What will be the new retaliation target? If Yuzhmash was a “adequate demonstration of capability” (speed, precision, kinetic penetration), the next strike will be labeled as “moderate” or “intensive” as they move up their escalation flow chart.

Moscow threatens to attack POLAND: Kremlin warns it can strike US base using 'advanced weapons' as NATO scrambles jets and Putin unleashes 'ICBM' in Ukraine for first time after Storm Shadow strike
Russia this morning threatened to strike US air bases in Poland with 'advanced weapons' hours after it reportedly launched an advanced missile as part of a brutal barrage of targets across Ukraine.
Moscow said the opening of a new US ballistic missile defence base in Redzikowo near the Baltic coast will 'increase the overall level of nuclear danger', adding it had been added to a list of possible targets for Russia.
The facility, opened on November 13, forms part of a broader NATO missile shield called 'Aegis Ashore' designed to intercept short- and intermediate-range ballistic weapons.
'This is another frankly provocative step in a series of deeply destabilising actions by the Americans and their allies,' Russian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Maria Zakharova said of the airbase's unveiling.
'(The base) has been added to the list of priority targets for potential destruction which, if necessary, can be executed with a wide range of advanced weapons,' she concluded.
Her statement came minutes after Ukraine's air force reported that a suspected ICBM had been fired from a base in Russia's southern Astrakhan region on the Caspian Sea early this morning.
Russian authorities have not yet confirmed the launch, but if true it would be the first time such a powerful missile has been deployed in the war.
Some analysts expressed incredulity over reports of a fully-fledged ICBM being deployed, arguing that the reported range of the strike - roughly 700km or 454 miles - fell short of what would typically be expected of an intercontinental missile.

Putin: Ukraine Becoming 'Global War'. Russia threatens to attack US base in Poland. US military prepared for nuclear strikes. UN’s Latest Climate Agenda Sparks Alarms Over Online Censorship.

Ukraine Becoming 'Global War' After Western Long-Range Weapons Used Against Russia: Putin
Update(1320ET): On Thursday President Vladimir Putin issued a stern warning in the wake of Ukraine launching long-range strikes on Russia's territory utilizing newly approved US and UK long-range missiles.
"Kiev has launched a long-range missile strike against military facilities located within internationally-recognized Russian territory," began his televised address by saying. He confirmed British-made Storm Shadow missiles and US-made HIMARS were fired targets located in Bryansk and Kursk Regions. He said this action threatens to turn the Ukraine conflict into a global war. "A regional Ukraine conflict instigated by the West has acquired elements of a global one," Putin spelled out, and noted that these systems cannot be used without the direct operational involvement of Western military specialists.
Russia threatens to attack new US base in Poland with ‘advanced weapons’
Russia has threatened to attack a new US defense base in Poland with “advanced weapons” — just hours after reportedly launching an intercontinental ballistic missile at Ukraine on Thursday. Moscow leveled the warning after saying the opening of the ballistic missile defense base, located in the town of Redzikowo near the Baltic coast, would lead to an increase in overall nuclear danger. “Given the nature and level of threats posed by such Western military facilities, the missile defense base in Poland has long been added to the list of priority targets for potential destruction, which, if necessary, can be executed with a wide range of advanced weapons,” Russian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Maria Zakharova said. The US base at Redzikowo, which opened Nov. 13, is part of a broader NATO missile shield — known as “Aegis Ashore” — that can intercept short- to intermediate-range ballistic missiles, according to the alliance.
Pentagon ‘concerned’ by Russia’s new hypersonic missile
However, Ukraine has withstood “significantly larger” attacks and will continue to fight with US help, according to spokesperson Sabrina Singh
Deputy Pentagon Press Secretary Sabrina Singh has stated that Russia’s newly battle-tested hypersonic missile poses a danger to Ukrainians, but dismissed President Vladimir Putin’s warning to NATO as “reckless rhetoric” rather than a credible threat. On Thursday, President Putin announced that the nation’s military launched its new hypersonic ballistic missile, dubbed ‘Oreshnik’ (Hazel), against a military industrial facility in Ukraine. The strike was a response to what Putin described as the “aggressive actions of NATO member states,” warning that Moscow reserves the right to target military facilities in countries that allow their weapons to be used against Russian territory.

