The moment it clicked for Diana why they didn't trust her, she knew what she had to do to gain the Little Warrior's trust.
Diana Prince, Princess of the Amazons. Kneeled down on the ground in front of Danny and said while holding the Lasso of Hestia, the Lasso of Truth "This is a object blessed by Hestia, it forces all that are bound by it to answer and speak truthfully."
Danny flinched back worried that she was going to bind him, shuffling Ellie further behind him.
Diana said "Young warrior, Bind my wrist and ask me. Please" whilst placing it on the floor in front of him.
Doubtful, but with a tiny glimmer of hope in his eyes Danny stepped to the Lasso, and swung it over her wrist.
"Are you working for the or with the Ghost investigation ward?" Danny said with a small flinch as the lasso glowed a beautiful gold that he recognized from time bubbles Clockwork showed him long ago of the different divine aura's he "might" encounter, and should trust ( not a long list ).
"No" spoke Diana without even a hint of hesitation.
"Does the rest of the Justice League, to your knowledge work for or with the Ghost investigation ward?" Another "no" resounded. Along with "And if I learn any do I will stand with you against them."
"You want to fight against those you trusted? Against those you fought alongside?"
"No, I do not. But I will if it means Innocents will be safe."
"Ok, ok.... *Sniffle* Then please help us. Please save my people"
Diana looked up to the tearful brightly glowing eyes of both Danny and Ellie. She moved towards them with her arms open, slow enough that they could easily avoid her.
They don't, Holding them tightly she says "You are not alone Young Prince, Themyscira stands with you"
Diana Prince says softly: "They better pray they have had no hand in the harming of my Children and their kin"
Only then does the Lasso of Truth slide off her wrist.
She has work to do and her family will stand with her.
Okay, so what if Danny and Ellie crashed on Themyscira? When Danny wakes up from passing out, instead of just crying, he turns to the person in the room and demands to know what they did to his sister. He doesn’t trust them one bit when they say she’s okay until she’s brought into the room, safe and sound. Ellie also wanted her big brother because he passed out and practically pounced him when she saw him awake.
Most of the time, Danny stays as alert as he can and keeps glaring at everyone, with Ellie being an exception. He acts very sweet and considerate towards her, and is very patient with her. They still act like siblings sometimes, though. Ellie likes to annoy Danny into chasing her, and it works almost every time. Ellie has told the women there stories about Danny taking care of her. The Amazons think it’s admirable that even though Danny’s a child himself, he acts so much like a guardian, but are saddened by the fact that he has to.
Later on, when he’s starting to trust them, Wonder Woman comes back to visit and investigate. Danny’s very unhappy. In his mind, she works for the Justice League and the Justice League works with the government. You know who works for the government she works with? The G.I.W., and to him, that automatically means that the Justice League knows about them and doesn’t have a problem with it. If they did, they would’ve done something by now.
He avoids her and keeps Ellie by his side or behind him. She trusts his judgment, so she doesn’t argue much when he says to not let Wonder Woman touch her, which is a shame because she’s one of Ellie’s favorites. When Wonder Woman is near Ellie, Danny watches her like a hawk and steps in to pull Ellie away if he thinks things are getting bad.
Wonder Woman definitely notices his behavior. The constant glaring, putting himself between her and his sister, the obvious distrust, his attempts to herd Ellie away from her, and the anxious hand twitching whenever she gets close to Ellie. She knows not everyone likes her, but that’s to be expected when you’re a hero. Someone’s bound to disagree. Still, she can’t help but wonder why he acts as if her touching him or Ellie would be the end of them. When she asks him about it, Danny glares at her and asks why he would trust her.
When she learns about the G.I.W., she’s understandably shocked. The government never told the League about any of it. Danny doesn’t buy it at all and she feels even worse. How long has this been going on that a child not only feels the need to fear and avoid the League, but also have so much distrust that he thinks her genuine reaction to this information is a trick to lure him and his sister into a trap?
Wonder Woman: What reason would you have to fear me?
Danny: Oh, I don’t know. Maybe the fact that you work for the Justice League? Maybe because the Justice League is dangerous?
Wonder Woman: What makes you think we’re dangerous? We only wish to bring Justice to the world.
Danny: “Justice”? Is that what you call letting the Guys In White do as they please? Is that what you call having laws and acts deeming any ectoplasmic entity as lower than animals? If you had anything against it, you would’ve done something by now. Maybe even a long time ago. But nothing’s changed.

Happyhoganon Superboy/Young Bruce Wayne AU Questions: Would AU Superboy still hang with the Legion of the Super-Heroes as often as he did like how it happened in the Silver/Bronze Age of DC Comics? Also, what would his reactions be to seeing what he'll be like as an adult hero via the info the Legion showed him (even if his memories of the info will be wiped from his mind once he returns to the present)?
Note: In case you forget, this is an alternate universe in which Superboy and Bruce Wayne are young teens while every other hero are still adults.
I like the version in which is Kara/Supergirl is the one going to the future to join the Legion when her cousin has already reached adulthood. Since Kal-El has the unique opportunity of learning from the other adult heroes, let her have the experience. Besides, she doesn't need to have her memory wiped upon returning. She'll have a distinct appreciation of all her cousin mean for this planet and its future. Win-win situation.
As for Bruce, he's in the rare stage he still thinks he could learn a thing or two, so he isn't the Batso, not even Batsoboy yet. His learning curve is steep and he is comitted to learn everything possible. Once he embraces the mantle is because he's convinced he knows better than the rest.
Kal's situation is different: he's got plenty to do, because his powers alone make him useful against the bad element. He can go to outer space with the Lanterns, to the bottom of the sea with the Atlanteans. To the jungle and rain forest with Swampthing (even underground), to alternative dimensions with the Flash. He's got a lot of possibilities. The Amazons taught him combat and strategy. In fact, it was Diana, outside her island, who did it, because there are no men allowed in Themyscira. He transmitted some of this knowledge to Bruce, because the Princess couldn't stand the arrogance of the young patriarch. Besides, he's too slow and fragile to fight her.
At this point, Bruce is an annoyance. Clark is already an asset.
It's sad readers and fans can develop better base stories for the heroes than the so called professionals who own them. Thank you.

Time’s Up
Summary: Yelena has been living in the world of men since before Diana left the island. Landing in Maine was meant to be temporary, she wasn't supposed to help raise the future king of Atlantis...or fall for his father in the process.
Tumblr media
Yelena felt the shift in the earth the day Arthur won the thrown of Atlantis. She'd been so proud of her friend, so very proud and somewhat wary of what the next step of his journey would be now that he is king. Tarah had promised she'd do her best to keep their guy in line, Yelena laughed at that knowing that the youngest Xebel daughter would finally get her happy ending. Arthur is that kind of guy, all fun and games but can set his mind to a task...when he sees the dire need for it. All this changed when Vulko showed up at her back door.
"I come bearing news," he said looking happy yet trepidatious, "On his quest to find Atlan's trident, Arthur found the Queen."
Yelena thank the Gods she was leaning against the door frame already. The news wasn't a surprise, hell it wasn't even something she'd thought of in recent years, but something she figured would happen sooner or later.
"She'll be leaving Atlantis this week," he said eyes sad at seeing his friend's shift.
Yelena's unfocused eyes looked to Vulko and to his surprise she smiled.
The spell broke at the approaching footsteps and the pair looked up to find Arthur and Tarah present.
"Vulko just told me you found your mother," Yelena said her smile bright and voice light.
Tarah noticed the unusual brightness in the other woman's eyes but said nothing, now is not the time to stir things.
"Don't do that," Arthur said seriously, approaching the woman he thought of as a sister and engulfing her in his arms and strength, "I know."
Yelena pressed her face to his wet shirt-covered chest and sobbed.
Arthur held her pressing his lips to the crown of her head giving her as much of his strength as he could. Vulko and Tarah not far behind in offering their own support.
From that day on, Yelena did her best to keep her distance from Tom. Giving him every excuse under the sun that allowed her to not be in their his home. Except he made it difficult to avoid him. Sometimes, he'd send Arthur but other times he'd come to her home himself and insist on staying with her in case she wasn't feeling well.
"It's only fair," he'd say as he made himself at home on her sofa, exclaiming with a laugh, "Besides your couch is better than mine."
It was things like this that made her realize that she can't do this. She may be an Amazon warrior, a hardened fighter and all that went with being an Amazon of Themyscira. But she can't be here when the Queen arrived. She had no one to blame but herself at allowing the wall around her heart to fall for this man. This kind, strong and intelligent man...but she wouldn't trade knowing him and his kindness for the world.
"Your back will kill you in the morning Tom," she said kindly, "Take the bed, I can take a night on the couch."
He looked unimpressed with her then and said, "I know you don't need a man to be gentlemanly and all that but my mother did not raise an animal as her son."
Yelena laughed at that and said, "And what do you propose?"
She would have jumped off a cliff at this. This is dangerous territory and she knew it, it wasn't her place to tell Tom the Queen was alive. Hell! It isn't her place to reveal anything regarding Atlantis let alone inform him that his thought dead wife is alive and on her way.
"We're both adults," he began to say and Yelena knew where he was going, "If you ok with it we can bunk up."
To top it all off the thunderstorm outside decided to take the power.
"I'll get some candles," she said and ducked out as steadily as she could without looking suspicious.
Her heart thundered in her chest as she illuminated the hallways of her small home. The lanterns and candles lit up the space giving it a warm romantic note that Yelena didn't need. She did not need to feel like Cinderella right now, all she wants is to go to bed and sleep.
"Come on, I'll get you something to wear," she said nodding in the direction of her room.
Tom looked at her curiously to which she laughed and said, "Arthur crashes here when he gets in later than normal. I'm a usual night owl so him crashing on my couch is not super unusual."
"So that's how he's come home with half a bakery's worth of cookies and pastries," he laughed.
Yelena took this moment to take it all in. The peace that seems to have enveloped them, the familiarity of being in each other's space, and the comfort that came with it. She held that feeling close hoping it would protect her from the inevitable.
In her room, Yelena took a moment while Tom changed in the bathroom to clean up the makeshift art corner closest to the window. Some sketches were of them, her and the Curry men, others of places she'd been and still lives. Her most precious drawing though was from a picture Arthur had taken of them the previous summer. It had been horribly hot for a change and Yelena had taken the time to sunbathe. She remembered how Arthur snapped a picture of Tom checking her out and the subsequent arguing that ensued from Arthur having caught him unaware. And when it got to be too hot, they moved to the back porch of her home. She and Tom shared the swing as he regaled her with stories of gladiators past with her putting in her to cents here and there everyone enjoying the evening. Arthur, the dick that he is, snapped a picture then. A rather lovely candid picture of her and Tom, he didn't do a half-assed job this time to Arthur's credit. That picture, and its sketch, live in her personal sketchbook which she kept hidden in her night stand drawer. There is no way she'd let anyone see how she so carefully drew Tom on the page, how much her heart showed in that care and how easily it would be to see how dearly she loved him.
"Are you ok?" Tom asked coming out of the ensuite.
Yelena nodded and put away the papers and sketchbooks in her hand.
"Anything new?" He asked coming to stand behind her and look at the papers she still held.
"You asked me to depict what generals in Rome looked like," she said showing him her drawing of past emperors and generals from her lifetime so long ago.
She left him to sift through the papers and moved to change into something herself. A pair of long lounge pants and cozy top later, found Yelena under the covers of her bed a book on her lap. She'd checked the book twice to make sure it was right side up, at least this way should could be somewhat subtle in her oogling of him, or so she wanted to convince herself it wasn't oogling.
"Had no idea that the busts created were actually as close to the real thing as we have," he said in wonder.
"Keep in mind, that was the best way for us at the time to take a picture, so to speak," she said with a warm grin before putting her book away.
Tom took this as his queue jump in himself.
Yelena had taken the precaution to give him an extra blanket, coconing herself in her own she tried to fall asleep all the while trying to put out of her mind that Tom is in her bed. She waited for him to fall deeply asleep before turning over as quietly as she could. She stared at him, quite unashamedly, and commited him to memory. Her heart wept in longing at having hime there but not being able to do anything about it. She lay there a few more moments before she slipped off the bed blanket and all making her way to her living room where she sat on her sofa with her legs pulled up as tightly as she could.
She cried quielty into her knees, wishing hopelessly to be back on her island with her sisters. Where there are no men with hearts filled with warmth and honest natures. That ngith Tarah had called and stayed on the line with her, no words needed as Yelena pulled her blanket around her and let the companionship fill her.
As dawn approached, Yelena placed the blanket back on the bed in a slept in manner before going to the bathroom. She did her best to hide the redness from her tears and brushed her teeth. Going to the kitchen she set herself up to make a large breakfast, Arthur is coming to eat and she knew that man could eat her out of house and home if she let him. As she made breakfast her phone vibrated on the counter.
Shark King: She'll be at the lighthouse by sun down. –T
Yelena flipped her phone over, she needed to remain calm. It wouldn't serve either of them for her to break now, so she focused on the food. The bacon had just hit the pan when Arthur walked in, she really needs to take her extra key from him.
"Smells good!" He said with a kind, and hungry, smile going to kiss her on the cheek, "Pop still asleep?"
"Its still early Arthur so yes," Yelena replied flipping the bacon, "The pancakes are in the oven to keep warm, coffee's almost ready and the last thing to make are the eggs."
Arthur nodded and flipped her phone over. He fought the urge to hug her, hold her, anything to try and make her feel better. But as thick headed as he was, he knew that it wasn't a good idea with his pops in the home still.
"Coffee," a still half asleep Tom said as he walked into the kitchen.
Yelena passed him a fresh cup, "Just how you like it."
"You are a goddess," he replied before taking his first drink of the life giving liquid, "And before you say anything Arthur we are all adults here."
"So nothing happened?" Arthur asked his dad teasingly, "I mean have you seen this woman?"
Yelena turned back to the stove in a effort to ignore the line of teasing.
"I have...I'm not blind you know, old maybe but not blind," Tom said with a laugh rubbing Arthur's head affectionately.
"Alright break it up," she said with a smile and plates filled with food, "Both of you wash your hands and then eat."
"Yes ma'am," the men said and did as told much to her amusement.
Yelena left them to eat, manners be damned, and slipped away to change clothes. Taking her personal sketchbook with her, Yelena left her room going through task after task in her mind to keep busy throughout the day.
"Sit and eat Lena," Tom said pouring her a cup of coffee.
"I snacked on bacon and pancakes before you woke up. I'm good honestly," she said in thanks taking the cup of coffee.
Arthur observed her subtly knowing full well she'd not eaten a damn thing. He didn't expect her to either, he made a mental note to shove food at her later though.
"I've to see some clients today for the gallery," she said as she put her sketchbook, planner and phone in her purse, "They want to see some of my pieces and I'm hoping they don't decided it funny to over run my gallery anymore than it already is."
She was ready to walk out the door when Tom calling after her stopped her.
"Leaving without a goodbye?" He asked teasingly.
Yelena rolled her eyes goodnaturedly and walked back into the kitchen.
Arthur ran a hand over his cheek and offered it to her.
She gave it a firm tap and pecked the offered cheek. Turning to Tom the older man embraced her warmly and kissed her cheek wishing her a good day and to please pass by the light house for dinner.
"Only fair after feeding my bull of a son," he laughed.
They shared a laugh at this before she looked at the time and exclaimed that she didn't wan to be late, she stole a piece of bacon from Arthur's plate and bolted out of the house.
She lied when she said she had to be at her gallery, she just got the overcompassing feeling to escape. Yelena drove herself to the beach and ran until she found an empty strip. She sat on her jean jacket as she attempted to draw. Her pencil hovered over the page as she tried to make any sense of her warring emotions.
Tarah found her in the same position some hours later. She gently took the sketchbook from Yelena's weak grasp and saw she'd been staring at the photograph. Closing the sketchbook, Tarah sat next to her friend and held her hand.
"What is she like?" Yelena asked quietly.
Tarah sighed wanting to not answer her but did anyway, "She is kind and strong. Wise and fair, she is caring and warm and not anything like there is currently in Atlantis."
"So her heart matches her beauty," Yelena said with a weak grin.
Tarah nodded and helped her stand. She walked them to Yelena's car where Arthur stood leaning against the hood.
The couple helped Yelena into the car and drove her home. The sun was setting over the horizon making the lighthouse look picturesque, but even from the road she could see the warm and loving embrace of the couple at the peer.
Tarah held Yelena as her frame began to shake and tears and sobs escaped her so carefully built façade.
Arthur pulled up on her property, got out of the driver's seat and got into the back where Yelena sobbed onto Tarah's shoulder offering her as much comfort as she would allow.
The trio stayed like that for a while, Yelena knew she couldn't hide from Tom forever but for now being away from him, Queen Atlanna, their reunion and evidence of their love is how she feels she can somehow breath freely.

