back up and people returned to what they were doing.
Momo was up from her chair and gathering Denki up in a hug. “Thank you for coming out to us, it means a lot. I have a couple tips and tricks for this kind of dysphoria if you ever want to spend some time together,” she beamed.
“Ooh! We should invite her to girl’s night on the weeks that she’s feeling like a girl!” Tooru clapped her hands together in excitement.
“Yeah, we could do your hair and paint your nails!” Ochako chimed in, looking just as giddy and excited. “I bet that you could give us some tips on eyeshadow too, you look really good today.”
“Thanks. I used to do it on my sisters and I guess I just got really good over time,” she flushed and rubbed the back of her neck in embarrassment.
Tsuyu was the next one to speak. “Also, you don’t have to be female to come to girl’s night. You can be nonbinary or agender like me and still show up. It’s mostly just for us to do girly stuff like gossip and paint each other’s nails.”
“That sounds really nice,” she grinned. “I’m pretty good at painting nails and braiding hair.”
“This is going to be so much fun!” Mina grinned. “You and I have to go shopping the next time that we get a weekend outside of school. I want to have a fashion show with you.”
“Kyouka already took me shopping when I was in middle school, I’ve got some feminine clothes. And it’s not like I have much of an allowance to spend,” she shrugged awkwardly.
The pink teenager rolled her eyes. “My dads spoil me with a big allowance, and I’m sure that they’d be more than willing to help if I told them that it was to get clothes so that you would feel more comfortable!”
“Yeah, okay,” she nodded finally after a moment of deliberation. Mina quickly got caught up in a conversation with Tooru across the aisle about which shops that they should bring their new feminine friend to.
Denki jumped as she felt someone tap on her shoulder. She turned around to see her boyfriend sitting there with that stupid smile that he always got when he was looking at her. “Hey,” she whispered. “I hope that this isn’t too weird for you. And that you’re not mad I didn’t come out to you first.”
“It’s okay,” Hanta shook his head. “I now that coming out can be really difficult. It took me three years just to be able to tell my parents that I was questioning my sexuality, and even longer to admit to them that I was bi.”
She reached out to grasp the hand that was resting on his desk, threading their fingers together. “I just wanted to get it all done and out of the way at once. Coming out is so hard, so I wanted to do it once instead of half a dozen times.”
“I get that. Thanks for sharing this with us. I’ll try my best to remember your pronouns and change around some of the pet names that I use for you,” he brightened up. “Does this mean that I can finally experiment around with some of the girly ones?”
She laughed, “Yeah, it does.”
“Awesome,” he beamed, leaning across the desk to gently give her a kiss on her lips.
“I love you so much,” she giggled. “Thank you for being so supportive of me.”
“Of course. What kind of a boyfriend would I be if I wasn’t supportive?” Hanta snorted. His face softened and he rubbed the back of her knuckles with his thumb. “I love you too.”

Do you any other Hawks fic ideas you'd like to write? Or is Hawks-sensei all you've got on your mind right now?
Wyv. You know not what you ask. I have to put them in categories, Wyv. Categories.
Kid!Hawks:
-Kid!Hawks growing up with the LOV (both as a permanent thing and various ridiculous drabbles) This involves Unwilling Big Brother Shigaraki, scarily willing Big SisterToga who knows all the coolest knife tricks, Best Uncle Twice who sometimes on his real good days doubles as temporary Dad, the Dad who teaches you how to hot wire cars and laugh people’s money straight out of their wallets Compress, mother-henning can-not-leave-you-alone-for-one-god-damn-minute Spinner, True Mom Kurogiri, Big Sis Mag who seems to be the only actual one that realizes that children need to sleep at some point for the love of god, extremely confused but horrifically soft Dabi who may or may not eventually turn his whole life around because of this feathered idiot that needs someone to make sure he lives a happy life whether it be a permanent shrinking or not. Oh, and Machia. The best Mountain Monster Dog brother (?) a boy could ask for.
-Kid!Hawks with UA (staff edition) also both in temporary and permanent circumstances. Temporary is already in progress. Permanent? Oh boy, permanent world. They raise him within UA so as to keep him from the Commission. Hawks often sits in on their classes with coloring books, picture books, or just to sit there and watch them. He is very smart. He picks up on things, but mostly he just likes being around all the staff. He picks a new person to sleep with every week because some of them have really shitty sleep schedules and even as a kid he knows they would feel bad keeping him up, thus forcing them to go to bed through good-person guilt so he tragets the sleepiest looking people for the week (hint: Aizawa gets picked a lot, and even if he’s not sleep deprived Hawks would pick him because he adores his grumpy cat Dad). Thirteen does crafts with him all the time. She watches every kid show and gets really into it with him. Hawks and Mic make the meals and they sing the entire time. They sing together throughout the day. Hawks will chirp out a line of notes and out of nowhere Hizashi will burst in to sing the lyrics. Midnight reads him bedtime stories cause her voices are the best. She does his nails and lets him do hers. He practices on the UA students to surprise her with new designs (the students fall over their own feet to offer to be his test subject). Snipe does little challenges with him. Things that, while technically helping him get used to controlling his quirk, are more fun than anything else because Hawks enjoys using his feathers in games. Hawks dresses up like a cowboy for an entire month, quoting old western movies and driving everyone but a very proud Snipe up the wall. Hound Dog and Hawks go on walks together ALL THE TIME. They explore the woods around UA and Hound Dog tells Cementoss to change up the geography every once in a while so they have something new to explore. He teaches Hawks how to go camping and Hawks fricken adores him and is always on his shoulders just kicking his feet or napping in Hound Dogs hair. Ectoplasm is Hawks favorite person to play any kind of tag based game because the others are too easy to catch with his feathers. But with Ectoplasm and all his clones? hawks goes nuts. Ectoplasm cried once when Hawks asked Aizawa for peg legs for Halloween and when someone asks him if he wants to be a pirate he says no because he wants to be a super cool hero like Ecto for Halloween. No one will be as cool as him. Hawks fricken loves Vlad. Like, adores him. Whenever Vlad is in the room Hawks will just go hang off his shoulders, or tuck under his arms with a book to read, or just lean against him. He has a little stuffed bull dog that has Vlad’s exact resting bitch face and carries it with him every time he leaves the dorm because he feels safer with it. He goes to Vlad when he’s injured because Vlad just takes care of it, gives him a hug, and doesn’t tell him to be more careful. Just asks if Hawks learned something and moves on. Hawks and Nezu are penpals. They see eachother every single day, but they are penpals. Hawks grows up with the most beautiful calligraphy handwriting because he keeps trying to out-do Nezu’s. He absolutely tattles on every single teacher in these letters, giving Nezu years worth of blackmail. Hawks thinks Nezu is a stuffed animal until he is fourteen because Nezu never fesses up. He just thinks the staff is even cooler for letting a stuffed animal run the place. He only ever cries around Nezu.
-Kid!Hawks UA(Student edition): So many. There’s lines I’ve written where they’re still in school when Hawks is kidified. When they’re already pros. In Canon, in Hawks-sensei, I even a small blurb sentence of Deku running a preschool that Hawks gets put into in an AU with quirks still. I can’t even... there’s too many students, cause I’d do all 1-A and 1-B. My favorite one to randomly wake up in a panick and write about though is the one where it’s Hawks-sensei verse based and Kid!Hawks gets taken in by the Monoma family. Rui and Eiko are older and Monoma is a pro-hero by then. The pure amount of fluff, sass, and Hawks spoiling that will happen. Big Brother Rui and Bigger Sister Eiko.  I think about this one a lot.
-I’m currently (slowly but progressing) writing a gift for @saltwater-sweets where Kid!Hawks is taken in by the Uraraka family. Like, he’s not even shrunk in this one. Uraraka’s newlywed parents were involved in the accident he first saved people in and they found him before the Commission. They realized his homelife situation and opened their home to him and now he is Uraraka’s big brother and that one line I threw out there? About him being a global superpower in household moving? Teaming up with Uraraka for that? Yeah.
-Kid!League of Villains and adult Hawks. Yeah, you heard me. They all get shrunk instead of him. And he can’t just... turn them in. They’re kids. They haven’t done any of the crimes their older counterparts have. And if it’s a permanent thing? They stay kids? Then he has a chance to really, truly save them. To give them the happy lives stolen from them. The Commission doesn’t like that. So Hawks takes them and runs. Dabi can be an adult too, I guess, if that’s the ship or something, but I just really wanna write Kid!LOV and Dad!Hawks.
-Kid!Aizawa. Dad!Hawks. Same concept. Beautiful dream. Need I say more.
-Kid!Hawks, Best Jeanist
-Kid!Hawks Gang Orca
-Kid!Hawks RUMI!!
Vigilante Hawks:
- Raven was born and I dived down that rabbit hole so fast I went back in time. Raven. But from a way earlier age. Those guys mugging Hawks when he was fifteen? The spark. Hawks stayed on the streets, he never went back, and he learned some things. He got some freedom, learned some shit, and realized that hero society was pretty fucked up. Shigaraki starts the LOV up and realizes there’s this whole underground community he was never aware of that Hawks has been building for years. It’s great.
-Hawks was never found by the Commission so he was never ‘Hawks’. His Dad raised him as a criminal but Hawks, with his little heart of gold, took every chance he could to make something good out of the bad deeds. Then he got old enough and he took full control. You ever seen the Levi OVA’s of Attack on Titan? Where he’s walking down the stairs and you realize every single person there is part of a huge ass gang of awesome with Levi at the head? That. THAT.
-Hawks loses his shit in Canon and goes completely AWOL. full Feral. He sees the problems, and he is prepared to do whatever it takes get rid of them. Whatever it takes.
AU Hawks
-Horribly injured, recently retired at the ripe old age of 23, and looking for something to save him from depression. Hawks meets Todoroki Fuyumi who gets him a job at her school. This one makes my brain happy.
-Takami Keigo and Todoroki Natsuo meet in college, graduate together, join the same hospital, and open one as partners as soon as they can. Ship or no ship, they go through their entire lives together. (I just... I really like the Todoroki sibs, okay?)
-Takami Keigo was born a lot earlier. So much, earlier, in fact that he is classmates with this overly optimistic ball of light named Yagi Toshinori and the grumpy ball of flame Todoroki Enji. Big Three anyone? Also, everyone needs a dumb smart birb to keep them sane. Hawks loves his friends, and he’ll kick anyone’s ass that tries to hurt them be it physically, mentally, or emotionally. Also, he meets Nana.
-I LOVE THE IMAGINARY KAMAKIRI FAMILY DYNAMIC OKAY?! literally anything with Hawks involved in their lives, okay?! I did not expect to spiral so hard when I made up Hideo and his relationship with Kamakiri but my god did I spiral! I just really love them!
-I’m a sucker for the classics. Tattoo/flower. Coffee shop. College. Roommates. Love.
- (she made me write this) a story surrounding the amazing love story of my sister and Iida Tenya with Aizawa crashes the wedding even though he was invited and Mirio is her maid of honor, with Eri as the ring bearer, and All Might is the flower girl. Twice is the officiator. Uraraka releases a flock of fake pigeons (not real ones cause they don’t deserve that). Oh, and everyone else is there too, I guess. Except for Mineta. Cause he’s in jail.
Right now, at this very moment, I can not for the life of me think of any others but I KNOW there’s at least seven more that I just can’t remember because my brain is work dead. Wyv. @wyvernspirit do you see what you’ve opened here? Close the box! Close it before it’s too late! There is always more! I am never without MORE ideas!

Demon (Boku No Hero) - Chapter 5
Tumblr media
Warning: Swearing
I smile after Bakugo drop me off at my house.
“Thank you for coming with me.” I say to him smiling. “Do not tell anyone about this!” He says to me serious. “What? That you can be nice?” I say joking. “SHUT UP EXTRA!” He screams leaving. “Bye Bakugo!” I say laughing and entering my house.
The time passed quickly and Dad arrived at home and I leave my room to greet him.” Welcome home Dad.” I say, and he turns his buff figure to his skeleton mode and points his finger at me “YOU! HOW DARE YOU?” He screams. “What?” I ask confused. “Your costume! It showed too much skin!” He says dramatically crying. “Ohhh! That! Payback is a bitch isn’t Dad?” I say smirking, this was my revenge for making me train Izuku, even if I would do it voluntarily and for not telling me Aizawa-sensei was my home room teacher.
  Next Day
The moment I arrived at U.A. a bunch of journalists starting putting their microphones on my face. “Take those things away from my face.” I say only to be ignored by them. “How are All Might classes? What do you think of All Might as a teacher?” A woman starts yelling at my face and I start to get irritated, red mist starting to show on my hands then suddenly someone grabs my arm and pulls me away from the journalist, I look up the persons arm and see Bakugo with his usual scowl on his face. “Bakugo.” I think blushing a little since he doesn’t let go of my arm. “Oh? You’re the one who was caught by the sludge villain....” The journalist doesn’t stop. “Sludge villain?” I think confused seeing Bakugo getting angrier. “Stop it!” Bakugo says between his teeth, then we enter school grounds safely. “Thank you, Bakugo.” I say smiling at him. “You need to control your Quirk.” He says letting go of my arm. “I know.” I say sad looking at my hands. “Hm.” He hums, and we went to our classroom in silence.
“Good work on yesterday’s combat training. I saw the video and results.” Aizawa-sensei says. “Oh no....” I think scared. “Bakugo, you’re talented, so don’t act like a kid.” Aizawa-sensei says. “I know.” Bakugo says. “Midoriya, you settled in by breaking your arm again, huh? You can’t keep saying you can’t help it because you can’t control your Quirk. I don’t like saying the same thing over and over. As long as you fix the control issue, there’s a lot you’ll be able to do. Feel a sense of urgency, Midoriya.” Aizawa-sensei says, and I smile a little towards the broccoli boy. “Yes, sir!” Izuku says smiling. “And Aka.” Aizawa-sensei says slowly and deadly making me sweat nervous. “Control your emotions, you did a good job controlling your Quirk, but be more careful. Act more with your head than your heart.” Aizawa-sensei says and I nod understanding.
