TOH WITH A IMMORTAL READER!

Okay so this wasn’t a specific request or anything so I’m just going to answer here with how I think each character would cope with having an immortal significant other. This got very long as I included basically everyone that’s on my masterlist… oops!

Also, to reiterate, these are just my thoughts so they’re very biased towards how I interpret the characters — and your relationship with the characters can be romantic or queer-platonic or similar depending on your preference!

Adrian Graye-Vernworth

doesn’t even remotely believe you at first and will probably assume you’re joking. but once he does recognise your honesty then he��ll probably have something of a breakdown for a while and step back from your relationship �� equal parts jealous of the life you’ve lived and horrified at the idea of just being a blip on the radar of your infinite life. it’s 50/50 whether this is a dealbreaker for him and he’ll either slowly inch back into your relationship or just break up with you because of the stress.

Alador Blight

alador is mostly neutral to your immortality when it comes to your relationship. like he’ll call on you for a second opinion when he’s working on something and will draw on your experience to further help his fellow witches — but he doesn’t really think about it any beyond that. though he does sometimes worry about you and how you’ll cope when he’s gone (because he knows that losing you would break him).

Amity Blight

when you tell her it’s quite the shock to the system and she doesn’t really know what to say or how to react. she’ll freeze up and you can see her thinking as she considers her response before she finally squeezes your hands and thanks you for telling her. she’d want to stay with you and wouldn’t want to break up, but she’d definitely have a few crises over the fact that you’ve lived so long before her and you will live so long after — but she also finds a small bit of comfort in the idea that she’ll never have to live without you.

Belos / Philip Wittebane

he’s been alive for far longer than he ever should have been because of his mission, so the idea of immortal entities isn’t difficult for him to believe. so upon finding out about your condition, he’s amazed but not necessarily startled by it — asking you about your origins and if there are more beings like you out there. if he truly cares about you, he’ll stick by you for as long as he’s able to keep his form stable — but if he doesn’t then he’ll just use you to find a way to complete his goal and lengthen his life further.

Boscha

boscha is someone else who wouldn’t believe you when you told her — going from genuine disbelief to shaky doubt to outright terrified denial and then through the stages of grief as she comes to terms with your condition. as sad as it sounds, this would probably end up being a deal breaker and would end your relationship as she would struggle too much with your past and future to be with you beyond that.

Camila Noceda

she doesn’t believe you at first, thinking that you’re just older than her as she’s seen some strange things but immortality is just so far beyond that. it takes her some time to come to terms with this but you do end up bonding over the losses you’ve experienced throughout your lives — you, your various lovers and friends, and her, luz’s father. she insists on learning your native language and teaching you hers so that you have an experience to remember her by.

Collector

having an immortal significant other would be the best case scenario for collector given his own life span. they wouldn’t have to worry about losing you prematurely and you’d be able to understand the issues he’s faced throughout their long life — whilst also having all the time in the world to grow with him and together as a couple. so they would be hopeful to have a spouse with this trait.

Darius Deamonne

this wouldn’t be a dealbreaker for darius but he would have a serious, long conversation about where you both stand and how your experiences would impact your relationship. he wouldn’t necessarily ask about your past relationships but he would be curious about older ages of magic on the isles and how other realms function — and especially how that can help the rebellion against belos.

Eberwolf

they’re pretty chill about the whole thing, honestly — like it rarely ever comes up in conversation so there’s no real impact on your relationship. you two just continue vibing together and spending the time you have wisely (by having fun) without the stresses such a realisation often bring. really they’re the best person you could have told — they only bring it up once or maybe twice and it’s only to make fun of you (lovingly, of course).

Eda Clawthorne

your immortality means that you have more knowledge of the world before belos and, thus, wild magic and magic as a whole. this means that eda will be looking to you to learn more about the owl beast, the history of those like her and if you ever came to know others with similar curses. she’d also insist on you teaching her about the people you loved and she’ll happily talk about raine (she’s far from the jealous type, but she is something of a gossip). she doesn’t care about making scrapbooks or taking pictures and prefers living in the moment with you and your family — living in the ‘doing’ world rather than focusing on capturing every little thing. you’ll look back on this with king and fleetingly wish you had more pictures, but the memory of her laugh and smile is tangible enough that neither of you feel like you’re missing out on too much.

