Hey so FFXIV had some mythos designs for some greek gods as fights and last expansions final raid tier boss had a really accurate Artemis inspired by Artemis of Ephesus weirdly enough. This final raid tier boss is Athena that's heavily butterfly based and kinda reminded me of the Pandora from Persona 1 and its only tangentally related to Hephaestus and Athena from the raid story. Is there something to the butterfly design for Pandora and/or Athena? I always thought the butterfly design was more to represent Maki than Pandora?

I can't say for certain- for Pandora, I always assumed her P1 design was based in the broader butterfly motif from Philemon, or otherwise just a basic sign of metamorphosis from her first form to the next; I'm not aware of any butterfly association in Greek mythology proper.

As for Athena, there is at least some precedent in that there are depictions (as in this Bertel Thorvaldsen relief) of her holding a butterfly over the head of the first clay-man to visualize the life-giving act, but that seems like a long way to go for this FFXIV design.

OK but for like, a pjo x jjk au thing uhhhh Gojo I wanna say has been at camp ever since he was like, 5, and also he was the one who found Megumi and brought him back.

I've also thought like that Gojo can be a child of Zeus and Okkotsua child of Hades bc yannow dead girlfriend and whatnot.

For Yuji and Choso I'm thinking like same parent but different camp? Maybe? I dunno for their parent either.

Kugisaki I've seen some say Heaphestsus but idk about that him or Aries for her and Fushiguro is a child of Athena.

Princaple Yaga is definitely like Heaphestus or something bc he makes Panda and stuff yeah.

Sukuna would have to be Yuji's brother but I'm thinking like maybe Aries for his dad? But also I don't want Yuji to be related to Aries so idk.

Maki and Mai in Hermes maybe? And Inumaki maybe Aphrodite or Apollo. The cursed speech thing can literally be just he was "blessed" and now people have to do what he says yay.

Also it'd be funny if he was in Apollo bc then it's like him and Okkotsu. Hades and Apollo kids. Yannow.

Geto I was kinda thinking maybe Hypnos? I don't want him to be a Hades kid but at the same time I don't know many Greek deities. I've only watched the disney show. Ask me about egyptian though--

Anyway Shoko is definitely an Apollo kid with her healing and stuff, and Nanami idk but I kinda wanna say Dionysus or Demeter. Haibara maybeeeeee Demeter as well.

The whole thing with Riko I wanna say was Gojo and Geto found her and were trying to bring her to camp but she died unclaimed bc some cultists or something and yeah then Geto spirals.