“Now let’s go down to home room business.” Aizawa-sensei continues. “Sorry about the late notice, but today, I’ll have you....” The suspense was killing everyone in the room. “...decide on a class representative.” Aizawa-sensei says making everyone sigh in relief for such a normal school activity. “I want to be class rep! Pick me!” Kirishima says excited then almost everyone follows his lead. “Let me do it! Me!” I see a very angry excited pomeranian yell his hand in the air and I laugh at him. “YOU BETTER VOTE FOR ME DEMON!” Bakugo yells at me. “When hell freezes!” I say sarcastically making him yell more at me and me yell back. “Kacchan.....Aka-chan....” Izuku thinks watching the two pair yell but shocked, and he sees Aka laugh and Bakugo smirks at her happy even if they were screaming at each other.
“Silence, please!” Lida yells making the class go silence. “It is a job with the serious responsibility of leading others. It is not a job just anyone who wants to do it.” Lida says, not stop talking. “His really serious about his, huh?” I think, then I see Aizawa-sensei on his yellow bag sleeping on the floor. “Seriously.” I think shaking my head. Everyone starts voting and the results are in.
                                        Izuku Midoriya   - 3 votes
                                         Akuma Aka      - 2 votes
                                    Momo Yaoyorozu - 2 votes
                                          Lida Tenya      - 1 vote
“I got three votes!” Izuku screams shocked. “Eh? Two votes?” I ask very confused. “Why Deku?! Who voted for him?!” Bakugo gets up angry. “Well, it’s better than voting for you.” Sero says making me laugh and Bakugo glare at us. “What did you say?!” Bakugo screams. “One vote....” I hear Lida say shocked. “Since Aka and Yaoyorozu are tied, decide it yourselves.“ A tired sensei says. “You can go Yaoyorozu-san, I really don’t feel like having too much responsibility I think you would do better.” I say smiling at the ponytail girl who smiles back. “Thank you Aka-san.” She says, then her and Izuku go stand in front of the class with a very shaking Izuku. “Then, the class rep is Midoriya, and the deputy class rep will be Yaoyorozu.” Aizawa-sensei says. “S..S..Seriously? Seriously?” We hear Izuku mumbler. “Oh Izu-kun..” I think getting nervous for the boy.
Lunchtime comes and this time I eat with Izuku, Ochaco and Lida. “Food is so good!” I say eating the rice making Ochaco nod. “This rice is so good.” She says and both of us smile. “Even though I’ve been chosen as class rep, I don’t know if I’m qualified for it.” Izuku says looking at his food. “You are.” Uraraka says. “You’ll be fine Izu-kun!” I say concentrating more in eating so, I missed Lida talking. “It was you?” Izuku asks. “Hm?” I say finally paying attention. “So you and Ochaco voted for Izu-kun?” I ask and both nod. “You were the third vote Aka-chan?” Izuku asks me. “No, sorry Izu-kun.” I say sad, but he smiles at me relief. “I voted Lida.” I continue. “You were my vote.” Lida says shocked. “Yes, I think you would be perfect for the job.” I say. “Thank you Aka-san.” Lida bows at me. “I wonder who voted for me, I know one vote was probably Shoto.” I say. “You know him Aka-chan?” Ochaco asks me. “Yes, since we were young.” I say. “It was Kaachan.” Izuku suddenly says. “Hm?” The three of us says confused looking at Izuku who was smiling at me. “Your second vote was Kaachan.” He says, and I look shocked at him trying not to blush hearing Ochaco giggle a little. “No it wasn’t.” I denied but Izuku and Ochaco both smile at me giggling, and I look to the other side not wanting to look at them and surprisingly my eyes move directly to where Bakugo was, who was already looking at me, almost blushing I take my eyes of him and try to listen to Lida who was talking about his brother, but no success since I had an angry pomeranian on my mind.
Suddenly we start hearing a loud alarm. “What is happening?” I ask confused. “An alarm?!” Izuku says, and a voice came through the alarm. “There has been a Level 3 security breach. All students please evacuate outdoors promptly.” The voice says. “Shit.” I say while everyone panics and everything turn into absolute chaos.
All the students were trying to run to the exit making everyone to be on top of each other and pushing everyone in panic. “Stop pushing!” I say and everyone pushes me. “Dumb people!” I say starting to get angry especially seeing my friends being squished. “Oi! STOP PUSHING!” I start screaming angry making red mist start appearing on my body until someone pushes me hard on someone chest. “Oi! Calm down!” The person says putting his arms around me. “Bakugo!” I say looking up seeing his face so close to mine, then everyone started to push us both. “Damn it these extras!” Bakugo says when the push us against the glass wall, in seconds Bakugo changes our position making me go back on the glass wall and him in front of me with his hands beside my head, I blush hard when I notice his chest touching my boobs making him blush too. “Sorry.” He whispers. “Don’t worry.” I say knowing he wasn’t doing it on purpose, and I was also trying not to feel his abs then I became serious when I look outside the window and see the press. “Bakugo.” I say gesturing with my head, and he also looks outside and becomes angry. “That damn press started all these!” He says.
“Look!” I say to him and both of us see Lida flying across the room and land on top of the exit. “Everyone, everything is fine! It is just the media! There is nothing to panic about. Everything is fine! This is U.A. Let us act in a way befitting the best of the best.” Lida screams and all the students stopped panicking, making me sigh in relief since we finally have space and Bakugo stops leaning on the glass but still stays close to me. “Thank you.” I say to him, and he only nods still glaring at the press.
Were back at the classroom after all that panic, and I couldn’t stop thinking about the position me and Bakugo were without knowing he was thinking the same. “What are these feelings?” Bakugo and I think. “Come on, class rep. Start.” Yaoyoruzu says to Izuku. “N..Now, let us decide on the other class officers...” Izuku says nervous. “ But first, can I say something? I think...that Lida Tenya should be the class rep after all!” Izuku says explaining why Lida would be better than him and everyone in the class agrees.
 Couple hours later
“For today’s hero basic training, it’s turned into a class with three instructors, All Might and me, and one more person.” Aizawa-sensei says. “Hm.” I think suspicious. “Is Dad time strong enough for it?” I also think. “Excuse me! What will we be doing?” Sero asks. “Disasters, shipwrecks and everything in between. It’s rescue training.” Aizawa-sensei says holding a card that says Rescue. “I hope I don’t lose control.” I think while my classmates talk excited. “Hey, I’m not done.” Aizawa-sensei says getting everyone attention. “You can decide if you want to wear your costume or not this time, because there are probably costumes that limit your abilities, too. The training will take place off-campus, so we’re taking a bus. That is all. Start getting ready.” Aizawa-sensei says and everyone went to the changing rooms.
Remembering The Costume:  (Instead of blue is red)
Tumblr media
Everyone was already outside, Ochaco and I left the changing room together and see Izuku in the U.A. uniform. “Izu-kun?” I say getting his attention making him blush seeing me in the costume. “Oh, you’re wearing your P.E. clothes. Where’s your costume?” Ochaco ask him, and I left them talking seeing Bakugo behind Izuku with his incomplete costume. “Eh? Only one bomb? What? Did the other explode while you were getting ready?” I say teasing the blonde. “Shut up! This is a rescue training, I need one hand free and this weigh a lot.” Bakugo explains trying to focus on my face. “I see, I see.” I say smirking. “And you’re still going like that?” He asks looking me up and down. “What? I don’t see the problem.” I say looking at myself. “YOU’RE ALMOST NAKED GODDAMMIT!” Bakugo screams lecturing me while I just stay there laughing while the class look at us strangely. “I didn’t expect to Kaachan and Aka-chan to be this close.” Izuku thinks smiling watching the pair. “I’m happy for them.”
“Class 1-A, gather round!” Lida says, whistling in a whistle. “When did he get a whistle?” I ask and Bakugo only shrug his shoulder not knowing. “Form two lines by your student numbers in order to make boarding the bus go smoothly!” Lida says. We enter the bus, and notice the bus was different since the front the seats were by the window faces to each other while the back was like a normal bus, we enter, and I sit next to Bakugo who was by the window. “Shoot. I didn’t think it’d be this type of bus.” Lida says while everyone is already seated and the bus was moving.
Everyone was talking to each other, so I took the opportunity to close my eyes and rest a little until I hear Asui. “Midoriya-chan.” She says. “Um, yes, Asui?” Izuku asks. “Call me Tsu. Your Quirk is like All Might.” Asui says making me open my eyes and stop breathing nervous. “Does she now?” I think. “Huh?! Y...Y...You think so?” Izuku asks nervous, but then Kirishima comes and save him making me sigh in relief then smile nervous at Bakugo who was looking at me weirdly.

BNHA Ship to Finish the Year
KodaNuki (Kodai Yui x Honenuki Juzo)
Canon
When they graduate, they end up in the same agency.
The two are good friends, but they get closer when Kodai's PR asks Juzo for help.
Due to her resting unimpressed face, Kodai is not doing well in her publicity, so they ask him, who seems to be close to her, for help.
Juzo is supposed to talk to her, to try and convince her to smile more.
At first, he talks with her, trying to make her smile for the cameras. But it's very obvious she is not good at it either.
Her smiles look fake, and it looks like she is being coerced to be in the pictures and look happy.
It takes him a while, but he finally discovers a way to make smile, funny faces.
Yui Kodai, badass hero extraordinaire, giggles like a little girl if you make funny faces at her.
And Juzo's face, that makes the task of making her laugh easy.
The next time she has an interview, he places himself somewhere the cameras can't see him but where he is in direct line of sight with Kodai.
When the interview starts, whenever it's a good moment for her to giggle or smile, he starts doing faces.
It works. Kodai smiles, and the next day, her smile is plastered all over the city.
But during that interview, something happened to Juzo. When he was making Yui smile, he couldn't help but feel like Kodai's smile was for him, and the two were the only people around.
It's like being hit with cupids arrow.
It's fast, it's unexpected, and it hurts.
Because when he gets the resolve to talk about their feelings, he finds her getting ready for a date.
He knew she had been chatting with Iida Tenya lately, but didn't know this was the direction it was taking.
He tries to be happy for her, but he doesn't like lying to her. But that changes when he learns that she will be moving away.
So, he tells her how he feels. He doesn't do it to make her break up with Iida or anything like that, he just wants her to know how he feels.
Kodai is confused, but she moves anyway.
A year later, they reunite in a class b reunion. Juzo is single, and Kodai broke up with Iida a month ago.
The two talk during the rest of the night, and then get coffee together at her place.
They don't start dating right away, since Kodai is still not over Iida, and doesn't think she is ready for another relationship at the moment.
Juzo understands and they sort of agree that they are something, but they are taking it slow.
Four years later, they get married.
Family
Kodai's family is just her mom and her dad.
Unlike her, the two are super energetic.
They smile and laugh obnoxiously, scream and jump like excited children. It's a little bit surprising, since Yui is not that emotional.
The two are very happy to meet Juzo.
They make a feast for their meeting, and they present it with so much love that, he can't say no when they offer more.
He goes out of that with five more pounds than when he first came in.
When Juzo went to their home, he was expecting them to be put off by his face, but Yui's parents don't care. They are like two little kids, living in their innocent little world and accepting everything at face value.
Juzo's family is composed of his mother and his two little sisters.
I don't know why I imagine him with having a dead parent. Maybe it's how he is so responsible, makes me think he has more experience.
His mom is a famous hero-suits designers. She doesn't have that much money, but is well-off.
When she goes to meet them, the moment she steps inside their home, Kodai is surrounded by two teens.
Juzo's sisters are hero fanatics, and teens, so they ask her up a storm. They especially like female heroes, so they love Kodai already.
Juzo's mom also loves her, and asks her if she would let her re-design her hero-outfit.
I imagine that Juzo's mouth is from his mom, but unlike he, she uses a mask to cover it.
I think they would have two sons.
The first one is named Oyugo (swim), and his quirk is to soften his body enough that it can turn into goo. He can't move when he is like that, however.
The second son is named Kukku (cook), and his quirk is that he can soften other stuff to the point it becomes goo. He can also make them smaller.
You might be wondering why I chose those names. Well, I first thought about Oyugo, and I kind of liked the idea that he liked to cook, and he becomes a very successful chef.
But when I created the second son, and I was thinking what I could name him, I thought: 'Wouldn't it be funny if I named him cook, but made him a swimmer, like it got mixed up with his brother?... wait,'
So, here we are.
Oyugo becomes a chef, and Kukku becomes an Olympic swimmer.
I like to think that they have Juzo's mouth, but have Kodai's unemotional face. They have the best Halloween pranks thanks to that, since it's a terrifying sight to look at that.
AU - Theater Geek Couple AU
This is a High school AU, but I didn't want to name it that, so I didn't.
Kodai is a theatre kid who is shy outside of the stage.
There is a fan-club entirely dedicated to her. She has no idea it exists.
Juzo is a geek who helps with the costumes for the school's plays. He is a great cosplayer, and uses the school's resources sometimes, but he makes good costumes.
He likes Kodai, but he is too shy to even talk to her. He thought of joining her fan-club, but it's just a bunch of guys drooling over her in a creepy fashion. He knows they come to all the plays she's been in, and that sometimes they stalk her on social media.
He is a little afraid they might try something else, so he tells the security guy and the drama teacher.
That is how they end up talking to each other on the first place.
The fan-club starts hanging outside their door after rehearsal, so they ask Juzo to accompany Kodai to her home.
Since he has seen them and knows who they are, he can identify them easily.
At first, they don't talk much. But as Juzo keeps walking her home, they start becoming friends.
Kodai start asking about his cosplay, and he shows her pictures, and one day, she asks if she can do it too. Juzo falls a little harder for her.
They start working on a couple costume and spending more time together.
But then, the fan-club start creeping up more. They go backstage to leave roses and gifts for her, which she doesn't want. It scares her a little, and she asks Juzo to stay with her at her home, since her parents are not going to be there tonight.
He accepts, and as they see some movies and drink a cup of coffee, they start leaning closer.
They don't get to kiss though, since a flash interrupts them.
Juzo goes to investigate and finds some of the guys from the fan-club. They ran when they see him, but they drop the camera.
When the two check it out, they see that they have been taking pictures of her in her home. Nothing that they could blackmail her with, she is dressed in all of them, but it is worrying they have so many pictures.
They call the police and her parents, and they fill a restraining order.
While that is being taken care of, Juzo stays with her until her parents finish talking with the cops.
They don't talk about the almost kiss, but she does sneak a shy cheek kiss.
They go to the con together, dressed as a Titan and Levi. Yui is Levi and Juzo is the Titan.
