From below deck, came a sound reminiscent of something heavy striking metal. It was a hollow sound, and one that echoed throughout the ship, loud enough to bring a sudden silence. Ren felt the weave around her turn cold as it swept by her on its way to answer the will that called it. Another hollow boom rang through the ship, its echo highlighting the sudden and tense silence as everyone became very still.

“I will not threaten a third time Captain, you can choose to allow yourselves to succumb to your savagery, or you can save the lives of your crew.”

Istorvir didn’t need to shout to be heard, every eye was riveted on him as he strolled closer to Sabal’s bent figure. “Some of your people are already down there, we had to stow them away while we wore their forms.”

Atheism has been used as justification by some individuals throughout history for committing heinous acts. They engage in these acts because they felt they could do so with impunity. Of course! Why not? If there is no higher power watching or judging their actions or holding them accountable for their choices in this life or beyond it, it makes perfect sense. Thankfully, this is not a necessary component of atheism and most do not live according to their beliefs, but it is founded of their amoral philosophic starting point.

For the last five years retail crime in America has been rising.  Now we're seeing crime such as flash mobs and smash-and-grab offences happening in growing numbers.  This usually involves well organized gangs of teenagers that coordinate their sometimes violent retail thefts smashing store windows and displays in order to steal merchandise.  While there are a number of reasons for this crime, it has raised the public's awareness on crime, policing, and how the judicial system has failed so many people.  My new report entitled "U.S. Retail Crime, Flash Mobs, And Smash-And-Grab Offences Increasing."

Another thing i do appreciate about episode 17 is that it really hammers home how much the chimera is not Falin, not as we know her. Like even I get into the wishful thinking and love the idea of chimera Falin kidnapping Marcille for romantic reasons but that's simply not a possibility. It's not Falin. It's Falin being absorbed and used as a tool by the Red Dragon. The animation makes it so much more clear that the chimera is actively manipulating Laios in that one moment.

Horrifying. Like yeah she's hot but that episode really made it sink in for me that like... chimera Falin recognizes Marcille. She recognizes Laios. She just doesn't care. She'd kill them with a smile on Falin's face.
