مکہ مکرمہ میں مسجد الحرام میں مسعی (سعی کی کرنے کی جگہ) کے توسیعی منصوبے کے نتیجے میں اب اس کی کُل منزلوں کی تعداد 4 ہو گئی ہے جن کا مجموعی رقبہ 87 ہزار مربع میٹر سے تجاوز کر چکا ہے۔ منصوبے کے ایک ذمہ دار کا کہنا ہے کہ "رواں سال رمضان المبارک میں مطاف کے میزانائن کو پُل کے ذریعے مسعی کے میزانائن سے ملا دیا گیا ہے۔ قابل ذکر بات یہ ہے کہ معذور افراد کے لیے داخل ہونے کے دو راستے ہیں۔ مغربی سمت سے آنے والوں کے لیے "جسر شبیکہ" اور جنوبی سمت سے آنے والوں کے لیے "جسر جیاد" ہے۔ سعودی حکومت کی جانب سے حرم شریف کی نئی توسیع کے نتیجے میں ایک گھنٹے کے اندر مجموعی طور پر 1 لاکھ 18 ہزار افراد سعی کرسکیں گے۔ مسعی کی بالائی منزلوں تک پہنچنے کے لیے خودکار متحرک زینوں اور لفٹوں کے علاوہ تین پُل بھی موجود ہیں۔

اس سلسلے میں معتمرین نے مسعی کی نئی توسیع پر مسرت و افتخار کے ملے جلے جذبات کا اظہار کیا۔ ایک بزرگ معتمر کے مطابق سابق فرماں روا شاہ عبداللہ بن عبدالعزیز کے دور سے موجودہ خادم حرمین شریفین شاہ سلمان بن عبدالعزیز کے دور تک ہونے والی توسیعات قابل تحسین ہیں۔ ایک دوسرے معتمر نے اپنے خیالات کا اظہار کرتے ہوئے کہا کہ صفا اور مروہ کے درمیان چار منزلہ مسعی نے لوگوں کی ایک بڑی تعداد کو اپنے اندر سمو لیا ہے اور حالیہ توسیع کے بعد معتمرین کو سو فی صد راحت اور آرام میسر آرہا ہے۔ مسعی کے منصوبے کی عمارت اپنی تمام منزلوں، سعی اور دیگر خدمات کے علاقوں سمیت مجموعی طور پر تقریبا 1 لاکھ 25 ہزار مربع میٹر پر مشتمل ہے۔ اس سے اندازہ ہوتا ہے کہ حکام، اژدہام کو انتہائی حد تک کم کرنے اور مناسک کی ادائیگی کے لیے نقل و حرکت کو آسان بنانے کی کس قدر خواہش رکھتے ہیں۔
