I Saw You in My Dream first two episodes are interesting. They are mostly setting the plot and the characters, but it's really intriguing this idea of prophetic dreams centered around one person.

I think I'll find here what I was looking for in Dream the series where unfortunately the Dream Land didn't bring anything more in the stories. I may write more about it soon. I'm fascinated with things related to dreams and how they can be used as a "magical" device.

Aiyu trees depend on aiyu wasps and vice versa.

All the aiyu wasps are born inside of male aiyu flowers. Only the female ones fly out.

When the wasp flies into a male flower, she'll birth and produce more wasps, but this flower will not get pollenated. When she flies into a female flower, due to the structure of the flower, she will not get to produce, but the flower gets pollenated and will bear fruit which, by rubbing its seeds together, a gel will be produced. This gel becomes a jello-like substance when set. This is how we get Aiyu Jelly.

“Return my hoodies.” 

It is way too early for you to deal with this. You groan and roll over in your bed, willing Mingyu to leave your room. You hear rustling all around your room as Mingyu rummages through your closet. A whine escapes you when your blanket pulls off you, leaving you shivering and exposed.

“Come on, I know my children are in here somewhere.”

“Why are you here so early?” you grumble, sitting up. It’s a beautiful Sunday morning. The air is cool, and the wind blows through your room. It ticks all the boxes for the perfect Sunday morning sleep-in, yet you’re being jolted awake by the Kim Mingyu. Rubbing your eyes, you set your blurry sight at the foot of your bed as you take in his silhouette, snooping around the room. He’s unfazed as he goes through your room, looking under piles of clothing.

“I wanted to wear a hoodie today, but I couldn’t find any at home…” His voice trails as he busies himself with carding through your closet. “Aha! Here’s one!” Like a proud puppy showing off its stick, he lifts a grey hoodie like a prize. He gives it a little sniff, head tilting in confusion when he recognises his cologne still lingering on the item. “Is this recent?”

You stretch and yawn, reaching to pull the blanket back over you. “You left it here last Friday.”

“Last Friday? What would I be doing here– oh.” His cheeks burn bright red. “Right, right…” He clears his throat, slinging the hoodie over his shoulder while trying to avoid eye-contact with you. You scoff at his sudden shyness; no way actual campus-sex-god-reincarnate Kim Mingyu is getting shy over your hook-ups?!

“If that’s all you’re here for, can you shut the blinds on the way out?” You wave a hand away at him. You’ve just about settled into your pillows again when your blankets get pulled off you again. Your brows furrow as you stare up at the tall man crawling over you in your bed. “Gyu what the fuck!”

“There’s my other hoodie!” His eyes light up when he spots the second offending piece of clothing. 

You look down to where he’s staring. There you lay in bed, hair still mussed from sleep, wearing one of Mingyu’s oversized black hoodies and sleep shorts. You quickly wrap your arms around yourself, but Mingyu is faster; he’s on you in a heartbeat. Pinning your hands above your head is something Mingyu is no stranger to as he attempts to wrangle you out of his hoodie.

“No wai- Mingyu wait! Get off me you fool, you’re heavy!” Your whining elicits a husky laugh from him. You try to wrestle out of his grip, but he’s straddling your hips and effectively pinning you down with his weight. “Gyu!”

“Aww, c’mon Y/n!” he starts, grinning. “Why are you complaining? You liked screaming my name last time.” He has the audacity to wink at you as he pulls the hoodie off. The t-shirt underneath rides up your belly, and he takes the opportunity to stick his cold hands on the bare skin, revelling in the way your body shivers at his touch. 

A gasp. “Cold!”

“Revenge,” he puffs out his chest, satisfied. He’s about to slide off you when you seize the opportunity to tangle your legs with his and flip him over, with you straddling him instead. Mingyu yelps in surprise. Planting both palms on his chest, you smirk at his mildly amused face.

“You come into my house, strip me of my clothes–” 

“– It’s my hoodie, actually–”

“And you expect to just leave?!” You huff. “Way to treat a girl, Kim.”

You wiggle your hips and Mingyu’s hands immediately fly to your waist in an effort to still you. He smirks back at you, an eyebrow raised. “Yeah, that sounds like a problem.”

“Yeah?” you lean down, your chest flush against him as you whisper into his ears. “Then fix it.”

Random Thoughts about I Saw You In My Dream (EP 6):

I've said it once and I'm going to say it again, but this series is just so charming. It's going slowly, however you can't get bored. It's so fascinating to see Ai and Yu's relationship growing and changing from childhood frenemies to lovers.

I love how they are both really caring to one another. If everything started with Ai's dreams about Yu, I feel like his way of always being around Yu has made him care more about him. Yu is unsure about how to express the new feeling he has for Ai. You can see how he likes to be around Ai and how he likes to see all the different sides of him, maybe others can't see. It was cute how he took care of a drunk Ai. The smile of his face when he is with him and the worry he has when he can see Wann around Ai is showing us about what Yu's thinking.

While Yu is still trying to know how to express his feeling for Ai, Wann didn't hesitate. He admitted to Ai that he really likes him and of course Yu had to witness it. I found funny that Ai cared more about telling Yu's name than saying anything about the love confession he received.

