Have you ever wondered what KEY LARGO would be like, but in South Dakota and with a monster? Better strap in then!

This whole season was the Nandor loves Guillermo back season. He loves him so much. He adores him. We had so many moments, big and small.
He realized something was wrong and organized a birthday dinner.
He bought him a present (foot locker) that Guillermo used as a coffin.
He asked him for bedtime stories and enjoyed Guillermo doing his hair
He got so jealous of Laszlo getting a bit of attention that he flew to outer space
AND admitted he was only doing it to impress Guillermo.
He tried and failed to replace him with Alexander just because Guillermo didn't want to go to the gym with him
and THEN he still took him to the movies with him
When he got in trouble with the news he kept looking and calling for Guillermo and got so angry at him for not being there
How giddy and proud he sounded when he spoke about Guillermo killing a theater full of vampires just to save him
The way he pleaded for his life to the Baron
The way he clung to the Baron's cloak just to stop him
His ridiculous plan with Nadja to kidnap them both and negotiate
The fact he spent the whole episode doing EVERYTHING in his power to save him
And he was so relieved to find him safe and sound in his own coffin
His little speech when he was begging for the Baron at the end, just saying over and over that Guillermo was true and loyal
His safety blanket being one of Guillermo's sweaters
The little boop at the end
The fact that he had Guillermo's card memorized and could recite it (he probably has it saved somewhere)
"I know you better than anyone" and he proceeds to prove it in the last episode
The way he kept including Guillermo into the family dynamic all season
How he wanted to hunt with him and kept calling for him, first to hunt and then for help
His face when he found out he'd been betrayed
The fact he was the only one who'd thought about the Van Helsing DNA interacting with the vampiric transformation (because he'd thought about it so much beforehand)
The way he had to turn the heartbreak to anger
He was a scorned lover
Him destroying Guillermo's things (he destroyed the pillow)
All his dramatics
How he went back to Panera Bread to wait for him night after night
The way he realized he loved Guillermo too much to kill him
How for all his dramatics and threats, he knew from the begging how to get Guillermo to come to him and didn't do it until he knew he wasn't going to kill him
How he probably sat and hung out with Guillermo's mom for a while, probably making conversation
The fact he was looking at his baby pictures (because he's Guillermo's significant other and Sylvia could tell)
Him promising Guillermo he wasn't going to kill him. His word as a vampire, his word as a warrior (season 3 episode 1 parallels much?)
The way he formally introduced him as fully fledged member of the family to the other vampires
How he, again, was the only one who knew what Guillermo needed to complete his transformation
The fact he gave him human blood (he helped transform Guillermo in the end)
The way he knew, almost straight away, that Guillermo wasn't going to be happy as a vampire
How he tried to get the Djinn to fix it for him
How he managed to do WITHOUT the Djinn's help
How he made up a whole ceremony to turn him back
The way he asked Guillermo if he'd rather be a vampire or a human
How he killed Derek when Guillermo couldn't do it
The fact that he knew Guillermo so well that he had his old glasses ready for him
The way he comforted him in the end.
Last season's theme was be careful what you wish for and this one was just love.
And Nandor loves Guillermo so much. And he knows him, he knows him so well.
I think, I think we ARE getting Nandermo next year. There's no other way the show can go on. There's no other direction for these two characters to go.
#writing this healed me#he loves him so much#that's the point#wwdits spoilers#wwdits#nandermo#nandor#nandor the relentless#guillermo de la cruz#mine

Do you think Nandor is actually dumb enough to think that a bird fucked a mouse and gave birth to a Guillermo lookalike frog? Or was he just looking for an excuse to dig into Guillermo cause he's a salty bitch who misses him.
You know, when I got the notification for this ask, at first all I saw was "do you think Nandor is actually dumb enough" and I just reflexively said "yes" without reading anything more, so there's that.
Genuinely, though, I think that Nandor often lives in a place of very deep denial, and he'll make up whatever he has to so he can keep living there. I do think he's dumb, don't get me wrong. But I think that Nandor often sees gaps but doesn't actually want to fill them. He knows Guillermo's acting weird, he knows Guillermo's never around anymore, he knows people are hiding something from him. But he's not letting himself fully think these things through.
