I’m really glad that Aaron’s self-immolation for Palestine is getting attention, but on November 8th there was also a Congolese man who did the same thing for the genocide happening in the DRC. From what I read in the article above, his fate and identity are unknown but I think his story should be getting equal amount of traction and I haven’t really seen anyone talking about it on Tumblr specifically yet.

sometimes i think about how funny it would be if bruce had a slight english accent as a result of alfred being the only adult in his life for most of his formative years. that or he just says british slang instead of english.

the progression for them accepting these touches is crazyyyyyy when you think about it.

in fire, he's pushing scully away. in little green men, she's touching his arm & his head. he then starts accepting all her "head trauma" checks. even in rain king when he knows he's fine. but her fussing with his tie in bad blood is too much.

in beyond the sea, she scoffs at being called dana but lets him cup her face. after returning from her abduction, she lets him cup her face, doesn't seem confused or uncomfortable by it. in irresistible, she fights to be strong but when he lifts her chin, she stops fighting & clings to him. the memento mori (and throughout her cancer), she basks in his comfort, gains strength from it. but vacillates between "i'm fine" and clinging. in the revival, she openly asks for comfort & care and accepts his gentleness (except in her determination to work after maggie dies).

the funny thing about mulder and scully is that they both equally do not like being fussed over. when scully is sick she will swat away mulder’s attempts to feel her forehead for a fever and when mulder is injured he ducks out of scully’s grasp when she tries to check him for a concussion.

however, both mulder and scully are so free with their care and affection for the other (as evidenced by every time one of them is hurt or in danger); they’re just unable to accept it for themselves at first 😭😭 though after quite a few insistent “just let me take care of you” moments, they get better at quietly accepting the other’s tenderness.
