things to remember in 2023
goodbye emo era, goodbye empath era, goodbye all you eras that have been putting others + emotions at the center of everything. hello self-serving era. self-serving, not selfish. see, more accurate vocabulary can make all the difference.
choose people who choose you. bare minimum is not impressive. it’s only an indicator that hmmm maybe I can explore what something with this person could lead to. it’s the basic eligibility criteria for opening up your time/schedule to someone, not heart. only time.
new people don’t need to know life stories and trauma from before 2018. if you want to talk about it just write about it, write it into your book.
do not listen to your parents. I mean this in the most respectful possible way. you are an adult now, you make your own decisions. because 20 years from now if you are sad and miserable and hating your life and you tell them hey it’s because you made me la la la chances are they are going to turn around and be like nobody forced you, you were an adult, you made your own decisions. so just make your own decisions. and they would be right. like just dodge the emotional manipulation and the drama and the guilt and lack of validation from them for a bit and go ahead and do things you want to in your life. and you already have daddy issues, right? pacify them in bed or something idk. just make your own bloody decisions independent of what your family/others expect of you.
explore more Hindi music.
channelize certain things you’ve seen in most men around you. channelize compartmentalization. channelize binary problem solving. channelize cutting your losses and exiting at the right time from romantic situations that do not have any future no matter how much you feel for them in the present.
do not force yourself to write fiction. maybe you don’t want to create stories. maybe you just want to write down what you already know. maybe you just want to write creative non-fiction. why is that a bad thing? don’t you think it’s time to let go of the ideas you have hyper-romanticized and see things for what they really are and then work with them?
dating apps are not where you will find love. hook-ups, maybe. but drama-free hook-ups? yeah, not quite sure about that either. let’s just go back to how we were before? let’s just focus on our life and believe that love will happen if and when it’s supposed to?
self-dates must make a return. you found that amazing second-hand bookseller next to your home and your favourite cafe from Bangalore is now in Mumbai and so many new art galleries are opening up around and when was the last time you went to Marine Drive and maybe it’s time to sneak into your college to go have your favourite food again from the canteen and maybe after work you can stay around and explore the popular bars and maybe you can find a post office next to your new apartment so you can start sending letters and packages to your best friend again. I know, I know 2022 was a year of such dramatic highs that gave you such adrenaline rush that coming back to things that were more grounded and brought you joy seems difficult but baby please. you cannot run towards psychosis so soon, okay? come back.
on that note, let’s find a yoga class around your apartment and also a gurudwara.
sign up for experiences and invest for the long term but do not invest in material things like furniture. at this point you are the typical mid-20s person who is free to up and leave whenever and wherever and you haven’t found a place you want to call home yet anyway. so keep your money liquid, don’t lock it up in stupid things, but invest for the long-term in equity assets to create wealth. also, go meet your accountant please. and get life insurance.
do not let family stuff get to you emotionally. deal with it in a logistic, functional, and objective way. as much as possible.
you really don’t have to respond to people within 24 hours, 48 hours, or even a week. I mean other than very few selected people (family, best friend, and your partner), nobody is owed your immediate attention. and even these inner circle people are owed your immediate attention only in a way where you keep them in the loop to let them know you are alive and doing okay.
you are a warm person and it’s easy for people to like you wherever you go. but you have such limited time, energy, and brain cells. you cannot scale yourself like a company. which means if you more people want to get to know you, talk to you, etc., you can’t supply them with that because you are not a scalable product. okay? okay.
earning more money will help only in a limited manner if you do not budget and control your spending. it’s not the person who earns more that is rich but the person who saves and invests and doesn’t take debt for consumption purposes. you can no longer be the ironic financial writer like in the confessions of a shopaholic. you are no longer a kid, you are an adult who has to take care of yourself and soon your dependents and so you cannot keep ranting on about capitalism while falling constant prey to it. instead you have to benefit from it.
figure out what is your choice of poison. for when you wanna just vibe, for when you want to get drunk drunk, for when you wanna be bhand. figure it out.
think of studying Korean as doing an undergrad degree. so you know you have to stick with this for the next three years. this way you don’t see it as a short-term fancy but as a longer term commitment and reach level 6 of fluency in the language. this way, by the time you are in your late 20s, you will actually be able to read Korean books in Hangul and not the English translation. that’s your goal, isn’t it? and writing poetry in Korean too.
your high school friend answered the question no doctor was. when you drink alcohol, make sure there is a 3-hour gap between that and your medication. but also keep the drinking in check. I mean honestly, iced coffee and fresh fruit juices for the win.
you go through people like you go through books. but people are not books. time to pick up actual books again and press pause on people.