Part Four: A small interlude into Althea Prince
After Zeus had blessed her with life, her grandmother, Queen Hippolyta, had prayed and invited the gods and goddesses of Olympus to bless her grandchild. Althea Prince, while not the power house her mother was, was gifted in her own right.
Zeus, the king of the gods, had given Althea the ability to fly.
Athena bestowed the ability of war strategy to the child.
Poseidon allowed the child to breathe underwater.
The goddess of the hunt gave Althea the gift of accuracy.
Ares, with war always on his mind, had given the child the ability to handle any weapon.
Hera, the Queen of the gods, had given the child a gift, but it was unknown to all except her.
The twin of Artemis had gifted the child with medical knowledge, to be able to heal themselves or others.
Hestia, the goddess of the hearth, never wanting the child to grow cold, had bestowed the child with fire, to always keep her warm.
Hermes, a god of trickery and messages, gave the child a quick wit.
Demeter, basically mother earth, had given Althea a green thumb.
The god of craftsmen and fire, bestowed the child with craftsmanship.
Aphrodite’s gift had terrified her grandmother more than anything.
Althea chuckled, only her, her grandmother, and Aphrodite truly knew what the goddess had given her.
The goddess of love and beauty had foresaw that Althea Prince was already to grow up beautiful. So, she had done the next best thing. She had crafted and pulled the right strings for Althea Prince to have a true love.
Her grandmother was horrified, but had thanked the goddess either way. She had not told a single soul of Aphrodite’s gift, claiming that the goddess gave the child the gift of beauty. She feared what the goddess’s gift would do to her family. For centuries, Amazons had lived without men, and suddenly the granddaughter of the Queen was to have true love?
Althea guessed that the fear of her granddaughter falling in love is why Queen Hippolyta had demanded that Althea return to Themyscira each summer. Hoping to prevent such a disaster. But Althea knew better than to go against the fates.
The daughter of Wonder Woman chuckled into the night, amused by her grandmother’s actions. Althea sat by her windowsill, overlooking Wayne Manor’s garden. Her room here was as big as the one in Themyscira, though certainly not as technologically advanced.
Both of her rooms were decorated differently. The one in Wayne Manor was like a breath of fresh ocean air. The walls were white, though not blindingly so. Her dresser and other appliances were made of Themyscira’s rare maple trees. Soft blues, grays, and white were the theme colors of her room.
It was a simple room that reminded her of home. The one thing that she truly missed about Themyscira was its sandy beaches and blue waves.
Her room in Themyscira was as if she took a piece of Wayne Manor’s decor and it threw up in her room. Her appliances were made of dark oak, with her theme being dark red, dark brown, black, and a touch of gold. The thought of having Wayne Manor in Themyscira and vice versa had brought a smile on Thea’s face.
Though she was raised on Themyscira as a young girl, she had grown up in man’s world as a young adult. Gotham was just as much her home as Themyscira.

Hey! Love your fics and headcanons they are legit some of the best things I look forward to in a day:D. Just wanted to know what your opinion was on Jay/Donna. Like how do you think their relationship dynamic would work? I just have this recurring scenario that Jay is at Themyscira Library like reading up on lore(Say this is the Magical!Jason you wrote a while ago)and Donna visits the library after a tiring day of practice and sees Jason there and is like"How are you allowed on the island"?(1/2)
(JayDonna anon)At first Donna doesn't recognize Jay outside the mask(she's only heard about his looks from Roy-who they've both dated)and asks if he's the vising priest of Apollo/Athena or smtg and Jay just plays along and they flirt before J says "Yea I got permission from Athena to visit the island, gotta to research for this monster I'm hunting" and like they hunt monsters for a bit (your typical romantic date). This could work with the Magical!Jay or just demigod!Jay-sun of Apollo/Athena (2/2)
*************
Aww thank you, hon ;)
JayDonna is that pairing that it’s always somewhere on the backbrner for me, because I much prefer him with Kori or Kara... but it’s in intriguing idea if Donna getting to know adult Jay for real - out of the Pit’s influence, out of Gotham, - just a man who is crazy capable, smart and driven to do good - even if his methods are not pure and harmless, he always chooses to fight in the name of those weaker than him.
And Amazons respect that - a race of women born to fight and protecting, they can’t afford to buy into Batman’s ideology - they are not vigilantes, they are warriors and they know real war and know that you can’t have your cake and eat it too... was Diana not vouching for Bruce, they’d have got rid of his villains a long time ago.
And it’s on Themiscira, surprisingly, where Jay finds understanding and healing. His need for a mother figure is transparent and they respond to it - the world of men hurt him beyond measure and he every warrior needs a down time to rest his mind and recover.

