Right through you Pt.2
A/N: I am so sorry this took my entirely to long to start writing.
âMom?â You asked, entering your home. âHey honey, how was your day?â She said, closing her book and leaving it on the coach, she walked toward you to give you a hung. âIt was good. Umm, I had a question.â You said, looking up at her. âShoot.â âCan I go to the mall with some friends tomorrow after school, we would walk?â She looks at you and smirk. âIs Ben coming with you?â You rolled your eyes and shock your head. âNo, I told you Ben and I aren't together.â âI never said you were, why are you on the defensive, do you have something to hide, Missy.â She questioned, still not believing you. "Mom come on, can I go?â You asked, trying to change the subject a bit. âSure, but you need to be back before 7.â âYes, thank you.â
The next day at the mall
âSo, have you told your mom yet?â Ben asked as you walked hand in hand. âNo, not yet, but ill do someday.â âWhy don't you want to tell her? Are you maybe ashamed of me? It's fine if you are, I'm not mad.â You looked at him and smiled. âOf course I'm not ashamed of you, I would love for my mom to meet you.â You said, giving him a quick kiss on his lips. âIt's just that my mom is extremely protective, it's a little intense sometimes. Especially my aunt, oh my god if she meets you, she will interrogate you for at least 3h hours.â He laughs and shock his hand in disbelief. âI'm sure, it's not that bad.â âIt is, it really is, but ill tell her eventually.â
You guys continued to walk around the mall and visits some stores for a few hours. When you got back home, you say Kara waiting for you on the couch. âSo, how was your activity with Ben.â She said with a smirk. âAre you ever going to give up, I'm not with Ben.â "Yeah, right." She said and got up from the couch and she showed you her phone, there was a picture of you and Ben on a bench, you had your head on his shoulder. You were stunned for a second.
How did she get that picture? âHow did you get that. Did you follow me there?â âI actually didn't, but I have spies working for me. But don't change the subject, do you have something to say to me.â âNo because this picture doesn't prove anything, we're just good friends.â Your mom smiled again, you swipe to the next image, this time you were kissing on that same bench. âYeah, excellent friends.â You were about to defense yourself again but decided against it, you sight. âFine, we're together, we have been together for like a month now.â âI knew it, why didn't you want to tell me?â You looked at her and chuckled. âYou really don't have an idea?â she shook her head. âYou are intense when it comes to people I see.â âNo, I am not.â You raised an eyebrow. âRemember Kyle? You and Alex interrogate him for like 10 minutes.â âWe just wanted to make sure he was good for you, I want nothing but the best for you.â She said, hugging you.â
âI know mom.â You said, hugging her back. âBut you're going to have to tone it down because he really wants to come over this weekend and I don't want you to freak him out.â âOh he's coming over great ok. And yes, I will try to tone it down.â She said, âthank you.â
Honestly you should've known she'd never tone it down, in fact she didn't try to.

Would it really kill you if we kissed? Part 2
Supergirl. Baby Danvers. Kara Danvers x B!D!Reader, Alex Danvers x B!D!Reader, Lena Luthor x Reader, Esmé Danvers
Word Count: 3010
Previously on part 1. Part 2 of 3.
You start spending more time with EsmĂ©, filling your days with her endless energy and her excitement over everything new on this island. Youâd planned on being here for the family time anyway, but lately, itâs become easier to dodge Karaâs concerned glances and Lenaâs quiet observations. EsmĂ©, at least, never asks questions youâre not ready to answer.
It doesnât stop Kara from trying, though. You find yourself slipping out of family dinners early, ducking behind palm trees when you spot her coming your way, feigning sleep when she knocks on your door at night. You know itâs getting obviousâKaraâs face fell when you bailed on last nightâs dinner, and Alexâs knowing sigh was almost loud enough to break through the silence youâve wrapped around yourself. But would they even understand if you told them?
EsmĂ©âs simpler. When youâre with her, itâs just fun, silly games and laughter that doesnât get weighed down by questions. For now, you let yourself hide behind that. That is until EsmĂ© notices, of course. Kids always do, with that unfiltered clarity adults forget to keep.
It catches you by surprise when the two of you are building sandcastles, the sun heavy and warm, and she says, âI miss hanging out with Aunt Kara and Aunt Lena together. You know, like⊠like we used to.â
You tense, your hands pausing mid-sculpt. âTheyâre busy with grown-up stuff. It happens.â
EsmĂ© gives you a look, so knowing itâs almost painful. âYouâre a bad liar.â
You sigh, brushing sand from your fingers. âI guess I am.â
âIs it because of that thing you can't tell Aunt Kara, but you can tell my mom?â
It takes you by surprise, the perceptiveness of it, the way sheâs pinpointed exactly whatâs unraveling between you and your sisters without even understanding why. You swallow, forcing a smile that doesnât reach your eyes. âSort of.â
âI wish I had a sister. If I did, I'd tell her everything! And she would be my best friend!â
"Well, your mom is my best friend and she is my sister too."
She spares a look over her shoulder, to Kara on the other side of the beach swimming alone in the ocean. "I bet Aunt Kara feels lonely."
Itâs⊠whoa. A lot more insightful than you'd expect from a six-year-old.
Karaâs attempts to reach you havenât gone unnoticed. Sheâs patient, but only for so long, and itâs clear to everyone around you that youâre holding her at armâs length. But what's worse is that you avoid Alex too, because you don't wanna tell her what happened. She's gonna tell you that you missed your chance to come clean, which is obvious and yet extremely unhelpful.Â
Itâs so evident you're keeping your distance, that when Lena finds you sneaking behind a bush one evening, she doesnât even act surprised.
"Hey!" Lenaâs voice makes you jump, her warm presence somehow amplifying your guilt. "Why are you hiding behind a bush? And why does it feel like I haven't seen you in days?"
"What? It hasn't been days." It has. She raises her eyebrows, and you smooth your hands over your clothes. "I thought I saw a hedgehog," you lie, forcing a smile. She doesnât look convinced. "What are you up to?"
"I thought you and I could go on a walk," she says, her smile soft, irresistible. Youâre about to argue, but she throws a cheap shot. "You know, you did promise me some alone time."
"Did I?" You try a joke, but, as with the last few attempts, it doesnât quite land with her.
"You donât have to come if you're more interested in the hedgehog. I could probably hold my own against the wild animals in the forest."
"Yeah, Iâm sure you can, but Iâd hate to miss you fighting a snake, so I might as well tag along. Wouldnât want to miss the show."
"Very kind of you, darling." Lenaâs eyes light up with humor, and the two of you start toward the nearest forest trail. Itâs close to the resortâtoo close for any real wildlife, which is probably the point.
The conversation is supposed to be casual, just friends catching up. She asks about your thesis, even a few things about your superhero life. But as relaxed as it should be, you canât shake the tension simmering beneath the surface. Every laugh, every shared glance, every tiny silence, and youâre swallowing feelings, nearly choking on unsaid words. Your heartbeat drums in your ears, terrified that one slip-up could give everything away.
"Kara is so thrilled to have you to share these experiences with. I bet itâs lonely, having to figure out this superhero lifestyle on your own."
"I donât think Iâm helping that much, to be honest. Iâm just⊠following her lead most of the time."
"I think you're more important than you give yourself credit for." Lena touches your arm, her eyes soft and unwavering, making it impossible to shrug it off. "For everyone, not just Kara."
âOh, yeah. Sure.â You mutter the words with such disbelief that Lena almost flinches.
She doesnât let it go, though. She stops, making you pause too, her expression puzzled but determined.
"Y/N, darling." Just one wordâdarlingâand your heart is pounding, each beat a tiny betrayal. "You know I mean it, right? We wouldnât miss hanging out with you so much if you werenâtâ"
"So fun to have around!" you cut in, your voice unnaturally bright.
Lena reaches for your hand, her gaze softening in a way that makes it impossible to hide. "If you werenât so incredibly special."
This is itâthe moment you could be honest, vulnerable, bare open like she is. But Kara might be in love with her. And sheâs probably in love with your sister too, because who would choose you over Kara? No one. Not even you.
So you bite your tongue, force a smile, and watch the moment slip past. âYeah, IâI donât know. Maybe the superhero life just isnât for me.â
âOh.â Lena blinks, visibly thrown, and when you realize what youâve just said, itâs too late. Canât take it back. Youâve tried so hard to hide how you feel about her, you didnât even think about the other secrets you need to protect.
âNot that Iâll stop!â you rush to reassure her. âIâd never stop supering and leave Kara to it. I just⊠wonder, sometimes. But, um, everyone wonders about things theyâll never act on, right?â
You can feel Lenaâs gaze linger on you as you stumble through your words. Her silence feels weighty, loaded with questions she doesnât voice. Instead, sheâs watching you with that careful, gentle look she hasâthe one that makes you feel like she can see straight through every defense youâre barely managing to hold up.
âY/N,â Her voice is low, softer than usual, and you can tell sheâs choosing her words carefully. âIf you ever feel like talking⊠Really talking, I meanâIâll listen, you know that, right?â
You breathe deep, trying to keep your expression neutral, but the way sheâs looking is too much; sheâs seeing right through you, and every instinct you have screams to deflect, to put distance between you and that sharp, all-seeing gaze.
