Copa America 2024: My Prediction For The Final
Will this be Argentina’s record-setting sixteenth win? Or Colombia’s second? Back on my talk about the Euro final, I talked about how people shouldn’t see continental tournaments as joke tournaments. Same with the Copa America. Especially knowing that all the teams of the CONMEBOL are as capable of losing to each other as they are winning. Argentina may be the World Cup holder but that doesn’t…

I've been waiting 33 years to write this post. If you want to know me and my obsessions, read on...
The sport of futbol, is so much more than just a sport. From an international regard, and for those that appreciate it, it’s an IDENTITY. An identity that is programmed into your soul as a factory setting, rarely chosen. The nation and it’s crest is your fingerprint. The colors, your blood. Regardless of the relationship with your family or the country you were actually born in, you associate yourself with a national team at an early age. If you don’t, and you love football enough to just enjoy “watching the world cup,” then you are a Jane Doe.
My blood just so happens to run Albi-Celeste. Memories of my father sitting me down to watch Batistuta and Caniggia with Argentina go further back than those learning how to piece together sentences in pre-school. Ever since, it’s been a bond that one cannot describe, both with my father and with the national team. And with most things in life, it’s produced countless smiles, yet yielded constant suffering...However, 365 days ago, the seemingly impossible for my entire life, was finally achieved…I got to watch the best player in the history of the sport, lift the the World Cup with the newly crowned best team in the world. A 3rd star stitched into the national emblem, and into the hearts of every Argentine soul.
On the anniversary of the World Cup victory in Qatar, a celebratory post of life this past year is overdue.

2024 Copa America: My Semifinals Predictions
Just four teams are left in the running for the Copa America. Some of you may wonder why I didn’t do a Copa America blog for the groups with a game to go or a quarterfinals prediction blog. Firstly, blogs are too tiring. I like the Copa America but my hands can only take so much typing and I can only have so much inspiration. I’m not a professional blogger. Secondly, I was on vacation in my city…