It Goes Like This Prologue: Diana
Next up of the Big Three, it’s mortal born Diana Prince! Well, more precisely, it’s the women who came before her, but she’ll show up properly soon enough.
---
“I’m sick of men.”
Not looking up from the financial reports she was going over, Antiope hummed in response to her sister’s growled complaint.
“I mean it, An. I’m sick of them - no more, I refuse to have anything else to do with those, those-”
“Pigs,” Antiope offered.
“Pigs!” Hippolyta agreed, throwing her hands up as she paced back and forth. “Good for nothing except thinking with their stomachs and their-” A knock at the office door interrupted her, causing both sisters to pause.
“Come in,” Antiope called, setting her reports down. One of their younger administrators poked her head past the door, looking excited.
“Pardon the intrusion, ma’ams,” she said, “But you have a visitor.”
Hippolyta grimaced. “If it’s anyone male, tell them to wait an hour.”
“No, Ms. Prince, it’s- well-” A hand reached past her to push the door open further, allowing a tall woman in an austere suit to stride through. Antiope’s eyes grew wide as she immediately stood, and Hippolyta’s expression smoothed over into something pleased.
“Athena Pallas, what an unexpected surprise.” She extended a hand to shake with the head of Owl Enterprises, one of the few big-name tech companies with a woman in charge. Athena smiled back.
“I hope you’ll forgive the abruptness of my arrival, Hippolyta, but my schedule had an unexpected opening and I thought I’d see if we could move up next week’s meeting,” the brunette explained.
“Of course, of course, please have a seat - this is my sister, Antiope, my right-hand woman.”
“Delighted to finally meet you in person, Antiope,” Athena said, exchanging one sister’s hand for the other.
“Likewise- do you prefer Athena or Ms. Pallas?”
“Athena is fine - I’d like to think we’re all sisters in arms, here,” the woman grinned. “Especially if the two of you are willing to consider my offer of a merger.”
That caught their attention, and two pairs of steely grey eyes locked onto her as they all sat down. “What are you proposing, exactly?”
“An upset in the status quo, as it were,” Athena purred. “A few close friends and I find ourselves in positions of individual power, but we’re constantly hampered by those who think less of us thanks to a biological difference - I’m sure you both know what that’s like.”
Hippolyta nodded with a disgusted huff, while Antiope kept her focus. “And what friends would these be?”
Athena smiled sharply. “Demeter Floros of Greenfinch Producers. Aphrodite Loveborne with Passion Advertising. Hestia Kokkinos of Hearthside Manufacturing. And my stepmother, Hera Argyris, who’s recently taken charge of Olympian Industries with my father’s, ah, indisposition.”
Zeus Skyson’s sudden legal troubles, the sisters knew, meant his company’s board of directors had seen fit to remove him from the position of CEO. What they hadn’t known was that Athena apparently didn’t mind working with her stepmother, contrary to tabloid gossip.
“That’s, ah, quite an array of companies,” Antiope said slowly.
“Powerhouses in all their fields of business,” Athena agreed. “Which is why we’d like to join forces with you ladies - we need financial managers capable of keeping us working together, of blending us into a proper conglomerate.”
The sisters exchanged a wide-eyed glance. “...why?” Hippolyta finally asked.
“Why you?”
“Well, yes, but also - just why? What is the point? This can’t just be solely for female solidarity - can it?”
Athena chuckled. “Well, that is one aspect to it, but beyond that we want to make a business model that takes care of our employees, turns a profit, and sees a great deal of that money go towards programs that help teenage runaways, abortion clinics, battered women, daycares, single mothers, foster homes, so on and so forth.”
“Ambitious,” Antiope muttered.
“Will you help us?”
There was a brief pause, before Hippolyta answered. “We’ll need to work out precise terms, but - yes. This sounds like something we want to be part of.”
Their guest beamed. “Excellent. I’ll start making arrangements for you to meet with the others - if we keep this quiet up until the moment we all move, we’ll hopefully be able to keep the men on our various boards from being able to kick up a fuss.”
-P-
Amazingly, their plans went off without a hitch.
Working through Themyscira Financials, the women were able to put together their plans without arousing suspicions in their own companies. The announcement of the mass merger went out the same day they brought paperwork to their various boards, an ambush that left few able to protest.
Demeter’s company brought in the raw materials for Hestia and Hera to create Athena’s architectural and technological innovations, which Aphrodite then marketed and sold. At the heart of it all, Hippolyta and Antiope kept crunching numbers, sorting out what profit needed to go back into the company, what went to their employees and shareholders, and the fifty percent that was put aside for the women’s programs, shelters, and other institutions. Within two years, they saw impressive returns on their investments, with many of the people they helped becoming dedicated customers in return - some even applying to be hired by Paradise Incorporated, eager to help pass on the goodwill that they’d been given.
Eventually, the group decided to establish a new headquarters - a company compound with offices and residential suites for all the on-site staff, within a reasonable commute distance to Metropolis. About that same time, Hippolyta, still sick of men, came to a decision.
“I’m going to have a baby.”
Not looking up from the financial reports she was going over, Antiope hummed in response to her sister’s sudden announcement. Then the actual words sank in, and she blinked. “You’re- sorry, what?”
“I’m going to have a baby,” Hippolyta said again. “I’ve got an appointment at an artificial insemination clinic in two weeks.”
“Oh for goodness sake, don’t scare me like that,” her sister groaned. “I thought you meant you were already pregnant - which would be a trick and a half, considering you swore off men three years ago and haven’t looked back since.”
Hippolyta snorted, moving to sit by her office window, the one that overlooked the enclosed park in the center of the Paradise compound. Six floors of tinted glass that absorbed light for solar power overlooked a couple of fish ponds, an in-house vegetable garden, various fruit trees and flower beds, and an open green. Women strolled or sat throughout the park, some with small children or friendly dogs, eating lunch or working on touchscreen pads or just enjoying the scenery. Paradise had some male employees, of course, but since their headquarters doubled as living space for women who’d been hired out of their rehab and recovery programs, none but the fairer sex and their children were allowed inside.
(Some news media did their best to turn the discrimination fight onto them for the conglomerate’s blatant favoritism - Aphrodite’s ladies promptly put out numbers on their endeavors to support male survivors of abuse and rape, as well as historical records of just how much women had suffered in the past when they were kept legally and socially from being able to look after themselves.)
Their work truly had turned Paradise into something incredible, and Hippolyta felt ready to share that with a child of her own.
A daughter of her own.

I admit, I’ve always been a big fan of Greek Mythology, hence some fun with the surnames and company roles of the goddesses. Other members of the pantheon will probably show up in future, either as allies or antagonists, so keep your eyes peeled!
Next up we’ll have Kal’s prologue, and then some actual adult shenanigans to add to the story.

