Erika Jayne: Bet It All on Blonde (Part 2)
The road to her comeback concert was a rocky one. Her manager Alexis Fisher and Mikey Minden had to have a crisis meeting!
They were worrying about her performance, and they were beginning to doubt if they should go though with the concert. For all their careers.
They were struggling so much with the number for “One Hot Pleasure” that they had to cut it from the show.
Mikey worried that the trauma with the lawsuits and trials had wrecked her confidence in her persona as Erika Jayne. Something wasn’t right.
But maybe it was too soon?
According to Bravo, her concerts received great reviews and was viewed as a success. Is it true?
Sutton Stracke had been doing shady jokes about the low price of the tickets and she said that she wasn’t going to go to the Las Vegas show.
Kyle Richards thought this was terrible of Erika, as she’s shitting on Erika who’s already beaten down with the Girardi legal cases. Why couldn’t she support Erika?
The only review I could find, was of Vegas 411, who wrote: “Although BET IT ALL ON BLONDE is a smartly-curated experience, it’s not without flaws.”
And her shows weren’t without controversy. There were a lot of noise among the fan pages regarding her shows in Las Vegas.
For instance was someone accusing Erika of stealing her music.
What the documentary didn’t show however was how she had other songs that wasn’t her own, like Madonna’s “Material Girl”.
Her manager called the show the greatest thing Las Vegas had ever seen, which was probably the biggest lie that was told in this documentary.
But she and Mikey were probably more relived than anything else. It looked like it was going to be a huge failure, but Erika managed to deliver a show.
Sadly, Erika’s beloved dog, Tiago died a month after her shows in Las Vegas. She still has a battle to fight with the legal cases Mr. Girardi is going through.
People will continue to want to see her fail, but I don’t know if I’m one of them anymore.

Wouldn't this have been the perfect Gilmore-Huntzberger-Mariano household post AYITL?
From now on, I'm definitely regarding Nell Fisher (you will see her soon in Evil Dead Rise) as Rory and Logan's kid in canon universes post AYITL but Jess as her surrogate dad...
Agree/ Disagree?

As Muhammad Ali (Ray Fisher) prepares for one of his most anticipated fights, an unlikely friendship is formed with the controversial Hollywood star, Stepin Fetchit (Edwin Lee Gibson). One a vibrant and audacious youth, the other a resentful and almost forgotten relic—together they fight to form their public personas and shape their legacies amidst the struggle of the Civil Rights Movement of the mid-1960s. 👥: Ray Fisher, Edwin Lee Gibson, Wilkie Ferguson III, Alexis Floyd, Bruce Nozick, Freddie L. oh that was me with the lando & martin timeline anon. the full timeline may make your brain melt more. this is the stuff we know about for sure:
met late summer 2022 at one of martin's gigs in Ibiza - lando was there on vacation with max f, ollie etc. the video going around of them at fisher's gig was a couple of days after martin's.
sept 2022 monza gp - martin was at the race even though he wasn't playing and was with mclaren - they posted pics of him and daniel in their hospitality. after the race, lando posted pics of them him & martin leaving in a heli - he called martin his uber driver 🤣. lando stayed in amsterdam for a few days. both of them posted videos of them on martin's boat on the canals with martin's friend jurrian. local gossip sites mentioned they'd been seen in restaurants with friends. in this time martin bought lando his decks. lando posted pics of himself with them on the plane back to the uk and martin said in an interview a few months later that he had bought them as a gift for lando.
oct 2022 - hang out after the mexico gp - there are clips on tiktok of them at a club.
dec 2022 dubai - martin was playing there on 30th dec, turned up a few days early and hung out with lando. martin posted pics of them on his insta with some masks & there was a video of them playing padel with martin k and someone else. lando's friends all posted from the vip section at martin's gig.
jan 2023 - following martin's gig in thailand, he and louis met up with lando & martin k and they all flew to finland for several days - lots of pics and videos - then on to ibiza for a few more days - martin has a home there and his parents & sister spend a lot of time there and were with them - martin posted a pic of himself with his family and also there were videos of lando and both martins on a hike. martin then flew to nice the same day lando went back to monaco - he posted a pic of himself the next day in nice getting a haircut.
may 2023 miami gp - martin was playing at the miami race. that's where the nipple pinch pics come from & also this gem https://www.tumblr.com/alexi-01/716928290612559872/stop-this-is-so-cute-look-at-martijns-face?source=share
june 2023 - arrive early together in nyc and hang out ahead of lando's press stuff. martin's parents and sister were also with them - there's a pic of them with lando & martin in a japanese tea house. lando stays through to martin's gig and arrives late for thursday media day in canada. martin shows up to play after the gp in canada. he and lando were out together that evening in montreal - a dj in the bar they were in took pics with them both. next day lando posts a pic of video of him, martin & louis on a hotel balcony.
july 2023 - max v & lando go to tomorrowland after the spa gp. max is in vip with his family, lando is up on stage with martin trying but failing to hide behind some speakers. videos of them at the afterpary. lando then goes to amsterdam for a couple of days before he has to be back in spa - posted a pic of the view from martin's place & a pic leaked of them playing pool.
august 2023 - after being on vacation with his family lando goes to ibiza. missed all his friends who had been there all summer, stays with martin's childhood friends incl jurrian from the amsterdam boat. pics of them out celebrating ward and jurrian's bdays and the afterparty of martin's show. lando then flies with martin to his shows in bratislava and then marseille - was pictured in bratislava plus martin posted a story with him in and lando let the marseille detail out in a ziggo interview at the amsterdam gp.
sept 2023 - zandvoort gp martin hanging with lando's dad on the grid. after the race there's a video of the two of them getting out of a van at amsterdam airport and boarding max v's plane which flew to monaco.
oct 2023 - hung out after the mexico gp after lando had had dinner with carlos. i follow a friend of lando & max v's who lives in mexico city who now has a locked account so the pics aren't public but he posted pics of both of them and martin started following him. swedish house mafia guys were also there (assumption carlos may have been there too as even though there were no pics the guy started following him as well though carlos didn't follow back)
nov 2023 - that hug at the vegas gp. local papers reported lando was also in the club with martin and max v but there are no pics and as he was probably still in some pain after his crash it's likely they confused thierry v with lando.
dec 2023 - ski trip with lando's friends. martin flew directly back from gigs in singapore and malaysia to join up with them.
to be continued...
and that's just the stuff we know about lol. bffs of w/e else, anyone's guess at this point, but they really did become very close very quickly.
Anon, I am giving you a big ole fat kiss on the forehead. God bless you for this breakdown ❤️❤️❤️
So much stuff happens throughout the season that I routinely forget tiny details (especially ones you've listed here like the family dinner in New York). To see them all spelled out here is 😘🤌

