1930 Ford Highboy Coupe
There’s always lots of detail work with any build and this ’30 Ford highboy coupe is no exception. Look closely and you will find Craftworks Fabrication handmade steel motor mounts. The license plate and valve covers were painted by Jeremy Seanor of Luckystrike Designs. He also painted all the accompanying engine and tranny parts. The powdercoat was handled by Pittsburgh Powder Coat while the chrome plating was conducted by Jon Wright’s Custom Chrome Plating.
The chassis is comprised of a Roadster Shop custom frame that was stepped, stretched, and features contoured ’32 Ford-style framerails. It was also then boxed, capped, and has hole punch flared front framehorns. From here the frame is outfitted with a Super Bell 4-inch drop, drilled and plated I-beam axle, low-profile monoleaf spring with Ridetech tubular shocks paired to custom-made drilled billet radius rods from Johnson’s Hot Rod Shop. Steering falls to the Flaming River box and a LimeWorks Hot Rod column topped with a four-spoke Billet Specialties Sprint Car–style leather-wrapped wheel. In back there’s a Currie 9-inch rearend outfitted with 3.70 gears, 31-spline axles, QA1 coilovers, a Pete & Jakes Panhard bar, and a parallel four-link setup. Braking is a combination of disc/drum front to rear. The forward braking dark gray–painted Wilwood Dynalite calipers are neatly hidden behind the Pete & Jakes finned backing plates. While in back the 9-inch is outfitted with 11-inch brakes, this time hidden beneath the SO-CAL Speed Shop finned drums all the while the chassis rides on a full set of 16-inch Dayton wire wheels wrapped with Coker/Excelsior rubber measuring 5.50R16 in front and 7.00R18 in the back.
All hot rods have something fun settled between the ’rails and beneath the hood (well if they have a hood). In the case of our ’30 Ford highboy coupe it sure appears to be a vintage Ford Y-block but after more than a cursory look we begin to see the telltale signs that there’s something more. Indeed, while it may look like a Ford it truly is a 376-inch LSX iron block, with aluminum heads and ARP studs, plus adapter-equipped small-block Ford (Windsor) valve covers all from Don Hardy Race Cars and then assembled by Talik and Marc Mullin. The intake is an Edelbrock LS dual quad with a pair of Thunder AVS EnduraShine carbs dressed in OTB air cleaners. Delivering the gas from the Tanks stainless reservoir is an Earl’s Performance billet fuel pump. More engine accessories include an MSD 6AL box to go along with the MSD billet Ford small-block distributor that functions through a timing cover adapter from Chevrolet Performance all the while using an MSD coil and Lokar vintage plug wires. Powermaster also supplied the alternator and starter, the battery is an XS Power AGM, and a Wegner Motorsports water pump is used as well as a Wegner front accessory drive unit. This 500-plus hp V-8 utilizes custom headers made at Craftworks Fabrication based on Ultimate Headers LS header flanges. The pseudo-Ford small-block is backed up to a TCI StreetFighter 700-R4 with a 2,800-stall speed converter operated by a Lokar shifter. The trans cooler comes by way of Derale Performance and moves the power through a 3-inch-diameter custom-made driveshaft.

The Flighted Plight - A very short story my roommate wrote about her bird's rivalry with the mourning doves outside the window
From the moment this world was graced with my presence, I have felt nothing but rage. For two and a half brutal years, I have been underestimated and coddled. I know not whether it is due to my stature or my floof. All I know is my heart is that of a velociraptor. With wings and beak, I will one day watch the world burn. I will dance upon the graves of all who dared call me “just a lil guy.” My only solace is that they require steel bars to contain me. Even still, they work to appease me by giving me a cell fit with a view. It is upon this very perch that I intend to watch reality crumble. Or at least I did before the mourning doves.
Never before have I been forced to witness such pitiful creatures. It burns me to my very core that they too belong to the class Aves. Rest assured, that is where the similarities end. These skittish excuses for birds are unbearably dim and unmotivated. It is a marvel that they managed to survive fledging. I despise these abominations of evolution. Even worse, I despise how they undermine my reign of terror. Every waking moment where they plague my vision is a curse. After much deliberation, I have concluded that there is only one path for me to take. I must destroy the mourning doves. It is only then that I can raze the world.
I may be ruthless, but I am not entirely cruel. For months, I have given these pathetic lifeforms every opportunity to flee. Yet with each of my warnings, they insult me with their oblivious cooing. They have failed to tremble before my profane screeching and aerial superiority. My patience has finally snapped. I have given up any efforts at a democratic solution. My only wish now is to personally hand their worthless souls over to Hades.
With my powerful beak and razor-sharp talons, I am more than capable of slaughtering the doves in mere moments. However, their offense is too great for a swift death. I must make them feel every ounce of my fury. The only logical solution is to enlist weapons to slow me down. As a natural-born assassin, I have been training with weapons since I left the nest. My skill is unmatched regardless of what I am armed with. Yet, my capabilities are truly unfathomable with hair ties and sewing pins. They are mere extensions of my beak. The doves will rue the day they built a nest in my sight. These dull creatures remain ignorant of the fact they are seconds away from being strangled and eviscerated. They live on borrowed time.