Laszlo doesn't care about Guillermo -> (gap) -> Laszlo is spending all his time with Guillermo.
Nandor sees that gap, but he doesn't want to know the real answer, so he just comes up with one that's quick and easy and kind of stupid, which is that Laszlo is trying to woo Guillermo away from him.
Guillermo isn't around -> (gap) -> I feel lonely.
He sees that gap, but instead of talking to Guillermo about it or doing self-reflection about what his loneliness means, he just fills it with Alexander.
Everything is fine with Guillermo -> (gap) -> Guillermo is avoiding me and won't talk to me.
Again, he notices the gap. But he fills it with "obviously, I must have forgotten Guillermo's birthday." He doesn't even know when Guillermo's birthday is, but he just needs something to fill that gap and he will clutch at increasingly desperate straws to do so.
So that brings us to where we are now, when he is getting increasingly suspicious and frustrated and lonely and kind of scared, but he still can't bring himself to really evaluate what's going on.
Weird frogs that look like Guillermo are flying around -> gap gap gap gap gap.
And he could look at this and think, "holy shit, Laszlo is experimenting on Guillermo." He could look at this and think, "holy shit, something weird and supernatural is going on with Guillermo." He could look at this and think, "hey, do you think Guillermo is seeming awfully vampiric lately?"
But he can't think any of those things because they scare and upset him, so instead he has to fill that huge gap with literally anything else, and if that's gotta be a bird fucking a rat who fucked a frog who looks like Guillermo, well fucking so be it.
And if that idea seems to be suspiciously fueled by a friend doing something shady that he doesn't like (presumably Matthew the bird) and Guillermo not doing what he should be doing, well. Nandor isn't exactly going to examine what his subconscious is telling him there.
He's going to keep ignoring what his brain is slowly, slowly starting to put together in the background of his psyche and come up with literally any other option, no matter how inane it is.
He's good at that.
(But also yeah he's a salty bitch who misses him and wants to make Guillermo feel as bad as he does. 🥲)

Hellooooo I hope your day is good? Have an ask!
Fic authors self rec! When you get this, reply with your favorite five fics that you've written, then pass on to at least five other writers. Spread the self-love! <3
Whoo, my first ask! And from the exceptional and lovely @zenaidamacrouras1, whose fic Monoclonius I'm re-reading right now and loving just as much as the first time. An all-time fave, really, with just the best, sexiest, nerdiest Bucky and the sweetest dad Steve. Check it out if you haven't!
But this of course is supposed to be about *my* fics, so let's get started.
Five Favorite Fics That I've Written:
History Repleating (Or the Proper Care and Feeding of One Steven Grant Rogers), Modern AU, Shrunkyclunks, kidfic
Summary: Captain America!Steve receives a letter from Dr. J.B. Barnes, Brooklyn Historical Society. Except not quite that J.B. Barnes. This leads to Steve and Bucky having a meet cute via Bucky's work as a history teacher. Smut, fluff, and a smidge of angst ensue.
Comments: This one is, IMHO, the best fic I've ever written. Which is not to say it's good, exactly--your mileage may vary--but I don't think I'm ever going to get to this place again. It was winter 2022. We were all just re-emerging from lockdown. I was in the process of caring for my sweet little corgi girl at the end of her life, and I just needed some joy, you know? Something fun to look forward to. I feel like I channeled a lot of those emotions, that grief, into the Steve in this fic. Though it's not a sad fic by any means! It's full of bad jokes and sarcasm and sweetness and found family and people just caring for each other beyond reason. Bucky here is a bright light that comes into Steve's life at just the right moment, that allows him to believe that he could have a real future with someone to love. I really needed to hear that right about then, and so, as Alexander Hamilton sings, I wrote my way out. For that reason and many more, this will always have a special place in my heart.
