Finally...after five-thousand years...It's here...Epilogue II is FINALLY here!!
...Well, the first part of it is here, at least, heheh.
Hello, all! It's great to finally come back with another Adventures in Parenthood Chapter! I've spent far, far too long writing this one, though I hope it was worth the wait, at least! I've had to cut this Epilogue into two parts due to it going over the Archive's word limit, but don't worry! The second part will be out in two weeks, hopefully! This two-week pause will simply allow me to get a head-start on Epilogue III, though depending on how said start goes, I may or may not release the second part a little quicker~
This Epilogue was a lot of fun to work with, especially due to Roland having a prominent role within it, although I admit, the fact that it took so long to be written was a bummer. Oh well, hopefully that doesn't happen again.
In any case, I'd love to hear you folks' opinions on the new Chapter! I can't wait to hear and read all of your thoughts, opinions, feedback and criticisms! Until the next half of the Epilogue drops, be well, everyone! Take care, and keep Facing the Fear, to Create the Future!
See ya' soon!

Supposed to be a certain moment from the chapter 20 equivalence of AiM... representing our boy Ayin! In this AU, I'd assume he'd have the "disease", which I interpret to make you feel "empty" / "hollow" if that makes any sense? Anyways, hope you like it, Ahmed!

tonight's terrible twos sleep regression wake up brought to you by "i need a big and strong yummy snack" and was resolved by promising to bring in the iPad so he could watch the clip from the Simpsons episode 4x07 ("Bart Sells His Soul") where Bart imagines the magic grow dinosaur growing to full dinosaur size and attacking Lisa.

I understand that Patchwork and Posie are fankids......
BUT I am also obsessed with the idea of Caine one day just going "CONGRATULATIONS, YOU TWO!! YOU'RE PARENTS NOW!!" and spawning children into existence and now the parents just have to. deal with it.
it's funny cause this is honestly what I think happened LOL 💀
I just love to keep in mind that the circus members are avatars in a video game that have to deal with weird video game logistics PLUS caine's lack of human understanding so there's a possibility that caine would view family units as a human concept, therefore finding a way to give them a kid and not giving a crap if they're prepared or not (probably also viewing parenthood as a fun little adventure for them to embark on)
and patches and posie are designed to sorta be,, fusions?? like they are basically codes merged together that took on a personality of their own, as I don't think the circus members could have actual kids
I just think the concept of both funnybunny and abstrabbit struggling to parent a bunch of jumbled glitchy code to be HILARIOUS 😭😭

Do you think that the Library will keep the tradition of having "family meals" together even after everybody gets turned back into adults? I hope it does, even if it would take some sort of invention to help Angela taste and eat food first.
Dear Anonymous,
Honestly? Yeah, I think they will. They already had gatherings before and spent some time together from what we saw in LoR's original credits before they were altered, so why not keep the gatherings around food as well? Although they'll probably still be special occasions, so maybe only once a week or so. I doubt you can convince Binah to participate in such frivolous gatherings more than that.
As for Angela being involved...well, who knows? Perhaps they can, indeed, find a method to include her, but I shouldn't say too much now~
I hope I managed to answer your curiosity, Anon! Until next time, be well, take care, and see ya'!

When you finish a really good fic with an interesting plot that gave you severe emotional whiplash throughout the shenanigans and cliffhangers that has a satisfying conclusion but then you snap back to reality

Challenge #03644-I356: Welcome, Again, to the World
Could we see how the new child is raised? Does Wraithvine take them in, or does Amatu? I'm curious.
https://peakd.com/fiction/@internutter/challenge-03577-i288-a-second-chance -- The New Guy
The jar was heavy, and it seemed to help to have someone either nearby or carrying it. Pondermore took some of the burden while traveling back to see Amatu's girl. Amatu carried it sometimes, or curled around it during their resting hours. Stravras the Really Dark Grey had given them a little device to let them know when or if the being inside needed blood, milk, or some other kind of sustenance. There was a huge list of things that should never be given as sustenance, which included liquid egg yolk and pennyroyal.
They had a cart for this leg of the trip, and Amatu had wrapped himself around the jar. Brooding over the contents in both meanings of the word.
Young men react strangely when they encounter sudden onset fatherhood. Older men are little better.