They have fun, and they act like they are on a date. When he takes her home, they finally kiss and start dating.
All of this AU developed from the idea of Kodai and Juzo cosplaying Attack on Titan, for Juzo's mouth.
Fanon Opinion
The two are too much of a background character for me to come up with anything.
Even after the Joint Training arc, they weren't used much, or at least, Kodai wasn't used much.
I think they are a cute couple.
They seem like those couples who have like no drama in their lives, but really they are just good at dealing with issues.
I think they would be a couple who succeeds at communication, even if Kodai doesn't talk much.
In my mind that helps, because it means that when she does talk, people pay attention, since it means that whatever she is saying is important enough to be voiced.
There's no art about them that I could find.
There is Fanfiction about her, but she is not paired with Honenuki in any of them.
Kodai is either paired with other girls or with Iida.
And there are a few where she is with Sero or Midoriya.
And Honenuki is paired a lot with Shihai or other boys, sometimes with girls.
The gays are taking over. YAY!
I don't think many think about this couple. They are two shy people, and people usually prefer if there is more of a difference between their two characters for a ship.
I like the two as characters, and I have nothing against them as a couple. But being honest, they are not a ship I would look content for.
Like, if it appears or they in the background, I have no problem with it. But they are not a ship I would say: 'Oh, I wonder how this dynamic is!'.
I guess my problem is more to do with importance. They are extras in the manga, so I don't really care much about them.
I mean, they are background characters.
I wish we could have more about them, and the rest of class B.

Yandere! Shigaraki x Reader; All An Illusion
tw: kidnapping, messed up relationship, parental abuse, eating disorder, knifes, gayness, depression, stalking
❤️ Enjoy the series! one two
I know heroes are supposed to hate villains with a passion and don't get me wrong, I do. But, my alarm clock comes close in second. I slap that sucker with my fist, sending it to the ground and unplugging it. " I hate Mondays," I tell myself, dragging myself out of bed and putting on my white fuzzy socks. As I walk to the bathroom, I take my icy blue, almost white hair out of the ponytail that is half undone.
Looking into the mirror, I almost am scared of myself. I look like a zombie. I put on some music and wash my face before going to the closet. My dorm room isn't huge, but it's nice. Especially since my roommate is one of the gayest, most fanboyish guy in the world. "Deku! Did you take my concealer again?" I shake the broccoli headed boy, waking him up.
"Wha- oh, ya. Sorry Y/n, it helps cover up all the bruises from training. I don't like anyone worrying about me, and with all the news reporters, I'm scared my mom will see." I think of Deku's mom.
So nice, so sweet, and such a good cook.
"Yea, you're lucky about that one." I sadly smile, taking it from his bedside table. "Just let me buy you your own, or get your boyfriend to buy you one. What if you wake up someday and you're tan?" I tease as he throws a pillow in my direction. "Todoroki isn't just my boyfriend Y/n, he's my soulmate. Don't be jelly." he jokes. "At least my eyes didn't look like Christmas colors until this year." We both giggle hysterically.
In our world, everyone is born with two different colored eyes. Our left color is the one of our soulmate, and the right one is our own color. Once we make eye contact with our soulmates, they return back to their original color. My eyes are red on the left, and then purple.
I go to the opposite wall and open the windows, letting the sunrise fill our view. Even though Deku covers his face with a pillow, I can't help but watch the birds in the distance. They're free to go wherever, be with whoever. They're not stuck in a certain place, they fly everywhere and anywhere they want to.
I do some makeup and curl my hair a little bit before slipping into my uniform. "Y/n, you've been getting skinnier. Are you okay?" Deku asks, waiting for me by the door. He's already in the UA uniform and is currently eating one of the donuts his mom brought for us yesterday. "Oh ya, I've just been training so much it's hard to find time to eat. But I'm fine. See?"
I grab a donut and take a bite, chewing it slowly and giving him a fake smile. He smiles back, relieved as I slip on my shoes and take a final look in the mirror, trying not to throw up. My eyes are purple, but today they're looking extra vibrant. Maybe it's the sunlight filling the room, or the fact that I cried myself to sleep last night. Either way, they look different. Deku and I walk down the hall as I try to find a way to get the bite of donut out of my mouth without him seeing.
I haven't eaten anything for over 48 hours, and I can't have the first thing be full of calories and sugar. Finally, we get to the classroom. When Deku walks in, I immediately spit it out and stuff the donut into the nearby trash can where nobody can see. I feel bad about wasting food, but I would feel worse if anybody knew about me not eating. I sit down in Bakugo's seat so I can talk to Deku, eventually talking to Todoroki and Mina.
Finally, Mr. Aizawa comes into class, followed by someone I don't know, and we all sit down. "Today we are going on a trip to the USJ for some training. Go change, and come straight back." I quickly go up as Mina and Asui join by my side to walk to the girls changing area. I hate this part with a dying passion, letting everyone see my scars, bruises, and ribs. It always starts a conversation that I don't like, making people worry about me.
"So Y/n, I've been thinking. You haven't told me about a single crush that you've had since we got here. What's up with that?" Mina looks at me with curiosity. "I just don't see the point in dating someone who's not your soulmate. It seems like a waste of time." Mina laughs at my response, taking off her uniform and changing.
"I've noticed that too, actually. I-" Uruaka stops talking as I take off my shirt. Everyone's eyes bug out, looking at the colorful display on my body. A large gash is in the middle of my shoulder, and another as my hip. There's a new scar near my collar bone and a large bruise on my upper stomach. " Y/n... What happened?"
Ururaka steps closer to examine me, before reaching out to touch the large scar on my arm. "Uh, Sensei has been training me extra hard lately. It's fine." I quickly put on my uniform outfit and fix my hair as Mina tries to start up the other conversation. "Anyways, do you really not like anyone else? What about Kirishima, or Sero? Personally I thought you'd be cute with Asui, or Momo. But Momo already is soulmates with Jirou, and Ururaka is soulmates with Asui."
I laugh, thinking about how all my friends have been able to find their soulmate in our class, except me. It's kind of sad honestly. Is it impossible for me to develop feelings for people? Am I that hopeless? Maybe my soulmate is gone, or has found someone else. Maybe I’ll never find them.
Ururaka chimes in, but I blank her out mostly. "Maybe Tenya, but he gives me asexual vibes. I think you'd be cute with Shinso but..." I stopped listening as we walked to the courtyard of UA, where everyone else waited. "Fashionably late is not acceptable ladies. I expect you earlier next time." Aizawa told us as they stopped talking. "And ( y/n ), take your contacts off."
I slid the contacts out and into my contact case. We all loaded up on the bus as Lida gave all the boys a hard time about the seating chart. I sat between Mina and Asui near the window, playing footsies with Momo for a little bit before I put my music in. Just loud enough to drown everyone out, I rested my eyes.
I guess it would be good to tell you about myself. Well, you already know I have icy blue hair that turned even lighter since I've been in the sun so much. My skin is darker than my friends, but I wouldn't call myself tan. I'm Y/n Kayama, the daughter of Kora and Magazaki Kayama. Kora Kayama, my mother, is currently in rehab for her addiction to her meds. The nurses at her facility tell me all the time that she says terrible things about me. It's not a surprise to me though, she always hated me. My dad wasn't any better though, as he drunk a lot and hurt me a lot before we got the dorms system.
That's what all the bruises were from, not training, but my dad's fist. He was a gang member, who went to prison for trying to attacking a fellow gang member, and sent my mom to rehab because she was the only one in his way of having complete custody over us. He was obsessed with completely controlling us... well, I say us, but it’s just me now.
My sister killed herself last fall when I got into UA, she knew I'd be able to take care of myself and wouldn't need her to live. She felt her only reason for living was to keep me safe, and when we got dorms, she felt she was finally free. I remember watching her jump off the large red bridge downtown, the smile on her face. She hadn't smiled like that in a while.
When my dad showed up to the school and demanded to see me, his breath smelling like alcohol and his tattoos showing, Aizawa knew something was up. Aizawa and my father had been acquaintances when they were kids, but my dad went down the wrong path. Aizawa knew about the drinking, smoking, gangs, and his violent attitude. Aizawa instantly looked over me and my sister from the moment my mom went to rehab, knowing that my dad wasn't a good parent.
Aizawa and eventually Present Mic gave us rides and cared for us in general. I had only seen Aizawa cry two times, once when Mic almost died in a villain attack, and the day of my sister's funeral.
Oh right, my quirk. Silly me. My quirk is theft, which means that when I look someone in the eye, I inherit their quirk for 24 hours. The best part is that I can use multiple quirks at once.  The bad part is that when I accidentally look at someone, I end up using their quirk. I once looked at Ururaka and began floating. I also looked into Mina's eyes and turned pink. We looked like sisters though so it was cool. I do have a bad memory though, so I often forget my contacts. I didn't take the entrance exam since my quirk can't work against robots without me using someone else.
Instead, Aizawa recommended me to take the special exam. Deku idolizes All Might, but I idolize Aizawa. Aizawa has known me since I was born. I think about what Mina said, and I can admit that I've never felt love like that. Maybe it's because I was never loved as a child, or never saw a loving marriage except for Aizawa and Mic, but I've never felt for someone in that way.
Sure, I love my friends to death and would do anything to help them, including risk my own life, but it's different. I've never felt connected with someone, even if they've ask me out or something. Lida asked me out once in middle school, and Denki perused me multiple times before he found Sero, but I never was able to say yes. Mina and I made out at spin the bottle once, but it was more fun than romantic.
" Y/n, we are here. Please wake up." I woke up to Lida playfully poking my face as everyone else giggled. Immediately Lida's quirk registered in my brain. It was okay, I had used Lida's quirk before. "O-oh sorry, I must have fallen asleep." The class laughed as Lida smiled. "I recommend that you get more sleep immediately. Deku has told me about how you lay awake watching makeup tutorials, so maybe you can go to Recovery Girl and-"
I cut him off by pushing my finger to his face. "I'm good, thanks." I walk past him to Mina and the girls who are waiting for me. Immediately I inherited Ururaka's quirk. It was hard to control, but I had an effect on my shoes that kept me stuck to the ground until I used her quirk. As we walk up to the USJ, I see it's a large dome with different areas of natural disasters. I hope I get the building on fire or the ocean. I can run on water with Lida's quirk, and float above the fire with Ururaka's quirk.
"Hello 1-A students, I am Thirteen. I've looked at your files here for recommendations, and right now we will be working on rescuing people from natural disasters." Thirteen sets down files with our profiles. I can’t help but be curious about what’s in mine.
" Now, I want to send you all to the biomes that will challenge you, and challenge the way you go about rescuing others. Now if I can have Shoto Todoroki, Bakugo Katsuki, Izuku Midoriya, ( y/n ) Kayama, and then Denki Kaminari to go to the mountain land. You will be dealing with an avalanche, and then getting people to the bottom safely with no equipment. Go ahead, and wait for the buzzer before you start."
I linked arms with Midoryia, registering his quirk, as we walked towards the mountain, eventually joining up with Todoroki. As I made eye contact with Todoroki, I felt a cooling sensation on my left and a heating sensation on my right. "Nervous?" Todoroki asked, grabbing onto Deku's waist romantically. " A little, but at least broken bones aren't an issue anymore. I am worried about the-", "Ugh, you guys make me sick!" Bakugo yelled out from behind me. I try not to make eye contact with Bakugo. I don't like his quirk. It makes me sweat, and it’s way too sweaty.
"You're just upset that Kiri isn't here," I smirk as his face turns pink all over. "At least I have someone who likes me." he snickers before walking over to Denki. I watch him walk off, and realize he's right. I'm unlovable, or else my parents would have liked me. I might have someone by now if I wasn't so broken. Maybe I'll never find my soulmate, or they won't like me. I finally come to my senses and realize that the buzzer hasn't sounded yet. Is everything working right?
I look around to see that everyone else is confused too. Even the volunteers I can see on top of the mountain are looking around. Suddenly, a large boom comes from the middle of the USJ. I begin to go up the mountain towards the volunteer when I hear screaming. I turn around and see Deku, looking down at the center. I gasp, watching a large purple portal open in the middle and many people walking out.
"Is this part of it?" Denki asks as Deku shakes his head. I register Denki’s quirk. Now is not the time! "No! That's the League of Villains, I've seen them on the News! They're not good news!" Todoroki suddenly grabs me and Deku, building an ice tower high off the ground with us on top. "We need to stay safe up here, who knows what they want."
Before I can even gasp, I look out into the center to see the entire league running towards the mountain area. "Bakubro, what do we do!?" I looked behind myself to see Denki and Bakugo on one of the mountain ledges. "I don't know, but they want something." I can hear my teeth chattering, and I can't help but feel dizzy already. Luckily, Todoroki has me and Deku in his tight, protective grip. I never thought Todoroki liked me, since me and his boyfriend spent so much time together.
The league is now under us though, and I can picture out two familiar faces out of the group. Toga Himiko, a villain with a quirk for blood cloning, and Twice, a guy who can make copies of himself. We can take them and a bunch of villains I've never heard of. We are about to attack when I hear something that makes my legs shake. "Y/n~Senpai! We've come for you!" Toga yells up, making direct eye contact with us.
Todoroki and Deku look at me, as I can feel Bakugo and Denki staring at me from behind. "I don't know what's happening," I whisper to them, and they nod. They trust me, and can probably read the fear in my eyes. "Come up here and fight us for her you reject!" Bakugo yells down as them as Toga giggles.
"Orrrr... you can come down here!" She yells as one of the random villains touches the ice tower. Immediately the tower begins to turn into melting sludge as we begin to fall to them. Todoroki grabs Deku and me, jumping and creating an ice path for them to walk on. The only issue is that Todoroki grabs my hair instead, and I begin to fall towards the villains.
Luckily Denki's hand is there to grab me and pull me up. "Get behind me," Bakugo commands as sparks begin to fly out of his hands. "No, I can fight for myself. I don't need y-" Bakugou and Denki physically push me behind them. "No, they have a portal quirk with someone. They get their hands on you for a split second and you're gone." Denki explains as I sigh. Boys.
"Now stay back," Bakugo growls, scaring me a little bit. I wonder how Kirishima deals with this all the time. Bakugo and Denki step towards the front of the ledge, making me step towards the back. I sigh, still shaking from fear and nervousness. Why are all these people here for me? What do they want? How do they know my name? What did I do to deserve this? Do they want to kill me?