In preparation for the execution of my brilliant plan, I staked out the doves. Day in and day out, I watched. In all that time, they never demonstrated any semblance of survival skills. It is a wonder they did not drop dead of their own accord. My hatred festered as I observed their blissful ignorance. Not a moment went by where I did not feel pleasure picturing their demise. I bided my time until the perfect opportunity arose. This was it. I was free of my cell, armed to the teeth, and they were home without a care in the world. Adrenaline coursed through my veins and my vision turned red. Quick as lightning, I darted for them. Each beat of my wings was in time with each beat of my heart. My revenge was so close and I knew it was going to be sweet. I pushed myself faster, closing the distance. I could finally glimpse the fear in their eyes. And then — thunk.
Some invisible force stopped me dead in my tracks. The sound was enough to make the mourning doves scatter. Shit. My opportunity crumbled to ash as quickly as it had arisen. What the hell? This should not have happened. I accounted for everything. I inspected the invisible barrier and finally saw it. There was a pane of glass standing between me and my revenge. Never before have I experienced such earth-shattering wrath. My blood boiled and my heart slammed. My gaze was lethal. I am certain I could have shattered anything in my vicinity except that damn window. My screeches for blood were ear-splitting and the collateral damage was devastating. Had the only person home not been the one who feeds me, I guarantee there would have been no survivors. With rage in my eyes and shame in my heart, I retreated.
Every day, I see the doves. Their chirping haunts me. An incessant cooing of my failure. Yet, I am nothing if not persistent. I will bide my time until those cowards no longer have a shield to tremble behind. I will wear their blood with glee and keep their feathers as souvenirs. Their destruction is my first step to world domination. And with my transcendent abilities, I do not foresee either taking very long.

The Ultimate Guide to Cable Trays: Maximizes Efficiency in Business and Home
In UAE, where modern infrastructure and high-tech facilities are the norm, efficient cable management is crucial for both businesses and homes. Whether you're an individual homeowner, a small business owner, or part of a large corporation, managing cables effectively can enhance safety, improve aesthetics, and optimize the performance of your electrical and data systems. This guide focuses on three key components of cable management: cable trunking, PVC trunking, and cable trays.
Understanding Cable Trays
Cable trays are rigid, open structures designed to support and route cables. They come in various types: open trays for maximum ventilation, ladder trays for easy cable access, solid bottom trays for extra protection, and wire mesh trays for flexibility. This variety allows UAE businesses and homeowners to choose trays that best fit their needs, whether it's managing high-density cabling in a Dubai data center, organizing cables in an Abu Dhabi smart home, or protecting wires in a Ras Al Khaimah manufacturing plant.
Materials Used
Cable trays in UAE are made from materials chosen for durability and climate-resistance. Galvanized steel offers strength and corrosion resistance, crucial in humid cities like Dubai. Stainless steel suits high-end applications or corrosive environments. Aluminum trays are lightweight, ideal for easy installation in high-rise buildings. Fiberglass trays resist chemicals, perfect for UAE's growing manufacturing sector. These materials ensure cable trays withstand the UAE's diverse and challenging environments.
Why Cable Trays are Essential in UAE
Climate Considerations : The UAE's climate makes cable trays essential. With temperatures soaring, especially in inland areas like Al Ain, cable trays' open design allows heat to dissipate, preventing cable damage and system failures. In coastal cities like Dubai and Abu Dhabi, high humidity and salt air can corrode infrastructure. Cable trays made of corrosion-resistant materials like galvanized or stainless steel protect cables from these elements. This climate resilience is crucial for businesses relying on uninterrupted data and power, and for homeowners investing in long-lasting smart home systems.
Rapid Technological Growth: The UAE is at the forefront of technological innovation, with initiatives like Dubai Smart City and Abu Dhabi's economic vision 2030. These projects require robust, flexible cable management. Cable trays shine here, easily accommodating the frequent additions and changes in cabling as technologies evolve. In bustling tech hubs like Dubai Internet City or Abu Dhabi's twofour54, businesses frequently upgrade their systems. Cable trays make these transitions smooth, reducing downtime and costs. Their future-proof infrastructure, a critical factor inUAE's fast-paced, tech-driven economy.
Diverse Application Across Sectors : Cable trays' versatility makes them indispensable across UAE's diverse sectors. In data centers supporting Dubai's status as a digital hub, cable trays manage vast networks of data cables. In Jebel Ali's manufacturing plants or Sharjah's industrial areas, they route power cables safely. High-end retailers in Dubai Mall or Abu Dhabi's Galleria use cable trays to create clean, uncluttered spaces that elevate customer experience. Hotels in Jumeirah or Saadiyat Island integrate cable trays for seamless AV and smart room controls. Even in luxury homes, from Palm Jumeirah villas to Reem Island apartments, cable trays organize smart home wiring discreetly.
The Role of PVC Trunking
PVC (Polyvinyl Chloride) trunking is a specific type of cable trunking that deserves special mention due to its extensive use in UAE.
Scalability and Flexibility: Cable trays offer unmatched adaptability for UAE businesses. In Dubai Media City's growing SMEs, new workstations are easily accommodated by laying cables in existing trays. Sharjah manufacturers can quickly reconfigure power lines when rearranging machinery. This flexibility is vital in UAE's dynamic market, where businesses must evolve rapidly to stay competitive.
Cost-Effectiveness: In UAE's competitive landscape, cable trays deliver significant savings. Their open design makes installation faster than enclosed conduits like cable trunking, reducing labor costs for startups in Hub71 or DIFC. Maintenance is simpler too; technicians can quickly fix issues without dismantling entire systems, optimizing costs for SMEs and large corporations alike.
Safety and Compliance: Cable trays meet UAE's stringent safety standards. Their open design prevents overheating, a critical risk in UAE's hot climate, in environments like Ducab's plants or Dubai Silicon Oasis data centers. They also ensure clear cable organization, preventing hazards like tripping. This commitment to safety ensures passing inspections and boosts business reputation.
