Aquaman 2 is like… Thor Ragnarok crossed with a Step Brothers/Rush Hour fusion spliced with the first Aquaman movie. Could’ve been worse but it could’ve been a lot better too. Solid 7/10. 6/10 on its worst day.

Phase 4 Is Almost Over And Contrary To My Initial Line Of Thought I Did End Up Watching All Of Them Somehow So Now You Get To Hear About It
I'll be talking about both the movies AND the series in order of release under the cut, the TL;DR for me is,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,I don't know why everyone cares so much about if it was Good or Bad.
That might seem dumb to say on a Rating Post but I'll get to it.
WandaVision (1/15/2021)-- 9/10
I think the MCU has definitely had it's bobbles handling Wanda (even in this show) but this one actually really hit home for me. The fall/winter leading up to this show, I was actually in a pretty deeply depressive episode-- hardly able to leave my bed outside of class or speak to anyone around me in person, so even though I wasn't exactly feeling grief like Wanda was, I found her emotional arc of wanting to be In Control And Happy to at least be relatable. I do think the Agatha twist could have been handled better as far as writing goes, but I think that's mostly a flaw of the MCU formula (which you'll hear a lot in this post). I also don't think the Evan Peters of it all was anything to get that mad about, and people who were and are STILL mad about it can Submit Their Complaints To My Ask Box.
Also the final Scarlet Witch costume slapped I loved it.
Tumblr media
The Falcon and The Winter Soldier (3/19/2021)-- 7.75/10
I can't really speak to the way everything in this show was handled, given that I am white as snow, but overall, there was a lot I really liked about this one. The writing and performance for Isaiah Bradley as acted by Carl Lumbly was so intense and probably my favorite part of the show overall. My main gripe is really the handling of the Flag Smashers and the need to have Walker saving people in the final fight. I think Walker was well past the point of getting the audience on his side For One Last Go by then, and the Flag Smashers were just...so, so horribly whacked out of line with their prior depiction by the end. It just wasn't congruent.
Tumblr media
Speaking of incongruent....
Loki Season 1 (6/9/2021)-- 6.5/10
I really wanted to enjoy Loki. Like I really did. But sitting on it for a year and a half and rewatching it, I think it was just TOO inconsistent episode to episode. There are individual MOMENTS and individual EPISODES even that I think are very good on the whole, but I think it's too obvious when different writers are taking on different characters (Mobius especially). It was a pleasant surprise to see Jonathan Majors, though, and I don't think I hated the finale as much as some other people did. I just think WandaVision did a good job deconstructing Wanda, and TFATWS did a good job deconstructing Sam's relationship to the Shield, but Loki just didn't really have a grasp on Loki as a character for me.
Tumblr media
Black Widow (7/9/2021)-- 7/10
This movie should have been in Phase 3. Also stan Florence Pugh. That's about it.
Also if you hate what they did with Taskmaster, that's fine but it's not that deep.
Tumblr media
What If...? (8/11/2021)-- 4.5/5
What If had some really good episodes, like Star-Lord T'Challa & Stark Saved By Kilmonger. But it also had The Zombies Episode and Captain Carter and Whatever The Fuck That Finale Was. It's more inconsistency and connecting it for the sake of connecting it and not really stopping to PLAY in the worlds they created, which was a shame, and then when they did it was,,,,,,,,,,REAL hit or miss. Mostly miss.
Tumblr media
Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings (9/3/2021)-- 8/10
Delicious finally some good fucking food. First, kissing Simu Liu on the mouth because he's SUCH a great leading man. Second, it felt JUST disconnected enough from the MCU while still having the canon references to feel fresh. It was still very much In-Tone with the MCU as far as humor went, but the actors really carried this to something special-- Simu, Michelle Yeoh, TONY LEUNG????? icon. Even places where the narrative was weaker were WELL compensated by the actors, enough to make me eager to see the next installment.
Tumblr media
Eternals (11/5/2021)-- 7/10
Do I think the cast was too large, in the end? Yes. But Eternals was still so...austere in a way the MCU normally is not. It was a very different kind of movie, formulaically. Sure, Big Gray Monster, but it was very much not front and center. Centering it on Sersi and taking advantage of Gemma Chan's Pure Power was great, and I loved how the dynamics between the characters drove the story.
Also, stan Phastos.
Tumblr media
Hawkeye (11/24/2021)-- 6/10
I would have probably enjoyed it more if Clint's character buildup wasn't so little and far apart in other MCU movies. It felt like I was SUPPOSED to be relating to this old friend's struggle with grief, but it just Did Not Hit.
I was mostly here for Vera Farmiga. Real Girlies Know.
Tumblr media
o i'm about to catch heat for this next one
Spider-Man: No Way Home (12/17/2021)-- 5/10
.......................No Way Home wasn't actually that good. I mean, it DOES go back and fix all my gripes with MCU Peter Parker and Zendaya sells as always and it was fun to see the old cast back. But uh. Into The Spiderverse did the multiverse thing to better effect, I think. The Audible Pause To Clap for Andrew Garfield's appearance,,,,we'll get to her later. Ultimately, I think Tom Holland is the weakest of the three Spider-Men of recent memory and it shows ESPECIALLY next to Andrew Garfield and without the background of having seen the other Spider-Man franchise incarnations, it's all that much weaker because you don't have the emotional context the film hinges on. It's fanservice for fanservice's sake. And we'll circle back to that. Also how dare you drag Matthew Catholic Sadboy Murdock into this.
Tumblr media
Moon Knight (3/30/2022)-- 6.5/10
I hope Oscar Isaac and May Calamawy have gotten excellent treatment for carrying this show on their backs. I don't think Harrow (had to Google the character's name ffs) was strong enough to get by on Malevolent Pacifism alone, and it did just kind of Unravel at the end with the Unnecessary Big Fight & the show kind of just Stopping rather than Ending. Also, did not think it was necessary to TEASE Jake Lockley if he was just going to be in the post-credit scene. I would have rather they not bring him up at all rather than having hints so MASSIVE.
Tumblr media
Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness (5/6/2022)-- 3/10
When I left the theater for this movie, I didn't actually think I could hate it more than I did when it was over. Then I watched the Assembled on it. And I realized no, the depths of my hatred DO go deeper. I don't know what's worse-- the struggle of having to choose between the Wanda of WandaVision and the Wanda of the Non-D+ Series MCU and somehow choosing neither, leaving GAPING-WIDE plot holes for the sake of "having the coolest villain in the MCU instead of leaving it for the team of another Avengers movie" (Michael Waldron my detested), whatever the fuck the Illuminati was supposed to be, or bringing back Sam Raimi, who I think genuinely tried to direct something visually his own and artful, only to have him bogged down by Marvel's own capitalistic editing and filming practices. The pauses to clap for the Illuminati. How presumptuous and prideful do you have to be to include space for the audience to clap for your cameos? And I haven't even TALKED about Stephen yet, because there's almost nothing to say except it is a SECOND movie where he is implied to have to face consequences for his choices, only for none to appear because the Wider Canon demands he be fine. It is EVERYTHING the MCU is at its worst.
Not you Bruce Campbell, though, you're doing great.
Tumblr media
Ms. Marvel (6/8/2022)-- 8/10
I think the reason Ms. Marvel ranks this well for me is not just the AMAZING attention to detail and authenticity of the creative team and Iman Vellani, but because Kamala Khan in the comics debuted when I myself was an insecure teenager writing fanfiction about my favorite superheroes and trying to survive school. I have a nostalgia for her character specifically that might bias me a little toward her show, but there was something so deeply authentic and warm about Iman's performance that I couldn't help being giddy to see her in every scene, despite the power changes and all the little things that would normally give me gripes.
Tumblr media
Thor: Love and Thunder (7/8/2022)-- 5/10
You know that thing you do where you have two foods you really love, like, individually. Like how I like caramel and i like crawfish, which are two things that are great on their own. And then you do that thing where you go "what if I put those two things I like together!" And suddenly you're eating caramel and crawfish together and you wish you hadn't done that?
That's Love & Thunder and that's pretty much the sum of my feelings on it, if I'm honest. Like, I'm a fan of Taika's work and I like the two threads he did here separately, but not together.
Tumblr media
She-Hulk: Attorney At Law (8/18/2022)-- 6.5/10
I could talk at length about this show and good-faith criticism and bad-faith criticism and how one can unintentionally legitimize the other, but I think to be succinct I can sum it up here by saying while I had fun, I think the show, despite the efforts of the female-centered & staffed writing room, fell into a lot of traps, like putting a lot of focus on Jen's dating life. To me that was the biggest mistake. Dating can be a very large part of people's lives, but in the show it did feel like the dating parts outweighed the legal parts, which was a shame because this show had SUCH a great cast of actors playing the other lawyers. Tatiana Maslany was great in the role, but I don't think the writing necessarily always held up to the acting, nor did the lampshading of it at the end in that VERY APPROPRIATE AND KIND OF FUN fourth wall break make up for including it in the first place.
Also Augustus Pugliese you have my heart new favorite side character unlocked.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Werewolf By Night (10/14/2022)-- 10/10
Tumblr media
Jack Russell you are my new best friend I love spooky things I love that it was self contained I love EVERYTHING ABOUT THIS. No notes. Well done. Blade next.
In Conclusion-- 6.23/10
I think, at this point, I don't really care if MCU Secretly Bad or MCU Actually Good. I think if anything, this phase points to the overall problem for Marvel being that, for the most part, they're feeding us the same thing over and over again. To me, the projects that stuck out the most here were the ones that tried something different. WandaVision experimented with TV tropes. Werewolf By Night was a Hammer horror special.
The ones that scored lowest, however, were either full of shiny but empty distractions or just more of the same.
It's not better than before. It's not worse. You're just too used to eating the same thing.
Order from a different menu.

