I got an ask urging me to take down a reblog of another Jew’s fundraiser for a wheelchair because she’s a “known Zionist”, and I want to be very clear about something: mobility is a human right. There is very little you could say to me, short of “this is a known scam, here’s the evidence” that would make me take down my reblog of a fundraiser for a mobility aid. In addition, going through the reblogs of a fundraiser and contacting people because you think the person they’re trying to help is Bad is frankly fucking unhinged behaviour. The good news is that apparently she got the money for the wheelchair, so it turned out ok despite these assholes. But fucking hell, leftists on tumblr be normal about Jews and disabled people 2024 challenge.

hey I just need to say something important:
don't use the word delusional or delulu when reblogging my posts, delusions are a mental health issue, not someone spreading misinformation due to hatered.
calling people like whenmagicfilledtheair delusional is ableist, they're not delusional, they're very well aware of what they're doing.
#jumblr#ableism#I was never personally affected by delusions I'm just on the neurodivergent/mentally ill side of tumblr a lot

Antisemitism and ableism are alive and well on the Twitter side of the Oppenheimer fandom.
#When i called them out on it they doubled down.#Along with fetishizing and degrading Jewish physicists these users also regularly post pro-H*mas tweets and make fun of Oct. 7 victims.#antisemitism#antisemitism tw#ableism#ableism tw#jumblr

hi jumblr, I'm looking for good resources on intersectionality in the conext of pro-Palestine and pro-peace spaces, specifically on being inclusive of Jewish activists and avoiding antisemitism and antisemitic dogwhistles.
I've found some promising stuff, but also a frustrating amount of things framed as "protecting yourself from accusations of antisemitism" that don't have any examples of actual antisemitism for activists and teachers to educate about and avoid.
#posts I created#jumblr#antisemitism#i/p and adjacent topics#I'm fine with pro-Jewish Zionist resources#as long as they oppose the actions of Netanyahu etc#obv not interested in right-wing Christian Evangelical 'Zionist' BS 🙄#it reminds me of looking for disability-friendly resources#and finding stuff that's like 'how to avoid being called ableist'#without mentioning what actual ableism looks like 🙄#how about 'how to avoid *being* ableist'? etc

Transphobes aren't the first to come up with any bigoted stereotype on the books, they're just the first to use them on trans people. You're not special for headcannoning all trans women and violent uncivilized perverts who are a danger to "real" women, that's a stereotype people have had about Black and brown women and for lesbians for a long time. The idea that trans people are hiding in plain sight trying to seduce or corrupt society, just reskinned antisemitism. The way that nonbinary people are seen as somehow both privileged people going through a rebellious phase that can be dismissed as a serious marginalized identity, and paradoxically a horrifying corruption of a once normal person whose been turned into something unnatural and inhuman, is exactly the same contradictory bigotry that atheists, pagans, and witches (and any marginalized religion that has a lot of converts from Christianity) experience. The way that trans men are seen as weak and unmanly, as well as being seen as both perverts and sexless, is a stereotype taken directly from antisemitism and racism against East Asian men (down to short skinny body types being seen as inferior). Likewise, the way that trans women are seen as hyperfeminine and hypersexual in a submissive, and seen as having a femininity that appeals to men, as contrasted with "liberated" women whose femininity comes from community with other women, is directly lifted from ideas the west has about women from any culture they consider eastern, from Russia to Japan (also note that this specific stereotype is a way that trans lesbians marginalize straight trans women from their communities as much as it is a stereotype cis women use to marginalize trans women). The idea that trans bodies are broken and lesser for their interactions with the medical system are taken from stereotypes about physically disabled people. And the idea that transmascs are confused and childlike and that giving them freedom will actually endanger them is the exact same bigoted narrative society has about neurodivergent people.
Nothing is new. Transphobia cannot be separated from racism, Christian supremacy, antisemitism and ablism. It's all part of one right wing slop. The trans experience is not alien to the experiences of cis people, we are all marginalized by the same capitalist system.

Boycott!
People who say "You're not a real activist if you only use the Internet" piss me off because they clearly show that they are ablietic shit
People with ASD, social phobia, agoraphobia etc… They exist, will you finally fucking come to terms with the fact that there are people who don't take part in strikes for logical fucking reasons and that's why they use the Internet?
If your activism consists in attacking activists who cannot physically take part in fundraisers, then you have shit to say that you are fighting for equality and those discriminated against when you fucking show ableism towards different groups
Now that I have your attention:
---------------------------------
People like this just piss me off because their ego is fucking huge and they show their Ableism and people are silent about it…

fascist retard
0.1/10.
No points for originality as I've already been called a retard and a fascist, okay maybe like 0.1 of a point for combining the two.
0 points for not even hurting my feelings a tiny bit. Like at least try to hurt my feelings.