Last Exit to Brooklyn, Modern AU, Shrunkyclunks, SoulMark
Summary: When Steve Rogers emerged from the ice, he wound up not only in a whole new century, but also with a brand-new soul mark. Knowing that the person he was destined to be with might be just around the corner made it easier for him to settle into a future where happily ever after was a sure thing. Until the Romanian drummer of a 'popular in Europe' heavy metal band, and freight car of personal baggage, come crashing into his life...
Comments: This fic is a confluence of so many things I really, really, really love. Soul mark AUs, for one. I looooooooove those. But I only wanted to write one if I felt like I could bring something new to the table. Once I hit on this particular idea, I knew I had to write it. Also, Tommy Lee!Seb kept me up nights, friends. I loved his look in that so much. As a teen, I had a whole hair metal phase. And it was a fun way to pay a little tribute to Seb's Romanian heritage, so... anyway. I particularly adore some of my Romanian OCs in this--two of them being not so veiled versions of Nadja and Laszlo in What We Do in the Shadows, LOL. Feeling kind of weird about tooting my own horn here, being Canadian and all (Sorry. Sorry. Sorry?) But anyway, they were all really fun to write, even if I think the fic ended up being a little too long and more angsty than I expected. A good thing? A bad thing? You can decide for yourself. ;)
Cut Him Out in Little Stars, Medieval AU, kidfic, arranged marriage
Summary:
Two Houses, both alike in dignity In fair Venora, where we lay our scene
Three years after a brutal, bloody war that saw their formerly friendly queendoms at odds for the first time in history, Prince Steven Rogers of House Grant seeks to solidify the peace between Lehigh and Venora through an alliance--marriage with Prince James Barnes of House Buchanan, his childhood friend turned unexpected enemy. But after years as the Fist of Hydra and a long recovery from brainwashing and torture, Bucky isn't in a place to marry anyone, let alone someone he doesn't even remember. Stubborn to the core, afflicted by tragic losses, and still half in love with someone who might only be a memory, Steve and his family journey to Lynbrooke, the capital of Venora, to attempt to end the tension between their queendoms, and perhaps heal his wounded heart.
Comments: My least-viewed fic by a wide margin, but one that I really love. Playing with the big tropes can be so much fun, and arranged marriage is one of the biggest and messiest. I also rewatched Seb in Kings right before writing this, and it started as a crossover between the world of that series and the idea of arranged marriage. But eventually it took its own path. I have a total soft spot for the Bucky in this one. Probably the most broken I've ever written him. I shy away from Winter Soldier recovery fics--love reading them, will never write one myself--and this is the closest I'll probably get to that. One of the reasons it's close to my heart is because I feel like they really earn their happy ending in this one.
A Slaying in Scarlet, a LOTR Mystery
Summary: On the eve of Aragorn’s coronation, Legolas and Elrohir are charged with investigating a brutal murder at the Citadel.
Comments: My AO3 account is split into two eras. From about 2002-2010-ish, I was heavily involved in the LOTR fandom, specifically writing Legolas/Elrohir, but also a few other pairings, including some OOC pairings along the way. After that, I went off to be a romance writer for a little while (and yes, I'm going to shamelessly plug my Stoker & Bash mystery romance series, because I'm fucking proud of them.) Then watching FatWS knocked me for six, and here we are, all Stucky, all the time. All this to say that my early LOTR work, I am certain, is not good. I have not re-read anything in ages, nor will I ever, most likely. But it was in writing those fics that I found a bit of my voice, and they gave me courage as a writer, and so I couldn't leave them off this list completely. This one is a Sherlock Holmes type deal, because I am also obsessed with mysteries. Hopefully it stands up a little bit. Buyer beware.
A Place to Rest and Remember Yourself (In My Arms), Shrunkyclunks
Summary: It's 2015, and Steve is living in a post-publicly coming out world. His every move is scrutinized in the tabloids and on social media, he's still wrestling with life in the 21st century, and the paparazzi never give him any peace. Making friends who aren't co-workers is practically impossible, let along dating. His solution? Have a regular, no-strings 'arrangement' with one of Natasha's honeypots. Bucky is a former spy and adventurer who used to work for S.H.I.E.L.D., but left for *reasons*. Having just gotten his heart ripped to shreds by a traitorous ex, he finds the idea of a discreet, 'with benefits' arrangement with his teenage-years crush very, very appealing. But you know what they say about what happens the minute you stop looking for love...
