• What are Annette's opinions on her oh-so-dear (sarcasm) son-in-law Jacob Frye? I mean, I remember seeing you awnsering about Evie's opinion on Dottie, I would like to know the other side of the table. lol

• Could we have some nice curiosities about babies Eva and Robin? I'm soft for them bc they are two patooties who are so kind, they deserve the world 🥹🤲🏽

• Does Dottie have associates she has relations with? (Historical or not lol)

• Does Canon!Dottie has friends with other OCs? (I read she has a dear friendship with a certain journalist lady BUT I am curious if she had more people she held in great regards)

Hello Hello @aiza-luna <3 thank you for answering my request for an ask and most important of all, thank you so much for indulging me on Syndicate. Sometimes I think I have spoken so much about it that people there might be nothing left to talk about lolol (and they would be so wrong. so wrong lololol).

And do not worry about spamming with lots of questions! When I have enough mental spoons to answer, I am always glad to do so <3 So, lemme tackle all of these. Buckle up because it’s going to be a long one.

Annette’s opinion on Jacob. Let’s start by saying that this is an hypothetical one, because she never met Jacob, not as Dottie’s intended or husband, at least. But I can very much tell you that Annette would have not liked Jacob for Dottie, not one bit, and this is partially due to the different stations Dorothea and Jacob belong to, and partially because Annette would have thought Jacob incautious, deranged and a potential source of trouble and danger for her daughter. She might have admired the guts he had in going head to head against Byron, out of the enormous love that Jacob has for Dottie, but she still would have not appreciated him. At all. Between you and me, Crawford was far more reasonable than Annette in terms of this. Annette is one hell of an helicopter parent, and one of the many reasons as to why Dottie’s emotional growth was kinda stunned and she was far more immature than she ought to be.

Eva and Robin are the darlings of the Starrick-Frye household, most definitely because between the six of them, they are the calmest and the sweetest of them all (Lily and Uriel are always ready to throw hands to whoever would dare to speak ill of them and Gabriel is more than ready to post a very detailed defamatory article about whoever wants to hurt his brother and sister). They are also the least involved in any Assassin-Templar conflict , which makes them actually civilians(not that it served them any good, considering the tragedy of 1888, but eh). Anyway, Eva and Robin are considered the artists of the house: Robin’s watercolours are the joy and pride of Jacob, who keeps all his artworks in his workshop at Dover, in the ancestral house of the Starrick, where they all reside after the events of my story. Also, Robin is a wanderer, and together with Gabriel, they have traveled for two years in Denmark and Sweden, where Robin had the chance to draw all sort of beautiful landscapes. Eva, instead, has inherited Dorothea’s voice, and she loves to sing to her siblings and to her children, but she is too shy to do so in front of others, and differently from her mother, she didn’t want to make a career out of it, preferring remaining at home (which makes sense, considering, again, what happened in 1888). She is also a very good seamstress, something that she picked up from Elinor Rebecca Morgan, another dearest friend to Dorothea, and she actually loves to sew for her entire family. It helps calm her nerves.

Dottie has PLENTY of historical associates, some that I actually quotes in the story and some that are just present in my story bible :) Dorothea, because she is such a huge bookworm, has woven several epistolary relationships with various author of the time (which also happen to be some of my most favourites). I dare say that the most significant relationships at the time were between R.L. Stevenson, to whom she spoke aplenty of Byron and his adventures at sea before he joined the Templars (and I HC in my story that these tales would later inspire Stevenson for the character of Captain Flint - which is just a huge inside joke with myself because Byron’s FC was actually James Flint in Black Sails lol); Another important one is J. Barrie, though she would meet him later in life,in 1904, after she brought Gabriel and Uriel to watch the performance of “Peter and Wendy”. This correspondence and friendship would be born thanks to Gabriel, actually. He fell so in love with the play that he pleaded his mother to meet the person that wrote it, and we can say that after meeting Mr. Barrie, Gabriel decided to become a writer. The third one was Lewis Carrol that Dorothea contacted while pregnant with Emmett because she had grown immensely fond of Alice in Wonderland, and would often read it to both herself and unborn Emmett, to escape the pain she felt in not having Jacob by her side during such a delicate time nd all the trauma she had for what was happening during the Templar- Assassins War. Also, thanks to her mother’s connection, Dorothea was also in contact with Hans Christian Andersen, whom she meet in her childhood whenever they traveled, accompanied by her mother and Byron, to visit the branch of their family that resided in Köpenhamn and later on, she was mentored and couched in Operatic singing by Johanna Maria Lind, the Swedish Nightingale, and she maintained a respectful friendship with her until Lind’s death, in 1887.