These Nazi chucklefucks snooping my bio to call me an insane person, tell me to take my meds, and that I'm a liar LOL. And we were all shocked that literal Nazis -- cheering "gas the Jews" and posting their "social justice activism" of regurgitating actual IRGC propaganda and supporting the genocidal Houthis -- are also ableist 🙄😂
and then they have the GALL to ask why I won't have a detailed and nuanced conversation (read: why won't u just agree with me that Israel should be destroyed 😳😳😳) about fucking Israel and Palestine.
Bro can't even admit that Hezbollah killing the equivalent amount of Israeli civilians is wrong yet scree "ur deflecting" when I bring it up in response to the pager attack after ranting about Nelson Mandela, South Africa, the Lebanese civil war and Palestinians.
Plzzzz, snoop my bio harder and take personal things I've shared and use them to try and cause me pain and suffering while wondering why I won't "respond to ur questions about Palestine." dude really said "ur bio reads like fanfiction" because I said "I'm a survivor of human trafficking" LMAO. Yeah man that single sentence is so unbelievable!!!
most hinged terrorist supporter. Honestly these idiots truly cannot understand it, I constantly get people barfing and screaming about how I'm ACAB EXCEPT FOR ISRAEEELLLL and how could I possibly be an ANARCHISTTTT if I support Jewish safety and indigenous rights like they don't comprehend that having a homeland and self determining there is separate from having a state.
Then goes omg what do u think about Israel supporting south Africa as if it is some kinda magical gotcha that will prove I'm a hypocrite. Fun fact, what the Israeli government does is actually irrelevant to my belief in Jewish safety! I bring up these equivalent circumstances not to justify Israeli actions but to PROVE that for you people, for you Nazis, you actually don't give a shit about what the IDF does. You don't care.
Because if you really cared about ethnic cleansing, genocide, terrorism, colonialism, apartheid, etc. Then you would oppose those things when they happen to Jews. You wouldn't post Tik Toks saying that the Houthis (who perpetrated a genocide) are based or waiting for khomeini (who colonized Iran) to destroy Israel. You wouldn't post support for the PPC claiming the uyghers aren't going through the stages of genocide lol.
So no, I don't have any intention of talking to you about how I oppose Israel's actions. Because you have proven that you would simply use this as justification to kill Jews. When you support Hamas, an organization who has vowed to annihilate every single Jew around the globe and to expel them from their homeland, you lose the right to fucking nuance from ME, bro.
And you Especially lose it after making fun of me personally, mocking me, and accusing me of writing "fanfiction" like a single sentence qualifies. You fucking moron.

I know we are all disappointed in Internet Activism™️ right now. But always please remember that some people don’t have the money or bodies or psychological soundness that would allow them to participate in a March or donate or do other forms of activism.
Discounting that meaningful work can be done through an online presence is ableist. It’s a matter of how online activists engage and how thoughtful they are in reaching out outside their bubble and providing valuable resources and how committed they are to meeting people where they are, rather than shouting at people/shaming people for not having the “correct” beliefs yet.
If, for instance, a nonverbal autistic person can express themselves best online but can’t handle crowds or loud noises and does not have a job or financial independence, participation in online discourse may be their only available method of contribution to a cause.
That is completely valid and only one of millions of possible equally valid scenarios. People doing activism irresponsibly on the internet does not negate the good work that IS possible and that I have personally seen be effective.

Growing up autistic within Chabad is never achieving a rank higher than Sergeant because you could never fill your Mivzoim quota because you were too anxious to approach strangers, and missing out on privileges your higher ranked classmates were rewarded with.

Today is 'Random Acts of Kindness Day'.
It also marks the beginning of Repro Shabbat, an event organized by the National Council of Jewish Women to highlight the importance of access to reproductive healthcare. It is a reminder that the conversation about our rights extends beyond the fallout of Roe v Wade being overturned. It is a reminder to keep up the fight.
It is still difficult for women to receive a correct diagnosis for life-threatening illnesses, especially those which may impact a woman's health during pregnancy. There are still women who are unable to access appropriate reproductive healthcare. There are disabled and chronically ill pregnant women whose lives are in jeopardy. All because of the Republicans' total disregard for our rights and our autonomy.
These actions also have a ripple effect across the Jewish community. They strip away a God-given right. They disregard Jewish law.
With antisemitism on the rise, it is going to be even harder for Jewish women to not only receive the care they need, but also to simply stay alive.
In 2014, Rabbis David Saperstein and Marla Feldman wrote:
"...women are moral decision-makers in their own right entitled to make fundamental medical and reproductive choices. A woman should make a decision about whether to have an abortion according to her own beliefs and in consultation with her clergy, her family, and her doctor; politicians and ideologues should not make the decision for her."
This is as true today as it was then.
Know where your local elected officials stand. Know where your friends and loved ones stand. Do not give up the fight.
סולידריות היא מעשה של חסד. להציל חיים זו מצווה.

Some of y’all are way too fucking comfortable calling your enemies slurs and reblogging posts where other people use slurs.
Anyway if you think that calling people the r-slur is okay get the fuck out.
#If I knew you in real life I’d bash you with my metal water bottle#And surprise surprise the people comfortable using these slurs are also openly bigoted in other ways#jumblr#Ableism#My Post