Comments: I wanted to write something quick and fun and smutty as hell for Stucky Week 2023. Instead... *sighs* You'll note that this ended up being 18 freaking chapters long. Why am I like this? I wish I knew.
One of my fic-writing missions is to give Steve Rogers the ending he deserves. The MCU did not treat him or his PTSD right--this is well-established in both fandom and a ton of metas more insightful than anything I could ever write on the subject. But where I feel like I maybe can address this a little is in fic. My aim here was to just spoil Steve rotten. To give him the literal world back, in the form of a Bucky who has serious wanderlust. It was also so much fun to play with Doctor Strange and the whole Sanctum Sanctorum stuff, Layla and Marc, Darcy of course, Nat and Sam. The 'love shield' Steve throws up in front of the press was inspired by Harry Windsor's PR move from many moons ago. My favorite part, about this fic, about writing fics in general, is when love just kind of happens to two people who aren't really paying attention, and suddenly it's everything, and they have to conform their lives to this new gorgeous reality. Anyway that's what I'm going for in every fic I write.
This was more talking about myself than any Canadian should do in a month, let alone a day. I need to go lie down. I don't love tagging other authors in these things, but if @burberrycanary, @bluesimplicity73, @musette22, @leveragehunters, or @dontcallmebree haven't done this yet and feel like it, I would love to read your thoughts on your incredible fics. And you, readers, please don't miss any of their tremendous work. Take it from me, their amazing stories (and Zenaida's) keep many a monster at bay when the night is dark and full of terrors. Big love to everyone out there sharing their creative endeavors with the world! <3

I FUCKING LOVE the choice to let us see Nandor trying to make new friends just one week ago because we actually saw how easily people run way from him even when he’s not being a bad person or a prick (the whole penis stuff and harassment in the changing room happened AFTER ALEX STARTED TO AVOID HIM), people run away as fast as they can when he’s just being himself and yes he’s dumb and all but Alexander said it himself Nandor is harmless and lonely and people see that but THEY DECIDED HE ISN’T WORTH THEIR TIME
TRULY NOBODY WANTS TO STAY WITH HIM it takes a few hours for Alexander to decide to not see him again and just look at the whole Gail thing, she comes back from time to time for the sex but wants nothing to do with Nandor in the long term and then there is it.
There is Guillermo.
His closest companion for 13 years, the one who’s always been there, always by his side. Guillermo has been with Nandor for 13 years, has seen his bad days, his crisis, has seen the monster and all his flaws and. he . decided. to stay. Guillermo was the one who made Nandor feel seen, maybe even worthy. Until Guillermo wasn’t there anymore. Until he left Nandor waiting for him at Penn Station.
Guillermo didn’t show up and Nandor had to travel alone, heartbroken. And a year later at the first crisis in the house Nandor’s back again looking for him, for the one that has always saved the day, the one who has always saved Nandor and was there for him when he needed and Guillermo. is . not. there. Again. It’s all coming back. Guillermo is not here. Guillermo is slipping away from him. Guillermo is leaving him, he’s running away as everyone did at last. Guillermo was supposed to be the one. And man if Nandor is about to fucking explode is really this close all the “we’re (‘im) doing fine without you” ALL THE FUCKING BITTERNESS. It’s all coming back to him, all the time spent alone, all the sadness, all the frustation.
Guillermo was supposed to be The One but Guillermo has already betrayed him. He didn’t know yet but Guillermo has betrayed him in the worst way and Laszlo was so right Guillermo’s secret is going to destroy Nandor we’re not fucking ready this is getting real

5 TYPES OF DANIEL BRÜHL CHARACTERS
After watching 40+ of his works, I've noticed the roles that he plays often fall into these five categories...
#1 - because he's German, obviously, a Nazi. The bottom two are a little niche as he plays 'unwanted Nazi admirer'.