Rutte, Tusk push for defence spending to support Ukraine ahead of Trump’s comeback
NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte and Poland’s Prime Minister Donald Tusk jointly called for greater defence spending amid the election of Donald Trump as US president.
Rutte and Tusk met in Poland on Wednesday at the invitation of the latter, who announced last week that he would hold meetings to discuss the future of Europe after Trump’s victory.
“The relationship is crucial, but it is even more crucial that we have identical – not similar, but identical – views on the situation in the world, including this currently on fire.”
During a joint press conference, the two leaders discussed their deep friendship, aiming for closer co-operation between Poland and NATO.
We live in constantly changing [political] circumstances, so it is important that we can place trust and confidence in both you, Mark, and the whole Alliance.
Tusk said he familiarised Rutte with efforts to reinforce the eastern border as part of the East Shield initiative. Rutte, for his part, praised Warsaw for what he called outstanding achievements in defence spending, as Poland is the NATO leader, spending more than 4% of GDP. Moreover, the country plans to increase its spending to 4.7% already by 2025.
“This sends a clear message not only to our adversaries but also to the United States that Europe understands it must do more to ensure our shared security. And that starts with spending more and fielding more capabilities.”
During the election campaign, Trump suggested that the US would not help the Europeans if they did not spend more on defence. NATO members must spend at least 2% of their GDP on defence, but so far not all are meeting the target.
As European NATO allies worry that under Trump, the US could end or reduce support for Ukraine, Rutte praised Poland as a staunch supporter of Kyiv. Poland “provides crucial military aid and hosts over 1 million Ukrainian refugees […] and hosts the NATO-Ukraine Joint Analysis, Training and Education Centre,” the alliance chief said.
Rutte also met with Polish President Andrzej Duda, Defence Minister Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz and Foreign Minister Radosław Sikorski. They discussed the official opening of the Aegis Ashore ballistic missile defence base in Redzikowo.
This site significantly enhances our ability to defend against the growing threat of ballistic missiles from outside the Euro-Atlantic area. […] [It] is a testament to the strong commitment of both the United States and Poland to our collective defence.
However, at a conference after the meeting, Kosiniak-Kamysz mentioned Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky’s recent criticism of Poland for not delivering promised MiG fighter jets and refusing to intercept Russian missiles over Ukraine’s western territories.
Kosiniak-Kamysz also said that Poland would like to see “more respect” from Ukraine for what Warsaw had done for Kyiv since the first day of the war.