do not commit anything to anybody because you have no sense of stability or certainty in your life right now. that doesn’t make you flighty. that doesn’t make you irresponsible. in fact, it makes you responsible because you aren’t making promises you aren’t sure you are capable of keeping even if you want to keep them. actions > intentions.
time to have a skincare routine. your sister has written you a whole blog on it - just follow that.
also oh my god. being twenty five/twenty six does not make you old. you don’t have to look at the younger people you interact with and feel uncool or outdated because then that’s how you’ll always feel. like when you were younger, you would look at the older people and think they are so cool, graceful, smart, and badass. divine, even. then that’s what you are becoming now. not knowing what certain emojis and slang means really has no bearing on how relevant you are.
this isn’t an exhaustive list, so come back. don’t just write this and forget all about it. come back, review, revise, add. but most importantly, remember. remember this is for you. so that you minimise pain and failure and shitty feelings and maximise peace and success and joy. and you do like optimum utilisation of resources, don’t you? so do that. apply yourself for yourself. that’s where the returns are the highest.

the way you described Las Vegas in the tags of that orb post is honestly a little poetic. what’s your favorite part of the city?
HAHA thank you. i love my home (said in a derogatory but endeared way)
hmmm. that’s always hard to say. i like how connected everything is and how diverse this city is!! you can get all sorts of food here and participate in so much culture and meet all kinds of people… it’s hard to narrow it down to One Thing
i like downtown. fremont street does free concerts every weekend. the haunted museum is REALLY fun. every month we have art fests (first friday!! last saturday!!) and you get really involved in the local art scene. also chinatown!!! my bestie chinatown
my favorite “tourism” place is area 15. omega mart by meow wolf. i’ve been there 5 times now. it’s my favorite piece of interactive art and has a sincerely fun and well written story attached to it. i’ve discovered something new every time i’ve gone!!! i recommend it to everyone. i take everyone i can there
we also have rly good hiking. red rock. mt charleston. we’re very close to the valley of fire and zion national park!! it’s great.
also we’re all very dedicated hockey fans and being a part of this city sports culture is really something else. vgk’s inaugural season started right after the october 1 mass shooting and they had a significant impact in strengthening the community after the fact. it was through hockey that we wholly adopted #VegasSTRONG, a far different city motto from the infamous “what happens in vegas, stays in vegas” and it feels really. idk. it’s a really special thing. their 2023 stanley cup win was deeply important in ways i can’t begin to explain.
i dunno. i like the people here. everyone is kind. everyone cares. we’re a big city but i do think we’re very tight and small as a community. sometimes when we go to a residency show on the strip and the lights come on and we see people we know. sometimes at a hotel i get asked where i’m from and when i say “here!” their face lights up and we suddenly speak the same language
gotta say though as a local: i drive by the Sphere a lot. like it’s part of my evening commute when i’m forced onto the strip. i can see it from my house. one time the giant emoji turned to face the freeway while i was on my way to work on a rainy morning and i was jumpscared so bad i nearly swerved my car off

I was tagged by @twinkodium. This was a lot of fun! Thanks for the tag! 😊
Star Sign:
Aries. 🐏 (I don’t believe in zodiac signs and their supposed meanings. I just know I’m an Aries as I was born on 22nd March. 🤷🏻♀️)
Favourite Holiday:
Easter! 🐰🥚🌸 Because chocolate. I’m ADDICTED to the stuff! 🍫 Also, Spring is one of my favourite seasons. I just love seeing nature come back to life and seeing more wildlife more often after a long winter period. It brings me so much joy every single time. 😌
Last Meal:
I’ve just eaten homemade toad-in-the-hole for linner (dinner at lunchtime). It was deeeeelicious! 🤤😋
Current Favourite Musician:
Depeche Mode. I fell in love with them ever since they released their latest album Memento Mori (2023). I pretty much binged the whole of their discography on Spotify last year out of sheer curiosity and I’ve now become strangely obsessed with them as a result. I’ve recently learned that fans of DM are called “Devotees”, soooo yeah. I’m a Devotee now! Whoopsie! 🌹🎹
Last Music Listened To:
Meet Me In The Woods by Lord Huron. I like me a good folk rock song to keep me going. This song was just so pleasant to listen to. Plus, it’s very catchy. I couldn’t get it out of my head after listening to it.
Last Movie Watched:
I watched The Ballad of Buster Scruggs (2018) with my parents on Netflix a couple of weeks ago. For those who don’t know, it’s an anthology film of sorts containing many different stories centred around the Wild West. My dad recommended it to me as he likes watching films made by the Coen Brothers. I don’t have a lot to say about it other than I really enjoyed it. I’m a film buff and I usually have a lot to say about the films I’ve just seen, so having that happen to me was really odd. 🤔
Last TV Show Watched:
I don’t watch a lot of TV and I don’t keep up to date with any shows, so I don’t know if what I’ve put down counts.
