/Me estaba acordando cuando deje por la mitad el Mahabhrabata, una historia épica mitológica india. Recuerdo que hubo una época donde estaba loca con la cultura india, en esos años fuimos con mi hermano a chile y como no tenía mucho que hacer por las tardes me puse a ver por un canal de aire una novela india que fantásticamente estaba doblada al español latino. Me ví varios capítulos porque ¿a quién le importa que estuviera de vacaciones? siempre hay ocasión para descubrir nuevos contenidos. Ya cuando volví para argentina quería terminar de verla y así buscando en internet sobre la cultura india es que me encontré con el Mahabharata en pdf y me dije ¿por qué no?

Ahora, no me acuerdo bien y por eso creo que debería releerlo, era muy fantástico, había de todo, dioses que se transformaban en animales, hijos bastardos, relaciones poliamorosas, profecías, monstruos muy complicados de imaginar, torneos, armas mágicas, batallas épicas y árboles genealógicos bien enredados. De todo rescato los mejores, y creo que protagonistas, los hermanos pandavas, ídolos todos, que después de estar exiliados en el bosque por unos años vuelven y se les da por recuperar su reino.

Pero mi personaje favorito de toda la historia era el antagonista Karna o tambien llamado Radheya ( Esto de usar varios nombres para una sola persona no es solo algo de los chinos al parecer), que era hijo de una humana y el Dios sol )? pero que por ciertas circunstancias es abandonado por su madre en una canasta en el río cuál Moisés, en eso lo recoge una pareja que andaba por ahí, lo adoptan y crían. La cosa es que el tipo es un groso con el arco, un guerrero sin igual que se enfrenta a los pandavas para que no recuperen el reino o eso entendí. Me gustó mucho porque es de esos protagonistas que vos queres que tengan exito, uno esta ahí apoyandolo en todas sus aventuras.

Bueno la cosa es que todo se descontrola cuando SPOILER SPOILER se entera de que es hermano mayor de los pandavas. Pero igual fiel a sus promesas se enfrenta a ellos en la guerra, pues él es del bando contrario junto con su amigo que no me acuerdo su nombre, pero al cual es muy leal. Y hasta ahí me quedé, en la batalla, recuerdo que mientras leía me preguntaba si los indios les leían esto a sus hijos antes de dormir ¿qué Caperucita roja y el lobo? ¿Qué tres chanchitos? a mí dame semidioses peleando entre ellos en una batalla sangrienta. Creo que si hicieran una serie onda Games Of Trones del Mahabharata estaría epiquisimo. Hace un tiempo encontré una serie india sobre la vida de Karna, pero yo no sé el idioma así que me quedé con las ganas.

Adjunto imagenes de dos actores personificando a Karna, esta gente bendice mis ojos. Los aritos dorados y la marca en la frente 10/10.

Star Parivaar 2014 - Mahabharat

TBH the show was pretty lame…I only watched it for the MB team, otherwise it’s usually a no go zone for me. The highlights were:

Pooja Sharma’s entry in the palki…all decked up as Draupadi!

SRJ and Shaheer riding in the chariot float at the end of the show, dressed as Krishna and Arjun. They looked so at ease! :)

Pooja cheering for Shaheer and SRJ when they won their respective awards!

SRJ, Shaheer and Aham’s cute little speeches when they accepted their awards.

The ENTIRE cast and crew getting up on stage to accept their ‘kutumb’ award LOL and Shakuni’s “Mere Bache” line!

Just seeing them all there, supporting each other! They obviously have a pretty strong bond!

The last 3 mins, where most of the cast were dressed as their characters (wish they’d actually spoken or done something instead of just stand on stage lol)