Edric Blight

he will probably have something of an existential crisis about his own mortality when you tell him and would insist on finding a way to make himself live as long as you do. he starts comparing himself to the people you loved and lost and you’ll end up having to talk him into getting some help for it. your relationship will be permanently changed by this, but you will grow and heal with time — it’s just such a shock for him that he takes a bit of a mental health wobble whilst he comes to terms with it.

Emira Blight

em tends to bottle up her feelings a lot and will initially come off as very accepting and calm about the whole thing — but make no mistake this poor woman is one mislabelled jar of seasoning away from a breakdown. she’s now very aware of her own mortality and that she’s one of the probably dozens you’ve loved and lost and she’s absolutely terrified of being forgotten and lost to the sands of time. she’ll insist on keeping thorough, reliable records of your time together and by the time she’s old and you’re young you’ll be spending your last days together looking over them and laughing and crying and holding each other — finally ready to say goodbye.

Gus Porter

he will bombard you with questions about your life nonstop. did you ever live in the human realm? how has it changed? how has the boiling isles changed? there’s so much he wants to know and he has all the time in the world to listen to you talk — and he will note down everything you say and look at you with complete interest. so yeah he’ll still love you just as much as before, he’s just very nosy and eager to learn.

Hunter Wittebane

hunter is someone that would likely have a few hang-ups regarding true- and pseudo- immortality given his status as a clone/grimwalker. he’d have to do a lot of thinking regarding your relationship once he found out and a lot of serious conversations would be had about his natural lifespan compared to yours. in the end you would stay together and he’d be with you for a significant period of it (a few hundred years given him being similar to palismen) with him insisting that you don’t bring him back once he’s gone.

Lilith Clawthorne

she’d be absolutely entranced by your condition and would start fangirling over everything you must have experienced. you’ll end up getting interviewed and documented in every way possible as she asks about your history in and beyond the isles. though she might spend a bit more time on the deadwardian period than anything else (she’s biased, okay!).

Luz Noceda

luz would be amazed with you and would be eager to learn your story — as well as just about everything about you. she wants to learn your native language and hear about the cultures and people you knew throughout the years, especially if it involves some form of magic. she does, however, insist on making lots of memories with you and recording them so you never forget her.

Mattholomule

another one that doesn’t believe you but in mattholomule’s case he never ends up believing you. in his mind you’re just making a weird joke and there comes a point where you just stop trying to correct him and just live your life out with him — watching him grow old and grey whilst you remain the same. it’s on his death bed when he finally realises, but the life you shared was full of laughter and love so neither of you find it in yourselves to complain.

Odalia Blight

she is the type to use your status to her advantage which means that your relationship dynamic would inevitably shift. like she’d still care about you and be as affectionate as before, but she insists on showing you off and presenting herself as the wife of an immortal being in order to put herself above her fellow witches. you can tell her to knock it off. it will not work.

Raine Whispers

raine is heartbroken for you when they realise just how much you’ve lost throughout your life and they insist on memorialising your lost loved ones however they can. they help you write ballads for deceased lovers and learn to play songs from your home (even if their pronunciation is very shaky) because they care so deeply about you. they don’t talk about their concerns often, but they do ask that you remember them — and they leave you plenty of songs behind to do so.

Steve

as he’s quite possibly the most chilled out person in the boiling isles, steve doesn’t really care about the fact that you’re immortal. like when you tell him he’ll ask you a few questions about yourself and your past, but otherwise your relationship will stay the same and he’ll keep on keeping on. might expect the occasional cool story from your past, though, when you’ve both been drinking some apple blood.

Terra Snapdragon

she will most likely treat this as an opportunity to gain more power through your relationship. like she does care for you as you are her spouse at the end of the day, but she’s also incredibly power-hungry and having a partner who is immortal and has more experience than basically every other living entity is the ideal opportunity for her to get what she wants. so she definitely wouldn’t leave you, but the dynamic between the two of you would definitely change.