I recently finished watching the Fernando (2020–) docuseries on Amazon Prime and I loved it. 🤩 It’s mainly about Fernando Alonso and the many adventures he got up to during his 2-year retirement from F1. It’s really interesting!
Last Book/Fic Finished:
The last book I read was The Bourne Identity by Robert Ludlum and the last fic I read was a Chalex fic called I Can Feel The Sun On You by mintchocolatechip97.
Last Book/Fic Abandoned:
The book I abandoned quite swiftly was a Dave Grohl autobiography my uncle and auntie got me for Christmas. I was never a Foo Fighters listener and I’m not a Foo Fighters fan. I still have no idea why they thought I’d like it. Sorry to the people who like them, they’re just not for me. 🙁
Currently Reading:
A Pocketful Of Happiness by Richard E. Grant. It’s such a sweet, tender, and heartbreaking autobiography that highlights how he got into acting and how he met and fell in love with his acting coach Joan Washington. ❤️
Last Thing Researched for Writing/Art/Hyperfixation:
“sebastian vettel mark webber 2010 monaco”. Just seeing pictures of these two smiling and hugging each other makes me smile. 🥰 I was also psyching myself up for this week’s F1 Watch Party on Discord, which, funnily enough, will be streaming the 2010 Monaco Grand Prix this Sunday. I can’t wait!!!! 🏎️💨🏁
Favourite Fandom Online Memory:
I love making friends through their interests in the fandom. The F1 community is massive, so it was easy for me to make friends online and in person as a result. I can feel comfortable being weird around them and in turn they can feel comfortable being weird around me. 🥰🥰🥰
Favourite Old Fandom You Wish Would Drag You Back In/Have A Resurgence:
I used to love the Merlin fandom when it was popular. I still do, but not as strongly as I used to.
Favourite Thing You Enjoy That Never Had an Active or Big “Fandom” But You Wish It Did:
Hmmm, this is a tough question. I’m not fussed with how popular my fandom choices are. If I had to choose one though, I’d say The Beatles. I think a lot of RPFs about certain bands and singers don’t get as much attention as, say, Formula 1 or Super Mario or Supernatural do.
Tempting Project You’re Trying To Rein In/Don’t Have Time For:
I really want to post some more fanfics on AO3, make some more banners on InShot, and do some video editing and gif making on CapCut, but I’m incredibly slow at doing all of them because college work keeps getting in the way of my plans. 😵💫 I hardly have enough free time to do any of them. Don’t worry though, I haven’t abandoned them altogether. I will get them done eventually! 🤞🏻
I tag the following peeps: @kaossbells, @hurricane-heatt, @racingliners, @formulaes5, and @wanderingblindly. Feel free to participate if you’d like to. No pressure obviously. 😊

So, it is the last day of the year... Let's reflect, shall we... You probably all know what happened at the end of last year. My husband got sick, I brought him to the hospital thinking it is an easy fix and then he was basically dying with sepsis. So yeah, that was... not great. Especially with all the complications that arose. He is home now, but he is not healthy yet. We have at least one surgery left and it will happen in January and then I hope he can finally go into rehab for good. The good news are, he is getting better and better at home, he even can stand for a few seconds, so I am positive a proper rehab can be done towards the end. He will be disabled for a good while though. Anyway, this year has been a challenge, both emotionally and physically, because I was suddenly alone and had to handle things that my husband normally does. I kinda realized I am stronger than I look then because carrying two sixpacks of 1,5 l water bottles was impossible for me once. It isn't anymore. I tried being creative when I found time, but I had to admit to myself that it isn't happening somewhen in Summer, so I went on hiatus, only writing when I truly had nothing else to do and going on a complete art hiatus. I miss it though. I want to write and draw regularly again, but there are still too many things in my mind. Mainly the stuff with my driver's licence because for some reason me running to my husband in hospital while in distress and accidentally damaging a car while parking which I didn't even notice is a warrant to punish me really really hard. I am still salty about that, yes! So how did I cope? Easily with indulging myself in video games: Let me put that under the cut:
When the thing with my husband first happened I barely was able to do anything. I was mostly cleaning and tidying up the apartment and then watch videos on Youtube because if I broke out in tears during this it was easy to pause and blow my nose. It took a few days and my husband getting better so that I could try and do other stuff again. And I really really indulged myself into Pokémon Scarlet. The games were pretty fresh during that time and I played them a little but not much, but now... I was hooked. I had days off work and if I wasn't visiting my husband, I would sit in front of my Switch and play Pokémon Scarlet and my god, did I love it! The story, the characters, the open world, the music... yes they are technical not well programmed, but I did never mind because that game gave me a peace of mind. Even after I finished the story I sat there each evening doing the Tera Raids. I love the Tera raids. Gen. 9 games are easily my favourite Pokémon games since Gen. 4 and funnily enough, when Gen. 4 came out I also had a hard time in my life, so I guess Pokémon is like my therapy game now... But of course I wasn't playing Pokémon the whole year. After I was done with it, I decided to finally finish Darkest Dungeon with a little help of one of my Discord servers. I pretty much only had the Darkest Dungeon left, but it takes a while because a group that went into it will never enter it again, so you basically have to level up four teams for each quest and that only if you don't fail it. Anyway, I had the game on hiatus for a whole year, so it felt good to finally finish it. And then I was like "Oh, I remember Anno 1800. I bought the History version a while ago but never played it. Let's do it." I then installed the game and was like "Hmmm, maybe I should get the other DLCs as well?" and they were on sale so I just got the last pack and started Anno 1800 with all DLCs activated.
