guys hear me out. agatha absorbs the power of anyone who blasts her right? so my theory is the “when she calls u a coward, hit the deck” line is not so much to save agatha, but so that whoever blasts agatha might be saved so we don’t get a repeat of what happened to alice

THEREFORE COMMA if it ends up being rio (or jen) who blasts agatha, no one will get hurt/die and all will live happily ever after the end

two things from last episode:

- rio is ahead of them now and will be waiting at the next trial, possibly as the antagonist, especially since we now know (officially) that she’s death and the next trial is death focused. even though it’s likely billy’s trial, since rio isn’t a part of the coven, the green at the end means it likely is the “green witch” trial; or maybe manipulated by THE green witch??

- billy unconsciously created the witches road with his reality-warping abilities and agatha never did walk the road. it explains why she doesn’t seem to actually know anything and why she’s just as scared as the others. also why she didn’t seem surprised when the ballad didn’t open the door. idk just a thought (especially since billy said it himself too)

Thinking about how Agatha's card is Three of Swords and represents all three of the wounds she carries from all three phases of her life, each inflicted by all three people who are most important to her:

Her first wound, from her childhood. A mother who wanted her dead. Agatha tries to be good, even just good enough, even when it's suffocating everything she was born to be. Yet, in the end, she is not even considered capable of good. So why even try when the alternative is to be powerful, to be exceptional?

Her second wound, from her motherhood. A child whom she killed. The last glimmer of the goodness inside her. Because no matter how evil her own mother thought she was, Agatha thought she could never do the same to her own child, could never let a witchling believe it didn't deserve to exist. Yet, in the end, Agatha doesn't just stop at the damage her mother did -- she gets what Evanora always wanted: her own child, limp in her arms. What little faith she had in the good there might be inside of her died with that boy.

Her third wound, from her adult life. A love who couldn't reverse death. A force of nature who loved Agatha for being just as powerful, for being exceptional. Everything Evanora thought Agatha deserved Death for--she actually did. Yet, in the end, even being exceptional or powerful can't fix what Agatha's always gotten wrong, the good that Agatha's never been able to be. Not even immortal powers can reverse the harm she's done. The harm she will always do.

It's the final stab, the final sword that confirms what she's always known. Agatha Harkness is evil, inside and out. All her life, every phase, every wound, every love.

As Maiden, Mother, Crone.

Through Sorrow, Grief, Heartbreak.

When Lilia reads Agatha's card, it isn't to do with deception or betrayal or power, the face she puts on to feel safe. To hide the fact that when her soul is called on a single card by a witch whose power is sight, all she can see, and all that it shows, is the pain that made Agatha Agatha.

By the way, since Lilia experiences the entire timeline at the same time and not linearly, she's known her coven for her whole entire life, all 450 years of it—even if she doesn't realise it until the end.

They've always been there, because the flow of time is an illusion. They've always been with her. And as she reads her tarot spread, she realises it.

They're her family.

They always have been.

The gaps finally filled it.

She didn't die in a fake reality to save a group she'd known for 24 hours.

She died to save a group whose presence she's felt in her heart for hundreds of years.

Whose presence she lacked, like a memory she couldn't grasp. Nostalgia she couldn't quite place anywhere. Nostalgia for something you've never even had.

Because she had them.

In the future—she always had them.

And she was always going to protect them.

And even in death—

She's still with them.

Still fighting to protect them.

no confirmed death onscreen means no official death, and i stand by that. it’s a marvel classic, we saw bucky falling to his death and surprise surprise, he’s alive.
