AFL Top 100: Western Bulldogs
Two players traded in, one traded out and one retired. All the other ‘ins’ are recruits and all the other ‘outs’ were delisted, so not a big change to the list of players to represent the Bulldogs in 2024. However, Ins and Outs don’t always tell the full story. Sam Darcy, after an injury riddled 2023 currently is fit and well and could almost be counted as a new ‘in’ whereas Alex Keath is…

Flu delays Western Bulldog Tim English's AFL return from hamstring injury
Flu delays Western Bulldog Tim English’s AFL return from hamstring injury
A bout of flu has pushed gun ruckman Tim English’s return back another week, while the Western Bulldogs expect Lachie Hunter’s return at the AFL club within a month. Defender Alex Keath will face Collingwood after five weeks out with a hamstring injury, while skipper Marcus Bontempelli is back after being managed. But English, who missed three weeks with a hamstring injury, won’t face a…

AFL: Dogs’ days: Which side is better – 2016 or 2021?
Murphy is right with the grand final spine of Joel Hamling, Fletcher Roberts, Tom Liberatore, Tom Boyd (who shared ruck duties with Jordan Roughead) and Liam Picken even more unconventional than last week’s spine, Ryan Gardner (who is now out injured), Alex Keath, Tom Liberatore, Bruce and Aaron Naughton. At the core of both line-ups is the midfield with the premiership list’s handball club…

Veteran Crow cops one-match ban for Zach whack
ADELAIDE veteran Richard Douglas looks set to miss the Grand Final reply against Richmond courtesy of the AFL's Match Review Officer. The 30-year-old has been offered a one-match ban by Michael Christian for engaging in rough play against Essendon in the season-opening 12-point loss to the Bombers at Etihad Stadium on Friday night. The Crows have until 11.00am (AEDT) on Monday to decide if they will challenge the ban. Douglas was always going to be risking a stint on the sidelines after electing to bump Merrett, who left the ground immediately and missed the remainder of the match with concussion.
ESSENDON young gun Zach Merrett lay concussed after being on the receiving end of a bump from Adelaide veteran Richard Douglas. The injury-ravaged Crows held a 20-point lead at three-quarter time before being overrun by the Dons. Adelaide were missing five players from last year's premiership decider in captain Taylor Walker, Brad Crouch, Tom Lynch, Riley Knight and Andy Otten through injury, while Brodie Smith, Sam Gibson and Alex Keath could also not be considered. Meanwhile, Essendon's Brendon Goddard can accept a $1,000 sanction for careless contact with umpire Ray Chamberlain. There were no charges laid from the season-opener between Richmond and Carlton at the Melbourne Cricket Ground on Thursday night. Read the full article

Repost, not reblog! Tag 6 muns you would like to get to know better when done!
Name: Caine-Alexander Nickname: Caine, Alex, Cross, Crossface, Sir arsehole, King of the douchebags, Master Age: 23 Faceclaim: Don’t have one. It used to be Shuichi from Gravitation. Pronouns: He/him Height: 5′8″ Birthday: July 3rd Aesthetic: Dragons, the moon idk Last song you listened to: The tales of Zestiria opening
Favourite muse(s) you’ve written: Probably Cross? At least of my canon muses. If we’re talking about OCs I’ll have to say Vanya over at @vaillant-coeur. I used to rp in swedish before I found tumblr. I have a couple of muses I loved to play. Their names are Marilyn, Will, Ryan and Keath. I have a blog here on tumblr for them, but I don’t get on it much.
What inspired you to take on your current muse (that you are posting this on): It started with me actually cosplaying Cross. We had a small group of DGM cosplayers on a con in Sweden and we had fun. I talked with several of those people and we analyzed the characters we were cosplaying in depth. It wasn’t until the lovely @ask-allen-walker-chan showed me another ask blog of theirs that I found tumblr. The roleplaying site I used to be on had shut down, so I thought I’d give tumblr a shot. This is my first blog here.
What are your favourite aspects of your current muse: The fact that on the outside Cross is an alcoholic bastard that wants nothing more in life than to drink expensive wine with a beautiful woman by his side, but on the inside he’s so much more. It shows through this facade he’s put up. The man carries a lot of baggage.
What’s your biggest inspiration when it comes to writing: I don’t know. I close my eyes and I imagine the scenario. I paint the scene in my head and play it like a movie.
Favourite types of threads: Angst. I am a sucker for angst. I enjoy other types of threads too, but I tend to get bored if nothing really happens for long periods of time. When that happens I usually manage to turn things into angst.
Biggest struggle in regards to your current muse: The sexual bits. While smut is fun and I want to write it, I’m horrible with it. I get terribly awkward and sometimes put entire threads that I love off, only because of the smut.