And I got hooked for the first part of 2023. God, I played this game a lot. I also streamed it to friends so they could indulge in the towns that are being build up. Me and my friend Panda called it the "Autism game" because it basically is like building up your own miniature model town, only that everything is alive and moves around. The game however, can get overwhelming, especially with all DLCs, so I wasn't able to play it lately. I want to come back to it though. I also got myself into the Cooking Mama games when I was depressed and browsed Amazon for used DS games to see if I can get some nice deals. I bought the first Cooking Mama, tried it and was hooked. After a while I decided to buy the rest of the series and had five games to play for my DS and 3DS. I finished them all and they were a really good time. They also renewed my interest in trying new recipes at home, but that has to wait until my husband is better. And then I downloaded Final Fantasy 14, in an attempt to connect better to my husband because he played this game a lot before he became sick. I quickly got hooked, mostly because of the music. I upgraded to the full game even before I finished Heavensward (which is included in the free trial) and am currently at Endwalker and wow, just wow! There are flaws of course, but this story has been a roller coaster and I really have fun with the group content like the dungeons and the alliance raids and stuff! I hope my husband can go back to his character soon (his hands bother him still so he doesn't want to play) so we can play together. And that after I was like "Nah, after WoW I will never play a MMO again." Whoops... Speaking of Final Fantasy, in February TheatRhythm Final Bar Line released and I played the shit out of that game! I love the FF music, I love rhythm games, it is a match made in heaven. I even tried my hand on the supreme scores and they are truly super duper hard! Could only clear them with a full healer team, but playing them also meant that ultimate felt easy... I also played a charming indie game named Ato at the start of the year. It is basically a Metroidvania bossrush, but a really really good one with hidden lore you can find in the world. The final boss had me in tears and the music was so so good! I wholeheartedly recommend this game. It isn't super long either, you can finish that game in eight to ten hours depending on your skill.
In summer there released the new Harvest Moon and Story of Seasons games, but I kinda wasn't hooked with them. I will probably play them more once my husband is better. Instead, however, I got hooked by Rune Factory 3. I bought both 3 and 4 Special Edition for my Switch and decided to play 3 for and this game is so charming and I love the characters a lot and the gameplay loop is fun and ugh, why didn't I play these games sooner?! Yeah, I played RF3 a lot and I still have to finish it, but my husband mostly has the Switch at the moment and he deserves it after being away for a whole year ^^ Speaking of the Switch, Metroid Prime Remastered! My birthday gift for myself. The game is as fantastic as ever and even though I didn't 100 % it, I got a lot of the items and then beat the final boss. And speaking of big Nintendo IPs, Zelda Tears of the Kingdom. Like BotW it needed a while to grip me, but once it did, I was fascinated! I still have to finish it however, it is a big game and it will keep me busy for a while longer. Now it is the end of the year. I am still busy with FF14 and Zelda ToTK. Pokémon DLC released and I wanna play that. And I bought Lies of P for my PS5 and love it so far! I am updating you guys about Lies of P regularly and sometimes about FF14 and Zelda. Also, I decided to use my Steamdeck more, so I play a dungeon crawler named Silent Hope on it (from the Story of Seasons developers, that got me interested) and I started a cozy game named Potion Permit. Of course I threw my Laurence into it. Feels fitting for him to be a chemist xD What will the new year bring? Hopefully my husband will be better and will be able to walk again. Other than that, I hope that I keep my licence. And then... I just hope that I can continue being creative and if not... I keep playing my games.