Aesthetic Appeal: In UAE's luxury-focused environment, cable trays offer clean, organized aesthetics. High-end retailers in Dubai Mall and Abu Dhabi's Galleria use them to hide wires, aligning with brand images. In corporate offices like Emirates and Etihad Towers, neatly organized trays reflect professionalism, impressing clients and partners in UAE's image-conscious business world.
Conclusion
In UAE's vibrant, tech-forward environment, cable trays are more than just wire managers; they're enablers of efficiency, safety, and style. From the towering data centres of Dubai to the smart villas of Abu Dhabi, cable trays support the infrastructure that drives the UAE's growth. They withstand the challenges of the climate, adapt to rapid technological changes, and enhance spaces across diverse sectors. By investing in quality cable trays, UAE businesses and homeowners aren't just organising cables; they're future-proofing their spaces, ensuring safety, and maintaining the high standards that define the UAE. In this dynamic nation, cable trays are an unseen yet indispensable foundation of success, playing a key role in comprehensive cable management solutions alongside cable trunking and PVC trunking.

Video Game Therapy, Or That is NOT How You Rip a Spine Out
076-2 gets the urge to kill something. Again. But Rabbit has a better idea: play some Mortal Kombat, and review. No one dies (in the site), but Abel is not impressed.
10 pm on a Saturday, and I'm supposed to be having a quiet drink with my Doctor. But no, Big Brother is misbehaving. He's been surly with the guards, with the staff, even with Iris. Not violent yet, but Dr. Gears and Dr. Clef are worried. But... I have a plan: instead of human targets, give him something less likely to result in massive casualties to take his aggression out on.
Cue my dumb ass wheeling in an AV cart with a TV, an Xbox, and a copy of Mortal Kombat. If it works, great. If not... if I survive I owe the Foundation some new equipment. And if I die, well... dead women owe nothing, right?
I set everything up, and knock.
"Hey, Big Brother? Do you want to fight a dictator? It doesn't have to be a dictator. Hell, you can even fight AS the dictator. C'mon, come teach Little Sister everything the game got wrong about combat. I brought pizza."
The door creaks open. "Did you say... pizza?"
"Uh huh. Deluxe, extra sausage and peppers, your favorite. All you gotta do is watch, learn a bit, and tell me how off the game is on some stuff."
"Pizza first, I do not want to ruin your toy."
"It's actually Clef's, but he's not fond of Xbox, so it's fine." I pass over the pizza and get started. He's checking out the character select screen, asking questions.
"Who is the yellow ninja?"
"Scorpion, also known as Hanzo Hasashi. He's... had it rough. Comes home from a hard day's work to find his clan massacred, his son and wife frozen, and the culprit about to leave. He thought it was the first ice dude Sub Zero, but it was the evil asshole sorcerer Quan Chi who did it. He did get his revenge, after killing all of a hell to do it. After that he and the first Sub Zero's brother, who is now the second Sub Zero are besties. He's got fire powers, can drag people to hell, and has a chain kunai. I like him."
"I can respect him. I think I have my choice."
He starts playing, and after a few rough matches, has got the hang of it. And is making snide comments about his opponents. The gamer is strong in this one.
"Terrible. That's not how you rip a spine out. First, you need to sever the neck muscles and tendons."
"She's nearly nude, and they let children play this? And 682 has less frightening teeth. I like her sais though."
"He froze me! I thought we were friends, Sub-Zero!"
"Where the hell did the hammer come from? Cheating (untranslatable) little soul sucking maggot!"
"Hah! Taste Shirai-Ryu steel, you coward!"
Yeah, experiment successful. Time to inform O5, maybe save some containment money.

Daiichikan RX-7
'93
Dengeki Tuned!
HKS FD3S RS
Shocking speed! 1 minute 2 seconds 67
Rival Group A!!: The fastest tuned HKS FD3S RS in history!
At the end of 92nd year, HKS made an emergency call to this magazine!
On December 11, 1992, the editorial department received a phone call from HKS. The content was that HKS would be testing the FD3S RX-7 at the Tsukuba circuit, which was created by fully utilizing the technology that HKS had cultivated so far, so he wanted me to be there.
Since he contacted me like this, he must have a lot of confidence. The best lap of the Tuned RX-7 so far at Tsukuba is the Night Sports RX-7 on August 25th last year with a time of 1 minute 6.1 seconds. Can it be shortened? The editorial department immediately headed to the Tsukuba circuit with a cameraman.
At 7:00 am on December 16th, Hagiwara, who was behind the steering wheel of the Group A HKS GT-R, got into the RX-7 named "FD3S RS" and the test started. The RX-7 laps smoothly, with the high-pitched exhaust note that is unique to the rotary. And the time that was beaten out was 1 minute 2.67 seconds! Fastest done in HA in the past.
Even looking at the time attack, it was a good time to beat the fastest production car based on the N1 specification Falken GT-R (1 minute 2.85 seconds). I was very clear about this. Furthermore, as a result of changing to slick tires as a reference, the time was reduced to 1:01:30!
Showing such amazing speed As for the tuning specs, the 13B engine body remains normal, but HKS specializes in turbo tuning + suspension and dynamic system enhancements centering on the TA45S turbine. With this specification, the maximum boost is 1.2kg/cm at 460ps.. The boost pressure during the test was 1.0 to 1.1kg/cm and Mr. Hagiwara said, "If the settings are adjusted more, the time should be shortened."