Viney

this wouldn’t be the end of your relationship but it would change a lot. viney insists on the two of you continuing to live in the moment together, focusing on making lasting memories doing things that you both love so that you never forget her. that means frequent fun dates, time spent teaching as a team, helping everyone you can and just spending time together doing what you love and having as much fun as you can whilst doing so.

Willow Park

willow is shocked by the revelation of your immortality but she doesn’t make too much of a big deal of it. like she will sit down with you and discuss anything you want to talk about, but generally your relationship remains unchanged. the only change is that she starts writing letters for you and hiding them — wanting to leave something behind for you once she’s gone.

Alador is actually willing to be friends with whoever but would not be used to how upfront you are about it. However since he’s autistic core probably prefers it this way it’s the first time he feels like he knows what’s going on in a relationship. The whole having you help him with project thing was probably you insisting you help as his newest friend and he just eventually accepts you’re not taking no for an answer. He probs divorced odalia like . Officially after everything is said and done with Belos lol he gets that shit done pronto. So he’s probs divorced by the time you meet. But when you tell him you like him he’s just like blushing but he’s like “yeah me too :)” so you two date and then when you’re dating for awhile he introduces you to his kids. When he finds out your like a god he’s just kinda like what… like ? Why didn’t you tell him? He tries to be understanding because like maybe you didn’t think it was a big deal for some reason but also he feels like that should be important information to relay to him? #angstmaterial

You smiled as you found who you were looking for walking up only to see them with two other people.

Raine laughed when they saw your form debating whether to go see them or so they took it upon them self to help you .

“Alador Darius this is {y/n} my second in command in the bard coven”Raine said as they took you by the arm slowly moving you towards the now named adult.

“So your the witch Raine was muttering on about at the least meeting”Darius asked lowing him self to your eye line.

Your face flushed crimson as you backed away a little looking at Raine for some form of help .

“Our dear {y/n} has a hard time talking to new people or people in general so please be patient with them I need to go but I hope things go well” Raine said as they walked away from the group.

Your eye followed the mint hair person whit h earned a laughed from the two in frount of you.

“Raine said you can control magic with sound waves is that true?” Alador asked you noticed the purple gloop covering him head to toe.

You just nodded not being able to find your voice.

Soon the three of you were in Darius office when he made a small abomination,the two watched as you moved down to it as you tapped the table once beside it.

The abomination shifted shapes leaving to two shocked.

“Your incredible you know that right?” Darius laughed patting your back making you blush a little.

As time went on the three of you saw each other a lot more, you and alador spent time working with different abominations to see how your magic works.

One day it go a bit much for you.

It was a normal day for the two of you until the abomination got a little out of hand,Alador ran to shelled your frame whom was to focus on the spell that you didn’t know what was going on.as you felt the presence your eyes went back to normal and you looked up to see alador stand very VERY close to you.

“Are you ok your not hurt are you?” He asked holding you by the shoulder then other hand holding your chin moving your head cheacking for any sign that you were hurt.

“You worry to much I’m fine trust me “you smiled bring your hand up cupping his cheek.

His eyes widened.

“Oh sorry I ..I don’t know why I did that I em I need to go sorry “you babbeled your ears night with a blush.

You were quick to gather your beonglinv trying to get as far away from alador as you could by well let’s just say you didint get very far.

Summary: The reader is a Blight, and also the middle child who is often forgot about and ignored by both the Blights and everybody else. They’re not as famous as the Blight Twins or Amity, and they spend most of their time inventing abominations to TRY and impress their parents

Reader also has a similar personality to ROTTMNT Don, but I’m not sure if you’ve ever watched it so you can just ignore this bit if you haven’t :)

A/n: The way this is formatted seems like it was for a one-shot request, but you said headcannons. I'm sorry if this isn't what you wanted and I'll redo it if so. Also, I've never seen any tmnt things so sorry about that.

-Bro he GETS you.

-The feeling of your "guardian" (If you can even call them that) not paying attention to you. So thanks to Belos's, Odaila's (and Alador's to a lesser extent) "A+ parenting." Y'all both have parental issues.

-Hunter was never the best at comforting but if you are upset with your family problems he'll do what he would want people to do when he's upset. Which doesn't always work but he tries.