âI know, Lena. I justââ You pause, forcing the words clawing up your throat back down, swallowing hard against the sting of tears that threaten to break free. âI donât have much to say right now, but⊠thank you.â
Her fingers brush down your arm slowly, lingering for a split second before letting go. She doesnât push, but thereâs something in her eyes, something searching, that leaves you feeling bare. Sheâs not fooled, you know that. But she doesnât press further, only offers a soft nod.
âI just want to make sure you know that youâre not alone.â Her voice is so gentle, it makes your throat tighten.
Her words land with a bittersweet ache, a reminder of exactly how not alone you actually areâand yet, how impossible it feels to share any of it. You swallow, nodding a little too quickly, desperate to end this before you give yourself away completely.
âI appreciate it,â you mumble, unable to meet her eyes. âAnyway, uh⊠we should head back before it gets dark.â
A tiny smile curves her lips, one filled with patience, and it only makes the weight in your chest feel heavier. She sees through you, sees the things youâre too afraid to say. And as you walk back, her presence beside you is both comforting and unbearable, the knowledge that sheâd listen if you let her like a gentle but relentless pressure against the wall youâre so intent on keeping up.
When you finally reach the resort, you mumble something about needing to freshen up before dinner, ducking away before she can say anything else. But her words stay with you, lingering in the back of your mind: youâre not alone.
Even though you've never felt as lonely and isolated as you do now.
This trip, this whole thing, was a really bad idea.
You throw together your bag in a rush, moving faster than any human eye could see. This trip was supposed to be a break, a chance to breatheâbut with each day, it feels like the land on this tiny island is getting even smaller. Thereâs nowhere left to hide, and the weight of your secrets presses harder, threatening to escape the moment you open your mouth. It almost did with Lena, so you desperately need to leave.
You knock lightly on Alex and Kellyâs door, hoping not to wake EsmĂ©. Itâs late, but Alex answers quickly, slipping out into the hall and shutting the door quietly behind her. She gives you a concerned once-over, her expression softening in that big-sister way.
âWhatâs wrong?â she whispers. âLena said you two hung out before dinner, but then you didnât show upââ
âIâm going back to National City.â You say it quickly, barely letting the words settle before you look away, as if that might make it easier. Alexâs eyes shift down to your bag, and she lets out a long, disappointed sigh.
âYou canât keep running forever, you know.â
âNo, but I can tonight.â You set your jaw, bracing yourself. Alex is going to try to talk you out of this, and you canât let her. âIâll help keep watch over National City with Jâonn and Mâgann. Say goodbye to EsmĂ© for me.â
âAbsolutely not. You want to leave her, you tell her yourself.â She opens the door a fraction, enough for you to glimpse EsmĂ©âs little sneakers by the bed, and you feel something twist painfully in your chest. She knows itâll be harder for you to look EsmĂ© in the eye, to break your promise of a trip full of fun with her favorite aunt. âMan up.â
âSexist,â you mutter, half-heartedly, as you step inside. But before you can call for EsmĂ©, you freeze. Kara is sitting on the floor, her gaze sharpening the moment she sees you.
âYouâre leaving?â She stands up, arms crossed, and in that moment, she doesnât look much like your sisterâshe looks every inch of Supergirl, unyielding. Kelly clears her throat, mumbling something about checking on EsmĂ© before slipping out of the small living room.
âYeah, I have this⊠thing.â
âIs this âthingâ called a massive crush on Lena that youâre too scared to deal with?â Karaâs voice is quiet but piercing, an eyebrow arching as she studies you, making you feel as transparent as glass. âOr is this âthingâ a problem youâve got with me?â
You scoff, rolling your eyes. âOh yeah, I forgot everything has to be about you.â
Before you can get another word out, sheâs right in front of you, moving faster than even you expected.
âItâs becoming about me because you keep dodging me and shutting everyone out,â she says firmly. âYou have to stop running, Y/N. Why won't you deal with your problems like an adult?â
âOh my God! Is there a version of this conversation where you donât sound like my mother?â
âI don't know. Is there a version where you donât sound like a moody teenager?â She fires back, voice sharp as a blade.
"Go to hell, Kara," you mutter, your voice barely above a whisper, knowing full well sheâll catch every word. You try to push past her, but she steps in your way, resolute, daring you to challenge her. Fine. If she wants a fight, youâll give her one.
âStop acting so tough,â you say, each word sharp and unyielding. âYouâre not Alura. Youâre not Eliza. Youâre not even my oldest sister.â You pause, just long enough to let it sink in, to make sure she feels the sting. "You donât get to act like youâre in charge."
Kara flinches, just a fraction, but you catch it. And part of you hates that it hurts herâalmost as much as the rest of you wants it to.
A hand catches your arm as you make to leave, and you know itâs Alex without even looking. Her grip isnât harsh, but itâs inflexible, the quiet authority of someone who knows exactly what theyâre doing.
âThis has gone too far.â she says, her voice low.
âAlex,â you say, a warning lacing your tone. But your sister doesnât budge. Sheâs as immovable as Kara in her own way, and you can tell from her stance that sheâs done letting this slide.
âNo. You tell her now, or I will.â The seriousness in her voice roots you to the spot, and you stare at her in disbelief. âDonât test me, Y/N. This has gone on too long.â
âAlex,â you plead, the warning fading, replaced by something that feels like betrayal. âI trusted you.â
But Alexâs stance only hardens. She glances at Kara, crossing her arms in front of her chest, each movement deliberate, telling you in no uncertain terms that this is the line she wonât let you cross.
âYou want to know whatâs going on?â your voice comes out loud, it's almost a yell in the quiet of the night, voice cracking as you throw the question back at them, your fists clenched so tight theyâre shaking. âFine. Letâs do this. You want honesty? Here it is.â
Kara and Alex fall silent, but theyâre staring, eyes wide. You canât tell if they're surprised or concerned, and for once, you donât care.
âIâm in love with Lena,â you spit out, practically choking on the words. âThere it is. Happy? But it doesnât matter, because sheâs yours, Kara. Everyone is. Everyone who matters, everyone I could ever care about, theyâre all yours.â
âI don'tââ Kara starts, but youâre not finished. Not even close.
âDonât!â you snap, cutting her off. âYou have no idea what itâs like to be around you, day after day, having to act like it doesnât kill me. Watching you looking at her like⊠Like I do. And I justââ Your voice wobbles, a tremor of frustration bubbling up with the tears youâre fighting to keep down. âI just get to stand there and smile and play the part of your perfect little sister, like I should just be grateful to even be a part of your story.â
Alex takes a step toward you, hands up, but you move away, barely holding it together, so you don't hurt her. âDo you know how exhausting it is? How much do I dread putting on the suit, being the hero, pretending this is all I ever wanted? Because itâs not. Itâs never been. I hate it," your voice comes out so raw, your throat hurts afterwards. "and I canât even tell anyone that because youâd all look at me like Iâd failed you. Both of you would.â
Alex steps back the slightest, her face twisted in a mix of surprise and sadness. Kara looks stricken, her mouth parting like she wants to say something, but you donât give her the chance. Youâre too far gone, the anger pushing past your better judgment.
âYou get to be perfect, and I get to be⊠what? The second-rate version of you? The one whoâs not quite as brave, not quite as good?â You only realize you're crying when you taste your own tears. âThe one people don't even glance at because they are too busy looking at you â the super girl. And now you want me to watch you with the person I love too? You just get to take everything.â
"That's not true! None of it isâ" Kara reaches out, but you take a step back, hands up like itâs a shield.Â
âYou don't get it! So donâtâjust don't.â
Her expression crumples, and for the first time, you see the real hurt reflected back at you. But the ache inside you is too loud, too sharp to ignore. A small part of you feels vindicated, glad that sheâs hurting tooâat least now youâre not the only one carrying the weight of pain.
You turn away, ready to escape the suffocating atmosphere, but Alexâs voice cuts through the tension, pulling you back.
"Y/N, wait." Alex tries, voice sweet like you didn't even know she could master. "Let's all take a breath and just⊠talk about it."
"Oh no," You turn to her. "you don't get to do this. I trusted you with this, and you justââ You canât find the words, the tears breaking free, your voice shaking. "You just chose Kara over me. Like everyone does. So you don't get to ask me for anything." The next words leave from the depths of your core, it shakes the entire room. "NONE OF YOU get to ask me for ANYTHING!"Â
Sometimes hours can feel like minutes, and sometimes a single second can last a lifetime. "I'm done pretending we're one big happy family." This is it. This is that second. The second you burned every bridge, every connection you've had and flew away from it.

The rules:
No characters who eventually become Legends.
No characters borrowed from another Arrowverse show.
Because we all know this would come down to John Constantine vs. Alex Danvers and while that is fun, it's not the point of this poll.
There must be some kissing at the very least.

Another piercing wail cut through Lenaâs skull and almost sent her reeling to the floor. Her teeth ached from grinding and her hands stung from the process of boiling bottles. Yet, she steadfastly refused to hand off this duty to someone else. When she and Kara decided to try for a child, Lena began grooming Sam to take her place as CEO and created a researcher emeritus position for her in the advanced projects department. That was taken care of.
