Oh absolutely brutal that they’re the same exact spot as the day it all happened, with the same colour coding and everything. Kurogane standing in the same spot Fujitaka did and Fai standing in for Nadeshiko (one married couple switched for another).

And Lava Lamp is exactly the same in both frames, because he never moved on from this moment - it might as well be the same exact day.

And I think it shows the disproportionate burden Lava Lamp has taken on himself in this situation. He’s taken full responsibility for Sakura’s death and never let himself live a single moment that wasn’t spent fighting to reverse it - but he wasn’t the only one trying to save her.

He didn’t find a way to save her but neither did her parents. Two fully grown adults with far more power, authority, and resources also spent the same seven years trying to save Sakura and ALSO found nothing.

Lava Lamp has taken the burden of three people and put it only on himself - He says “I” never found a way to save her, but it should have been “We” never found a way to save her. AND he was a child. He couldn’t have been expected to be the sole factor that would have made the difference.

But that’s not how he sees it, and it’s not the way he’s lived his life.

i realized i might have been a bit too good at my own job in regards to the mud fic

should have added the unreliable narrator tag from the get go

I finally convinced my Eastern European mother that me and all of our relatives are neurodivergent and what have you accomplished today?

I love Matilda because it's a story about a child who sees injustice around her and gets mad about it and questions why things aren't fair, and instead of the ending being that she learns how the world works and that life isn't fair, she catapults one of the adults who abused her out of a building with her mind

i do unironically think the best artists of our generation are posting to get 20 notes and 3 reblogs btw. that fanfic with like 45 kudos is some of the best stuff ever written. those OCs you carry around have some of the richest backstories and worldbuilding someone has ever seen. please do not think that reaching only a few people when you post means your art isn't worth celebrating.

the older i get and the closer i am to reaching 30, the more the people around me try to deny me my age. it’s a constant ‘oh you’re just turning 29 again teehee 🤭’ or ‘dont tell your SO that, he’ll leave you for a younger model 😉’ and i just???? hate it?????????

i spent my entire teenaged years fighting for my life. i crawled through the deepest pits of my depression to cling to the promise of a life beyond that pain. i was so convinced that i was going to die young, that i would never see the grace of my age starting with a 2, let alone 3.

so im going to turn 30, and there’s not a damn thing anyone can do to stop me from loving it.
