I am originally from Paldea, where I caught all of my Pokemon. Tatsugiri was the very first one I caught. I was adventuring around Casseroya Lake and happened upon a swarm of Tatsugiri that just loved the ride Pokemon I had borrowed (an Avalugg.) They all began climbing on its back with me, and I couldn't say no. I gave them a ride around the lake as they whooped and cheered with their adorable little cries. When I dropped them off, I thought that would be it.
However, when I returned home, I found a sleeping droopy form hiding away in my coat pocket. I had never owned a Pokemon before, but I thought he would make a great partner! Once he woke up, I tentitively asked if he would join my team, and I caught him in a luxury ball when he agreed.
He is a very brave little guy. He'll always be ready to fight opponents way bigger than him (and often times he'll win!). He's not very smart sometimes, but he makes up for it by being strong and adorable.
It excites me to hear from another trainer with a Tatsugiri as their ace! I saw on your profile that you have many Tatsugiri. I can say it was very hard not to catch all the sweethearts that followed me around as I adventurered Casseroya Lake.
I spent a lot of time around that lake, which is where I caught the other two members of my work team, Goodra and Altaria! On a trip to Kalos, I also obtained a mega stone for Altaria so she could mega evolve.

OOC: I finally can refer myself as an ACE certified personal trainer! The exam was extremely difficult (one of my coaches told me 50% of people who take the exam fail the first time), but I somehow managed to pass it. Working out in a HITT setting really helped me out, with implementing programs and knowing your shit when it comes to cardiorespiratory and muscular training, but all the specifics and terminologies really made it challenging and confusing. What matters the most is that now I AM certified, and with the studying done and over (for now - unless I decide to go into more specifics and become a specialist), hopefully I will have more time to be on here and write.