-Amity is a pretty good sibling she's not the best mainly when she was mean (Her green hair era.) But bro Hunter hates her even if she's trying her best.

-When Ecilpse Lake happens he is like 50 times meaner. Like dude even though she's not trying to upset you or anything, Hunter is pissed off because of any time she made you even slightly sad.

-When he learns you invent stuff he BEGS you to show him.

-Like even if you agree the first time he asks he counties to ask and you are like "Hunter I'm going to show you-"

-Also he complements them so much! He loves inventions of any kind, magic-based or not, he likes to learn how they work.

-If you tell him he is so invested. Like you can be talking for hours and he is fully listening the entire time.

Hey all Whumpy Whumper here reposting this chapter.

This is not a new chapter.

The streets of Bonesborough were empty as you trudged home, your limbs felt like lead and you were tired.

You’ve been tired for a while though, so it didn’t matter much.

Work was long, but then again it always is. You always try to work for as long as you can, it felt stabilising, almost like splitting yourself in two; one of you for work, and the other for when you’re not working.

You exit the town and walk through the small surrounding forest, tracking mud into your boots with each step you took.

You continued to walk up the familiar dirt path until you reached a small area of smaller houses. Most of the houses there were run down or destroyed, only two houses still stood; the house you shared with your friend Raine and the house which seemed to be a hangout place for young witches.

You walked through the overgrown shrubbery, waving at the group of teens as you did before stopping in your tracks. An abomination was stood outside your house.

You looked back at the group; they all shrugged their shoulders when you gestured to the creature.

Groaning loudly, you walk up to your house, opening the door and entering, the abomination followed suite.

You heard talking as you entered and found Raine sat with your brother and sister-in-law, discomfort clear in their expression and posture.

“Hey?”, you questioned, everyone’s eyes found you, “what’s going on?”

Raine stood up quickly, saying goodbye to your ‘guest’ and walked out the door, where they were off to you didn’t know.

You sat down in the seat they had previously occupied and half smiled at your family.

“Alador, Odalia, a lovely surprise. What can I do for you?”, you asked, trying to be as polite as possible.

Odalia smiled stiffly at you, “Oh, well, you know we love to stop by and check up on you, dear.”

You raised your eyebrow slightly at her comment; you hadn’t seen your family since Amity’s tenth birthday about five years ago.

“Well, I’m doing great.”, you responded, frustration starting to rise when you saw Odalia open her mouth.

“Are you though? You’re not working a fair job, your house is practically falling apart, you live in an atrocious area and your roommates is rarely here! Did you not see how quickly he left?”

“Firstly, Raine’s pronouns are they and them”, you huff, “secondly, I’m doing fine; my house isn’t falling apart, this area is fine, I choose how I work myself so it is fair and Raine is a Coven head, they always leave for the Bard Coven at this time.”

For the first time since they had arrived, Alador spoke up, “We’re simply worried about you, are we not allowed to worry for our family?”

“Why are you here? I want the real answer.”, you demanded, sick of whatever game they were playing.

Odalia’s face quickly turned sour as she glared at you. “Edric, Emira and Amity are starting to get interested in spending time with you. And, because you’re family, we are letting them. However, I do want them looking up to someone, worthwhile. Currently, you are not that. Which is why we came here today; we have an offer for you!”

You stared at your sister-in-law for a moment before motioning for her to continue.

“As you know, Blight Industries is a big part of the Abominations Society and because of this we are able to speak directly to the Abominations Coven, though we mostly refrain from doing so. Well, the Headwitch is looking for a new assistant and we, being as generous as we are, put your name in to be considered for an interview Nd, you were! Your interview with the Headwitch is in two days.”

You stared at Odalia, speechless, your brain fruitlessly trying to process what was just said to you.

“Wait, wait, wait,” you began, waving your hands slightly, “you got me a job interview? With the Headwitch of the Abominations Coven? Why?”

“We already told you why.”

“No, no, I get that,” you replied, “I just don’t understand why you went through the efforts of getting me that interview.”

Odalia smiles at you and you felt a shiver run down your spine, “because we care about you, isn’t that reason enough?”

After that the two stood to leave, you followed them to the door, waving them off and shutting the door.

The whole room seemed to swim as you just stood there, but you quickly took a hold of yourself.