#2 - guy you can take home to meet your parents. He's played way too many of these—it's a given with that beautiful baby face—but these would be my top five. Bottom layer gets extra points for being a good friend to the elderly.
#3 - opposite that is the guy your parents warned you about. It seems Daniel has a lot of fun playing these, especially the top layer, which leans on the love-to-hate category. I can't tell if it's just my distaste for The Face of an Angel, but I also considered adding Thomas Lang. Could be why Chris in Cargo made it here as well... because what even was that movie.
#4 - now we have 'man in way above his head by the situation his political ideologies have gotten him into'. You almost always need a trigger warning for the films these characters are in as they will absolutely gut you. They're often based on real people and events. So you will learn something about history while Daniel gets tortured into a pulp.
#5 - and finally, 'expert in his field, kind of an asshole, but hella breedable'. Most of my favorite characters are in this category... I don't know what that says about me.
Is it cheating to place Zemo a second time? I don't care. He feels like an entirely different character.

What I loved about WWDITS S5 Episode 4 (SPOILERS!!!):
Sean has over 9 DUIs
“Robby Robinson”
The high five/fist bump combo
Nandor wanting Guillermo to ogle him at the gym
Nandor saying “very cool” to Alexander being Jewish
(Also having a Jewish character in general)
“Meshugas - that means stuff” (ps to gentiles, this is not a correct statement)
“Kibitzing” I love Nandor so much but he’s getting it so wrong
Was not expecting to talk about this but fair warning I will be talking about every Jewish mention in this episode I’m starved for content
“We are mishpocha”
Nice to know someone thought positively of us back then
“I had no idea there were Jews in New York City” I can’t
“Kvelling” Nandor please
“Quit your kvetching” that’s- that’s actually correct
Collin Robinson not caring about being comptroller but just wanting to drain everyone
Evie!
Colin Robinson quoting romantic movies
Nadja’s actually working!
Laszlo trying so hard to get on the antipaxon’s good side but being terrible at it
“He seemed harmless and kinda lonely” lmao
Colin Robinsons feeding off people by dropping his cards
The fact that the livestream of the debate is 5 and a half hours
Colin Robinson letting Evie come in and feast with him
The two of them still annoying/feeding while being kidnapped
There’s a supreme council of energy vampires???
Said council being just as horrible as them
Colin Robinson and Evie being in awe at how good they are
“Does this fill me with a crippling sense of self doubt? Sometimes” poor guy just wanted a friend now that Guillermo’s not spending all his time with him
Is- is Nandor trying to convert???
“All hail bureaucracy”
Colin Robinson still having to sabotage himself because he just can’t do it
“Twins”
The fact that apparently Nandor’s foreskin grew back very fast
“Now he thinks I’m meshugana, which means he thinks I’m a little bit of a putz”
“I can speak 14 languages, as long as they are English”
The fact that the antipaxons all think Laszlo is the reincarnation of some oaf that brings “good luck and good fortune to everyone”
Evie running for comptroller instead
Nandor telling Guillermo to “shut the fuck up” during the movie when he couldn’t shut up earlier

name: alexander “alex” perry (no relation to katy perry)
age: 32
birthday: january 22
zodiac: aqua sun, libra moon, virgo rising
place of birth: minneapolis, minnesota
occupation: architect
neighborhood: asbury bay
mbti: infp
pinterest
this is alex and he is the most beige human you could ever imagine.
he is THAT guy who considers “meal prepping” an extreme sport.
bio:
he’s from minnesota, which is like just a giant icy wasteland filled with nice, boring people who think a wild night is a trip to ikea (maybe that's what shaped his taste in interior design but we will get into that soon). his father frank is a civil engineer. his mother susan is an english teacher. he has a younger sister named amelia, who recently graduated from college. his parents' whole philosophy is hard work and practicality, which is just code for “let’s suck all the fun out of life.”
alex's dad richard was raised uber christian in small-town in lexington nebraska, but everything changed when he went to college. cue the culture shock: he met new people, encountered different ideas, and quickly realized the world wasn’t quite like the way he was told in his little church. he met susan, a free-spirited liberal who basically turned his worldview upside down. when they decided to get married, as you can guess, richard's family did not take that well and all hell broke loose. his family basically went all 'THIS IS THE FUTURE THE LIBERALS WANT!!!' route ofc.