What she hadnât anticipated was the weeks without sleep. Little Jeremiah had a set of lungs on him, and the slightest provocation set him wailing. Kara had offered to leave CatCo and take care of him full time, but Lena insisted they care for their son equally, no matter how chivalrous and selfless Kara wanted to be.
It was more than that. Lena was never going to be a stay at home mom, but she would be damned if she was going to be an absentee mother. Sheâd be there for every school concert, every field trip, every precious moment and sheâd bury him in love.
She just had to get through this first.
He didnât need a fresh diaper. Heâd been fed and burped. He didnât seem to be tired. He just kept wailing. Lena was at her witâs end, tears welling in her eyes. She was about to call Alex and beg for help when she heard the door close and Kara calling her name.
âYouâre supposed to be at work,â Lena protested, as Kara stormed into the kitchen.
Her wife was on a mission. Kara didnât ask any patronizing questions- she knew Lena was doing her damndest to be the worldâs greatest mom. She simply swept behind the kitchen island and wrapped mother and son in a gentle hug, surrounding their son in the presence of his parents.
Kara closed her eyes, gently rested her chin on the top of Lenaâs head, and tucked them both into a hug. Lena knew what was coming next and let it sweep over her. The low rumble in Karaâs chest quivered in her bones as her wife began to purr.
The effect was instantaneous. Jeremiahâs cries softened and turned into soft gurgling sounds as he squirmed in Lenaâs arms slightly and relaxed, the tension easing out of his tiny muscles.
âHold onto him.â
Kara scooped them both up with ease, cradling Lena on her arms as she had so many times before, and she was once again reminded that being held by Kara Danvers was like being held by a castle. Kara bore them both gently into the bedroom and lowered Lena to the bed, then kicked off her shoes and joined them, the deep vibrations still emanating from her chest.
âYouâre supposed to be at work for another two hours.â
âNot until youâve had a nap,â said Kara. âIâll take him and then I can go back when you wake up. I can tell youâre exhausted, zhao.â
âCan we just stay like this a little longer?â Lena whispered.
Kara pressed a soft kiss to Lenaâs forehead and smiled against her skin.

Why?
a/n: I wrote it in thirty minutes to force my ass back into writing, sorry if it feels disturbing and incomplete...
*not my GIF*
Pairing: Kara Danvers x Fem!reader
Summary: Kara try to understand how you became like this
Type: disturbing? angst
Warning: no power-au, kidnapping, drugged Kara and creepy reader
word count: ~1300
It's from Kara's POV
Why did it seem so real? Why couldn't I get rid of the feeling of her hands on me? She was so perfect, yet she was full of flaws. It was impossible for me to remember why I fell for her. Maybe it was her eyes the first time she looked at me. Maybe it was her voice when she talked to me. Or even her hair (god, I love her hair). And her cute face too. She was full of qualities. At least until this thing started between us.
Everything started like any other relationship. I was mesmerised by her look and her personality, so I decided to ask her out. She gladly accepted, and it was like she had waited for a long time. It was a little weird, but I let it slide.
Then one date became two, then three, and much more. Three months later, we were officially formalising our relationship after we had good sex at her place. She was caring, lovely, and never pushed me more than necessary. So when did everything start to go insane?
Well, actually, I already knew the answer. It was a random Wednesday; we were out for a date, and then we met my friend Lena. Thatâs when I noticed that she became weird. Her behaviour towards Lena was a little aggressive. I decided not to really question that because I thought that it was just some misplaced jealous act. But then it happened again. Did it really happen more, or did I just start to notice her true self from this moment?
After Lena, she acted weird, even around my family. It was something that my sister, Alex, tried to talk to me about. But at this time, I was too enamoured by her to even notice that her worries were justified. I meant, my mom loved her, and for me, it was enough.Â
She was making me happy. She treated me like a princess, always caring, making love with pure love in every act, and she put even more affection in the aftercare. It seemed like I was always her priority, but after some months, I started to find it a little weird too.
Of course, I talked to her about how she was slowly babying me and how it started to annoy me, but I still reminded her that I still loved her. For me, it was not a big deal, but it was a discussion that we needed to have. To her, otherwise, it wasâŠheartbreaking? At least that was what she said between her sobs. She cried that day because I told her that I could take care of myself?
I found it weird, and I talked about it with Alex and Lena. They agreed on something: I should start to let her go. Leave her before she took total control of my mind. They seemed to notice how everything would go, but they didnât want to scare me, I guess. But for me, nothing could go wrong: it was Y/n, the same lovely and caring woman I met that day. Or maybe it was what I said to myself because I was afraid that they might be right.
Despite our conversations, she still acted like usual. Never leaving my side until it was needed. Always trying to take care of me, even if I could do things on my own. She was slowly transforming me into her little doll. After some weeks, she started to choose how I would dress when we had a date, and before it could go too far, I decided to step in.
I remember that we had a huge argument about how she was suffocating me. But like usual, she started to cry. If I wasn't so angry, maybe I would fall for that, but not this day. I grabbed my keys and left with the promise to come back only when she would be more mature and responsible enough to talk like proper adults. That day I drove to Alexâs house, and then I explained everything to her and how it started to be suffocating and scary to live with Y/n. The night I slept in the spare bedroom, even if I was still angry with Y/n, I couldnât help but miss her. I was still in love after all.
Then a week passed, and she finally texted me, saying that she took some time and that she was finally ready to talk about it. Even if something in me screamed to stay away from her, I still needed to come back to her apartment to at least take some clothes if I had to stay longer at my sister's.
Surprisingly, for me, she seemed to have some stain of tears on her cheeks when she opened the door. She guided me to the couch and brought two cups of tea. I took a sip, and then we both started to talk. But less than five minutes later, I felt myself becoming more and more tired. I called her name just before collapsing on the couch.
Now there I was, somewhere far from home, chained to a bed in a bedroom that I didnât recognise.Â
âOh, finally, youâre awake. I started to think that I put too much drug in your cup.â There she was, with a creepy smile on her face. It was the first time that I saw her like that. âI know you should have a lot of questions right now, and I will answer them, but before thatâŠâ She climbed in her bed next to me and immediately cuddled with my body as if her life depended; she inhaled my scent and left a sloppy kiss on my neck. âI missed that. I missed you.â
I tried to scream, but I noticed that any attempt was shut off by a cloth she put in my mouth. âOh, sorry, I almost forgot that.â She said before freeing my mouth.
âGet out of me you psycho bitch!â I yelled while trying to get rid of the bed. She just ignored me and kept her face pressed against my chest. âY/n, I donât know what type of shit youâre doing right now, but you need to back off and let me go.â
âWhy? So you can leave me again?â She snapped for the first time since I knew her. âSorry to yell, but you need to understand that I canât let you go, Kara. I love you, and I know you do too. Youâre just getting corrupted by your sister and Lena. But itâs okay; these bitches will not be able to mess with you anymore. Itâs just you and me against the world.â Her sweet tone made shivers run through my entire body.
âWhat do you mean, Y/n?â I asked.
She raised her head and looked at me with a wide smile. âThey will never find us; I mean, we left the country a few days from now.â
âWhat do you mean, Y/n? Where are we?â I asked, more panicked.
âGreece. I told you that my dad had a house here, and he was more than happy to let us live there from now.â From her facial expression, it was not a lie, which meant that I couldnât go back home? No, itâs impossible. I had a whole life back in the US.
Seeing the tears running down on my cheeks, a wide smile appeared on her face. âItâs okay, Kara. Iâm here, and I will not leave you.â I wanted to throw up, scream, and maybe punch her, but I couldn't do anything about that. I couldnât stop crying.
âI know that the change can be weird at first, but itâs okay, I will help you with that. I will never leave your side.â She pressed her lips against my cheeks.
Why everything was happening to me? Why did it have to be me? She was so lovely, and so caring, I started to dream about a future with her. Why did she need to ruin everything?

Kara had been juggling so many duties over the last few days, it had really started to feel like she had a secret identity all over again. Her fingers had been a constant blur across her phone screen, so much that sheâd jumped into several meetings without knowing what they were even about or â for that matter â that she had meant to have been leading them. She could have gotten away with that as Kara Danvers, but people tended to notice when Kara Zor-El got distracted - probably because it usually meant an Earth-wide threat was imminent.
Sheâd already had to reassure five separate co-workers that wasnât the case, even going as far as cutting her final editorial meeting thirty minutes short so that everyone could start their Fridays early. Maybe that just made them more suspicious of her, but she was running out of time. Alex had already sent her three warning texts:
Carâs packed up, where are you?
Donât make me call a DEO emergency just to get your butt out of there!
âđđ» ???
Kara rolled her eyes, catching her tongue between her teeth as she scanned the most recent notification. She sent a quick âOMWâ before slinging her bag across her shoulder.
She was halfway out the office door when a voice stopped her in her tracks.
âSo, any plans this weekend?â
Kara froze.
Cat Grant usually spent her Friday afternoons lamenting all the charity dinners and extracurriculars sheâd be forced to attend while Kara nodded along with a well-practiced sympathetic grimace locked in place. Sheâd long since accepted this as a one-sided expectation. After all, Cat didnât really do small talk. Call it the journalistic disposition, but no question of hers ever came without intention.