2023 Self Check
Honestly, having an overall middling year where most of my troubles were my brain’s fault was kind of a breath of fresh air. Being out of commission for most of last year with a fucked up knee at least got me thankful every morning I can get up and walk around without a brace or cane. I don’t really agree with the doctors and my Dad that I’m “young” but I’m apparently still young enough I can heal. That said, I’m kind of let down in myself for letting depression and laziness get the best of me like, worse than usual this year. It hit kind of hard when sitting back and going through old archives of content and realizing that:
Sketch-A-Day was 2015 Eishi and Dixie was before that Revolver Knight ran from 2005-2008 or 2009
Meaning I’d basically failed to really deliver on any of the series/game/etc ideas I’d pitched from 2016 onward with the arguable exception of the dungeon crawler card game’s first version. If anyone was curious as to whether I’d touched on some of that stuff in the meantime the status of my Things right now is:
Angel Dust (The Gatty Thing)- Pretty much axed, as much as I love the character, it was kind of turning into edge for edge’s sake. The thing about Gatty Ling is I’ve had the idea of an erratic, destructive but adorable and well meaning character kicking around for ages but she’s kind of just a blank slate beyond those traits and I’ve tried to plunk her into like three completely unrelated settings with different origins. I was also attempting to kind of do a distinct art… sub…style with her stuff closer to a moe VN look, really pump up the cute to make the dark stuff pop, but well, Madoka already exists and the last iteration was basically Madoka with Robots. I probably wouldn’t rule it out forever but I’ve kind of been using some bits and pieces of the setting to flesh out the Plane Girls Thing
Revolver Knight Reload- I got like three pages into drawing a complete remake of my old webcomic, but kind of got cold feet from a combination of things. I didn’t think I was ready to take on another gigantic long form story, though I promise that the new version was *MUCH* more refined. Like Gatty, I wouldn’t say it’s *impossible* I mess with this, but I think I might look into something closer to a light novel with spot illustrations than a full on comic in the interest of like, finishing before I die.
Critical Heaven (The plane girl thing)- Still active, but having a bit of an identity crisis. It began as a ‘skirmish’ tabletop wargame then I got to thinking about it as more of a shmup-inspired duel game. The format of tabletop/print is also kind of iffy because I know people would be more likely to play it digitally and I have like, zip experience putting a substantial game project together. There’s also a more or less complete ‘campaign’ jotted half in my head and half in my notepad (putting it in a game with multiple endings would save me from deciding which ending to give it, hmmm.) But in short, yeah this is still being picked at.
Irrgarten (The Dungeon Card Thing)- I know I lead off with kind of the downer limbo thing but I’ve actually not totally abandoned this, definitely not the setting. Surprise, Radona is from this world! Really, I could probably bring this back pretty easily by revising the original game rules, the biggest issue we ran into play testing was that items didn’t ‘feel’ very valuable- characters were strong enough on their own not to need them. Maybe I can bump this up in priority.
There are probably other story ideas I’ve mentioned over the years and not followed up on, but characters from axed stuff do tend to surface in other projects if I’m attached enough to them. If there are any particular things that you enjoyed my work in or reading about in the past, do let me know. I’ve had a hard time motivating myself, so a nudge wouldn’t be a bad thing about now. Next year, I would really like to put more effort into having a regular “thing” to work on, maybe I’ll bring back some gag comics. Definitely plan to do more drawing in general because drawing one decent thing then going radio silent for two weeks leads to needing to de-rust like, every time. I’m a creature very vulnerable to inertia.
So, no promises here, but my goals going into 2024:
Put some time into practicing more ‘dynamic’ content like simple animation and game design since I have like three game making programs sitting around
Regular art posting, with a focus on improving quality and speed
Minding my health more since it’s easier to be active when there’s less of me to move
Establish a more regular streaming schedule since it helps me trim down my backlog
This kind of turned into more navel gazing than I had planned to be doing, but I thought this was a good time to touch base on some things since I’m back to posting here… well, okay, ‘regularly’ is a stretch, but there are a lot of things I’ve brought up before and not followed up on in a long time. If anyone has still been reading this- thank you, truly. I hope that with a bit more focus and less dwelling on the gnawing darkness in my gut, we can have some fun here again.
Oh, yeah, by the way- also been kicking around a top X games list I may get to posting soon, but may save for New Years Eve.

“Quick” Blog/Writing/Art Update: May/June 2023
Hello everyone! Thank you for your patience! Sorry, it’s been awhile, but I do hope to be back soon! I’ve had a good long rest from the stresses of social media (I wish I could also say life as well, but I’ve learned it does what it wants!), and I hope to be at least semi active again by the time Bleach is back in early July! Thanks again for your patience! 🥰
Now unfortunately when I say semi-active, I really do mean semi-active. I won’t go into detail about my real life stuff, but it causes me enough stress that I’ve realized I can’t deal with it and social media stress at the same time. So I probably won’t be on here as often, and will be posting even less, but I want you all to know that I still love all y’alls stuff and will look at it when I can! I took a peek just recently to try and get back into the groove (the app has really changed in the last few months, huh?) and saw you all were talking about Soul Society Trains awhile back, and I’m so sorry I missed it because OMIGOSH DO I WANT IT TO BE CANON! Like can you imagine if Squad 12 designed one?! It would be a horror show, with a bunch of little feet and eyes and horns and UGH! Or maybe, due to how Soul Society is layed out, it’s a subway instead! Maybe it's an immortal mole creature that travels underground on some well known migratory route, and if you’re knowledgeable and crazy enough, you can just grab its fur and hold on tight to get where you need to go faster! Where was I going with this? Oh, right! You all are great, and I hope to read more of your ideas, and headcanons, and other stuff whenever I’m able!