Looking out into the center, I can see all of my classmates are fighting villains while Aizawa and Thirteen are trying to get to us. But they can't, with a weird creature that looks like a bird but has an exposed brain and is purple. It's kicking Aizawa's ass too, which is depressing. I back against the wall and shut my eyes tight, wishing they would let me protect myself. Suddenly I feel a sharp pain in my neck, and look to see Toga, right next to me, holding a knife to my neck. I register Toga's quirk accidentally.
"Oh, boys. Some protectors you are." Bakugo and Denki look behind them to see us, their eyes wide in horror. "Y/n! Let her go Toga!" Deku yells, trying to get to me, but Todoroki holds him back in fear. Everyone looks scared out of their minds, which they probably are. I know I am freaking out, trying to think of some way to get out of here. Some hero I am!
"Toga, don't hurt her," Denki whispers, trying to inch closer. "Not another step lightning-boy!" Toga threatens, pushing me closer to the edge of the mountain. I look way down, seeing how deep the side of the mountain goes. That's surely a deadly drop, and who would save me? Nobody. "You won't push her off, and I know it. Not after you all did all this work, just to kill a random student? Seems pretty useless.", Bakugo begins to take a step.
"Kacchan don't!" Deku yells, right before my life flashes before my eyes. Toga pushes me off the cliff, and I plummet to the ground. I look up to see Aizawa and a few other students watching me, their faces filled with sorrow, regret, and fear. I'm going to die right here. At the hands of an amateur villain attack. How pathetic. They know I'm going to die too.
As I hit the ground, I fall into a purple void that consumes me. I hear yelling, screaming, even blood-curdling screeches as I enter a dark room. Immediately the portal closes behind me, and I'm left inside a dark basement. I try to look around, but the moment I move, a thick cloth covers my eyes, and a towel is stuffed into my mouth.
I can feel picked up, and thrown into a room. I hear a door slam, and then laughing. I smell something weird, and before I realize it, a gas fills the room and puts me to sleep. I've been kidnapped by the League of Villains, and now I have no idea where I am.

If you're still taking requests, could you do what would happen of Iida had died when he tried committing suicide if you're not busy?
What if Harper was too late? Her ears wouldn’t stop ringing. She’d finally gotten the door down, but she knew the moment she landed in Iida’s front yard that she hadn’t been fast enough. He must’ve texted her last minute, because she’d made good time. Harper had ran, and stumbled up to their door. But as far and as strongly as she reached forth with her quirk, she couldn’t find him. Not even an inkling. Tenya’s feelings were too strong to be overlooked by her when she was searching the way she was. So her ears were ringing, and she wasn’t sure they’d ever stop. She could remember crying. It was like her world cut to static as she had Kurogiri apply pressure while she started palpitations. His mother had let out a choked sob, fumbling with the phone but eventually getting 911 on the line. She hadn’t been able to say much, so Harper had demanded the device. She wedged it between her shoulder and the side of her head, never stopping in her endeavors to revive her friend. The girl didn’t even remember what she said. Apparently, she gave them an address and a rundown of what was happening. She couldn’t recall. She didn’t want to. Everyone was crying. Of course they were, because how could they not? Iida had died. Harper knew it was partially her fault, too. Not only was she too late, but she didn’t do enough to help. She should’ve told more people. Revealed her quirk, maybe. Sero had been arrested, so she could’ve. She should have. And she fucking didn’t, and now Tenya was gone.  “It’s okay, Harper.” Tensei Iida was someone she’d communicated with a lot over the past few days. He looked gaunter than before, with dark circles beneath his eyes, which seemed permanently red-rimmed. He was pale and depressed, and hurting so bad Harper felt like breaking down all over again. Nobody loved Tenya more than Tensei. Nobody. “It wasn’t your fault. I know you-” “I knew.” Harper breathed. She’d already told him about her quirk and all she knew, but he still insisted it wasn’t her. That Tenya had been in pain for a long time. He said he’d noticed it in the past, but had brushed it off and hadn’t acted. He hadn’t looked further, and that was on him as a brother.  “That doesn’t make it your fault.” Tensei said quietly. “Knowledge isn’t responsibility. You informed the necessary adults and did your best. You were there for him when you didn’t have to be. I knew he valued you.” “But he’s gone.” Harper croaked. She felt cold.  “I know.” Tensei’s hand squeezed her. When had he grabbed it? “But we’re not. And that’s something, Harper. He didn’t want us to be upset. He said so.” Harper looked down, closing her eyes and taking a slow deep breath. Tenya had left letters for everyone. For his classmates and his teachers. For his mom, and for his dad. For his brother and his cousins, and his grandparents. Aunts, uncles, distant relatives, neighbors-- Harper. She hadn’t wanted to read it at first, but she’d never been one to beat around the bush. But now that she’d read the words, they were seared into her mind. Harper knew she’d never forget them. Not for as long as she lived. The paper was with her now, folded up carefully in her pocket. It felt like it was burning a hole through her jeans. Like it would set her alight. She almost wished it would. Maybe then she wouldn’t feel so chilled.
Dear Harper, It’s okay.  I know you, but I don’t. It’s okay that you hide things. I think that if anyone would have a good reason to keep secrets, it would be you. I’m not mad. Whatever you’re keeping, don’t feel guilt over it. I know you have the best intentions, because there are parts of you I know well. You are kind, and somehow... somehow you know. You know how I feel. I can tell you’re trying to curb it. You counter my thoughts. You know what I’m thinking and mirror it, glaring back so defiantly. You act cold and distant, but you wrap me in something warm. But something on the outside won’t help with what’s in me. I’m sick, and though I know there’s a chance I could get better, I’m tired. Too tired. I want you to be a hero for me. I want you to save people and make them feel hope. I can’t. I feel sick and heavy all the time, and I’m exhausted. I can’t keep going anymore. There’s an ache in me that time will not feel. Nothing has happened to me to make me this way. I had a happy childhood. I had a happy life. There’s something wrong with my brain that makes me this way. A mental illness I do not want to bear the burden of. I know how many people I will hurt, and I”m sorry. It’s selfish of me to ask you to look after our classmates, but I had to go. I feel it was my time, though I know you will disagree. That’s okay. It’s all going to be okay.
You’re a good friend, and an even better person. I’ve been told I’m a good judge of character. That’s why I’m doing what I’m about to. I hope you will respect my decision in this, even if you can’t respect my one to leave. I know it was wrong, but it was also right. For me. I was hurting too much, and I didn’t want to burden anyone. You aren’t an Iida, but you mean a great deal to me. Tensei cannot perform his work. I know you’ve chosen the name Manx to be your own, but I have a request. You don’t have to go through with it. It’s a request, but I will not be upset if you refuse. Japan needs a knight. An Ingenium. I think you’d fill that role rather well. Ingenium is a strong name. It is not just because of our legs and lineage that we have it. It is passed down from generation to generation, to strong men and women with bold minds and personalities. They can hold the pressure and they care. They’re powerful in mind and in body. When I think of the name Ingenium, I think of my brother. But the title doesn’t remind me of him. When I hear it, and really think on it, I think of you.
I’m sorry. I’m sorry I left, and that I was not a good friend. You’re more than I ever deserved, and I thank you for that. -Tenya Harper hadn’t told Tensei, or his family. She couldn’t bring herself to. Not when Tenya’s older brother was gazing at her with such sorrow, or when his parents were busy breaking down over the loss of their youngest. It was a big deal, and she knew it. But she also knew the name was Tenya’s to pass down now, and that she wouldn’t say no. Because as sad as she was, she would keep going. She had to keep going. It hurt, but she had to buck up for those who couldn’t and keep with her responsibilities.  “It’ll be alright.” Harper breathed. Tensei smiled a small smile, giving her hand another brief squeeze before releasing it.  “It’ll be alright.” Tensei agreed.  Harper’s ears were still ringing, but it wasn’t as bad anymore.  #BNHA #TenyaIida

BNHA Rewatch Episode 26 “Time to Pick some Names”
mysterylover123
We return to normal school stuff with a fun little episode, packed with some ominous foreshadowing.
Tumblr media
Seeing Izuku getting hounded like this just makes me wonder what kinda attention the other kids get. Especially Bakugo.
Tumblr media
This draft picks do make me wanna call bullshit a little though. Like, I get why Deku isn’t up there. But why is Kaminari, who got taken out in seconds, in 5th, and Ashido, who made it into the second round and has a very popular and easily demonstrative quirk and look, not up there at all?!
Tumblr media
This episode is really shippy, you guys. Todomomo here. Look at how she looks at him. She likes him. Convince me otherwise.
Tumblr media
Iidaraka making an appearance too! Aw, lookit her shaking him!
Tumblr media
Why is Midnight the chooser of names, BTW? She appears to have bad taste in names, despite her own decent Hero name, so what gives her the right?
Tumblr media
Baby Aizawa and Present Mic! Seriously, Mic should’ve been the one presiding over Hero Names! He gave Aizawa a great one and has one of his own! Seriously, it could’ve been perfect!
Tumblr media
Aww someone’s nervous!  (edit: this screencap didn’t quite grab the right moment. Basically, Bakugou looks endearingly nervous in this shot.)
So my thoughts on the names:
Tumblr media
Aoyama needs to change his. cantstoptwinkling is too long and unwieldy to be a Hero Name and it sounds ridiculous (he says it in English so I know it isn’t just some weird translation).
Tumblr media
This was perfect. Screw you Midnight. Alien Queen should’ve been Ashido’s name.
Tumblr media
This one’s nice. People do call her Froppy sometimes. I like too how this beat is played: The first two names make everyone nervous, and Tsu puts them at ease. That seems to be her role in Class 1-A: to help people deal with crisis situations and stress.
Tumblr media
Red Riot is another winner. Being derived from another famous name is not a problem; it’s a comic book tradition. Though this does bring up that pesky Imitation theme once more. Kiri wants to be just like Crimson, and that concept gets explored in more depth in the Internship Arc. It makes me wonder if Kiri should switch names to symbolize throwing off that role, or if he should stick with it to symbolize the good Crimson brings to him.
Tumblr media
Izuku himself notices the similarities between Kiri’s name and his own fixation with All Might for me so I don’t have to explain it.
Tumblr media
Now we are met with the CUTEST FUCKING IMAGE EVER COMMITTED TO SCREEN OR PAPER. DEKU YOU ARE TOO PRECIOUS.
Tumblr media
Now some snarky Kamijirou content! Someone’s a little bitter about Kaminari getting more draft picks than her, aren’t you? Actually, I feel like there are some similarities between Kamijirou and BKDK - both pairs argue a lot, yet seem to share an odd connection. The diff may be that while Jiro is more like Midoriya in terms of power and personality (she even takes obsessive notes like he does), she’s the one who antagonizes Kaminari. He’s more Kacchan-like, perhaps why he’s friends with the guy, more born-powerful and cocky, but he’s the one who gets messed with. I dunno, interesting connection.
Tumblr media
Probably the coolest sounding of the names that are just ‘my quirk’. Jiro can stick with this one.
Tumblr media
Kinda generic but hey, it’s better than Jamming-yay.
Tumblr media
Also kinda generic, maybe something that sounds cooler in Japanese, I’m guessing?
Tumblr media
Not half bad, but it doesn’t really sound like a hero name.
Tumblr media
This one’s a bit generic, but darn it all if it doesn’t sound like a name you’d find in superhero comics.
Tumblr media
Ditto.
Tumblr media
Triple ditto. Actually a name in Superhero comics.
Tumblr media
This one’s terrible. Mina deserved better.
Tumblr media
Hmm...Momo...this isn’t terrible, per se, but I still think Yaoyorozu could have a cooler one.
Tumblr media
LOL. Also sad: by rejecting his surname and choosing only his given name, Shoto makes a statement. An “I don’t want to be like my dad” statement.
Tumblr media
Good I guess? I do kinda know about this one from reading Naruto. It’s a thing in Japanese that I will probably not get well as a dumb American.
Tumblr media
Though to be a smart American for a second: Anima...it sounds like he’s talking about that Joseph Campbell theme on anima/animus, male/female, hero with a thousand faces (Just kidding, it’s short for Animal.)
Tumblr media
HAHAHAHA OH KACCHAN YOU ECCENTRIC SHITHEAD. Actually, this one is a pretty clever play on his surname in the original Japanese, “Bakusatsuo”. Someone really likes playing on kanji meaning (Deku), doesn’t he? King Explosion Murder is too long and unwieldy, but I think just “King Explosion” or some similar pun could’ve actually worked fine. Just take out the murder part, dumbass.
Tumblr media
My favorite one. Meaning: Her surname, her desire to support her parents. Instantly conveys who she is, what kind of hero she wants to be. Perfect.
Tumblr media
OMG IIDA FEELS. This plays into his arc in the next story arc, actually. Iida feels he can’t take the name Ingenium until he has done with Tensei couldn’t: kill Stain. And that is why he’s so fixated on revenge.
Tumblr media
And finally DEKU. Which is, yeah, what we call him...it does sound a little odd as a superhero name, though. This is an Izuocha moment I actually, like, BTW. Just nice wholesome friendship. No weird obsessions or comparisons with serial killers.
Tumblr media
Speaking of Uraraka. The Gunhead Agency! You gotta love that Wonder Duo and how they influence people, huh? One fight with Bakugou and she’s all signed up to go be a DBZ fighter. Also, I can see why Kacchako fans are into that. One of Ochaco’s biggest character shifts, and he inspires it. I can dig.
Tumblr media
The #1 hero everybody! Hori does try to give a plausible excuse for why All Might forgot to mention Gran among the People Who Know list...then doesn’t bother with it at all when Nighteye comes up. Ah well. I honestly kinda just want the List of People who Know to keep expanding to comedic levels. “Oh and this is my old exgirlfriend who also knows! And this villain! And this random guy! And maybe your mom!”
Tumblr media
Speaking of moms, I’m sure Aizawa officially transforms into Class 1-A’s when he tells Ashido not to slur her words.
Tumblr media
The shipper in me wants to gush about how Izuku and Ochaco went to worry about Iida (Iidaraka!) but more sincerely, I want to quickly comment about how well BNHA handles the Power of Friendship. This trope can be so irritating when done poorly, but the friendship in Hero Aca is actually, in my opinion, really realistic. And the power of it is mainly showcased by how friends can simply support and be there for each other, rather than Friendship is the Allmighty Power of the Universe all Will Bow Down Before it. (And also it’s a thing villains can have! And a thing that can fall apart and be unpleasant!)