Sheâd posed this particular question with an expectant air, her fingers loosely linked beneath her chin as she watched Kara with cat-like patience from behind her desk.
Kara took a shallow breath, knowing already what those piercing eyes were trying to gauge. âActually,â she said, treading carefully, âIâm out of town this weekend. Iâm visiting my adoptive mom with my sister.â
Catâs lips twitched with something predatory. She lifted her chin, snatching up a pen from her desk so that she could play idly with the clicker. Every click was as intentional as her question, drilling deep into Karaâs skull. âAh,â she said, nodding slowly, âand so I suppose one would assume that there wonât be much Supergirl activity to account for, then?â
Kara laughed, fiddling nervously with the collar of her blouse. âEven Supergirl needs a vacation every once in a while. Youâve seen the figures, crime is at an all-time low, National City can last a weekend without me.â
Cat watched Kara without expression, still clicking out a calculated rhythm. âI suppose,â she conceded lightly. âEspecially with that new DEO division headed by your⊠friend, right? John?â
âJâonn,â Kara corrected.
âYes, yes, thatâs the one.â Cat bit her lip. âWide shoulders.â Her eyes lost focus before she shrugged suddenly, setting down her pen with a prompt snap. âI wonder what heâll be up to.â
âYou know the DEO doesnât give interviews,â Kara reminded her, trying and failing to hide the strain in her voice. âNot even to Supergirl.â
âOf course.â Cat pondered for a moment, cocking her head. âAnd the little green one works there too, doesnât he?â
Kara sighed, the purposeful ignorance wasnât lost on her, just as Cat had intended. She tipped her head back, resigning herself to the conversation. âWhat are you getting at, Ms Grant?â
Cat blinked, perfectly innocent. âJust counting heads. I only wonder if weâll be seeing much of your Super Friends over the next few days⊠with you out of town, of course.â
Kara pursed her lips, drumming her fingers against the doorframe. âWell, theyâre more than capable of managing themselves without me.â
âSo, we will be seeing them?â
Kara spluttered. Sheâd really stepped into that one. âItâs a big city,â she recovered quickly, âIâm sure thereâll be out there somewhere.â
âInteresting,â Cat said, dragging the word out long enough to make Kara uncomfortable. She hummed to herself, running her index finger delicately over the items on her desk until she found her phone, snatching it up. âI need to make a few calls,â she decided, shooing Kara out of the room with her other hand. âHave fun with yourâmother.â
Kara took that as her cue, making an awkward albeit flustered goodbye as she elbowed her way out the door. She didnât try to listen in on the conversation once she was gone â she didnât need to - Cat had seen through her as plainly as she had her old disguise.
Technically, what Kara had told her wasnât exactly a lie. She would be seeing Eliza this weekend â after all, sheâd been invited to Nia and Brainyâs wedding, too.
It didnât matter, Kara rationalised as she hurried into the elevator, Cat could call on every source she had available to her and she still wouldnât be getting this scoop. No one would. Kara had been incredibly thorough about that, using fake names when it came to bookings, throwing out red herrings to rival news outlets, all to ensure that the media didnât get even one whiff of what was going down. No one was getting a camera into the service on her watch â well, except the photographer, and Kara had already run a series of extensive background checks on her. Â Â
As for general media speculation â well, sheâd already warned the bride and groom to be that there really wasnât much she could do about that. Every magazine in the country was currently building up the clicks with Superhero news and, right now, Dreamer and Brainiac-5 were trending across all channels. Cat certainly hadnât helped with that; sheâd sunk her claws into the story the second Dreamer had first been spotted out toting a Legion ring of her own. To avoid public knowledge of future events, the Legion was something of a forbidden topic when it came to interviews and so, for anyone outside of the loop, Dreamer suddenly wearing a ring matching Brainyâs was certainly turning heads.
Engagement had been thrown around hundreds of times, with other outlets outright claiming that she and Brainy had been married in secret. Nothing had been confirmed or denied by either party, but Kara had to admit itâ you only needed eyes to see the chemistry between those two. They fought as one entity, complimenting each otherâs stances, supporting each other in the field so that they always fell into step with each other. Just last week, Brainy had swept Dreamer into his arms amidst an explosion theyâd narrowly escaped and the shot had been headlining every newspaper not twelve hours later. They were anything but discreet and, honestly, Kara had a hunch they were starting to enjoy all the attention. It certainly made her job as Maid of Honour that much harder.
Hiding this wedding was probably shaving years off her life.
At least it would be worth it when she got to see Nia go down that aisle.
When her phone pinged again with a fourth text from Alex, Kara groaned out loud.
You just lost shotgun privilege.
She just had to get there first.

When you came to, it was slow and arduous. You felt weak, incredibly so, but you felt two weights snuggled by your sides. You groaned, and thatâs when you felt a hand against your cheek.
âHey there, beautiful.â
You smiled and leaned into the touch, knowing instinctively who the hand belonged to.
âBeautiful isnât the description I would give myself this moment,â you groaned.
You blinked your eyes open and focused on Kara, who was watching you with the softest smile that you had ever seen. You watched as she tucked some of her hair behind her ear before she cupped your cheek.
âYou will always be beautiful to me.â
You rolled your eyes and chuckled. âCharmer,â you quipped before you looked around. âWhereâs Angel?â
âRight here.â
You looked down to see her cuddled into your other side, her cheek buried into your neck, and when you saw her, tears came to your eyes. She was here, and she was safe. You leaned down to kiss her hair, sniffling as you tried to hold her closer. Your little girl was safe. And she was so brave.
âShe wouldnât leave your side,â Kara whispered as she ran soft and gentle fingers through her daughterâs hair.
âIf it were me, you would have to pry me away from her, so I understand.â
Kara chuckled and kissed your cheek. âHow do you feel?â
âLike I just got absolutely decimated by a runaway train. How are you?â
âNothing the sun lamp couldnât fix,â she replied.
âHowâs Alex?â
As if on cue, she shuffled into the med bay. She groaned as she held a massive ice pack to her head. Alex didnât say anything. Instead, she walked to a cabinet, opened it, and took out a large bottle of Advil.
âI know it doesnât look like it, but Iâm so happy that youâre awake,â she grumbled.
Alex readjusted the ice pack on her head. âMy head is beating like a goddamn drum.â
âAre you okay??â you asked her.
âItâs a result of the psychic link we had with you and Jâonn. It hit her a little harder,â Kara explained.
âSorry that Iâm not super awesome and have superpowers,â Alex mumbled sarcastically.
âYeah, bummer,â Kara cackled. Alex shook her head.
âBitch,â she said under her breath as she walked out. You watched her pop at least four pills in her mouth before she disappeared from view.
Kara giggled and you stared at the door she left out of. âIâm no doctor but Iâm pretty sure that she took way more than the recommended amount.â
âSheâll chase it down with some wine in about an hour. She has never been one to listen to doctorâs orders.â
That made you laugh. Beside you, Angel stirred awake. She yawned before looking up.
âHey there, beautiful,â you said, and her eyes widened.
âMom!â
She circled her arms around you and hugged you closely. You held her back, your nose buried in her hair.
âHi, babygirl,â you murmured against her skin. âI missed you so much.â
âI missed you too!â
She was full on sobbing now, and you held her closer to you, smiling as she released the emotions that sheâd been holding in for so long.
âYouâre okay, right? Like youâre back to normal?â
âIâm not quite sure. Reign is gone but I have no idea if Iâm me again.â
âActually, I do have an answer for you,â Lena said with a smile as she walked in.
âYeah?â
âThe results from your blood examination came back. You are 100% human. Thereâs no trace of Kryptonian DNA anywhere.â
You breathed a sigh of relief as you sank back into the bed. That was so reassuring to hear. Angel pouted a little though, her eyes crinkling at the sides.
âWhatâs wrong?â you asked her.
âIt would have been kind of cool to have another mom with superpowers. Could you imagine if you and Momma fought bad guys together?â
It was a thought, but you still shook your head. âThereâs no way I would be remotely responsible if I had powers. All it would take would be for someone to cut me off in traffic and then Iâd throw their car off a bridge.â
Angel snorted and Kara frowned. âNo, we donât need that.â
You turned to face Lena. âYou protected my daughter from Reign. You protected her with your life. I donât even know how to thank you.â
Lena smiled softly and held her hands together. She looked away as a slight blush colored her cheeks. âYou donât have to thank me at all.â
You shook your head. âNo, Iâm going to, because had anything happened to her, or you, or anybody else that I care about, I wouldnât even know how to cope. And yet, you put yourself between Reign and her like it was nothing. You could have been hit or worse!â
Lena took your hand and held it tightly. âBut I wasnât, and neither was Angel. Weâre all safe and relatively unscathed. You have nothing to worry about except for you to heal. Weâre all okay and now you should focus on being the same.â
You nodded. Lena waved shyly to Angel and Kara before she took her leave. Everything was silent for a moment as you held your two favorite girls.
âIâm hungry,â you said a moment before your stomach growled.
