#tech outage is not the airlines’ fault obviously but how they’ve responded to it is #aka I checked in for my flight tomorrow this morning and they just now told me it’s been canceled #delta has 0 flights going out tomorrow #zilch #the few remaining (all Alaska or American) flights are nearly $500 for a one way ticket #and none of them get in until tomorrow evening #my step mom scheduled to have family photos taken tomorrow afternoon #and my dad originally paid for the ticket.#literally a situation designed to kill me via ultra concentrated eldest daughter guilt

You know, most of the time I feel like my anxiety prepares me pretty well for things, like--I've already imagined 1563+ ways this could happen and most of them wind up fine. And then my (almost certainly also adhd) mom happens to remember that she heard somewhere that Alaska airlines will no longer transfer your luggage to any other plane that's not one of their partnered companies, even if they are only flight one of three on your trip overseas, and when I looked it up it's true, and even though I called the help line and the help line said it would be a 5 minute wait I gave up after being on hold for 21 minutes, and it turns out I needed to imagine approx 10000000000 more ways that will irrevocably fuck up my life :)

#LUCKILY no tickets have been bought. yet.#but oh my fucking FUCK what a thing to a) casually remember after we've been discussing flights for literal months #and b) just ~DECIDE~ that your airline will no longer do one of its most basic fucking jobs!!!

me calculating all expenses if I ever push through going to australia just for a ritual

#to say at least it would suck me dry #cause as much as i'd like to go for brisbane for moots sighting the flight rate for that location is downright insane for rates >:((#while the other airlines has decent rate but only flies to melbourne unfortunately :((#but seriously though the former can suck my invisible dick cause what the fuck 900+ dollars for an all round trip? bruh #...then again might be over reacting about the price since i don't travel outside country- only like 3 but with my mom years ago #still an outrageous cost for the former airlines with that unless im dumb and that's somewhat normal for the airlines' rates #and that's not even covering the tickets and hotel expenses too if ever >:00 #this is why i say i'll sell my kidney about it

i am going insane

#i was gonna do the check in and print the tickets for the flight today #i bought them from kiwi and apparently you can't do the check in through kiwi but through each individual airline #the thing is #i go into ita airlines #i put the little silly number #i enter my surnames #and it says the surnames are wrong #i've tried everything #and every time i press the space bar to add the second surname it automatically marks it as wrong #i can only put one surname #but i have two surnames and there's two surnames in my reserve #i've tried dashes. not separating them. using only my first surname #nothing works #i'm about to end it #what the fuck is going on #also ryanair doesn't recognize the flight code which makes me extremely anxious but that's a problem for future vivi

had a dream that I needed a passport to fly domestically and I found out while at the airport trying to check in

#ME!#woke up in a fucking cold sweat #bc of the time our flight is there would still be enough time to drive down but #im gonna check the airline in a few minutes just to double check #I do not need a passport.