Alexandros, Prince of Themysicra // Alexandros Prince // Wonderboy
Tumblr media
(fc: Avan Jogia) Age: (Variable, but generally in his teens, would be 14 in 2019) Aliases: Wonderboy, Prince Alexandros Date of Birth: June 20th Species: Amazonian-Atlantean Demi-God (It’s complicated and not meant to power-game him up, read his biography to understand)
Universe Inspiration: Post-Darkseid War Prime Earth
Appearance Alexandros bears a striking resemblance to his mother, with prominent features and olive skin, as well as distinct dark hair. Despite his young age, Alex has lead an extremely active lifestyle, and has a build that reflects this. Trending to be tall for his age, Alexandros is 5′9″ by the time that he leaves Themyscira, and stands at 6′4″ by the time he’s done growing in his early 20s.
While not immediately apparent, or often noticeable after a small inspection, Alexandros does have very subtle gill slits along his neck that only move and function when he uses them to breathe underwater. These sit along the underside of his jawline, like other atlanteans, and allow him to process the oxygen in water, to remain submerged in oxygen-rich water for indefinite periods of time.
Generally speaking, Alex tends to wear comfortable clothing such as tanktops, running pants, and sweatpants. When dressed in his capacity as Prince of Themyscira, he will opt for more formal Amazonian-style apparel, usually wearing finer fabrics and cloaks sent to him by the embassy.
In his capacity as Wonderboy, Alexandros wears an Amazonian raiment reminiscent of his mother’s, although modified as a full shirt, and with lower legs on the boots, only going protecting up to his knees. In traditional Greek fashion, he wears a modest undergarment, but does not wear full-length pants, as this was not considered something that Greeks wore, as it was commonly more associated with Persians, Eastern, and Germanic cultures.
As well, the Prince wears the same tiara, bracers of submission, and weaponry as his mother did during her original journey into the world of man.
Personality As Prince of Themyscira, Alexandros is possessed of the qualities taught to him since a youth. He knows how to properly hold himself, in dignified settings, and has a natural drive to do what’s best for his mother and sisters. Even as a Titan, Alex tends to adopt a sort of fraternal relationship with his teammates, although he is initially standoffish with most of them, not wishing to discuss any emotional issues he was experiencing at the time. This is generally indicated by his desire to use the terms “sister” and “friend” preceding the name of particular individuals. He is very discerning with this term of endearment, due to the abuse of the term “brother” used when directed at him by Amazonians who objected to his presence on Themyscira.
Alex tends to wear his heart openly, being willing to tell others what he’s feeling, but not the reason why, unless pressed. This is a defense mechanism that Alexandros developed so as to not worry his mother, or give his teachers recourse to label him unsuitable for combat.
Fiercely protective of those he loves, Alexnadros will often lash out at those who speak disrespectfully of people he cares about, particularly his mother. However, he does hold a powerful indifference towards his father, and much of Atlantis as a whole, excepting his younger brother, whom he doesn’t have an excellent relationship, and his uncle Orm, who he meets in secret throughout his teens.
Largely, throughout his young life, Alexandros was enamored with another Amazonian who had been born at around the same time as himself, Anasatasia, who was undergoing training to become royal guard to his mother. But due to her death at the hands of Cheetah, he suffers from a sense of survivor’s guilt, as she perished protecting Alex, and as a young man he displays an inability to move past this.
Biography Alexandros Prince is the bastard-born son of Diana, then-Princess of Themyscira, and Orin, King of Atlantis. Initially born of a short relationship between Diana and Orin, Alexandros’s legality as a child was considered nullified by Arthur’s marriage to Mera. Typically speaking, this would indicate that Alex would have no claim to the Atlantean throne, barring a lack of legal heir for Arthur, which was fulfilled in Orin II who was born a half-year later.
Due to his lack of legal claim to Atlantis, in the traditional sense, it was felt by Diana that her son wouldn’t be able to lead a safe life amidst the political intrigue and generally toxic environment of Men’s kingdoms, even one that was so relatively further-along in its policies and culture as Atlantis. As a result, the custody of Alexandros would be held by Diana, and he would spend the lion’s share of his youth on Themyscira, rather than Atlantis.
This would be considered controversial among the Amazonians, as roughly a third of the island’s inhabitants would be opposed to the presence of a male child, even if he were to be solely raised by them. Hippolyta would also object to this, on the principle that it was a significant burden that Diana would place upon her as queen, to expect her mother to take on such a difficult issue, due to Diana’s desire to want a male child to raise.
Refusing to allow her mother to force Diana to do what Hippolyta had done to Jason centuries before, Diana would take on the crown of Queen of Themyscira herself, officially retiring as a full-time superhero, and permanently placing herself on the reserve JLA roster, Diana would use both her position as Queen and Goddess of War to declare that Alexandros was Amazonian by right of blood.
As a youth on the island, Alex would grow with the other young Amazonians, born to the island by a number of ways, as they had repopulated the island since the dawn of its existence, either through the rebirth of women who had been murdered by men, or born of Amazonians through the pairings with men of Greek Islands and ships. Many of these young women would be Alex’s first Sisters, as they would not initially hold the biases and prejudices of the older women as strongly, though this would change as time passed on.
Due to this, Alexandros would spend much of his time feeling alienated by adults in his life, rather than being referred to by the expected “Brother” he would often be disparagingly referred to as “Little Brother” by Amazons who cared little for his presence, or what his existence represented.
While no direct and overt manifestations of this enmity would frequently occur, it was often enough that Alex would detect a pattern, and while not self-isolating in response, began to segregate his time to those amazonians who took less issue with his presence.
Alex’s best friend on the island would be Anastasia, an Amazonian two years his senior who dreamed and trained to someday be a part of the queen’s guard. These two would be very close, and Alexandros would develop something akin to a romantic love of the girl, though he would be too young to understand these feelings fully until it was too late.
During Alexandros’s thirteenth year, one year after Anastasia joined Diana’s guard, Barbara Minerva, The Cheetah, would infiltrate Themyscira and make an attempt on Diana’s life. She cut a bloody swath through a number of Amazonians, at one point nearly managing to kill Alex as well, although he was hidden beneath Anastasia’s body as Diana fought the villain off, ultimately forced to kill Barbara.
It was over the next year that Alexandros would become shoddy in his training, sloppy, and more withdrawn, thrown into a depression that initially was sought to be repaired by his mother sending him to Atlantis, to spend time with his father and brother.
This wouldn’t be a constructive visit, as many Atlanteans at court saw Alex as not only a future threat to the status quo and line of succession, causing them to be distrustful, but many consider him to be no different than any other surface-dweller, a sentiment that Alex would believe in himself as well. This caused him to spend no more than a few weeks in Atlantis before returning to Themyscira, only feeling greater isolation, as the only other place that he understood COULD be a home proved to feel even lonelier than the island where his best friend had once lived.
During his fourteenth summer, near the time of his birthday, Diana would inform Alexandros that it was time for him to see the world, much as she had, and would travel to The World of Man as a diplomatic envoy. While this wouldn’t really be a diplomatic mission as much as a year abroad to discover himself, Alexandros would, for all intents and purposes BE a diplomat, reside at the embassy, and attend events as the prince of Themyscira. Knowledge of his parentage wasn’t publicly known until an incident in which Alexandros physically assaulted the sitting president of the united states, for making lewd remarks about his mother, and a non-existent alliance between Themyscira and the United States.
Not long after this, Alexandros would befriend the newest Robin, Blair Grayson, and would help him reestablish The Teen Titans, building Titan’s Tower with several other teen heroes of the time, including Caroline Kent (The newest Supergirl) and several other heroes who weren’t affiliated with prominent heroes of the time.
On his fourteenth birthday, Alexandros named Athena his patron of choice, declaring his success and glory would be in the name of the goddess.
Abilities and Skills -Amazonian Training: As is typical with any Amazonian, Alexandros has fairly extensive training in the use of weapons, unarmed combat, and a host of relevant academic disciplines, such as Greek Languages, arts, and world history. In particular, Alexandros is gifted in swordsmanship, and use of the bow, favoring those same weapons as his selected patron: Athena. -Leadership and combat tactics: While not the most adept at the personal side of leading a team, Alexandros is very skilled at coordinating others for the purposes of utilizing their abilities to be highly effective in combat, and coming up with creative means of defeating unusually powerful foes.
Superhuman Powers and Abilities -Amazonian-Atlantean Hybrid Physiology: As an Amazonian and Atlantean, Alexandros experiences a naturally enhanced physiology. Most Amazonians generally rest at the peak of human ability, with the training pushing them into the realm of superhuman ability. Additionally, Atlanteans are naturally powerful as a compensation for their high-pressure environment. In tandem with his typical Atlantean advantages, his father is exceptional among Atlanteans due to his noble heritage, which reflects in Alex. Alexandros possesses the following qualities as a result of these: --Superhuman Strength: By the merit of solely his Atlantean heritage, Alexandros is extremely powerful, particularly underwater, where the resistance and pressure of the depths have a greatly reduced effect on Alex. If not for his divine empowerment, it would be expected that Alex would resultantly become strong to a similar magnitude of his father. --Superhuman Durability: Alexandros is highly durable, able to sustain physical attacks from nearly all manner of foe without any sort of divine empowerment. However, edged attacks and bullets specifically are able to injure Alexandros as easily as any other form of attack, despite his Atlantean heritage, requiring him to be cautious still. --Superhuman Speed: Similar in speed to his mother, at his age, Alexandros steadily grows faster as time goes on, able to keep up with speedsters at a cruising pace, although this is his upper degrees of effort. --Superhuman Reflexes: Alexandros’s ability to react and process information is highly advanced, able to keep up with his physical speed. --Superhuman Agility: Thanks to his training, Alex is able to express a degree of athletic acuity far beyond that of the finest human athletes, only losing his senses of balance and coordination when sabotaged. --Superhuman Stamina: Alexandros can engage in combat almost indefinitely, so long as he is not injured, or grossly outmatched by a foe. He is incapable of tiring out, as Amazonians do not produce lactic acids. Injury and fatigue can set in if Alex is forced to fight at his full strength for too long. --Enhanced Senses: Due to his Atlantean nature, Alexandros is able to see very well in the dark, and navigate by a sort of echolocation, being able to ascertain his surroundings based on sounds alone. However, this is far inferior to even typical Atlanteans, as Alexandros hasn’t spent sufficient time in the depths to adapt to their sensory environment. --Water Freedom: Like other Atlanteans, Alex is able to move freely underwater, seeming to not be effected by resistance and pressure, giving him great advantage in submerged combat. --Water Breathing: Thanks to the gills nestled beneath his jawline, Alex is able to breathe water as effectively as on the surface. -Demi-god Physiology: When Alexandros was conceived by his parents, his mother, Diana, was the goddess of war. Additionally, that same mother was also the daughter of Zeus, influencing Alexandros’s physical composition accordingly. While the full extent of his powers are muted to a degree by his bracers of submission, Alex is still considerable, and passively benefits in some key ways from his parentage. --Enhanced Durability: Further enhanced by his magical nature, Alexandros has a similar type of durability to his mother, allowing him to sustain attack from kryptonians and other similarly strong individuals. As well, Alex is resistant to many forms of magical attack, even if they are directed specifically to affect him. --Further Enhanced Physiology: The physical components of Alex’s body are even greater when his godly powers are in use. These are largely subdued by his bracers of submission, though, and he must remove the cuffs to tap into his full godly powers. --Accelerated Healing: Amazonians recover from injury naturally quickly, but due to his mother’s war god nature, he is further able to recover from the fallout of war quickly. Unfortunately, this does not extend to attacks that aren’t sustained in combat, so sneak attacks that don’t result in any fighting which Alex participates in have to largely heal normally. --Flight: Alex is able to fly without any apparent propulsion. This ability is magical in nature, and is vaguely related to his descent from Zeus. He is able to fly at high speeds, and do so underwater, almost unobstructed. --Animal Empathy and Telepathy: Inherited from both parents, Alexandros is able to telepathically communicate with animals. Although he has the potential to tap into the clear, and influence marine life to a greater degree, he hasn’t trained with this power, and only has a mildly greater talent with marine life. --Immortality: Alexandros is unable to die of old age, and once he reaches his peak will cease aging normally. -Blessing of Athena: Granted to him for declaring Athena his patron, Alexandros has access to knowledge that he typically would not be able to, simply by standing in its presence (meaning he doesn’t need to read a book to know its contents, simply be near it, this does not work with technology). As well, when in any academic institution, or library, Alexandros is cured of, and immune to, the rage of war.
Weaknesses and Limitations -The Rage of Ares: While his mother may have not been affected by the god of war’s rage so much. But, due to his nature as man, Alex may occasionally slip into the song of war, falling into the beats too readily, and losing himself to the singing of the blades. At this point he ceases to tell friend apart from foe, and becomes a danger to himself and his own allies. This rage can be overcome with clarity and magical compulsion, but it’s difficult for Alex to do this on his own. -Dehydration: Alex must submerge himself fully in water roughly every 12 hours, or he will begin to suffer the effects of dehydration. This will progressively weaken him physically and emotionally, becoming exhausted within a day. Sea water will restore Alex more quickly, particularly Mediterranean water, but any kind will do in a pinch. -Complex Family Life: Due to his status as a son of the goddess of war, grandson of Zeus, bastard of Atlantis, and champion of Athena, Alexandros has a number of enemies. Many of these he is both aware of and unaware of, requiring him to often avoid the ocean, having long been discouraged by his mother of taking to open sea of any sort. Generally speaking, many large lakes, particularly those connected to the ocean, are nor much better.
Possessions and Equipment -Bracers of Submission: The same bracers worn by his mother during her initial adventures in the world of man, these magical bracelets can deflect attacks, even bullets. Made from the 8th metal, they are capable of deflecting Omega Beams. Additionally, thanks to an enchantment laid into them by Hephaestus, they are able to manifest a host of weapons and shields that Alex can use. -Tiara of Themyscira: The same worn by his mother, he is not aware that it can be thrown as a weapon. -Orm’s Trident: The trident used by Orm during his time in which he did not have his original one, taken by Mera at the time, this weapon blends magic and technology to allow its user to manipulate water, the weather, and generate bolts of lightning. The blasts are magical in nature, allowing him to affect magical and non-magical beings with it. Alex lacks proficiency with this weapon, and uses it infrequently. -Lasso of Clarity: A counterpart to his mother’s Lasso, blessed by Athena rather than Hestia, the lasso is able to clear the mind of maladies, insanity, and misinformation, allowing those who touch it by skin to recognize truth when it is presented to them. This does not cure mental illnesses that aren’t magical in nature, however.

name: diana hippolyta prince
age: 2,200, however wonder woman is only 85 years old, and diana pays much more attention to counting that than her date of creation
date of birth: march 22nd of a year alright
fandom: dc
faceclaim: gal gadot
height: 6’0
pronouns/gender identity/sexual+romantic identity: she/her, cis female, bisexual biromantic
where have they been living since the return snap: washington dc
what have they been doing personally and/or professionally since the return snap: one of the three justice league leaders (and the one with the least personal life), and the ambassador to themyscira, diana is always busy. it never stops, but especially once the world was in crisis, people confused as to what to do now that people were back, diana stepped into action in any way she could, acting as a symbol for those that came back.
however, she came under fire, people believing her to have abandoned those that needed her despite having no control.
particularly, veronica cale took advantage of these small bits of doubt, rallying people against diana.
a riot broke out, the people rallying against diana storming the embassy, led by veronica cale. supporters joined, protesting that it was wrong to hold things against diana that she couldn't control.
veronica cale arranged for the loudest of those against diana aside from herself to be killed at the riot, blaming diana for the actions and implying she had it done.
veronica shows footage from past fights the justice league have been a part of, showing diana giving orders that could lead people into danger, claiming it to be for the greater good. specifically, she weaponizes footage of barry asking diana for advice about a forest fire, and diana telling him that they had to let it burn so the forest could be reborn. veronica also brings into question the idea that diana didn't do all she could during the battle for earth, claiming that she should be used to fights on that magnitude by now.
at the worst time, themyscira was attacked, diana forced to go home when hera yet again grew jealous of her husband's wandering eyes, claiming he'd set his sights on the amazons, and hera blew up a portion of themyscira. diana dealt with the crisis, but was met with backlash, as this meant she wasn't present for any of the fights against the judges in gotham.
people started crying out for the other wonder woman, yara flor, to stop her time as wonder girl, saying diana's time was up. diana has since shared her thoughts on this to varying degrees of reception, still dealing with the divided public, but has returned from themyscira, full time focusing on the justice league again.
if they are part/have ever been a part of SHIELD or the avengers team, when did they join and why: well, no, actually. has probably worked with SHIELD more often realistically
do they currently live in the avengers compound: AHAHA no
moral alignment: neutral good
dusted in the snap or not: lightly dusted
if they were dusted, how did they feel about it and how have they adjusted since returning: diana isn't mad about the act of being dusted. five years isn't too many in the grand scheme of things, not when you lived as long as she did. she was pissed about thanos, and the way he threatened the world, forcing countless others to suffer. she fought tirelessly at the battle for earth due to this outrage, going after thanos himself at one point, but she was knocked back, attacked by one of his army, and launched herself into that fight instead. it wasn't her place to go after him anyways, something diana was well aware of.
it didn't take much to readjust at first, similar to when diana took extended stays on themyscira, time passing by not at all unfamiliar to her, especially not after the long break she took after world war ii. however, the people's reactions were what got diana, diana trying to show compassion and share how she was dealing, though certain groups latched onto her statements, not receiving them well.
ramble a bit about them, their past, what their current motivations are: diana was made from clay, given life by her father, zeus, along with her sister, nubia. the two were separated, nubia being stolen by ares when she was created, raised as his. diana was the only child on themyscira, raised communally by the amazons. she aged slowly, not reaching a fully adult state until nearly 2,000 years in, and even then, she was sheltered. her mother, hippolyta, insisted she learn to fight, the amazons a warrior society, but they were a warrior society that didn't know war.
until steve trevor washed up on their shores. he was injured, and diana cared for him, nursing him back to health, though when this was discovered the other amazons fell back on tradition, claiming he had to be killed, as was aphrodite's law when she created themyscira to punish the amazons, hiding it in the ocean so they would never be found, and would struggle to find their way back if they ever left.
hippolyta, diana's mother, the queen of the amazons, was the one forced to banish diana when she refused to allow steve trevor to die, though she did this with a heavy heart.
hippolyta gave diaqna one last night on the island before the banishing, claiming they would kill steve in the morning before diana's banishment. the throne room was left nearly entirely unguarded, hippolyta arranging for diana's favourite guard to be the only one guarding the throne room.
diana stole the lasso of truth, as well as her mothers's ritual armor, after prodding from said guard, and took steve trevor away from themyscira that night, entering man's world for the first time.
diana was a major player in world war ii, fighting on the side of the allies and becoming a symbol. also stuff with ares happened okay you KNOW what happened im using the movie here but world war ii and more diana punching nazis and exploding tanks.
steve trevor died, and after this diana started her journey to find themyscira again, taking years to do so, though through this she was able to break the spell aphrodite had cast hiding the island, for better or for worse.
it took diana decades to come back to man's world, though when she did she acted as the emissary to themiscyra, finally putting it in connection with the rest of the world, though the other spells on the island (such as the one forbidding men) held tight. diana also brought steve trevor back for the first time here, though she would do so twice (so far).
when the justice league formed, diana was one of the first members, before they had a name. she's been an active leader ever since.
one plot idea, big or small, you’d like to do with them: change and adapt death of magic stuff, also please let her somehow have a connection to thor

