Oh, Crowven for sure! Hes probably in my top 5 favorite Noisrev/ArcadeKitten characters in general! I love Ingram and all, but hes just no match for THE Crowboy!

I love your Clover and Staroba art!! It has me wondering, though... Do you have any ideas regarding a possible amalgamate Kanako, and how she could fit into the picture?

So, I'll be honest. Kanako being an amalgamate has been utterly stumping me for this AU.

Partially because I think it's just so tragic and it hurts to think about and draw! And partially because I wonder if she even turned into one, given the unique circumstances of how she fell down. So while this isn't concrete, this ask did make me think of a scenario in which Clover overhears Ceroba receiving news about Kanako, and breaking into the Lab with Martlet in order to find her.

How sad it might be that the the adopted child of Ceroba's is the first to find out what truly happened to her first child.

Bonus note: Kanako's amalgamate form is based off this. I like to think if she did become an amalgamate, she's the one that tucks you in.

Excerpt on Midnight Cowboy from an interview with John Schlesinger in Literature/Film Quarterly, 1978:

Riley: When I've shown the film to students, they have very mixed feelings about the ending. How do you see that? What is that moment to Joe? Is it affirmative, or is it despairing?

Schlesinger: I don't see it as a despairing ending. I feel that it's a catharsis to the whole film. It's a catharsis of a boy who has been lost and who has these strange memories of being picked out for sexual prowess and how important that seemed to him. He has this whole experience of going to New York and finding that the fantasy is total bullshit and that the reality of life there is one of eking out some kind of existence, and then he finds the relationship that he strikes up with Ratso. Some people have said it's a homosexual relationship, but it really isn't per se. It's about the need of one human being for another. I daresay that Ratso- if anybody had found him attractive, man, woman, or dog- would have been anxious to express it physically perhaps. That's why he was so hostile towards it all. But I think that having made a commitment to Ratso, Joe realized the whole ludicrousness of the situation. On the bus he ruminates about the possibilities of what he's going to do, and I think in the back of his mind his taking Ratso to Miami is a kind of gesture. I think he knows it's hopeless. That's what I remember discussing with Jon Voight, that Joe knows they aren't going there for a life together in the future. He knows that Ratso's probably not going to survive the journey. At the end when he sits there with Ratso, I don't think Joe's saying, "Now what am I going to do? I'm lost." I think he's already released himself from the fantasy, he already knows that he's going to be okay.

It certainly never struck me as we were doing it that we were making something that was meant to send the audience out in deep depression feeling that Joe Buck is totally lost, because I don't think he is.

Riley: As a matter of fact, he's saved.

Schlesinger: Yes, and I think he's saved by that relationship, by discovering something about the possibilities of a human relationship in the midst of this very unlikely one. That's exactly what attracted me to the material.

It's been 4 years since I saw this post about an elf joining the Inquisition (or is inquisitor?) and claiming to be Fen'Harel. I finally got hit with inspiration for a design and here we are. Thank you @another-rogue-trevelyan for that brilliant post

A little lore/character ideas beneath cut

Armed with two crossbows and a bit o' magic, they might just be the quickest draw in Thedas, but that could be as much of a tall tale as it is their claim to being the Dread Wolf. We hear riveting tales of their glowing feats, from liberating slaves wherever they may be found, to simply wrangling a stray halla or helping the local grandmas bake pies for the upcoming market. This Fen'Harel is super cool and charming and everyone loves them.

Other random RIDICULOUS lore:

Tattoos on their chest!

Golden City - always searching for their "golden city", but also abide by the Golden Rule. ("Unless it's gambling or a heist...y'know, rules are bendy things, let's not get into the fine print.")

Black City - what is that thing that would make them give it all up and go all in?

Arm tattoo - they forgot the meaning, as they got it during one drunken night in Antiva (or was it Rivain?), but they're pretty sure it's a poem or song to Fen'Harel.

Of course, they have a massive ego, pride, and gambling problems but we all have our flaws. So. They've donned the old name, for better or worse.]