What else…oh yes, posting content. So you know how I was talking about social media stress? Yeah, posting causes a lot of that. Creating though, causes less of that though, sometimes even decreases it. Like I literally sleep better if I write fanfiction before bed (sad, I know, but hear me out). So what’s the solution? Well, I could just never post, but I like sharing with others too! So what I’ve decided to do instead is post in seasons kind of like a tv show! I’ll work on fanfiction/fanart throughout the year, and then once October hits, I’ll post whatever I finish on a sort of schedule, like every Saturday or something. That way, I won’t feel stressed to get something out every month and I can work on multiple stories at the same time (which is my preferred way to write)! That said, since I won’t be online as much, I may be pretty slow in answering messages/questions/comments/etc, so I want to apologize in advance. Know that I still love and appreciate all of you, and will get back when I can!
Hmmm…Any last details? Oh yes, fanart and Bloodlines. I’m gonna be honest, y’all, fanart has been slow coming. I wanted to do more fan comics, but I haven’t had a lot of inspiration or motivation lately. I unfortunately might have to save that idea for next year, but if I do, I do have a back up plan that I think you all will like, so hopefully that works out. But for now, we’ll just have to wait and see!
Bloodlines…will be out…this year…or so help me, I’ll- *cough* Anyway, work on it has been going steadily, which should make me happy, but for some reason has got me extremely nervous. Like, is it going steadily because it’s close to finishing? Or is it going steadily because I missed a major flaw? Like will I be about to post it and realize I need to REWRITE THE ENTIRE THING! These thoughts plague me. Current improvements! I’ve learned what chapter hooks are and have implemented them to make the beginnings more interesting! Also, while I think Bloodlines is still a good “series” title, it is no longer a good title for the piece. The new working title is “Learning to Breathe”. I think that better encapsulates the story I’m trying to tell! Current worries! Is the climax “climaxy” enough? Does the build up pay off in the end? Do the dramatic moments make sense? DO I NEED TO REWRITE THE ENTIRE THING???
Anyway, I think that is finally, actually it! If you made it to the end, that’s pretty amazing of you! One day, I’ll learn to summarize my thoughts better, but today is not that day! See you all in July when Bleach comes back! I’m so hyped!

Title: A masterpiece by SPOT
This is another drawing for my OC Spot! 🙂
He might be a driver apprentice, but also he's have interest in ARTISTIC DRAWING! EATING is an example for his interest! :3 He draws a Liked-Subaru Impreza WRX STi Spec C Limited. His personal car, you've seen that on my TUNING CARD from WANGAN MIDNIGHT MAXIMUM TUNE 3 DX+
NOTE: Hmmm……..For me I don't think, This is not a SUBARU IMPREZA of my drawing! But I'm not quite sure…………..🤔 No wait, Spot had a answer….🙂
Spot 🐶🏎️: *chuckle* Of course it's an Impreza! 😄 What else what it look like? 😅

1. according to Spotify Wrapped I listened to one song 1041 times, and that was Just A Man by Jorge Rivera-Herrans.
2. I have a hard time choosing lol. The one I've listened to the most intently though, was probably Stick Season (We'll All Be Here Forever) by Noah Khan.
3. I can't keep track of when I've found people, so I'll just put in my newest obsession; Phillip Labes, especially Reasons To Never Date Again and Jeff Found A Genie.
4. I can't keep track of movies either lol. I'm honestly not even sure what movies I've watched.. But Across the Spider-Verse is from 2023, right? that one then, I think.
5. tv show.. hmmm.. I mostly rewatch old shows or get to them late.. but I did watch Good Omens and have been obsessed since. best ineffable husbands ever.
6. i am not sure how to answer this lol. don't think I understand the question.
7. nope, can't do it. can't choose a favorite. I can't even choose 1 favorite from a series, let alone the entity world. just no.
8. hmmm.. I honestly haven't played a lot of video games this year.. But probably Dave the Diver.. I enjoyed that immensely, at least until I f'ed up. now we're on a break lol
9. Idk.. they're all flowing together. Maybe August because I got to go to Copenhagen pride and to a bar with some friends. And it was hot out so I felt better about the world.