Kara sat up. âPotstickers? Pizza?â
âAll of it, please.â
Kara chuckled as she gently got up from the bed.
âYes, maâam.â
***
It was two more weeks before you were cleared to leave the DEO. After extensive tests that proved that you were no longer affected by Reign, Jâonn practically pushed you out the door and told you not to come back. All of it was said with a smile on his face, of course. You were back at L-Corp with Angel doing her homework on the desk across from you.
âYouâre okay with being here? It might be an all-nighter.â
Angel shrugged and smiled adorably. âNo, I donât mind. I wish to spend more time with you. Even if weâre not doing anything together, I still want to share a space with you. If thatâs okay.â
You smiled, a bubble of emotion welling in your chest. âOf course, it's okay. Itâs more than okay.â
Angel gave you the widest smile. More time passed when Lena checked in on you. You had to reassure her multiple times that you were more than okay to do this. By comparison, it was infinitely easier to stay at work all night than to be some alien doomsday device for all of mankind on planet Earth. That one made her laugh, and she took her leave after making you promise that you wouldnât overdo yourself. As the time continued to tick on, and the day turned into night, you heard the sound of Karaâs boots landing on the balcony.
âHello, gorgeous,â she said to you as she stepped inside.
Angel was already asleep. With a stomach full of pizza and her homework completed, she snoozed on the couch, and you even tucked her in.
âHello, hello.â
You got up and hugged your wife, your face burrowed into the skin of her neck. She cupped your cheek before leaning down and kissing you deeply. You melted into her, Karaâs lips warm and strong against yours as she continued to hold you close.
âWow, I missed that,â you admitted when she pulled away.
âWell, if you have some more energy later tonight, I would be more than happy to oblige. Maybe more kisses, or maybe something much more.â
You went to respond when Angel dry heaved.
âThatâs so freaking gross.â
You chuckled and held Kara close. Everything was okay. You were okay. Your family was okay, and for the first time, you felt more than prepared for the future, whatever it may bring.

9. worst part of canon
I think it has to be Mon-El, who is so very terrible that even now he is stealing my ability to kvetch about other things. ...Luckily, this is my blog, so I can do what I want. So the other worst part of canon was the demonization and eventual murder of Manchester Black at J'onn's hands in the same season that saw James cozying up to the Children of Liberty (WHY) and the Superfriends insisting that killing them (the neo-Nazi analogues), even to prevent them from killing their marginalized alien targets, was Wrong and Bad.
(Crisis on Earth-X was pretty bad, too. Not sure how it didn't occur to any of the higher-ups that putting their heroes in Nazi uniforms in order to make them ~Cool Villains~ was maybe kind of a super fucking antisemitic thing to do.)
10. worst part of fanon
I was sorely tempted to just answer this with "el problema es el racismo," but thinking on it further that is technically the worst part of fandom, whereas fanon is generally understood to mean (a) post-colonial Marxist philosopher Frantz Fanon or (b) fan-constructed canon, i.e. headcanons that have become popular and widely accepted by many people in a fandom (sometimes to the point where people mistakenly believe that these headcanons are canon). I've already talked about my problems with the "Kara is a genius"/"Krypton is Advancedâą and Earth is Primitiveâą" take, as well as the "Lena never really cared about James" take; other popular fanon ideas I can't stand include "Clark is an asshole" (no >:( I like Clark), "J'onn is Alex and Kara's space dad" (citation needed), and "Eliza Danvers is the best mom ever" (when, lest we forget, Alex's whole Deal is a direct result of her Not being the best mom ever lol). Um...there's probably more but to be honest I'm blanking on what they would be.
16. you canât understand why so many people like this thing (characterization, trope, headcanon, etc)
Hm, well, I could talk about general fanfic tropes I don't get but I prefer to stay fandom-specific in order to maximize damage from my biting and maiming. So I'll just expand on what I commented on your earlier post: I don't understand the appeal of the trope where Kara shows Lena Disney movies or imparts upon her the True Meaning of Christmas and thus transforms her life from one of forever sadness to one of joyful bliss. I'm not saying I don't like fics where Kara's presence in Lena's life improves her life -- ideally, I would imagine that both of them improve each other's lives. But the specific trope of "OMG, Lena had an abnormally wealthy and abusive childhood and thus has never done [normative thing for American (Christian) children to do that there is no canon evidence she hasn't done and also that is not necessary for healthy childhood psychological development], we must rectify this immediately!!!" baffles me.
#just once i would like to read a fanfic where a character who loves christmas or disney movies#comes across a character who hates the holidays or has never seen disney movies#and then through their love and friendship the first character learns to hate christmas and disney too <3 love wins#sideguitars#up up and away

New Story
El Mayarah (M)
Summary: After waking from a recurring dream, Kara tells Lena the truth about her identity and how she feels. Nothing goes as the Kryptonian hopes. After being attacked by The Children of Liberty, the only way to save Lenaâs life is to take her to Argo City. What happens there will change everything.
Chapter One
Karaâs POV
Ever since Reign was defeated and The Children of Liberty gained power in the media, I've had nightmares. Some were about fighting The World Killers, losing, and them killing everyone I cared for or The Children of Liberty killing all aliens and everyone who helped aliens. Either way, everybody I loved or cared about ended up dying and there was nothing I could do to stop it.
The only way I could go back to sleep was making a cup of tea and wrapping myself in the blanket Lena had left after a movie night. Sipping the warm liquid, I thought about the last few months. Things are so messed up. Lena and Supergirl are at odds because of kryptonite and she doesn't know the truth. It's been too long. It won't end well when I tell Lena who Kara Danvers really is.
Flipping through Netflix, I put on a comfort show and let it play in the background. Lena still made me the kryptonite armor even after our fight. And she gave Mom the recipe to make more Harun-El. I'm so confused.
Desperately needing sleep, I rinsed my mug and went back to bed. Since the blanket still smelled like Lena's apartment, I brought it to bed with me. Nuzzling my face into it, I inhaled the calming scent.
Waking in my bed, I heard a knock on my door. Rushing to answer it, Brainy stood before me. "Brainy? What are you doing here?"
"You're talking to me. And you know who I am." His brow creased. "Supergirl is-,"
"You can't say that! " Pulling him inside, I closed the door quickly. "It's dangerous to walk around without your image inducer turned on."
"Do we know each other? I am Brainiac 5. A 12th level intellect. The Legionnaires call me Brainy." He walked around my apartment aimlessly looking around.
"Yes, we know each other. Mon-El sent you." Why does this feel so familiar?
"Yes. To make sure your neuro pathways are intact." Brainy picked up a plant and examined it. "Your brain is in remarkable health for someone languishing in a coma."
Oh, Rao. "The coma dream palace thing I was in," I sighed. Not this dream again. "Yes, you think I'm in a coma. I was, but I'm not anymore."
"Did I bury the lead?" His head tilted. "You've been in a coma for two days."
"I know. My subconscious feels most at ease here and so on."
"Yes, you've been in a coma."
No matter what I say, it's still going to play out. Rubbing my face, I went along with it. "I'm in my loft."
"Oh! This is just where your subconscious feels most comfortable. We're not really in your loft."
This can't be happening. "If I'm in a coma, how are you here?" I watched as the man continued to walk around my apartment.
"Mon-El woke me from hyper sleep to communicate with you on behalf of him and your D.E.O. patriates. 31st century technology. It's also what's keeping you alive."
"Alive?"
"Reign defeated you," he spoke curiously. "Don't you remember?"
Flashes of the fight and Alex finding me in the rubble flashed through my mind. Dread filled me. "No. ThisâŠReign is still out there. People are dying. I need to wake up." Rushing to my door, I tried to open it to no avail.
"I don't think you're listening to me." I tried pulling harder but the door wouldn't give. "Could we maybe try relaxing for a bit?"
After finally giving up on the door, I paced the loft. "This is torture," I huffed. Sitting on the couch, I watched as Brainy inspected my kitchen. "What are you looking for?"
"Any sign of decay or damage. In a simulation like this, it can show up in any type of fashion. I want to make sure there's nothing that will harm your reality reentry."
"Reality reentry?" I held a pillow to my chest.
"If you're not properly prepared, you could go into shock. Some people die instantly."
"Wait, does that mean I'm ready to wake up?" Getting to my feet, I tossed the pillow. "Is there anything I need to do?" I made my way towards the door again.
"This is the manifest of your subconscious and that's the only way in or out. Logic says you need to walk through it."
Trying the door again, it wouldn't budge. "It's not opening." I continued to pull. "Why isn't it opening?"
"We drained the tank and you've suffered no ill effects of hibernation." Boiling water, Brainy sipped a cup of tea. I bit my lip realizing he used some of Lena's favorite tea. "Everything is physically fine. There must be a different reason your mind is keeping you here."
"You're saying I'm keeping myself here?" I scoffed. "That doesn't make any sense. I'm the one who wants out of here." I tried punching through the door but was only knocked back.
"Is there a reason your subconscious wants you to stay here? Self preservation perhaps? You were badly beaten." He sipped more tea as he sat on the couch. "Fear can be powerful."
"I am not afraid." I tried using my heat vision until everything around us was destroyed. Frustrated, I started to clean.