Went and saw Black Panther 2 and since I’m on mobile I won’t spoil anything, but I will say holy shit I think it’s probably my 3rd favorite MCU film (behind Endgame and SM: Homecoming), maybe even my 2nd. Let me do my best to explain why, again without spoilers.
First, I’ll say I’m INCREDIBLY FUCKING BIASED because HOLY SHIT was Namor unbelievably hot and flying around in his fucking underwear the entire movie. Honestly, that’s worthy of a 10/10 then and there. Never in a billion years would I have guessed you could turned this disgusting guzzlord of a fish man:
Tumblr media
Into this unbelievably attractive Aztec god:
Tumblr media
So yeah maybe I’m a little biased here. BUT beyond him, the movie was actually REALLY good. These aren’t spoilers since they will be obvious if you know anything at all going into this movie, but there are two major themes throughout the movie and those are dealing with the lost of loved ones, and how to handle faith when mixed with science (albeit that second theme is considerably less important than the first one).
I thought the movie handled Chadwick Boseman’s death very respectfully (except for maybe possibly the end credits scene which TBH felt a bit awkward to me but WHATEVER I won’t spoil it). My biggest concern going in was that they were going to basically say: “Oh yeah, he died off-screen. Anyways, let’s carry on in life.” They thankfully didn’t do that, and his death is felt throughout the entire movie. It’s brought up constantly as each character is made to deal with their grief over his loss, and there was this actually genuinely touching scene near the end which again I will not spoil, you’ll know it when you see it (I would’ve cried if I wasn’t seeing it w/ a friend lol).
I think the only negative thing I can say about the movie is that it’s a touch too long. It’s 2 hours and 41 minutes, and there’s definitely a decently-sized chunk of the film that could’ve been cut that was obviously left in as setup for future stuff. I think cutting it would’ve save the film at least 10-15 minutes which isn’t a ton, but still better than nothing. There’s also a character introduced in the movie that I can’t fairly judge since we haven’t seen enough of them, so I won’t, even though I have negative preconceptions about them from the comics (if you know, you know), but I genuinely think they should’ve been left out of the movie too. They simultaneously play a very important role, and no role at all in the movie. They’re basically the ‘catalyst’ character, and then that’s it. I actually think they did the character a disservice by being in the movie, since a lot of people aren’t going to know who they are, and are going to develop misconceptions about them purely from this introduction. I know that’s incredibly vague, but again, if you know, you know.
Anyways, I want to say 8/10 (that’s a lie, I want to say 10/10 for the insanely hot man, but I’m trying to be reasonable here). Easily better than the first movie though, which might be a hot take since (for some ungodly reason) a lot of people actually really liked Kilmonger as a villain which I absolutely did not. Namor serves as a vastly better villain who I personally think accomplishes what Kilmonger was going for, but does it better.

A message from Reverend Candyman
Tumblr media
Before I even entered the theater, I was mad. I was mad due to certain people on social media stating that this film is "too woke", "super-woke", "BLM propaganda", etc, etc.
I'm not saying that they're right or wrong, at this point, but how did those people not know what they were getting into? Did they not watch any "Candyman" films before this? Do they not know of Jordan Peele's previous film productions? Have they never seen any of Key & Peele? It's mostly race stuff!
Some of them were probably only hate-watching. There a re a handful of pundits I like to hate-watch. Sometimes, getting heated by their takes fuels my work days. But, I know what I’m doing to myself... *smh* but these people.
I didn't stay mad for long though, because Nia DaCosta, the director of "Candyman", is on point! This whole movie, strictly from a cinematic view, is very cool. How bout that?? "The Rambling Praphit says Candyman is VERY COOL." :) She'll be working on the next Capt Marvel movie.
Tumblr media
Most people did not like that movie (I'm excluded from that crowd). Marvel is so scared of the public's dislike of that movie, that they're not even calling it "Capt Marvel 2". It's just called "The Marvels"; leaving the first movie's "captain" as far away from the title as they could. I bring this up, cuz after watching "Candyman", I have high hopes for "The Marvels".
In the trailer we see some shadow puppet type action going on to tell Candyman's story.
Tumblr media
So, if you haven't seen the 1992 film, you can get mostly caught up. A creative way to knock out exposition.
They still didn't get into why Candyman rocks a pimpish coat. Or why he's called "Candyman". I mean... they address the name, kinda... (Razor blades in candy - also seen in the trailer) but there's a bit of a hole in the timeline of that story. Plus, how would Candyman (a vengeful spirit) even have the time or patience required to put razor blades in hard candy? If he were an actual pimp named "Candyman", it would make more sense... but anyway...
The main character (Anthony, played by Yahya Adbul Mateen II)
Tumblr media
needed more of Candyman's story , so he went into the depths to find more horror, and he found it. Now, there's a white woman, who's the main character in the 1992 version, who does the same thing, and... let's just say things end poorly for her, and Anthony is foolishly following in her footsteps.
He's a broke visual artist, but thankfully he's got himself a suga mama (played by Teyonah Parris) ,
Tumblr media
a not-so-broke art gallery director named Brianna. Lesson number one, you broke artists - gym membership.
Tumblr media
Follow the path of Yahya. He’s the only hard candy mama needs! Keep that suga mama money coming to fuel your art.
I appreciate this couple though - a lot of times (in movies) we see black couples where the woman is struggling to feed the kids with like 3 or 4 jobs, while the man juggles cheating on her, being involved with drugs, and dreaming of one day being the greatest rapper there ever was. We've been there and done that with black movie couples enough.
But, Candyman can't allow this couple to be too happy, so the killing begins!
Say his name 5 times! He dares you! After the fifth time, he appears to brutally kill you. What kind of game is that? I could see if it was a 50/50 chance - win some money or die, but straight up 100% death? Who would play such a game??
"Let's go to the top of a snowy, slippery mountain. Let's slide down it with crazy speed and immovable objects in our way." Who’s game?
Tumblr media
(white people)
"Let's take a detour through the woods, at night, right pass the area where those teenagers were murdered, LAST NIGHT... I don't think they ever caught the perp. Oh, well... let's go!" Who’s going?
Tumblr media
(white people)
So, who will play the candyman name game? - white people, of course :)
I heard someone say that Candyman is only killing white people. That’s not true #1, but #2 - they’re the ones mostly playing this game.
No, this isn't just some movie about a black, pimpish, man with a hook, killing white people. We've got story as well.
Three parts to this story, actually:
The look -
Which I mentioned is great! The gruesome horror elements and the killings are well done. In fact, the kill scenes are so good that I wanted to see more of it. A lot of the kills effectiveness come from NOT showing you the gore. There's plenty gore as well, but the balance of times when you have to imagine what's happening as people scream is also dope.
The horror part to the film is kinda slowed down though by the social commentary. part to the film: The 1992 film has this as well, but it's more subtle, and flows with the story better. This... well, I can see why some hyper-sensitive conservatives might cry "wokeism!" I disagree with their sentiment, but I get it. If this movie had come out before 2020, perhaps the feeling would be different. There's a scene that's directly addressing gentrification. It's a group of four people (three black people and a white dude) talking. The movie shows how the seemingly enlightened and likable white dude was involved in the convo, but still didn't really get it. Perhaps that's how they see a lot of their audience with this, cuz there's no subtlety going on here at all. It's more of an "F U" at times. It's effective hate-watching though.
Lastly there's the psychological part to the movie. Something has clearly gone wrong inside of Anthony, and no one seems to be taking it all that seriously.
Tumblr media
Something is also wrong outside of Anthony as well.... as seen in the trailer, he gets stung by a bee. One of those Candyman Bees! (Not a thing, but it should be) It's... maybe... infected (they never really explain), and gets worse and worse. Why doesn't anyone demand that he go to the doctor?! Not even his suga mama says anything! You know damn well, that no matter how sexy one may be, if you've got some sort of creepy Candyman infection, that's gonna mess up that sexy-suga-money flow, y'all feel me?? And if there is some sort of ghostly infection, shouldn't we be more scared of the bees than even Candyman? He only appears when you say his name! The bees on the other hand...
I guess it's kinda real though - I could certainly see people these days getting "the candyman infection" I speak of, and saying proudly "It's not real! And I will NOT be treated!" while waving a flag, with their clearly infected hand.
These three parts collide, sloppily. It's funny, cuz the film, as I said, is heavy-handed with hot topics, but the story (particular in the third act) will confuse you. I mean, I get it, cuz I saw the original film, but had I not... ??? There's a scene when Candyman is summoned and he proceeds to kill a bunch of cops. THEY didn't even summon him! They said “Defund the Police” not kill’em!  Idk if Candyman had been listening to nothing but Louis Farrakhan and Marvel’s Kilmonger nonstop during 2020, and it's all spilling over or what?? Some people are overachievers. Then he says "Spread my message" What message is that?!
Imagine if you say my name 5 times, and I appear in your kitchen, drink all of your beer, walking into your living room, and pee in the corner... then I say to you, before disappearing "Spread my Message".
You'd be like "What the hell?"
Despite this movies' flaws, I still enjoyed it. The social commentary really is important to the times we're living in, and should still be discussed, and not just discussed, by acted on. Plus, I truly am impressed by director Nia DaCosta. I do recommend that you see it, but you should probably watch the 1992 one first. Or who knows what message you'll leave with :)
Grade: generous B-
I doubt that there'll be a sequel, but if there is one, i really do hope that we can finally get to the bottom of this name thing. With Candyman, I'm still thinking drug dealer. It's not that scary of a name. Maybe CandyHOOK! Hooks wielded by maniacs are always scary.
No? Yeah, it does make me think his hook is made out of candy.
With the bees involved, perhaps "Bee Guy", or "Bee King", but... they're not really his thing. Plus, that's lame, and kinda sounds like he's buddies with Ant-Man. That could hurt his street cred. The 1992 film gets into a honey type of scenario as to the etymology. But, then, it should be "Honey Man", right? - that sounds kinda like a gigolo though. But, perhaps this is a good thing! That gives me an idea that could add some surprise to this whole name game thang! Call his name 5 times and either receive drugs, murder, a confusing sermon, or sweet, sweet lovin. Now, that's a game!