10. Man, there's been a lot. Books, tv shows, movies, roleplays, art, tiny inconveniences.. idk, crying comes easy to me.
11. Go to pride!!
12. Started talking to @justthislazy mostly about fandom stuff, but also about random stuff, and she is just fantastic!!
13. It was okay. Brought cake with me to work, then went to my parents place after work and just had a chill day.
14. So many.. I can't choose just one. One series has to be All For The Game by Nora Sakavic. Read that in January and am still obsessed. Another has to be pretty much K J Charles entire catalogue though especially the Will Darling Adventures and The Doomsday Books. Also The Last Binding by Freya Marske. Magic and love. The Simon Snow books by Rainbow Rowell. The Raven Cycle by Maggie Stiefvater. Love Lessons by Heidi Cullinan. Idk if you guys can see the running theme, but I can lol. I've read more than 150 books this year though, so.. I can't just choose and you can't make me lol.
15. Idk, I think I had them all already lol.
16. idk what kind of image you want, so you get an art. This is from January and was a Secret Santa piece.
17. Same as above, this time my latest piece, finished yesterday on the 11th of December. Very experimental.
18. We eat out on a fancy restaurant every year on my dad's birthday.. And even so, the best meal I've had this year was with @alienaiver eating pork tenderloin and potatoes haha
19. I'm excited to get some peace into my life, now that I'll have more time for myself. Hopefully I'll be able to get a new apartment, maybe a car and possibly a dog.. That would be really neat. I also want to keep improving my art, especially the feel of it and the stories I can tell.
20. Hmmm.. I've learned something about how I need to take care of myself, especially in work situations. I need clear instructions or the task will simply overwhelm me and I'll end up in decision paralysis. I've also learned that when I'm on my ADHD meds, I can actually have a fun time going out to parties or concerts, so I wanna do that more in the new year too.
21. My old bed broke (too much weight on it is the suspicion) so I got a new one! the new one is way taller than I'm used to, and it's amazing haha
22. Oh man.. I haven't really been far from home much this year, only in books and such.. I think it might've been Copenhagen Pride. It's not far from home, and it's not a place that's always around, but I felt welcome there, even at night, and nobody looked at me weird, so it just felt.. right. I wish we could have Pride every day haha
23. Keep working for the goal, we got there. People might not see that you're struggling to stay afloat, but I know you are, and you're doing well!!
24. No, but that's mostly cuz i didn't make any. They're just an endless source of disappointment in myself, and I don't need more of those lol.
25. I did!! Several actually. I finished my Fursona Odd after having worked on it for like 18 months lol.. But that's just a silly character I can get art for. The more interesting characters are my DotW ones.
First off I made this lil kiddo, who turned out to be somewhat hard to write, so I'll be retiring it again, until the day I feel like I can connect again. It is a new iteration of an old character I have held dear to my heart for years, but it turned out too jaded for me to write. It's hard to get a connection to others when your character is slightly mono-syllabic and hates other people..
So Kelly is going on a break: 💔
And then there's my blue tired wet man Harakh. He's an adopted character I made, so the overarching parts of his story and personality had been chosen already, but I still got to give him my own twists, and he has a full story coming for him, that I'm really excited to share, though I don't know how much you guys here on Tumblr will get to see haha
He's the father of one of the other characters, and was born half blind and sickly, so he has learned the trade of storyteller in order to stay fed and have company and he hopes to be able to do so, even with the tragedy that happened to him.
Idk if anyone will actually read this wall of text, but I enjoyed writing it lol

hi!!! this is the playlist anon from before, back to gush over ur music taste! (and i'm sorry this is gonna be a long ask fgdsafjksdh) your playlist was like a godsend in finding some good new music! and i will gladly say what i enjoyed about it! :D first, you reminded me about Metric! i mean- ok, Nimona reminded me about them first when they played Gold Guns Girls (i had a blast during this scene btw dgsh) but it was your playlist that made me really return to them and look more into their music more xD like, when i was listening to Now or Never Now i was like, oh this is so good whats the band and i was shocked it was Metric i had to double check fdsagj this song has just such a different feel than what i remember from them! thanks to you i've been listening to Art of Doubt and i think it's my fave album from them! second, Will Wood, Modest Mouse, Of Monsters and Men, The Crane Wives and Lemon Demon are also always a win in my book! fsdjsdf third, i discovered a lot of new artists thanks to you! but man, if i mentioned all the songs that ur playlist made me discover and add to my faves on spotify i'd have to mention like 90% of the playlist fasdhdfs but my absolute faves are probably the previously mentioned Metric songs, Lessons Learned by Matt and Kim, Boy by Ra Ra Riot, The Distance by Aly & AJ, Quiet Little Voices by We Were Promised Jetpacks (the delicate 'Crunch' on the guiter in this one is delicious!) and Shark Attack by GROUPLOVE in short: great playlist! thought about making/sharing more??? asking for a friend! 👀 (and oh man my music taste is all over the place I can listen to anything so recommending songs and judging what is good is hard fasdgjk but maybe something close in the vibes of ur playlist! hmmm you might already know it but ever heard about Fish in the Birdcage? (i mean the song but it's also a band xd) i had it on constant repeat for so long i love it so much i definitely reccomend it and their music in general! alsooo, maybe Be Good by Dominik Dudek, and sail away by lovelytheband? also idk if it'd be in ur style but this song has been on my constant repeat for the past week so: Great Time To Be Human by Jagwar Twin :D)
oh man ok ok ok
I LOVE Metric!! theyre one of the bands my brother and I both really like and we’ve been to one of their concerts — it was so good! (if youre interested in how that went I took a video of them playing Black Sheep!) I went absolutely rabid when I heard it in Nimona (NIMONA IS SO GOOD!!!!!!)