"Is there something different about this version of your loft? Something that stands out."
Placing some items on my coffee table, I looked around. My stomach dropped seeing coats, shoes, and other little things that weren't mine. A lot of Lena's things are here. Things that aren't actually in my loft. This is new. The dream has never taken this path before. Turning my gaze to the picture in hand, it was one I took of us. We were cheek to cheek and smiling.
"You've noticed something," Brainy's voice trailed. "Who is this brunette woman?" He picked up a nearby picture I kept on the side table. "Your mate? Mon-El said you were single."
"No. She'sâŠjust a friend." My stomach fell. I don't want her to be just a friend.
The man studied me. "You want her to be your mate." His head tilted. "You could be stuck because you're scared."
"I've not told her that I'm Supergirl. She'll hate me." I swallowed hard seeing the brunette in question appear sitting in my armchair. Walking towards her, I wrapped Lena in my arms. "I miss you."
"I'm right here, Kara," Lena nuzzled her face in my neck, holding me tightly.
"She appeared to you for a reason," he coaxed. "What is it?"
Releasing the shorter woman, I turned towards Brainy. "Possibly because I have to face the fact that I've had feelings for her?"
His brow creased. "But you love Mon-El."
"You can love more than one person at a time, I think." I took the safer option, falling for Mon-El. Loving him was easier than loving Lena. He was a certain thing. She's not.
"And now?" Brainy's attention shifted.
Turning back to dream Lena, I cupped her face. The action caused a warm smile to appear. "To get out of here I have to admit to myself that I love herâŠ." That thought terrifies me.
My alarm woke me from my Lena, Brainy, coma dream. Staring at the ceiling, I thought about Lena and my feelings for her. I am so screwed. I need to bite the figurative bullet and tell her. I'd rather bite a real one.

Kara and Lena's Adventure at Nevermore
Fandom: Supergirl, Wednesday
Characters: Kara Danvers, Lena Luthor, Elizabeth Walsh, Lillian Luthor, Lionel Luthor, Morticia Addams, Gomez Addams, Alex Danvers, Lex Luthor, Sam Arias, Winn Schott Jr., J'onn J'onzz, Harley Quinn, Pamela Isley, Clark Kent, Zatanna
Summary: After an incident and the vanishing of her best friend, Lena is forced to attend Nevermore in hopes of learning to control her powers. She hates the idea because her cousin Morticia, who she detests with a passion, attends there. However, a certain blonde student captures Lena's attention and makes Nevermore more appealing to her.
Note: This this as a part of Supergirl May-hem. Like to give a special thanks to @theredcapeofk for providing art for this fic and @mad2balive for beta reading for me. This was the first time for me to participate in an event like this and I am glad they have helped me make this go as smoothly as possible.
Lena sat with her head against the limo window watching the vast green trees and valleys go by while listening to Donât Speak by No Doubt. She was going over the things in her life that got her to this point and the unfairness of it all. She just wished that she was back at home underneath the covers. She was suddenly brought out of her thoughts by a soft tap of her knee.Â
She pressed pause on her CD player and looked up to see three adults staring up at her with concern: Her father and mother, Lionel Luthor and Elizabeth Walsh, were sitting across from her with Lionelâs wife, Lillian Luthor, sitting to her right. Lena had always found their relationship a little peculiar. Lionel and Lillian entered a polyamorous relationship with Elizabeth about a year before she was born and they had been together ever since. It was not the norm, but she liked it because she had an extra person to love and call Mom. However, now she canât stand any of them because she feels betrayed by them all.Â
Lena narrowed her eyes and snapped, âWhat?â
Lionel rubbed his temple and said, âYou donât have to answer with that tone.â
âYouâre kicking me out of the house and abandoning me in the middle of nowhere. How do you expect me to sound?â seethed Lena.Â
Her mother winced but tried to keep a passive look on her face.
âThat is not what is happening here. Nevermore is a wonderful school. They have wonderful teachers, the students are friendly, and you will learn more ways to control your magic,â Elizabeth tried to reason.
âI control my magic just fine. Iâm even better at magic than you!â scoffed Lena.Â
Elizabeth grimaced at that last statement and tried to return to a more passive face.Â
âThat may be true sweetie, but the way youâve been using your magic is⊠less than desirable.â
Lena scowled while looking back out the window. âI have been practicing magic wonderfully,â she muttered.Â
Lena felt Lillian grabbed her hand softly. She looked over to Lillian staring at her with a soft smile on her face.Â
âYou have a gift with magic. While I found the last stunt hilariousâŠ.â
Lionel frowned and asked, âReally, Lillian?â
Lillian looked up startled and asked, âWhat? Iâm not going to lie to the girl. It was funny.â She turned back to Lena with a soft smile and said, âAs I was saying, it was a funny stunt and I get why you did it, but violence shouldnât be your go-to when someone has slighted you or someone else in this household.â
âBut Morgan Edge was being a jackass,â muttered Lena.Â
Elizabeth sighed and said, âLanguage, sweetie.â
Lena rolled her eyes and said, âMorgan Edge is a butt face. Happy now?â
Lionel rubbed the back of his neck and asked, âYou donât think what you did was the least bit overkill?â
Lena thought back to what happened a week ago. After school, she walked to L-Corp to listen to a presentation that Lex and Edge were putting together about a new energy-saving initiative.
However, Lex never showed up to the meeting, just Edge. He went on to pitch his own idea of replacing steel with nth metal since a new supply of it was found in South America and it is stronger than any metal on Earth. Because of the large supply of it found, it would save energy costs.
While Edge was explaining the numbers, Lena found it odd that Lex was still missing and used her magic to try to locate him. She found him locked in a broom closet with a pit bull. Lex had managed to get to the top shelf where the dog couldnât reach him.Â
She used magic to poof the dog away, but the damage was done. Lex was a babbling mess with scratch marks everywhere, and a urine stain on his pants. She instantly poofed him to a hospital so that he could be treated and given a sedative to calm down. While the doctors were working on Lex, she poofed back to L-Corp and burst back into the boardroom where Edge was finishing up his presentation. She remembers the confrontation with Edge vividly.Â
She approached him like a cat about to pounce on its prey. She tapped his shoulder while looking at him passively.
âIs there a reason why you locked my brother in the broom closet with a pit bull?â Lena demanded.Â
Edge chuckled. âI have no idea what youâre talking about.â
Lena looked down at her hands nonchalantly and said, âI found him in the closet not too long ago. The pit bull had run him up to the top shelf. The closet is only able to be locked with a key from the outside, so Lex couldnât have done it himself. When I asked him what happened, all he could say was âEdgeâ over and over again.â
Edge smirked and said, ââEdgeâ could refer to so many things. Besides, itâs kind of pathetic that Lex couldnât stand up for himself against a dog. The most basic of people can do that.â
Lena raised an eyebrow and asked, âOh really?â
Edge laughed obnoxiously which caused Lenaâs skin to crawl. âEverybody knows that your brother doesnât really have thick skin when it comes to business, or anything else for that matter. He comes from a Wasp-y upbringing, but he is anything but. L-Corp needs strong and dominant leaders who can take the reigns. Not those that cry in the corner.âÂ
Lena narrowed her eyes and frowned. Her eyes turned black and started walking toward Edge, which caused him to gulp. When Edge looked around, his face fell when he noticed that everyone in the room was frozen in place and silent.
Edged looked back at Lena and stuttered, âItâsâŠnothingâŠpersonalâŠ.kidâŠ.â
Lena stopped within inches of him and smirked. âI find it funny that you think that youâre a Wasp considering youâre really just a worker bee gathering things in attempts to make your mommy richer and hoping that she loves you more for it. Too bad that sheâll still ignore you no matter what you do.âÂ
Edge took a step back hesitantly and said more confidently, âYou donât know what youâre talking about.â
Lena smiled while brushing her hand against his arm which caused him to gasp. He was so nervous that he didnât notice a purple glow going from her hand to his arm.Â
âMaybe you should be reminded of what bees do when a Wasp tries to enter solo in their hive.â
Lena cackled as she turned around and left. The room became lively again after she left. Everybody left the room except for Edge, who sat in the room in stunned silence.Â
Lena has thought back to that day with a smile on her face often.Â
Lena looked back at Lionel smiling and said, âI donât think that it was overkill at all.â
âYou had bees burst through the wall at his home and attack him,â Elizabeth said with a deadpan stare.
Lena looked down while pulling at her dress and said, âThey just bit him. It is not like any of them used their poison stingers to kill him. If I wanted that, I wouldâve done something that didnât leave a body.â
Lillian raised an eyebrow and said, âYou realize that itâs comments like that which have us concerned?â

Can you make a oneshot where Alex Danvers plays Mario Kart with Baby Danvers because Baby Danvers is sick?
á---á
Already the day before at the DEO you showed small signs of illness during a mission. Weakness, indescribable sweating, mixed with a high fever and flu-like symptoms whereupon JÂŽonn sent you home to rest.
He noticed that one of his favorite Danvers actually looked a little more sickly than they were letting on and grimaced. Even if you shook your head frantically and tried to suppress a cough, your eyes were dull, your skin pale and your cheeks seemed to glow in an unusual reddish color.