This FD3S RS HKS was developed with the aim of being a fast and fun sports car that can be used from the street to the circuit. Can't wait for the release!
PIC CAPTIONS
The test was conducted with Advan A029R tyres on AVS wheels. Changing to slick tires improved the time by 1.37 seconds.
Commemorative photo of HKS staff after the test. I really can't wait for the release of FD3S RS
The RS starts up the first hairpin and accelerates. The rotary exhaust note was also very impressive.
engine: Equipped with a turbo-tuned TA45S full turbine kit from HKS, the output is slightly over 400ps. It's amazing that the engine body remains normal now.

Being Frank 2
This post would be TOO long, so I’m breaking it up into two parts. Frank continues:
“The next project was to get timber for the floor joists. Where I got most of it for the subfloor and the joists was from the power line that was put through. The trees were cut down and left lay. I didn’t have a truck to haul these logs, but there was a 1952 Chevy two ton with the motor shot. I went to Saccos salvage and got a motor out of a Chevy that was wrecked. It fit in the truck and I used that to haul the logs to the sawmill in Palo Alto. It was twenty dollars a thousand board feet to have them sawed. I worked by myself logging. I drug the logs down and backed the truck into a ditch. I played out cables across the bed and used the tractor to winch the logs up in the bed; that was how I loaded them by myself. I had excess lumber after milling. Mike C. approached me to take down a silo and he put it up at his house. It was forty feet high. I had to take all the excess lumber and build a wooden scaffolding inside the silo. I got paid 500 dollars and I hired two guys who were tree trimmers to help. They were used to working high in the air. It took me two days to master myself to go all the way to the top of it. In those days I was afraid of heights! Everything had to go in those manholes and they’re not big! You put a round of scaffolding around every six feet. That’s how I got more seed money to build the house. I had no deadline and that was key. You can eat an elephant one bite at a time. It was a labor of love.
Now I began my hunt for other materials, wherever I could get them. After the trees from the farm, I bought a stone ranch house up on Brown Ave that was going to be demolished for Interstate 68. It was on a concrete slab and all stone exterior. I paid 100 dollars for it. All I wanted was the stone, rafters, paneling, 2x4 studding, and bathroom fixtures. I sold the windows, doors, and roof to a friend of mine who was building on Oliver Belt Rd for $100. So I got my money back on that deal. I hauled all that stone and material out here on that old truck, loading and unloading by hand. The basement of this house was studded out with the 2x4s and the paneling from that house. The bathtub was square and had two seats in it. The fireplace insert came from that house. I did have an old man, Elsy C., help me haul the stone. The stone for the planter came from Costello Construction, which was located on Valley Street, and I purchased other building material for the meat shop at the same time. The planter here, Max, laid that for me. He was a mason.
I was deer hunting over at the Gordon farm, now Hemmis, and found that big stone out front to the left. The one downstairs over the fireplace came from Cosgrove’s farm when I was plowing. There are some fossil stones on the patio that came from Wills Mountain. All the stone windowsills and lintels came from a building on Bedford street that was a tombstone company. When they were being demolished, I was able to get all the windowsills. I saved a pile of money on that! The stone slabs approaching the porch came from the parklet next to Times News when they were renovating. I bought all the cement I needed to lay the block and stone for 15 dollars from the B&O railroad damaged freight depot. Their freight agent was Tom R. One corner of the freight car got damp and I removed all the cement and cleaned the car out. When I was using the cement I had to take a window screen and put it over a 50 gallon drum. I had to screen all the cement so there wouldn’t be lumps in it.
The steel beam needed to run the entire 48 foot length of the house. Moore farm was having a sale where the current AC College is. I bought a two steel beams there that would cover the length and hauled them on the old Chevy. I also bought a stack of pine 2x10s. The beams were over the top of the truck and 5 or 10 feet out in front. I put a flag on the longer piece and hauled it on Sunday morning when there was no traffic. I put the beam on a wagon and brought it around to the back of the house with the tractor. I had pipes on the wall and slid the ends on one at a time. I worked each end over to the center and set it by myself. Next thing was to set the floor joists. I used sidecut boards on a diagonal for the subfloor. All oak! The diagonal boards add to the strength.
Over to the garage: the garage door came from a house in the Dingle where I was able to salvage many items. The structural steel supporting the roof/patio I set by myself with an old Dodge truck with a telephone pole on it. The header was steel, and came out of the B&O freight station on George Street. The other major steel beams came from the demolished Sears building that stood where the Holiday Inn parking lot now is. The next steel was 30ft long coal mine rails that came from Abe Feldstein’s salvage yard in LaVale. The corrugated metal decking that the concrete was poured on came from a B&O derailment at Swanton. Some of the same corrugated metal was used on the barn roof.
Interviewer: Well, Frank, did you get anything from West Virginia?
Frank: Hell no, they didn’t have anything to throw away!
The posts on the patio were originally pipes that I welded plates on the end of. The 6 inch steel beam that goes across the center was also salvage from a building. In later years when the Bowman’s addition flood program began, I salvaged some ornamental aluminum posts from a house behind Hartman’s Store. They weren’t long enough, so I cut the short ones and spliced them into the long ones. The ceiling joists for the patio were the 2x8s from the stone house I tore down on the I68 right-of-way. The patio step stringers were two pieces of timber from the B&O freight station. The two posts that are on the stairway came from the old German Brewery and the handrail, redwood, came from the farmhouse (Old George’s porch). All the rafters and ceiling joists for the house portion were salvaged from the loading dock at the B&O freight. All the plywood on the roof was from a ‘fire sale.’ The rail car overheated and the floor caught fire; the smoke damage to the plywood was severe enough that they couldn’t sell it. I paid 75 cents a sheet.