Will Wood’s IN CASE I DIE album was a huge point of obsession for me last year. my friends were deeply concerned about the amount of times I listened to Cicada Days (Live at Knitting Factory, Spokane, WA)
THRILLED TO KNOW YOU ENJOY MATT AND KIM THOUGH!!! ABSOLUTE REQUIRED LISTENING FOR ANYONE WHO WANTS TO KNOW ME. they were my FAVORITE band in high school and college, and I had several of their albums that I played in my car!! highly highly recommend Cameras and Silver Tiles by them (and also just the whole Sidewalks album!)
I’m crazy about my playlists and will absolutely never turn down the chance to share them so here are a few!
March March March March is what I was listening to in - you guessed it - March!
October feels different this year. is one of my favorite playlists from 2023. it has some overlap with my gender playlist and in general is just really close to my heart. (The Milk Carton by Madilyn Mei had been a HUGE obsession for me I LOVE that song)
if you want a wildly different vibe rat nao is my country music playlist (I Am Not Immune To Being A Southerner) (there’s also a little bitty bit of overlap with my October playlist!) (its not 100% country but its all songs that make my accent terribly thick)
a heart’s a heavy burden is my other pinned playlist on Spotify and it’s all of the songs (more or less, approximately) every song I’ve ever cried to
Quintessential Listening is my abridged music taste from my entire life and its a VERY LONG PLAYLIST that I don’t actually recommend unless you want a lot to choose from and/or have a deeper understanding of me as a person (I made this playlist for fun I admittedly dont listen to it much fjskfjdj) (fun fact nobody asked for but I love sharing: my 4th birthday party was themed after Somebody To Call My Lover by Janet Jackson) (ALSO the picture for this playlist is a collage of photos I myself have taken!)
you by no means have to listen to all of these I just wanted to give you choices. additionally, feel free to just go poke around my profile. all my playlists are public! i make a lot though and not all of them actually get listened to gjdkdkdk
i AM familiar with Fish in a Birdcage!!!! I love the song and also the band - my favorite song by them though is Rule #13 - Waterfall. my friend Kit is more into them than I am, I think, admittedly, but I still really enjoy them! if you like them, I’ll recommend the same songs I did for Kit (November by Sparkbird — The Room Is Filled With People That Love You by Foresight — So Alright, Cool, Whatever by The Happy Fits)
I’m not familiar with the other three songs, so I listened to them on my drive to work this morning. They were fun, I enjoyed listening to them!
Funnily enough, I’m going back to college this fall and I’ve had a hard time figuring out my feelings about it. my therapist told me to try making a playlist and I’ve been struggling to find songs that aptly convey how I feel. Sail Away is one of the first songs that’s clicked, so thank you!
I also listened to Great Time to be Human by Jagwar Twin (twice to make sure I absorbed it well) and it’s very fun!! it reminds me of Glass Animals (who I also really enjoy). actually rotated my friend’s ocs in my head a little bit to the chorus.
ALSO IF YOU WANT TO SEND ME A PLAYLIST, I WOULD LOVE THAT? no pressure to ofc but I love exchanges! I love sharing! I love learning about other people!
If you read all of this thank you for letting me ramble about music!!!!!!! I’m very intrinsically tied to my music taste and it makes me feel very seen to share it and for it to be enjoyed by others.
I hope you’re doing well and that you have a good day today!
#edited bc i left some stuff out#i was also at the concert that got turned into an album by RKS!!!#RKS! Live From Athens Georgia…. i was there……. such a good set list#I was also at their NYE concert for 2023#also been to several matt and kim concerts theyre so good#i love concerts i have more coming up too fjsjdjfj#music anon 🎶
