Finally...after five-thousand years...It's here...Epilogue II is FINALLY here!!

...Well, the first part of it is here, at least, heheh.

Hello, all! It's great to finally come back with another Adventures in Parenthood Chapter! I've spent far, far too long writing this one, though I hope it was worth the wait, at least! I've had to cut this Epilogue into two parts due to it going over the Archive's word limit, but don't worry! The second part will be out in two weeks, hopefully! This two-week pause will simply allow me to get a head-start on Epilogue III, though depending on how said start goes, I may or may not release the second part a little quicker~

This Epilogue was a lot of fun to work with, especially due to Roland having a prominent role within it, although I admit, the fact that it took so long to be written was a bummer. Oh well, hopefully that doesn't happen again.

In any case, I'd love to hear you folks' opinions on the new Chapter! I can't wait to hear and read all of your thoughts, opinions, feedback and criticisms! Until the next half of the Epilogue drops, be well, everyone! Take care, and keep Facing the Fear, to Create the Future!

Digimon Anime's website has published details about DIGIMON ADVENTURE BEYOND in Japanese.

Apart from an official summary and cast and staff details, they have also shared the idea behind how this PV came to be.

Here is my translation of everything posted on the website. As we don't have an official translation yet, I request you to source back to this post when making references so that anyone can take up their issues/doubts about the translation with me directly and not spread misinformation in the fandom!

Summary: With time having passed since that fateful summer adventure, the appearance of (chosen) children with partner Digimon is steadily on the increase. However, because of their special characteristics, these children are now being persecuted and targeted for military use, casting a negative shadow over them. When Taichi and Yamato are engaged in a rescue mission for one such child, a mysterious Digimon ambushes them…

The Digimon Adventure 25th Anniversary PV ‘Digimon Adventure-BEYOND’, which was shown at Digimon Con 2025, is now available worldwide on the Digimon Official Channel!

This short movie is a cut-out PV from the last episode of Digimon Adventure 02, featuring scenes from the 25 years later portion that were never depicted in the version that aired. In the video, characters from ‘Digimon Adventure’ and ‘Digimon Adventure 02’ can be seen all grown up, depicted in new designs which is a must-see for every fan!

In addition, ‘brave heart-DIGIMON Animation 25th Arrange ver!', the track used in the PV was also played for the first time. The track 'brave heart' from Digimon Adventure enhanced the evolution sequences in the anime with its melody, and was now rearranged specially for this PV.

The PV is directed by Hiroyuki Kakudo, series director for Digimon Adventure and Digimon Adventure 02. Director Kakudo worked on the planning, storyboards and direction of this PV keeping in mind the story of Digimon Adventure and Digimon Adventure 02. Character designer for this work is Rie Nishimura, who was the chief animation director for DIGIMON ADVENTURE 02 THE BEGINNING.

We have prepared this project as an appreciation for all the ‘children’ who have stayed with us through our adventures. We hope you watch Digimon Adventure-BEYOND while reminiscing about those adventure filled memories of summer. We are also planning to release the backstory of Digimon Adventure 25th Anniversary PV ‘Digimon Adventure-BEYOND’!

A New Sims 4 Lepacy Challenge

“I’ve often found myself buying packs and not exploring them fully or not playing them after my initial playthrough!”

“I haven’t even thought about XYZ pack in years!”

“I’m bored!!”

Any of these testimonials sound like you? They sound like me too! The Sims 4 has been out for over 10 years and at the time of writing has over 70 DLC packs with 17 expansions and 12 game packs (may the concept rest in peace) and I have spent far too long forgetting some of my favorite features. SO I have decided to write a Lepacy Challenge based on each of the Expansion and Game packs! (Except Batuu obviously)

Currently, I have written up to Life and Death (which is the most recent pack at the time of updating this) for a total of 29 generations! When new packs come out I will do my best to update quickly. I have outlined a basic story to connect the generations but obviously, you don’t have to follow it, do what's fun for you! For a slightly abridged legacy, you can play without the GP generations.

Every generation has a set of basic rules and an additional set of just for fun rules. While the basic rules must be completed every generation, just for fun rules are there for extra challenges, tasks, storytelling bits, or cross-pack challenges. There are also some general rules for the overall lepacy. If you have any questions or suggestions please let me know!

Please be aware that I am currently playing through this challenge for the first time on my YouTube channel and as a result, rules may be updated/changed/added to better reflect their generation’s pack features!!! If This Happens I will add a note about it!!

How are the bean and nugget doing?

Sorry it's been a while since you actually sent this, the early baby days keep ya pretty busy. Which is both good and exhausting lol

They're great! Bean is still loving school, loves being Big Sister, and is basically the funniest person alive. Just today, for example, she came barreling in from the back yard, yelled "BEHOLD," slid into frame in the kitchen doorway with her arms out in an aggressive T-pose, said, "Raindrops upon me!" shook her arms to wiggle her rain-splotched jacket, and then ran back out the door before I could respond. That was how she told me it was starting to sprinkle outside. I love that little maniac, even if she does almost make me pee my pants from trying to hold in the laughter on a near-weekly basis.

Nugget is also a delight, but obviously not able to be funny on purpose yet. She's just barely able to "be" and "do" generally on purpose. She's in that delightful post-potato stage where she's discovering her own hands, toes, and tongue, and it makes for some lovely moments like also last night where instead of falling asleep at bedtime, she laid gently in my arms, staring at her hands, whispering "uh, pisssssss" to herself. (She has discovered the "sss" sound, and plays with all the different noises that come in front of it. So "piss" is a common noise from her these days.) We also recently started introducing 'solid' food to her because of the family history of anaphylaxis (you're supposed to start early because it reduces the risk of food allergies), and she's loving it. Not that she's good at eating, or really manages to swallow anything, but she's been staring longingly at my mouth when I eat for over a month now, so getting to put Flavors in her own face has been immensely satisfying for her. Even if right now all she manages is to mush it around and let it dribble out onto her bib. That's all we need her to do at this point.