mmm Currently speaking, Canon!Dottie only OC friend is indeed Magnolia, Crowie’s beautiful baby girl and my own fictional goddaughter, and they are as thick as thieves :D She is going to be featured in my story, as agreed with Crowie, because Magnolia is Gabriel’s mentor and her daughter is actually Mel, the beautiful girl that Emmett is having a tryst with in Chapter 3 of ITHOTM. Crowie and I have our fun writing together, and I can definitely say that Dorothea adores Magnolia to bits. TO BITS. She is ready to sic all the Templars on whoever is looking at her funny lolol That being said, I am always happy to have her other OCs friends :)

Now, onto Unity! :D

Colette and Arno’s family! So, I envisioned, a long while ago, that Colette and Arno would have only one child, one daughter, Aimée. The reason for this is that Colette almost died during her pregnancy, and despite the relief they all felt once they were reassured that both Colette and Aimée were in stable condition and they both would be ok on the long run, Arno was ADAMANTLY against Colette carrying another one of his children. They both wanted to have at least three children, but after that nightmare, Arno was not having any of it (and that was probably the very first time he and Antoine were in absolute agreement over something). So Aimée would grow up to be an only child, pretty much like her father, but she would be spoiled and adored by her aunts and her uncle (plus, she got plenty of cousins to play with thanks to her Aunt Dorlé and Uncle Mathias eheheh). And no, your memory doesn’t fail you: Victor Auguste Arnaud Dorian is infact the Templar that joined the British Order during Dorothea’s time (a bit earlier than Dorothea though, considering that he is Byron’s pupil), and he is Aimée’s youngest son. his story is a rather sad one, because he was born in a family of Assassins, but due something that happened in his family - kinda influenced by Jean De Beaumont, nonetheless- he decided that he wanted nothing to do with the Assassins’ cause and actually found a safe haven in London, where he would be recruited into the British Order by Byron himself. (thank you for giving me the opportunity of speaking of my babbus from Unity. I so rarely get the occasion :) )

Now onto Lucia and her relationship with the Auditores!

Lemme start by saying that Lucia is a little shit. Or rather, she becomes one once she starts hanging out with Claudia. She is always dutiful, always kind, but fml, she starts to live her life to the fullest, especially once she starts her training as an Assassin under Claudia: they are just two little shits together who loves to give Federico an heart attack lolol. Also, Girl Power to the extreme, because I said so. Now, Petruccio and Lucia are really close, if anything because Fiammetta, Lucia’s sister, is Petruccio’s intended, and may God have mercy on his soul, because Fiammetta’s name wasn’t given to her only because of her auburn hair, but also for her exuberant personality and short temper. Lucia is much calmer than Fiammetta, pretty much on the same level as Petruccio, and they both like to enjoy quiet time together, whenever the rest of the family is too busy being too chaotic. Now, Ezio instead is a bit of a conundrum for Lucia, because all his gallivating kinda leaves her with a bad taste to her mouth, and she probably likes to tease him that he is going to have more descendents than Gengis Khan, if he keeps having all those affairs. They like each other though, even if sometimes Lucia thinks that Ezio can be a bit too intense.