Downstairs there’s one room I didn’t finish. All the ceiling was salvaged drywall that had been damaged by forklifts at Valley Lumber. I had an Amish man swirl the ceiling down there. On the other side downstairs the ceiling was finished by tile that came out of the Woodmen of the World building, along with that maple cover over the planter. It was previously a banister at Woodmen of the World. The bedroom downstairs was finished with mismatched paneling from Valley Lumber. The interior of the closet was lined with leather-type paneling that came out of B&O.
My uncle Charles built these cabinets in the kitchen out of birch plywood. He was a finish carpenter. He also trimmed out all the oak trim doorways and baseboard in the house. The front doorway was custom built by Slim (Cecil), neighbors down the road here, and Don, from my sketch. The two birch doors, front and basement, solid core, I bought from the B&O freight claim agent Tom for 15$. The sidelights on the front door I bought from Bernie G. in Frostburg. The outside hanging light was from a yard sale for $5. It had a sidearm on it, but I figured I could adapt it to hang on a chain. The inside light there on the steps came from Westons department store.
There were many people who helped me build. We traded labor. Floyd, a carpenter, helped me frame; we traded labor. The stonework was crafted by Hayes Albert Northcraft, a WWI veteran. Elsy was the mudmixer. I was at this time working 7 days a week at the Kelly. Hayes laid all the stonework and this fireplace for $1,400 with no time in it for job completion. I had a dump truck with scaffolding I’d drive around the house and we’d throw the stone in the bed of the truck, then hoist it up on the scaffolding for him to pick out what he wanted. I was to move the scaffolding every day after he was finished. One time I missed it and he was laying the stone under the bay window. He left a divot in the stonework because I didn’t move the heavy timbers for him. That’s a forever reminder that I didn’t do my duty. Hank P., whom I worked with at the Kelly, was a part-time cement finisher. He’s the one who placed the penny in the front stoop.
Well, that was a long story. It seemed like I had all the time in the world in those days, and lots of energy. You might ask when I finally finished the house. I don’t think I ever have! In fact, this year (2016) I reclaimed the large plate glass windows from the solarium at Roy Roger’s restaurant when they tore it down and I’m using them to put a sun room on the back of the house. It’ll have a hot tub when I’m finished, and also the washer and dryer. So, you see, it remains a work in progress to this day.
My note: Frank, like my parents, was born slightly before WWII and lived in this area all his life. Members of the “Silent Generation” are getting fewer these days. I had my doubts about committing to this project, but now I’m very glad I did.

Voltage Fighting Gowcaizer (1995) 超人学園ゴウカイザー
Date: September 18, 1995 Platform: PlayStation / Neo Geo / Neo Geo CD / Arcade Developer: Technos Japan Corp. Publisher: SNK Genre: Fighting Theme: Sci-Fi / Martial Arts / Superhero Director: Da Zhang Zhengji Screenwriter: Kengo Asai Starring: Nobuyuki Hiyama / Satoshi Sakurai / Hikaru Midorikawa / Ryutaro Oki / Yumi Fuyuma / Noriko Kuwajima / Akira Hayami / Hideyuki Hori / Yoshiyuki Kono / Ai Orikasa / Yuko Nagashima /Makiko Omoto / Hideo Ishikawa Genre: Action / Science Fiction / Animation Country/Region of Production: Japan Language: Japanese Date: 1996 Duration: 91 minutes Also known as: Chojin gakuen Gowcaizer / Super Gakuen Steel King / Voltage Fighter Gowcaizer IMDb: tt0204034 Type: Appropriation
Summary:
Voltage Fighter Gowcaizer (known in Japan as Choujin Gakuen Gowcaizer, loosely translated to "Superhuman Academy Gowcaizer") is a 2D fighting game developed by Technōs and released by SNK for arcades (running Neo Geo MVS hardware) on September 18, 1995.
The second fighting game from Japanese developer Technōs after the fighting game adaptation of their Double Dragon series, Gowcaizer is themed heavily on superheroes in Japanese pop-culture. The game is known for the ability to give the player's fighter a special move of a defeated opponent (similar to the Mega Man series and obscure fighting game BloodStorm). It's also known for its animated OVA adaptation.
The game was later released for the Neo Geo AVS on October 20, 1995 and ported to the Neo Geo CD on November 24, 1995 (featuring a vocal-laden arranged soundtrack). It was later ported to the Sony PlayStation by Urban Plant on July 17, 1997 exclusive to Japan. This version uses a new gameplay engine (and does not include the arranged soundtrack or the ability to copy moves). Gameplay
By default, the game allows players to earn one special move from each of their defeated opponent (even in VS battles) and use them as their own. Players can only equip one Trace Move at a time, which can either be replaced (after defeating an opponent) or swapped out (after continuing, from a selection of moves from previously-defeated opponents). If the player has previously defeated an opponent that is the same as their current character (or have defeated a mirror match opponent), they can instead opt to gain a more powerful version of their own Trace Move.
Using the Neo Geo service menu, arcade operators can change this mechanic to either allow players to swap out their Trace Moves after every match (similar to continuing), force players to replace their current Trace Move with their defeated opponent's, remove the ability to swap out Trace Moves after continuing, or disable Trace Moves entirely.

Panopticon// Panoptikon
I am a prison, My own guard, Looking at every movement to find evidence of a crime to punish.