You knew what they were doing, it was obvious but you did feel grateful for them, this job could do you well.

You sigh and run your hands over your head, you were tired.

You were also hungry but you ignored it, it wasn’t important.

So, you go off to bed, getting dressed and climbing in. You were just about to drift off when you heard your crow cawing.

You reach over and grab the bird, holding it to your ear as you answered it.

“Hello?”

“Hi!”, the shrieks of you niece and nephew came from the other side and you could vaguely hear Amity shushing her siblings.

“Hey you three, what’s going on?”

Edric and Emira quickly began to talk over each other, excitedly telling you about their day.

“So, what did you think of mom and dad’s surprise?”, Edric asked.

You hummed slightly, “It was nice, I guess. A new job would probably be good for me.”

You continued to talk you your nieces and nephew for a little while longer; Amity complaining about how she lost her gold star to someone named ‘Willow’, but then they needed to go, they said their goodbyes, promising to talk to you again soon.

You let your crow fly away and lay back down, staring at your ceiling.

You thought back to Odalia and your job offer; your interview was in two days-

Wait, two days?

“Shit!”, you yelp, tumbling out of bed, “I’ve got a job interview in two days!”

You run over to your wardrobe and clothes drawer, looking through it for something nice to wear for it.

Pulling out various outfits and throwing them onto your bed, you realised something else.

“I’m getting interviewed to be the assistant to the Headwitch of the Abominations Coven by the Headwitch of the Abominations Coven. Titan, I need to pick out something really nice or he won’t even glance at me.”

You continue to search through your clothes, you sorted them into three piles; Alright, Guess, No and Titans, No.

Most of your clothes were in the last two piles. In fact, you only had one thing in you ‘Alright’ pile; a dress.

You felt yourself cringe as you looked it over, you hadn’t worn it in a while, you didn’t know if you wanted to wear it, you don’t know why you even kept it, but it was the only thing you owned that was nice enough for this.

You hung the dress up beside your mirror and examined it, checking for holes or stains, you don’t know why you checked it, you had only ever worn it once.

You felt static in your ears as you thought of that night.

You had worn it to go to an event with your brother, Odalia had just had Amity so you offered to go in her place, and it was nice for the most part. However, during the night, someone said something to you that made you feel awful.

For most of the night, you simply talked to other upper-class witches, they were all so interested in the fact that you were a Blight, when it happened.

Someone had walked past you, and put their arm on your waist, this startled you and you had quickly turned to face them, but when you did the person just smiled.

“Well, well, well, aren’t you a sight! You’ll be fun to take home!”

The rest of the night was a blur for you, you just remembered sticking close to Alador until you both left.

You shuddered, that was the first and last time you wore the dress, it was also the last time you went to an event with your family. You looked over the dress again, suddenly hating it. Why couldn’t you just wear the stupid dress? That comment was made years ago! It doesn’t matter anymore! You’re just overreacting like always!

You felt tears run down you face and breathing became difficult. Your legs felt like jelly and you fell, you couldn’t breath. You drew a fast circle in the air and the dress promptly caught fire, purple silk turning black and then disappearing.

You stare at the place your dress hung, trying to even out your breaths, the mirror had black smoke stains on it.

After you became calm enough, you stood back up, wiping your face with your shirt.

“Well, now I really don’t have anything to wear.” You whispered to yourself jokingly.

You shuffled through your clothes before just giving up and deciding to buy a new outfit tomorrow.

You sigh tiredly and flop onto your bed, falling asleep before you even hit your pillow.

( 13. ) Hi! Hope your having a nice day! could I request a Hunter x Shapeshifter!reader just some hcs of Hunter w a reader who can turn into different animals and mimic people/voices and uses said abilities to be a menace and cause chaos just cuz they can no real reasoning behind it it’s just fun.

Also here’s some ideas I’ve had about reader for if you do choose to do this request that might help!

-> I feel like reader would probably be able to change their body to be able to take on like a half form of things so like they could give them-self ears or like wings (I personally rlly like wings) and depending on if they have a ‘Main form’ of sorts they could probably have some of the features of that thing like idk enhanced hearing or their good at being quiet/Sneaky.