It's been interesting to compare and contrast these two, and as Nugget gets bigger and more person-like, we're seeing how similar and how different she is from Bean. They're definitely both our kids, and some things are universally Baby (gonna gag myself on my fingers and then not get the hint, for one). This weekend, though, we discovered that Nugget gets very overwhelmed by new places, and is nervous about meeting new people. This is wild to us because Bean was a total ham and social butterfly who craved newness since day one. Bean took her best naps in Walmart and made faces at everyone on the way. Poor Nugget was in tears just from walking into a family member's home she had never been into, and also from those family members attempting to talk to her. She's a shy and sensitive little bug, and I was totally unprepared for that because I also am a shy and sensitive little bug, but I had to rewire my external presentation to accommodate my little extrovert the first time around. So I was expecting that again, and then poor Nugget burst into tears and started shaking when her great-grandma came over to pat her little feet and smile at her. We spent a lot of time cuddled together at the edge of the room avoiding everyone. Luckily Bean had cousins to play with-- and by cousins I mean her dad's grown cousins. She's that kid who can be friends with everyone and anyone, and even the grown ups love hanging out with her because she's just Like That.

Anyhoo, they're awesome, and I love getting to hang out with them and help them learn to be people. Also not to brag, but they're some stinkin cute kids, and I wish the internet wasn't such a weirdgross place at times because I want to do the digital equivalent of letting a huge folded reel of pictures cascade down from my wallet while I talk your ear off about each of them one by one.

BUT I am also obsessed with the idea of Caine one day just going "CONGRATULATIONS, YOU TWO!! YOU'RE PARENTS NOW!!" and spawning children into existence and now the parents just have to. deal with it.

it's funny cause this is honestly what I think happened LOL 💀

I just love to keep in mind that the circus members are avatars in a video game that have to deal with weird video game logistics PLUS caine's lack of human understanding so there's a possibility that caine would view family units as a human concept, therefore finding a way to give them a kid and not giving a crap if they're prepared or not (probably also viewing parenthood as a fun little adventure for them to embark on)

and patches and posie are designed to sorta be,, fusions?? like they are basically codes merged together that took on a personality of their own, as I don't think the circus members could have actual kids

I just think the concept of both funnybunny and abstrabbit struggling to parent a bunch of jumbled glitchy code to be HILARIOUS 😭😭

Do you think that the Library will keep the tradition of having "family meals" together even after everybody gets turned back into adults? I hope it does, even if it would take some sort of invention to help Angela taste and eat food first.

Honestly? Yeah, I think they will. They already had gatherings before and spent some time together from what we saw in LoR's original credits before they were altered, so why not keep the gatherings around food as well? Although they'll probably still be special occasions, so maybe only once a week or so. I doubt you can convince Binah to participate in such frivolous gatherings more than that.

As for Angela being involved...well, who knows? Perhaps they can, indeed, find a method to include her, but I shouldn't say too much now~

Abbacchio Week Day 3: Play

Catching up a little with @abbacchioweek this was friday's prompt, so a little late, but I hope you will all enjoy some fluff featuring Abbacchio and his daughter Rose from my Hearts of Gold series.

“More tea Mr. Papa?”

            “Of course, My Lady.” Leone held out the tiny cup, receiving a dripping top-off to his lemonade “tea”.

            If anyone had told him three years ago that he would be attending a nearly Lilliputian tea party with the esteemed company of Grumpy Bear, Miss Midnight, and Signore Scales, he would have thought the notion was ridiculous, but having a daughter changed everything.

            After receiving a little tea set with her namesake painted on it as a birthday gift from Uncle Fugo, Rose had taken to obsessing over having tea parties. Most of the time, with pretend tea and her favorite stuffed animals, but occasionally with one of the adults as a guest, and juice and snacks.

            “The tea is very delightful, Lady Rose,” he commented politely as he shifted on the cushion he was sitting on. He hadn’t realized how bad his knees were until he had started getting on the floor to play with Rose but it was worth it to see her smile.

            It was worth putting on his suit to attend a stuffed animal tea party—because the stuffed animals were dressing up too, so it was only proper. And Rosie in her little red tulle dress Trish had made that made her look like a little flower was in her element as the gracious host.

            So, when he was asked, “Another cookie, Mr. Papa?” of course he had to say yes.

            Leone had never thought he was capable of such love, but it turned out that he adored this little girl as much as she did him.

On the topic of Jake The Dad

Jake the Dog was a good parent in the sense where his kids loved him, and he loved them, but he wasn't around as much as he should have been. Obviously he was there when they were puppies, and until they were at most maybe 10-15? Maybe he was there for longer, but it was evident in the show that his kids wished he was around them more.

Although, even though I feel like he could have tried harder with the puppies, I do understand that he didn't have the chance he deserved to be a dad. Rainicorn babies age fast, as he said. They didn't need him anymore. I think if he had more time to actually be a dad, he would have been an amazing one. But maybe he would feel more connected to the puppies if he was around them during their later teenage years. Maybe he would have been able to relate to them more. I do think there was probably more bonding than what we saw onscreen but it's still kind of heartbreaking to think about the fact that he raised his brother better than his kids.

One of my favorite things about having kids is that they push you out of your comfort zone. My family went moonlight sledding tonight because I thought the kids needed some outdoor time after school and the sun sets early. I love sledding! It's so much fun! And if we didn't have kids we wouldn't have been tromping through the snow, seeing how fast we can go down hills, and marveling at the beautiful winter night sky. My kids gave me that.