In that state, he did not want you to continue working.
Even after JÂŽonn called your siblings to the lab you were working in and the redhead put a hand on your forehead, you did not let go of your lie. "Hey, girls. I am not sick," you said with a sniffling nose and yet they were undeterred and sighed almost in unison. "You are running a fever. Kara will take you home now and you will go to bed. No back talk."
Nodding, you stood up, took off your lab coat and disappeared from the small lab into the changing room. You gave up arguing with your siblings, had to admit to yourself that they were right.
Your head felt like it was stuffed with cotton. You have not been feeling so great for days. You froze no matter how high you turned the heater on in the lab, your nose ran non-stop and made it difficult for you to breathe. Your throat was sore when you ate or drank, and you had a sore taste on your tongue from the violent fits of coughing you were trying to suppress.
Kara took you home, had quickly rummaged in the bathroom for pills and medicine in the drawer for headaches and coughing. She put all the different medicines on the table in the living room and prepared a teapot for you, humming softly to herself.
Meanwhile you lay down on the sofa and closed your eyes. You were very lucky to have such wonderful sisters, they were the ones who looked after you so lovingly when you were sick and vice versa.
"Here, I made you some tea. I want this pot to be empty before Alex and I come home tonight," she said, smiling at you. You gratefully accepted the tea and rubbed your forehead with the back of your hand before taking a sip from the full cup. "Will be done, mom."
The blonde rolled her eyes before kissing you on the top of your head and leaving you alone. She wanted to stay with you and take care of you, but today was one of those days when Supergirl was constantly needed.
You spent most of the day resting, falling into a peaceful sleep shortly after KaraÂŽs disappearance. You woke up briefly in the afternoon and turned around, but your body did not want to go back to sleep so you made it your mission to counteract your boredom.
Laying comfortably on a pillow in front of the TV, you rekindled your childhood. Water and tea were set aside, some cough drops from the bag spilled wildly across the table while blank papers of them lay on the floor.
The images of Mario Party, Bandicoot and SpongeBob SquarePants flickered on the flat screen TV for the next few hours, immersing you in your own world. Only when your two siblings came home with dinner that evening did you come back to reality.
á---á
During the dinner together, the redhead asked you to compete against her in Mario Kart and your face looked determined to finish her off. Meanwhile, Kara was tired after the hard day and lay down on the free couch, watching Yoshi and King Boo shooting each other.
You fidgeted happily on your stomach to adjust your awkward position on the floor, leaning slightly against your big sister and uttered a few loud coughs meanwhile the redhead tried to focus on what was happening on the screen while taking a sip from her beer.
You really enjoyed being around your sisters in a calm environment without work getting in the way. And even if you were actually too old for something like that, the whole thing was still a lot of fun for all of you.
You drove skillfully and calmly along the routes while Alex concentrated on every little thing on the screen and pressed the buttons with sweaty hands. Kara, on the other hand, ate the last potstickers that were left and could not help but laugh at the soft curses coming from the oldest Danvers.
Cheering, you threw the controller in front of you after your deserved victory and turned to Kara, who sat amusingly on the sofa and watched you conquer the Mario Kart tracks. Her gaze literally melted away at your happy sight of the golden trophy. "Look who is at the top of the list and who only came third and got beaten by an non player character," you stated and a wide grin spread across your still sickly looking face.
"You do not play fair! You cheat!"
Alex was not too thrilled about standing on the last winnerŽs podium. Usually, she way always the first when she played against Winn. But you were a tougher opponent, with good luck for the gifts. "I do not cheat! I gave you time to pass me several times-" you began, but were immediately cut off. "Nevertheless you managed to sneak up on me from behind and then throw those green Koopa things at me"
"It is not my fault thatyou drive like an old granny in first gear!" you stuck out your tongue and leaned towards her. The redhead rolled her eyes and gently pushed you away from her. The blonde grunted and started laughing uproariously at the comparsion while the redhead gave you a look that could kill you. You had provoked her and now you had to suffer for it. She jumped on top of you and tickled you through, you squealing happily as she did so. "Alex, leave her alone. She can not breathe anymore"
"I want revenge"

Baby Danvers who is Kara's bio little sister sent to earth with Kara in the pod as a baby. Has a crush on Ruby Arias, they bond over being Kryptonian and teenagers not allowed to use their powers in public. Please đ
(love your work)
Everything Has Changed.
Supergirl. Baby Danvers. Kara Danvers x Sister!Reader, Alex Danvers x Sister!Reader, Ruby Arias x Reader. Sam Arias.
Word Count: 2310.
"No," Kara repeats, speaking to you as if you were a toddler. "You can't join the track team when you have super speed. You know that."
"You just won't let me do anything!" You scowl, showing your sister how upset you are. Usually, that's all it takes, but when it comes to your powers, Kara never budges.
"Yeah, because it's not fair to other people, Y/N! You have superpowers," Alex chimes in from the kitchen. You roll your eyes, knowing this was bound to happen. The open concept in Kara's apartment really doesn't help when you're trying to have a conversation with just one of them.
"What good are all these powers if I'm not allowed to use them?" You turn on your heel, quickly going to your bedroom and slamming the door behind you. You hear a crack in the wood and curse under your breath.
"If you break another door, you won't get a replacement!" Alex yells, and you grunt in frustration.
God! You break a few things around the house or bump into someone and break their arm on the street a couple of times and now you're treated as a menace! Sure, it doesn't help that your bedroom door looks like it might turn into ashes if you slam it one more time, but most of the time it isn't on purpose.Â
Do you really want to join the track team? Not necessarily. What you really want is a way to use your powers without Kara and Alex yelling at you. You can't wait until you're an adult.
When you were younger, you couldn't wait to get your powers. When you and Kara crashed on this planet, she was already a teenager, so she immediately got all of themâthe flying, super speed, super strengthâeverything you always wanted. But since you were a baby when you came to Earth, you had to wait until puberty.
Now, you finally have them. You can fly around the world, save people, hear all the gossip at school, and yet your sisters insist that you mustn't use them.
"How did Eliza do it?" Kara asks, and you put your headphones on mute to hear the conversation better. "I seriously don't remember what she used to do when it was me."
"Well, if I remember correctly, it was basically the same," Alex says, and you can't help but roll your eyes again. Perfect Kara Danvers wasn't so perfect after all.
"Eliza was more composed after it, though." Kara takes a deep breath, trying to calm herself. You slide your glasses down to look at them moving to the couch. "Did I mess up her life by bringing her to live with me? Eliza said she wanted Y/N to stay there."
"Kara," Alex reaches for Kara's arm, giving it a gentle stroke, "you wanted to bring her here so you could teach her about her powers, to help her feel how normal it is to have them. Besides, you promised your mom you'd take care of her."
"Alex, I know all the reasons, but what if they're not enough? Having me fly around, saving people, using my powers daily, and not being able to use hersâI don't think it's helping as much as I thought it would."
Alex is silent for a moment. "You know, Sam has told me the same thing about Ruby. Maybe we need to get them together, so she can see that even though her experience feels singular, it really isn't."
"That's a good idea, actually." Kara grabs her phone right away. "I'll ask Sam if they're free this weekend. Oh! And Lena can come too."
You smirk â of course Kara would want to bring Lena everywhere.
Kara knocks on your door a while later. You take your headphones off and watch as she slowly approaches, testing the waters. "I'm sorry you can't join the track team. You do understand why, right?"
You sit up in bed and give her a soft, "Yeah" so she knows you're no longer upset. She sits in front of you, grabbing one of your stuffed animals on the bed so she has something to do with her hands.
It takes a couple of seconds and a long breath from her to add, "I love you, baby. I'm just trying to protect you." Kara blinks at you, and you can see how sad she is about fighting with you all the time.
It's not fair that she had to take care of you all your life. Sure, Eliza was an incredible mother figure to both of you, but Kara is 13 years older than you, and she promised your mom she'd care for you when Alura put you both in that pod. And that's what she's done her entire life. She fed you, changed you, taught you both English and Kryptonese, told you about your planet, and showed you its place in the sky. She's the blood relative who truly raised you (sorry, Kal, but it's true).
As soon as she graduated from college and got a job, she brought you to National City to live with her. Eliza wasn't happy about it, but you were over the moon. You'd never say this out loud, but deep down you know Kara is your mom. Not Alura, not Eliza, not even Alex (though she sometimes feels like one). Kara cradled your baby self in her arms all those years ago, and she has yet to let go.
You throw yourself into her arms, hugging her with all your strength, grateful you can't hurt her with it. "I know. I'm sorry." Tears threaten to leave your eyes, and you swallow them. "Kar, I â I know you're doing more than you should as a sister. And so I don't want to be a burden to you."
"You are not a burden!" She squeezes you tighter. "You could never be a burden, little one. You are my whole world." Kara holds your face between her hands, her eyes full of tears, and when you look at her, you know exactly why. "You are the most important person to me in any universe. That's why I don't want you in any kind of danger."
"I know, but I just want to make you proud."
"Oh, baby. I couldn't be prouder of the girl you are, trust me. But we still need some rules about using your powers. You're all I have left," she reassures you.
"I mean, did I die at some point?" Alex asks, leaning against the doorway.