Tumblr media
ANGRY IIDA!
So yeah I really enjoy this episode. It’s not especially deep or heartbreaking (ASIDE FROM TENSEI!!!!) but it’s an enjoyable watch. I’ve actually watched this one a lot because it’s light and fun and something of a one-off. I wouldn’t claim it’s the Best of HeroAca or anything, but It’s an enjoyable ride. Of course, can’t say I’m not more excited to get to next episode. As a big Deku fan(girl), I can tell you my reactions to that one will be something.
BKDK CORNER
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Guess who gets paralleled with Izuku’s love interest once again? Seriously, there are a lot of odd, ongoing parallels between Bakugou and Uraraka with their relationships to Izuku, and I’m not sure why if not for subtext. (I want Bakugo’s Ultimate Hero Name to be a play on his first name too. So both members of Wonder Duo have First Name Puns). The OT3 is strong in this one.
Tumblr media
My Deku sense is tingling.
BEST GIRL OF THE EPISODE: Iida Mom! (she only appeared last ep but sh)

Chocolate Seashell Ch 8 Preview
Because it’s a WIP and I see @icephysics95 / @hylianhick being active on Tumblr and, to put it bluntly, “I hope Senpai notices me!” Because it’s been months and my anxiety makes me swirl in place, thinking you don’t see these things.
For everyone else? I’ll just say I’ve had a long and meh-to-near-shitty past few days irl when it comes to work. So, fluff. Based on the first times I hugged Leo and the many times I wake up my dad from his naps.
Also, @wingbladeweaver1357 and @fangoverdang, here’s something for you two. Wing-chan, I know you’ve seen this a bit already, but you’ve helped me out in the last few days and I’m grateful.
An honorary mention to you too, @langwrites and @owlsofstarlight, because you two ground me.
Onto writing previews!
------------------------------------------------------------
Shinsō shoulders his school bag and walks over to the door, making sure not to bump Iida’s shoulder on the way to wait. Iida’s looking at him, wordlessly gaping and chopping his hands as usual, but Shinsō can’t really find it in himself to care. He’s a good class rep, but some things you just don’t question.
It doesn’t even take a second for blue eyes to peek out from around the hallway corner and then spot him.
A high-pitched “Hitoshi-kuuuuuuun!” echoes through the hallway and Shinsō hides a smirk. The blue hair ribbons are obvious even from a distance. The small petite figure closes in with the sound of shoes hitting the tile floors, and it’s obvious Hoshino is running. She looks out of breath, still carrying her own school bag, but she’s smiling at him and her blue eyes are still bright. “Hitoshi-kun!”
“Hey, Tomoko,” he says, and he doesn’t even hesitate to open his arms as soon as she’s a meter away. This was a routine at this point. Screw onlookers, they were going to figure it out sooner or later. Even if he would regret the possibility of Ashido and the other girls hounding him on this kind of thing. But wait. She’s running too fast. Oh no. “Wait a second, Tomoko, slow down—”
“Oh god,” Midoriya says faintly behind him.
Iida’s yelling frantically, saying a loud, “No running in the hallways, Hoshino-kun—”
“Taaaaaaaaah!” is the happy squeal-kind-of-noise leaving her lips and then Tomoko is jumping and barreling into Shinsō’s chest in a tackle hug. Yep. He was too late. Everyone was way too late. Shinsō holds back the urge to groan, squeezing her anyways while twirling on his feet to try working off the momentum. Tomoko’s giggling into his school blazer and cuddling him, and he’s tempted to blush if not for the aching in his ribs representative of all of Hoshino’s unintended force. “I found you, beloved friend! Hello!”
“Yes, yes, you did,” Shinsō mutters tiredly into her hair, and he breathes in the rosemary scent that is Hoshino before tapping the top of her head with the back of his free hand. Still soft. “Hello to you too. But do you have to tackle me every single time?”
Tomoko pulls back as if slapped, and there’s a kicked-puppy look in her blue eyes. “Uh,” she says, caught off-guard, “if you don’t like it, I can stop?”
Shinsō sighs and pets the top of her hair. “I didn’t say I didn’t like it, Hoshino. Just ease up on the running, okay? Davy would have a heart attack if something happened to you.”
He leaves out the thought of, I’d be worried too.
“It is also against school regulations to run in the hallways, Hoshino-kun!” Iida hotly interrupts, and Shinsō pretends to be invisible so Tomoko can notice him instead. “You may have a wonderful relationship with Shinsō-kun—”
“It wasn’t intentional—” Shinsō decides to add sarcastically.
Iida continues, unabated with his usual hand chops. “But you could risk danger to others around you!”
Still. The smile is back on Tomoko’s face as she nods, albeit sheepish in Iida’s direction, raising her hand to salute to Shinsō and him. The gesture merely signified her energy coming back in full swing. “Aye aye, Cap’n Shinsō, Lieutenant Iida!” she chirps. “Roger that!”
“L—” Iida’s thrown off guard. “Lieutenant? Not Class Rep?”
“I-I mean, Iida-san is Class 2-A’s Rep! I’m in 1-C!”
“Ohhhh,” Midoriya says quietly. “That explains things.”
Shinsō holds back an amused scoff just in time for Kei and Davy to approach. “Doofus. Be more observant.”
“Eh—”
“My baby sis!” Davy coos loudly, and Tomoko has no chance to react before he’s swooping her into his arms from behind, pressing his cheek into her hair and snuggling her. Shinsō actively backs up to give the adoptive siblings space. “This is where you ran off to!”
“N-Nii! Too tight, too tight!” Tomo’s cheeks flush a light red from the close proximity and the surprise, resulting in Kei chuckling as soon as she flanks Shinsō’s side, looking on with fondness in her black eyes. “K-Kei-chan, help!”
“Nope,” Kei says simply, wearing a not-so-nice smile. Wow. “I’ll stay with Hitoshi-kun over here, Tomo.” Without skipping a beat, she glances behind her to wave at the others. “Hi, Midoriya-san, Uraraka-chan, Iida-san, Hikari-chan.”
Leonhart lets out a laugh, getting up from her seat as soon as Midoriya is glancing between Davy and Tomoko in shock. “Hey, Kei! Ready for lunch?” The question was short, but it still was marked by how Iida looked caught between intervening and staring himself while Uraraka hummed, going along with the situation.
“Just about,” Kei shares a glance with Shinsō and he rubs his neck. “Give it a minute.” Meanwhile the hug?
It was ongoing. Going way past a minute. Somehow. Shinsō couldn’t help but wonder what kind of house Tomoko grew up in considering who was hanging onto her with a death grip. And this was the guy with the quirk that made him both “Unkillable” and “Extremely Unlucky.” Anyone would die in his position at any second, and yet he was choosing to spend his time cuddling a certain someone who would give cuddles to everyone else. At least, that’s how the scene looked to Shinsō.
“Tomo-chan, don’t just run off without Nii! Nii needs you around too, y’know!” Davy’s still cooing and Tomoko’s still blushing. “Hugs are a family thing!”
“B-But,” Tomoko’s spluttering now, huh, her hands are waving in the air, when did they start doing that? “H-Hitoshi-kun and Kei-chan are family too, Nii! Along with Hika-chan, Ochako-chan, and people in my class, and hugs are great! I don’t—” there’s another squeeze and she squeaks out in a nervous high-pitch, “see what’s the problem!?” Davy’s squeezing her tighter now. “Eep!”
Shinsō does his best to hide the happy blush at the whole “family” thing and shoots a glare at Kei once he starts hearing her snickering. Kei merely sticks her tongue out at him.
“Should we…” Midoriya fumbles, raising a shaky pointer finger to the two siblings, “should we stop them?”
Kei and Shinsō share a glance before shrugging. “Nah,” they say in unison.
“Why can’t I take your attention sometimes!?” Davy’s actually starting to tear up. How. “You are growing up so fast, Tomo-chan! I miss you as a little girl! My favorite baby sis!” He’s still hugging her, even with the obvious rain starting to drip down onto said little sis’s head. “Why can’t there be a time machine…?”
Tomoko in question is still pink and starting to squirm. “I-It was going to happen one day? And time machines don’t exist! You still see me in school, Nii! Even with the dorms!” It takes a single moment for her to reconsider her words. “A-And I think I was your only baby sis for the first few years… or something.”
Uraraka is the first one to break out laughing. “Sh-Should we all just — pffft — go to lunch together?”
Shinsō freezes, but it’s only for a second because Kei claps a comforting hand on his shoulder and Tomoko is finally away from her clingy upperclassman of a big brother, no thanks to a careful push. “S-Sure?” Tomoko’s voice cracks, but it’s really from the sudden offer than anything else. “That’s fine? It’ll be a big crowd, so we’ll have to find a table fast?”
“Then let us be off, Hoshino-kun!” Iida declares, and Midoriya smiles in time with Tomoko’s shy giggle. “Former Emergency Exit Iida Tenya shall escort you!”
What.
Yep. Shinsō doesn’t know what to make of it, but Kei is still around and Leonhart’s suddenly flanking him now too. “C’mon, Purple Troll,” Hikari muses, grabbing his right arm, “let’s get you a social life!”
“I already had one—”
Kei chuckles. “That doesn’t stop you from learning more.”
Shinsō sighs. He still wasn’t expecting the next moment.
“Oh! Wait a second!”
Iida starts in the middle of his march to the cafeteria. “Hoshino-kun?”
“Give me a minute, everybody.” Tomoko jumps and everyone turns to look at her as she proceeds to run into the 2-A classroom of all things, ducking behind the front desk to kneel towards the head of a familiar yellow sleeping bag. She pokes the bag gently. “Aizawa-sensei?”
There’s a grumble.
Midoriya and Iida both look like they’re close to panicking with the nervous and serious faces they were wearing, but Shinsō watches out of curiosity. Tomoko reaches over to gently pat the head area of the sleeping bag this time with her free hand while clutching her school bag, whispering her words. It was almost like she was used to this. “Aizawa-sensei, could I see you for a second? I want to give something to you, and you can sleep as much as you want after this.”
A pause. Then, to the shock of everyone except Kei, Leonhart, and Shinsō, the zipper in the front of the bag comes down and Sensei’s grimacing, rubbing one of his eyes. Even though he was sleeping a few seconds ago, the nap made it look like he came out of a dungeon with the dark bags lining his eyes. “Make it quick. I’m tired.” The red eyes symbolizing Eraserhead stares Tomoko down in anything but tired resignation. “What is it, Hoshino?”
Tomoko smiles and proceeds to pull out a small bundle of what looked like cookies from her bag, setting them down near Aizawa’s nose. “Sweets for you as thanks for letting me see Hitoshi-kun’s training session the other day, Sensei,” she says in the same whisper, slowly getting to her feet while still smiling. “They’re cat-shaped and have plenty of chocolate chips and almonds.”
Aizawa goes cross-eyed at the bundle in front of him. “…Is it dark chocolate?”
The Chocolate Fairy nods. “Made just for you, Sensei.” She rocks back and forth on the balls of her feet, hugging her school bag while nudging the gift closer to him with her free hand. “Feel free to share them with Mic-sensei if you want.”
“Ohmigod,” Davy says faintly. “So cute… my baby sis, caring for people!”
Shinsō can’t help but give him a look. “What are you, her brother or her dad?”
“I can be both!”
“Does that make Kei and I the big sisters?” Leonhart adds her three cents. Wow.
“You two quiet down!” Iida interrupts, still watching the scene from the doorway.
“Hm,” Aizawa says finally and then a lanky arm reaches out of his sleeping bag to take the gift, making it disappear into the yellow sleeping bag with him before the zipper goes all the way up to cover his face. “…Get to lunch, Hoshino.”
Tomoko giggles. “Aye aye. Have a nice nap, Sensei.”
Everyone was still staring once she trotted over to return. Silence was a good way of approximating what was said in that moment.
Tomoko blinks, but is barely fazed, merely inclining her head. “Eh? Why are you all looking at me like that?”
Yep. The Chocolate Fairy is still oblivious.
Uraraka coos and reaches over to wrap her arms around Tomoko’s shoulders. “Never change, Tomo-chan.”
“Eh? Eh?”
For once, Shinsō could see everyone else in the group agree without needing him to voice it too.

Their Hero Academia –The Sports Festival: Bonus Round!
Their Hero Academia – Chapter 38: The Sports Festival Part 11: End Credits
Presenting the next raw and unedited chapter of my on-going, next-gen, My Hero Academia fic, Their Hero Academia!
Earlier chapters can be found here
If ever there was going to be a day for Villains to get up to something, Izuku thought, this would have been it.  Some of the highest ranked Heroes in the country were in the VIP box at the Sports Festival stadium, and he knew many more were also in the audience in the stands. In the box with him were Ochaco, Kacchan and Eijiro, Shoto and Momo, Tenya and Mei, Pony, and Tetsutetsu.  Tetsutetsu could have been in the teacher’s box with Itsuka, but with Minoru working, he had volunteered to accompany Pony.
Izuku was glad that Mirio had agreed to take watch in the Agency today, so that he could attend. Mom was here too, in the teacher’s box with Dad.  Some of his other friends were in the stands too, like Hitoshi and Camie and Mashiro and Toru.  Others were working or watching on TV at home.
Down in front of them, his youngest daughter, Mako, sat on the floor with Kacchan’s youngest, Tai. The two were only a few months apart in age and had been good friends pretty much their entire lives.  His middle daughter, Hana, stood in the back of the room, barely looking up from her cellphone.  He should probably have said something, but that was an uphill battle and he wasn’t really interested in fighting it today.
“Big Sister’s going to win!” Tai said.
“Nuh-uh!” Mako countered, crossing her arms.  “You’re wrong, Tai!  Toshi’s going to win!”
“Nuh-uh!”
“Uh-huh!”
“Nuh-uh!”
“Uh-huh!”
“Hey.”  Before Izuku could speak up, Kacchan had, bending down next to the two five year olds.  He put a hand on each of their shoulders.  “What did I tell you, Tai?”
The little blond looked up at his dad, thinking for a moment.  “That… it doesn’t matter who wins, so long as everybody does their best?”