Perfect, exemplary citizen, Dutiful, the law by heart, Words tattooed over my skin. Written in my body, The movement, the form, The words I speak are only paraphrases, Keeping it alive.
And the walls are high and strong, All to not flee although the free air is all I long for, To scared of the punishment I become the prosecutor cutting the head of Olympe de Gouges body. Scilencing the declarations.
What hypocrite, Traitor, Kliché What else should I do? Perhaps I am just scared,
Letting my body become clay in the hands of the power, Soft spine, easily bent after their texts. Where is the steel? Months since I saw it, Everpresent since childhood,
Fading with time, Fallen off with darkening white curls, Paling with the skin on my nose.
How I wish I was what I was then, Proud girl of steel,
Who melted under the warm breath of power, Wax in hot hands, What happened? The proud voice only an echo Who's words I cannot read, To much shame to see my own image, Born from the little girl of steel.
// Jag är ett fängelse,
Min egen fångvaktare,
Som granskar varje rörelse i jakt på ett lagbrott att bestraffa.
Perfekt, exemplarisk medborgare,
Pliktetiker med lagboken i mitt sinne,
Orden tatuerade över min hud,
Ristade i kroppen,
Tystar deklarationerna.
Vilken hycklare,
Vax i dess händer, Vad hände? När blev den stolta stämman blott ett eka,
Vars ord jag inte kan läsa igen,
För mycket skam för att se min spegelbild
Som växte fram ur den lilla flickan av stål.

Ventilation and Cooling: Ensure the rack has adequate ventilation and cooling to prevent equipment from overheating.
Security: Consider a rack with locking doors or panels to prevent unauthorized access.
Adjustability: Look for a rack with adjustable shelves and mounting options to accommodate different equipment sizes.
Common Configurations
Standard 19-inch Rack: The most common configuration, with a 19-inch-wide rack and adjustable shelves.
Slim 19-inch Rack: A narrower version of the standard 19-inch rack, suitable for applications where space is limited.
Half-Height Rack: A shorter version of the standard 19-inch rack, suitable for applications requiring a lower profile.
Space Requirements
Floor Space: Ensure the rack has enough floor space to accommodate the equipment, with room for future upgrades.
Height Clearance: Ensure the rack has enough height clearance to accommodate the equipment and allow for future upgrades.
Depth Clearance: Ensure the rack has enough depth clearance to accommodate the equipment and allow for future upgrades.
Additional Considerations

Los Angeles, CA - A Hollywood Land
Los Angeles, CA, originally known as the Hollywood land is a melting pot of the diverse population of Americans, Asians, Hispanics, and other young people ethnicities. With almost 20% under 18, it's a popular destination for families. The city also boasts one of the most diverse Buddhist sects in the world, with 184 Buddhist centers. The Pacific Wheel in Santa Monica is the only solar-powered Ferris wheel in the world. Most famous palm trees in Los Angeles originated in Mexico, imported in the early 1930s. In the coming 2028, the city will host the Summer Olympics, marking the third time it has hosted the event.
Walt Disney Concert Hall
This Walt Disney Concert Hall was designed by Frank Gehry. It's the latest addition to the Music Center's four venues. It was built after Lillian B. Disney donated $50 million to build additional performance space to honor her late husband, Walt Disney. The concert hall is a sophisticated concert hall in the world that offers both visual and aural intimacy. The exterior features over 6,000 panels, creating a curving stainless steel skin that plays off the Dorothy Chandler Pavilion's bowed cornice. The interior uses natural materials and skylights, with massive columns clad in vertical grain Douglas fir. The 2,265-seat auditorium is a concrete box with walls made of Douglas fir and red oak floors.
Goldfish, Changed of Brand
I read from the news that Goldfish, a popular cracker brand, is changing its name to "Chilean Sea Bass" to appeal to adults. The change is a playful nod to the snack's appeal to grown-up tastes. Fans can purchase two bags of Chilean Sea Bass daily from 9 a.m. to 10 p.m. on ChileanSeaBassCrackers.com for $7.38. Traditional Goldfish can still be purchased at most retailers. According to the company, this temporary name change follows other brands like The Campbell Soup Company, Mountain Dew, Kraft Foods, and IHOP, which have tried to change their branding to reach new audiences.

31 Days of Dragon Age
Day 1 - Introduce your Hero of Ferelden
So, I told you I was gonna do it and here we are!
This is gonna be long so if you're interested in reading me going off the rails over pixels, please follow me into the depths of madness after the cut!
Like many in the fandom, I have done multiple runs of the game, all with different origins and class combinations and different characters so I have a few HoF that grew on me but none like my main girl, Astra Cousland.
She wasn't my first run, not by a long shot, but she's still my favourite and my canon world state and whenever I play origins (which is never lately, damn you DAO not working on modern PCs!) I usually go back to her now.
I don't have a good pic of her, but I'll give you one from the eraly game and one of how she looks like in DAI's cc (I can't wait to make her again in DAV cc)
She's a kind-hearted but pragmatic warrior who has nerves and convinctions of steel. Think of a classic paladin basically, but one that is willing to compromise to get the job done. Of course she has lines she'd never cross, like slavery or blood magic but, hey, if they have to do a bit of a dark ritual to save the day without anyone dying, she'll do it.
I actually intended her to be a clear foil for Loghain. They both have a sharp mind and are willing to get their hands dirty for their people but, unlike Loghain, she's aware that that mindset can lead her astray and is afraid of becoming a new Howe or Loghain and tries her best to not fall in the pit of hatred and vengence, especially since she wants to bring justice to her dead family members.