Putin Warns U.S. on Missile Defense
LOS ANGELES (OnlineColumnist.com), Nov. 2, 2021.--Putting the United States and the North Atlantic Treaty Organization [NATO] on notice, 69-year-old Russian President Vladimir Putin said he will respond to the U.S. deploying missile defense over Western and Eastern Europe. Putin sees missile defense, which is a direct result of Russian strategic nuclear arms forces, as a threat to Mutual Assured Destruction [MAD], where tit-of-tat Intercontinental and intermediate rage ballistic missile create a deterrent to any country to get adventurous with respect to its borders. Since 78-year-old President Joe Biden took office, Jan. 20, the U.S. and Moscow hit new post-Cold War lows. Biden’s summit with Putin in Geneva June 16 was cut short because Biden couldn’t figure out what to talk about. After a few hours of pro-forma platitudes, both leaders headed out of town, now dealing with any substantive global issues affecting both countries.
Biden’s track record on diplomacy with China and Russia has been abysmal. When he sent 58-year-old Secretary of State Tony Blinken and 44-year-old National Security Adviser Jake Sullivan to Anchorage, Alaska March 18 to 0ummit with China, the two accused China of genocide against Muslim Uyghurs in Western China. Two days before March 16, Biden called Putin a “soulless killer.” By the time they met in Geneva, the two couldn’t look each other in the eyes. “We know very well that some of our foreign counterparts will not stop trying to break this parity, including by means of deploying elements of global missile defense in close proximity to our borders,” Putin said. Putin doesn’t want Poland, for instance, deploying Aegis Ashore missile defense at Redzikowo base in Poland. Putin plans to respond by deploying more ICBMs and intermediate range missiles at Poland.
Putin watches while the world GOP26 climate summit goes on in Glasgow, as world leaders preach to the choir about the existential threat of global climate change. Putin’s Russia has more coal-fired power plants that any other country, with the exception of India, where electricity shortages are more concern than whether or not they emit greenhouse gasses. World leaders like Biden and French President Emmanuel Macron are right in their element lecturing about the evils of climate change, blaming every climate-related mishap on global warming. Biden wants to spend some $500 billion out of the new $1.75 trillion infrastructure and welfare bill on climate change, promising, like he Democrat predecessors going back to President Jimmy Carter, a booming clean energy industry to boost the U.S. economy. Fossil fuels still drive the U.S. economy in 2021.
Biden’s promises of a net-zero carbon emissions by 2050 is pure pie-in-the-sky, the same empty promises made by generations of Democrat leaders all without any fidelity to reality. To achieve his plan for zero emission by 2050, Biden would have to shut down the entire transportation sector, including all trains, planes and automobiles. Biden knows that methane gas-fired power plants don’t solve the zero admission conundrum, despite promising to replace the internal combustion engine by 2030. Shifting carbon pollution away from tailpipes into methane-fired power plants to accommodate the new demand for electricity to power cars and trucks will actually cause more carbon emissions. What climate scientists aren’t telling politicians is that there little the world can do to stop the adverse effects of climate change, even with spending trillions on clean energy alternatives.
No one believes that burning tons of jet fuel into the atmosphere for air travel is going to stop anytime soon. Speaking in Glasgow, environmental zealots like preaching to the choir and talking about doomsday but all their efforts to reduce the earth’s greenhouse gasses come late in the game. While there’s nothing wrong in reducing pollution, there’s something very wrong about duping people into believing they can reduce the effect of carbon-driven climate change by promising to develop green fuels. Putin, Chinese President Xi Jinping and India Prime Minister Narenda Modi aren’t going to paralyze their countries economic development by banning fossil fuels. Transition to electric cars-and-trucks isn’t going to reduce carbon emissions enough when more methane-fired power plants come online to supply enough electricity for the new clear-air technologies.
Unlike Biden that can only do one thing at a time, Putin’s out-maneuvering the U.S. and NATO, already looking for ways to neutralize U.S. global missile defense systems. Instead of viewing Putin as the U.S. mortal enemy, Biden should be looking at more obvious threats coming from radical Islam, likely to continue into the indefinite future. “We cannot ignore those threats to Russia’s security and will adequately react to them,” Putin said, more concerned about countering missile defense than climate change. “We can catch a glimpse of it through binoculars, or through the crosshairs of matching defense systems,” Putin said, warning Biden and NATO to pay attention to more than climate change. Biden thinks he makes the world safer spending billions on climate change but ignores U.S.-Russian relations makeing things worse.

U.S. missile shield site in Poland is nearing final phases of construction
U.S. Navy Vice Adm. Jon Hill, director of the Missile Defense Agency (MDA), visited the Aegis Ashore Missile Defense System (AAMDS) site in Poland and has reviewed the construction status.
Capt. Jon Grant, commanding officer of Naval Support Facility (NSF) Redzikowo, hosted Hill and his team from MDA to show progress being made at the new U.S. anti-missile station outside the town of Redzikowo. Hill and his team visited the multipurpose and housing facility, the galley and the inside of the Aegis Ashore “deckhouse.”
Currently, the U.S. missile shield site in Poland is nearing the final phases of construction at Naval Support Facility (NSF) Redzikowo, the Navy’s newest installation. Once construction is completed, the Aegis Ashore site in Poland will expand a defensive capability that protects NATO European territories, populations and forces against ballistic missiles launched from outside the Euro-Atlantic region.
The first Aegis Ashore site was established at Deveselu, Romania in 2016 as part of the European Phased Adaptive Approach announced by the Obama administration in 2009. Aegis Ashore uses a defensive system almost identical to that used on U.S. Navy Aegis-capable guided-missile destroyers and cruisers at sea.
The system is designed to detect, track, engage and destroy ballistic missiles in flight. The complex at Redzikowo will consist of a fire-control radar “deckhouse” with an associated Aegis command, control and communications suite. Separately, it will house several launch modules containing Standard Missile-3 (SM-3) interceptors.