“Right,” Kacchan said, giving both children a smile.  “So it’s okay to want Katsumi or Toshi to win.  But you shouldn’t fight about it, okay?”
“Okay,” Tai said.
“Okay,” Mako added.
“Good,” Kacchan said, before returning to his seat.
Ochaco turned her head to look at Kacchan.  “That was some pretty Plus Ultra parenting, Katsuki,” she said.  They were pretty lucky overall.  Mako was about as well-behaved as you could expect from a five year old girl and Toshi had been an incredibly stress free child to raise (except for the part when his Quirk had come in and they’d had to tie him to his bed to keep him from floating off in his sleep).  Hana was their biggest problem and even that was more teenage moodiness than anything.
“Of course it was,” Kacchan said.  “I’m good at everything.  Why wouldn’t I be good at parenting?”
“Very manly pareting, Bakubabe,” Eijiro said, sitting on Kacchan’s left, next to Izuku.
Izuku laughed at that. Some things never changed.
“You just keep on believing that,” Shoto said, sitting on the other side of Kacchan.
“What’s that supposed to mean, IcyHot?”
“I think you know what it means.”
“Oh, it is good to see you both!”  A new voice interrupted them and from behind, huge arms wrapped themselves around Shoto and Kacchan.
“You?” Kacchan growled, trying to slip out of the big man’s grasp.  “What’re you doing here?  You kid doesn’t even go to this school!”
Inasa just laughed. “Are you kidding?” he asked.  “I love U.A.!”
“Oh.  Yoarashi.  How… good… to see you.”  Shoto was trying to look pleased, but failing miserably at it. Inasa didn’t notice though.  He never did.  No matter how much Kacchan or Shoto tried to express their displeasure with him, he just assumed they were friends.
Not surprising that he’d gotten an invitation, though.  He was the Number Five Hero currently, even if he wasn’t a U.A. graduate.
“Besides,” Inasa added, “my son really wanted to see his girlfriend compete!  How could I say no?”
“Someone’s dating that psychotic cyclone you call a kid?” Kacchan asked.
“Yes!” Inasa bellow. “I haven’t met her yet, but he talks about her constantly!  I believe her name is Mika!”
Pony perked up at that. “Oh!  Then you must be Shinji’s dad!  Come sit by me!  We should talk… especially since Minny doesn’t know about him yet.”
“If you are all done,” Tenya said, standing, arms chopping through the air, “the Festival is about to start!  May I suggest you all pay our children and their classmates the attention they deserve?”
Izuku settled in, taking Ochaco’s hand in his.  Something told him this was going to be an amazing show.
***
“So anyway,” Eijiro said, “I decided to do one of those DNA ancestry things, ‘cause, you know, I only really know about one of my moms for bio family.  Turns out somebody with the same bio-dad as me did too!  I’ve got a half-brother out there somewhere!”
“Bro!” Tetsutetsu piped up, from the other end of the row.  “That’s so weird! I did the same thing, and it turns out I’ve got a half-brother too!  What a coincidence!  That’s just freaky!”
Izuku watched as Kacchan looked between his husband and Tetsutetsu.  He’d known his friend long enough to see the war going on behind his eyes. He was considering whether or not to say anything and what he’d have to deal with if he did.   There was a quiet, tense moment in the room.
“Yeah,” Kacchan added eventually, “really flipping weird.”
Pony gave her former classmate a funny look.  “Maybe… you two are brothers?” she tried.
Tetsutetsu laughed hard at that, slapping a hand against his knee.  “Oh, that’s a good one, Pony!  Can you imagine that, Eijiro?”
Eijiro laughed just as loud. “Real good one,” he agreed. “We’re a lot alike, Pony, but brothers? Nah.  That’s just silly.”
“But…” Pony began.
Kacchan locked eyes with her.  “Just let it go.”
“Guys,” Izuku interrupted, “look!”
Below, on the obstacle course, one of his son’s classmates, Isamu Haimawari, was racing across the finish line, with several of the others not far behind.  It wans’t long before they crossed.  As each of their kids crossed the finish line, cheers went up from the parents.
“So that’s the kid Izumi was talking about,” Shoto said.  “Pretty impressive speed.”
“Strange,” Tenya said. “His Quirk reminds me of something my brother once told me, but I cannot place where…”
“Fast guy, that’s for sure,” Mei agreed.  “Bet he could use some better gear though…”
“Not everything requires additional gear, Mei, useful though it may be.”
“You take that back right now, Tenya, or you’re sleeping on the couch.”
“I…” Tenya sputtered. “…Yes, dear.”
“Quite the display of teamwork,” Momo noted.
“I noticed that too,” Izuku agreed.  “They combined mobility-based Quirks with offensive power, letting them watch each other’s backs while still moving forward.  Not a one hundred percent one to one match, but I think they mostly compensated pretty well…  Might have been a little better to align both Twins with someone with Quirk with more of a projectile Quirk to clear the way, but…”
Ochaco gave his hand a squeeze.  “Deku?” she said.  “You’re muttering.”
He felt a little bit of a blush spread to his cheeks.  “Oops. Sorry.”
“Once a dweeb, always a dweeb,” Kacchan said.  He shook his head.  “The team-up thing had to be Toshi’s idea.  Your kid’s always thinking about other people.”
Izuku felt a stirring of pride.  That did sound like Toshi.  Ever since he was little, he’d always been looking out for his friends and sisters. “Yeah, you’re probably right. Good strategy… but I think they’re in for an earful from Aizawa over it.”
Hana actually looked up from her phone for a minute.  “Dork actually came up with a pretty good plan.  Surprising.”
***
As Quirkball got underway, Shoto leaned over so he could look around Kacchan.  “You know,” he said, “I heard a rumor about this year’s Hero Class.”
Izuku turned his attention away from the field for a moment.  He hadn’t heard any rumors, but he also admitted that sometimes, he was a little disconnected from things.  An unfortunate happenstance created by some of the distance that came with being the Number One Hero.  “Oh?” he asked.  “What’s that?”
He could have sworn he was something in Shoto’s eyes, but decided it was just his imagination.  “I have heard that one of the kids in this year’s crop of Hero students is secretly Deku’s child.”
Instantly, he felt Ochaco’s grip on his hand grow tighter.   “What?” she asked.  Despite having no reason to, Izuku suddenly felt in great fear for his life.
“Oh, yes,” Shoto said, his voice even and unchanging.  “Just a rumor of course, but it seems quite plausible.”
He paused for a moment, then went on.  “My money is on the girl with the purple hair and horns.”
There was a silent moment, before it was broken by Pony’s braying laughter.  Ochaco’s grip on his hand relaxed slightly and he could feel circulation return to his fingers.
“Shoto,” Ochaco growled, “that was terrible!”
“I’ve been trying to work on my jokes,” he replied.
Next to Shoto, Momo was burying her head in her hands.  She finally looked up.   “I must apologize for him…”
Izuku waved it off, a smile tugging on his lips as he thought back to his first Sports Festival and the accusations Shoto had hurled at him then.  He might not have been All Might’s love child, but Toshinori had become his father in every way that counted a few years later.  Something that hadn’t gone uncommented on by Shoto at the time either.
“Leave the comedy to somebody with a sense of humor, IcyHot,” Kacchan growled.  “’cause you sure ain’t funny.”
“Be nice, Bakubabe,” Eijiro said, giving Kacchan a playful punch in the arm.
“It was only a joke, Bakugo,” Shoto said.  “No reason to… explode.”
“Was that a fucking pun?!”
“Bakugo!” Tenya shouted. “Control your language!  There are children present!”
***
Izuku was impressed with what he had seen so far.  As a parent, of course, he was most focused on Toshi, but all the students who had made it through the first two rounds had done amazingly.  Lots of General Studies students who’d made it through the first round too, which was always good, even if only one of them had made it to the Tournament round.   Kocho was definitely skilled; he wondered how she wasn’t in the Hero Course to begin with.  Maybe he’d talk to Dad about it later.  What he’d seen so far was pretty impressive.  It was ultimately the faculty’s decision, but the word from a seasoned Pro Hero like him would go pretty far.
It was when Izumi and Katsumi came up to fight that things got tense.
“Okay,” he said.  “We knew this was going to happen.  Everybody relax.  Remember, the kids are all friends and this is just a friendly competition.”
Nevertheless, he could see Shoto and Kacchan were shooting each other uneasy glances already and not a single blow had been thrown.
Eijiro leaned forward in his seat.  “Is she… giving up?”
“Why would she not want to fight Izumi?” Shoto asked, rubbing his chin.
“…I’m sure she has her reasons,” Momo said, and Izuku was glad for it.  Shoto was… not good at interpreting relationships.  It was enough of a dodge that none of them had to explain it to him.
“How unsportsmanlike!” Tenya yelled.  “She is doing Izumi a great dishonor!”
Kacchan leaned forward to. “C’mon, kid.  Remember what I taught you…”
Fortunately for all involved, it looked like Katsumi was going to fight after all.
“All right!” Eijiro yelled, jumping up from his seat.  “Kick her ass, Honey!”
That got him a horrified look from Momo.  “Eijiro! How could you say something like that?!”
Eijiro plopped back down in his seat, looking embarrassed.  “Sorry,” he said.  “I got carried away.”
“I can’t look!” Inasa lamented, hand over his eyes.  “The children of two of my best friends!  How can I decide who to root for?!”
“Root for my daughter!” Kacchan growled.  “You all better be rooting for her!  It’s her first fight!”
“It’s Izumi’s too,” Shoto corrected him.
“Shut up, IcyHot! She’s gonna kick your kid’s ass!”
“I doubt that.”
“You wanna bet?!”
“Shoto… Kacchan…” Izuku began, getting up just in case he had to separate them.  This was going to be tense.
***
“Oh, that’s going be awkward,” Izuku said, as they watched Toshi and Sora Iida take the field to fight each other.
“Look at our baby!” Mei yelled, wrapping her arms around Tenya.  “I’m so proud of her!  She’s gonna kick his ass!”
Tenya frowned.  “Mei, while the spirit of competition should be embraced, you can at least be civil about it…”
The pink-haired inventor shrugged.  “I said what I said.”
“We haven’t really talked about the fact that the kids are dating, have we?” Ochaco asked.  “How’re you holding up with both of yours dating, Tenya?”
Izuku was certain he saw a slight twitch to Tenya’s left eye.  Tenya lived what was, to all outside appearances, a very stressful life, with his mad scientist wife and equally excitable children, but he seemed very content and always spoke glowingly of them all.  Perhaps the chaos was welcome in his otherwise structured and ordered life.
“It has been… challenging,” Tenya said after a moment, “to realize just how much they are growing. I trust Toshi to be a perfect gentleman, of course, and I am trying to think kindly of Takuma.”
“Better not let Mina hear you say that,” Izuku replied.  “But I appreciate the vote of confidence.  Assuming they don’t break up over this, I know Toshi will treat Sora right.”
He admitted, he’d been surprised when Toshi had told them about it.  Their son had always gotten along fine with all of the other kids, male or female, but had always seemed a bit nervous around female attention. Granted, a lot of that had come from Mika Mineta, who would make just about anybody nervous…
“Well, at least Sora’s first Sports Festival will not go like mine did,” Tenya said.  Finding out his brother had been brutally assaulted… Yeah, that probably colored his memories some.
“Well, it was when I first started thinking about you, Tenny,” Mei told him.  “So it ain’t all bad.”
Tenya blushed at that. “There is also that,” he agreed.
“We should get together some time, though,” Izuku said.  “See if Mina and Hanta want to come.  Get together with the kids.”
“Oh, that’s a great idea, Deku!” Ochaco said.  “It’ll be like a quintuple date!  Mina will love it!”
There was that twitch of Tenya’s again…
“Toshi’s doing better than I did too,” Izuku said.  “No broken bones!  And he’s really picked up some of Gran’s style…”
***
“Oh, you should have seen her, honey!” Pony said into her phone.  “She was amazing!  Yes, love you too.  We’ll watch it together tonight!”
There were a lot of words to describe Mika Mineta’s first fight in the Tournament, but Izuku wasn’t exactly sure that “amazing” was one of them.  She’d certainly outwitted her opponent, but it was hard to exactly call it a “clean” win.  All was fair game, he supposed, but some of the things that had come out of her mouth…
Inasa grinned broadly. “I see what my son sees in her! Such a lively young lady!”
Pony hung up the phone. “Minny has a big blind spot where Mika is concerned,” she said.  “But I’m not sure it’s big enough for this.  That is going to be a very awkward conversation.”
Next to her, Tetsutetsu just laughed.  “She really does take after him, doesn’t she?  You really turned that guy around, Pony.”
The horned-woman shrugged at that.  “Minny just needed somebody who wasn’t going to immediately reject him.  Maybe he kind of tricked me the first time, but he proved he was a sweetheart underneath it.  …And also really good with his hands and tongue and other things.”
Kacchan looked like he was going to explode.  “I could have gone my whole life without hearing that.”
Pony frowned and carried on like she hadn’t heard him,  “But Mika spends a lot of her time thinking about boys.  And girls.  And everything and everyone in-between.  I worry it might get her into trouble someday.”
“She’s not nearly as bad as he was,” Momo said, from the other end of the row of chairs.  If anyone was certified to speak up on it, it would be her.  Momo had been the target of Minoru’s unwanted attentions and worse more than anyone.  “Mika’s got her problems, but at least she’s not a lawsuit waiting to happen.”
Ochaco nodded along. “No offense, Pony, but before he met you, he was, well, I don’t think any of us liked him very much.”
“I know,” she said. “He told me all of this, when we started to get serious.”
“Pretty manly of him, owning up to everything,” Eijiro admitted.
“You’re still planning on giving her an offer, right, Tenya?” Pony asked, big eyes hopeful and wide.
“I am,” Tenya agreed. “I will do my best to give her some more rigorous discipline, but I can make no promises.”
Pony nodded at that. “I hate to do anything to dampen her spirit, but she’s going to need to buckle down eventually.  Even Minny figured that one out.”
“Your kid’s a freak,” Kacchan said, drawing an angry squawk from Pony and stares of disapproval from everyone else.  “But she’s fighting with everything she’s got.  That’s something to be proud of.”
Leave it to Kacchan to get straight to the point…
***
“Who the hell is this kid?” Kacchan growled, as they watched Isamu Haimawari dodge more of Izumi’s attacks.  He waved a hand in the vague direction of the arena.  “Skills like that don’t just come out of nowhere! Who’s been teaching him?!”