Biblical References in Lord Peter Wimsey Novels: Have His Carcase
I would like to eventually have a post like this for each book, but since this is the one I most recently finished, we're starting with this one instead of at the beginning.
If I've missed any, do tell, because I would love a Complete and Accurate List. I don't think there are any major spoilers here, but just in case, I'll put 'em under a cut!
Chapter 4:
"Who told you about the body?"
"I nosed it from afar. Where the carcase is, there shall be eagles gathered together. May I join you over the bacon and eggs?"
Chapter 8:
He had covenanted with himself to interview Colonel Belfridge at eleven o'clock.
This one is more Biblical language than an actual quote, but I'm counting it because according to my rules it fits.
Chapter 9:
"...Alexis wasn't the sort to take a long country walk for the intoxicating pleasure of sitting on a rock.
"True, O Queen. Live for ever. ..."
Chapter 10:
"Wilvercombe is the more probable direction of the two, because anybody coming from Lesston Hoe would have seen her and put his crime off to a more convenient season, as Shakespeare says."
This one cracks me up because Inspector Umpelty has, earlier in the chapter, attributed a quote to the Bible which is not one.
Chapter 12:
But now, with the hope that they might be found to have entertained an angel of darkness unawares, they foresaw all manner of publicity.
Chapter 16a:
"Two boats stationed off the Grinders."
"Fishermen?"
"Fishers of men, I fancy," replied Wimsey, grimly.
Chapter 16b:
Harriet: Oh, death! where is thy sting?
Chapter 16c:
Harriet (reading): 'Last of all the woman died also' — probably from backache.
Chapter 16d:
Harriet: What is that in your hand?
Peter: A dead starfish.
This one, I admit, some might argue about, but it is EXACTLY the kind of thing I would do, pull some obscure quote and have a character use it, so I'm giving DLS this one.
Chapter 21:
"A contempt for money, Inspector, is the root—or at any rate, the very definite sign—of all evil."
An adaptation rather than a quote, but a very strong one.
Chapter 23:
Presently the inner door opened again and the young lady emerged, clothed and apparently very much in her right mind, for she smiled round...
Chapter 25:
"Which brings us to the point that either Weldon's party wrote the letter or the foreign party did the murder."
"True, O king."
Chapter 31:
"I said the Wilvercombe alibi would stand, and it has broken in pieces like a potter's vessel."