five places rhaenys never ended up?
i.) rhaenys of themyscira
It was easy to pretend that she had known nothing but her many mother-sisters, nothing but the sands and swords of her home.
But taking the easy way was to deny the truth, and she would not shame her family so.
Io had found her, small and bleeding, near Hestia’s temple, wrapped in a bedsheet and trying to be silent.
(The cat, though, had yowled loud enough to raise the dead. There was something peculiar about that cat, Io always said.)
Io, taller than anyone, even the Princess, and wider still across the shoulders, had picked the girl up as if she was made of glass and carried her to Epione.
The girl had lived, despite the blood she had lost and the wounds she had taken.
(Faruka claimed it showed strength, Menalippe that she was favored by the gods. Epione and Althea claimed it good healing work. The Queen merely sighed with a little smile she had frequently worn when the Princess was a child, and not... well, the Princess, and everyone had argued in a similar way.)
When she woke, she watched them all with eyes as round as shields, and told them what she remembered of the men with swords, and her mother’s screams.
She stayed with them, and her nights ended with fewer screams, after a while.
(It was an affliction they were familiar with, if not in a child so young.)
She took to trailing behind Magala, which was a bit strange, but the sorceress was patient. She also haunted Althea, all smoky curls and steady hands in the healer’s rooms. She stayed with Io, though, in a spare room over the forge, where she was quiet and mended things, save for the moments she sang.
(Io chased the musicians away, because if Althea did it, then there would be no peace.)
So the girl had grown, and none had minded when she hid when Steve Trevor arrived, and the contest came. She was still very young- eight, at most.
Ten years later, the barriers... didn’t come down, not properly, but someone (Athena, Menalippe claimed) made it permeable.
There were, the Princess said thoughtfully, other girls of a similar age, working to make the world a better place, and that Rhaenys might benefit from learning from them.
All the Amazons were surprised when their solemn little shadow looked at her, bit her lip, and said, “That might be a good idea.”
ii.) Nell of Dorne (By Way of Camelot)
Someone had pinched his ear. Someone smaller than him, with non-knightly hands. Calloused, though.
He managed to twist enough to see a mass of black curls and scars peeping from Nell’s sleeve. Morgana’s pet harper was even younger than him, if not by much, a Dornish girl who made melodies clever enough that even Arthur paid attention. In return she was ferociously loyal to Morgana. (Also Gwen.)
“What did I do now?” Merlin asked. She dragged him to a storeroom, not letting go of his ear.
“You drugged Morgana,” she accused, jamming a finger in his face.
He blinked, trying to figure out what she knew. “The sleeping draught? Technically, that was Gaius.”
“Sleeping drought? Stranger wept, whatever you were doing is driving her mad,” the harper said. “I gave her lavender and poppy tea instead the last two nights, and it seems to have fixed it, but if you try it again, I will slice you neck to navel.”
Merlin gulped. Nell was nice enough, mostly. Right up until you... threatened her friends. Then she seemed to think she was a terrifying giant dragon.
And what did he go and do.
“I- I- It was supposed to keep her calm,” he said finally. “From dreaming.”
Nell huffed. “Oh, this is about that seven-damned ban. I would love to take her to... not Asshai, that would be horrible for her, but perhaps Braavos?”
He blinked. How did she?
“There was a magical fire in her room. When she was having nightmares,” she said, dryly. “Oddly, despite our friendship, I seem to lack that willful blindness everyone else seems to cultivate.”
“There may be people... closer,” he tried, wondering how much to hint. She scowled.
“Oh, yes, the paranoid King prone to lashing out and refusing to admit he is wrong will gladly allow his niece to live with... Merlin, are you listening to yourself?” she asked. “That is thoughtless on par with the Silver Prince himself.”
“Who?” Merlin asked, tilting his head.
“It would be best to ask me again when the Dornish sour comes in,” she said, pinching her nose. “I know a few tricks that may help her, for now.” She gave a bitter grin before sweeping a finger across the scar marring her cheek. “I know something of bad dreams.”
Somehow, that translated to shooting a sorceress with a crossbow, nearly getting herself banished, and extracting a promise to help her if she needed it. Morgana did stop setting things on fire accidentally, though.
(Which was when the Lannister delegation arrived, and it turned out little Nell was actually Princess Rhaenys and had a price on her head. Also, that her brother had an army, though Nell had apparently not known that. He’d sent her to Gwaine, who agreed to keep her safe and probably needed to be kept on his toes. He didn’t get why Morgana kept laughing.)
iii.) Renee Rhodes
“Sorry, no, you fucked up, you don’t get our mini-Rhodey,” Tony said, and Auntie Pepper was nodding. Her dad looked furious and like it was a really, really good thing that he was mostly a responsible adult who was not in his suit right now. Spidey was at her shoulder, which was... well, he was younger than her, but he could also bench press a car.
Thor, weirdly, was even glaring at them. Though given Renee’s burn-proofing and the bit where he was GOD OF THUNDER, she was willing to give that a pass until she and Friday could talk it over privately later.
“Her father-” the man- who was apparently her bio uncle, and she could see it, actually, they had the same nose and hair and way of flattening their mouths when they got mad.
“Is right here,” Rhodey said. “I raised her, was there when Renee was sick, taught her to ride a bike and drive a car, had her educated, and did a lot more for her than a man who you said left her and her brother for some teenager.”
“I want to teach her to fly a suit,” Tony said, and that was why he was her favorite not-allowed-to-call-him-uncle. “Also, I taught her to shoot.”
“I remember yelling at you for that,” Dad agreed. “You also taught her basic coding, which is... better. Much better.”
“Could I learn to shoot?” Spidey asked.
“Tony had me sit though so many lessons before I held the gun,” she whispered. “So many.” Also, it had been... just post cave-escape. And Obie’s black-hat reveal, and apparently he’d gone a little overprotective vis-a-vis his goddaughter.
“Is Tywin Lannister among the dead?” Thor asked, and Renee went still at the look on her bio-uncle’s face.
“Not yet,” her bio-uncle said.
“Then Princess Renee is in grave danger going there,” Thor said, simply. “Until Lannister and his puppets are dead.”
“Well,” Spidey said, “at least we aren’t taking over this planet?”
“No planets until she’s thirty,” Tony said.
“Co-parenting,” Renee hissed at Spidey, who choked.
Seriously, she occasionally wondered if her dad and Uncle Tony were more than soft-bros, but Auntie Pepper had staying power. Also, was awesome.
Adorable ruthless dorks in love and all that.
Also, the Rescue armor was much, much less in scope then a planet. Between that an Spidey, twenty-one for solo piloting should work.
iv. Sophia Potter
“Your friend is deeply annoying,” said a voice from behind a stack of books.
James laughed. “How did you find Sirius annoying now?”
“You know, that shouldn’t be the first thing that pops in your head,” his sister said, poking her head out from around the books. “You have more than one friend, you know. If your mind just... leaps to Sirius being the problem, then clearly you agree that there is one.”
“Sophia,” he said, “I think the Prewett twins set up bets on you and Sirius fighting.”
She sighed. “He’s planning on dragging me to Hogsmeade tomorrow.”
“You like arguing with Sirius,” James pointed out. “You say I’m too nice, Remus and Peter get too upset, and...”
“You give me sad looks if I argue with Lily,” Sophia agreed. “Sirius said that I’m working myself too hard, and I’ll end up locked in some tower if I keep it up.”
James couldn’t argue- Lily and Marlene had frogmarched her to lunch, Sirius had badgered her to dinner last night, and he was getting her to dinner now. Remus agreed to coax her to go upstairs, at least, later. There were dark circles under her eyes, and he wondered if she’d crack and ask for Dreamless Sleep soon, or if she’d writing in her carefully annotated and encoded notebook.
(Having a Seer for a near-twin was worrying, a lot. Especially when she wasn’t a normal seer, but had dreams like tea-leaves and tarot cards with occasional flashes of events.)
“He’s worried about you,” James admitted. “Soph, we all are.”
“I’m more worried about you,” she admitted, biting her lip. “Promise me...” she sighed. “Gah, I don’t even know exactly what to ask you to promise.”
“I’ll be careful?” he tried.
She shot him a deeply skeptical, deeply hurtful look. It would have been entirely undeserved... if she hadn’t been there when he attempted a Wronski Feint when he was nine. Or through the Animagus transformation. Or when he’d gotten in a duel with Mulciber and Avery and their friends. Or...
Okay, maybe a little deserved.
“There will come a choice,” she said, slightly dreamily. “And you’ll have to choose between blunt loyalty and sheer cleverness.”
“Can you see what I should choose?” he asked, a shiver down his spine. For a second, he thought he smelled the sea, mixing with the smoke from the fires.
“Just the choice,” she said, after a long moment. “There is always just the choice.”
v. rhaenys tully, lady of riverrun
Aegon did not understand, when she smiled as Father told her who she would wed.
The princess, no, not that one, the Dornish one, as if they meant to say the lesser one, though Rhaenys was Father’s favorite, though she was cleverer than Aegon with people, and better at sums to boot, and was much more practical than Daenerys. As if Father had not told her that he would have made her Princess of Dragonstone if he could, that she would have been an excellent queen, but the only way that would have worked would have been over the corpses of Aegon, Viserys, and Daenerys. And even then, she’d probably find herself tied to the Baratheons.
Rhaenys would not have wanted to be Queen- she liked the work, trying to find solutions, but she did not enjoy being around presses of people, preferring the quiet. Her cousins had teased her for it, once, but they stopped soon enough when they realized that she was still good at practical things.
(Occasionally those practical things were jokes.)
But for Aegon to die? No, never. That couldn’t happen.
She watched as her parents paraded young unmarried lords and ladies for her brother and herself. (Viserys was set to wed Shyra Hall, the cool, steady lady of Haystack Hall, who had rendered him completely undignified. It was quite entertaining. Daenerys was still uncertain, but she suspected if her aunt met a pretty young lord the King and Queen would listen. Baelor Brightsmile had a son about Rhaenys’ age, after all.)
Lord Brandon Stark’s son was nice enough, but closer to Dany’s age, and Aegon was clearly fascinated with his sister. Who seemed... sweet? Up until you realized how terribly capable she was of remembering things about people, and after a few years with Mother, the naivete would mellow into sincerity.
(Also, the boy was clearly smitten with Lady Jeyne Westerling, who did need a good husband and wouldn’t find the North too much of a challenge.)
There had been others, including a rather... memorable one from the Tyrells, and Rhaenys had slipped off into the garden for a moment to try and calm herself. (Aegon had found a lady who was acceptable, and Rhaenys could perhaps live in Sunspear with Arianne and keep the accounts.)
“Hullo?” came a voice. “Is anyone here?”
She froze.
“I got turned around a bit,” he said, sounding embarrassed. “I just need to get back inside.”
Blue and red, with fish, she thought. Plus the resemblance to Lady Catelyn and her daughter, therefore, Lord Edmure Tully, heir to Riverrun.
“The roses have overgrown a bit from that angle,” she called. “It hides the door.”
“I could make a jape about roses and entrances,” Lord Edmure said, warmly, “but it seems a bit rude.”
“As Lady Olenna was terribly rude about my mother’s health,” Rhaenys started, before biting off her words. She did like Lord Willas, and more to the point, Allyria deeply liked Lord Willas, and she would not make her friend’s life harder.
“Ah, not terribly tactful, that woman,” Lord Edmure said, coming close enough. Could he see her? She wasn’t quite sure- the garden had been designed with Lady Shiera in mind, and tended to play tricks on the eye. “Made a similar comment about my father.”
“I am sorry to hear that, my lord,” Rhaenys said. “My brother and I begged tales of the Ninepenny Kings off your father and uncle when last they were in the city, and they were kind to two ill-behaved children.”
“Well, he had three,” Lord Edmure shrugged. “Maybe not Cat, but Lysa and I. Plus Petyr.” He rounded the corner, and his eyes widened. “And I was supposed to say the princess could never be ill-behaved, wasn’t I?”
She laughed while he went red as his tunic. “Oh, my lord, my mother would call you a wretched liar if you did.” She waved toward the garden entrance. “There is a hallway there, if you would like to make a discreet re-entry?”
“Discreet would be good,” he said, nodding a bit. “Shall I see you at the feast?”
“I will be delighted,” she said, surprised that she was being truthful in that answer.
Though she still had to brave the crowds, at least she knew there was another friendly face.