Izuku put a hand on his chin, watching as the young man zipped around the ring.  “I’m sure I’ve read about something with that kind of Quirk before,” he said.  “Not a Pro-Hero though, but then where?  Maybe a Vigilante?  I didn’t really follow those, but sometimes they were pretty hard to ignore…”
Where had he seen a Quirk like that before?  High mobility, yes, but also some kind of adhesion?  And some kind of repulsive force?  Very versatile, that was for sure.  And it was easy to see why Toshi spoke so highly of Haimawari. Without wanting to brag too much… their kids all had quite the advantage and leg up over a lot of the other students. That he was competing on their level was a testament to his dedication.
But it definitely meant he’d had someone training him, someone who knew what they were doing.
Either way, the kid looked like he was going to go far.  Izuku was impressed, to be sure.  And it was looking like the bookies were going to be mad at him again…
“I could swear, I remember my brother mentioning the name Haimawari once or twice too,” Tenya said.
Izuku looked over at Shoto and Momo.  Both of them were leaning forward slightly, holding hands, tension radiating off of both of them.  He didn’t blame them.  Izumi’s childhood illness after her exposure to…   No, not the time or the place to be reflecting on it.  But he couldn’t begrudge them their concern.  She’d nearly died as a child and still suffered lingering effects.  She’d done amazing well so far, making it to the Top Eight finalists.  And even after collapsing after fighting Katsumi, she’d managed to get back in the fight.
That girl had real courage, that was for sure.
“C’mon on, Izumi,” Momo said quietly, “you can do this…”
Which was when Haimawari barreled into Izzy, sending them both tumbling until she came to rest with her head just outside the ring.
Shoto was on his feet in an instant.  “That rat bastard!  I’ll kill him!  How dare he lay a hand on her!”
Momo was on her feet too, equally agitated, but her face lined with worry.  “Is she…?”
There was a breathless moment as they all waited to see what had happened to Izumi, broken only when Haimawari helped her to her feet.
“What a fight!” Insana yelled, so loudly and suddenly that it nearly jolted Pony out of her seat.
“Such a manly display!” Eijiro and Tetsutetsu both shouted, both jumping out of their seats, their body language nearly identicial.
“She didn’t pass out!” Momo yelled, relief blooding into her voice.  “She’s all right!  She’s all right!”   Tears filled her eyes as she pulled Shoto into a tight hug.
“She did good,” Shoto agreed, quietly.  He wasn’t nearly as emotional as his wife, but for someone who had known him as long as Izuku had, he was just as relieved and nearly on the verge of tears himself.
“I thought…” Momo went on, “I thought, when she wanted to keep fighting, that we were making the wrong choice letting her.  I guess I missed just how strong she is.”
“We both did,” Shoto agreed. “I talked you into it… but I wasn’t nearly as sure as I sounded.  Guess we’ve raised a pretty remarkable young Hero.”
They sure had, Izuku thought.  They sure had.
***
The results were in. Toshi sharing Third Place with Koharu Kocho, Mika Mineta in Second, and Isamu Haimawari in First.
“<She did it!>” Pony yelled, jumping up and down excitedly, possibly unaware she’d slipped back into using English.  “<Second place!  Did you see, Tetsu?  Did you see?>”
“We saw, Pony,” Tetsutetsu said.  “We saw! Don’t worry!”
Inasa let out a laugh. “Amazing!  What a fantastic upset this year!  Where else but U.A.?!”
“Yay, Toshi!” Mako said, dancing happily.  Next to her, Tai was cheering too.  Izuku looked over and he was pretty sure he even saw Hana crack a smile.
“I don’t flippin’ believe it,” Kacchan growled.  “This is one for the record books.”
“Believe it, Kacchan,” Izuku said.  “You know as well I do anything can happen at the Sports Festival.”
Up to and including maybe him breaking his rule about scouting highly placed finishers…

Hey there Squiggles! I was thinking about your idea Oscar finally finding happiness with Ruby and his children after the fall of Salem, but wondered if he would still beset by admirers, such as Rosalie Fox or the rich girls from Atlas Academy, and his children are now finding out about their Dad's popularity with the ladies.
Tumblr media
Hey Al.If you’re asking me if Oscar Pine wouldstill be able to dazzle other girls with his barn princely charm and cuteness even as an adult with kids then,in my imagination and by the power invested in my Pinehead headcanons, you can betyour butt he would. As an Ozma incarnate, let’s just face it. Oscar is destined to be a knockout once he matures. He’s already anadorable precious cinnamon roll at the tender nugget age of 14. You can betthat he’s going to evolve into such the handsome stud muffin by the time hereaches17. I’m still banking on my hunch of Oscar resembling Ozma when he’s agedup and as we clearly saw, Sir Ozma of First Remnant wasn’t no 5-7 in the looksdepartment.
Tumblr media
As a matter of fact, have you seen that lineage? That Ozma Cycleis one Legacyof Sexy we have here with the Wizards of Light which, by extension, makes Salem the ultimate dumbass of the RWBY-verse. She threw away the one man inRemnant’s history that dies but comes back attractive every single time. Why would you throwaway such a great piece of ass Salem, you freaking-fracking fool?
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
There’snot a drop of fugly in there at all. I know we had old man Ambroise the Tarnished and Isaac the Hermitbut who’s to say either weren’t knockouts in their prime like all theothers.
Lookall I’m trying to say is that Oscar is going to age beautifully. He’s already super cute to begin so my heart goes out to Ruby Rose and her pooradolescent female hormones when Oscar starts to blossom from a tender finger nuggetto a tall smouldering slab of beefy meat. What are these metaphors?
Aww hell, who am Ikidding? She screwed now. Look how adorable Oscaris! Precious freckled farm boy turned barn prince. I can’t wait for whenJNPR_RWBY go to Atlas. I am very curious to see how Atlas school girls react toour Little Barn Prince.
Tumblr media
Soto actually answer you, he would still be gathering admirers in his older age.Maybe not so much Rosaline Fox since, in my story for her character, Rose wasaware of Ruby being the one true love of Oscar’s life and was respectable ofthat. She’d even become supportive of their relationship and I’d like the ideaof Rose and Oscar continuing to be best friends down the line. Perhaps one of theirchildren might even fall in love and take the path they never shared, whoknows.
Butyeah, Oscar would totally have admirers and suitors as an adult. So much sothat, it’s almost a gag. Okay, to fully answer this I need to bring back upN.O.V.A.
N.O.V.A was my concept for a RWBY sequel thattakes places years after the Fall of Salem andfollows the story of Oliver Pinerose—one of the four future childrenof Ruby and Oscar; and his adventures with his huntsmen team as he trains tobecome a huntsman at Beacon. In the small narrative I concocted for N.O.V.A,Ruby Rose ismissing following an incident thatnearly destroyed Beacon Academy for good. While most people believe her to be dead since her corpse was never discovered, a few membersof her inner circle of family and friends still believe in her return. Like herson Oliver for example.
Inthe N.O.V.Astoryline, Oscar, now called Oscar Pinerose (afterhe and Ruby got married), is appointed the new Headmaster of Beacon Academytaking over from GlyndaGoodwitch who had retired. So asOscar is the new young Headmaster, he’s been known to turn heads from bothstudents and faculty; male and female. At age 42,Oscar is still as handsomely charming as he ever was; grabbing folk’s attentionand admiration the moment they meet him. This often annoys Oliverwho feels uncomfortably disgusted by other fellow students making lewd commentsabout his father behind his back. Despite Oliver having a strained relationshipwith his father as a result of his mother’s disappearance, he still caresenough to detest the idea of someone else trying to warm themselves up to his emotionallyvulnerable father in an attempt to take his mother’s place.
Atthis stage, though he and Ruby are still married, Oscar is technically consideredsingle in the eyes of most folks since his wife is no longer in the picture. However Oscaris still lovingly devoted to Ruby andsimilar to his son, believes in the hope of her inevitable return to him andtheir family.
Butin the meantime, Oliver is quick to chase away any harpies tryingto bark up his dad’s pine tree. While his siblings might not agree with Oliver’stactics (since he’s the most brash and short-tempered of the Pinerose Children),they do share in their brother’s sentiment over not wanting their father to be wooed by some women trying to become the stepmother to aman who is still very much grieving the loss of his missing wife.
Iquite like the idea of the Pinerose Children being overprotective of Oscar in their own way; particularly the boys. Ieven have this idea for a running joke in N.O.V.A. where a common comeback in the Pinerosehousehold is tothreaten to call Ozma.
WhileI’m still thinking about his character, the current idea I have for Ozma IIis that, as the eldest of the Pinerose Children, he prides himself on being theone responsible for keeping his family together and solving all their personalproblems. Let’ssay that Ozma is very passionate abouthelping others—often to extreme degrees and believes very highly in the valueof family given his upbringing and the close ties he shares with his family.
He’salso the type to drop everything he has to come flying straight back homeimmediately if it meant that his family or any of his loved ones needed him. While his family admires Ozma for his devotion, they also understand fully wellthat Ozma can’t afford to do such a thing so irrationally all the time giventhat he’s supposed to be the Commanding Officer andMistralian-ValerianRepresentative to the Atlesian Military. He’s not just Ozma II; he’sSpecialOperative Ozma Pinerose of the ArgusDivision of the Atlas Military. I can picture Ozma II being a bit like Tenya Iida from My Hero Academia in terms of his earnest yetnoble demeanour.
Ozma andOliver arebig mama’s boys so Oscar potentially moving on and getting romanticallyinvolved with another woman who isn’t their mother is a definite giant no-no intheir books. Scarlettand Ivy, on the other hand, lovetheir mother very much too and can’t picture anyone else taking her place however…ifit was for the sake of their dad’s happiness; they’re more lenient with the thoughtthan their brothers. But to really answer your Al, all four Pinerose kids areperfectly aware of their dad’s popularity with the ladies and make it theirduty to shield their dear ole dad from the harpies.
Ijust really love the mental image of an Adult Oscar Pine as the ‘hot dad’ or ‘dream daddy’ beingexasperated but otherwise touched by his children’s protectiveness of him (anddevotion to their mother who Oscar still loves and is trying desperately tofind); all the while all four of his kids are standing around him defensively.
Scarlettand Ivy are hugging a sweat dropping and half smiling Adult Oscar, while Oliverand Ozma are at the forefront, channelling every ounce of intimidating ‘Don’t You DareTouch Oscar!’ energy they inheritedso well from their mother to any women within a 30-mile radius. Silly but that’s how I like it.
Ihope this was the answer you were asking for, Al XD

And the last chapter of the first volume! Though technically there’s after-chapter content that will be in a separate post from this, but for now, what matters is finishing up the quirk assessment and getting into the battle trial!
Honestly, it’s a good thing that I just shoved all the opening arcs from before the USJ together into one tag, because this chapter literally goes from the quirk assessment into the beginning of the battle trial stuff, and trying to separate them out would have been a mess and a half. Better to just have it all in the ‘opening arcs’ tag.
...weird title for something that only comes at the end of the chapter, but whatever, it’s not like we don’t see that happen later on in the series as well.
[No. 7 - Costume Change?]
And we immediately come back to where we left off, with All Might realizing what just happened and what Izuku did and even why! One of those little peeks that remind us that All Might is very smart! Also god, him with a small fanboy moment over how proud he is of his kid and how cool that workaround was, mmm this is the Dad Might content I signed up for.
Izuku is still standing firm, even with his finger swollen and damaged, biting back the pain. Ochako is cheering about that record, Tenya notices Izuku’s finger is damaged and thinks back to the entrance exam, calling it a ‘strange quirk’, Aoyama says it’s stylishly done, and Katsuki is brain broke.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
I’m sorry that’s just so fucking funny. He is such a goddamn gremlin, but he’s also completely shook. He thinks about how quirks never manifest past age four, but somehow Izuku has a quirk.
Tumblr media
He then recalls Izuku saying ‘he earned this’ and gets pissed, blasting forward to demand an explanation while Izuku freaks out-
Only for Katsuki to have his quirk cancelled by Aizawa and also get caught up in the capture scarf.
Tumblr media
Beauty. Grace. He’ll bite off your face.
Katsuki notes the cloth is stiff, while Aizawa tells him that it’s a capture weapon made of carbon fibers and a special alloy wire, then tells Katsuki to stop using his quirk already. Which is interesting; can Aizawa sense when people are trying to use their quirks while under the effects of his? If so, is he sensing the aborted movement of whatever quirk factors exist, or ???
(All I’m saying is that that is some possible fuel for a Dad For One connection but for Aizawa instead of Izuku… you know, just in case.)
As we sort of saw from the last chapter, Aizawa’s quirk has the side effect of giving him dry eyes (he was putting eyedrops in his eyes after using his quirk on Izuku). Izuku thinks that sucks since his quirk is so awesome. Aizawa lets his quirk and scarf drop, telling the class to prepare for the next event.
Katsuki is standing where he was stopped, glaring at Izuku who is holding his hand while Ochako worries over him and his finger. He’s caught up in a flashback (which again, reminder that this is chapter 7 and we already have flashbacks), thinking about how up to then, Izuku was just another pebble in his path. We get a brief cut to a memory flashback (not a chapter flashback) to when Izuku and Katsuki were still friends, and Izuku was waiting for his quirk to come in still, and then repeats that Izuku was only supposed to be a pebble. Single track mind, much?
Discord:
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Ah, that good Bakugou discourse. This is why you do this stuff in a server with friends.
Izuku narrates a short passage of time - over the rest of the events - while handling the pain of his injured finger. Aizawa tells them it’s time for the results, with Izuku thinking about how he’s going to get expelled because the only record worth mentioning was the throw, and how the endurance running failed hard because of the pain. Aizawa says he won’t explain the process behind the scoring process, just that they reflect performance.
And then he reveals he was lying about expelling someone.
Tumblr media
The trio’s faces. Aizawa’s manic smile. The trio’s faces. And Momo there like ‘what did you expect?’ God, I can’t help but giggle.
Tumblr media
Izuku just fucking ascending to a new plane of existance here.
Aizawa turns to leave, saying they’re done there and that the documents about the curriculum and whatnot are back in the classroom. He then calls out Izuku, who is shaking in panic (probably about Aizawa changing his mind again - I wonder if teachers before UA pulled that sort of ‘syke’ on Izuku… yikes.)
