one of the parts of the fanon “PK/DA was an active superhero sometime before DT2017 and donald retired either before or because of the boys” fic premise/microgenre that i think about a lot but have never seen explored is that. chronologically paperinik could very well have been what in the in-universe Darkwing Duck television series was parodying. in a world without actual batman or dc comics to parody the DWD tv show is Paperinik fanfic that later becomes real life again. sorry to break it to you drake but you’re PK through the fandom telephone. i love it.

#like even if season 2 does ever happen ive seen rumors that if it does marvel wants to tie it further into the mcu#like obvs it was already in the mcu but i mean ive heard they might put avengers characters in moon knight and#honestly im too tired of the mcu have been for too long#marvel ruined marvel for me#moon knight would honestly be the only mcu property id go and watch but i wont if it ends up with whoever the current avengers are in it#i dont want to go and do homework and watch all the mcu movies and shows ive missed just to watch moon knight season 2#and if they put loki series bullshit like the tva in there then i cant watch it at all#thats why i couldnt watch deadpool and wolverine even though i was initially excited for it#the loki series caused me as a trans person active in the loki fandom to get harassed so much i cant see anything#to do with that show without getting uncomfortable so if the tva is there i especially wont be watching moon knight#i dont know how marvel thinks they can sustain the mcu forever like surely if new people want to get into the mcu#or even like kids who like superheros they cant just to go the cinema and watch the newest movie#cos they wont understand anything unless they stay home and do homework by watching years of movies and tv shows first#having everything connected at first was run. watching avengers assemble in the cinema was fun.#but theres too much now and it hasnt been fun in a long time#i also remember hearing after phase 1 they got rid of the team that made sure all the movies by different writers and directors#still felt cohesive and had continuity with each other and i feel that shows more every year#wow didnt expect to be giving an mcu rant in the tags its just sad sometimes to think how long i loved marvel for#and now i really couldnt care less about it. though that started with endgame when they made fatphobic jokes about thor all movie#that was the last time i saw a marvel movie in cinemas. think it was the last time i watched any mcu movie.#watched a few shows after that but got too burned by the transphobia in the loki series. and then moon knight and then nothing.#im just sitting here forever clinging onto the main mcu timeline loki who died in infinity war and never got brought back to life#just me and them in my own corner where they can have nice genderfluid representation#the vampire answers

Saber was one of the final network releases I've located (after‚ i might say‚ a long long search for a reasonably priced#copy). so. the story of Saber of London. (deep breath). SoL is really a development of The Vise; for more on the needlessly complex history#of that series you can follow the appropriate tag above. in short The Vise was a crime anthology made specifically for US tv but produced#in the UK using brit actors writers and directors. the recurring character of Mark Saber was popular enough that the show eventually became#The Vise: Mark Saber; it then became Saber of London. some sources still regard this show as essentially being a later series of The Vise#(and it does still use the og theme tune over the end credits) but considering the title change and (crucially) the fact that SoL saw the#series move from ABC to NBC‚ im gonna consider this its own self contained show and number the episodes accordingly (ie. this is series 1 o#Saber of London not series 5 or 7 (depending on your counting) of The Vise). anyway now that's all out of the way.#there's little material difference between this series and the slightly earlier The Vise: Mark Saber episodes besides new titles and a#different introductory spiel from star Donald Gray. our hero is still a plucky private detective undertaking modest cases that the show's#budget will allow. this ep concerns art forgeries and an attempt to trap the criminals responsible‚ which means Saber must call on an art#expert to help authenticate the works. enter Honor! not yet a star‚ Honor did have a decade of acting experience behind her#which is maybe reflected in the fact that she's given an unusually meaty part for a woman in this series: she's neither victim nor love#interest (which are the usual roles) but a witty and intelligent source of assistance to the hero.#unlike The Vise episodes (which could take up to a decade to appear in the uk if they did at all) SoL appears to have had a fairly regular#slot from Granada about two years after the show's US premier. this ep would have been seen by uk audiences in 1959

rewatching all the movies Loki was in and I just wanna know why it's never talked about that Loki was taken by Thanos like. It's obvious in the Avengers movie and I'm pretty sure it's been confirmed, but besides that it's NEVER ONCE been addressed in other movies he's in OR HIS OWN SHOW WHERE THEY EVEN DELVED INTO HIS LIFE like ????

I find it hilarious that after Ms. Marvel Spider-Man and nova team up briefly with the avengers, Miles writes a whole fanfic love triangle where both him and nova are after Ms. Marvel and she sees this and she does not know that he wrote it and she immediately starts critiquing the writing because of this line that was in the fic
Fic Ms marvel - your quads are on point. Have you been doubling up on leg day?
Then it pans back to miles sitting at his computer and he’s like “what?! says you, Internet Rando!…She says that in my dreams”

Marvel: Heroes & Legends (1997) #1
#the interesting things here are that Steve recognizes he needs to ‘learn to lighten up’#particularly that that’s in the context of his relationship with Rick#since Steve acts so differently with him than he does with everyone else#that Steve would think ‘it’s hard for me to come out of my shell’ in the context of his relationship with Rick#when I would say he’s really overly emotionally expressive with Rick#both in that he tells Rick deeply personal things like that Rick’s given him the will to go on very early in their relationship#he also opens up to Rick later this issue about his ‘gnawing fear’ that the original Avengers won’t ever return to the team#but also in that he isn’t restrained with Rick at all#he’ll talk to him harshly if that’s the mood he’s in#(Steve genuinely does need to lighten up towards Rick)#with the expectation that Rick’s not going to leave him regardless#it stands out that Rick would insist ‘I’m /me/- not Bucky Barnes’ when really he’s trying to take Bucky’s exact role in Steve’s life#and because of that he never argued that point in either of his two stints with Steve#the closest would be ‘If I’m not good enough to fill Bucky’s boots… say so!’ in Captain America (1968) issue 110#and the idea that Steve made up his mind but allowed Rick to think otherwise is brand new#I think that Steve was inconsistent in the early issues of The Avengers (1963) not because he was tricking Rick#but because he was mentally all over the place#he didn’t tell Rick right away when he changed his mind about letting Rick be his sidekick after he learned Zemo is alive#so Rick didn’t learn about the change until Rick raised the topic#but that was definitely not above Steve trying to ‘find a way to break it to him- a way he’ll understand’ at all#that was because Steve was in his own world in his own mind#marvel#steve rogers#rick jones#my posts#comic panels