#8 Cal Wins Opening Weekend
Bears Are Flawless in Dispatching Four Opponents
BERKELEY – The No. 8 ranked California beach volleyball team closed out its opening weekend at the Clark Kerr Sand Courts with straight wins, beating all four opponents by a score of 5-0. In fact, with their victories over Saint Mary's, Santa Clara, American River and San Jose State they only dropped a single set.
"It was really exciting being able to open at home this year in front of our fans and supporters," Cal head coach Meagan Owusu said. "It was fun to see a bunch of new players in the lineup. It's a new squad, so we're just growing and getting to know the strengths that this specific group has and rolling with that."
Cal 5, Saint Mary's 0 The Golden Bears (4-0) got out to a fast start to the day as their first two pairs flew through their opening sets. Sophomore Portia Sherman and junior Ella Dreibholz started with a 21-11 win. After falling behind 13-8 in set two, they quickly rallied and pulled away late to take it 21-17.
Across the way, junior Ella Sears and freshman Kendall Peters cruised to a 21-12 opening-set victory before dropping set two 24-22. They broke a 9-9 tie in the decisive third set with three straight points, closing out the Bears' first nailbiter of the season with a 15-12 win.
Kicking off the next set of matches, sophomore duo Marilu Pally and Gia Fisher rallied from five points down in set one and never looked back, claiming a 21-17, 21-9 victory. Senior Brooke Buchner and graduate student Lara Boos broke out of a pair of close sets, holding off a pair of SMU (1-1) comeback attempts in a 21-19, 21-16 sweep.
The No. 1 pair of Emma Donley and Alexandria Young-Gomez finished things off with a dominant 21-10, 21-13 win in the final match against the Gaels.
1 Emma Donley and Alexandria Young-Gomez (CAL) def. Sedona Sherman and Sadie Shipman (SMU) 21-10, 21-13 2 Marilu Pally and Gia Fisher (CAL) def. Hannah Couch and Hawley Harrer (SMU) 21-17, 21-9 3 Brooke Buchner and Lara Boos (CAL) def. Allie Cataldo and Angie Bour (SMU) 21-19, 21-16 4 Portia Sherman and Ella Dreibholz (CAL) def. Order of finish: 4 5 2 3 1
No. 8 Cal 5, Santa Clara 0 In their afternoon matchup with the Broncos (0-2), the Bears comfortably handled every set by at least four points. Pally and Fisher went 21-8, 21-17 while Sherman and Dreibholz won 21-15, 21-17.
None of the Bears' final three pairs gave up more than 13 points in a set. Donley and Young-Gomez won set one 21-13 and finished things off on a cheeky bump winner to take set two 21-11. Sophomores Amelia Vugrincic and Jenna Colligan jumped out to 16-6 leads in both sets en route to a 21-13, 21-11 victory. Buchner and Boos ended the day with wins of 21-12 and 21-9.

Story Setting - Kelda and Keldan
"Did you ask Lars?"
Kelda/Keldan looks up at me from the familiar little fishing boat.
"Would it matter if I didn't?"
"Of course it would. He's very adept at paying slights back, you know."
They smirk. "He can try."
"Kelda/Keldan..."
"I asked him, and he agreed."
"Really?"
Rather than answer me directly, Kelda/Keldan slinks down deeper into the boat, crooking a finger in my direction to beckon me forth. I sigh, but follow, a little unsteady as the much loved little vessel rocks beneath my weight.
Kelda/Keldan's hands steady me, guiding me down to sit in front of them. The evening sun glints off the water, rippling like liquid gold across their features.
"Where are we going?" I ask, looking around for the oars.
The water ripples.
"Somewhere quiet," Kelda/Keldan says, amusement making their voice lighter than usual. "It's all in hand, Love."
I glance up. We're already many lengths away from the jetty, moving at speed that is less than an oar's stroke, but more than the drift of a current.
"Are you planning on bringing both me and the boat back before we're next needed?" I ask, casting my companion a sceptical smirk of my own.
Their left hand is in the water, drawing slow circles with their fingertips, caressing it into carrying us onwards.
"The fisher will have his boat by first light," they say, leaning back against the stern, the tiller redundant and used purely to rest their arm upon.
"And me?"
Kelda/Keldan hums. "I'm not sure when I'll 'return' you. After all, whose need am I to judge the time by? There's? Or mine?"
In attempts to keep my mind from those particular intricacies, and the way Kelda/Keldan's ice-blue eyes slide across my skin, I make a study of the marsh. The Mire stretches out before us, empty sky and endless reeds, aflame with the fading sun.
The evening chorus serenades our passage, the first wisps of mist coiling around the stumps of long fallen trees. Kelda/Keldan begins to hum, though I don't recall when the first note reached my ear. The melody is familiar, the words teasing the fringes of my thoughts.
Light sinks down into dusk, then twilight, and on we go, deeper, the forgotten melody swaying the reeds and calling forth the first stars.
The lightest pressure, near the base of my spine, draws me out of daydreams.
Kelda/Keldan's lips hush gently into my ear, their breath a rustle of grass, their touch dancing across my skin.
"You have to be quiet, Love," they whisper against my throat. "I brought you here for the peace of this place."
"Do you want me to be quiet?" I gasp. "Because you're not helping if so."
They chuckle, equal parts of their amusement coming to me through sound as through the thrum of their chest.
"I want you. Everything else can remain ashore."
"But-"
Their lips silence mine.
"Only you and only I," they say when we have parted. "All else remains ashore."