"I was just about to sit with Eri and ask how her first day went. I'm assuming you are Mr. Aizawa that Mirio spoke of this morning?" He walked over towards you and bowed, "I am, but you may call me Shouta." You typically had the parents call you Miss L/N, but for some reason, you introduced yourself as Y/N L/N. "But you can call me Y/N." "It's a pleasure to meet you, Y/N," he said as he still bowed to you. He finally rose up, and you got a better look at him up close. There was something about him that was...beautiful.

He made your heart beat fast; no one has had this kind of effect on you since Kento. You tried to shake the thought out of your head; you made a vow during Kento's funeral to close your heart off to anyone else. You weren't going to let these strange feelings get in the way. "Well, Shouta, it seems like little Eri here had a decent first day." You pulled out her colored mandala and showed it to him; she chose shades of purple, green, and black. "Interesting," he said quietly. You weren't sure what he meant by that, but he chose not to elaborate.

"Well, since I'm running late, I'll take Eri and get going. Thank you for staying with her." You nodded and smiled at him in return, and said bye to Eri. He took a still-beaming Eri by the hand, and took their leave out of the classroom. You couldn't help but look after him as he left with Eri. What was it about him that made him have that effect on you? Once again, you tried to shake your head of these thoughts, got your belongings together, and left for home.

When you got home, you couldn't help but think of Shouta's reaction to Eri's colored mandala; the fact that all he said was, "interesting." You wondered if the colors she chose had anything to do with her past. Maybe you would ask him when you could find the opportunity to. If he'd permit it, you would like a better understanding of Eri's past, so you know what brought her to your classroom. It would be hard to get to talk to him about it, though, during drop off or pick up. You'd have to be creative and think of a way of speaking with him while Eri wasn't around.

The rest of Eri's first week seemed to go by relatively well. She was very quiet and didn't interact much with the other students, but she completed all of her assignments as directed. You were a little concerned about the fact that she wasn't interacting much with the other students, however, it was only her first week. Perhaps she just needed a little more time. You would bring it up to the U.A. if it became an issue. For now, you were going to let it be.

Along with the rest of her classmates, you did a variety of activities with them. One day, you had them draw sketches of whatever came to mind. Another day, you had them paint rocks, and you all took a walk to the local park to leave the rocks around the park. Your theory for this was that through their paintings, they could bring joy to someone's day by finding the rock as they were walking in the park. Then another day, you bought a bunch of random magazines, and had them create collages using pictures, words, or letters from the magazines.

At the end of the day on Friday, you gathered up all of the students' drawings and collages, and waited for everyone's parents or guardians to pick them up. You felt your heart beat faster again at the sight of Shouta walking in to pick up Eri, but you tried to act cordial towards him like you did with the rest of the adults. You heard him ask Eri to go stand outside in the hallway and wait by the door while he spoke with you. Once again, your heart started beating faster when you saw him walking over towards you.

"Hello, Y/N," he said. "Hello, Mr. Aiza---Shouta, sorry," you said with a small grin. He looked up at you, "I just wanted to thank you for accepting Eri into your class. I know it's only been a week, but I wanted to see if I could set up some time with you next week to talk about her past, why she's here, and her progress." You looked over at him and smiled, "I think that would be a great idea." Shall we meet here in the classroom after school on Monday?" "That would be good," he replied, "I will bring a friend with me to take Eri back to the campus so I can stay behind."

"Sounds like a date!" you exclaimed, and you instantly felt the horror creeping up in you. Why did you just say that?! Your face must have been beat red because you could feel how hot your cheeks were. Shouta just looked at you curiously. "I'm so sorry, I don't know why I said that. I meant to say it 'sounds like a plan'." He just looked at you and slightly grinned, "it's no problem. I don't want to keep Eri waiting any longer, so I will see you on Monday?" Your face was still hot and you felt like an idiot, but you still replied, "yes, I will see you then."

I will draw Dottie like this, because honestly, the whole pose is just *PERFECT* for a portrait (and I might borrow a few gowns from this movie because omg, the blue striped one is one of my fave).

Also, fact about Dottie in this particular AU that I was sharing with aiza-luna earlier.