because of this divine union, his dad has been banished from the good ol' conservative family circle. they probably think he’s gone to the dark side. he only keeps in touch with one of his cousins. (the one happens to be the father of alex's quirky cousin andrew. and andrew is a chaotic entrepreneur, who lives in silicon valley).
he is also cousins with miss dakota @dakota-perry
so it's safe to say they don't spend much time with his father's siblings. the Perry fam only visits them during holidays.....
little alex was the type who actually did his homework on time and actually got excited about things like mowing the lawn. so it wasn't a surprise when he graduated top of his class and got a scholarship to mit. he studied architecture because.... well, bc he had no other hobbies. and i guess alex wanting to become an architect ever since he was a middle schooler played a role in that decision too.....
he aced his courses, probably wearing one of those dreadful beige cardigans, and designed buildings that weren’t about to fall anytime soon. in MIT he was the one who did all the work in a group project while everyone else was off having a good time. not because he was a control freak, it's bc he actually loved architecture. nothing got his blood pumping like a well-drafted blueprint. and as you can guess, he wasn't exactly fending off crowds of admirers with his passion for structural integrity lsfkslafkalsf
alex in a group project:
after mit, he moved to new york cityyyyyyyyyyy (pls read that with laszlo's voice). he got a job at an architecture firm called thompson & rivera architects, a mid-sized firm with just the right amount of prestige without the snobbery. he had a little apartment in hell's kitchen. his place looked like someone took an ikea catalog, sucked out all the personality, and called it home. minimalist to the point of tragedy, with a potted plant that only survived because it couldn’t be bothered to die.
alex didn’t just wake up and decide to move to asbury for the fun of it(that would be far too spontaneous for the practical prince). his design firm, landed a new project: a modern, trendy boutique hotel in town. he was picked as one of the junior architects to join the senior architects in overseeing the project. he’s not the lead designer OBVIOUSLY, but he's definitely in the inner circle, making sure everything’s structurally correct.
personality:
alex is awfully practical, grounded, and a bit of a perfectionist. and he justifies this by saying "i’m not being picky, i’m being precise". alex's idea of a VERY WILD night would be marie kondo-ing his collection of architectural books and magazines. despite his boring demeanor, he actually has a sense of humor and SURPRISINGLY he can take a joke. to mingle with the local folks, he joined the local bowling team. tbh he’s not the most outgoing person, but he values deep, meaningful relationships over casual friendships. once he is your friend, that means it's going to last forever.
outside of work alex enjoys cycling. (actually a little bit too much, he is cycling around as if he is training for tour de france). and then there’s his cooking obsession. during quarantine, he got into cooking and suddenly became that person who binged every jamie oliver video in existence. next thing you know, he be baking his own sourdough.
well, he has 'mild' ocd. and when I say mild, that's actually an understatement. he is very particular when it comes to organizing his workspace—everything has its place, and he gets mildly irritated if someone moves his things. he’s known to be a bit of a coffee snob, always in search of the perfect cup, and can be annoyingly particular about his brew (as someone who does not know shit about the coffee, I wonder how am i gonna write about this little quirk but we shall see).
OH OH OH ALSO HE IS A HUGE FAN OF THE KILLERS
connection ideas
cycling buddy: soo this dumbass is in a cycling group called "the pedal -pushers," (so original, i know). the group is full of people who take their biking way too seriously. their conversations are not the most entertaining to be honest, such as the best tire pressure or which helmet brand is the best. alex usually shows up in full cycling gear, complete with a helmet with green reflective stripes. that was his way of celebrating the brat summer.
barista (friend or nemesis depending how much they can tolerate alex): a local barista and fellow coffee enthusiast who shares his love for a perfect cup of coffee. orrr simply hating him because he always finds some fault in his coffee.
bowling team / squad: he also recently joined a bowling team. i'd love to discuss the team name and its details, so feel free to hmuuuuu
