ok yeah, AEW in that video package summarizing the CMLL 91st anniversary is uhhh NOT good.

It was edited and told in a way that made it seem like Chris Jericho won the 3rd fall, when in reality, Mistico won with La Mistica.

I was ready to accept that match would be just mid and carried by the spectacle/crowd still loving Jericho, and it was painfully average, but holy shit Jericho was a terrible base to help Mistico pull off the worst looking La Mistica I've ever seen.

Even if the video package got the facts right, it doesn't erase how the whole ending of the match was used as an angle to fuel fucking OC vs the Learning Tree, which immediately stunk up the vibes. I don't know who okayed this, but letting the fucking Learning Tree, a midcard act people hate and an AEW angle take up the ending of the main event of CMLL's 91st anniversary show is a DOGSHIT decision.

It didn't help that right before the main event, there was a MOTY contender lucha apuestas match where Hechicero beat Euphoria to take his mask in an emotional event. To have to follow that is a death spot, and the crowd kept on chanting for Hechicero. THAT should've been the main event, not an average "dream match" that was ultimately fuel for a midcard AEW act.

Add to that the video package just blatantly getting the facts wrong is a massive disrespect and looks terrible on AEW. We have GOT to get Jericho out of here.

Posting this for my own reference and motivation, but here's my translation priority list right now.

First, I want to post translations of some older Chris Brookes and Desperado twitter conversations, along with a few more recent tweets relating to their match.

After that, I want to translate some old Douki tweets that I keep forgetting to post.

Longer-term, I want to post a lot of translations of lots of stuff relating to Desperado and Kasai's series of matches, including some free-to-read articles and some tweets and twitter conversations, including some that were removed from the internet when Despe deleted his old twitter account and Kasai's old account got banned.

While I appreciate the Elite/Hangman stuff being brought back up to continue, I also don't want AEW to diminish Dark Order by simply swapping them out.

Initially I had hoped that we'd put Dark Order over by having them rise to meet the BCC, since they are still good wrestlers who made the Trios finals, at Blood & Guts. But with the Elite coming in it does feel like they are at risk of being job guys again.

Instead, I want to encourage AEW to go a different route, make this a 3-way battle for Hangman's soul: you have the BCC who respect Hangman but want to literally beat him into submission (we could have it be like a recruitment angle), the Elite are his old friends capable of standing to the BCC and penitent for their rift, and Dark Order are the friends who stuck by Hangman at his lowest but seem a little out of depth. We put a fourth for Elite and BCC (Adam Cole for Elite and maybe someone like Hobbs for BCC since he did roll with Mox for a bit, or Shota, may be too soon for heel Danielson) while keeping Stu because Stu is great and then we have a great narrative feud as well as a great in-ring feud.

Hell, 3-Way Anarchy in the Arena it with Hangman making a choice on who to side with, just don't shuffle Dark Order to the side.