OK. sorry for not replying sooner. I did not see it. I disagree.
She did know that they were Hydra.
From marvels official website
Tumblr media
Wanda didn't create the Hex on purpose. You have to remember the context behind Wanda creating the Hex.
I never said she did
My point was that
she did that bad thing
When she realized it stopped it
Until she realized it would hurt her fake family
Proceed to listen to the parents beg for her to let the children out of their rooms just to feed them
Said nothing
Agatha literally points out that she was torchering them
Then, she went back to doing it
Finally stopped
THEN MONICA SAID AND I QUOTE "They’ll never know what you sacrificed for them."
THEN WANDA SAID "I’m sorry. For all the pain I caused" "I know"
The writing in this show is so stupid because Monica had it so good compared to what everyone else had to go through . Sure, getting thrown through a brick wall hurts. But she literally starved children and people. And didn’t help or say sorry to them.
Also, Wanda leaving Westview WAS her way of apologizing.
I don't know what to say to this.
It's not an apology at all. She is running away from the consequences of her actions and Monica let her.
I blame that on Michael Waldron being a crappy writer.
Valid
She is a wanted fugitive because Tony Stark made a unilateral decision behind the active Avengers' backs without consulting Steve and Sam.
This can get really political really fast but...
I dont have a team cause in my mind it's a difficult decision to make because of the countries that did not sign. And what was don't know of the accords
There would be 2 main reasons a country would not sign
They are hiding something from the rest of the world
They value there privacy. For religious or cultural reasons
And this brings up the question do human lives mean more than possible war
And what I mean by that is if the Avengers go to a place that did not sign. And it turns out they did not need saving (or the government says that they did not need saving). Could there be a possibility of war, in which case the US (and maybe whoever else signed) would go to war with whatever country that declared it. And then multiple more people will die.
We also don't know what the agreement it for people who did sign. There are 3 ways this can go.
The Avengers can come in their country and "save it" whenever.
The Avengers have to wait and get it approved to go into the country.
Or a mixture of both.
The Illuminati did deserve to die. I mean, these guys murdered their 838 Stephen in cold blood. I mean, this clip is literally a case of "a group of villains justifying their crimes to a variant of the person they murdered"
I do not believe in the death penalty at all.
No, that's not what I'm saying. What I'm saying is that the framing is off.
That was exactly what this post was saying.
They compared her to other villans
Ego
Thanos
Kilmonger
Red skull
Hela
Waldron is clearly trying to frame a bunch of villains as the "good guys", something he also did with the TVA in Loki.
Valid, I was just saying no one should die because of what they have done.
Any way moral is MOM sucks from literally everyone who watched it.
Also it has been fun debating with you again
Why do people exaggerate Wanda's villainy?
I mean, sure, things like this were bad for Wanda to do...
youtube
...but whenever people view her as an irredeemable bad guy for doing this* (or laying waste to Kamar-Taj, or even just the events in Westview), I scratch my head. 🤔🤨 Because 1) the following villains are far more despicable:
Ego the Living Planet: A billion year old god who casually murders millions of his own children for failing to further his goal of consuming the entire universe. He also puts a tumor in one of his lovers' heads because he loves her too much and she is making him lose sight of his aforementioned goal.
General Dreykov: A man who kidnapps hundreds of little girls and turns them into sterile assassins purely for power and money.
Thanos: A serial killer who tortures his own children, makes them fight each other to the point of inflicting grievous injuries (look at how cyberized Nebula is), goes around from planet to planet committing genocide, and kills half the universe. When an alternate version of him finds out his work is being undone, this version doubles down and decides to just kill the entire universe because the remaining half weren't grateful.
Kilgrave: A textbook sociopath with mind control powers that he uses to repeatedly rape women and make them murder others for petty reasons.
Hela: The goddess of death, who enjoys indiscriminate murder and wants to conquer the entire universe
Dormammu: An entity that enslaves entire dimensions at a time and completely strips everyone in them of free will
Red Skull: A Nazi megalomaniac who wanted to launch nukes to wipe out dozens of cities and reign over the ashes.
...and 2) there are many "heroes" who've done far worse things than Wanda. Just examples:
Tony Stark: Carelessly creates a Skynet 2.0 that nearly wipes out humankind (and actually succeeded in an episode of What If?) and gets Wanda's home country wiped off the map. He then goes on to support a piece of legislation that discriminates against enhanced individuals for the sin of just existing. And he goes on to create Project Insight 2.0 and leave it in the hands of a teenager. He never faced consequences for any of these things.
Clint Barton: Spends five years as a serial killer, murdering hundreds of people without any sort of due process other than him deeming them "bad". He even takes tips from other criminals like Wilson Fisk on who to kill. It gets to the point that Rhodey actually thinks Clint's a lost cause.
(*Wanda killing the Illuminati was actually a heroic deed, when you think about it. 😂😂 These Illuminati guys are stuck up pricks, who murdered their version of Stephen Strange rather than help him. And honestly, they showed terrible teamwork in trying to take Wanda on, which is probably the sort of thing that caused 838 Stephen to try using the Darkhold to defeat Thanos. Then there's the to-be-taken-with-a-grain-of-salt remarks by the writer that Earth 838 is a police state that the Illuminati run like dictators. And of course, she killed Captain Brexit, which gets her lots more hero points. 😂😂)

