Concept: Akutagawa finds Atsushi.

Akutagawa tracks down the tiger and has an intense and admittedly thrilling fight with it. He realises there’s something more to this beast when its claws cut through Rashomon.

And then sunlight rears its head and the tiger transforms into a confused and terrified Atsushi.

Of course only an ability user could perform such a feat. But rather annoyingly Atsushi has no recollection of him or their fight not even that he can transform.

Akutagawa of course tells him because to keep such a thing a secret is ridiculous. The longer he spends around this guy the more annoyed and confused he feels.

He hates it when Atsushi looks at him with a familiar look in his eyes and tells him he has nothing to live for.

Especially when Akutagawa can see it so clearly that all Atsushi wants is to live.

“You want a purpose? Then follow me.” He says, turning his heel and walking into the darkness. Atsushi eyes him wearily but to his credit he carries on

“Huh? Where are we going?”

“A restaurant. You look like you’re about to pass out.”

“Oh, thank you.”

“Don’t thank me. When you’re fed you will begin your life anew. I’m going to tear the weakness from within you.

You want to earn the right to live? Crush all that believe you should perish. The strong do not need such permission.”

“I…Okay.” Atsushi stood tall and the look on his face is nothing but determined. “Where do I start?”

Hm, perhaps there was hope for him after all.

The Boss would certainly be pleased.

akutagawa, worried and angry: is he hurt? why did no one inform--

kunikida: what? no!

kunikida: he did something reckless, so he's in trouble. his punishment is that he can't see you

kunikida: but since your already here, here's the agency's grocery list for the week

akutagawa:

kunikida: you can see atsushi again next week