Instead, he just gets handed a pass to the nurse’s office (not even filled out fully, incredible) and then turns and walks off.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
The class is left to stare after Aizawa in bafflement, with Izuku’s narration noting that he’s safe for the moment, but still has too much he can’t do, and that he’s literally starting from the bottom - but here’s there to learn so he can get closer to his dream!
Class rankings:
Tumblr media
And- ah, he walked past All Might, who calls him out as a liar. Aizawa either didn’t notice him watching or didn’t know it was All Might specifically who was watching, but either way calls it ‘wasting time’ - which makes sense when all the teachers know about his time limit that he’s spending there watching Izuku the kids do their trials.
All Might notes that April Fool’s was over a week ago, and that the ‘rational deception’ thing falls flat when he expelled an entire class of first years the previous year. Aizawa discards those with zero potential, but he went back on his word here, and then asks if he sensed Midoriya’s potential as well. While giving Aizawa finger guns. Have I mentioned this man is a complete dork yet?
Aizawa catches onto the ‘as well’ bit, and determines that All Might’s supporting the kid - which isn’t his usual style. He then starts walking off again, saying Midoriya doesn’t have no chance, but that’s all he’ll say on the matter. He then says that if the kid had no prospects, he’d cut him loose, since it’s crueler to let someone chase half-baked dreams.
All Might determines quietly that it’s Aizawa’s way of being kind, but out loud states that they can agree to disagree. Meanwhile, in the background, Sero and Sato notice All Might, which probably leads to class 1a going after him and him fleeing for safety.
We transition to when Izuku is heading home, with him exhausted because of his trip to Recovery Girl. Tenya checks in on him, and Izuku says he’s fine, with us seeing a temporary flashback to the nurse’s office. Izuku notes his finger’s better, but he’s exhausted all of a sudden (he doesn’t remember last time since he was unconscious).
Tumblr media
A couple of things:
Kamui Woods pez dispenser
Oh, so if he doesn’t have stamina he’ll die! Good to know! :)
Anyways, Izuku thinks about how he can’t keep going on like this and has to figure out how to regulate his power fast. Tenya goes on to talk about how Aizawa had fooled them, making them think that was how it was, only for it to be a deception. (The irony that the mercy was actually unplanned all along gets to me.) Izuku is more relaxed around him now that he realizes Tenya isn’t scary, just super serious.
Ochako rushes over to catch up, asking if they’re heading for the station. Tenya calls her ‘Infinity Girl’ and Izuku repeats it mentally in surprise. Ochako introduces herself, and then brings up their names - though she mistakes Izuku’s name for ‘Deku’, because of what Katsuki said during the test. Izuku corrects her with awkward hand gestures, saying his real name and that the ‘Deku’ is just Katsuki being a bully.
Tenya and Ochako both acknowledge this, with Ochako apologizing, and then mentioning how ‘Deku’ sounds like ‘do your best’, and that she likes it. Izuku goes beet fucking red and immediately replies that Deku is fine, with Tenya chastising him for not showing backbone while Izuku calls it like the Copernican Revolution and Ochako questions who Copernicus is.
The narration takes over, noting that even if there’s a lot he can’t do, he’ll do his best, but having All Might and even some friends behind him… it’s more than he could have asked for.
Tumblr media
Good children. Best friends. God, these were the good days… more OG Dekucrew content please and thanks.
We get one panel of Toshinori that Izuku’s got no time to rest, and that tomorrow the real test begins. Then we’re onto the next day, aka the first day of actual classes - and oh, right, UA has clubs, that’s something that’s easy to forget when we never see it with the hero classes. I mean, considering that the actual hero training classes probably overlap the usual club hours, not surprising, but still.
Present Mic is shown to be the English teacher, trying to get the kids in the spirit of class, but pretty much everyone is finding it boring - asides from Izuku, who is actually trying to answer the question mentally, even if not out loud. The narration notes that the mornings are for normal classes, and that lunch is top-notch food for dirt cheap in the cafeteria (as cooked by Lunch Rush), and then hero training is in the afternoon… possibly after lunch? Which isn’t great when people could end up throwing up. Ah well.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
These fucking dorks. Two peas in a quirkless-to-superpowered pea pod.
And of course, more meta from the class on how All Might’s drawn differently.
Anyways, All Might gets into Hero Basic Training, how it’ll mold them into heroes, and that there’s no time to waste as he shows off a card reading ‘battle’ before stating that they have battle training.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Have I mentioned he’s a dork? There’s more ham here than in Shatner’s performances in the original Star Trek series!
Katsuki is thrilled with battle training, of course. All Might notes that for battle training, the class will need - as the wall clicks and opens several drawers with numbered cases, each with contents in accordance with the quirk registry and the special request forms fill out before admission - costumes! Which the class is super hyped about. Izuku is holding his backpack in excitement, and All Might orders the students to come out to Ground Beta in ranking order once they’re changed, to which the class agrees.
As he takes his leave, he notes that looking good is important, and to look alive, because from today on, they’re all heroes! We also get some nice transition moments showing pieces of people’s costumes, with Izuku being the last one out as the rest show theirs off.
Tumblr media
So cool! And what a way to end a chapter and a book! And a nice nod to the prototype costume for Izuku. Time to say goodbye to it before the end of this arc.
Next time, I’ll try to get through all the bonus stuff for the end of the volume, and then we can get into the battle trial proper! Looking forward to that.

Chapter 1: Anxieties
“Kara, come here,” the elderly, soothing voice called out from the wheelchair that was parked in the corner of the room. The purple-haired girl looked up from the book that she had been reading by the delicate fire blazing in the fireplace. She placed it down carefully before she rushed over to where her grandmother was sitting. “Sit on my lap, child,” she cooed, patting her legs with a gentle smile.
She did as she was told, sitting down carefully. “What is it, Grandmother?” she asked curiously. The elderly woman had always made her read before bed and never before had she interrupted that time, so her doing so now only spiked the child’s curiosity.
“I would like to tell you a story. Something that you will need for your entire life,” she answered, her eyes becoming distant and wistful. “Do you know where Soulmarks come from?”
“Everyone is born with a Soulmark,” she answered, fidgeting a bit sheepishly. “And they get bolder until you meet your Soulmate.”
“Correct,” the older woman said, her voice sounding wondrously prideful. She raised her sleeve a bit, exposing her arm. The wrinkled skin held a small white heart with a black lock in the middle of it.“This is my Soulmark, and your grandfather’s. Do you know where they came from originally? The tale of how humans were blessed with Soulmates?”
“No,” Kara shook his head, causing long purple hair to fall over her shoulder and in front of her violet eyes.
“It started in Greece. Humans were originally made of beings with multiple heads and limbs. Though they all only had one heart, shared with multiple souls. One day, the human all tried to climb up the mountain to get to the places where the Gods lived despite being warned not to,” the elderly woman began to ramble. On her lap, her granddaughter listened intently. “The Gods grew angry, and as a punishment, they split them up into what we think of as humans now. Two arms, two legs, one head, and one soul, but the hearts were all broken into pieces. Soon, the other Gods from elsewhere heard what had happened and did the same thing to the humans that they were ruling over, as a way to make sure that the Greeks were getting properly punished. Once all of the humans were split up, they were forced elsewhere across the world. They were all hurting and aching as they tried to find the people that they had once been connected with. After quite some time, Aphrodite, one of the Greek Gods got together with the other Gods of love, and they all formed Soulmarks. Now, our Soulmarks lead us to those that we love.”
“Are mother and father Soulmates?” Kara asked, remembering every time that she had heard the two of them shouting at each other like they were nemeses.
“Yes, they are. Even if they do not get along as well as your grandfather and I do. Not everyone loves their Soulmate in the same way. Some people just find their best friends in their Soulmate, some people find their life partners,” the woman explained, putting her hand on the young girl’s back as she sensed her getting upset.
“Does everyone have only one Soulmate?” she asked, her arm immediately flying to her lower arm where her four Soulmarks rested.
“No, little one,” her grandmother soothed, placing a careful hand on her arm. “You are very special. You have four Soulmates who will love and care for you. Though you must love and care for them just as much as they do for you.”
“What if they don’t love me?” she asked, getting a bit unsure. If all five of them were Soulmates, there had to be a chance that they wouldn’t love her.
“Kara,” her grandmother sighed, the name making the little girl flinch a bit. The elderly woman took notice of the flinch but chose not to say anything about it. “It is impossible for someone to not love you. Even if they do not want you as a romantic partner, or if you do not want them as a romantic partner, they will love you in a way.”
“Promise?” she asked, holding up her hand with only her pinky finger up.
“I promise,” her grandmother answered, wrapping her shaky pinky finger around the young girl’s.
Hitoshi blinked as he woke up, tears pushing out of his eyes and running down his face. It had been so long since he had thought about the memory of his grandmother.
So much had changed since then, and it was truly the last calm moment that he had had with her. She had passed away almost two weeks later, leaving his grandfather grieving so much that he had passed away a month later. It had been completely world-shattering for him to lose both of his grandparents in such quick succession of each other. They had been his primary caretakers seeing as his parents were rarely ever home.
He had been six when he had to learn to take care of himself. He had learned how to make breakfast from his grandmother before she passed away and lunch was served at school, so he hadn’t had to worry about either of those. Dinner had been harder, which left him so hungry that his stomach hurt most days. He lost scary amounts of weight until he had been so thin that his teacher called the police on his parents. His home life was thoroughly investigated. He was removed from his home when it had been deemed unsafe, and given to a foster parent that didn’t want another troubled kid.
He had only lasted there for about three months before he was passed onto the next home. He spent the next three years being moved from home to home to home, never finding anyone that wanted to keep a malnourished, ‘freak’ of a kid. Having that happen only made his already existing anxiety ten times worse. He had been nine when he realized that the reason that he kept getting passed around was the fact that he had four Soulmarks on his arm. Another reason was that he had started asking to be called Hitoshi instead of Kara as he discovered that he related less and less with the female identity.
When he was ten, he fell into the only foster home that kept him for more than six months. They also fully accepted him when it came to his name and pronouns. They had even gone so far as to ask the school he was attending to call him by his preferred name and pronouns as well. They didn’t have any other foster kids, so they paid a lot of their attention to him.
When he was twelve, he was diagnosed with PTSD from the trauma he had experienced when he was six and began to go to therapy. That same year, the couple that was fostering him adopted him. Just as his thoughts traveled to the couple that he now called his dads, one of them knocked on his door.
“Hitoshi, get up,” Shouta called out, his voice just as tired and put out as he felt. The purple-haired boy groaned just loud enough that his adoptive father could hear him as he pushed himself off of his bed. He paused, waiting for the tell-tale sounds of footsteps walking away from his bedroom door. Once he heard them he shed his night clothes and grabbed his new school uniform. He was still disgruntled from the more than vivid dream that he had had, meaning that it was harder to get his binder to fit than it was on most days.
He stumbled out of his room almost ten minutes later, finally dressed into the uniform for the high school that he was going to be attending. It was early in the morning, earlier than most students would be up on their first day of school. He had to go to the school with his adoptive dads, who both taught there. “Remember to take your meds,” Hizashi called from where he was sitting at the table.
“Yeah,” Hitoshi mumbled as he walked across the tiny hall to the bathroom. He opened the cupboard, pulling out the small prescription bottle. The pills were tiny, making it easy for him to swallow even on days where he woke up feeling so anxious that his throat closed off. His stomach rolled a bit as he grabbed one of the pills out of the bottle. The thought of having to eat or drink anything was incredibly unappealing, but he knew that everything would be ten times more awful if he didn’t take the meds. He took a deep breath, soothing himself a bit before he tossed his head back and forced the entire mouthful of water down his throat with the pill.
He shuffled back to the kitchen, rubbing his throat as he tried to soothe himself. Both of his adoptive fathers sat at the table, Shouta having his morning cup of coffee that he always needed to fully wake up. “You ready for your first day of school?” Hizashi asked, looking away from where he been staring at his husband.
“Not really,” he sighed, sitting down at the only other seat at the table. He reached behind him, stretching a bit to grab the fidget cube that he had on the bookcase by the wall. His hands fell into his lap as he began to play with it.
“What are you worried about?” Shouta asked, peeking out at him from over his coffee cup. “With both of us working there it’s not like you’ll get bullied like you did in middle school. We’ll make damn sure of that.”
“Shouta, swearing, You should get out of that habit before we start teaching again,” Hizashi huffed, looking at his husband for a minute before he turned back to adoptive son. “Middle school is really the worst part of everyone’s life, everything gets a little bit better in high school.”
“Dad, I get that you’re trying to help, but the kids kind of a had a reason for bullying me. No one has four Soulmates, it’s weird.”
“Not really. Having a weird set of Soulmates is pretty much normal at this school. One of your other teachers has two Soulmates who aren’t Soulmates with each other, just with him. Having several Soulmates isn’t weird, you’re just special,” Shouta rambled, staring down into the dark brown liquid that filled his mug.
“Okay. Whatever. I still have to go to school regardless of whether or not I want to,” he sighed, rolling his eyes a bit. He tugged on his sleeves, trying to hide the marks that peaked out of the bottom of his uniform.
He had four Soulmarks, one of which was planted so low on his arm that it peeked out from underneath his sleeve. The one at the top was an intricate yellow monkey. The one underneath it was a white glove, and then a pink horn. The one on his wrist was a silver engine. He had spent a lot of sleepless night staring at them, wondering who might be looking at the same Soulmarks, wondering why they had been blessed with four Soulmates instead of the normal one. As he waited for his fathers to say that it was time to go, his mind strayed to what kind of people his Soulmates would be.
The yellow monkey, would they be joyous and playful? Would they have blond hair? Would they be the class clown, or would they be the prankster?
The white glove, would they be rich? Or would they be deaf? Would they love Winter when they got to wear gloves? Or would they work in a garden?
The pink horn, would they like animals? Did they even like the color pink? Were they bullheaded? Or maybe they were aggressive?
The silver engine, were they rich? Or were they a mechanic? Would they smell like gasoline and oil? Would they be brilliant? Or would they be a burly man who was only good for moving heavy things?
Those were only some of the questions that had raced through his mind during his sleepless, fidgeting nights spent worrying. But there was always one that terrified him more than anything.
Would they accept him for being trans?
