Then he continues

“…at that ball, i forgot which, but you spoke out against a group of nobles, you spoke of youre ideals and you showed your passion…of course it was put down but I thought it- you were…astounding,” he recounts

“I did want to speak with you… but you were always unreachable, a noble, withdrawn yet you had such passion and interesting ideas. I thought maybe you couldve kept up with me, and i was right. But then you proposed to me you and your brothers plans, you showed the fruits of your labor and your passion and ideals on full display, you were going to die for those ideas. So yet again you were unattainable…then you locked yourself up, you withdrew and distanced yourself…” Mycroft rambled as his eyes became unfocused and his voice grew raspier with emotions, unknown to even him.

"Then as you know as you were locked away, i sent to you charles dickens and those little notes to you, it was an olive branch... to reassure you that your not alone, that you still had me, a small light to brighten your day... then finally Ive convinced you to come out...to live again and now youre finally within reach.." he finished with a smile yet his eyes look distant and glassy

i had random tabs open and only just now looked over this dialogue again. manisumea dialogue lowkey fucked up. the way dnangel manga canon ends is by dark leaving daisuke and returning to the kokuyoku with krad, thereby lifting the niwa and hikari family's curses n allowing them to live normal lives. but this dialogue (happening surrounding the topic of the niwa's mortality + dark's immortality) suggests smth like immortality for daisuke instead??? by he n dark's merging which can be in a healthy(healthier) or completely unhealthy way. i don't doubt that what happened with krad is what dark could do with daisuke, making daisuke a 'part of him' by swallowing his body up entirely and controlling it entirely for himself. only, dark has always desired for coexistence, so it's not his style compared to goading and tempting the niwa (like a creep) to become one with him instead. likewise the 'healthiest' option for dark n daisuke 'becoming one' would be a proper merge- the two of them quite literally becoming just one person. one of the major plot points of the manga IS dark n daisuke's merging even being disrupted by satoshi and krad. there's a lot of moral n philosophical pondering anybody could put into this but what tha hell satoshi might have known it (or at least figured out the sense of it) and stopped daisuke from fucked up magical girl phantom thief immortality by shooting his ass that one time

VERY IMPORTANT a dam in the Netherlands, the weerdsluis lock, is directly on a migratory path for spawning fish. They have a worker stationed there to open the door for the fish, but they can take a while to open it. So to keep the fish from getting preyed on by birds they installed a doorbell. Only, the fish don't have hands to ring the doorbell. If you go to their website, they have a LIVE CAMERA AND A DOORBELL that YOU RING FOR THE FISH when they're waiting, and then the dam worker opens the door for them! I can't express how obsessed I am with this. look at this shit. oh my god.

Please check on the fish doorbell once in a while :)