Some disordered (spoilery) thoughts on the movie
Some things that I liked
Kid Diana racing through the streets, lighting up with excitement as she watches the warriors train. The not-at-all-innocent “hello, Mother” when Hippolyta catches her out (literally).
An active, bustling Amazon society. Amazons going about their days. Amazons sparring together, Amazons taking pleasure in one another’s company.
Diana’s compassion. Her instant willingness to risk her own life in the face of others’ suffering.
“I am willing to fight for those who cannot fight for themselves. Like you once did.” “You know that if you choose to leave us, you can never return.” “Who will I be if I stay?”
Hippolyta’s love and grief and pride. The parting gift of Antiope’s headband -- the iconic tiara.
Diana’s palpable delight in the little things -- The sight of a baby. Snow. Dancing. Celebrating townsfolk. The taste of ice cream.
(The ice cream moment, by the way -- so, so, so much better than the comic book scene it’s derived from, which was actually awful.)
Her refusal to walk past injustices or to sacrifice individuals for the greater good. Steve, the military intelligence man, forces himself to ignore the suffering civilians and focus on the mission, which will ultimately prevent greater suffering. Diana can’t accept that, won’t accept that. No other relief is coming for these people. She steps out into No Man’s Land.
Facing Ares at the last with that simple, powerful conviction: for all the darkness in human hearts, there is also the capacity for great love, and she’ll fight for that every day if she has to.
The use of the BvS quote in the trailer is thoroughly misleading: this isn’t the story of why Diana walked away from mankind. It’s the story of why she continues to fight for humanity, believing in people’s ability to rise above their darker impulses.
Some things that I did not like
DIANA IS A RASH, NAIVE IDIOT.
And yes, this is a young Diana, an untested Diana on her first journey into Man’s World. I realise that. I expect her to screw up, to misjudge things and have her preconceptions challenge. I expect there to be a learning curve.
Even allowing for that, the Diana in this movie is a complete dickhead.
She’s an adult who still believes in fairy tales. She thinks that humans are completely good and pure, and only the corruption of outside forces causes them to do bad things.
Over the course of the movie, she is continually confronted with situations that challenge this view. She meets good people who have done bad things -- people who don’t always have the luxury of standing up for principles, and people who’ve made terrible choices for right reasons. She witnesses and learns of corruption, discrimination and dispossession. Again and again and again.
And she learns nothing from any of this.
Because when she thinks she’s killed Ares (and oh, I’ll get to that bit of stupid), she is shocked -- shocked -- that people don’t immediately lay down their weapons.
And when Steve floats the possibility that maybe, maybe war is just a little more complicated that “the devil made them do it”, she can't fucking deal with it and decides “FUCK Y’ALL, YOU DON’T DESERVE MY HELP. NEVER MIND THE INNOCENT BYSTANDERS I WAS SO WORRIED ABOUT BEFORE, THEY CAN ALL FUCKING BURN. IF HUMANS AREN’T PERFECT CREATURES OF VIRTUE THEN THEY DON’T DESERVE TO LIVE.”
but no I don’t think I’ve adequately explained what an absolute boneheaded twit this woman is.
Her naivety goes beyond the usual fish-out-of-water hijinks. She has no awareness of the people around her. She cannot make intuitive leaps. She doesn’t take on board what she’s told. She has no interest in planning or considering the consequences of her actions, which means that Steve’s constantly trailing one step behind her lecturing her about how she can’t do whatever it is she's about to do.
“OH NO I DON’T NEED A PLAN I’LL JUST RUN INTO THE PARTY AND MURDER A DUDE AND THEN THE WAR WILL MAGICALLY END I SEE NO REASON TO TALK ABOUT THIS FURTHER THERE IS NOTHING THAT COULD POSSIBLY GO WRONG IN THIS EQUATION”
“WHAT DO YOU MEAN WE NEED TO THINK THIS THROUGH. WHY WOULD WE SECURE THE POISON MURDERGAS AND PREVENT IT FROM BEING DEPLOYED AGAINST ANYBODY WHEN WE COULD KILL A GUY ON A HUNCH I HAD INSTEAD. GOD STEVEN IT’S LIKE YOU’RE TRYING TO STOP ME FROM ENDING THE WAR”
She comes to the conclusion that General Ludendusseldorfendorf is Ares in disguise based solely on the fact that he is he one spearheading the German murdergas project, and obviously humans are not capable of doing evil things on their own, and it’s not like there are hundreds of other people involved in the production of these weapons or at least there are but she doesn’t know any of their names so she can probably pre-emptively rule them out and just go murder Ludenhoodendooden.
Sure, it helps that Ludenhorfledorf is an absurd cartoon villain of the sort who is prone to cackling maniacally and shooting his own men at random. Who, when Diana finally comes face-to-face with him, spends most of the conversation talking about the massive hard-on he has for war and slaughter and Ares specifically. But you kinda want to be sure before you jump to the dramatic speechifying and righteous murdering.
Gary Oldman Ares is awful. Everything about the gods is awful. Ares murdering all the gods. Zeus as a loving, self-sacrificing, pseudo-Christian god. Zeus replacing the role of the goddesses in the Amazons’ story. Ares describing himself as the god of truth URGH. The utter bullshit of Ares’ “boooooo humans are assholes, I want them all to die so much so that the world can be decent again” urgh fuck off mate you are such a disappointing villain.
And could anybody else figure out the logic in his ranting? because fuck knows it’s still eluding me. “oooooohhh I have so much faith in humans’ ability to fuck themselves and everybody else over that I’m actually helping to negotiate Armistice! I’m literally doing everything I can to stop the war because I know that in the end it will have no effect and humans will bomb each other into oblivion! and I won’t have had anything to do with their destruction! Sure, I very deliberately put the tools for mass slaughter in the hands of the select few people in this war who had both the desire and the power to use them, thus giving them the ability to overpower the majority who had turned their efforts to peace, and to escalate the conflict against the wishes of their leaders! But really it’s humanity as a whole that is the asshole here!”
Dr Poison is more plot device than character. She has no backstory, no arc and no personality. She’s a generic evil minion whose only pleasure in life comes from devising new ways to murder people with chemicals. She is wasted.
If Etta Candy were a rose by any other name, I might have liked her. I like Lucy Davis as an actress, and though I found the character a bit... overly quirky-loveable-British-comic-relief-girl... it was nice for Diana to have a potential female friend in what was (outside of Themyscira) a very male-dominated cast, and it would have been nice for them to interact more.
My sticking point with the character is that she was supposed to be Etta Candy. Who will always be, in my head, a fierce, fabulous, fearless, ass-kicking Texan lady. Quirky British “we use our principles, although I am not averse to engaging in fisticuffs should the occasion arise” haha jolly good... ain’t gonna cut it for me. Though I acknowledge that this is getting into nitpicking.
Steve annoyed the shit out of me. He is both the brains and the heart of the movie. He is the one who ultimately teaches Diana to love humanity, to fight for them, to be a hero. Diana wants to help end the war, but Steve’s words are what spur her to defy her mother’s forbiddance. She throws herself into the fight against Ares, but Steve’s sacrifice and the love and dedication behind it are what empower her to defeat him. She wants to help from the start, but it’s Steve who teaches her not to fight for people because they “deserve” it, but because it’s the right thing to do. It’s Steve who teaches Diana true compassion.
Throughout the film, Steve is the one trailing after Diana trying in vain to make her see reason. He’s the one making the plans to actually stop Ludendude from committing chemical genocide while Diana is crashing from scene to scene all “OKAY I WILL GO END THE WAR NOW. WHICH WAY IS THE WAR AGAIN?”
Steve is smarter, more understanding, more competent and more compassionate than Diana.
Also, after Diana sees Steve naked he spends the next two or three scenes anxiously assuring her that his dick is, in fact, larger than average.
(Diana knows about sex because she’s read all the books, urgh)
The sword is a misdirect: the weapon Zeus left the Amazons to counter Ares is Diana herself. Kind of cool as a general concept, except that this effectively replaces Diana’s “brought into being by a mother’s love” origin with one in which she is a weapon bequeathed by the Supreme Patriarch. Also, the foreshadowing of this was the exact opposite of subtle, taking some of the power out of the eventual revelation.
This origin also means that Diana is the only child on Themyscira, which adds to this whole... woman-child thing about her that I really don’t like. Because the movie requires her to go from “why are those people holding hands? because they’re together? well, you and I are together, why shouldn’t we hold hands? what do you mean it’s not the same? of course I know about sex I have read lots of books about human biology” to fucking (and, the implication is, losing her virginity to) Steve and... euuugh.
also 140 minutes is a fucking slog, man.
idk there is probably more to say but I feel like I’ve stopped being coherent.