If you had to rewrite the Marvel Universe how would you rewrite it?
I mean, hell. That's quite the thing to consider.
I would undo Frigga's death for sure, because I hate it and she was awesome and fuck the manpain nonsense. Same for Gamora and Natasha.
I would erase and redo every Tony thing post Iron Man 3, because from AoU on, they seemed determined to wipe out every last shred of positive character development. I would also have him and Wanda actually interact, because good God was that a wasted opportunity.
I would make it so Vision had more screentime before his death, particularly as it pertains to his relationship with Wanda. It's much more fleshed out in Wandavision, but before that, it always felt a little rushed.
Don't kill Kilmonger. Like, it was such a waste to kill Kilmonger. Especially now that we're dealing with the awful reality of Chadwick being gone. But even assuming we lived in the good timeline and he was still here, they shut off so many interesting story possibilities by killing him off.
Give Rebecca Hall the role she was supposed to have in IM 3 because oh my God does this franchise love wasting female talent.
Betty Ross. She's a person who exists. It shouldn't take 10+ years to remember that.
I know this is a rights thing more than a creative choice, but in a world without red tape? Give Hulk another solo film. There's like, there's a lot of backstory with him that would be so interesting if done well. And on a purely personal note? Make it so Norton never left. I'm in the minority, I know, but I much prefer his take.
Let Peter Parker star in his own films.
Bring the Netflix shows into the MCU.
I'd honestly make a Disney+ show that was just, everything that happened in the 5 year gap. Doesn't even have to involve the big guns, the ones who are already done with contracts. What was it like for everyone else, people we know and people we don't? Did Cassie Lang lose all three of her parents in one go? Who was ruling Wakanda with the king, princess, and Kilmonger all dead? They were gonna do outreach anyway. How much of that was continued after the Snap? Did they double down on their efforts to help the world, or were they thrown into so much of their own chaos that those things were put on hold? I'd do a show like that, that fills in the gaps of B and below level characters, maybe introduces us to new ones.
Make the dumping of Hydra's secrets in Cap 2 and the Accords in Cap 3 actually matter.
Give me a show about Maria Rambeau founding SWORD. Preferably one where she doesn't die a lame offscreen death.
That Black Widow movie? Give us that back in 2013.
Bring Sharon Carter and Hope Van Dyne in on the airport fight in CW. In general, don't ignore Sharon for years on end
So yeah, nothing terribly original here, I'm aware, but that's off the top of my head. I'm sure I could write a whole dissertation on the subject, given enough time.

Not to throw shade for people for this but Sam Bucky kinda joins my list of things that would be way more popular as a ship if both characters were white. Like dont get me wrong it is popular but it doesn't get the feral popularity that say Steve Bucky got. Now granted Steve Bucky had multiple movies over several years where the fandom was i think more obsessive than it is now. But you can think if several ships that did get stupid popular after the characters involved only had 1 movie together
And like i said its not like Sam Bucky not popular but its not to the degree you expect from dynamics like this imo.
I had a similar experience with Black Panther where they all had really good characterization and the movie was really popular and many characters ( Kilmonger especially) had the kinda personality you expected to get stupid popular in fandom but he never did.
On the one hand it nice the lack of feral passion means less drama less ship wars less discourse. But it also less passion seen in fandom less content involving Sam and its kinda a shame.
Not a single lie has been detected.
Sam in general gets the short end of the stick in fandom ships, which is weird because for every other Cap character, the back catalogue of every comic is pulled. Sam though? Barely a dent made.
(Though to say certain shippers haven’t been on the attack would be disingenuous. We’ve had one come through trying to start something a while back. Hope they’re doing well, the whole last episode was filled with SamBucky moments.)
I think we’re past the point where someone having dozens of white man/white man ships means they’re above criticism for the racism (and misogyny) of how they approach fandom. Not saying you have to ship certain ships, but that it’s clear that your views on characters has obvious connotations.

BLACK PANTHER
Rest in peace Chadwick Boseman 1976-2020
I am definitely not the biggest Marvel fan but Black Panther was one movie that I really wanted to see. It obviously was a hugely successful film and was very popular, but the thing that made me want to watch it the most was the soundtrack. The soundtrack of the movie is absolutely amazing and featured so many great artists, I knew that if the soundtrack was this good, the movie had to be good too, and that, it was! As I said before I’m not the biggest Marvel fan, not because I don't enjoy the movies, there are just too many to catch up on. Maybe one day I’ll make that huge commitment.
This movie is so visually satisfying, and has a great story to it. The cast is absolutely incredible and really brings the story to life. The story follows T’Challa (Chadwick Boseman), who after the death of his father, returns home to Wakanda to inherit the throne, however he runs into an enemy who threatens his family and nation. I love the storyline and setting of Black Panther, from the start, showing the back story of Erik Kilmonger’s (Michael B Jordan) father and T’Challa’s father, explaining why Erik is back for revenge, to the fictional African kingdom of Wakanda, a truly magical place. This movie is not only visually stunning but it is also packed to the brim with action, as well as a juicy revenge plot. It is a great film for the whole family, kids will love it but as an adult you can fully appreciate it. I would recommend it to anyone.
Tumblr media
What I really enjoyed about the film is that it is a predominantly black cast with amazing actors and actresses bringing the story to life. It is such an amazing film for young black kids to see and find a hero in many of the characters. Black Panther was also directed by an African American man (Ryan Coogler) who used his life experiences to direct the film that was so important to him. Jamil Smith from Time writes that “It’s themes challenge institutional bias, it’s characters take unsubtle digs at oppressors, and it’s narrative includes prismatic perspective on black life and tradition”. For more insight on the power of the film go to https://time.com/black-panther/.
Something that was very important in the  film was how they depicted women as incredibly strong. All the women cast were powerful in their own way and helped King T’Challa through his battles. The warrior women like Nakia and Okoye and the rest of Dora Miljaje are great to watch, as this is not common large number of movies. Shuri, T’Challa’s sister has to be my favourite character of the whole movie. She is the chief science officer for Wakanda, a role that I think normally would go to a male. Although she is also the princess of Wakanda, she cares much more for her role as chief science officer. She is so smart and constantly upgrading the technology that helps T’Challa with his battles. She is the one to create T’Challa’s suit that absorbs kinetic energy as well as many other things. I can only imagine how awesome seeing her on screen is for young girls who are interested in science and technology.
FUN FACTS
- The director Ryan Coogler first became familiar with the Black Panther comics when he was 9 years old, he bought it from his local comic book store in Oakland and asked to see the superhero that looked like him
- Chadwick Boseman was the first and only person considered to play King T’Challa
- The aerial shots of Wakanda were filmed in South Africa, Zambia, Uganda and Argentina
- The director put importance on inclusivity and visibility on and off-screen, he made sure a lot of the key department heads were either African American, women, or both
- Lupita Nyong’o who plays Nakia bought 600 tickets of Black Panther for kids in her hometown of Kisuma, Kenya