You notice your boyfriend weren’t with you but it didn’t bother as much as you knew it should of having found finding your self the first to sleep and first to wake up you where often in an empty bed you though tonight was no different.

Your eyes felt heavy as you stared to diffe off when the light of your bed room where turned on.

A muffled sound left your lips as you heard laughed.

Two figures watched as you pulled a pillow over your head to block out the light.

“Sorry love” alador said his voice was rough but gentle at the same time.

“Move over hun”darius said as he moved into his side of the bed.

Moving the pillow your tired eyes looked up at your boyfriend.

Before you.

“Poke”you moved your finger to poke him in the face doing so two more times before putting your head on his chest.

Leaving darius confused and alador laughing.

“They spend to much time with you” the purple haired male said looking at his boyfriend as he wrapped his arms around you.

“Sorry baby go back to sleep now”alador whispered in your ear his chest fully agent your side.

Hoodwinked - prologue

You’d think being part of one of the most renowned, richest witch families on the Boiling Isles would be great, right?

Yeah, no.

Being a Blight sounds fun on paper. No worrying about money, being in the Emperor’s good books, plus your parents would be gifted, so that means you’ll be naturally gifted too! 

Well, not you. Your siblings, perhaps. But you’re lacking in the talented gene, unfortunately. 

You’re painfully average. You get mostly Bs and Cs in your oracle class, you never really had something unique about you, so your parents never quite spent any money on extracurricular classes. 

But you’ve seen how they treat Amity. She’s always dozing off on the dinner table, with her nose buried in a book. And she hasn’t been attending sibling sleepovers, which you take personal offense to. 

It’s not like it’s her fault, though. It’s your parents, those two menaces, who force her to enter coven tryout from coven tryout, extra class after extra class…honestly, you felt bad for your little sister, but what could you do? You’re powerless against your parents. They would burn down Blight Industries before lending you an ear–

“(Reader)!” snapped your mother, causing you to leave your mind rant. “You’re slowing down again.”

“Sorry, Mom.” you said through your teeth, beginning to sweep once again. 

It was dark in the factory, and silent. You much prefer this than the loud cheering of those crude investors that filled the space moments before. 

But still, silence with your parents was hell. 

Your mother turns to your father, who is tidying up the Abomaton prototype. Her scowl turns sweet. 

“Despite the..er, spectacle Amity and that human caused, this was quite a successful sale!” she beams, patting his shoulder, “Excellent job on the 2.0, dear.”

“Yes.” a new voice says abruptly, causing you to drop your broom. 

A crimson glow enfolds the broom, and it floats into your palm. Your gaze never leaves the dark where the source of the voice came from, however. 

A new figure steps into the light. Your eyes widened, and you knew exactly who this was. 

His crisp white cloak trailed behind as he put back his mechanical staff behind him, the gem still glowing dimly. The gold mask, like a barn owl, flashes. You and your parents stare in awe as where he stood, with two coven scouts standing behind him. 

Mother falls to her knees, and pulls down Dad. You follow their steps.

“Your Abomatons are quite extraordinary.” The Golden Guard continues, stopping a few feet in front of you. “ Too bad no one will be receiving them.”

You stare up at him in shock, mouth opening to object. 

Then, his head snaps to you. “Care to add anything, Blight?”

“They mean no harm!” Mother says hastily, giving him a quick glance before glaring at you. You close your mouth. 

“Hm.” his gaze lingers on your face another moment before he clears his throat, “As I was saying, your Abomatons are rather…astounding. Head Witch Deammone gives his regards.”

You feel a grin tug at your lips as you see your father scowls, reminding you of how Amity makes that red angry face when she’s annoyed at the twins. 

“The Emperor has heard of your products, and will personally fund research into making them stronger.”

“That’s great news! We are honored to have—” your mother flushed, smiling, but the Golden Guard cuts her off. 

“You should be. The Emperor doesn’t take kindly to citizens making….private armies.” 

Another glance to you, before he turns around. The scouts mimic him. “We will send a ship with coven officials to see what you can offer tomorrow. Good evening.”

And as hasty as he arrived, he left into the shadows. 

Your parents exchanged a worried glance before standing once more.