Wonder Woman review (SPOILERS)
SPOILERS FOR THE WONDER WOMAN MOVIE. IF YOU HAVEN’T SEEN IT MOVE ALONG AN IGNORE THIS POST
I got to see Wonder Woman the other day and I loved it. It’s a great movie, definitely a breath of fresh air in superhero movies in general, and a much needed win for the DC cinematic universe.
But since this review I also have to point out what I didn’t like or what I thought it was lacking (as well as what is good).
 The BAD
PACING
The problem is not that is too fast or too slow, the problem is that is too convenient. The most glaring example is how Diana and Steve go from Themyscira (located somewhere in the Mediterranean Sea near the Ottoman empire) to London in one night. Likewise travelling from London to the warzone in Belgium becomes a mere transition.
In this section, I also what to include Diana’s aging. First we see her as a child, then we see her grow into a woman during the training montage, but the we know she won’t age at all. This is somewhat conflicting because you can pinpoint how it works: for how long was Diana a child, and for how long will she remain an adult? The problem here is that her physical growth lacks a context: you can’t know when happens, ten years before the main plot? a century?
CHARACTERS
Dr. Poison, who I think was set to be a very important character in the film but later went underused, favouring Dina’s obsession that Lunderdoff is Ares.
Hyppolita is also something that I must criticize, not because she’s a bad character but her stance regarding Diana’s training kinda flipflops during her screentime. But I’ll admit this could be seen as Hyppolita respecting Diana’s wish to train, but also regretting the decision because she knows what could happen.
Diana herself can be very frustrating, especially because how her idealism and her naivete mix and play into her obsession with Ares. Hopefully the movie corrects this, making her a fare more grounded character(even if maybe a little cynical).
THE AMAZONS ACCENT
This is more a problem with dubbing. In Spain the amazons have a slight South-American accent, which makes no sense given that the amazons are of Greek mythology and the fact that the accent itself is not very consistent with characters displaying it in some scenes but not in others.
 The GOOD
WONDER WOMAN’S INTERNAL CONFLICT
By this I refer to the very moment Diana realizes that the World of Men is not as simple as she had imagined. But the important part is that is not overshadowed by anything. Thake the Man of Steel for example: Superman’s internal conflict (in the shape of the advice his two fathers give him) gets completely swallowed by the sheer collateral damage he causes with his fight with Zod, rendering pointless both paths because by either active or passive, superman is responsible of a lot of destruction.
In comparison Wonder Woman’s conflict becomes her actual confrontation with Ares, with him trying to bring her to his side, and her finding the resolve of staying true to her ideals while also acknowledging the reality that is men’s capacity for evil.
CHARACTERS
This section is divided in two (because is easier for me):
·         Good guys
One of the easiest thing to point out: diversity. And what’s even more important, the move gives them depth, of why they are there, avoiding being simple tokenization. We have racial representation (Sameer and Chief Napi) and also positive representation of the mentally ill (Charlie). Their relationship is also very positive, specially how Diana learns to connect to each of them and to bring the best of them (like how she encourages Charlie to sing, giving value to that skill, when he was very self conscious that his PTSD doesn’t let him contribute as much as he would like). Etta’s character while minor was very enjoyable (and a nice touch to make refence to the suffragette movement), screen time was very reduced but that was good: too much of her would also made her become annoying, and the reduced screen time allows her character to be better used.
Diana herself also deserves recognition, at the beginning of the movie, she is naïve and idealistic, but after Lunderdoff’s death she becomes heartbroken to realize that men are the actual cause of the war and not Ares, yet she clings to her ideals (reinforced by her time with the group and Steve’s words) accepting man’s dual nature.
Steve and Diana’s romantic relationship, even if brief, is not shoehorned and receives development in which both of them are in an equal place of power in the relationship.
·         Villains
Maru and Lunderdoff is very refreshing in the way that is very normal close friendship, even if we are talking about two of the cruellest characters of the movie (I mean gigling togheter like schoolgirls while you killing the German high command?!?!?!). They are loyal to each other without falling in the evil couple stereotype, yet they’re completely independent characters who are whole and can stand on their own.
Moving onto Ares, what makes him so well characterized is that he embodies all aspects of war, direct conflict, the politics behind it and of course the psychological warfare. In the movie he tries to win Diana into his side by playing with his idealism and when that doesn’t work he move into a more physical confrontation (the part where he neutralizes the truth lasso by using the wind also illustrates a good grasp in strategy).
 The OTHER
It’s something that carries from the Batman v Superman and as of now the Justice League trailer, but the fact that this movie also refences a far closer relationship between Wonder Woman and Batman is something I actually excited about. I’m no DC expert but in most media you always hear about Batman and Superman or Superman and wonder Woman, but I’ve hardly seen those two characters together. I’d really love that the developed their relationship (it doesn’t have to be romantic, but if it is you won’t hear me complain about it).
Another think that I liked to point out is how well the movie captured Wonder Woman spirit, and I know people are sceptic of Justice League, fearing that it will be some kind of Suicide quad but with Batman and the rest. That’s why I implore DC to forget about trying to look “realistic” and look into what a makes a character like they are and make a movie around it.

stray observations from Wonder Woman
SPOILERS SPOILERS SPOILERS
under a cut, but if you’re on mobile, you might have to scroll really fast sorry :(
baby Diana!
tween Diana!!
adult Diana!!!
I’ve found my sexuality and it’s every woman on Themyscira
“You are a man” imagine the soulmate AU where Steve Trevor spends his whole life with those words tattooed on his arm and he’s just like …o…kay
Steve is so respectful of Diana! like when doesn’t want to sleep next to her, it’s not an “I must protect your honor” thing, it’s an “I don’t want to assume or make you uncomfortable” thing
just in general the Steve/Diana romance was very sweet and treated them both as equals
“Men are essential for reproduction, but not for pleasure” I’m not saying Diana’s slept with women, but like. Diana’s slept with women.
Chief, played by Eugene Brave Rock, a First Nations actor: “The last war took everything from my people.” “Who took everything from your people?” [points at Steve Trevor] “His people did.”
Sameer, played by Saïd Taghmaoui, a Muslim actor: “I didn’t want to be a soldier. I wanted to be an actor, but I’m not the right color.” (This is roughly the quote; I can’t remember the exact wording.)
Charlie, who has horrible PTSD and nightmares. (Now who’s Diana hanging around with in present-day who also has PTSD and nightmares…)
Ares is played by David Thewlis, a very physically unimposing man and I love it. It reminds me of Lex Luthor, and the ways these movies handle masculinity as it relates to villains
Steve remembering the “shield” thing from the beach
SHE PICKS UP A GODDAMN TANK
nvm I think the trench scene is my sexuality
“If you leave, you may never return” Okay but I still don’t know if this means that she’s not allowed to return, or if Hippolyta was just speaking hypothetically and was worried about Diana dying in Man’s World. can she return or not I need to know
I wouldn’t have minded getting more on Doctor Poison and her backstory. She was so damn creepy every time she was onscreen
I remember back when the tv spot for the sword came out and someone was complaining that they were focusing too much on the sword and how it went against her ideals or something weLL GUESS WHAT
The lasso looked so cool it could’ve easily looked silly but visually it was awesome
Barry Allen better hope he never has to fight Diana, she will fuck his ass up with that lightning
The guy died to further the woman’s character development, hey look at that
If anyone’s wondering about Etta Candy: she does survive the events of the movie
Sameer, Charlie, and Chief also survive to the end (which I’m glad about, it would’ve been annoying if they killed off the non-white supporting characters)
I love that Diana’s helping the world in the future/present by collecting art, like she may not be fighting (as much) but she’s still trying to help humanity by preserving its beauty
I’m like… pretty sure she can fly? At first it seemed like very powerful jumps, but I think in the final battle she figured out how, and at the end when she jumps out that window it looks like she’s posing for flight not preparing to land
Give Diana A Girlfriend In The Sequel

Trinity #4
This cover is perilously close to an upskirt. It would explain Wonder Woman's stance.
I don't think Diana knows how dreams work.
Dreams have a point of view. And as the protagonist of the dream (whether you're you or somebody else), you are in control of your thoughts and actions. They might not be the same actions you would choose while awake, or they may be stranger thoughts than you're used to having but they all come from your point of view as the protagonist of the dream. What you generally aren't "in control of" is the plot or the locale or the non-player characters. A dream doesn't have to be lucid for the person to be in control of their "character." Lucid just means you're aware that you're dreaming and can then take advantage of dream rules while ignoring the props and backdrop your subconscious has laid out before you. I frequently have sexual dreams where the person I'm about to get intimate with is not the Non-Certified Spouse. Sometimes in the dream, I'll be all, "I can't be doing this! I'm Non-Certifiably Married!" and it ruins the dream. Other times, I think, "Oh wait! This is just a dream! Up periscope, baby!" And sometimes, I'll just not know about my real-life relationships and I'll fuck the vampire until the sun reaches the vampire's head and we climax in a burst of flames! Shut up. You have weird sex dreams too! Probably!
For some reason, this reminds me of my first sexual experience.
Superman's Black Mercy dream was to see his father live. Batman's Black Mercy dream was to see his father die. And now Wonder Woman's Black Mercy dream is to find out the truth about her home and where she came from and whether or not the Amazons really did rape pirates. Probably not since Greg Rucka is in charge of the Amazon's past now. That guy isn't as keen on rape as Azzarello and Wolfman. I don't actually think Azzarello is keen on rape. Notice I didn't qualify what I think about Wolfman's views. The Trinity wind up on Themyscira where they're confronted by Amazons.
So it's kind of like some dialect you have heard before? Thanks for the non-information, Batjerk.
Dream Diana saves Real Diana from the Amazons and the Amazons are all, "Fucking kids. You think you're so wise by stopping bloodshed! Pshaw! You'll soon learn!" Then Diana grows up and learns to kill because adults are just tired of dealing with shit. The end. That wasn't the end of the comic book! That was the end of my side story about growing up! This story continues in the real world where Lois Lane didn't not hit Poison Ivy and her son with the truck when she crashed into the barn. Remember how last issue ended and I was all, "It’s just luck that she doesn’t run them over." Well, um....
Grandmaster Comic Book Reader! Sort of. I mean, well, you know. I totally thought this is what should have happened!
So now Poison Ivy is probably crippled for life thanks to Lois's reckless driving through barn walls. I wanted to spell reckless as "wreckless" because that just seems more correct. I hope Lois remembers to get Poison Ivy to a hospital after this. I'm sure she has internal injuries and a possible skull fracture. Jon is fine though because Poison Ivy pushed him out of the way. She's a hero! A hero in a permanently vegetative state. That's a plant pun! I think! Poison Ivy takes a hit from a car as well as I do because she's immediately up and punching Lois Lane in the kisser. I didn't punch the woman who hit me with her car but I did jump immediately back up and stand in front of her car so she didn't take off. Jerko hit-and-run monsters! Portland is full of them. Back on Dream Themyscira, Queen Hippolyta proposes a challenge for the Super Friends. They must prove themselves in the arena! I don't know what they're trying to prove. That they have a right to be on the island? Because if that's what they're trying to prove, Superman and Batman will fail the Penis Challenge. Luckily for Batman and Superman, the Penis Challenge doesn't take place. I suppose it's not needed since their costumes leave nothing to the imagination anyway. My guess is Batman is circumcised and Superman had multiple attempted circumcisions which ended up in the Kents having to bury another mohel in the field so he doesn't spread word about their uncuttable superbaby. Wonder Woman is allowed to stay on the island but the men must go to the Dark Quarters. Hippolyta doesn't even ask them if they're men. She just sees the penises through the tight suits and assumes they're men. How ancient way of thinking of them! Anyway, Wonder Woman chooses to go with her male allies into the Dark Quarters. That's like her dream subconscious where she'll discover the thing she needs to discover thanks to the Black Mercies. Young Dream Diana also manages to go with them, against the wishes of her mother. The Super Friends make their way deeper into their subconscious worlds where they're attacked by something that is longer than it is wide. It's a sea serpent, you Freudian pervert! The Super Friends are swallowed by the sea serpent and taken even deeper! Now they're in the sub-subconscious! It's full of lots and lots of things that are longer than they are wide!
Technically this is Diana's sub-subconscious. Apparently all she thinks about are penises. That's what happens when you're raised in a culture that bans them!
As you can see from the scan above, Batjerk has more thoughts on the dialect. But I guess those will have to wait. Diana spends the next two pages chopping up the longer than they are wide things. I squirm unpleasantly while reading it. When Diana hacks her way out of the sea serpent, she finds herself face-to-face with Mongul! What a shock! To nobody who reads comic books. I suppose it was a shock to the fake geek girls and the totally real geek boys who just happen to not know about Mongul's connection to the Black Mercies (which is totally understandable). The real surprise twist ending is that Mongul's daughter has come up with this plan. His daughter!? Mongul has a daughter! I hope this revelation that Mongul has a daughter is brand new so that I don't look like one of those totally real geek boys who just happens to have a blindspot in my geek knowledge (which is totally forgivable). I suppose Mongul is still in the Phantom Zone so he had to have his daughter's help from the outside. Unless Mongul got out since Warworld got out. I have no idea what is going on anymore! Fucking Rebirth! It's like continuity is whatever anybody wants it to be! As if some naked blue nuclear man were altering reality in whatever way pleases him the most. The Ranking! +1! Mostly because I love me some Emanuela Lupacchino art!

