Caregivers:

How they're treated nowadays

From what I've noticed and experienced a little myself, caregivers are treated as if they're replaceable.

No, this doesn't mean that everyone does. But a lot of people do.

Caregivers are treated as if they're robots, ai chats, and even just as a backup option in case their current relationship/dynamic doesn't work out

Something to remember is that carers are real people with real emotions, not people you only talk to when it benefits you because you're regressed or something.

When trying to find a new carer, you shouldn't talk to two different people at once, whether they know or not. The whole time, they might be wondering if you're thinking about the other person while texting them. They might expect you to stop showing interest in them, and in the end, you probably don't end up with either of them. You shouldn't "keep your options open" to see if you click or not with the 1st person and keep the 2nd around as a backup.

Imagine your caregiver f/o coming home with a new plushie for you, and putting it right into your arms for you to hug.

"but what if they think I'm weird?" but what if they don't? what if they love you and want to love all of you, including parts of you you may think are "weird".

Your f/o understands it when you need to age regress. They may not know about it or fully understand it but they will try to learn more to accomodate your needs. They will listen and maybe even offer to become your caregiver if you two would be comfortable with it. They'll learn to understand the language and do their best to make you feel loved and comfortable. You can always tell them how you need to be comforted, how you'd like to play, what are your limits, what to do when you vent regress, etc. Anything. Anything so you're happy.

big brother infected who:

shows you all his mspaint doodles and even makes one of you two together!! he lets you color it in too if you want!

watches cat videos and puts his favorite ones into a playlist to watch with you!

teaches you how to skate! sometimes if he's feeling well enough you guys head outside to practice.

has dance parties with you! he has a huge playlist of nightcore songs that he'll blast on his computer's speakers and dance around with you in his arms or let you move around however you like on the floor.

games with you! he lets you try playing his favorite single-player games and loves competing with you in multiplayer games.

he tries his best to spend time with you, but it's difficult when he's so sick all the time :( thats why he makes sure you both always have the most fun possible whenever you hang out!!!!! he has all the toys and crafts and other thingamajigs you could possibly dream of, and they're all for you!!! he loves to sit on the floor with you and watch you play. he'll ask questions about what you're making, what you're thinking about, anything to keep you interacting with him because it makes him so happy to see you light up when he starts to talk. ‧˚₊꒷꒦︶︶︶︶︶︶︶︶︶︶︶꒷꒦︶︶︶︶︶︶︶︶︶︶︶︶︶︶꒦꒷‧₊˚⊹ [ you hold out your favorite stuffie to him with a wide smile as you tell him their name. ]

Regression Block:

Why does it happen?

Regression block is something that happens to a lot of people, right? But why exactly does it happen?

According to something that I had recently read and quite honestly agree with. A regression block happens when you don't need to cope anymore. You're busy coping in other ways, whether it's busying yourself with work or school. Even just keeping yourself occupied with hobbies!

We sometimes forget that regressing isn't the only safe coping mechanism we have. The majority of regressors tend to rely on regression as their main coping mechanism.

Here's a list of other safe coping mechanisms

that you can use instead:

— Listening to music

— Playing an instrument

— Drawing / painting

— Going for a walk

— Reading

— Journaling

— Taking a shower/bath

— Cleaning / organizing your safe space

— Calling a friend

— Watching a comedy movie / show

— Watching funny videos

— Knitting / Crocheting

If you're not a fan of these, your hobby is a coping mechanism !!

oooou !! lots of like soft n muted colors , i like those most ( ⸝⸝´꒳`⸝⸝) and so many lights ! string lights and nightlights and sunset lamps and normal lamps and the big ceiling light is never turned on ever . and a rocking chair , and so many stuffies , and a canopy bed , but also a lil tent or somethin i can hide in !!!! and of course !!! i think it’d be uper fun to go shopping for stuff and decorate it together (⸝⸝> ω <⸝⸝)

Hello! If you’re not too busy with requests could I request some hcs for cg! Zhongli or Diluc with an infant regressor? Maybe the little one’s clingy and gets a bit fussy if they’re too far away from their cg? I’d love to see how either of them handle an extra tiny little one!

