Going to see Alien: Romulus tonight and it just occured to me how funny it is that considering how much of a nerd I usually am about worldbuilding, somehow I manage to be both completely insanse about the xenomorphs and have avoided getting steeped in the alienverse lore.

I interact with the alien franchise like a guy who buys a videogame only because it has a big-tiddy girl on the cover. I'm here ONLY for the hot bitches (the xenomorphs). How do the timelines of the alien movies work? no idea. Can I name more than one human character in the entire series? No. Whatever is going on with the corporation and the colonisation plots, I have no idea.

I see a xenomorph on screen and all the blood usually used for memorizing things like: plot, setting, or characters falls instantly downwards from my brain.

But... here we are! In the first story, aliens of the xenomorphic variety were discovered on the earth of the Avatar series. If you know the Alienverse, you know that it is a grungy, dark future, with megacorporations holding way too much power, and profits ALWAYS put before people. Huh. Outside of the aliens themselves, this is far too real. Anyway... In Aliens, then, Korra hid the fact that she is the Avatar from as many people as she can (Asami figured it out part way through the first story). Obviously, she needed to use her Avatar powers in fighting against the xenomorphs, but she is not nearly as powerful here as she is in canon. Of the characters in the first story, only Asami, Korra, and Ikki survived. This story starts off only a few hours after the first one ended, with Asami flying Korra and Ikki in the direction of Wolf Cove, and hopefully, a new, peaceful life. Of course, a peaceful life doesn't make for much of a story, does it? Enjoy! i cant reveal too much right now because i havent thought it up yet but i have a bunch of scattered thoughts that i’ve been ruminating on!

they were off-planet when the black hole suddenly appeared. im using cartoon logic so dont expect too much scientific realness. just funky magic space logic

im thinking that maybe they were doing a prisoner transfer, to add some unique characters to the situation when their home disappears.

tetra is in charge but hes kinda majorly depressed. theyre all dealing with um. all the stuff. on top of trying to find other members of their species or a planet to restock on

um uhhh i havent got much on them aside from im thinking their society is kinda fucked up and imperialistic maybe so theres this guilt at the relief they feel that everythings just… gone