Best RPG Games Android 2019 | Games Indian
Mobile gaming is on the rise since the past few years, and sales of many mobile games are surpassing that of console games. Of these games, a particular genre is gaining ground and is on the road to becoming the most popular genre in mobile gaming. This genre is Role Playing Games or RPGs. Here, the players assume the roles of specific characters in the storyline within the game. There are a plethora of RPGs available for mobile, but we have cherry-picked the best ones for you. Here are our best Role Playing Games (RPG) for Android.
Dungeon Hunter 5 – Action RPG
Rating 4/5
Released in 2015, Dungeon Hunter 5 is hack and slash RPG developed by Gameloft. It is a direct sequel to Dungeon Hunter 4 and shares some similarities with it. However, there are many notable differences such as DH 5 is not an open-world nor exploration and no co-op mode. There is a significant improvement in the loot system, and a new fusion feature is added where players can fuse certain items with others. Fans have appreciated the better graphics, but many of them have reported issues with bugs, and many others are disappointed by the removal of co-op mode.

Comic Book TV season opening reviews
Had a good summer? I didn't. I mean, I still had to work and all. Summers mean less post-30. Except for OzCon. That was awesome. I'm not going to be doing these blogs weekly like last year. Instead, I'll write reviews when I wish. Most likely if there's anything I want to say in the midseason finale. I'll certainly be reviewing more than one episode of The Flash this year over at my new blog, Dibny Diaries. The Defenders - The culmination of the Netflix and Marvel shows sees Luke Cage, Jessica Jones, Matt Murdock and Danny Rand unite to defend New York City from the machinations of The Hand. The eight-episode format nearly makes this one of the better Netflix and Marvel shows, except for the sheer number of characters included. Not only do we have the four main characters, but their supporting casts also showing up and getting involved, and while this is done well, it can be a bit much on first time viewing. The plot is not the same high-stakes adventure that we saw in The Avengers, the first live action Marvel team up property. A good reason for this is right in the titles: The Defenders. Defense is preventative, while avenging means something bad has already happened. When viewed that way, the series is more satisfying. DuckTales - Disney XD revives the classic 80s show for the 21st century with a new voice cast (except for Donald Duck, who is still voiced by Tony Anselmo), a new look, and a brand new continuity. The original DuckTales was inspired by the comic book stories of Carl Barks, and while the new version is still proud of the original series, it takes a lot of inspiration from the Barks comics. The double-length season/series opener features Donald Duck leaving his nephews Huey, Dewey and Louie with his Uncle Scrooge McDuck while he has a job interview. Meeting Webby Vanderquack—granddaughter of Mrs. Beakley, Scrooge's housekeeper—the boys get into trouble with Scrooge's treasures, which Scrooge helps them set right, reawakening his sense of adventure. After an adventure in Atlantis, Scrooge invites Donald and the boys to move in with him. The new series so far has introduced many elements of DuckTales lore around fun and exciting plots that are written so well that adults without kids should enjoy it as well. As of the fifth episode aired, we have Flintheart Glomgold, the Number One Dime, the Beagle Boys, Gyro Gearloose and his helper robot, and Magica DeSpell. New to the series is a running plot addressing what happened to the mother of Huey, Dewey and Louie, Della Duck. Fans of fun adventure of all ages should find quite a bit to like about this new DuckTales, so I recommend it. Inhumans - Marvel's third show for ABC was a collaboration between them and IMAX theaters, who ran an edited down version of the first two episodes in theaters for a couple weeks in early September. Now the first five episodes have finished airing. Running into a coup on the moon by his brother Maximus, Black Bolt and the other members of the royal family are forced to flee the city of Atillan to Hawaii, where they must reunite before returning to take back the throne from Maximus. The royal Inhumans can be compelling characters, but their in-character snobbery can make them off-putting. In the comics, the royal family was introduced in the pages of Fantastic Four, allowing a familiar and likeable team to be the conduit to meeting these characters. Inhumans doesn't have this luxury, with the Agents of SHIELD no longer on Earth and no other teams at the TV department's disposal. The series attempts to find ways to make them appealing, but considering this show is only going to have eight episodes and we've finished three and have only five left, this might be asking a lot from the audience to stick with it. Inhumans was originally announced to be a film before it was quietly pushed back indefinitely. This series was announced, and the television budget, despite being high thanks to funding from IMAX, begins to show, particularly on Atillan. Nowhere does it feel majestic or imposing. Lockjaw, the giant telepathic teleporting bulldog looks great, but the budget means we only get a few scenes with him. Inhumans seems doomed to get only one season at the moment. Aside from Lockjaw, there's not a lot that I'm excited about for it. The "give it a few episodes" advice doesn't help when we're looking at a small number of episodes. If you wanted the royal Inhumans in live action, check it out. Otherwise, take it as you will. The Gifted - The Strucker family discovers that their children are mutants. In a world where the X-Men and the Brotherhood of Mutants have vanished, the only chance they have is to join with a desperate band of on the run mutants. The pilot sets up a lot and while fine, doesn't quite have enough time to make us totally get into the multiple protagonists. Thankfully, the second and third episodes gives us more of an idea where the showis going and gives us a much better idea of this world. Perhaps this isn't going to be quite as well crafted as Legion, but this seems to be a worthy X-Men TV series so far. Gotham - This season finds young Bruce Wayne beginning to master the double life of playboy socialite and vigilante he will become famous for in his years as Batman as the villains continue to rise. Gotham finally feels on track as "the Batman show without Batman" finally has Batman. Lucifer - Discovering that his wings have come back, Lucifer tries to remove them permanently while continuing to assist (loosely) with detective Chloe Decker's investigations. Tom Welling joins the cast as Lieutenant Marcus Pierce, who seems to be hiding a few things. Supergirl - While Kara misses Mon-El, life continues in National City, for her, Lena Luthor who has bought Cat Co., and Alex and Maggie who are getting married. Reports are that this season will introduce this generation of superhero TV's Legion of Super-Heroes. The Flash - Cisco manages to break Barry out of the Speed Force, revealing him to now be faster than ever before. Caitlin—hiding her Killer Frost identity—rejoins Team Flash as Cisco and Gypsy work on their relationship, as do Barry and Iris as they prepare to get married. Meanwhile, a new villain—the Thinker—watches the pieces of his plot come into place. Legends of Tomorrow - Finding various anomalies through time, the Legends have the Waverider taken from them by Rip Hunter's new time correction force. After getting it back from him, they convince him that they can help him correct anomalies through time. Meanwhile, a mysterious threat rises. Arrow - With Thea in a coma and Oliver now having to care for his son, things take a turn as a photo revealing Oliver as the Green Arrow is exposed to public, putting him under the eye of the FBI. Riverdale - As Archie's dad recovers from being shot at Pop's, the killer begins to target other people in Archie's life. That's what we've been able to tell from the shows so far. Frankly, I'm enjoying this season. Even Inhumans, though I'd say it's quite the weakest show. Here's some quick reviews of comic book movies that came out since the last blog. Wonder Woman - The first truly impressive DCEU movie features the story of Wonder Woman as depicted by Gal Gadot as Steve Trevor (Chris Pine) arrives on the island of Themyscira and tells the Amazons about World War I. Diana returns with him to find and defeat Ares, the God of War. Wonder Woman finally gives the DCEU an inspirational hero. Henry Cavill's Superman and Ben Affleck's Batman are promising, but their outings so far have rendered them as flawed without really having a victory without a major downside. In Man of Steel, while saving the world, about half of Metropolis is destroyed. In Batman v Superman, Batman makes the wrong judgement call and Superman is killed. Diana sets out to destroy Ares and even though she makes mistakes, she learns and emerges victorious. And it's done with a very good pace and amazing visuals. And furthermore, the message the movie makes is pretty welcome. Spider-Man: Homecoming - The first MCU Spider-Man solo film embraces the high school setting of Peter Parker's (Tom Holland) early years in his career as Spider-Man, being secretly assisted/monitored by Tony Stark (Robert Downey Jr.) and Happy Hogan (Jon Favreau). Peter comes across the weapons-running gang of the Vulture (Michael Keaton). Tony and Happy tell him to let someone else handle it, but Peter wants to prove himself. Just he needs to do that and balance his school life, especially if he wants to impress Liz (Laura Harrier). Homecoming is a lot of fun, but also uses some good intrigue to the proceedings with a worthy plot twist. The film clearly links to the larger MCU, but manages to create a world specifically for Spider-Man to exist in on the streets and neighborhoods of Queens. Giving Spider-Man a benefactor and a confidant (who is not a romantic interest) gives us something new that we haven't seen in any of the five previous Spider-Man films from the past twenty years. For once, Spider-Man feels like a young kid. He screws up, but he gets up and tries again. That's really what the character is about and Homecoming nails it. Batman and Harley Quinn - One of this year's DC animated movies finds Batman (Kevin Conroy) and Nightwing (Loren Lester) teaming up with a reformed Harley Quinn (Melissa Rauch) to foil the plots of Poison Ivy (Padget Brewster) and the Floronic Man (Kevin Michael Richardson). It goes for a bit more of a comedic take on Batman mythos while not betraying the characterizations. Some of the humor is a bit more raunchy, including a scene where Nightwing and Harley have sex. Overall, I had fun, but some fans have expressed displeasure. Batman vs. Two-Face - The follow up to The Return of the Caped Crusaders finds Harvey Dent (William Shatner) entering the world of the Batman 1966 TV show. After an attempt to drain Gotham's worst of their evil goes awry, Harvey is transformed into the villainous Two-Face, with Batman (Adam West) and Robin (Burt Ward) going after him. Both Julie Newmar and Lee Meriweather do voice work for the movie as well. Although still campy, the film feels a bit more serious than the old TV show, but it's all right as the audience for the show has changed and is more open to it. It has a good story, fairly good animation (it's still direct to video), and a spectacular voice cast. http://dlvr.it/Pwxkyj

Lexi crashed on to Themyscira after opening a portal to the welcoming island. She was out of breath after running from the GIW. Being so close to Danny and the other ghosts in the realms has started to alter her DNA enough for the GIW to mark her as a ghost. She laid on the soft sand fighting to stay conscience. She looked up spotting a small group headed her way. "....Diana..." She whispered before passing out.
Danny's eyes went wide as he spotted Lexi on the beach. "Lexi! What happened to you?!" he yelled as he ran up to her with Diana and Ellie right behind him. Ellie teared up seeing some of the markings. "Danny....I-I can see the scars...." She said as she saw scars from dissections. Diana gently lifted Lexi up being careful of her wounds. "Lets get her to the infirmary and quickly. My mother will know how to help. How could the others allow this to happen to a fellow member?" She said in rage as the trio quickly headed to the infirmary hoping they weren't late.
After what felt like days, Lexi started to wake up feeling the presence of four beings near her. Two were curled by her side making sure she was okay while the other two stood close making sure they were their for all of them. She started to open her eyes going as slow as possible feeling the light enter the room. She looked over to her side seeing Ellie and Danny curled beside her. "....D-Danny.....E-ellie...I thought I lost you two.." She teared up as she placed an arm around each of them. Danny looked up seeing Lexi awake and carefully hugged her wanting to make sure he didn't hurt her. "Lexi! I'm so sorry I didn't tell you. We had to ditch the phones worried about the government tracking us before we got here. I'm sorry we didn't send word out sooner."
************************************************************************
I wanted to leave it here. I may edit it more when I know exactly what I'm doing.
