Akutagawa: I’m not gonna tell you!…but if you found out on your own that would be okay, and then we could talk about it, right?

Atsushi: Well then it wouldn’t be a secret, so, yeah, that would be okay. Yeah, yeah.

Akutagawa: Yeah. [Pause] Hey, uh, Jinko would you mind going over into Dazai-san’s dorm and getting that book back that he, uh, borrowed from me?

Atsushi: *Panicking* Now? You want me to go over there now?

Akutagawa: Hmm, yeah.

Atsushi: *Suspiciously* Do you know something?

Akutagawa: Do you know something?

Atsushi: I might know something.

Akutagawa: I might know something, too.

Atsushi: What’s the thing you know?

Akutagawa: Oh no. I can’t tell you until you tell me what you know.

Atsushi: I can’t tell you what I know.

Akutagawa: Then, I can’t tell you.

Atsushi: Okay, fine.

Akutagawa: Fine.

Atsushi: *Scoffs* You don’t know.

Akutagawa: Alright, how about I go over there and I will walk into Dazai’s dorm and I will see the thing that I think that I know is actually the thing that I think that I know.

Atsushi: *Gasps* You know!

Akutagawa: And you know!

Atsushi: Yeah, I know!

Akutagawa: Dazai and Chuuya-san?! Oh, this is unbelievable! How long have you known?!

Atsushi: Too long! Oh my god, Ryu. I’ve been dying to talk to someone about this for so long! But listen, listen.

Akutagawa: Okay.

Atsushi: You can’t say anything to anybody. They’re so weird about that. Listen…

Kyouka: [Enters the room]

Atsushi and Akutagawa: Hey-y-y!

Atsushi: Kyouka-chan!

Kyouka: Hey. It’s raining. I don’t like to practice in the rain, so…

Atsushi: Oh! I am gonna go for a walk in the rain. Haha! [Exits]

Akutagawa: Oh, yeah, me too. [Follows]

Kyouka: That’s weird. [Pause] I bet they’re doing it.

Bungou Stray Dogs- Opposite Ability AU

I really want to make a long fic that goes alongside cannon events and explains everything that would happen in this AU.

Imagine the cast of BSD, but their abilities are opposite. Like, Dazai's ability to nullify other abilities on contact becomes the ability to amplify other's abilities on contact. Since OG Dazai's ability works like an on/off switch, OPP Dazai's works on a spectrum, the more he touches someone, the more powerful their ability becomes. And, it doesn't just 'stop' when he stops touching them, the effect slowly wears off, which leaves the ability user craving the power Dazai can grant them. Instead of 'No Longer Human', they are 'Not Held by Human Binds', surpassing what power one human should be capable of.

Chuuya and Dazai are never paired up as Soukoko, because Chuuya's ability is a Singularity, meaning it becoming too powerful is the issue.

Dazai is never given Akutagawa to mentor, as Akutagawa needed to learn precision over pure power.

Dazai never leaves the Port Mafia, as his loyalty lies with Mori, it seems.

Atsushi never meets Dazai drowning in the river, never joins the Armed Detective Agency, never engages against the Port Mafia- But, he does have a bounty over his head. Several groups try their luck at capturing 'The Moonlit Tiger'

Once three years ago these were drawings united by songs on one album, but they became separate and now belong to different stories and songs. You can read my brief thoughts on this below close up

Actually close up:

Akutagawa is a heart. A heart that trembles and is afraid, but goes on. It is stony and hardened, unable to see that it is drawn to this scary but warm feeling

Atsushi is the one who steals pain. For some reason, he knows who to tell and what to say to make it happen. Atsushi doesn't attach importance to this, he does what he thinks is right.

Chuuya does. Maybe he would like to do the same. Maybe he thinks he doesn't know how to do it. It is his pain. What Chuuya doesn't realize is that he is already stealing somebody's pain.

Dazai is a cavity. Lost in his thoughts, focused on himself, he only knows that he is not alone, but he feels opposite. The cavity in him is actually filled, but he won't notice it until someone pulls the red thread