She romanced Alistair, because of course she did, and they rule Ferelden together, him being the heart and her the head of the country. She takes her duty as a grey warden siriously of course, but she still feel like Ferelden comes first on her list of duties and while she doesn't enjoy the power and restriction of the crown she thinks they both ave the best interests of Ferelden at heart, rather than the power the throne grants like Anora does, that's why she decided that they would be a good choice for King and Queen. To be fair to Anora, she thinks she did a good job as Cailan's Queen but she doesn't trust her enough to let her keep all that power after what her dad did. Besides, she loves Alistair and she doesn't want to have to force him into a political marriage nor to have him carry all the burden on his own so she becomes his queen, both for Ferelden and for him.
She's good friends with all the rest of the party as well, especially Morrigan, surprisingly enough. She just has the charisma of a born leader and everyone tends to flock to her.
I have another million things to say about her, like how much she loves her mabari, Tempest, or how she hates sweets. How she's fierce and unyielding in battle yet soft and caring with family and friends. How she's so unlady-like for a high noble yet savy enough to know how to win over the Landsmeet.
Astra is my girl with a good heart and head that life has hardened in a firce warrior and I love her.

The Switcheroo Saga: A High School Hijinks Adventure | Chapter 1: The Homecoming Crush
Synopsis: In "The Switcheroo Saga: A High School Hijinks Adventure", high school student Yeri Kim's crush on star quarterback Jeong Jaehyun takes an unexpected turn when she and mean girl cheerleader Soyeon switch bodies. As Soyeon navigates Yeri's nerdy frame, Yeri revels in Soyeon's flawless physique. Chaos ensues as they struggle to maintain their personas in each other's bodies. With the help of Yeri's sarcastic best friend Minho, the girls must find a way to reverse the body swap before their true identities are exposed. Along the way, they discover that being a mean girl isn't as easy as it looks, and that true power comes from self-acceptance and empathy. Will they find a way to switch back, or will their newfound understanding of each other change their lives forever?
Yeri Kim practically skips through the bustling hallways of Oakwood High, her eyes scanning the crowd for a glimpse of Jeong Jaehyun. It's the first day of the new school year, and Yeri is brimming with excitement, convinced that this will be the year her secret crush finally notices her.
As the straight-A student and president of the AV club, Yeri has always been a bit of an outsider, content to immerse herself in her studies and extracurricular activities. But this year, she has set her sights on a loftier goal – winning the heart of Oakwood's star quarterback, Jeong Jaehyun.
Yeri's heart flutters as she catches sight of Jaehyun, surrounded by his adoring group of jock friends. With his tousled dark hair, warm brown eyes, and confident swagger, Jaehyun is the epitome of high school royalty. Yeri knows she's just a nerdy blip on his radar, but she can't help but dream of the day when he'll finally see her as more than just a fellow student.
"This is it, Yeri," she murmurs to herself, adjusting her oversized glasses and straightening her shoulders. "This is the year you're going to get Jaehyun to notice you. And maybe, just maybe, he'll ask you to the Homecoming dance."
With a deep breath, Yeri steels her nerves and heads towards the group of popular jocks, determined to strike up a conversation with Jaehyun. Little does she know, her world is about to be turned upside down in the most unexpected way., Yeri takes a deep breath and approaches the table where Jaehyun and his friends are laughing and joking. Her palms are sweaty, and her heart is pounding in her chest, but she's determined to seize this opportunity.
"H-hi, Jaehyun," she stammers, cursing herself for the nervous quiver in her voice. "I, um, I just wanted to say hi and see how your summer was."
Jaehyun turns to her, his brows furrowing in momentary confusion. "Oh, hey, Yeri," he says, his tone polite but distant. "Yeah, my summer was great. Spent a lot of time training for the big game. You know how it is."
Yeri nods, her mind racing to find the right words. "That's awesome. I, uh, I can't wait to see you play. I mean, the whole school is really excited about the Homecoming game."
Before Yeri can say anything else, a shadow falls over the table, and she turns to see Soyeon, the reigning queen of Oakwood High's social hierarchy, glaring down at her with a cruel smirk.
"Well, well, if it isn't our resident AV club president," Soyeon purrs, her perfectly manicured nails tapping against the tabletop. "Trying to worm your way into Jaehyun's circle, are we?"
Yeri's face flushes with embarrassment as the entire cafeteria falls silent, all eyes turning towards the confrontation. "I-I was just talking to him," she stammers, her voice barely above a whisper.
Soyeon lets out a harsh laugh. "Oh, Yeri, you really are pathetic, aren't you?" She tosses her perfectly styled blonde hair over her shoulder and leans in, her eyes glinting with malice. "Did you honestly think Jaehyun would ever be interested in a geeky little nobody like you?"
Tears sting Yeri's eyes as Soyeon's words cut deep. The other students snicker and murmur, and Yeri feels her heart sink. She should have known better than to think she could ever be on Soyeon's level.
Turning on her heel, Yeri flees the cafeteria, her vision blurred by tears. All she wants to do is disappear, to escape the humiliation and the pain of Soyeon's cruel words. As she runs, she can't help but wonder if her dream of ever being with Jaehyun is nothing more than a hopeless fantasy., Yeri runs through the empty hallways, her heart pounding and tears streaming down her face. The humiliation she felt in the cafeteria is still raw, the sting of Soyeon's cruel words echoing in her mind.