You smile. "Pretty sure you're a ghost, and this house is haunted, yeah."
Alex opens her arms and joins the hug. "You'll have a nice weekend with Ruby and will stop breaking the doors, right?"
You crack a smirk. "I'll try. No promises."
They let you fly to Metropolis, and you appreciate it, even if it's just a less-than-five-minute flight. You get to carry Alex, while Kara carries Lenaâbecause, of course, Lena was coming.
You've met Sam before, though you donât remember much about it. However, youâre sure youâve never met Ruby. Usually, you dislike when people dictate who you should or shouldnât be friends with, but that changes when you meet Ruby.
You love her excitement about things, which mirrors your own enthusiasm, often dimmed by other teenagers who want to look cool. Ruby is nice, has superpowers, and is best friends with her mom (which is similar to your relationship with your older sisters). So when Sam says youâll have to share a room with Ruby, youâre thrilled.
It's refreshing to have someone you can confide in about your powers, your frustration with not being able to use them freely, and how much you love your sisters despite their misunderstandings.
"I know! Like, okay, I get it. I can't use my powers to gain an advantage in life, but maybe I want to play volleyball!"
"Or join the track team!" You agree, pointing at her. Rubyâs smile widens, and you stare up at her from your spot on the sleeping bag on the floor.
"And honestly, she gets so mad when I break something, like itâs my fault I have super strength." Ruby makes space for you in bed and invites you up with a gesture. You promptly sit in front of her without a word, too preoccupied with your complaints to talk.
"And yes, I understand it's hard to explain why my door keeps breaking, but Iâm a teenager! Iâm supposed to slam doors behind me."
Ruby laughs in agreement. "It probably doesnât help when I break things at school, though."
"One time I stopped suddenly in P.E. class, and a kid running behind me ran into me. He broke his nose. I didnât even move." You give her a sheepish smile. "That was hard to explain."
"Thatâs nothing! We were playing dodgeball, and I sent someone flying across the room." Your eyes widen at the image. "I was banned from P.E. for weeks, and everyone started calling me 'Wonder Chick.'"
"Uh," You smile. "Did you tell them they got the planets mixed up?"
"Tried to. Mom wouldnât let me."
You laugh loudly, and although Ruby laughs too, she shushes you so none of the adults come to check on you.
You talk all night, and as the hours pass, the connection between you deepens. You canât believe how easy it is to open up to Ruby, sharing things youâve never felt comfortable saying before. After showing her where Krypton would have been if it still existed and teaching her a few Kryptonian words, you both lie side by side on the roof, gazing at the early morning sky.
The sun rises, casting an orange glow that makes Ruby's chestnut eyes shine even more than when sheâs telling a story. You think itâs the most beautiful thing youâve ever seen. Her eyes feel like coming home.
The conversation eventually slows, and a comfortable silence settles between you. Youâre both exhausted, but thereâs a sense of peace that neither of you wants to break.
âIâm really glad I came here,â you murmur, your eyes heavy with sleep.
"Yeah," She scoots a little closer. "Iâm really glad you came too. Iâve never met anyone who understands me so much."
"I know! Same." You bite your lower lip, looking at Ruby's lips. "I think you might be one of my favorite people already." Your cheeks flush when you realize what you just said. "Is that weird?"
"No." She shakes her head, eyes flicking between your eyes and lips. "It canât be weird to meet your soulmate."
Soulmate? Oh.
"May I ask what you two are doing out here?" Karaâs voice nearly makes you jump out of your skin.
"Shit." You place a hand on your chest, checking if itâs still there. "Kara! You scared us!"
"You two should be in bed!" You open your mouth to argue, but your sister cuts you off. "Come on, go get some sleep. You guys can talk more before we have to leave."
Your face drops at the thought of leaving, and you see the same sadness on Rubyâs face when Karaâs eyes soften. "You guys will see each other again. Rao, why are teenagers so dramatic?" When she doesnât see you moving, she adds, "Bed! Now!"
You obey her orders, Ruby slipping into bed and you into the uncomfortable sleeping bag on the floor. You drift off quickly, a sense of contentment washing over you. Despite only getting a couple of hours of sleep, you donât regret it one bit.
"Ruby! Y/N! Come down for breakfast!" Sam calls from downstairs. Even though more sleep sounds tempting, breakfast sounds even better. You both rush to the kitchen.
"Oh, cool sweater, by the way!" Ruby points at the "Power to the Girls" slogan, and you beam.
"Thanks," Karaâs voice comes from the couch. You can see her snuggled up with a mug and Lena, but sheâs not looking at you. "Itâs mine. And no, I didnât let her borrow it."
You glance down at the sweater. "It was mixed with my laundry. I thought youâd given it to me!"
"Nice try." Her voice comes a second later. "Stop stealing my clothes."
You shrug. "I tried."
The rest of the day passes in a dreamlike haze. You find yourself wishing your sisters had thought of this sooner, but youâre incredibly grateful they finally did. Meeting Ruby, your soulmate, has changed everything. For the first time, you donât feel so alone with your powers. You have someone who truly understands you.
When itâs time to say goodbye, you feel a pang of sadness, but you know this isnât the end.
"Youâll come visit next weekend, right?" You ask again, even though both Sam and Ruby have reassured you several times.
"Yeah. And youâll text before that, right?"
"As soon as I get home!" You smile proudly. "So in like, five minutes."
"Cool."
You canât suppress your smile as you look at her one last time before taking flight. "Cool."
As you fly back home, you feel a sense of peace you hadnât expected. Meeting Ruby is one of the best things that has happened in your life, and youâre already certain of it. Maybe your sisters are right about some things, but that doesnât mean youâre alone. You now have Ruby, someone who understands you like no one else ever will.
You: Photo đž You: Guess what? It turns out you can break doors when you're too happy too! Rubes: Love the pic. Alex looks thrilled đ Rubes: Please get a new one before I visit.
You smile at your phone. For the first time in a long while, you feel that things are going to be okay. Your life isnât as bad as you thought. In fact, it might just be pretty great.

Headcanons for being Alex Danvers' Daughter
Growing up in and out of the DEO and on the busy streets of National City gave you a first hand look at how tough your family is and so on your first day of kindergarten you had apparently seen 17 more aliens than any of your classmates, which they had all said zero. Except for a little boy which said he was an alien. And you added to your number. 18 aliens.
The nights Alex was home, which was every night unless the city is literally falling apart, she would tuck you in and sing you to sleep.
Alex picks you up from school and then it's home most days but some times it's straight back to the DEO if things are heated.
You'll never tell your friends, but you have free access to Supergirl anytime you want. But you honestly didn't know Kara was Supergirl til you were like 8 years old, so she's just aunt Kara to you, half the time you forget she is Supergirl until she changes in her super speed in front of you.
For a long time you looked up to your aunt Kara. I mean who wouldn't. So while you knew your mom was totally cool and all she was still your embarrassing mom and aunt Kara was Supergirl...
You were a bit shocked when she sat you down and told you she was into girls instead of guys, but it didn't take much more that a week or two to process it and understand your mom.
Basically living at the DEO taught you many things, including, keeping your thumbs on the outside of your fist when punching, how to pull a really good prank on an alien, how to hide yourself away in a building with trained agents keeping an eye out for you, how to throw a ninja star, and how to shoot a gun(Alex taught you that though), how to make a army general very very angry(that technically wasn't your fault but you still left crying), and what it takes to make Winn freak out beyond compare (which is way easier that you think).
Game nights with family are the best. When you play as your moms partner your unstoppable, but even now you always want to play with Nia.
When learning how to drive you ran into a tree off the road and took a picture while waiting, sending it to a Danvers family GroupChat saying, "My driving skills are out of this road"
It was your aunt Kara's old car. She wasn't terribly mad. But Director of the DEO scary Alex Danvers AKA Mom was livid.
You weren't allowed to drive for two months. Alex even moved your DMV appointment because of how mad she was.
You begged her not to. which turned into angry crying and some yelling from both parts...
So the next week was spent in your room, school, and the DEO. trying to avoid your mom.
Things blew over and you eventually got your license! Yay!

Do you have ideas you can share about the hockey au đ
I can share this little snippit from the thing i've been writing for it (which is longer than i intended i'm i'm just ugh, i have so many other things to be writing)
-
Now Alex does get mad.
She doesn't want to move, especially not to Minnesota of all places.
She only really knows about Minnesota from The Mighty Ducks, so she digs into the bookshelf in the living room, pulling out the atlases and encyclopedias and absolutely not.
Minnesota is as far as you can get from the ocean.
Minnesota gets snow all winter.
Minnesota only has, like, two cities.
But Alex is eleven (she had one more birthday with her friends, at least) and doesn't have any say, so to Minnesota they move.
But Alex is eleven and extremely smart and realizes something more is going on. It starts with the sudden move, then the order to not tell anybody where they're moving -
we're trusting you, Alex. you can't tell anybody
- and when they get to Lakeville, Minnesota, she's told that she isn't going to be Alexandra Josephine Danvers anymore.
'There are bad people who want Kara,' her mom tells her while her dad takes Kara to get ice cream. 'And we have to keep both of you safe from them.'