Ocean au(New Arc: Enter Wakanda)
N/A: I´m in love with this au. I confess. So here more arcs to explore this new au.
@djinmer4 @dannybagpipesarecalling @bamfoftheundead
The Amazon is one of the first leaders of JLX and is seen in a positive light by everyone and while some may envy the prestige it comes from her name, they also acknowledge (even if begrudgingly ) that it comes with a heavy burden as well, even more, because of The Amazon is also quoted to be the next Queen of Wakanda and that is something she´s not sure she truly wants.
As the woman is alone on her ship(not invisible, per se, but Ororo likes to joke and make memes about it) when someone else enters in the cock-pilot at Ororo´s request. "Man...this is really bigger on the inside" Columbina has a dumbfound expression on her face.
"Columbina...I want to ask if you´re alright, after the whole ordeal, I know some of our members aren´t very keen to your response of friendship and fuck the rules" Ororo replies with an arch one eyebrow in slight amusement.
Kitty bites her lips for a moment. "I get it, really, I´m a thief, I wasn´t expecting someone like Kokoro to invite me to tea nor I thought Spider-Boy would start a fan club for me, I get it, really and I´m fine with my profession" Columbina states calmly while trying to not fangirl too hard she´s on the invisible ship and ruined as she asked if she could show this to Lorna and Ororosays it can be arranged later.
"I...want to thank you, yes, Dark Claw thank you by not arresting you, but, if you had interfered the cursed diamond would still be a thing and who knows what it could happen?" she then continues "I want to ask something, why are you a thief?"
"Uhm..." Columbina stops for a moment and replies "is a job I´m really good and I love it"
"....You may not believe but...I used to be one as well" and Ororo has to chuckle at Columbina´s expression and carry on "Look, JLX let their impression about you be as diverse as possible, however, I want to ask something, extra-confidential, what do you know about Wakanda?"
"Is an empire and recently signed a deal with Ruritania to share technology...is that what you are wanting to hear?"
"Columbina, can I hire you to do a job for me?"
________________________________________________________________________
Dark Claw is talking with Sparrow as she´s still talking about the heist and Columbina and yes, Dark Claw can see where Sparrow is coming but Columbina is still a thief, but then again, his daughter in law was one too.
The other members of the team, minus The Amazon (she was excused as Wakanda called her for an emergency) are discussing the events Columbina did help to solve.
Kokoro and Spider-Boy along with Angel have some reservation in regards Columbina. "Sure, she helps now...who can say she won´t steal from us or do worse to us?" is a good point.
Meggan, Wanda, Jubilee, Felicia and Dark Claw have a counter-argument. "We thought Hawk-girl wouldn´t betray us and she did and she was a heroic as one can imagine but betray us to Kantique easily." and is a low blow to Angel whose affiliation to Hawk-girl still makes him a bit suspicious(well, Nightcreeper dislike him for others reasons than his evil sister)
Todd LeBlau, Brian and Dr StrangeFate as well Super Solider are neutral. Nightcreeper is neutral as well and Runaway is slowly warming to the idea but with caution. "So" she begins "it would be like she was our Rogue?" and for some reason, only Nightcreeper laugh at that, thankfully, it was a normal laugh.
Cyclops and Jean are not present as the couple is in paternal leave since Rachel Grey Summers is about to born this week. Dark Claw takes the word and gives the final decision.
"Yes, both arguments have merit, but, consider this: we can add Columbina to the group and let this be another Hawk-girl scenario or we can ignore Columbina and potentially lose a great asset, my solution, wait and see, so far the only talk about Columbina joining the team comes from 3 sources, but, none from Columbina herself"
________________________________________________________________________
Ororo and Kitty are a quite a pair, one is too modelesque and the other is petite, however, both can bench any perv without a second thought or a sweat. Ororo is leading Kitty to the embassy of Wakanda in New Gotham as Dora Milaje were guarding the door and with a nod from Ororo, they let both women pass without any problem.
The interior of the building those gives a feeling of Wakanda with the mix of yellow and orange and even through Kitty never set a foot on Wakanda, she can admit, at least privately, how this building really seems to transport you to the real Wakanda.
A Dora Milaje, who judge by the upgrades on her uniform, appears to be the leader of the group is speaking with Ororo. "The king is waiting for you, right now, he´s on the fourth floor...watching Naruto" and she chuckles as both ladies are exchanging private jokes among them.
Wait, the fourth floor? But this building only has 3 floors.
Entering the elevator confirms to Kitty that this building has 3 floors, however, Ororo press a red button and the elevator lifts to the aforementioned fourth floor.
_________________________________________________________________________
King T´challa was indeed watching Naruto and quickly turn the TV off when Ororo and Kitty arrives. T´challa now uses a more regal posture to speak to Ororo. Is a really kingly tone, yet, the fact he´s wearing a Naruto´s T-shirt sort makes the tone lose the strength.
"I´d not want to stop your Naruto Marathon nor your fanfiction time, however, I´m here because I have a solution for the ruby problem" and Ororo points with her eyes to Columbina and T´challa got a general idea.
"Your highness," Kitty said hoping she greet him right, thankfully, T´challa seems to be in a casual mood and does mind a more simple conversation. They exchange hand, of course, this meeting does not exist by any official sense...so maybe that´s why they are talking in such casual tone.
"Columbina, what do you know about Wakanda?" T´Challa asked and Kitty replies how she knows not much(the same answer given to Ororo is used and is clear she knows much)
"Someone stole technology from our laboratories, a weapon that could be used to destroy anything...and you must see how this is a delicate situation, because, who stole this piece of technology was Kilmonger and his followers. They stole many things from Wakanda" the King is not very happy in delivering this news to Columbina.
"And is proud that prevent you to seek help from JLX?"
"No, is because if we ask to get the ruby back...many will ask details as to how it comes down here, what it does and it would prove that Wakanda is not that safe and many people could see this as an opportunity to steal again" T´Challa concludes.
"Columbina, you´re not associated with the JLX and not with any government, if you were to steal a mere ruby from the museum..."
Columbina ponders for a moment. "I´ll need time to do the heist, and know every the details of this ruby and who stole it...because this can really be a trap and I want to avoid any traps if possible"
_________________________________________________________________________
Gwen is looking for Peter Ross and that alone makes his heart soar in joy and for once, no Kitty Pryde, maybe he can steal Gwen away from Kitty once and for all. "Gwen, are you looking for me?" and Peter notices how her face is a bit worried as she nods.
Peter takes her to a more reserved place of his studio, they´re wrapping for the day and offers her a coffee. After taking a sip, the woman begins. "Peter...Is Ryder a perv?" she asked and Peter is utterly confused but she continues. "Kitty is moving out to where Kurt lives, you know, the Plaza, and...I heard used to have a perv there who show his anatomy to people and...well, uhm..." she trails off and Peter Ross is doing something he never thought in doing.
"Look, Ryder is arrogant and a womanizer" pot meet kettle is a phrase running through his mind. "But, he´s not a perv and certainly won´t show his, uhm, anatomy to Kitty unless she really wanted to see that, so, no, he wouldn´t bother with her...in fact, I used to live there and Ryder never noticed, trust me, Gwen...Ryder won´t do anything here"
Gwen seems more relief and nods. "Thanks, she´s my only friend here and I don´t want anything bad to happen to her" and Peter Ross offers a nice smile to Gwen who retributions.
Meanwhile, Kurt Ryder sneezes as he feels someone is talking about him.