Dorothea is the Grand Master of the British Rite during the events of Rogue because she coordinated with Haytham the killing of Reginald Birch, and then took over the reins of the British Rite.

Differently from her Syndicate AU, where despite being indoctrinated into the Templar Tenets ever since she was a bab she was still offered another POV thanks to meeting Jacob, in her AU with Shay she doesn't get the same chance: she doesn't get that moment of hesitation that makes her wonder and ponder if the Order is all there is and if she is doing the right thing by following in her father's footsteps.

In her AU with Shay, she fully embraces who she is and what the game is all about, and I like to think that she was the reason she also managed to keep the Assassins out of London after Birch's death.

Also, in this AU, she is older compared to Syndicate (in Syndicate, she is barely 19 years old, while in Rogue, she is 31 years old), so she is way more assertive and has more experience of the world. and those experiences have tempered her in a Dorothea that still has her characteristic delicate elegance but with iron underneath.

Also, I like to imagine that she is also cheekier and much more comfortable with her sexuality and sexual life, compared to Syndicate, where, let's be honest, she is a dork potato.

also I want to draw them digitally but I don’t have an app to use. So for now I’ll just have to use my sketchbook. If anyone has any recommendations for apps I can use please comment.

Just one more thing, I would like to talk about some of the dynamics Asha and Aiza have with the rest of the cast.

The hotel:

I’ve already talked about their relationships with Alastor. So I’ll skip him.

Charlie: I see Asha being appreciative of Charlie and she definitely looks up to her. Aiza respects her because of Asha. I wouldn’t exactly say Charlie is a motherly figure to them. But she’s not exactly an older sister or aunt figure either.

Vaggie: She hates them. Aiza looks up to Alastor whom we all know Vaggie despises. And as far as she’s concerned Asha is trying to take Charlie away.

Angel: They both adore Angel. Aiza and Angel definitely have a more casual relationship, drinking and gossiping. But Asha has a bit of a deeper connection. I don’t know exactly how she managed to get him to open up. Maybe she took care of Fat Nuggets when the piggy wiggled out of Angels room. Maybe she saw a bruise or a cut on him that Valentino left and she patched him up.

Husker: Aiza loves him because he has booze and gossip about everyone around the hotel, though Husk won’t admit it, it does feel nice to vent his frustrations to her. Asha enjoys playing card games with him but their friendship doesn’t really go any deeper, she’s always a good sport about loosing though.

Nifty: Freaks Asha out. Aiza adores her though. The podcaster was into all things ghoulish and creepy so her and Nifty are like two peas in a pod.

I have no clue if they come to the hotel before or after Pentious’ death/redemption

(I’m adding Luci just because I can and I feel like he’ll have a bigger role in season 2): The three do not see eye to eye. I can’t exactly tell you guys why they don’t like him because it gets into spoiler territory but I can say this; he doesn’t like them because he’s jealous that they’re immediately on good terms with Alastor after he took them in. He’s less mad at them and more angry at Alastor for having parenting come so easily to him when he’s been trying so hard with Charlie.

The Vees:

Vox: Al and Vox’s rivalry is very well known. Aiza takes on Al’s disdain for Vox because of two reasons. A. Alastor’s disdain. And B. Because Asha has a bit of a school girl crush on Vox.

Velvette: Aiza finds Velvette’s designs to be a tacky. Velvette once called Aiza pathetic for trying to emulate Alastor and the two have been trying to one up each other. Though it is very one sided on Aiza’s part. I truly don’t think Velvette cares about her unless they are within 5 feet of each other.

Valentino: Asha and Valentino were kind of thrown together to tie a nice little bow on the Rivalries but nonetheless they do not get along. Because of Asha’s feelings about Vox and her relationship with the other residents of the hotel (Angel) she despises Valentino. These two are really only fighting when they are with their respective teams though. The hate is real but they will go out of their way to avoid each other. Mostly because Val thinks Asha is a prude and a waste of time and Asha doesn’t want to bring attention to herself.