Are they happy with this life or do they wish for the excitement of being an adventurer? How do they see the adventuring life?
Demos is a bit of both. He loves working with his hands and creating things, so him living a life as a blacksmith made him very happy, along with that he did art commissions on the side (both drawings/paintings and sculpture work). Like this is a man with so much passion for it he is willing to provoke early HW Estinien by taking his lance to sharpen it in a way that it doesn't lose artistry as I hc that some lances were passed down within the Azure Dragoons. But as someone born and raised in a small town where everyone knew everyone there was a desire growing up to explore the world and have adventures. Like it is so so easy to think that Demos disliked all the adventuring he does, but that's not the case at all, he had a dislike how much of it felt like it wasn't his choice.
After the calamity he was dropped off at the conjurer's guild and forced to learn conjury. Then he stumbles across Papalymo and Yda who want to recruit him, and while they respect his initial decline still volunteer him to help out with their newest member of the Scions. The Scions continued to call upon him again and again, and he would have said no had he not seen how reckless Sib was in those early days, there was a draw to protect her from herself and he was doing good things for the betterment of the world, so he kept saying yes when they asked. Then he got snagged into the Dragonsong War and he stayed and helped with that because he not only is trying to atone for his lack of involvement in the 7th Calamity (it wasn't his fault but hey try telling his guilt that), but he also contributed to the cycle of violence by making weapons for the soldiers. On and on and on it goes there's this aspect of "I didn't want to do this. I don't want to be here. When will I get my say in this adventure!" So him really rejecting the title of WoL at the end of ShB is big in that he finally gets a say in it all.
With Dawntrail that was 10000% his choice to partake in something that was doing something for the betterment of the world (i mean lets be real no one wants a person who craves war in a position of political power to make it happen) but also a chance to see some place new before really settling down, as Yugiri was back home getting ready to have their kid.
All in all Demos does have a lot of fun adventuring and seeing the world if he chooses to do it and it doesn't feel thrusted upon him. He is retiring but he'll still be around adventuring in assisting in various role quests in the future, sharpening and making weapons for new and veteran adventurers, and just being a man of advice or someone to lend an ear. He's had enough big, huge adventures for his life, time for new ones closer to home!

Would you like to play a Q and A game?
Out of all the chapters in Adventures in Parenthood! fanfic of yours, which was the:
1. Hardest to write and/or taking the most amount of time to write chapter vs easiest to write and/or taking the least amount of time to write chapter
3. Most fun and exciting to write chapter vs most frustrating and uncooperative to write chapter
4. Required the most planning, research and drafting to write chapter vs the most spontaneous, free flowing and struck by inspiration type of chapter
5. Longest vs shortest chapters (counting the chapters that were supposed to be one chapter but got too long and broken up because of AO3's word limit as one chapter)
Dear Anonymous,
Why, yes! I would in fact, like to play a Q&A game, thank you very much! I do like these sorts of Q&A asks, so allow me to thank you in advance!
Also, obligatory SPOILERS! for Adventures in Parenthood, in case anyone would like to read it spoiler-free!
Honestly, the easiest Chapters to write were the Chapters from 17 through 23. Those were the Chapters I first envisioned when I began writing the storyboard for AiP, and so finally getting to them made them very easy to write, as there wasn't a point where I needed to think of what came next; it all happened very naturally. As for the hardest Chapters the write, they have to be the Epilogues. As the Epilogues are at the very end of AiP, they have to be conclusive. They have to answer every question and leave no loose ends...at least, that's what I personally believe. One of the things that (sometimes) frustrates me with PM is the loose ends they leave, and while I get that (sometimes) it's intentional on their end, I don't want to have that happen with AiP, so I'm trying to be as thorough as possible...not to mention the Epilogues just happened to be written at a time when I'm pressed with lots of work and exams and such. It's part of why they take so much time to publish, not to mention it always feels like something happens in real life when I start getting into the swing of things while writing.
3. Again, I think the title for the most fun Chapter has to go to the Sweeper Saga. There was plenty of action, drama, and fluff, so it was diverse and plentiful, although a close second would be the Karaoke Chaos one, and I think the answer is quite self explanatory. The most fun part about it, however, was how it made a lot of people drop their guards and thus get doubly blindsided by the Chapters that followed, hehehe. As for the most frustrating or uncooperative Chapters...I want to say that all of them have been pretty cooperative, but for some reason the Epilogues just drag on and on and on...I wanted to release two Epilogues last summer, but as you can see, that just didn't happen. I suppose the most frustrating thing is that the circumstances that surround me when writing the Epilogues just aren't that conductive to writing quickly, ahaha.
4. Hmm...This is a good question. I think, from a research point of view, I needed a lot of research for When Fathers Cry and for Fathers Scorned as well, simply because I needed to know how much chlorine and blood loss a human can take to write some of the more...violent scenes there are. I think I needed to research some anatomy for Crimson Tears as well for obvious reasons, and I really needed to watch and rewatch Binah cutscenes for hours so I can try to get a grasp on a childish version of her and the actions she'd take in Arbitrary Emotions.
But the simples Chapter that I wrote in pretty much a day was Old Promises, Same Idiocy. It was completed really quickly and it was a simple prompt I wrote for a very dear friend at first before we realised it fit better as a Chapter in AiP to involve the A3 again. So it was quite spontaneous in both how it was written and how it was inserted.
5. Longest Chapter so far is Epilogue I at around 134,650 words, while the shortest is Old Promises, Same Idiocy; I think it was around 10-14K words. Something along those lines.
Thank you for the fun Q&A, Anon! Until next time, be well, take care, and see ya'!

May you all have a cat that is so determined to lay on you in their quest for cuddles
Ruvik has a habit of half laying on me when I am curled up in bed, it usually starts with a paw on my arm or side - depending on how I am laying
And then some time later he will get up and resettle, like currently his front half is laying on my back, his back half sprawled along my side
A few days ago he tried curling up against the back of my neck - I was laying on my front, half twisted to the side - and he kept sliding off because that made my back be at an angle, and he was so disgruntled about sliding off, he just kept repeating and repeating trying to find the right position so he could lay there (and he did at some point)