How did Marvel fuck up IW? That movie was gold and highly entertaining, had me on the edge of my seat the entire time... The ending wasn't pleasant off course, but honestly, it was brilliant cinema!
1. 90% of the movie was ruined by Loki’s death scene in the very beginning. I have talked multiple times about how stupid and full of plot holes that scene was, anyway, not to mention how pointless Loki’s death was in general. I’d link, but it’s 1am and I’m lazy, so you can take my word for it.
2. Speaking of Loki’s death, though, the Russos have gone back and forth on the reason for Loki’s death - first they say it’s sacrifice for Thor, then they say it’s his punishment for disobedience, then they say it’s the conclusion of his arc, to accept himself as Thor’s brother before he dies a hero, etc. They can’t seem to figure out why Loki really died, except that they didn’t know what to do with him and killing him is convenient.
3. Thanos’s motivation is stupid as fuck. For one thing, wiping out half of the population isn’t the logical solution to the problem. He could have used the Infinity Gauntlet to create more resources, or go back in time to before Titan died, or done any number of things that didn’t involve murdering half of the universe. He came to that particular solution because he likes murder and death and torment and torture (just look at what he did to Gamora and Nebula, whom he claimed as his children). The narrative ignores this and tries to paint Thanos as this sympathetic villain who “maybe has a point,” which is not only illogical but also kind of gross. Not to mention, the Russos said that the Snap got rid of half of the plants and animals, as well as people, anyway - meaning there is now exactly the same proportion of people to resources and Thanos accomplished absolutely nothing.
4. The movie is full of plot holes. Just to name a few: in Thor Ragnarok, Dr. Strange says he keeps a “watch list” of potential threats to Earth; in IW, he has no idea who Thanos is. Thanos tells Gamora that, by killing half of her planet, the remaining half of her people are now thriving, but the first GotG told us that Gamora was the last remaining member of her race. Where was the Hulk when Asgard was being slaughtered, and where did Loki disappear to for five whole minutes before he reappeared and died?
5. The narrative implies that Thanos truly loves Gamora, and that he was right to sacrifice her because it allowed him to get the Soul Stone and continue on his mission. Gamora says, “This isn’t love,” but the fact that Thanos does get the stone after killing her is the narrative saying that yes, this is love, the only way Thanos knows how but love, nonetheless. Which is ... really not okay, but other people have gone into much better meta and analysis on this than I can at the moment.
6. The entire Wanda and Vision relationship was poorly developed and dragged out far too long. In a movie about all of the superheroes coming together and the culmination of all of the characters at their disposal, they chose to focus a good portion of the plot on a couple that was, I’m sorry, boring. I didn’t care if Vision died because their relationship wasn’t fleshed out or built up at all. We’re just supposed to accept it as true love and feel bad for them.
7. The ending would have had much more impact if they weren’t so obviously going to bring back all of those characters, anyway. Like, they are literally filming Spiderman 2 right now - of course Peter Parker will be back. Of course Dr. Strange, T’Challa, Bucky, etc, will be back. They made such a big deal about the “stakes being so high” in this movie, but all the stakes led us to was a gratuitously tragic ending that everyone knows will be undone, anyway, so the only deaths that will stick will be Loki’s, Gamora’s, and Vision’s - aka, the only characters not killed by the Snap, and two out of three of those characters were killed by their abusers and somehow that’s okay.
8. I will grant you, the cinematography was good and the music was nice. Also, there were some funny parts, mostly thanks to the Guardians still being in character because James Gunn was able to have a hand in portraying them.
But, yeah. Marvel fucked it up. The last ten years of movies could have culminated in the most epic of epic villains, if the Russos hadn’t gotten sidetracked by wanting to replicate Loki’s popularity (and Kilmonger’s, later) by making Thanos sympathetic, if they hadn’t ditched the “courting Death” motivation, if they hadn’t gotten rid of Joss Whedon, if they hadn’t tried to literally replicate Steve’s plotline with Thor (Steve lost everything and that worked out okay, so let’s have Thor lose everything, too!), or if they had hired some writers who knew what the fuck they were doing. Marvel fucked up Infinity War, and this is the hill I’ll die on, I’m not changing my mind.

I think this has been one of my favorite seasons because it finally proven a few of my theories.
A). Most of the time there may only be one black woman in the game but most times out of not you should respect her.
- What if Paulie had listened to Z about who his real enemies were instead of throwing her over and disrespecting her?
- Where would Paul be that first season if he'd had Day?
- There was no redeeming Paul in season 2, Cody actually liked the black woman he disrespected so much. The only one that showed her some respect in the end was the one who won the game.
- Where would Dem have been without an Ika Wong?
- What would've happened if Tyler had taken different steps with Bay?
B). For me most times out of not BB is like a game of Chess. Mental warfare, human pieces that you have to decide how to move, sometimes forming sides which have rules.
Earlier this season I docked Tyler the King of his side and Bay the Queen of hers and claimed the game would be between those two in a post where I revision the whole game and it's player as a chess game.
I claimed that Bays weakness and downfall would be in the thinking she could cross to the other side willfully. It was actually her power itself. Tyler suffers from paranoia of grandeur. The moment he was told she had a power and she was targeting him there was no getting off that boat. He was already paranoid before that - it didn't matter that her gears had switched. I'm not a history major but I think the only time enemies cojoin is when there's an even bigger enemy for the both of them.
I always said Bay would be Tyler's downfall. I said he should get her out before Jury. She has vocal influence and if you ain't gonna make the effort to instill that voice into what you need it to say then you need to silence it. During the round table Bay was murdering everything Angela had to say for Tyler - quick and without mercy. And then turned around and put up a better, more solid arguement for the man herself. She did all this because she could. Because she had the power to play cat and mouse with his game. That's a Queen move/stance because it's basically a message that says I could play any role - I could've been the greatest allie but you chose me to be your enemy. Her disrespect at Angela's feet - the saverage in her delivery was reminiscent of of Erik Kilmonger's "This is your King?" It was her way of saying "This is your Queen? This is who you think can move us into voting for you? Well let's not only nip that in the bud but let me show you what real work looks like."
Imagine if he'd had her voice actually on his side - he would've had the game locked. She did in one moment what Angela couldn't through several tries.
Some people toke Sam for tanking Tyler - disagree. Just like Hay she's always been know as the wild card. You never should depend on such a card following what you want in then end. Hay and Sam cancelled one another out. Anyone who put thought into it would know to expect them to go opposite of their team in the vote. For some reason Tyler didn't think that far. He stood up and named all his pawns and their roles - he told the truth but to think he would have her vote is humorous. Bay was the important player. If he had her he def would have had some of her people's votes. Problem is like many, he couldn't follow the first theory correctly.
Why did Ika Wong vote for Kevin even though they had beef a lot of times in house and her good friend sat beside him on F2? Well for one when she told him - don't make this about broken promises, say what it's really about! Your game could not live up to mine and yet that bitter ass jury of your friends would vote for you every single fucking time. Tell the truth Kevin and put some respect on my mother fucking game. He played a good game but he also learned to give credit and respect where and when it was due. There's no hard feelings for that afterwards.
Tyler couldn't even take responsibility in his role for their arguement even though Bay did. First he was in denial - no it's a lie it was Bay she wanted me out! Then it became the blame Hay game. It's Hays fault that the meeting happened, it's Hays fault I acted like a fool, it's Hays fault Bay had to scream at me. And even in the end it was throwing it off on something else in his so call apology instead of taking ownership - he had to make an enemy out of her. She gave the hardest eyeroll and wtf face in history because booooy was he fucking up. All he had to do was take ownership - apologize appropriately and give respect where respect was due. But he couldn't.
I find it interesting that Tyler's game could've been different if he'd remember that in this version of chest you may take some pieces off the board but they just go into a waiting cell (jury) if you get them out too late in the game. If he'd taken Bay out earlier instead of sending her people to her in Jury like her influence ended the moment she left the board. Or if he hadn't fallen to the first theory.
From start to finish the war was between the two I picked so I think I'm getting better at this.

Creed II Review
So it happened!!!!!! I finally saw Creed II and it was magnificent. As a woman who has and always will study acting and film, I am really impressed. Let’s be honest, sequels usually suck, and movie companies usually only make them for a quick buck, but like I stated before I am impressed. I’m not going to give away too much since I know some people still have yet to see it.
Michael B. Jordan! Michael B. Jordan! Michael B. Jordan! I love this mans versatility as an actor, and them dimples make me melt in my seat every single time. Although this movie has a good amount of action in it, Michael brought it with the emotions. I can’t tell you how many times I saw him cry in this movie, and it amazed me. It’s 2018, but there is still a huge stigma about men crying, and it’s sad. Men are allowed to cry and have emotions, especially black men!!! In the film we see Adonis a.k.a. Donny cry tears of joy, defeat, pain, and redemption. I loved how they implemented all the phases of being an athlete in this film including the emotional trials that athletes go through that the public does not see a lot. Big salute to Michael and his versatility, to go from having people see him as Kilmonger in February to Adonis in November truly shows what an amazing actor he is. Give this man his things!
Tessa Thompson! Tessa Thompson! Tessa Thompson! I already love this girl, so I may be biased but this was another amazing performance. What I love about the character Bianca is that she was so relatable. Thriving through having a disability and still riding for her man, but also letting him have it when he needed it. This character goes from being a girlfriend, to a fiance, to a mother in the film. We see her trying to balance all of that while still trying to have a career as a creative, which I know a lot of women are going through right now. I also loved how she was the character who brought in the most amount of comic relief in the film, seeing her on the screen was an absolute breath of fresh air.
Sylvester Stallone. To be completely honest the plastic surgery kept throwing me off so much that I could barely listen to him, but I do understand why he’s an important character in the movie. Rocky was that great older motivational push that I hope everyone has in their life. I appreciate the fact that in this movie they kinda had Rocky move to the side and really let Donny be the star of the movie.
The other actors in the movie also added to the movies depth. As stated before I really appreciated how they showed the emotional side of boxing instead of just the physical.
I’m not going to give away much more, but I definitely give this movie 5 stars. The action, the dialogue, the acting, the story, and the dimples were all amazing. I highly recommend that everyone go see it!

