I think the wildest thing about reading the brothers karamazov is how all the reviews I saw led me to believe that it was gonna be like some dense philosophy textbook or something. and yeah it's philosophical but it's also fucking hilarious. like why did no one tell me that it's funny??? the scene where mitya is on the verge of having a breakdown and madame khokhlakov is like "the mines, dmitri......you must go to the mines!!".....deeply unserious. I can't read this book in public because it keeps making me laugh out loud

Owen chuckles drily from the side, looking up from where he was texting, “His mother almost showed up here, ready to drag him back to the ranch and get some sleep and a shower. He’s been here – and in uniform – all night just to make sure that he was here when you woke up. He’s going to kill me, I said you wouldn’t be conscious any time soon.”

Aishu presses a call button as she helps TK sit up, smoothing his hair out. “He’ll be back in twenty minutes, I have no doubt Owen just texted him.”

TK’s stomach knots, and he clenches his fist, “Can you tell him not to come by? I don’t think I want to see him.”

He feels Aishu’s fingers tighten on his forearm, “Don’t – don’t do this to him, seriously. Just let him see you awake, once. He’s desperate, babe.”

TK just shakes his head, “I don’t want him here, okay? That’s that – I don’t want to argue this with anyone.”

Aishu lets go of him and pulls her phone out, barely looking at him, “I guess I get to go deliver the good news – I’ll be back in a couple hours.” She looks over at Owen, “do you need anything from the house?”

Owen shakes his head, pressing his lips together in a frown as he tracks Aishu around the room, “Aishwarya, are you okay?”

Aishu stops where she’s gathering her purse and dupatta, looking down at her belongings, avoiding eye contact, “I’m fine – I’m just trying to figure out how to tell Carlos he isn’t welcome here.”

TK clears his throat, “Why the fuck are you so concerned with how he’s going to take it?”

She cuts him a glance, and he’s shocked at the anger in her eyes. “Yeah, well, I have to go tell a man that felt the life bleed out of his best friend under his own hands that he doesn’t get to see that he’s okay with his own two eyes, and then make sure that he doesn’t do something stupid like try to come here anyway.”

Aishu doesn’t really leave TK a chance to rebuff her statements, throwing her dupatta over her neckline and grabbing her purse, leaving without a second glance.

Owen opens his mouth to say something, but Dr. Chen knocks on the door, stopping Owen from expressing anything.

Who is Aishu Hebiko, the Low-Ranking Ninja friend?

"Fuuma-chan, you can always count on me, Aishu Hebiko, from now on!"

As her title and quote imply, Hebiko has been a childhood friend of Kotaro Fuuma, being younger than him by a couple of years. She has harbored a crush on him for the longest time, which she is too shy to admit. She recently joined the Task Force as an active member.

Character-wise, Hebiko is friendly, protective of her friends and very upbeat. She's a bit insecure about her small height, claiming to be 150 cm tall and getting angry when people point out she's only 149 cm tall. She tends to not like planning too much and not have a mind for it, even if she will listen and dutifully follows orders given.

In battle she fights using a pair of daggers and her ninja Art: Beast Art: Devil Fish allows her to transform her legs into that of an octopus, giving her incredible reach and strength with them (she can use another pair of daggers on their ends, can use them to smack enemies extremely hard, use ink that is mildly poisonous and EXTREMELY stinky...)

Ein Fotodokument aus Japan geschickt. Günter Ihle empfing 2019 im August die Bauhauskünstlerin Aishu Gen und Chikae Bando aus Osaka in seinem Atelier. Aishu Gen hatte zu diesem Zeitpunkt ihre vielbeachtete „Form-Licht-Schatten“ Ausstellung im Rahmen der Feierlichkeiten zum 100en Bauhausjubiläum in der Stadtgalerie KUNST-GESCHOSS. Beide Kolleginnen waren begeistert vom Schaffen und Werk von Günter Ihle. Knapp drei Monate später verstarb er. Das große Triptychon im Hintergrund ist in der Ausstellung >in memoriam< zu sehen und käuflich zu erwerben.

Letzter Ausstellungstag - Heute, am Ostersonntag ist die Ausstellung noch bis 18 Uhr zu besichtigen!

The Calendar

There are two lunar calendars in the Jyotish Shastra… One is Purnaant and the other is Amaant…

There's a gap of 15 days between the two, although the order of the months are the same…

For instance, Deepavali's Lakshmi puja is on Purnaant Kartik Amavasya… while the same day is Amaant Ashwin Amavasya in some states…

So, the festival has a different reason in each region, and one common reason at the national level…

Like, the South, where the Lakshmi puja night of diwali is to recall the victory of Krishna over Narakaasur… In the North, it's for the return of Shri Ram to Ayodhya…

The concept of a civilisation made of many cultures dates back to the Treta Yug…

Diwali is celebrated for different days in different places… One day, three days, five days and eleven days… depending on the local history…

Yes… the different calendars, different cultures, but the same festivals, and the same civilisation…

You know, what… I think it's always an advantage when we do something that has no precedence… when there is nothing to refer…

This organisation of a nation is first envisaged in the chronicles of the satyug… each kingdom was called a country… group of countries was a region… the collective of regions was called a nation…

What calendar do I follow?

I follow Rishi Varāhamihira's Brihat Samhita… In that, there is no need of dividing time into months and years…

The movements of cosmic objects don't need a calendar to have months and years… Only days are enough… Just count the days from a no-moon or a new-moon… the patterns are measurable and predictable…

Like,

The diwali always happens on the same no-moon night… regardless of which month in which state…

Thus, all the differences are dissolved in the universal medium… 🙂

About the light…

Darkness is not displaced by light… darkness is eliminated by light…

तमसो मा ज्योतिर्गमय।

Easiest way to do it is: Use one lamp to light the next… A series of lamps… Hence, Deepavali… Deep + Aavali - strings of light…