ROOKIES TO LOOK FOR IN ROUND 1:
Matthew Eagles (DEF) $123,900 With 11 intercept marks, and 16 possessions in an impressive display for Brisbane in the NEAFL Grand Final against Sydney, he earned a new contract at Brisbane. He’s still a Category B rookie, but with Sam Skinner rupturing his ACL, he’ll likely earn an upgrade and play early if his finals form continues.
Sam Murray (DEF) $123,900 Magpies traded for his guy, so they must have a plan right? His run off half back for the Swans in the NEAFL is a standout in his game, and the Magpies will be likely to utilise him.
James Worpel (MID) 117,300 Averaged 102 at Under-18s level, and 105 at TAC Cup Level. With an AFL ready body, his inside game is just what the hawks need to take the pressure off Tom Mitchell.
Jack Higgins (FWD/MID) $130,800 Ranked by Champion Data as one the best player in the draft, with an average of 145, he should find his way into the Tigers team early. With Daniel Rioli likely unavailable for Round 1, he’s a ready made replacement.
Liam Ryan (FWD) $117,300 Excitement machine that should line-up for the Eagles early, as they begin to search for the best forward mix. Averaged 92 in the WAFL in 2017.
Bayley Fritsch (FWD) $117,300 With Jack Watts going to Port Adelaide, Fritsch, who kicked 42 goals in the VFL in 2017, could fill the hole that Watts left behind. A third forward type with a reliable boot. His endurance is also impressive, with a 21.2 in the Yo-Yo test at the combine.
Tim Kelly (MID) $117,300 Already impressing Geelong coaches with his professionalism, and his ability, he has been singled out as a possible replacement for Steven Motlop. Averaged 118 in the WAFL in 2017.
Tom Doedee (DEF) $123,900 Intercept king in the SANFL has been talked about as Jake Lever’s ready made replacement, will face competition from Alex Keath and Kyle Cheney.

Heartache is making not breaking Crows | Adelaide Now | Brodie Smith
Due to the unfortunate injury to Brodie Smith, several Adelaide players also pushed their cases for senior selection, with pacey wingman Wayne Milera starring and key defender Alex Keath a standout in the backline. Smith left Thursday night's 36-point qualifying final win over Greater Western Sydney in the first quarter and did not return. Pyke said his players' "genuine care" for each other was evidenced in their reaction to stalwarts Sam Jacobs and Brodie Smith last night. Adelaide star Brodie Smith has ruptured his anterior cruciate ligament and will miss the rest of the AFL finals series.

Star’s scary message for AFL rivals
Star’s scary message for AFL rivals
Essendon will enter the finals series with momentum after comfortably defeating the Collingwood Magpies on Sunday afternoon. Peter Wright has given the Western Bulldogs a timely reminder of the huge task that awaits them when they face Essendon in the first elimination final next week. Just a fortnight after tearing the Dogs’ backline to shreds with a spectacular seven-goal performance, Wright…

Sydney Swans pip Adelaide Crows by three points in AFL thriller
Lance Franklin kicked three goals as Sydney edged out competition leaders Adelaide by just three points to confirm its status as the in-form team of the AFL.
Star forward Franklin was a dominant force, with the Swans prevailing 13.5 (83) to 11.14 (80) in a Friday night thriller at Adelaide Oval.
Franklin and teammate Josh Kennedy (31 disposals, one goal) inspired the Swans’ 11th win in 12 matches – they are now fourth, though Richmond is favoured to steal that spot back by beating Fremantle on Sunday.
The Swans also have a worry with Zak Jones reported for a late bump on Adelaide’s Brad Crouch in the final quarter.
The Crows remain top and assured of an initial home final but were jumped at the start, with the Swans kicking the first four goals – two from Franklin, matched against Adelaide’s fifth-gamer Alex Keath.

Bontempelli eyes return against Pies
Bontempelli eyes return against Pies
Captain Marcus Bontempelli could be one of three big inclusions for the Western Bulldogs in their crunch AFL clash with Collingwood on Friday night. The Bulldogs, struggling at 3-5 after the round-eight defeat to Port Adelaide, are a chance to be bolstered by the return of Bontempelli, Tim English and Alex Keath at Marvel Stadium. The key trio are nearing full fitness and will face tests later…