So I saw this and really liked it and I'm going to try and expand upon it because I couldn't find any follow ups.
Time line
- When Peter really starts going through his rebellious phase to T'challa is there to act as a piece maker between him and the other ravagers and the relationship doesn't deteriorate nearly as much as it does in canon.
- They do eventually get their own ship and this leads to a whole bunch of shenanigans that that eventually lead them to more or less follow the movie timeline rather than the what if timeline.
- They end up in prison and meet the other guardians.
- The 1st movie basically happens the exact same as it does in cannon except the ravenders are trying to help Peter and to T'challa throughout the movie and Nebula and T'challa flirt.
- At the end of the movie the guardians of the Galaxy are officially part of that chapter of the ravenders, because like in the what if episode they become more robinhood type of criminals did T'challa's influence. Though not the extent that they were in the what if episode.
- At this point yonder is really debating on whether or not to reveal Peter's true heritage to him, as the question of why Yondu took him was a much greater point of contention in this time line due to T'challa presence.
- He ends up not telling Peter directly but does telling T'challa that if they do run into anyone claiming to be peter's biological father it was probably a trap.
- 2nd movie starts out as it dozen cannon with the addition of T'challa.
- When Ego shows up, T'challa is very wary of him and warns Peter not to go with him. Him and Peter get into a big argument over it, and it ends with T'challa staying with the ship while Peter goes off with Ego.
- T'challa ends up contacting Yandu and he flips out. He tells T'challa that they need to go after Peter now and get him away from Ego as fast as he can. He doesn't explain the entire situation but he says that hes on his way and that Ego is very dangerous.
- Yondu arrives at the planet where T'achala Rocket and Groot are and pick them up instead of attacking them.
- Now I'm not entirely sure how I want to handle the mutiny. I think that it will still happen but with different motivations and with a smaller group of mutineers.
- I'd imagine some of the more old school Crew members were pretty fed up with a new way that yandew was running the crew, and the way he favored his boys.
- The meeting wouldn't be as successful as the movie but would still result in a large amount of the crew dead, with only those loyal to yandu still alive at the end.
- To chala yandu and the others raised to egos planet to try and rescue Peter and the others.
- Ending of the movie is basically the same. Yonder dies saving Peter and then Peter and tachala mourn over the death of their adoptive father.
- Nebula joins the guardians and While Peter has definitely picked up some good habits from the chala the chala has also picked up some flirting technique from his adoptive brother.
- Everything's smooth sailing till Thor headbutts the morano.
-Things proceed as they do in the movie with tachalla joining Thor, Rocket and Groot in going to forge Thor's new weapon.
- This ends with tachala Getting teleported to akanda In the middle of the battle and having a total wtf moment.
- This doesn't last for too long as they're in the middle of a battle but if yonder was still alive he would have many questions for.
- Note for how the MCU was affected by the chaos absence.
His father still dies in Civil War with his mother taking up his role in that movie, at least politically. Black panther the movie is instead focused on Shuri and how she deals with becoming Queen and the whole Kilmonger crisis.
- In this au at the end of the battle he is not dusted and neither is Shuir. Him and his mother have a very tearful and emotional Reunion.
- Him and Shuri but head a little bit, At 1st due to Shuri not really knowing what to make of her long lost brother suddenly jumping out of the stars.
- When captain Marvel returns with nebula and Tony, He is informed of Peter and the other guardian's deaths. He's an emotional wreck at the loss of his adoptive brother and teammates.
- The next 5 years he struggles with his identity as both a ravenger and the Prince of wakanda. He doesn't want to take the throne away from Shuri, as she is a good Queen and he feels he doesn't have the right to be king of a nation he hasn't lived in since he was a kid. But he does want to get in touch with his culture and heritage and his biological family.
- He feels that his talents would be more useful helping captain Marvel and Rocket and the other surviving ravagers out in space.
- He splits his time between the ravenger fleet and wakanda. Grieving over the loss of his family members both those he did and didn't know.
- When the whole time travel plan is being discussed, It is decided that he not time travel but act as a backup in case things go South.
- Things happen as they do in normal time, And those who were dusted get brought back and the final battle happens. T'challa and Peter kick ass beside each other on the battlefield, and after it's all over to T'challa introduces his adoptive brother to his biological family.
I don't have much more in the way of timeline or details planned out and I might add to this later down-the-line. If you want to add something go right on ahead.
Yondu's Boys
Headcanons for an AU where both T'Challa and Peter are abducted by Yondu, and become part of the Ravager crew.
...
-After getting mistakenly abducted, T'Challa chooses to stay with the Ravagers, eager to see all the beauties and wonders that exist outside of Wakanda, a galaxy that his father refused to let him experience. His thirst for adventure and calm demeanor at meeting aliens impresses Yondu, and he agrees to take the boy with them. He continues on with the plan of abducting Peter Quill, taking on the mission himself this time. Peter, in comparison to T'Challa, is terrified, and tries to fight off any Ravager that comes near him. T'Challa begs Yondu to let Peter go, but Yondu refuses. When T'Challa tries to argue, Yondu warns him that there are consequences for going against the captain, and that taking Peter is for the boy's own good.
-T'Challa was taught from a very young age to be respectful and polite to his elders, especially other leaders. He doesn't backtalk when Yondu does something he thinks is wrong or unfair. He appeals to Yondu with sound logic and solid debate, illustrating all the better, more beneficial courses of action Yondu can take. His diplomacy skills cause Yondu to realize T'Challa is royalty before the child confesses his lineage.
-Yondu is a lot tougher with Peter than he is with T'Challa, which causes a lot of friction in their relationship. T'Challa tries to step in before things get too far, but sometimes he isn't around when the sparks fly. Yondu finds Peter's stubborn, feisty and rebellious nature equally infuriating and endearing. To curb his angry outbursts, he threatened his crew would eat Peter if he didn't behave. It worked, but Yondu quickly ceased such tactics when T'Challa told him, with heavy disappointment in his voice, that it gave Peter bad nightmares.
-Peter is convinced that T'Challa is Yondu's favourite, and it's a thought that makes him bitter. If Yondu didn't want him on the ship, why did he take him in the first place? He tries not to take it out on T'Challa, because he knows that he didn't do anything wrong, but sometimes he lashes out. T'Challa is very patient, and tries to get Peter to see that Yondu likes him very much, he just has a different way of showing it. Peter makes him promise not to tell Yondu his insecurities, but eventually their captain/adoptive father finds out, and it's a very awkward talk for him, an amusing one for T'Challa, and a relieving one for Peter.
-Peter is a very bad influence. T'Challa shares his need for adventure and freedom, and so the pair often get into misadventures whenever the ship docks.
-Peter and T'Challa share a room. Peter's side is always a disaster zone, and T'Challa's is always neat and tidy. So long as Peter's mess stays on his side, T'Challa doesn't mind.
-As they get older, T'Challa becomes the soul of the ship, with his desire for the Ravagers to use their abilities for good. Peter is the spirit, fearlessly driving them to new and greater heights.
-T'Challa and Peter are attached at the hip. Peter takes a while to adjust to life on the Eclector, and T'Challa comforts him as he grieves the loss of his mother. He keeps Peter from getting into too much trouble, and Peter shows T'Challa that, sometimes, you have to break the rules and get sassy in order to get what you really want.
-T'Challa is the only person who is allowed to touch Peter's Walkman.
-Yondu loves his boys. They become his, and anyone who tries to harm them is either killed or severely beaten. When T'Challa gets homesick and wants to return to Wakanda, Yondu tells him it was decimated in war. When Peter demands to know why he was abducted, Yondu gets harsh in order to shut down his questions. He doesn't want T'Challa to know his home, and his family, are as healthy as when he left it. He doesn't want Peter to know his biological father is out there in the universe, for fear that he'll escape to try and find him. Yondu has lived a long, violent life, but his greatest loss would be losing his boys, and he's selfish enough to keep that from happening at any cost.