Diluc is well versed with knowledge about regressing, from personal experience and from learning about it on his own time. When he found out you were an infant regressor, he wanted to make sure he could be extra helpful to you.

You feel tiny, really tiny. The sensations around you feel bigger.. not necessarily in a negative way. The lights and colors look more flamboyant, the feeling of the floor as you sit on it is soft and gentle.. maybe a little ticklish from the carpet. You pick up something on the floor, your tiny hands carsssing the item you pick up. Though, you cannot communicate well right now… you want your Carer's attention, Diluc. You look at him, your eyes a little wide, filled with curiosity. You give a little whine for attention, hoping to be acknowledged, but he does not hear you right away. Diluc has a hard time picking up subtle sounds sometimes, unless they are consistent due to the Tavern work. You whine a little louder, starting to tear up, since you cannot use your words… all tiny and in need of care.

Diluc turns his head, looking over his shoulder, pausing whatever he was up to. He sees the look on your face.. and you can see him frown slightly with worry.

“My dear, my baby, my little one… what is the matter?” His voice is soft as he approaches you. He kneels down, to get to your level. You reach your arms out, using those grabby hands, wanting to be held. “Oh, uppies, hm?” He coos in a soft tone, as one arm slips around your upper back, and the other is placed under your bottom, as he holds you to him. You rest your head on his shoulder, holding a fistful of his sleeve in your little hand.

His warm hand rests on top of yours, and he rests his head against yours. “It’s okay, I’m right here.” He whispers softly. A little sniffle escapes you.. you still have a few tears left. “Oh, here… I have an idea.” He says, as he walks into the kitchen. He sets you onto the counter, lovingly shushing you, trying to calm you. “I’m right here still, I just need my hands for a moment, alright? Don’t fret.” He kisses your forehead gently, and then opens the cabinet, taking out a bottle for you. He warms some milk in the little before pouring it into your bottle. As he twists on the lid, he picks you up with one arm.

“Let’s go to your Nursery, just hold on.” He says in a soft voice, as he caries you up the stairs and into your Nursery. He adjusts the light, making it dim, but still lit, as to not scare you. He walks over to the rocking chair in the corner of the room, and takes a seat. Propping you in his lap so your head can rest on his shoulder/chest, and you’re sitting with your legs/thighs across his lap.

“How about we read a story while you have your bottle?” He suggests, handing you your bottle, which you immediately latch onto, with your head nuzzled into the crook of his neck and shoulder. He picks up a book, and flips through the pages, reading it slowly and comfortingly to you… he’s there as long as his baby needs…

You let out an evidently sleepy yawn.. you could’ve sworn moments ago you were just fine… but now, that you’re sleepy… you had regressed before you could even think properly about it. You looked around, and didn’t see your Caregiver, Zhongli. Being so tiny, and so needy… you got scared. You started to cry, in your spot on the couch, unable to find your dada. Your tears and unintelligible babbles were enough to have your Caegiver coming right to you. You were wiping your tears when a hand is placed on yours, moving it out of the way gently.

“What is the cause for all these tears? Are you hurt?” He spoke gently, as to not frighten you more, but there is a hint of concern. Though.. he examined your demeanor and answered his own question. “Oh my… does someone need some help?” He cooed as he picked you up with one arm, wiping your tears with the other hand. Your cries are now sniffles and whimpers.. and you lay into him. “Don’t worry, I’ll take care of you. Just let me take care of it, okay?” He mumbled gently into your ear, as he walked into your nursery. He opens your dresser and takes out your favorite onesie.

“Alright, lie back for me, alright?” He guides as he lays you down on your changing table/preparation table. He takes you out of your big kid clothes, and slips you into your favorite onesie, buttoning the bottom. “There we go… isn’t that so much better?” He coos softly as he picks you back up, a smile on his face. “Do you want to get your baba and to go color and have some tummy time?” He asks, as he walks into the living room. You give a babble and he takes it as a yes.

You’re given your bottle, laid on your tummy, and the two of you color for the majority of the afternoon… occasionally whines or babbles from you to get Zhongli to look at your coloring page. Eventually, bed time hits, and you’re laid in your crib on your tummy, with your baba and paci…