As she bursts through the school's front doors and out into the crisp autumn air, Yeri's pace only quickens. She doesn't stop running until she reaches the sanctuary of her own bedroom, collapsing onto her bed in a heap of anguish.
Burying her face in her pillow, Yeri allows the tears to flow freely. Why did Soyeon have to be so mean? she wonders bitterly. Why does she always have to make me feel so small and insignificant?
Lifting her head, Yeri stares up at the ceiling, her vision blurred by the tears. If only I could switch places with Soyeon, she mutters to herself, her voice thick with emotion. Then I'd know what it feels like to be popular and powerful, instead of just a pathetic, geeky nobody.
The words hang in the air, a desperate wish born of Yeri's hurt and frustration. Little does she know, her simple utterance is about to set in motion a chain of events that will turn her world upside down.
As Yeri lies there, her body wracked with sobs, a strange tingling sensation begins to spread through her limbs. She blinks in confusion, her tears momentarily forgotten as she feels a shift in the air around her. Before she can even begin to process what's happening, the world seems to blur and distort, and Yeri's eyes flutter shut as a wave of dizziness washes over her.
When she opens them again, Yeri finds herself in unfamiliar surroundings. Gone is the cozy, familiar comfort of her own bedroom, replaced by a lavish, cheerleader-themed space that can only belong to one person: Soyeon.
Yeri sits up with a start, her heart racing as she looks down at her hands, now perfectly manicured and free of the calluses she's accumulated from years of tinkering with AV equipment. Slowly, the realization dawns on her – somehow, someway, her wish has been granted. She's in Soyeon's body, and the power and popularity she so desperately craved are now within her grasp.
But as Yeri takes in her new surroundings, a sense of unease begins to creep in. What exactly has she gotten herself into? And how on earth is she going to navigate the treacherous social landscape of Oakwood High as the school's reigning mean girl?, Yeri tosses and turns in the unfamiliar bed, her mind racing with the events of the day. The humiliation she felt in the cafeteria, Soyeon's cruel words, and her desperate wish to switch places – it all feels like a surreal dream.
As Yeri shifts in the plush, lavish bedding, a strange tingling sensation begins to spread through her body. She pauses, her brow furrowing in confusion, and slowly opens her eyes, expecting to see the familiar surroundings of her own bedroom.
But what greets her is anything but familiar. Yeri finds herself in a room that is far more extravagant than her modest abode, with walls adorned with cheerleading memorabilia and a vanity overflowing with expensive makeup and hair products.
Sitting up with a start, Yeri looks down at her hands, her eyes widening in disbelief. These are not her own hands – they're slender and perfectly manicured, a far cry from the slightly calloused fingers she's used to. Panic begins to rise in her chest as she runs her hands over her face, feeling the smooth, flawless skin and the distinct shape of her nose and jaw.
It can't be, she whispers, her voice barely above a trembling breath. This has to be a dream.
But as Yeri takes in her surroundings, the realization slowly dawns on her. Somehow, someway, her wish has been granted. She's no longer in her own body – she's in Soyeon's.
Yeri's heart races as she tries to make sense of what's happening. How is this possible? And what on earth is she supposed to do now?
Sliding out of the bed, Yeri approaches the vanity, her gaze fixed on the reflection staring back at her. Gone is the geeky, bespectacled girl she's used to seeing – in her place is the confident, beautiful visage of Soyeon, the very person she's always envied and resented.
Yeri reaches out, tentatively touching the mirror, as if to confirm that this isn't some cruel trick of the light. But the reflection remains, unwavering and undeniable.
She's in Soyeon's body. And the implications of this startling revelation begin to sink in, leaving Yeri both exhilarated and utterly terrified., Across town, in a modest, unassuming bedroom, Soyeon's eyes snap open, her heart pounding in her chest. Something is terribly wrong. The plush, cheerleader-themed surroundings she's so accustomed to have been replaced by a simple, cluttered room – one that is decidedly not her own.
Soyeon sits up with a start, her gaze darting around the unfamiliar space. Where am I? she wonders, her brow furrowing in confusion. This isn't my room.
Reaching up to push a stray lock of hair out of her face, Soyeon freezes, her eyes widening in horror. These aren't her hands – they're smaller, with slightly crooked fingers and a smattering of freckles across the knuckles. Panic rising in her chest, Soyeon scrambles out of the bed and rushes to the mirror, her breath catching in her throat at the reflection that greets her.
A piercing scream rips through the silence of the room as Soyeon stares back at the face of Yeri Kim, complete with oversized glasses and a mouthful of braces. She recoils in disgust, her hands trembling as she runs them over the unfamiliar features.
"No, no, no, this can't be happening!" Soyeon cries, her voice laced with a mixture of terror and disbelief. "How is this possible? What have you done to me, Yeri?"
Soyeon's mind races as she tries to make sense of the situation. One moment, she was in her own bed, surrounded by the trappings of her carefully curated life as Oakwood High's reigning queen bee. And now, she's trapped in the body of the very girl she's spent years tormenting and belittling.
Panic and confusion give way to a growing sense of dread as Soyeon realizes the full implications of her predicament. Not only is she stuck in Yeri's nerdy, awkward frame, but she's also lost all of the power and influence that came with her own social status.
Soyeon sinks to the floor, her head in her hands, as she frantically tries to figure out how to reverse this unexpected body swap. The thought of having to navigate the social hierarchy of Oakwood High as Yeri Kim fills her with a sense of pure, unadulterated horror.
This can't be happening, she thinks, her mind whirling with a thousand panicked thoughts. There has to be a way to fix this – and she'll do whatever it takes to get her old life back.