I cant say one gd bad thing about Black Panther. There was SO MUCH that was just... beautiful about it.
Erik Kilmonger's storyline was definitely a fucking favorite. How Michael B Jordan acted was just... I was on the edge of my seat!!!! Everything that came out of his mouth was just... holy shit. A few hours later Im still having chills.
TChalla with Nakia??? "..Hi." PLEASE. Stop my heart to take out the sweet sugar in my veins Im getting a toothache that was so cute.
TChalla's storyline just.. FLOORED ME TOO. In HOURS his whole world changes and what does he do? Confronts and adapts, but still remains true to himself, and that he's still a good man.
Okoye and Nakia I just.... I loved watching them On Screen together??? SO MUCH. They made a perfect team despite how different they were, BUT THEY WORKED WELL INSTEAD OF CLASHING.
Klaue holy shit, I REALLY LIKED WHERE THEY WENT WITH HIM. Im really glad how that went.
SHURI. She's a perfect genius, but still a kid!!! A super valued member of their society and team and STILL A KID. She still goofed off and had fun but they also treated her like she was the best in ber field CAUSE SHE IS!!!
Also her excited "Another Broken White Boy for us to Fix!!!" PLS SHURI.
I cant wait to see where this takes the MCU, anf I cant wait to see more of Wakanda Im so pumped to see this movie again soon

Note
Bucky is such a complex character there is so much they could have done (still could do) with his character and Sebastian has the range to act the shit out of a deeper storyline. Like Mackie they have damn good actors who can bring a lot of depth to these characters if they would give them the script to do so.
Anon 2: We saw more than mime Bucky, and I am truly grateful for that. And I'm glad Seb got the extra exposure. However, the little we saw also drove home how much more we could have with Bucky as an actual superhero and not just a sidekick with a bad story arc. It's just heartbreaking to me how much Marvel has wasted both the character and Seb.
Anon 3: Seb did an incredibly smart thing (irk?!) by making it clear that he’s all in. Just give him something to do Marvel. // He is nothing if not deferential to them. It makes me wonder where the line is, when you can actually share your ideas as an actor. It bothers me that he is able to articulate the concept of trauma and come up with storylines for his character better than the writers/directors. He better write a script soon. Sometimes you have to make your own lane.
Anon 4: They have the opposite problem that DC does.>> Exactly, that's why I said if he was a DC character, Bucky wouldn't have had a problem with his whole story told, they tend to be more loyal to the comics, we would have had a movie led by Bucky and maybe even Bucky Natasha. I think that's why Seb said he was open to doing DC / Warner.
Anon 5: Marvel Dudebros are saying that he should have assumed the identity of Nomad that belonged to Steve than White Wolf, I agree.
Anon 6: Loved that Marvel dudebros are complaining Bucky was nerfed in the series because he is a soldier with serum that was being beaten by that terrorist (I'm sorry Sam, but she is a terrorist, she killed innocent people and didn't feel remorse for it). We know he is more strong than that, he went toe to toe with Steve and managed to defend himself against T'Challa. Bucky was shown weak. I hate the Russos, but at least they showed Bucky's potential in Cap films.
Anon 7: White Wolf in the comics is T'Chaka's adopted son, he is a white man who fell in love with Wakanda, because of this he is named the head of the secret police of wakanda. He and the police are violent, and this goes against T'Challa's wishes, he leaves Wakanda and becomes a mercenary. Part of his personality was given to Kilmonger, which is why can't adapt him, why they are giving Bucky this nickname. What they can do is make Bucky head of the secret police in Wakanda, or agent to Wakanda.
Vamp - Everyone knows Mackie is an incredible actor but I feel many were caught off guard with Seb's performance - most notably the therapy scene with that line "and if he was wrong about you, then he was wrong about me" and of course, the scene in Wakanda. Seb can deliver when you give him something to do in these films.
It will be interesting to see what Marvel decides to do with the character. They'd be fools not to capitalize on the success of TFATWS and this character.

Guess who has seen Black Panther? And let me tell you can believe the hype, because it was a fantastic movie.
Spoilerfree Review: (aka all the things I loved)
- All the women. Because there were a lot of them, basically T’Challa’s entire entourage was female. They were his mentors, his family, his protectors. They were a vital part of the action. Without them the movie wouldn’t have worked. And T’Challa is acknowleding their help all the time.
- Wakanda. The mix between traditional Afrika and the high developed engineering we see. The symbolic meaning and what the country represents.
- The costumes. For them alone this movie is worth watching.
- The soundtrack. Again great between traditional and modern.
- Martin Freeman as the token white guy.
- The action scenes. There is a car chase sequence that looks amazing.
- The big moral and political questions this movie is build around. I don’t want to go too much into details here, but to me that was the strongest point of the movie. Simply the tone of the movie reminded me of the last two Captain America movies, Winter Soldier & Civil War, who were at their core political movies as well.
- The villian. Because even though there are a few exceptions most Marvel villians are kinda... meh. Kilmonger though was great. There was a moment where I wondered if the villian actually has a point, which to me proves what a good movie Black Panther is, because it questions the hero and isn’t afraid to ask questions that are complicated and whose answers you might don’t like.
I tried very hard to find something about this movie that I didn’t like, but there is nothing. It is funny, it has action, great characters, but most of all it might be one of the most relevant movies in 2018, that feels like both a commentary and an answer to our current political clima. If you have not seen it, please take the time. (And yes, you can totally watch it without ever seeing any other Marvel movie before.)
STUFF I ALSO WANNA TALK ABOUT THAT IS FULL OF SPOILERS, SO I TAKE IT UNDER THE CUT, PLEASE DON’T READ IF YOU HAVE NOT SEEN THE MOVIE YET.
Something the movie doesn’t directly talk about, but that is a constant theme in the subtext is racism, white privilege, cononialism and the opression of black people. And they do an interesting twist in the way that all the people of Wakanda are priviliged as well. There isn’t just an individual responsibility T’Challa has as a king or superhero, but an entire nation’s responsibility. Both Killmonger and Nakia, the villian and the love interest, think Wakanda should use their resources and their technology to help others, espcially black people, even though they want to achive this goal in different ways.
Wakanda is a black fantasy, a fairytale if you like, and that is what made Kilmonger so great, that you can emotionally connect to him, because he used to dream of this land, his home. That he knows about this utopia but grows up seeing all the pain black people have to suffer through each day. The conversation with his dead father and his dying scene were among the strongest moments in the movie. In the end he chooses death over impresentment, the same way his ancestors choose death over slavery.
T’Challa’s emotional journey in this movie is amazing. From realizing that his father made a mistake, that his choice helped creating Killmonger, to the point where he realizes that his nation can no longer ignore the responsibility it has to the world. T’Challa ends the isolation and starts to build bridges. Which is basically the opposite of everything Trump is doing.
There was also a very awkward moment when W’Kabi said the refugees would bring their problems with them. Because this is an argument I have heard a lot of people saying here in Germany, so imagine the moment in the cinema when a black man said it. Also, bless his heart for coming to his senses at last and kneeling down in front of his super awesome girlfriend Okoye, as he should have the whole time.
I wonder what the reveal of Wakanda will mean for the future of the MCU? We saw their technology and it would make sense if organizations like the Avengers would use them in the future, which would give the MCU a much more futeristic feeling as before. Also, the post-post-credit scene. Does that mean Bucky is completely healed? What about his triggers? Also also, I hope he and Shuri become friends. Not pictured, but something I am convinced happened: sparring sessions between Cap and T’Challa.