I'm a bit concerned about the love triangle because I truly hate them. I don't mind a little bit of jealousy here and there in a story, but I don't want them to drag on too long the love triangle. I already know Wann is going to get hurt and it's sad. He seems to be a nice guy. To be honest, everyone is a nice person in this series. You don't want any of them to be hurt. As for now, it's bearable and I feel like the story is handling well this love triangle.

If Ai and Yu are still trying to feel their way around their relationship, we had to see Ing really struggling with his unrequited love for Yo. It's getting harder and harder for him to hide it and I feel like Yo cares for him. Is it love yet for Yo? I don't think so, but it's getting there and I wonder how long Ing will be able to endure it.

I feel like the dream connection between Ai and Yu is still a compelling part of the story. On one hand, it seems every time Ai is "saving" Yu from a terrible fate, he is ending up hurting himself instead. However, on the other hand, I feel like the dreams are pushing Ai into spending more time with Yu so their relationship can become more. It made me feel like how in Century of Love when the goddess was sending dreams to San so he would consider Vee as a lover.

Ai said to Ing that there were only two dreams where Yu didn't get hurt, but he didn't tell him about his wet dream. In this dream, Yu wasn't hurt too. We haven't seen any other dream like this one. I wonder why... I thought we would get one after Ai was drunk from the game, but it didn't happen. I still feel another wet dream would make Ai admit his growing crush for Yu or at least recognize he has this big crush and it's not just concern about Yu's well-being.

I wish we were already next week so I would know what will happen in the next episode.

I know Hiro mentions them at one point in thh, and I think they showed up/are mentioned in one of the endings of the visual novel Kirigiri Sou but that ending in non canon iirc

Meet my OC versions of Evan and Venti--Evan and Aiyu. Evan is half-alien and Venti is a full blown alien. Also these aliens are actually Skyrian (Aiyu)/Skyman(Evan), something I talked about more here.

I'm still torn on the design for Skyrians because my GOD am I attached to the more rodent looking body type. They're just cuter to me that way.

I imagine that if Evan was born in the DR world his parents probably try to hide his alien heritage by reshaping his ears to look more human because other than being long lived (pretty much eternal) and magic, he's pretty human passing. He can't shape shift, so his ears would be changed surgically.

Aiyu can just shapeshift so they'll choose a normal looking human form to pass

Evan is Very Welsh and Aiyu's human form is Very Chinese, fun fact.

(this is heavily opinionated about aiyu and yuai)

hmm so... this is mostly coming from nonsense disagreement in my head, but i feel like i want to throw it here because i was thinking about it

i got kind of perplexed recently when i saw someone's opinion in the tags i follow that was something like

"Ysk is aroace coded so i don't understand why people would draw him in an intimate relationship" (worded a bit blamefully)

personally... i also think Ysk is asexual, so i understand where people are coming from with that kind of opinion. but, i didn't understand shaming those who do see it as a possibility...

it's hard to say or pinpoint the exact moment in time when he may feel vulnerable or open enough for that kind of thing... but, likely it's very much a post-canon deal. though, considering he's never experienced a romantic relationship, i can't imagine he'd automatically be averse to that kind of relationship or experience (in the way that he would never want to experience it with a romantic partner) just because of trauma reasons... trauma can be recovered from with someone you love, little by little

i don't know. coupling is partly a delusion (even with as much semi-canon evidence something like aiyu or yuai has) and i'm definitely someone who wants him to have a growing relationship over time with Aichan, so it just felt strange to see it said in such a way that it's never a possibility for him or that it's wrong to portray it that way at all

like... for me, i think as far as within the show's canon timeframe, i can agree it's out of the question. they're emotionally and psychologically not prepared for a relationship (let alone an intimate one at the time of the events)

the show takes course over time for about a year, so Ysk will turn 17 and be closer to making adult decisions for himself and forming the kind of bright future he wants to grasp alongside his partner...

for Ysk, i think it would take a lot of time to overcome the fears of losing what matters most to him, a lot of introspection to realize that those feelings are romantic ones to begin with because he's never had the opportunity to lead a normal life until after everything is settled, and then to have the realization that he wants to pursue it mutually with that partner

everything has to align rather carefully, huh...

i do try to be careful with it because i understand that the purehearted aiyu and yuai fans could be offended by sexual depictions of them (various reasons) so i keep it separated from this kind of space and don't talk about my opinions much besides vaguely because the last thing i want is my words to be twisted or misinterpreted, lol

as far as aiyu or yuai, i think Ysk wants to return Aichan's love that was shown to him, and Aichan wants to be with Ysk forever, so it's really mutual and sweet and angsty considering it all. though, even if it's healthily mutual, it would take time to get to the point of kissing or anything further (which they can and should do because it would be healing for them to experience that kind of love together as romantic partners)

...and isn't that fine? isn't it fine to envision this couple eventually healing to the point that they have mutually desired intimacy and love? after time passes?

anyway, that's just (part of) my opinion regarding that... and if you would be possibly offended that i drew them and want them to be lovey-dovey and intimate, maybe you should head out of here, haha
